Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 9, 2018

Commissioner Stephanie McMahon shows up to start tonight's show. It is noticed that Stephanie is nursing her left arm, which is in some sort of brace. When she gets in the ring, the crowd chants "You tapped out!" Stephanie shows irritation with the crowd for showing her no sympathy, which causes the chants to get louder. Stephanie says the crowd may be chanting that, but they have to admit they were surprised at her performance and that she deserves the accolades as she knew what she was doing. She says that if she challenged Rousey in her world, she would bring out the best in her, and she deserves the pat on the back for that. Stephanie then brings out Rousey, who shows up. Stephanie tells Ronda that she made her tap out and that the better woman won. She goes on to say that everything Ronda does is with heart and passion, and that she is a role model for young girls everywhere. She also says she was beaten by the best in the world, and she has no shame in that. Stephanie says that with Ronda's talent and her spotlight, there is no place they cannot go and that she can apply her muscle towards anything that she does. This causes the crowd to chant "Bullshit!" Stephanie tells Ronda she is smarter than all the fans, for she is a businesswoman, and that she taught her a valuable lesson. This leads to a "Shut the fuck up!" chant. She then tells the fans to give it up for "her friend," "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. Ronda and Stephanie hug, then Ronda puts her in another arm bar, ripping the arm brace off in the process.. Two referees and two EMTs have to run into the ring to check on Stephanie. The crowd sings Na Na Hey Hey (The Goodbye Song) as Stephanie is helped to the back. Jojo asks the crowd for some respect for Stephanie, which leads to a storm of boos.

Next Monday on Raw and SmackDown Live: The Superstar Shake-Up!

Before the next match, Alexa says there is no bigger bully in the WWE than "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey, unless people are talking about Nia Jax. She says it is time for people to hear the truth, as Nia loves to throw her weight around. She then says this is a lot of weight, which is twice the weight of Mickie and three times the weight of her. After an "Asshole!" chant, Alexa says Nia beat Mickie up for no reason and that she lost because she is a compassionate woman. She also claims to have competed under emotional distress last night, and says Nia enjoyed every second of it for she is cold as ice and everybody knows it, and that is why she has no tag team partner. Nia tells Alexa to shut up, and admits she enjoyed every second of doing it, and that she is now the new Raw Women's Champion. She also says he has a partner, and that partner is Ember Moon.

Nia Jax and Ember Moon beat Alexa Bliss and Mickie James in Ember Moon's main roster debut.

Backstage, General Manager Kurt Angle is on the phone, and has nothing but praise for Ember Moon. Suddenly, he is met by Braun Strowman. He has brought Nicholas with him, and Angle admits that Strowman's tag team partner is a surprise. Strowman then says that they are relinquishing the Raw tag team titles due to "scheduling conflicts," as Nicholas is still in the 4th grade. Braun says that when Nicholas is grown up, they will come back for the titles, and Nicholas says that when he comes back, somebody is going to "get these hands."

Coming up next: No Way Jose!

No Way Jose quickly beats John Skyler.

Backstage, General Manager Kurt Angle is met by Sheamus and Cesaro, who have heard that the Raw tag team titles have been relinquished. They expect the titles to be handed back to them, but Angle tells them they will have their rematch at Greatest Royal Rumble in three weeks against three other teams. The three teams chosen will have proven themselves in what he calls the "Tag Team Eliminator".

