Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 31, 2017

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up to start tonight's show. He welcomes everyone to the show, and says he has awesome show in store. He announces that Big Show will take on Big Cass tonight, that Jason Jordan is the guest on tonight's Miz TV and that Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe are in a Triple Threat Match for the main event. He also says this is the 21st anniversary of him winning a gold medal "with a broken freakin' neck," and thanks the fans for making his entire career possible. As Angle leaves, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman arrive. Heyman says he knows what Angle is doing, and that he knows he wants to take the Universal Championship off Brock Lesnar. Heyman mentions the sheer size, strength and speed of Braun Strowman, who could be Universal Champion at any other time. He then mentions "The Undertaker slaying" Roman Reigns, as well as "the Samoan disgrace" Samoa Joe. Heyman says he wants to stick it to him as he also has a demanding company to answer to, and says they will fight over who will become champion tonight just like at SummerSlam. He says SummerSlam might as well be called the night Lesnar loses the Universal Championship, and if he does, he and Lesnar will both leave the WWE. Heyman insists that Lesnar will not lose the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.

The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) guest on commentary for the next match.

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson). After the match, The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) and The Hardys brawl on the stage, and Gallows & Anderson also get involved. In the end, The Hardys come out on top.

Renee Young interviews Dean Ambrose. After seeing what happened between Ambrose and The Miztourage (The Miz, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) last week, Ambrose admits he and Seth Rollins looked good last week, but before he can say if they are getting back together, Rollins shows up. Rollins says last week felt like old times, but Ambrose says he still doesn't trust him. He says Rollins burned him once, and he is not letting that happen again.

Seth Rollins runs into Sheamus and Cesaro backstage. Sheamus and Cesaro said they started out with the exact opposite experience as him and Ambrose, and that Ambrose will never trust him again after stabbing him in the back. They continue to mock their former friendship, then Rollins gets angry, considers this a challenge, and tells them to figure out which one of them will face him tonight. Sheamus says that will be him, and tells Rollins he is in a hole...and when you are in a hole, you stop digging.

Akira Tozawa, Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander beat "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese, TJP and Ariya Daivari. Before the match, it is announced that Tozawa will take on Daivari on 205 Live tomorrow night, with the winner taking on Neville for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at SummerSlam.

It's time for Miz TV with The Miztourage (The Miz, Maryse, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) with special guest Jason Jordan. Miz asks questions, and talks over Jordan when he tries to answer them. Jordan says the crowd is going to react however they are going to react, and also says The Miz is the master of boos. The Miz then offers Jordan a proposition, and asks him to let him guide his career by joining The Miztourage. Jordan declines, but Miz insists he needs his help. Jordan declines again, Miz says Jordan doesn't want to join because Angle will hand everything to him, but Jordan says he has made it clear to his dad that he wants to earn his way to everything, and says he would rather be chewed up and spit out instead of being associated with The Miz when The Miz says the WWE will chew him up and spit him out. Miz then starts disrespecting his father General Manager Kurt Angle, saying he is sad, broken and waiting for glory days that are never coming back just like his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jordan tells Miz he can say all he wants about him, but if he says one more thing about Kurt, he will make him regret it. Bo and Axel get in Jordan's face, and Miz backs them away before turning around and trying to punch him. Jordan ducks, then belly-to-belly suplexes Miz into Bo and Axel before getting out of the ring.

We see a video message from Roman Reigns, who says he will send Braun Strowman back to the hospital and stand tall against Samoa Joe tonight.

Seth Rollins beats Sheamus with a surprise roll-up, then Sheamus and Cesaro attack Seth and hit him with a double-team White Noise after the match. Cesaro and Sheamus then pretend to leave the ring only to go back in, and Dean Ambrose rushes in to make the save only to fall victim to a Neutralizer from Cesaro. After that, Ambrose gets up and begs for more, and he falls victim to a Brogue Kick from Sheamus.

We see a video message from Samoa Joe, where he says that nobody has dominated Roman Reigns like him and that he will make Braun Strowman pay for sticking his nose in his business. Tonight, someone is going to sleep.

We learn about Special Olympics athlete Justin "JJ" Jones, courtesy of WWE and Special Olympics' "Creating Champions." JJ and his family are then seen in the front row.

Bray Wyatt shows up. Bray Wyatt shows up. Bray says there is no escape...not for you, not for your children, and certainly not for Finn Balor. He says that no mortal man can escape the darkness. He tells the crowd that they are pitiful and trying to be something they are not, but he sees them because he is Bray Wyatt and he is everywhere. He then addresses the Balor Club, saying they are "infected with the sickness of hope" and think their lives can one day be special. He says the Balor Club sees Finn Balor do extraordinary things, but he sees Finn for what he truly is and says that he is living on borrowed time. He asks the Balor Club how it felt when he hit Finn Balor with Sister Abigail, and tells them that sometimes, when life knocks them down, there is no escape. Suddenly, Finn Balor makes his presence known, but when the lights go out, Finn Balor is already in the ring, his back turned to ray. Bray puts his hand on him to grab him, but Finn Balor answers with a Pele Kick before knocking him over the guardrail outside of the ring.

We see a video message form Braun Strowman. Braun says he does what he wants, when he wants to whom he wants. He wants to hurt Roman and Joe tonight, and reduce them to whimpering flesh and broken bones.

Roman Reigns beats Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe in a Triple Threat Match.

Big Show is doing push-ups in the locker room when Enzo Amore shows up. He apologizes to him for getting him involved in his feud with Big Cass. He tells Big Show he didn't have to help him, but he did, and thanks him for that. Big Show admits that Enzo did get him involved, but Big Cass is seven feet tall and needs a lesson in respect...and he can teach that.

Elias Samson, now known as just Elias, plays guitar and sings for the crowd. He says he grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, then proceeds to verbally crap on the town and the people in it because he can. He is then interrupted by Kalisto.

Elias beats Kalisto.

Charly Caruso interviews Alexa Bliss. Alexa makes fun of both Bayley and Sasha Banks, and says that with Sasha out of the picture, nobody will be able to bail Bayley out of her match with Nia Jax, which she says will be a massacre.

We see a sneak preview of Pure Country Pure Heart, featuring "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose talk in the locker room. Seth thanks Dean for saving him earlier, but Dean says Seth put him in a position where if he did not show up, he would look like the bad guy. He tells Seth that the next time he picks a fight to pick a fight with someone he knows he can beat, and doubts that Seth would do the same for him.

Bayley beats Nia Jax by count-out when Alexa Bliss goes after Bayley outside of the ring. Bayley sees Alexa coming and fights her off, but Nia Jax attacks her from behind. Nia Jax is about to run into Bayley when Bayley dodges her, causing Nia Jax to run smack dab into the ring post. Bayley manages to get back into the ring in time.

Renee Young interviews Big Cass, who says that Big Show and Enzo Amore cannot respect themselves, much less teach him a lesson in respect. He says his grandmother says that you are judged by the company you keep, and if this is true then Big Show is nothing more than a miscreant. He then says that you'll see what respect looks like when Big Show is in a heap in the middle of the ring.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore says Big Cass has done some terrible things. He says he has, too, but he has never eaten the brown part of a bruised banana before he stops keeping it real. He says that Big Show will cash him a reality check, and that the only that will be bouncing is Big Cass.

Big Show vs. Big Cass ends when Enzo Amore jumps on top of Big Cass. Big Show is able to get up just long enough to hit Big Cass with a knockout punch after the match.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
