Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 8, 2018

Roman Reigns shows up to start tonight's show. After all the talk, attacks and hype, he says that Samoa Joe would have been ready for him last week, but he wasn't, and he got silenced as a result. He says he is still Intercontinental Champion not because he was better, but because he was fighting for a purpose: his brother, Dean Ambrose. He then says if anybody messes with one member of The Shield (Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Reigns), they mess with all of them. After Roman says that that was last week and this is this week, Jason Jordan shows up. Jordan says that when he watched Roman's match with Joe, he got goosebumps and felt like he was part of something meaningful. He tells Roman that he proved that this is his yard, then thanks him. He then proposes a fist bump, then Seth Rollins shows up. Rollins says he appreciates what Jordan is trying to do, but he still has a lot to learn. Last week, he taught him about teamwork, which went pretty well, but this week, he has to work on his timing, as he tells Jordan that he is walking on Roman's moment. Jordan says they all have legitimate issues with Samoa Joe and Roman took care of them like he and Seth took care of Sheamus and Cesaro, and now they are all champions. Jordan then starts saying they can take on multiple guys and that they are the best three-man group in WWE. Suddenly, Finn Balor and Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) show up. Balor says Jordan may be excited to be part of something is, but questions if Jordan really is part of the best three-man group in WWE. Balor then tells him he has ran with Gallows & Anderson long before Jordan knew his father. Anderson says he and Gallows have ran with Balor for a long time, and Gallows says that when they came to WWE, they had to stand alone. By doing that, they became champions in their own right. They went and did their own thing, but they knew one day they would have to join forces and take WWE over. That day was last week, and they are excited, as 2018 is the year of Balor Club. Jordan is not impressed, saying he glad to be part of the champions' club. Anderson asks if that is "some cute new version of The Shield," and Balor says he doesn't see Ambrose anywhere. Balor, Gallows and Anderson proceed to call Jordan a nerd. Jordan slaps Gallows in the face, and Rollins and Reigns have to hold Jordan back. Suddenly, General Manager Kurt Angle shows up, and says he has just found his main event for tonight. He doesn't know who would win between the two teams, but he would love to find out, and makes a six-man tag match between the two teams official.

Sasha Banks and Bayley beat Absolution (Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville) with a Banks Statement to Mandy Rose. Before the match, it is announced that Mickie James is entering the Women's Royal Rumble.

We look back on Mankind's hospital visit to Vince McMahon on October 25, 1998...as well as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's attack on Vince afterwards.

In the locker room, Cedric Alexander has a meeting with Goldust, who does his best impression of Rocky Balboa's boxing coach Mickey Goldmill. Cedric says he is close to becoming a champion, but Goldust says there is one thing standing in his way: himself. He tells Cedric that he is control, not them. Cedric says he'll be okay, but Goldust says Enzo Amore won't be.

It is reported that Goldust will be teaming with Alicia Fox for WWE Mixed Match Challenge on Facebook Watch one week from tomorrow.

Matt Hardy - now with new entrance music to reflect being "woken" - beats Curt Hawkins. After the match, Bray Wyatt is in the ring behind Matt Hardy. Hardy turns around, and both men have a staredown where they laugh at each other.

Elias is in the ring. He plays guitar, then asks the fans to admit it was good before asking who wants to walk with him. Elias says he has been everywhere, and that he has met a million people and heard a million people, and that only one truth remains: WWE stands for "Walk With Elias." He says that today is a very special day, and that there is no better place to celebrate the occasion than in Memphis, Tennessee. He then plays a song written for tonight. Elias proceeds to sing about Elvis Presley and Graceland, then proceeds to ask why he should even care about any of it. He then says there is a star on the way of taking over the entertainment biz...then says it is The Miz. The Miz shows up with The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel), who all enter the ring. Miz asks the fans if they miss him, which results in an ovation from the crowd. It is now time for Miz TV, and The Miz says that The Marine 6 filming has wrapped and he is back. The Miz may have been go for a while, but he has not been forgotten as Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel have kept his name alive as he is the glue that keeps Raw together and must-see. He then makes Bo and Axel tonight's guests as he says they have turned themselves around in 2018. Bo and Curtis show their appreciation for The Miz for helping them make 2017 their best year yet, then start a "Thank You Miz!" chant before Bo gives Miz a framed photo of himself. Curtis then gives Miz the sportscoat off his back. Bo gives Miz his watch, and Curtis tries to give Miz his shoes. Bo and Curtis argue until Miz tells them to shut up and sit down. Miz goes on to say 2017 was a great year for him, but he has a lot more planned. He held the Intercontinental title for 200 days while elevating Bo, Curtis and Raw, but he has not forgotten getting beaten up by The Shield two months ago. Miz calls this "an indignity not befitting someone who has done as much for WWE as he have." He says that he has merely let Roman Reigns borrow the Intercontinental title so it could be represented week after week and become bigger than him. In 2018, he will witness the birth of his daughter and he will become the greatest WWE Intercontinental Champion of all time, with children of this generation picturing only him carrying the title. He hopes Roman Reigns has enjoyed the spotlight, for it is coming to an end and he is taking the Intercontinental Championship back.

In the locker room, Finn Balor tells Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) are focused on their six-man tag team match. The situation may be different, but the tactics are the same: eyes open, feet moving. Tonight, they have a real opportunity to show everyone that 2018 is the year of Balor Club.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore says the doctors could not let him compete last week after he was in the hospital. He then mentions Goldust in last week's cruiserweight division match, and says Cedric is teaming him Goldust because it's the closest he'll get to gold in 2018. Enzo plans to end this year like he ended last year: with gold around his waist.

Cedric Alexander beats Enzo Amore by count-out. Enzo Amore retains the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Nia Jax is seen watching the match from backstage.

In the trainer's room, Enzo Amore is met by Nia Jax.

General Manager Kurt Angle is talking to someone who hasn't been in the ring in years who may be in the Women's Royal Rumble. He is then met by Sheamus and Cesaro, who are demanding their tag team title rematch. Sheamus accuses Angle of putting Jason Jordan in a six-man tag team match and accuses him of favoritism. Angle tells Sheamus and Cesaro they will get their rematch at Royal Rumble. As for tonight, they want competition. Angle tells them to head to the ring so he can find them some competition. He is then met by The Miz, who says that he will be starring in his own unscripted series along with Maryse. He then demands a rematch for the Intercontinental title on Raw's 25th Anniversary. Angle tells Miz he will have his rematch for the title in two weeks.

It is reported that The Miz's partner in WWE Mixed Match Challenge is none other than Asuka.

In the locker room, Alexa Bliss meets up with Asuka. She tells Asuka to enjoy her luck while it last, for it will run out when she faces Nia Jax.

Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews get a surprise win on Sheamus and Cesaro when Apollo Crews distracts Sheamus with a moonsault on Cesaro, allowing Titus to win the match with a schoolboy pin.

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up. Heyman says there is a credo in the business called "old school," which he and Lesnar have a lot of respect for, but they never let it blind them to the fact that wrestling is always a progressive industry that is ever-changing in terms of presentation. He asks the crowd to forgive him for being a hypocrite, as he has gotten away from the old school that is not for the betterment of the product and detracting towards the Universal Championship reign on Brock Lesnar. They are always looking for that one person who can step up and beat Brock Lesnar to become the new Universal Champion, but they have gotten away from that, as the Universal title is now marketed as "How can Brock Lesnar survive this predicament?" Heyman doesn't like it, and he admits Lesnar does not like the concept. Last week, Lesnar took Kane's best shot and laughed in his face, just like he will at Royal Rumble when he faces both Kane and Braun Strowman with the title on the line. This time, however, Brock Lesnar will walk into Royal Rumble with only one cliffhanger in mind: "Will he pin Kane, Braun or both?" Heyman then says that Brock Lesnar is the most dominant champion in WWE, and says he has yet to see anyone who can outmatch Lesnar and put him down. As Lesnar and Heyman leave, Lesnar is attacked from behind by Kane, and both men brawl next to the stage. The brawl spills to the backstage area, and Braun Strowman quickly joins in, tossing Lesnar around and attacking Kane with a large storage case. Braun finds a grappling hook, then tosses it into a nearby set structure and pulls it down with the grappling hook in an attempt to crush both Kane and Lesnar as everyone nearby begs him not to do it. (One of the members of security is played by independent wrestler Precious.)