The crowd chants "You deserve it," then Rollins says there has been a lot of ups and downs in the last few years and that tonight was the loudest "Burn it down!" he had ever heard, which leads to a "Burn it down!" chant from the crowd. Rollins says he is finally back, and he admits "Grand Slam Rollins" has a nice ring to it. This leads to a "Grand Slam Rollins" chant. Rollins announces he has caught up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, and that The Shield are all Grand Slam Champions, and that winning the last leg at WrestleMania made it all the more special for him. As Rollins thanks the fans for making this week special, Finn Balor shows up. He gets in the ring and congratulates Rollins, saying he deserves it. Finn then says Rollins was the better man last night, but last night was also a Triple Threat Match. He says there was a winner, a loser, and him wanting more. Finn then says he wants to be the first person to step up and challenge Rollins for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Finn extends his hand, and Rollins shakes it. Suddenly, The Miztourage (The Miz, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) shows up. Miz tells Rollins does not deserve the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which leads to an "Asshole!" chant. Miz then says he deserves it, as he made the title the most relevant in all of WWE. He talks about how he walked down to the ring himself and deviate from his usual strategy, as he knew that he would never hear the end of it when he beat Rollins. The Miz then says he is a changed man after becoming a father, and he says that everything he does affects his daughter, and that his daughter and wife cried when he lost the Intercontinental title. Miz then admits that he cried, and Rollins admits that he is proud of Miz for admitting that, because that is what everyone does when they watch him try to wrestle. He then says Miz cannot lace his boots. Miz tells Finn to go to the back of the line, as he wants a rematch. Seth then says he was waiting for Miz to bring it up, and says if he wants to invoke the rematch clause, they can do it tonight. Miz asks the crowd if they want him to invoke his rematch clause, then he says no. He then says he is in a custom suit, and that he will invoke the rematch clause at Backlash. Miz tells Finn and Seth that when they negotiate, they negotiate from a position of strength. He then challenges Finn and Rollins to a tag team match with The Miztourage. Finn and Rollins then get ready for a fight. All of a sudden, Jeff Hardy shows up for the first time in months and joins Finn and Rollins. The Miztourage take their suit jackets off, then leave.

Bayley shows up to stand in Sasha Banks' corner for the next match.

Mandy Rose beats Sasha Banks. During the match, Mandy Rose provokes Bayley, who goes for a clothesline only for Mandy to duck and cause Bayley to strike Sasha instead. Sasha shows anger towards Bayley as she gets back into the ring only to be hit with a running knee by Mandy Rose, who gets the win. After the match, Paige announces that it was hard for her to sit on the sidelines at WrestleMania, and says that the wrestling ring is her blood, heart and soul. Unfortunately, due to neck injuries, she can no longer compete as an in-ring competitor. She says that this is one of the hardest thing she will ever have to say in her career. The fans then chant "Thank you, Paige!" Paige thanks every female Superstar in the back, and that she is proud to be part of the Women's division as they have built the division into something they never thought it would be. She also thanks her family, as she would not be here without them. Paige goes on to thank SmackDown Live Commissioner Daniel Bryan for giving her hope with his in-ring return. She also thanks Edge, whom she spoke with backstage, for proving there is life after the ring. She then says it is time to find something else, and thanks WWE for letting her entertain everyone for the past four years. Paige goes on to say New Orleans, Louisiana is where she debuted on the main roster and also where she wants to retire. She thanks the fans again, then the fans chant "This is your house!" Paige says that the ring will always be her house. She then lays the microphone and a Paige T-shirt in the middle of the ring, then leaves.

Elias is in the ring. Elias says that after last night, it is an undeniable fact that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias." He is impressed with the fan reaction, and says that in one year, he has become the biggest musical act on the face of the planet. He says that many people paid to see an Elias performance, and the fans respond with a "Seven Nation Army"-style Elias chant. Elias says he will perform tonight, albeit under the same selfish, ungrateful crowd as last night. The crowd responds by chanting "We are selfish!" Elias says he is glad that the crowd can admit that before telling everyone to be silent. He then plays guitar and makes fun of New Orleans, Louisiana, and everyone cheers as he threatens to punch the crowd in the face. All of a sudden, Bobby Lashley - fresh out of Impact Wrestling - makes his first WWE appearance in over a decade. Lashley gets in the ring, then stares Elias down as the crowd chants "Welcome back!" Elias tries to fight Lashley, but Lashley makes quick work of him with a bold, delayed one-armed vertical suplex.

General Manager Kurt Angle is on the phone backstage when he is met by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who are wearing business suits. As they explain what is going on to Angle, Angle knows they are her for a job and knows what they got fired for, but Sami says they want to be team players. Angle says that the tag team division is full and that "TNA is hiring." After both of them say that they don't have to be hired as a tag team, Angle says he only has one spot and that they must wrestle for it. Kevin and Sami reluctantly agree to the match.

