Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 6, 2017

We see The Latin-American Xchange (Konnan, Homicide, Santana, Ortiz, Diamante) playing dominoes, and Konnan has some news. Tonight, he plans to announce the newest member of LAX.

Alberto El Patron shows up with Dos Caras and El Hijo del Dos Caras as the Unified GFW World Champion. Tonight, El Patron says we celebrate, and says Mexicans can party because they can. He says he knows how to throw a good party, and that his family definitely has to be involved. He introduces us to his little brother, El Hijo del Dos Caras - who he says we will see more of soon, and his father, Dos Caras. Last week, he had the most difficult fight of his life, and if it weren't for the fans, he would have given up that night. He calls Lashley "a tough son-of-a-bitch," and says he will respect him every single day of his life because of it. But tonight, he stands in front of everyone as the undisputed champion. El Patron says he is a fighting champion, and every opponent he faces will have an opportunity at the World title. If someone wants a piece, he is here. He says "come and get it." Suddenly, Lashley shows up, and calls El Patron "a huge egomaniac" before talking about how he dominated week after week as the champ, and said he never had any parties or confetti. Lashley tells El Patron that he is celebrating because of a fluke win, and he would be embarrassed after something like this. He then questions if Dos Caras and El Hijo del Dos Caras should be here, and says they should be "kept where they belong" with a wall built around them. Dos Caras slaps Lashley, and referees and officials have to keep both men apart as Lashley threatens to beat him up. At this point, Lashley wants to throw down. El Patron says if he wants a match, he's got it tonight.

Bruce Prichard tells Josh Mathews and Jeremy Borash that if they continue to bicker from this point forward, they will both be fired. This ultimatum also extends to Da Pope.

The stars of Swole Mates, Andya Velcich and Freddie Hardy, are seen in the front row before the next match.

Sonjay Dutt beats Caleb Konley. After the match, Sonjay is attacked from behind by Trevor Lee, says he will become the new X Division champ, and steals the belt.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews The Veterans of War (Mayweather and Wilcox), Eddie Edwards and a returning Grado. The four of them plan plan to win their eight-man tag team match for America, even though Grado is from the United Kingdom. We then see a rather large man in a black and gray unitard exercising to the side.

Eddie Edwards, Grado and The Veterans of War (Mayweather and Wilcox) beat Eli Drake, Chris Adonis, Fallah Baah and Mario Bokara. Before the match, Drake and Adonis mouth off at Swole Mates stars Andya Velcich and Freddie Hardy. After the match, Joseph Park shows up. Fallah Baah briefly wants a piece of him, and Grado talks with him briefly in the ring until Park shows him a piece of paper. Despair appears on Grado's face before he leaves the ring with Joseph Park.

Matt Sydal beats Braxton Sutter. After the match, Allie checks on Sutter. Sutter shows some slight frustration, but asks Allie to come with him afterward.

The Latin-American Xchange (Konnan, Homicide, Santana, Ortiz, Diamante) are playing dominoes. Konnan says everyone is wondering who their new member is. Tonight, they will show them, and become better than ever.

Jeremy Borash announces the Super X Cup. Eight participants will enter, but only one will win. The eight participants are introduced, and the first round matches are as follows: Sammy Galvara vs. Drago, ACH vs. Andrew Everett, Taishi Ishimore vs. Davey Richards, and Dezmond Xavier vs. Idris Abraham. The first match-up in the tournament is tonight, and it will be Xavier vs. Abraham.

We get a look at Ibris Abraham. He is not very fond of Dezmond Xavier, and he plans to go all the way.

We get a look at Dezmond Xavier. He plans to prove himself against the world's best competitors, starting with Ibris Abraham.

Dezmond Xavier beats Ibris Abraham to continue to the next round of the Super X Cup Tournament.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Gail Kim, who has a huge announcement next week. She says this is a long time coming, and that life is all about timing and her time is now. If she can iron out a few details, she will be able to make that announcement.

We get a look at Naomichi Marufuji.

Dezmond Xavier says the Super X Cup is the best in the world, and that the cup will soon be his. As for his corkscrew splash, it won't be the last time we see it.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Moose when Ethan Carter III shows up. He finds it embarrassing that an outsider is getting a title shot and he does not. Moose tells Ethan Carter III that if he wants a shot at the Grand Championship, he had better go to the back of the line. EC3 says he will remember that title, and that he will remember him.

Sienna beats Rebel with the arm trap after Rebel wastes time fighting KM outside of the ring.

Next week: Naomichi Marufuji vs. Moose!

Lashley vs. Alberto El Patron for the Unified GFW Impact World Heavyweight Championship ends when The Latin-American Xchange (Konnan, Homicide, Santana, Ortiz, Diamante) attack Lashley. Konnan then announce that the LAX takeover begins now, and announces their newest member: Alberto El Patron, who retains the Unified GFW Impact World Heavyweight Championship.