We see footage from during the break where doctors help Brock Lesnar onto a stretcher and into an ambulance while Kane tries to get back up under his own power.

Samoa Joe beats Rhyno with the Coaquina Clutch. Charly Caruso interviews Samoa Joe after the match. He says Roman Reigns' win last week was a Pyrrhic victory, and he has beaten years off his career every time they have squared off, and the cracks in the foundation are coming. When it all comes tumbling down, he will be there to finish the job. He is looking to greater things, and he is going to enter the Men's Royal Rumble. As for future challengers, when it comes to his career, John Cena will be a name he will never forget, and he will be the first man he eliminates in the Rumble.

Backstage, Nia Jax is met by Alexa Bliss, who asks about Enzo Amore. Alexa tells Nia Jax she cares, but she is worried that Enzo is holding her back. Nia Jax says Enzo has inspired her to become a champion, and she is entering the Women's Royal Rumble. Alexa tells Nia that if she can take out Asuka before the Women's Rumble Match, they can go on to WrestleMania. Alexa also tells Nia that Asuka has been saying things about, and whispers something into Nia's ear. Nia is shocked, then asks Alexa if she can speak Japanese, because Asuka can't speak English.

The Rawls Family is the winner of the Little Caesars Seat Upgrade this week.

Nia Jax assaults Asuka from behind before Asuka's match can even happen.

You can vote for Bayley's partner in WWE Mixed Match Challenge on the Mixed Match Challenge Facebook page. The winner will be announced at noon Eastern.

Next week: Asuka vs. Nia Jax!

Finn Balor and Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) beat Jason Jordan and The Shield (Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) after Jason Jordan gets in the ring illegally, distracting the referee and keeping him from seeing Rollins tag Reigns in. This leads to an argument between Jordan and Reigns. Gallows & Anderson hit Rollins with Magic Killer, and while Jordan checks on Rollins, Balor hits Rollins with the drop kick before connecting with Coup De Grace for the win. After the match, The Miztourage (The Miz, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) attack Reigns, Rollins and Jordan, and The Miz hits Reigns with the Skull Crushing Finale. The Miztourage teases leaving the ring, then they go back into the ring so they can hit Roman Reigns with The Shield's signature three-man powerbomb.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 1, 2018

It is announced that Roman Reigns will defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Samoa Joe tonight, and if Roman Reigns gets himself disqualified again, he will lose the title.

Alexa Bliss talks to General Manager Kurt Angle about her match with Asuka, but Angle wants to start tonight with a WrestleMania-worthy match. Alexa Bliss does not want the match, but Angle tells her to settle her problems with Asuka in the ring. Angle then tells her to be lucky the match is not for the Raw Women's title...yet.

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up to start tonight's show. Angle says 2017 was a great year, especially as Raw General Manager, and promises 2018 will be even greater. Raw will celebrate its 25th anniversary in three weeks, and the following Sunday is Royal Rumble. John Cena will officially be in the Men's Royal Rumble Match. He mentions that there will be a Women's Royal Rumble Match, and the Women's match will have the same rules as the men's match, right down to having 30 participants and the winner going for their brand's women's title. Suddenly, Sheamus and Cesaro show up. Sheamus tells Angle to forget about Royal Rumble and focus on what happened to them in last week's main event, as he says he and Cesaro were robbed of the Raw tag team titles. He says Angle gave a one-off team a tag team title, while Cesaro accuses Angle of favoritism by "gifting" Jason Jordan a title shot and Seth Rollins as a tag team partner. He also says what Angle did after the match was too much. After seeing the finish of last week's tag team title match, Sheamus says the finish makes his sick, and he also accuses Angle of favoritism. Cesaro demands they have their tag team title rematch tonight. Angle says they will get it when he says so. Suddenly, Jason Jordan shows up. Jordan says if he did not deserve a shot at the tag team titles, then what is he doing with one-half of them? He says Angle does not understand the first thing about favoritism, and says he earned a title shot based on his track record. He says he and Rollins earned the titles, and if Cesaro keeps talking, he'll be taking a trip to the dentist. Angle stops the argument before it gets worse, saying if they want to settle their differences, they'll do it right now. Suddenly, Seth Rollins shows up. Rollins says they may be tag team champs and partners, but Jordan still has a lot to learn. He tells Jordan that Sheamus and Cesaro wanted him outnumbered, and that does them no favors as a team. He tells Jordan to stop being self-absorbed and focus on the team, as what affects Jordan also affects him. Seth says he is out here because Jordan had to defend his father. He will be in his corner, but he is only really here to watch him lose. Suddenly, Cesaro shoves Jordan as soon as he turns his back. Jordan vs. Cesaro is next.

Jason Jordan beats Cesaro after Seth Rollins charges at Sheamus at ringside for hitting Jordan with a cheap shot. Jordan raises Seth's hand after the match.

Renee Young interviews Roman Reigns. He says Samoa Joe got what he deserved for getting involved in things and attacking Dean Ambrose. He says Joe is a punk who does not deserve the Intercontinental Championship, and says tonight will be ugly. He plans to stay within the rules...he hopes.

Sasha Banks says she will win the Women's Royal Rumble Match and win the Raw Women's title.

Despite the distraction from Dana Brooke, Bray Wyatt beats Apollo Crews. Matt Hardy then shows up on the TitanTron. He says he has transformed the Fireflies into Woken Warriors, and he will convert his darkness into light. He may be the Eater or Worlds, but he will not escape his woken wisdom for he is everywhere. He will then delete Bray Wyatt when Sister Abigail's powers are no more. Hardy then splits into multiple images of himself before returning back to one, then he disappears.

Alexa Bliss finds Nia Jax backstage, but Nia Jax is worried about Enzo Amore. Alexa tells her she needs her right now, but Enzo Amore texts again. Alexa tells Nia Jax it's either her or Enzo. Nia says her chicken soup is getting cold, and she leaves. Alexa Bliss is irritated.

Asuka beats Alexa Bliss with the Cross Arm Breaker.

We see a video package of the events culminating into the Intercontinental title match between Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns.

Renee Young interviews Samoa Joe. Joe says he will beat Roman Reigns just like he has all the other times they have gotten into the ring, as he owns, has beaten and has exposed Roman, and says because of him, The Shield will never be champions together. He brings up injuring Dean Ambrose by calling him a "stay at home husband," much to the chagrin of Renee, and says Roman Reigns is the kind of person to get himself disqualified. When he takes the Intercontinental title, it may be Roman's yard, but Roman lives in his world.

Bayley plans to start 2018 with a bang by winning the Women's Royal Rumble Match and hugging her way to WrestleMania.

Braun Strowman beats Rhyno. During the match, Heath Slater gets on the apron, and Braun grabs a microphone. He gives him two options: stand on the floor and shut up, or get in the ring and "get these hands like your partner." Slater decides to exercise the second option. Both men go after Braun at the same time, but Braun easily overpowers them. After the match, Slater tries to make the save for Rhyno, but Slater falls victim to a running powerslam. Rhyno then falls victim to a second running powerslam, as does Slater. Rhyno then tries to get up, and he and Slater both get a third powerslam.

Roman Reigns is in the locker room when Seth Rollins meets up with him. Rollins has heard what Samoa Joe said, and wants to make sure he is keeping his cool. Roman says he is, and says Joe is a joke. Roman says there are a lot of things in world you can do, but one of them is not messing with Dean Ambrose, who he hopes will be watching tonight. Jason Jordan shows up and says if Sheamus and Cesaro show up, he and Seth will have his back. Jordan then jokingly says "believe that," then leaves.

We look back on D-Generation X's (Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) invasion of WCW Monday Nitro on April 27, 1998.

Backstage, Braun Strowman runs into Kane. Kane tells Braun that he just wants to talk about Brock Lesnar, whom Braun - but not he - has faced. He proposes an alliance to beat The Beast. Braun doesn't care about him or his plan, as he is the only alpha monster here. When he beats Braun, he will do it on his own and on his own terms.

General Manager Kurt Angle is on the phone when Finn Balor shows up. Finn says that if he has to beat 29 other men to get the Universal title back, then he will enter the Men's Royal Rumble match and do just that. As for tonight's match, Finn Balor has some partners against Elias and The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) in the form of Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson). He has stood both with and against them in the past, and it is better to have them on his side. He then asks that if it were not them, who else would be his tag team partners aside from a couple of nerds?