Heath Slater and Rhyno are in the ring. Heath Slater says it is a shame he and Rhyno are not in the Tag Team Eliminator, as they were the first-ever SmackDown tag team champions. Heath says he's got kids and that he needs this job, and he challenges any tag team in the back to challenge them. That challenge is answered by The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar).

The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) beat Heath Slater and Rhyno. After the match, Akam and Rezar keep Paul Ellering at bay and walk up the ramp alone.

It is announced that Brock Lesnar has re-signed with WWE and will be defending the WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns at Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27th.

Roman Reigns shows up. Roman says he got his ass kicked last night, but he is here tonight. He then says that Brock Lesnar is not here, and he admits that he has no idea what happened last night as everything felt off. He says that everyone looked at him funny, and that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon could not even smarten him up. He then mentions Lesnar going to UFC and re-signing with WWE, and found out about his match with Lesnar at Greatest Royal Rumble on the Internet. After Roman Reigns says the story will end with him becoming WWE Universal Champion, Samoa Joe suddenly shows up for the first time in months. Samoa Joe says it is time to break out the tinfoil hats as Roman Reigns thinks there is a conspiracy against him. He then says that Brock Lesnar not just beat Roman; he exposed him. He mentions Roman claiming for over a year that he was the only one who could beat Brock Lesnar, and says that when he did not, he became a failure. As the crowd chants "Failure," Samoa Joe calls Roman a liar for lying to his fans, his family and himself, because he gets jacked up every time he gets in the ring with Lesnar and Lesnar gets richer. He then says that every time the story is told, it ends the same way with Lesnar conquering Roman and Roman making excuses as to why it happened. He then says the vicious cycle will end, because when Lesnar beats him at Greatest Royal Rumble, he will be waiting to put him to sleep at Backlash.

Before the next match, Matt Hardy talks to the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy, saying it is time to begin an expedition of gold. Bray Wyatt is seen with him, and they both laugh. Bray Wyatt then says they are here. Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt then appear behind Titus Worldwide.

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt beat Titus Worldwide (Titus O'Neil and Apollo) to advance in the Tag Team Eliminator and face The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) next week.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 26, 2018

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up to start tonight's show. Heyman talks about the beating that Lesnar gave to Roman Reigns last week, and shows the fans footage of the spectacle. Heyman then announces that the temporary suspension of Roman Reigns has been lifted, before also announcing that Roman Reigns is not here tonight. Heyman then says he cannot give Lesnar credit for Roman not being here, then mentions Roman's family - whom Heyman gives credit for molding Roman into a "Samoan badass" and a man - before saying that Roman is not here despite being advertised. He also says that if last week's beating went the other way, then Brock Lesnar would show up like King Kong on his knuckles, propel himself to the ring, and challenge Roman to take the WWE Universal Championship from him. Heyman then says Roman is not man enough to take the title from Lesnar, as he is not man enough to show up tonight and take another beating from him as well as to take the title from Lesnar at WrestleMania. Suddenly, Roman is spotted in the crowd, and he passes through the barricade with a steel chair. Despite holding an equalizer in his hands, Lesnar meets Roman with a clothesline and knocks him down. Roman then drives Lesnar head-first into the ring post before smashing the steel chair into his back. Roman goes for the Superman Punch, but Lesnar catches him and tosses him backwards with a release belly-to-belly suplex. Lesnar then picks up some steel steps, and hits Roman in the face with them before tossing the steps into the ring. Lesnar then tosses Roman into the ring along with them, then grabs the bent steel chair from earlier before placing it in the ring. He gets back into the ring and grabs the steps again, then smacks Roman with them a second time. Lesnar stomps the steel chair back into an unbent shape, then smacks it into Roman's back a few times as referees show up. After one more chair shot to Roman, Lesnar teases leaving with Heyman before getting back in the ring to hit Roman with an F5 into the steel steps. Lesnar then stands on the steps in the center of the ring and points at the WrestleMania sign before leaving for real.

