Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 26, 2017

Ember Moon beats Lei'D Tapa. After the match, Ember Moon says she wants Asuka at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III, as Asuka wants a challenge and competition. She says she is all that and more. Ember Moon says they have tied up before, and she is ready to defeat the undefeated. She asks if Asuka is ready for Ember Moon.

We see a vignette for Aleister Black.

The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) never get a chance to face David Ramos and Timothy Bumpers, as Nikki Cross suddenly shows up and Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain attack Ramos and Bumpers from behind. This leads to a brawl between SAnitY (Dain and Wolfe) and The Authors of Pain, and The Authors manage to hold their own.

We see a vignette for Street Profits - Montez Ford (previously Kenneth Crawford) and Angelo Dawkins.

We learn that the identity of the woman seen with Andrade "Cien" Almas is Selina Vega. We then see footage from earlier today of a confrontation between No Way Jose and Selina Vega. Vega commends No Way Jose for handling his business, but stuck his nose in Almas', and has now lit a fire that he will not be able to dance around as a result.

Velveteen Dream beats Cezar Bononi. After the match, Velveteen Dream wants no part of an interview in front of "the ugliness of the NXT Universe."

NXT General Manager William Regal says Ember Moon is ready for Asuka. Ember Moon vs Asuka for the NXT Women's Championship is official for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III.

Drew McIntyre shows up. McIntyre that in one month's time, the main event will be him vs. Bobby Roode for the NXT title. McIntyre thanks those who have been along for the ride through all this. McIntyre says he now only looks forward, as back then, he was known as "The Chosen One," but failed when he just expected opportunity to come to him and stopped working hard. When he left WWE, he knew this was his responsibility, and if he had to succeed, he had to work hard. As he grew, the business grew with him, as everyone sacrificed to get that much better, and this is why he signed with NXT. McIntyre says everyone works together to get better...all except for one Bobby Roode. McIntyre sees nothing but entitlement in Roode's eyes, and says nobody owes him a thing. He says this is the people's NXT. Everyone rises to their feet as McIntyre tells Roode that "We are NXT."

Next week: Bobby Roode responds to Drew McIntyre! Johnny Gargano vs. Raul Mendoza!

Raul Mendoza says he knows Gargano has been training hard, but so has he. Next week, it may be about him, not Gargano.

Kassius Ohno beats Hideo Itami by disqualification after Hideo Itami kicks him in the crotch. During the moon, it is announced that Asuka will return next week to address Ember Moon. After the match, Hideo continues to attack Ohno, and hits him with the GTS twice. Hideo turns to leave, but comes back and sends Ohno face-first into the steel steps.