Roman Reigns retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Samoa Joe after Joe nearly gets Roman disqualified after pushing Roman into referee John Cone, who was the referee the last time Roman and Joe squared off in the ring. Afterwards, Joe goes for a tackle into the corner, and Roman is forced to push John Cone out of the way to keep him from getting hurt. (Had Roman Reigns gotten disqualified in this match, the Intercontinental Championship would have changed hands.)

Backstage, General Manager Kurt Angle has been watching the match backstage. Suddenly, Paul Heyman shows up. Heyman says he can help Angle, as there is a conspiracy going on under his watch. If Kane and Braun gang up on Brock Lesnar, Lesnar will be proactive, not reactive. Heyman goes on to say that 2018 will be "The Year of the Beast."

Paige says Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville) ended 2017 by putting the Raw Women's Division on notice. They will start 2018 with a warning, as they will be winning the Women's Royal Rumble.

Tomorrow night on 205 Live: Hideo Itami vs. "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher!

Before the next match, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari send a message from Enzo Amore. We learn that Enzo has the flu, and he will not be defending the WWE Cruiserweight Championship tonight. Enzo says that he would have wiped the floor with Cedric Alexander, and that he would have told him exactly what he thought of him. Cedric Alexander then shows up. Cedric says he showed up expecting a title match and competition, but since Enzo is sick, he wants to know who will face him between Gulak and Daivari. Gulak and Daivari talk between each other, and they challenge Cedric to a tag team match where Cedric picks his tag team partner. Daivari says Cedric doesn't have too many friends, and wishes Cedric luck on someone coming out. Suddenly, Goldust shows up. Goldust tells Gulak and Daivari that he has friends in low places, but none are lower than them. He then offers Cedric assistance, and Cedric obliges.

Cedric Alexander and Goldust beat The 'Zo Train (Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari).

Before the next match, Elias is in the center of the ring. He plays guitar, then says that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias," which means WWE Monday Night Raw is his show and the WWE Universe is his universe. He then asks who wants to walk with him. After he goes on to win the Men's Royal Rumble, he will main event WrestleMania and give the performance of a lifetime. As far as tonight goes, he spent the new year with some talented artists, and tonight he teams with two talented musicians in The Miztourage. Bo and Axel show up with a cowbell and bells, respectively. Elias says that tonight, they will help him ring in the new year. They then dedicate the next song to The Miz, who will return to Raw next week. Bo and Axel then sing "Auld Lang Syne" out of tune as Elias plays guitar. Elias then says he will take it from here, then proceeds to verbally trash Miami, Florida. Elias' song is then interrupted by Gallows & Anderson.

Finn Balor and Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) beat Elias and The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel).

The Miz returns to Raw next week!

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up. Heyman says WWE's new year's resolution is to continue to stack the deck against his client, Brock Lesnar. He says that this is the only reason that Lesnar has to defend the WWE Universal Championship against multiple opponents, as back then, Lesnar only defended in one-on-one matches. Heyman mentions that Brock Lesnar does not even need to be pinned at Royal Rumble for Braun Strowman or Kane to win the title, and says nobody will beat Brock Lesnar as he will successfully defend at Royal Rumble. Heyman then goes on to proclaim that regardless of how you stack the deck against Lesnar, Lesnar will defeat Braun Strowman, Kane and even all 30 participants in the Men's Royal Rumble Match, either collectively or individually. He then says that Lesnar fears no challenge, challenger, or challengers, and that he does not believe in monsters or that Kane is the devil's favorite, as he has had a match with "the man downstairs" and his favorite is really Lesnar. Before Heyman and Lesnar can leave, however, Kane shows up. Lesnar tries to go toe-to-toe with Kane, but he is immediately choke slammed in the middle of the ring. Kane leaves, then Brock Lesnar sits up Undertaker style. Lesnar clotheslines Kane out of the ring, then the locker room shows up to separate both men.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!

Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 25, 2017

John Cena returns to Raw to start tonight's show. It is announced that the entire first hour of Raw is commercial-free. (This announcement only applies to USA Network in America; commercials are awkwardly placed during the second and third matches of the night, especially in the UK.) John Cena gives a fan in orange Cena gear the hat and shirt off his back. He also thanks the Chicago, Illinois crowd for the "Merry Christmas" chant. Cena says WWE is his home, and the fans his family. He gives cheers for the good times, the bad times, and for a day like today when everybody in the crowd can be together. As he speaks, Elias shows up with his guitar. Elias tells Cena that WWE stands for "Walk with Elias," and asks who wants to walk with him. Cena says he will walk with him. Elias says he is tired of the constant interruptions, and says he might as well interrupt him as the crowd chants "CM Punk." Elias then says he is sure CM Punk will not interrupt him, either. Cena asks the crowd to let Elias have some fun for once. Elias says he will perform tonight as the crowd continues to chant "CM Punk," regardless of how often they chant "CM Punk." Cena tries to give Elias advice, but Elias won't let him. Cena then simply lays a stool in the ring, and Elias sits down on it as the lights are reduced to a single spotlight. The crowd chants "CM Punk" again, and Elias blames it on Cena. Elias begins to mock Chicago, and Cena immediately stops him. He says he was willing to give him a chance and wanted to warn him not to do this, and says Chicago isn't a bad place to spend the holidays. He then calls Elias out for playing okay, but calling the crowd jerks whenever he does. He then tells the crowd is not jerks; Elias is. Elias says he never thought of it that way, and says Cena is right and maybe he is a jerk. He says he would love to do that song again if the Chicago crowd is willing to give him a second chance. Cena warns him that Chicago is a tough city, but it is Christmas, and gives him the second chance. Elias plays the song again, much to the happiness of Cena. Cena picks up the singing where Elias left off, and Elias punches him in the face when he turns around. Elias then says he does not play for Cena, and that both Christmas and Chicago are overrated. As John Cena gets up, Elias takes the boots to him, then says Santa didn't visit him this morning and he is giving himself the gift of challenging Cena right now. He then asks for a referee. Referee John Cone shows up, and the match is official and it starts right now.

John Cena beats Elias.

Backstage, General Manager Kurt Angle is decorating a Christmas tree when Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins show up. Rollins wants Samoa Joe, but so does Jordan. Angle tells them that when they get close to Joe, Sheamus and Cesaro get in the way. Rollins doesn't like the idea, and Jordan calls this "a step back" as he wants to be a singles star. Angle tells them they had better find a way to work together, as they will be facing Sheamus and Cesaro for the Raw Tag Team Championships. Roman Reigns then shows up. Angle tells Roman that Joe is all his, and that the Intercontinental title is on the line.

Charly Caruso interviews The Brian Kendrick and "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher. Kendrick says he and Gallagher want to find out firsthand if Hideo Itami belongs in the Cruiserweight Division.

Hideo Itami beats The Brian Kendrick.

Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mickie James meet Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel backstage as they spread some "Mizmas cheer" through "Mizmas carols." Sasha, Bayley and Mickie awkwardly leave.

Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville) beat Bayley, Sasha Banks and Mickie James.

It is announced that Dean Ambrose has suffered an army injury and that Ambrose may be out of action for up to nine months.

Renee Young interviews Samoa Joe. Joe has no remorse for what he did to Dean Ambrose last week, and says Dean can now spend time with his loved ones during the holidays. His actions have also given him an Intercontinental title shot. He says that Roman Reigns will not waltz into the ring thinking he will retain the Intercontinental Championship, as he will put Roman to sleep and take the title away from him.

The first hour of SmackDown Live will also be commercial-free.

We see a video package of the creation of the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Universal Championship between Kane, Braun Strowman, and Brock Lesnar from last week.

Kane beats Heath Slater in a match that is Rhyno's way of toughening Slater up. After the match, Rhyno checks on Slater, and nearly gets choke slammed. Rhyno fights back, however, but when he goes for the Gore, he gets choke slammed nonetheless.

Before the next match, Curt Hawkins says he would usually tell the fans to face the fact, but he needs to tell himself that as this year has not been kind to his win-loss record. But 2017 is not over yet, and he feels a Christmas miracle tonight. He issues an open challenge, hoping his 146-match losing streak will come to an end. That challenge is answered by Finn Balor.

Finn Balor beats Curt Hawkins, bringing Curt Hawkins' losing streak to 147 matches.

Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel deliver "Mizmas cheer" to Goldust with a Mizmas carol, and give him a copy of Santa's Little Helper. When Titus Worldwide (Titus O'Neil, Apollo Crews, Dana Brooke) shows up, Goldust hands the movie to Titus, then scares the crap out of him.

Bray Wyatt is on the TitanTron. He says Sister Abigail always hated Christmas and how it gave everyone something to believe in, and how it currently reminds her of Matt Hardy, who he says is using the people for his personal gain. He tells the "woken warriors" to look around and realize they are surrounded by fireflies and by Sister Abigail. He then announces that he is here. When Bray Wyatt gets in the ring and the lights come back on, Bray is suddenly attacked by Matt Hardy, and quickly gets out of there. Matt Hardy then laughs maniacally in the center of the ring.

Sheamus and Cesaro are backstage, unhappy about the fact that they have to defend the Raw tag titles tonight. Sheamus gives Cesaro, appreciating him for being his tag team partner, even if General Manager Kurt Angle does not appreciate what they have done for him all year. A card is attached. As for the package itself, a Dean Ambrose action figure with a missing arm is inside. Cesaro returns the favor by giving Sheamus a gift. Inside Sheamus' present is a Seth Rollins figure. Sheamus plans to break it like he will the real Rollins. Cesaro says that is not all, and inside is also a Jason Jordan figurine. Sheamus doesn't want it, but Cesaro says neither Seth or Angle want him, either.
br /> The ring is set up for a Miracle on 34th Street Fight featuring wrestlers from the Cruiserweight Division, coming up next.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore - dressed as Santa Claus - says he is here from the North Pole with his elves Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari to spread some Christmas cheer. He then says Cedric Alexander got coal instead of the Cruiserweight title this morning. Before the next match, Enzo Amore - dressed as Santa Claus - says he is here from the North Pole with his elves Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari to spread some Christmas cheer. He then says Cedric Alexander got coal instead of the Cruiserweight title this morning. It is then announced that Cedric Alexander will face Enzo Amore for the Cruiserweight Championship next week on Raw.

Cedric Alexander, Akira Tozawa and Musrafa Ali beat The 'Zo Train (Enzo Amore, Drew Gulak, Ariya Daivari) in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight.

Backstage, Enzo Amore runs into Nia Jax. They wish each other a merry Christmas, then they notice they are under mistletoe. They zoom in for a kiss, then Alexa Bliss rushes in and says she needs to talk to Nia Jax about the Women's Royal Rumble Match. Nia hesitantly walks away. Enzo is annoyed.

Renee Young interviews Roman Reigns. He could care less about what Samoa Joe has to say, as he is Intercontinental Champion and he is walking away with the title. Tonight is about Dean Ambrose, and he will send a message to Joe: if he hurts one of his brothers, they will hurt him.

Samoa Joe beats Roman Reigns by disqualification after Roman Reigns shoves referee John Cone away as he takes the boots to Samoa Joe in the corner. After the match, Roman hits Joe with a Superman Punch, then fights him at ringside. Referees rush out as Roman is about to hit Joe with the steel steps, but Roman does it anyway. Roman then grabs a steel chair and aims for Joe's arm, but Joe runs away just in time.

Backstage, Seth Rollins is seen watching from backstage when Jason Jordan. He admits they have differences, but he does not care about them. He also tells Jason Jordan that everyone is top competition in the WWE. Jordan has no problems with tagging with Rollins, but when he says he makes a pretty good replacement for Dean Ambrose, Seth tells him he will never be Dean Ambrose. Jordan says that's okay, as he will be better.

Before the next match, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel announce that they have a Secret Santa match, and they will not know who their opponents are until they show up. Bo asks the crowd to join them in a Mizmas carol. The opponent ends up being Braun Strowman.

Braun Strowman beats The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) in a Secret Santa Match. After the match, Curtis Axel falls victim to a running powerslam just like Bo Dallas did. Bo and Axel then both eat another running powerslam each.

We look back to The 1-2-3 Kid's surprise win against Razor Ramon from May 17, 1993.

She then tells all the women in the locker room as well as the fans "You're welcome," as everything leading up to the match is because of her, as she is the gift that keeps on giving and she will be watching to see who will win. Suddenly, Asuka shows up. Asuka tells Alexa Bliss she is entering the Women's Royal Rumble Match, and that she will win because nobody is ready for her. Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 18, 2017

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up to start tonight's show. Angle talks about last week's main event, and says it did not have a decisive winner. Brock Lesnar is here tonight, and by the end of the night, Angle will determine who he will face. Before he can say much more, Braun Strowman shows up. Strowman tells Angle he earned the opportunity to face Brock Lesnar, as he was the only one standing. Kane shows up, and says he has caused more destruction than anyone else in WWE for over 20 years. He says there is no way anyone is stepping in front of him, and while Lesnar's list of victims is impressive, it does not include him. He says he will get his chance at Royal Rumble unless Strowman is man enough to stop him. Angle has to stand between them, but all of a sudden, Paul Heyman shows up. Heyman states this discussion will not happen without Brock Lesnar present, and he introduces his client, who shows up. Kurt Angle wastes no time making the match a Triple Threat Match before getting out of the ring. Kane, Strowman and Lesnar then go at it all at once. Lesnar sends Strowman out of the ring, then manages to hit Kane with an F5. Lesnar sends Strowman out of the ring, then manages to hit Kane with an F5. Lesnar makes his way back to the stage, and Kane gets up from the F5. Heyman and Lesnar do not know what to make of this.

Before the next match, Jason Jordan says he understands that he is not the guy Seth Rollins wants to see. He knows he wants Samoa Joe, but he wants him, too, and has wanted a match with him for the last two weeks. He is now done asking, and while he has nothing but respect for Seth, if he has a bone to pick with Samoa Joe, he will have to pick the bones when he is done. Seth says he respects Jordan and what he is trying to do, but before he can say much else, Samoa Joe shows up. Joe says they are making him feel like the belle of the ball and that all the boys want to dance with him. He has a solution to both of them wanting to get their hands on him: both men have a match, and the winner gets put to sleep by him. Rollins says the match is made, and he tells Joe to come on down here so he can beat him up while Jordan "looks for his daddy's approval somewhere else." Jordan responds by shoving him to the mat. This starts the match Joe has proposed. Samoa Joe sits at ringside as the match is made official.

Seth Rollins beats Jason Jordan. During the match, Samoa Joe gets out of his chair when he sees Seth Rollins looking at him, and Rollins responds by tossing Jason Jordan's head into his gut before superkicking Joe in the face. After the match, Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe brawl, and Joe has his hands up to protect himself. When the ref pushes Seth away from Joe, Joe makes his move and punches him until referees rush in to restore order. As Joe leaves, he hits Jason Jordan with a cheap shot.

Seth Rollins tells General Manager Kurt Angle he wants Samoa Joe tonight, as does Dean Ambrose. Jason Jordan shows up wanting a piece of Joe. Kurt puts them in a six-man tag match against Sheamus, Cesaro and Joe for later tonight.

Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron. He wants to know what draws people to Matt Hardy, whether it be the words he says, his childish laugh, or the faces he makes. He says it is all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and that is where he comes in. He wants to make sure the right people get hurt, and those people are Matt Hardy and his fans. If he wants to continue with their chess match, he will play, but he does not play well at all. He claims to be able to see through Matt, and says The Great War must end.

Renee Young interviews Cedric Alexander. Cedric says he wants to be Cruiserweight Champion so badly he can taste it. He wants to beat Enzo and represent 205 Live, but he can't do all that in one night. He has a second chance, and he will take advantage of it. The only way he will be overlooking Drew Gulak is when he stands over him after he beats him, looking forward to his match with Enzo.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore hypes up the match between Drew Gulak and Cedric Alexander, saying it will be better than the new Star Wars movie before handing his microphone to Gulak. Gulak considers himself a Jar Jar Binks, and says "Now that's a hero!" He says tonight is the biggest match of his life, and he owes it all to Enzo. As a token of appreciation, he introduces the "Enzo Amore Tribute Edition" of his Powerpoint presentation. Cedric Alexander's entrance puts a stop to that, however. Enzo Amore then guests on commentary for the next match.