After the commercial break, Roman Reigns heads to the back under his own power.

Nia Jax beats Mickie James after grabbing Mickie James off the top rope and hitting an immense Samoan Drop. After the match, Alexa Bliss tries to attack Nia Jax, but it has no effect. Nia goes after Alexa, and Alexa runs up the ramp. Nia tells Alexa she will catch her, and the censors are too late on the button when Nia calls Alexa a "little bitch."

It's time for Miz TV! The Miztourage (The Miz, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) are in the ring, and Miz tells the crowd "I live in LA" as they give him a "welcome home" chant. Miz asks Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel if they are enjoying themselves as part of The Miztourage. He says they should be happy as they are showcased every week on Raw...but he is not. He chews Bo and Axel out for their failures as of late, and tells them they would be nothing without him. Suddenly, Seth Rollins shows up, and says he is normally not a fan of Miz TV. However, he says that The Miztourage exploding is "great stuff," and says he will let them hash their problems. Miz takes offense to Seth showing up early, and Seth decides to be mediator. He says that Bo and Axel feel underappreciated, and asks Miz when the last time he said "thank you" to them was. Miz asks if this question is a joke, and Seth says it is not, as if it were not for them, Miz would not be WWE Intercontinental Champion. Seth leads a "Miztourage" chant, but Miz tells the crowd to shut up before telling Seth that the Miztourage knows they are grateful, and that he would still be a big shot. Bo says Miz would be "a phony A-lister who can't fight." Seth asks Bo to repeat that, as does The Miz. Before that can happen, Finn Balor shows up. Finn reminds Miz that he is scheduled to be on Miz tv tonight, too, and says Miz needs his help now like he needed Seth's earlier, as he wants to re-hear what Bo Dallas said. Finn tells Miz that Bo Dallas called him the biggest jerk he had ever met, and Bo Dallas accidentally repeats his "phony A-lister who can't fight" comment as he tries to downplay Finn's claims. The Miz demands Bo Dallas say it again. When he does, The Miz slaps him after three words. Curtis Axel has to hold Bo Dallas back, but The Miz says he is trying to motivate The Miztourage and that the Intercontinental title is what matters. Miz says he is 34 days from being the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time, and as he says that he is better than other title-holders - including Axel's father, Mr. Perfect - he angers Axel. Miz says that statement "slipped," but Seth and Finn says that was not a slip. The Miz proposes that they all calm down and announces that Miz TV is now cancelled. This leads to a "Yes!" chant in the crowd. Miz tries to walk his way out of it, but Bo and Axel stop him from doing so, much to the enjoyment of Seth, Finn and the crowd, who is chanting "Cleveland hates you!" As Miz says nobody wants to see this, the crowd erupts in a "Yes!" chant again, and Miz accidentally backs into Finn and Seth. Suddenly, Bo and Axel attack Finn and Seth, proving this was all a ruse, and Miz joins in on the numbers game. Bo and Axel then get Finn Balor up for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) show up to fight off Bo and Axel.Miz is then alone in the ring, and when he turns around, he decides to blast Finn with the Intercontinental title. Finn ducks and hits Sling Blade, then Seth shows up and nearly curb stomps Miz, who rolls out of the ring. Seth tells Miz that he will get what is coming to him, then he turns around to see Finn picking up and looking at the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Seth takes the title from him, and both men stare down as Seth lifts the title up. Suddenly, Finn sees Miz coming and takes him out, and Seth sends Miz out of the ring. When Seth turns around, Finn lays Seth out, then picks the Intercontinental title back up and lifts it up in front of a downed Seth in the center of the ring.

Asuka beats Jamie Frost with just one kick to the face.

We hear from Matt Hardy, who says that Bray Wyatt is no more and that the stench of his tyrannical reign has been replaced with the sweet stench of Senor Benjamin's spring daisies. He says that The Great War is over, and that his sights are set on The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania, and that anyone who gets in his way will be deleted like Bray Wyatt was.

