Orlando, Florida Mayor Buddy Dyer, who has proclaimed today "Impact Wrestling Day" in the city of Orlando, is tonight's special guest ring announcer.
Eli Drake, Chris Adonis and Ethan Carter III beat Eddie Edwards, Naomichi Marufuji and Moose when EC3 tries to use the Impact Grand Championship as a weapon. He misses and falls victim to a bicycle kick, but as the referee puts the title away, EC3 hits a low blow on Moose followed by a piledriver-like move in order to get the win for his team.
MacKenzie Mitchell takes to the large exercising man, whose name is Richard Justice. He is warming up in case he is needed to fill time.
We see a vignette for a new tag team coming soon to Impact.
Next week: Impact Live returns to Long Island and Staten Island in New York City!
Lashley shows up. He says that when he started in wrestling, there was a pecking order where you start at the bottom and work your way to the top. It seems to him that people are getting title shots as soon as they show up, and if anyone tries to get past him to a title, he will break them in half. He calls out Bruce Prichard, and demands to know when he will be getting his World title shot and who he has to face at Destination X. Prichard shows up, but so does Matt Sydal, and Sydal makes it very clear that he will not be ignored. Lashley shoves him to the mat, but when he goes for a Spear, Sydal jumps up and knees Lashley in the face before hitting the Shooting Star Press.
We get a closer look at Taiji Ishimori and Davey Richards.
Taiji Ishimori beats Davey Richards to continue to the semi-finals of the Super X Cup Tournament, where he will face ACH.
Bruce Prichard announces that Lashley and Sydal will face each other at Destination X on August 17th, and that the winner will receive a World title shot.
Sienna retains the GFW Unified Knockouts Championship against Rosemary in a Last Knockout Standing after a distraction by KM - which earns him green mist to the face - allows Sienna to toss a trash can at Rosemary, knocking her off the top turnbuckle and through a table outside of the ring.
Joseph Park and Grado get ready for Grado popping the question to Laurel Van Ness.
In footage from earlier tonight, we finally find out what that move EC3 won the six-man tag match earlier tonight with: the ECD, the Ethan Carter Driver.
Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Alberto El Patron. El Patron says he knows where is going, and that the Latin-American Xchange does not. He says that Konnan was crazy then and is crazy now, and promises that Konnan will pay for what he did to his family.
Before the next match, Trevor Lee says he is Impact Wrestling X Division Champion. Lee says he is a fighting champion, "unlike that Sonjay Dutt guy." He says he has found another opponent, and claims that he is one of the very best in Mexico. That man in Octagoncito.
Octagoncito beats Trevor Lee by count-out when Lee gives up and Octagoncito proves to be too much for him. Sonjay Dutt, who is still barred from the building, goes after Trevor Lee, but does not get very far thanks to security.
Konnan tells the rest of the Latin-American Xchange that he does not know why Alberto El Patron wants to take them on in a gauntlet match. Konnan puts Ortiz up first, saying that El Patron has lingering injuries only he knows about, and says he will be enough to take El Patron down.
Joseph Park and Grado show up. Grado is in an orange, gold and black tuxedo with a sports pack. Konnan asks Laurel Van Ness to come to the ring, and she shows up. Sienna is with Laurel, telling her not to do this, but Laurel isn't listening. Grado says Van Ness is the most beautiful woman she has ever laid on, and says they have a connection like no one else. Grado gets down on one knee, and pulls out the wedding ring, asking her to be his wife. Allie shows up, happy for Van Ness, but Braxton Sutter shows up and takes her to the back. Kongo Kong then shows up, and Grado gets out of the ring. Van Ness tells Kongo Kong to calm down.
Alberto El Patron vs. the Latin-American XChange in a Gauntlet Match ends when LAX attacks El Patron as he puts Santana in a Cross Arm Breaker. At this point, El Patron has already beaten Homicide and Ortiz. After the match, El Hijo del Dos Caras tries to save El Patron, but LAX proves to be too much for him. After Dos Caras comes out with a steel chair, The Veterans of War (Mayweather and Wilcox) rush in to fight LAX, and Alberto El Patron is able to fight LAX off with a steel chair to end the show.
Here's the post-show for this week's episode!