Before it can go anywhere, a bloodied Drew Gulak says he has lost and let The 'Zo Train. Nia says she'll see Enzo later. Drew Gulak says he does not know what went wrong. Matt Hardy is seen playing chess. We find out his opponent is a goldfish in a bowl. The fish's name is Napoleon. Matt Hardy bids him adieu, as he has business to attend to. He talks about The Great War, and says one wrong move can lead to annihilation. He says he and Bray Wyatt have fought since the beginning of time, but his light will win out over Bray's darkness. Now that the new battlefield is set, he will stand side-by-side with his "woken warriors" in The Great War against Bray Wyatt. He says Sister Abigail must be stopped. He then starts a "delete" chant.

It is announced that Dean Ambrose has been transported to a local medical facility.

The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) come back after months on the injured list to beat Heath Slater and Rhyno.

Elias talks about how he has taken Roman Reigns to the limit and survived Braun Strowman. He says General Manager Kurt Angle is afraid of what he is, and says he will win the Royal Rumble. Elias then proceeds to play guitar and sing a song about NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. All of a sudden, he is interrupted by Sasha Banks. Elias thanks Sasha Banks for joining in, but before he can play and sing again, Mickie James shows up. Elias seems to enjoy the fact that all the women want to walk with him. Before he can play and sing, he is interrupted yet again, this time by Bayley. Elias walks away as Bayley tries to give him a hug.

Bayley, Alicia Fox and Mickie James beat Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville) when Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville mercilessly beat up Sasha Banks. After the match, Mandy and Sonya take the boots to Sasha, then Nia Jax suddenly shows up. Nia Jax starts fighting Absolution off single-handedly. She then puts Sonya and Mandy in a Samoan Drop at the same time. Paige then takes Nia's knee out from under her with a chop block, then Absolution takes the boots to her until the rest of the Raw Women's locker room runs into the ring and attacks them. This brawl then gets interrupted by Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie talks about how the Women's Revolution started three years ago, and how everyone in the ring turned the revolution into an evolution and brought women's wrestling back to the forefront. However, Stephanie says that is not enough, and now they will make history once again. She asks the crowd if they want to see that, and announces that at Royal Rumble, there will be an all-female Royal Rumble match for the first time ever.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 4, 2017

General Manger Kurt Angle shows up to start tonight's show. Kurt Angle welcomes everyone to tonight's show, and says there is a rematch of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus and Cesaro for the Raw tag team titles. There will also be an Intercontinental title as well. Before it can be announced, Jason Jordan shows up. Jason Jordan says he wants Roman Reigns. Angle tells him his knee is still taped up, but Jason Jordan insists he is still fine, and says since he showed up on Raw, he has held his own against the best. He then mentions Roman Reigns' open challenge to anyone who wants to step up and take the Intercontinental title. He knows he can take Roman Reigns; he just needs the chance. Suddenly, Roman Reigns shows up. Roman tells Kurt he is a fighting champion, but he is not fighting Jason Jordan; instead, he wants Samoa Joe. He then gives Jason Jordan advice: if he wants opportunity, he should step up and take it, not run to Kurt Angle. Jason Jordan thinks this is a joke, and says Roman is the poster boy for everything WWE management wants. Roman jokes that he's been on a lot of posters and chairs because he's main evented a lot of shows, but it is because he earned it after grinding for seven years straight. He then insists that if he wants an opportunity, he needs to step up and take it. Kurt Angle is about to stand between Roman and Jordan when Samoa Joe shows up. Joe says that as much as he would love to see Roman and Jordan puff up their chests and pretend to talk tough, his patience has worn thin. Samoa Joe then tells Roman that he accepts his challenge, and gives Roman five seconds to withdraw his challenge as he can't beat him. Jason Jordan tells Joe he does not have to stand in the ring and talk tough, and unlike Joe, he actually is tough as he does not have to come out and attack people from behind; instead, he issues challenges to people's face like he did to Roman and like he will to Joe. Roman tells Jason Jordan to stay in his lane, then tells Joe his five seconds are down. Jason Jordan then grabs Roman from behind and hits him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Kurt Angle forces Jordan out of the ring. Roman tells Joe that he can wait until later tonight, then tells Jason Jordan to get in the ring right now before telling Angle to make the match. Angle calls in a referee, and John Cone shows up. This match is next.

Roman Reigns retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Jason Jordan. After the match, Samoa Joe - who has been watching the whole match from the stage - says Jason Jordan wore him out, and now he is getting into the ring to put him to sleep. Joe runs in, hits several knees, then goes for the Coaquina Clutch. Suddenly, Jason Jordan grabs Joe and puts him in a belly-to-belly suplex, and dares him to come get some. Referee John Cone has to keep Joe away and get him to go to the back. Jordan then turns around and eats a Superman Punch from Roman.

General Manager Kurt Angle is met by a guitar-playing Elias backstage. Elias wants another shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship, but calls Jason Jordan getting the shot "favoritism." He says the fans want to walk with him, but all they will get is a song. He then warns "some will rise, some will fall," and says his favoritism towards his "bastard son" will end him. Angle agrees, and says he will find him an opponent during his concert.

We see a video package of what happened between Braun Strowman and Kane last week.

Enzo Amore is backstage with The 'Zo Train (Drew Gulak, Noam Dar, Ariya Daivari, "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese). He says Nese and Gulak have the opportunity tonight, and he tells them, Daivari and Noam Dar to seize it. Enzo is not happy about Rich Swann last week, and says The 'Zo Train is a direct reflection of him. He says he is a winner, not a loser, and they will not lose and lose again. He tells Nese and Gulak to get out there and get the job done. Suddenly, Enzo turns around and looks at a smiling Nia Jax. She simply asks "How you doin'?" then turns and walks away.

Drew Gulak beats Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander and "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese in a Fatal 4-Way Match to face Rich Swann next week to decide a #1 contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Charly Caruso interviews Drew Gulak after the match. Gulak is about to present a Powerpoint presentation to address if he is conflicted, but instead we see Elias backstage.

Before the next match, Elias says that he is beyond celebrity and that he is talent, fame, music, the air the fans breathe and everything. He then says General Manager Kurt Angle promised him some competition, but until then, he has a song to sing. He then sings, plays guitar and makes fun of the Los Angeles, California crowd. The music is then interrupted by Braun Strowman. As Braun Strowman gets in the ring, Elias runs out. When Braun turns his back, Elias tries to attack him from behind. This has no effect, and Braun grabs Elias before he can get back out.

Elias vs. Braun Strowman ends when Kane makes his presence known as Strowman is about to hit Elias with a running powerslam on the steel steps. Asuka shakes her head and refuses to turn her back as she leaves the ring. Alicia Fox is now in the ring alone. Paige then tells Alicia Fox to relax, and says she is not here to hurt her and that she is her friend. She says Alicia was the only one who liked her when she was still here a year ago. She then says from the bottom of her heart that she loves Alicia Fox, but she does not think Sonya and Mandy feel the same way. Sonya and Mandy then get in the ring and approach Alicia Fox. They then attack Alicia Fox, and Paige watches from the corner.

We get a sneak peak at Charlotte Flair's role on Psych: The Movie, premiering this Thursday on USA Network.

Finn Balor beats Bo Dallas.

Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron. He asks who Matt Hardy, then says he and the universe knows, but not Matt Hardy himself. Suddenly, Matt Hardy interrupts. The transmission switches between Bray, who says Matt Hardy does not know what is real, and Matt, who says he has traveled through space and time. Matt says he has been "woken" by Bray Wyatt. Bray says he feels alive again. He says his fire will not cleanse or save Matt, but instead it will burn him. Matt sentences Bray to "deletion." Both men are then seen laughing maniacally.