Bayley is on her phone in the locker room when Sasha Banks shows up, saying she got her text. Bayley tells her she is entering the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal. Sasha wants to talk about last week, however. Sasha says she is sick of her passive-aggressiveness, and tells her that if she has something to say, to say it. Bayley says Sasha loved that she put her first and let her act like the legit boss. Sasha says she is right, and that she does what she does for her career and that Bayley should do the same. Bayley claims that Sasha keeps screwing her over because she can't beat her. Sasha reminds Bayley she is a four-time women's champion, but Bayley reminds her that she never held the belt for very long. Sasha then attacks Bayley, starting a brawl, and two referees have to break them apart. The two referees soon turn into three plus a female backstage worker before the brawl finally stops.

Before the next match, Sheamus tells Braun Strowman that he and Cesaro have Braun all figured out, and that he only won the tag team battle royal due to the art of surprise. Sheamus then says he and Cesaro want to know who Braun Strowman's partner is right now. Strowman grabs a microphone and tells them that if they want to know who it is, then he will tell them. All they have to do is have Sheamus get in the ring and beat him. Sheamus asks how this is fair, and demands an answer right now. Strowman tells Sheamus that he may get an answer, but he guarantees that Sheamus will get these hands. Sheamus then gets in the ring, and the next match begins.

Braun Strowman beats Sheamus despite distractions and interference attempts from Cesaro.

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up. Angle says that WrestleMania is two weeks away, and so is WWE CEO Triple H and WWE CBO and Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon standing across the ring from him and "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey, whom he introduces. Rousey shows up and makes her way to the ring. He says that WrestleMania is the most intimidating stage to compete on for the very first time, but after the training and dedication that Rousey has put in, she is ready. He reminds Rousey that Triple H and Stephanie mean it when they say that they write the rules, and while WrestleMania will be fun, it will not be easy. Rousey says she did not come to WWE for easy, as she wants to earn everything she gets. She says Stephanie is tough, but only "trust fund," "limousine" and "personal trainer" tough, and she will get her arm ripped out of its socket. Suddenly, Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville) shows up. Paige says that the one thing that will sabotage one in WWE is not having friend. She then introduces herself and Absolution before personally welcoming her to Raw. She then says this is Absolution's show, and that this is her house. Paige says that she may have grown up on WWE, but people get taken advantage of and that it is good to have some back-up. Rousey appreciates the offer, but declines. Paige tells her that if she thinks Kurt Angle has her back, she is committing career suicide. She says that Rousey could be the fourth member of Absolution. Rousey thanks Paige for the offer, then declines again. Paige tells Rousey she has made her choice and that it is not a good one, and instead of making good friends, she made worse enemies. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville get in the ring, but Rousey blocks a shot by Mandy and sends Sonya to the mat before slamming Mandy into Sonya. Kurt Angle raises Ronda Rousey's hand in victory, then Mandy Rose tries to strike back only to get put in an arm bar by Rousey. Elias talks about how he sold Madison Square Garden out last week, and calls coming to Cleveland, Ohio "a huge disappointment." He says he is embarrassed to be here, and says LeBron James said he felt the same way when he came back from Miami. Elias then claims that LeBron James will leave Cleveland again, then says he has just written a song and that it would be a shame if he did not sing it. Elias sings about WrestleMania and how he is stuck in Cleveland, and says it would be more embarrassing if he was a Cleveland Brown. He then asks "No, seriously, how bad are the Browns?" Elias continues to sing, then Rhyno shows up for the next match.

Elias beats Rhyno. After the match, Elias attacks Heath Slater as he checks on Rhyno and hits him with Drift Away.

Cena screams The Undertaker's name, and as the crowd chants for The Undertaker, Cena says he knows The Undertaker is not deaf and just a coward after the fans continue to chant his name and he does not show up. The crowd chants for The Undertaker again, and Cena says The Undertaker does not get to be mysterious here. He demands a yes or no answer, and the crowd chants "Yes!" Cena says he is fine with "no," as he has no problems going to WrestleMania as a fan; however, he asks The Undertaker to feel the energy of the fans as they chant his name. Cena then demands that The Undertaker do something, as he has only one week left that sums up his entire career. He says that The Undertaker can either do something or do nothing, and if he does nothing, he will let everyone down and prove he only cares about himself. Cena hopes to everything that is still good inside the ring that The Undertaker shows up next week. John Cena leaves, and he does another Undertaker-style throat slash gesture before the show ends.

