Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 13, 2017

In footage from earlier today, Grado and Joseph Park make their way to the arena in an old Volkswagen Beetle. We find out that Grado will have to get married, as he is about to be kicked out of the country unless he does so.

The Latin-American XChange show up. Last week, Konnan promised a new soldier in LAX, and introduces that new soldier: Alberto El Patron. El Patron shows up, and wants to know what Konnan is doing, as they have both friends for years. He then says Konnan did not even ask El Patron if he wanted to join. El Patron says he is a leader, not a follower. Konnan asks El Patron if he has forgotten the problems he had with WWE and the problems he himself had with TNA, and asks him to join. El Patron says he has not forgotten, and thinks about it every day, but it is in the past and he is in a better place with better opportunities. El Patron tells Konnan his problem is that he has become a bitter man. As for himself, he will stay a loner. El Patron tells Konnan his problem is that he has become a bitter man. As for himself, he will stay a loner. Konnan tells El Patron that he is no longer alone, and that LAX is his family. All he has to do is say yes. El Patron tells him "The answer is no, you son of a bitch!" Konnan then sics LAX on El Patron. Suddenly, Lashley rushes into the ring and fights off all of LAX by himself, saving El Patron. Lashley then hands one of the world titles to El Patron and leaves.

Orlando, Florida Mayor Buddy Dyer declares July 5th "Impact Wrestling Day" in the city of Orlando, and one of the survivors of the Pulse nightclub shooting unveils a new memorial for the victims of that shooting.

We get a closer look at ACH, who plans to springboard his career with the Super X Cup.

We get a closer look at Andrew Everett, who wants to win the Super X Cup to get one step closer to the X Division Championship.

ACH beats Andrew Everett to continue to the second round of the Super X Cup Tournament.

Jeremy Borash introduces Gail Kim back to Impact Wrestling. She says that she has been so grateful with the most talented, respected people in the business and travel the world to perform for millions of fans, and has given his soul, mind and body to wrestling, and does not regret it. She announces that at the end of 2017, she will officially be retiring from the ring. She thanks the women of the Knockouts division that she has worked with through the years, and thanks everyone in the company for allowing her to be her. She says that this is not the end, and that she plans to go out on top in Impact Wrestling.

Chris Adonis shows up, and messes with the two stars of Swole Mates, Andya Velcich and Freddie Hardy. Both men get in, and this starts a pose-down between the stars of Swole Mates and Chris Adonis. Adonis gets physical with one guy, but the other one confronts him. Eli Drake shows up and tells Adonis to head back to the back, and referees show up to restore order before this gets worse.

Octagoncito beats Demus.

Joseph Park has to get Grado fired up to ask a Knockout for their hand in marriage, but he has no luck, especially with Allie when Braxton Sutter is seeing what is going on. The huge stretching man from last week is in the background. Park hands Grado some champagne and chocolate, as he has an idea.

Matt Sydal talks about his early days in Impact Wrestling.

Ethan Carter III shows up and guests on commentary for the next match.

Naomichi Marufuji vs. Moose for the Impact Grand Championship ends when EC3 attacks Marufuji with the ring bell in the middle of Round 3. He goes after Moose after the match ends, but Moose hits him with a bicycle kick.

The Latin-American Xchange talk about El Patron outside of the arena. Konnan says Alberto El Patron should stop pandering to the fans, and realize that LAX is his family. He then tells LAX to show some tough love and send a message by putting El Patron in the hospital.

Before the next match, Trevor Lee - with the Impact Wrestling X Division Championship around his waist - says he has decided to become the fighting champion the X Division deserves. He has looked far and wide for an opponent to defend the title against...and finds William Weeks. He plans to be a real champion, unlike Sonjay Dutt, and tells the referee not to put the belt on the ground or else someone will steal it. William Weeks attacks Trevor Lee form behind, and the match begins. We then see footage of Sonjay Dutt being taken out of the building by security.

Trevor Lee beats William Weeks. After the match, Sonjay Dutt shows up through the crowd and goes after Trevor Lee to get the Impact Wrestling X Division Championship back, but falls just short and Trevor Lee makes it up the entrance ramp with the title still in his possession.

Laurel Van Ness beats Ava Storie, then Grado shows up with Joseph Park. Grado introduces himself to Laurel, then butters her up. He then asks her out, but before Laurel can answer, Kongo Kong shows up, and Grado and Joseph Park have enough sense to get out of the ring.

Alberto El Patron and Lashley beat LAX (Santana and Ortiz). After the match, both Lashley and El Patron show respect to each other, and as Lashley leaves, El Patron tells Lashley they make a great team. As he says this, he is attacked from behind by LAX (Konnan, Santan, Ortiz, Homicide, Diamante), and this time, Lashley just smiles and refuses to help El Patron. Konnan tells El Patron that if he turns his back on him, this is what he gets, and LAX hold El Patron down and drape his face with the Puerto Rican flag to end the show.