Sheamus and Cesaro retain the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships against The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins). The match initially ends with The Shield winning by disqualification when Sheamus refuses to listen to the referee. As Sheamus and Cesaro leave, General Manager shows up and tells them that they are not getting away that easily and they will prove they are as good as they say they are, then restarts the match under no-disqualification rules. Shortly after the match restarts, Samoa Joe shows up and attacks Ambrose and Rollins. Roman says last week was a big week for him, as The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) reunited, they beat The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) at Survivor Series, and he beat The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Roman thanks the crowd for their support, and announces he is the new Intercontinental Champion. We then see exclusive footage from last Monday where Miz runs into The Shield and gets powerbombed through the announce table after the show goes off the air. He then tells us we will not see The Miz for a while, but we will see a lot of the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He says Miz was right when he says the title is prestigious, and in his possession, it will stay that way. Roman proclaims this is his yard and the Intercontinental title is the title, and if anyone wants it, all they have to do is come on up and take it. Suddenly, The Miz's entrance music hits, but Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel show up instead. Bo Dallas verbally confronts Roman for disrespecting The Miz. Curtis Axel says the pain in his neck is nothing compared to the pain in heart from him holding the title. They are in no shape to fight him, but they know someone who can. That someone is Elias. Elias shows up singing and playing guitar. He asks the crowd to hold their applause as he will be performing later tonight. He says The Miz is a good guy, and when he saw Bo and Axel lost and abandoned, he knew he could show them the way and re-ignite their fire. He then proclaims that he will take the Intercontinental Championship away from Roman Reigns tonight. Roman says Elias wants to walk with "The Big Dog," then tells him he has his title match. He then tells Elias to look at Curtis Axel and hopes he can sing with a neck brace on, because he will need a neck brace after tonight.

Seth Rollins beats Cesaro. Charly Caruso interviews Rollins after the match, Rollins says that The Shield are not going in different directions, and he is riding solo tonight due to Ambrose being on his honeymoon. Roman's Intercontinental title victory has only inspired him, and next week, he and Ambrose will hopefully invoke their rematch for the Raw tag titles and take the tag titles back so that they can all be champions.

Backstage, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Akira Tozawa and Mustafa Ali are talking with General Manager Kurt Angle, wanting an opportunity against Enzo Amore. Angle says it is time to determine a new challenge for the Cruiserweight title. In three weeks' time, there will be a challenger. We then learn that Mickie and Bayley have been attacked backstage. Paige considers making this a 3-on-1 handicap match, then talks about how he has been hounded in public for her actions. She then explains how she was the woman to stick a flag in the ground a year ago and remove "Diva" from the WWE dictionary. She calls herself the matriarch of the WWE evolution, and last week, she made a statement to prove to everyone who she is. Now, she is back. Paige, Mandy and Sonya then approach the ring, and Paige then calls her group "Absolution." Mandy says people may have forgotten that before all of the new additions to the WWE main roster, there was Paige. Mandy says they did not forget. Sonya says every woman has pushed the competition, pushed the envelope and raised the game. She says nothing would have been raised if it was not for Paige, and that is why she and Mandy have pledge allegiance to her. She then says Absolution will be a whole different type of evolution. Paige then asks Sasha if she is either with them or against them. Sasha hits Paige with a forearm, but Mandy and Sonya easily overpower her. Sasha fights back, but this does not last for long and Absolution gangs up on her.

Bray Wyatt announces that he is here.

Bray Wyatt shows up. Before the next match, Bray says he never had a childhood or celebrated holidays. He never carved a turkey, or even cared. He then says the crowd celebrates like "they" want them to as "they" tell them what to do, what to buy, who to love and who to be. He says this is pathetic, but when he tries to show them the way, they never listen, and now their ignorance fuels him and their suffering brings him joy, as now his eyes are wide open, and he can see the people for who they are. He says nobody in the crowd is alive and that they are all dead as he laughs, and asks if they can feel it.

Bray Wyatt beats Matt Hardy. After the match, Matt Hardy starts screaming and then yells "Delete!" multiple times.

Jason Jordan is talking to General Manager Kurt Angle, saying he looked forward to his rematch with Braun Strowman tonight. He also says that he is being roasted on social media by people thinking he faked an injury to get out of a match. His answer to silence the doubters is to face Kane later tonight. When Angle asks if he is 100% percent, he says yes. Angle then makes the match official.

Rich Swann beats Ariya Daivari, Noam Dar and Akira Tozawa in a Fatal 4-Way match to continue to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship #1 contender's match in two weeks' time. During the match, Enzo Amore is seen watching this match from backstage.

Before the next match, Elias sings and plays guitar for the crowd. Before he does, however, he says The Miz is not here tonight, and decides to dedicate his song tonight to him as he sits at home with his wife Maryse. It is not long before Elias has to start over due to the crowd trying to drown him out. He manages to finish "The Miztourage Blues," then says he will do something special tonight, and introduces everyone to Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Elias then starts another song that he dedicates to The Miz, and Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel play harmonica which, while out of key with Elias' guitar, sounds good. This song is also completed. Bo and Axel then take a bow, then Elias says this is the time for applause. Elias plays guitar again, then the crowd chants "We want Roman!" Elias says "Well, right now, nobody wants Roman more than me!" He asks Bo, Axel and the crowd to all take a seat so they tune in to his next performance, when Roman walks with Elias.

Roman Reigns retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Elias. After the match, Roman Reigns is suddenly attacked by Samoa Joe on the stage and put in a Coaquina Clutch that referees and officials have to break. Samoa Joe tells Roman Reigns he is coming for him, then goes after him again. The second time around, however, is far more brief.

Asuka beats Dana Brooke in mere seconds with the Asuka Lock. After the match, Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville) shows up. Absolution surround the ring, and Asuka stands her ground in the middle of the ring. Suddenly, Absolution backs off, and Asuka slowly leaves the ring without turning her back on them.

Next week: The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) vs. Sheamus and Cesaro for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships!

Before the next match, Jason Jordan mentions people speculating about his injured knee and how injured it is, and says doubters are using it as an excuse to get out of his match with Braun Strowman. He says this is not any further from the truth, and that he knows his body best. When he got out of Braun's powerslam, he felt a pop in his knee and knew he could not continue. Thanks to WWE's medical staff and a week of rehab, he feels he is back at 100%. He then announces he is about to silence the doubters and do what Braun could not do: shut down The Big Red Machine, Kane.

Kane beats Jason Jordan by count-out when Jason Jordan hurts his knee again getting tossed out of the ring and cannot get back in the ring in time. After the match, Kane and Jordan continue to fight, but Jordan gets hit with a big boot before getting tossed out again. Kane continues to work on that injured left knee when all of a sudden, Finn Balor shows up.

Finn Balor beats Kane by disqualification after Kane hits Finn with a steel chair. After the match, Kane continues to hit Finn Balor with the steel chair in the back in the ring. Kane then wraps the steel chair around Finn Balor's head, and when he goes up to the middle rope, Braun Strowman shows up, holding his hand to his throat. Kane hits Strowman with the chair, and it has absolutely no effect. Kane is surprised, and he begs Strowman off. Strowman hits Kane with a big boot before going to town on him in the corner. Braun then brings some steel steps into the ring before grabbing Kane and slamming him into the other set. Braun then gets Kane back in the ring and hits him with the steel chair, then puts Kane in a running powerslam onto the steel steps. The crowd chants "One more time," then Strowman grabs the steel chair and injures Kane's windpipe just like Kane did to him last week. Kane has no choice but to retreat through the crowd, much to the shock and surprise of those seated in the front rows.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 20, 2017

Commissioner Stephanie McMahon shows up to start the show. Stephanie calls Raw the "A-show" and "the show that devastated SmackDown Live." She says her brother Shane McMahon knew they would not stand a chance, as he strikes first, while she strikes to win. She says that Kurt Angle's job as General Manager is "1000% secure." She then introduces Triple H as the man who secured the victory for Raw, and brings him out. Triple H shows up in the usual three-piece suit. Shortly after Triple H shows up, however, so does General Manager Kurt Angle. Angle tells Triple H this is the Olympic Hall of Famer talking to him, not the General Manager, and he tells him that if he tags him from behind like he did last night again, he can take the job and shove it as he will come after him. Stephanie reminds him that he is speaking as General Manager to the COO of WWE, and while she appreciates the intensity, she asks him not to jeopardize his job again. Jason Jordan shows up and wants to fight Triple H, but Angle stops Jordan and says that he is just a general manager while Jordan he is just a competitor. Stephanie tells Angle he does not have the authority to make the match. Jordan asks Triple H if he is a coward. Triple H takes off his jacket. Stephanie tells Jordan that Triple H will tear him apart, and that he is not afraid of anybody in the locker room. Suddenly, Brock Strowman shows up. Strowman gets right up in Triple H's face, and Stephanie almost gets out of the ring. Triple H and Strowman stare eye-to-eye. Triple H steps back, then leaves the ring with Stephanie as Strowman approaches the apron. The crowd chants "You're a coward" as Strowman follows Triple H. Stephanie then announces that since Jordan wants a match and the crowd is so bloodthirsty, Jason Jordan will be facing Braun Strowman tonight. Strowman and Jordan stare off as Angle watches both men.