Braun Strowman shows up to start tonight's show. Suddenly, General Manager Kurt Angle shows up, flanked by a team of security guards. Angle tells Strowman he has a story that doesn't have a happy ending. He could have maimed Kane and Brock Lesnar, and he also destroyed thousands of dollars in equipment. Strowman says it could have been a lot worse. Angle says Strowman created an unsafe working environment, and he is responsible for everyone at the show. Strowman tells Angle to do his job, as he did his last week. Enzo Amore and "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese shows up. Enzo agrees that Braun Strowman is a monster among men, but so is he. He may be walking into Royal Rumble battered and bruised, but he will walk out champion. If he is Frankenstein's monster, then Cedric Alexander is Dracula because he sucks. If Cedric wants a piece of him again, he'll have to get through his garlic in Tony Nese. Cedric Alexander then shows up and brings out Goldust. He confronts Enzo for comparing himself to Boris Karloff, and says if he was a movie, he'd go straight to DVD. Meanwhile, Cedric is a box office smash. He then says that when Cedric wins at Royal Rumble, only one word will describe him: champion. Cedric takes the microphone and calls Enzo "sawft."

Backstage, Braun Strowman enters a production truck and gives everyone a hard time. He scares everyone out of a room, then leaves. Everyone heads back to their stations when the truck suddenly shakes. Braun Strowman has disengaged the tractor, then gets out of the truck and tries to topple it over. General Manager Kurt Angle shows up and tells him he called the cops. Braun leaves, but returns and topples the truck anyway. Strowman then screams in Angle's face and leaves again, and security begs for him to leave. The security guards try to reason with Braun Strowman, who turns around and warns them to get away. Strowman then heads to the stage. Strowman looks at the commentary table, and everyone at the table runs away. Michael Cole is not so lucky, and Strowman nabs him before carrying him like a child. Angle shows up with a bevy of security guards. He tells Strowman that he has called off the cops, and that Commissioner Stephanie McMahon has rehired him. He asks that Strowman let Cole go. He says that has been missing from the back for quite some time. He says he and Dawson are students of the game, and all they are worried about are getting in holds and winning matches. As for what old school star they would like to meet next week, Dawson says there is nothing old-school about beer shots and crotch chops. He says those things have made a mockery of wrestling, and they are professional wrestlers, not sports entertainers. Scott Dawson says they are as real as they get and WWE cannot change them. Elias sings about Cena and plays guitar, saying that Cena is destined to fail at Royal Rumble, then goes for another song. He then introduces The Miztourage.

The Miztourage is still in the ring. The Miz says that last week, he returned after a six-week absence and received a "Welcome back" chant, which he says was awesome. He says the fans knew something was missing during those six weeks. He says that he was the spark the show was missing, not John Cena or Brock Lesnar. Whether General Manager Kurt Angle likes him or not, he knows, and give him his Intercontinental Championship rematch, which he says felt awesome, as did laying waste to Roman Reigns. He says he is responsible for some unforgettable moments, and now USA Network has asked him and Maryse to film a new reality shows. Next week, he will over-deliver like he always does, and people will talk about him for 25 more years. Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 25, 2017

