Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 24, 2017

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up to start tonight's show. For the past few months, he has been dealing with a private matter that has taken up a lot of his time and kept him from being an effective General Manager. Last week, he made that matter public by announcing that Jason Jordan was his son. Since then, he has made up for lost time, and Jordan will have his first match on Raw tonight. Jason has been given the opportunity, and it is now all up to him. He then says Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe had an opportunity last week, but fate had other plans. Before Angle announces who will face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam, Braun Strowman shows up. He says Joe introduces himself to Strowman, whom he admits has never crossed paths, and says he is afraid of neither Lesnar or Strowman. He then demands that Angle put him in the Universal title match against Lesnar at SummerSlam. Suddenly, Roman Reigns shows up. He says Joe and Strowman haven't done anything in WWE, while he's been a champion multiple times, won the Royal Rumble and took part in five WrestleManias, the last of which had him retiring The Undertaker. He wants to know what they've done, and is about to get physical when Angle stops them and makes a Fatal 4-Way Match for the Universal Championship between Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar. Angle leaves, and an angry Joe says that Lesnar should be his and his alone. Angle says this conversation is over, and as he leaves, Strowman says it doesn't matter what match it is as long as he is piling up bodies. Roman then tells Strowman to shut up and punches him, and this starts a brawl between all three men. Angle has to send security out to stop the brawl, but Strowman lays them all out. It takes the rest of the locker room to hold back all three men, after Roman hits Strowman with a Spear as he is in a Coaquina Clutch from Samoa Joe. The brawl ends with everyone out of the ring and Strowman hitting Roman with a power slam.

Elias Samson plays guitar and sings for the crowd, and dedicates the song to Finn Balor, whom he proceeds to mock. Not surprisingly, Finn Balor interrupts him again.

Elias Samson beats Finn Balor in a no-disqualification match after Bray Wyatt suddenly shows up as Finn Balor readies the Coup De Grace and hits Sister Abigail as soon as he shows up. Samson is down when he drapes his arm over Finn Balor and gets the pinfall. After the match, Bray Wyatt spider walks over to Finn Balor and admires his handiwork.

Renee Young interviews General Manager Kurt Angle, who says that Jason Jordan does not want to wait to prove himself and has a match tonight against Curt Hawkins. Suddenly, Emma shows up and asks when the focus will be on her and what she has to do to get it before considering dating ason Jordan. Kurt Angle responds by putting Emma in a match against Nia Jax.

Enzo Amore meets with Big Show backstage. Enzo knows that he has to take the match to Big Cass.

Before the next match, Enzo says the things that fuel him also fuel Big Cass. What really cranks his engine up is the fans, and he says Cass has lost the key to success and is running on E. He says success is a marathon, not a sprint, and he cannot wait to run into him.

Big Cass beats Enzo Amore. After the match, Cass continues to beat up Enzo until Big Show shows up, and Cass threatens to snap Enzo's neck if he gets closer. Cass shoves Enzo into Big Show before hitting him with the big boot and beating him down.

Renee Young interviews Alexa Bliss. Alexa says a friendship will be destroyed when Sasha Banks and Bayley go at it for #1 contendership for the Raw Women's Title, as neither woman wants to watch SummerSlam from the sidelines due to Sasha's ego and Bayley being the crybaby she views her as. Tonight, she is the real winner.

Nia Jax beats Emma.

Charly Caruso interviews Akira Tozawa. After a video package of what happened last week, Tozawa says that we know now why he wants a rematch with Ariya Daivari. Suddenly, Titus O'Neil shows up and says that he has cancelled the match for the good of his shoulder, but Tozawa says he is heading to the ring right now, and Titus follows right behind him. When they get in the ring, Tozawa pushes Titus back.

After the break, Akira Tozawa calls out Ariya Daivari, but gets Neville instead. Neville mocks Tozawa and his injury, and when Tozawa wants to go at it, he says he cannot stand toe-to-toe with him and that he has fallen victim to Titus O'Neil's false promises. As he calls Tozawa "pathetic" and "a joke," Tozawa headbutts him and hits him with the top rope senton only to hurt his shoulder. Tozawa is then attacked by Ariya Daivari, who then proceeds to clothesline Neville.

Sasha Banks and Bayley are backstage. Sasha says she cannot stand "that little troll" Alexa Bliss and cannot wait to take the Raw Women's Championship off of her, but Bayley says she should focus on tonight's match, as they are facing each other and both of them want to be Raw Womens' champ. Bayley says "May the best woman win." Sasha says "You're right...because the best woman will win."

Courtesy of Sonic Drive-In's return of the Premium Pretzel Dog, we look back at the return of Shane McMahon in February 2016.

Alexa Bliss guests on commentary for the next match.

Bayley beats Sasha Banks after rolling out of a pinfall to reverse it into one of her own to go on to face Alexa Bliss for the WWE Raw Women's Championship at SummerSlam. After the match, Alexa Bliss gets in the ring and raises the Raw Women's Championship up as she and Bayley stare down.

Renee Young interviews Curt Hawkins. Hawkins says he will ruin Jason Jordan's debut tonight, and everyone will be talking about him the next morning.

Charly Caruso interviews The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson)They talk about how they have not only dominated NXT and made their way to Raw to become the future tag team champs, and how they sent The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) packing to SmackDown Live and beat The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) last week. Suddenly, Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) show up, and says they have done both of these things - and were bald - before they did. Instead of "top guys," all they see are "top nerds."

The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) beat Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) after The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) distract The Revival first, followed by Gallows & Anderson, who fall victim to the Shatter machine. After the match, The Hardys brawl with The Revival in the ring and come out on top. Sheamus and Cesaro are seen scouting the competition from the locker room.

The Miztourage (The Miz, Maryse, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) talk in the locker room. The Miz says he sees a family in them, then he and Maryse make fun of the movie industry's habit of rebooting everything. He calls Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose "a Shield reboot" and "a box office bomb waiting to happen" as he says that The Miztourage will come out victorious tonight.

Next week: Miz TV with special guest Jason Jordan! Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman vs. Samoa Joe in a Triple Threat Match!