Samoa Joe beats Finn Balor by submission after sending Finn out of consciousness with the Coaquina Clutch.

We see footage of fans getting tickets for WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.

Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) advertise WWEShop.com's Countdown To Black Friday.

General Manager Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan talk backstage. Jordan confesses that he is not 100% and only said he was because Triple H was there. Angle cannot cancel the match, but Jordan says if he needs him to wrestle, he will wrestle. Jordan says he knows what Angle has done in his career, and that Angle's blood runs through his veins. He is not afraid of Braun Strowman, and when he's done, Strowman will be telling horror stories about him.

Asuka beats Dana Brooke.

It's time for Miz TV. Miz says he made Baron Corbin relevant, but his 15 minutes of fame are over as he has bigger things to deal with than him. His special guest tonight is Roman Reigns. Roman does not show up right away, and Miz introduces him again. Roman fails to show up a second time. As Miz says this is show and that he does not deserve this respect, Roman fails to show up a third time...almost. The Shield's (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) music hits, and Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins show up along with Roman. Miz says he only invited Roman, but The Shield cannot get enough of each other and that they must be feeling pretty good right now. Ambrose says they do, as they proved to The New Day that they haven't missed a step. Rollins says they proved they are the most dominant three-man team in WWE, and right now, they are pretty much unstoppable. Miz then gives The Shield a Miz TV welcome, and says it is like old times, but one thing bothers him: he has not heard a thank you. When Reigns asks who the "thank you" is supposed to go to, Miz says it is to him. Roman says there will never be a world where The Shield says thanks to The Miz. Miz reminds them that the "Shield reunion tour" started all because of him. He says it was in the same building they are in now that Seth and Dean got back together, and from there, it was not long until they donned the vests again, and says he deserves a "thank you" for that. He has heard it from the fans, but not The Shield. Miz also goes on to claim that he deserves residuals for the new Shield merchandise. Roman says that if The Miz deserves to thank anybody, it is the Houston, Texas fans. The lights go off, then come back on. Miz then calls The Shield "ungrateful," but Roman says The Shield won last night and Miz didn't. The Miz says he is still WWE Intercontinental Champion, but Seth Rollins says it is only a matter of time until he and Ambrose get back on the road to Raw's tag team titles. Roman says if they're going for the tag titles, he should have one too. Rollins gives Reigns ideas of going for the Intercontinental Championship, and Roman says he hopes Miz isn't doing anything tonight, because he's free. He then asks the fans what they think. Suddenly, Bo Dallas tells Roman he cannot just show up on Miz TV and challenge Miz for the title. If Roman wants Miz, he will have to go through him and Curtis Axel. Bo Dallas gets hit with a shot to the throat, and Miz runs away. Curtis Axel is then surrounded by The Shield, and he tries to beg them off. Dean Ambrose surprises him from behind, then Rollins hits Axel with the knee before Ambrose hits him with Dirty Deeds. When Bo Dallas gets up, he is also surrounded by The Shield, who then go on the attack as The Miz watches from the ramp. Bo then falls victim to the three-man powerbomb.

Charly Caruso interviews Braun Strowman. Braun says Jason Jordan not being afraid of him makes him different from everyone else...including Triple H.

Dean Ambrose beats Sheamus after after Seth Rollins dives onto Cesaro as Sheamus readies a Brogue Kick.

Matt Hardy meets Jason Jordan in the locker room. When Jordan asks for pointers, Matt wishes him luck on taking him off his feet and says facing Braun was a humbling experience as he really is a monster among men. He says he has learned a lot in WWE, including that some nights, it's not your night.

Alexa Bliss shows up. Alexa is not happy with all the social media pity, and knows she took Charlotte Flair to her limits. She says Charlotte only won because she got lucky. Survivor Series may not have been her night, but 2017 has been her year. She is still the Goddess of WWE, and there is not a simple woman on the planet who can hold a candle to her. Suddenly, Mickie James shows up. Mickie asks the fans who is sick and tired of hearing the same, worn-out jibber jabber from "Little Miss Biscuit Butt." After a "biscutt butt" chant from the fans, Mickie says Survivor Series is over and it is now back to Raw business. The only business she is concerned with is the Raw Women's Championship. As Alexa asks Mickie if she is joking, Bayley shows up. Bayley agrees with Alexa, saying 2017 has been Alexa's year, but says the year isn't over and she is not the same woman Alexa beat for the Women's title. Bayley says she has to jump over Mickie in line, as the title is hers. As Alexa asks Bayley if she is joking, Sasha Banks shows up. Sasha says the consensus is in and that Raw deserves a better champion, but not a huggable or a highly-decorated champion. She says it deserves a legit boss and not a "little B" like Alexa. Then Alicia Fox shows up. Alicia Fox says that if Raw needs a boss, then the captain of the Raw women's team should have that opportunity, as Raw would not have beaten SmackDown Live two weeks in a row without her guidance. Alexa thanks everyone else in the ring for wasting her time, saying nobody deserves a championship opportunity against her. Suddenly, General Manager Kurt Angle shows up. Angle doesn't mind her leaving, but reminds her that Raw is the show, and that she will get another opportunity to prove herself against the winner of a Fatal 4-Way match, which starts right now.

During the Fatal 4-Way Match between Bayley, Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Alicia Fox, Paige suddenly shows up after a lengthy absence. Paige says, "Did you miss me?" The crowd immediately chants "Yes." Paige then says she has something important to say: she's back. The crowd then chants "Welcome back." Paige then says she didn't come back alone. She then approaches the ring, and Mickie is surrounded and attacked by Sonya Deville Mandy Rose from NXT, who come out through the crowd. Paige then hits Bayley with the Ram-Paige.

Backstage, Renee Young interviews Paige, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose. It isn't long before Alexa Bliss shows up and says Paige doesn't have to explain herself, saying Mickie James, Alicia Fox, Bayley and Sasha Banks got what they deserved. After Alexa tells Renee to buzz off, Paige introduces Mandy and Sonya to Alexa Bliss. Alexa says it's nice to meet them, but all she gets is a cold, hard stare from them and Paige. Paige then kicks Alexa in the gut, then she, Mandy and Sonya strike until Alexa is laid out.

Jason Jordan beats Braun Strowman by disqualification after a sudden attack from behind by Kane with a steel chair. Kane presses the steel chair on Strowman's throat, then drives the other end of the chair into the steel steps, hurting Strowman in the windpipe and leaving him unable to breathe. Referees and medical staff help Strowman to the back as he violently struggles to breathe.

It is announced that Braun Strowman is refusing medical attention after the assault from Kane.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore - showing up with Noam Dar, Ariya Daivari, Drew Gulak and "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese - brags about retaining the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Kalisto last night. Enzo says he is still the face of 205 Live, but it was not easy as there was an army of haters. However, the hate didn't matter because he had his army, and says everyone should be thankful as Thanksgiving is right around the corner. He then says Noam Dar, Ariya Daivari, Drew Gulak and Tony Nese are thankful for him. He says that since joining "The 'Zo Train," the ladies can't keep their hands off Noam Dar, Nese has two or three more abs, Daivari has more money and clothes, and Gulak reached more people. Suddenly, Akira Tozawa, Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali show up. Enzo says if they want to jump on the 'Zo Train, they'll have to prove themselves. Alexander says they're not here for the 'Zo Train, they're here for the Cruiserweight title and they are willing to earn it unlike "a couple of suck-ups." Enzo asks if Kalisto has poisoned their brains, and says the 'Zo Train is the only way to the top, and the guy on top didn't fall there. He says either get on board or get out of the way. Swann tells Enzo to make them go away, then says he can't do it without "his boys." This starts an eight-man brawl after Enzo slips out of the ring.

Angle tells Jason Jordan he did not let him down, but Jordan says Matt Hardy was right and that Braun Strowman is a monster among men.

In the ring, Elias plays guitar, and says it is the sound of success before saying nobody here knows what it would sound like. He then says he is in a good mood as Raw did great, then plays a song he wrote. The crowd chants "Let's go, Astros!" Elias then tells everyone that the season is over and to grow up. He then goes back to playing guitar and singing about beating Matt Hardy, then gets interrupted by Matt Hardy. Elias and Matt Hardy go at it, and Matt Hardy goes for the Twist of Fate. Elias pushes Matt away and gets out of the ring, but Matt wants more.