John Cena returns to Raw to start tonight's show. It is announced that the entire first hour of Raw is commercial-free. (This announcement only applies to USA Network in America; commercials are awkwardly placed during the second and third matches of the night, especially in the UK.) John Cena gives a fan in orange Cena gear the hat and shirt off his back. He also thanks the Chicago, Illinois crowd for the "Merry Christmas" chant. Cena says WWE is his home, and the fans his family. He gives cheers for the good times, the bad times, and for a day like today when everybody in the crowd can be together. As he speaks, Elias shows up with his guitar. Elias tells Cena that WWE stands for "Walk with Elias," and asks who wants to walk with him. Cena says he will walk with him. Elias says he is tired of the constant interruptions, and says he might as well interrupt him as the crowd chants "CM Punk." Elias then says he is sure CM Punk will not interrupt him, either. Cena asks the crowd to let Elias have some fun for once. Elias says he will perform tonight as the crowd continues to chant "CM Punk," regardless of how often they chant "CM Punk." Cena tries to give Elias advice, but Elias won't let him. Cena then simply lays a stool in the ring, and Elias sits down on it as the lights are reduced to a single spotlight. The crowd chants "CM Punk" again, and Elias blames it on Cena. Elias begins to mock Chicago, and Cena immediately stops him. He says he was willing to give him a chance and wanted to warn him not to do this, and says Chicago isn't a bad place to spend the holidays. He then calls Elias out for playing okay, but calling the crowd jerks whenever he does. He then tells the crowd is not jerks; Elias is. Elias says he never thought of it that way, and says Cena is right and maybe he is a jerk. He says he would love to do that song again if the Chicago crowd is willing to give him a second chance. Cena warns him that Chicago is a tough city, but it is Christmas, and gives him the second chance. Elias plays the song again, much to the happiness of Cena. Cena picks up the singing where Elias left off, and Elias punches him in the face when he turns around. Elias then says he does not play for Cena, and that both Christmas and Chicago are overrated. As John Cena gets up, Elias takes the boots to him, then says Santa didn't visit him this morning and he is giving himself the gift of challenging Cena right now. He then asks for a referee. Referee John Cone shows up, and the match is official and it starts right now.

It is announced that Dean Ambrose has suffered an army injury and that Ambrose may be out of action for up to nine months.

Renee Young interviews Samoa Joe. Joe has no remorse for what he did to Dean Ambrose last week, and says Dean can now spend time with his loved ones during the holidays. His actions have also given him an Intercontinental title shot. He says that Roman Reigns will not waltz into the ring thinking he will retain the Intercontinental Championship, as he will put Roman to sleep and take the title away from him.

The first hour of SmackDown Live will also be commercial-free.

We see a video package of the creation of the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Universal Championship between Kane, Braun Strowman, and Brock Lesnar from last week.

Finn Balor beats Curt Hawkins, bringing Curt Hawkins' losing streak to 147 matches.

Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel deliver "Mizmas cheer" to Goldust with a Mizmas carol, and give him a copy of Santa's Little Helper. When Titus Worldwide (Titus O'Neil, Apollo Crews, Dana Brooke) shows up, Goldust hands the movie to Titus, then scares the crap out of him.

Bray Wyatt is on the TitanTron. He says Sister Abigail always hated Christmas and how it gave everyone something to believe in, and how it currently reminds her of Matt Hardy, who he says is using the people for his personal gain. He tells the "woken warriors" to look around and realize they are surrounded by fireflies and by Sister Abigail. He then announces that he is here. When Bray Wyatt gets in the ring and the lights come back on, Bray is suddenly attacked by Matt Hardy, and quickly gets out of there. Matt Hardy then laughs maniacally in the center of the ring.

Sheamus and Cesaro are backstage, unhappy about the fact that they have to defend the Raw tag titles tonight. Sheamus gives Cesaro, appreciating him for being his tag team partner, even if General Manager Kurt Angle does not appreciate what they have done for him all year. A card is attached. As for the package itself, a Dean Ambrose action figure with a missing arm is inside. Cesaro returns the favor by giving Sheamus a gift. Inside Sheamus' present is a Seth Rollins figure. Sheamus plans to break it like he will the real Rollins. Cesaro says that is not all, and inside is also a Jason Jordan figurine. Sheamus doesn't want it, but Cesaro says neither Seth or Angle want him, either.
br /> The ring is set up for a Miracle on 34th Street Fight featuring wrestlers from the Cruiserweight Division, coming up next.