Roman Reigns beats The Miz to become the WWE Intercontinental Champion after Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins show up and fight Sheamus and Cesaro at ringside following the latter team's distraction of Roman Reigns.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 13, 2017

Commissioner Stephanie McMahon shows up to start tonight's show. Stephanie says that as Chief Brand Officer of the WWE, she has to make a lot of big decisions for the company everyday, and she needs true leaders to help her execute. She introduces General Manager and Survivor Series team captain Kurt Angle, who shows up. When asked about how The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) got into the building last week, Angle says he does not know. Stephanie wants to know if there was a raid. She also wants to know who the fifth man in the Survivor Series team is. Angle says it is Jason Jordan. As for the fifth man on SmackDown Live, it is John Cena (which was revealed on Twitter last week). Stephanie concludes that either Angle picked Jordan over Cena, or if Cena is so embarrassed that he joined Team SmackDown. As for the first thing Angle will do, he will break SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon's ankle. Stephanie says Shane won't start the match and will let others do the work for him; and that Angle can't snap an ankle anymore. Stephanie starts thinking that she made a mistake putting her faith in Kurt Angle, and that nothing he has said to him has changed her mind. She wants him to decimate SmackDown Live, but before she can fire him, The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) show up, and this time Roman Reigns is with them for the first time in weeks. Ambrose asks Stephanie if she is a leader, and says he has seen them come and go and that there is none better than Angle. He says Angle proved it at TLC. Stephanie McMahon wants to know where the Raw tag team titles are, how The New Day made The Shield look like fools, and where Roman Reigns has been. Roman spins it around and asks Stephanie where she has been, saying she's been out longer than he has. The Shield makes it clear that they don't what Stephanie wants them to do; they do what they want to do, and they want to fight The New Day. He challenges The New Day to a six-man tag match at Survivor Series. Roman then says that Angle will lead Team Raw to victory, and that they will whup The New Day's asses and destroy them.

Bayley beats Dana Brooke and Mickie James in a Triple Threat Match to join Raw's Women's team. During the match, Asuka checks on Dana Brooke, but Dana Brooke gets ticked off and hits Asuka before daring her to get in the ring. Not surprisingly, Asuka lays her out.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore says that this Sunday, Kalisto will be competing for "his boo," the Cruiserweight Championship, and the future of 205 Live. Enzo says he is money, and says Kalisto equals "nonexistent pockets." Before Drew Gulak can speak, Kalisto and Akira Tozawa show up.

Enzo Amore and Drew Gulak beat Akira Tozawa and Kalisto.

General Manager Kurt Angle is backstage with the Survivor Series Men's Team. Finn Balor and Samoa Joe will be in a match with Gallows & Anderson to see if they can get along. Jason Jordan will face Bray Wyatt tonight to prove that Angle is not playing favorites. Braun Strowman, on the other hand, demands a match with Kane. He gets it.

It's time for Miz TV. Tonight's special guests are Sheamus and Cesaro. The Miz says that Baron Corbin has squandered opportunities, while he creates them. He has an opportunity tonight against The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns), but he won't be doing it alone. He will have help from tonight's guests, Sheamus and Cesaro. Sheamus says he and Cesaro were not surprised by The New Day's (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) surprise appearance. Cesaro says that while The Shield were more focused on representing Raw, they were focused on the titles, and they took them last week to become three-time tag champs. Sheamus then says he and Cesaro are the real tag team champions, unlike The Usos, who won theirs "on that cute little B-show, SmackDown." The Miz demands that the crowd give Sheamus and Cesaro the respect they deserve. Sheamus reiterates that he and Cesaro are the real tag team champions, and Cesaro says they will jailbreak the Uso Penitentiary. The Miz then proclaims he, Sheamus and Cesaro will break The Shield, and this time it is the classic Shield without a glory-hogging Kurt Angle. Miz says that The Shield have gone through so much just to reunite for a match with them, but he says the moment belongs to him, Sheamus and Cesaro, as the "happy reunion tour" ends tonight.

We see a video package chronicling SmackDown Live's attacks on Raw.

It is announced that The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) have accepted The Shield's (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) challenge for Survivor Series.

Jason Jordan beats Bray Wyatt after reversing a Sister Abigail into a schoolboy pin. General Manager Kurt Angle and Commissioner Stephanie McMahon watch the match from backstage. After the match, Bray Wyatt attacks Jason Jordan and drills him with a clothesline at ringside before slamming Jordan's injured leg into the ring post. General Manager Kurt Angle heads towards the ring as Jordan is helped to the back.

Jason Jordan is checked on by a trainer. General Manager Kurt Angle says Jason won't be able to compete at Survivor Series, but Jason says he's seen Kurt fight through pain and he wants this opportunity.

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up. Heyman says this is the very first time in history that the Universal Champion will square off with the WWE Champion, as well as the first time that Brock Lesnar will face off with AJ Styles. He goes on to say this may be the only time Lesnar faces Styles in the ring, and tells the fans that if they want to see this happens, it happens this Sunday. Heyman then goes to say that he himself wants to see Lesnar vs. Styles, saying that he cannot put Lesnar on a pedestal any better than he can, especially with the opponents Lesnar has faced this year. He says that Styles possesses an impressive dichotomy and does not sell his wrestling ability short, but says speed kills. Suddenly, a wedding proposal happens in the crowd, and the crowd chants "She said yes!" Heyman says she only said yes because she's never been up close to a beast like Lesnar and that interrupting his promo is like having a match with Lesnar: you don't have a chance. Heyman goes on to call Styles the greatest performance of his generation and says Styles is a perfect opponent for Lesnar due to his career momentum and his worldwide admiration, but now Styles must be the ultimate underdog as he will step in the ring with Lesnar, who will make the claim that he will be the #1 champion then, now and forever. Paul Heyman then calls Styles "a Rocky movie come to life," having scored definitive victories over men like John Cena and Jinder Mahal to become WWE Champion again. But he says this is Survivor Series, not a Rocky movie, and Styles won't survive Brock Lesnar. Heyman looks forward to watching Styles at Survivor Series put on the show of his life only to be conquered by Lesnar.

The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) beat The Miz, Sheamus and Cesaro. During the match, The Miz runs away through the crowd after The Shield makes quick work of both Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel at ringside. After the break, The Miz is back in the ring and is actively fighting The Shield. Nevertheless, The Shield win with a three-man powerbomb to Miz.

We see Kane. Even someone as sick and depraved as him can smile. All he has to do is remember what he did to Braun Strowman at TLC. Tonight, he will show Strowman that there are worse things in life than death, like him.

We look back at Lita vs. Trish Stratus on Raw for the WWE Women's Championship from December 2004 - the first ever women's main event in WWE.

General Manager Kurt Angle is in the ring. He says the decision he is about to make is probably the toughest in his career. He mentions Jason Jordan's injury, and as General Manager and team captain, he cannot allow him to compete at Survivor Series. Just as he is about to name a replacement, Jason Jordan shows up and still wants in the match, but Angle says he is not at 100%. Jordan says he will be fine by Sunday, and reminds Kurt he won a gold medal with a broken neck. Jordan says he has emulated Angle, whom he wants to fight side-by-side with, his entire life, and says he was picked for the team because he was the best option. He says he will never get another shot like this again. Commissioner Stephanie McMahon shows up, tells Angle to make the announcement, then leaves. Suddenly, Triple H says that if Angle won't make the announcement, he will. Triple H declares that he is the fifth man for Team Raw. Jason Jordan is disappointed, then Triple H hits Jason Jordan with a Pedigree.

Finn Balor and Samoa Joe beat Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson).

Charly Caruso interviews Alexa Bliss. Alexa Bliss says when she went to Raw, SmackDown became the B-Show. She is interested in the SmackDown Women's title match, but she doesn't care who wins as she will reign supreme at Survivor Series.

Tomorrow night on 205 Live: Kalisto's birthday celebration!

Kane vs. Braun Strowman ends before it even starts after a ringside brawl and Braun Strowman hitting Kane with a running powerslam through the ring.

After the show goes off the air, Braun Strowman gets out from underneath the ring under his own power.