Samoa Joe beats Roman Reigns by disqualification after Roman Reigns shoves referee John Cone away as he takes the boots to Samoa Joe in the corner. After the match, Roman hits Joe with a Superman Punch, then fights him at ringside. Referees rush out as Roman is about to hit Joe with the steel steps, but Roman does it anyway. Roman then grabs a steel chair and aims for Joe's arm, but Joe runs away just in time.

He also tells Jason Jordan that everyone is top competition in the WWE. Jordan has no problems with tagging with Rollins, but when he says he makes a pretty good replacement for Dean Ambrose, Seth tells him he will never be Dean Ambrose. Jordan says that's okay, as he will be better.

Before the next match, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel announce that they have a Secret Santa match, and they will not know who their opponents are until they show up. Bo asks the crowd to join them in a Mizmas carol. The opponent ends up being Braun Strowman.

Braun Strowman beats The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) in a Secret Santa Match. After the match, Curtis Axel falls victim to a running powerslam just like Bo Dallas did. Bo and Axel then both eat another running powerslam each.

We look back to The 1-2-3 Kid's surprise win against Razor Ramon from May 17, 1993.

Alexa Bliss is in the ring. She wishes everyone a "merry Blissmas," then says she is giving everyone a Christmas gift: the gift of a goddess. She then takes the time to reflect, and says 2017 has been her year. She started it as SmackDown Women's Champion and plans to end it as Raw Women's Champion, and she has triumphed against every obstacle in her path. She punched through the glass ceiling, and says last week's Women's Royal Rumble Match announcement was moment of the year. She then tells all the women in the locker room as well as the fans "You're welcome," as everything leading up to the match is because of her, as she is the gift that keeps on giving and she will be watching to see who will win. Suddenly, Asuka shows up. Asuka tells Alexa Bliss she is entering the Women's Royal Rumble Match, and that she will win because nobody is ready for her. Strowman tells Angle he earned the opportunity to face Brock Lesnar, as he was the only one standing. Kane shows up, and says he has caused more destruction than anyone else in WWE for over 20 years. He says there is no way anyone is stepping in front of him, and while Lesnar's list of victims is impressive, it does not include him. He says he will get his chance at Royal Rumble unless Strowman is man enough to stop him. Angle has to stand between them, but all of a sudden, Paul Heyman shows up. Heyman states this discussion will not happen without Brock Lesnar present, and he introduces his client, who shows up. Kurt Angle wastes no time making the match a Triple Threat Match before getting out of the ring. Kane, Strowman and Lesnar then go at it all at once. Before the next match, Jason Jordan says he understands that he is not the guy Seth Rollins wants to see. He knows he wants Samoa Joe, but he wants him, too, and has wanted a match with him for the last two weeks. He is now done asking, and while he has nothing but respect for Seth, if he has a bone to pick with Samoa Joe, he will have to pick the bones when he is done. Seth says he respects Jordan and what he is trying to do, but before he can say much else, Samoa Joe shows up. Joe says they are making him feel like the belle of the ball and that all the boys want to dance with him. He has a solution to both of them wanting to get their hands on him: both men have a match, and the winner gets put to sleep by him. Rollins says the match is made, and he tells Joe to come on down here so he can beat him up while Jordan "looks for his daddy's approval somewhere else." Jordan responds by shoving him to the mat. This starts the match Joe has proposed. Samoa Joe sits at ringside as the match is made official.

He says it is all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and that is where he comes in. He wants to make sure the right people get hurt, and those people are Matt Hardy and his fans. The only way he will be overlooking Drew Gulak is when he stands over him after he beats him, looking forward to his match with Enzo.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore hypes up the match between Drew Gulak and Cedric Alexander, saying it will be better than the new Star Wars movie before handing his microphone to Gulak. Gulak considers himself a Jar Jar Binks, and says "Now that's a hero!" He says tonight is the biggest match of his life, and he owes it all to Enzo. Enzo reminds Neville that he never took part in the last hour of Raw as long as he had the Cruiserweight title, and says he is a star with merchandise sales and money that Neville cannot even touch. Enzo says Neville cannot even touch him when it comes to merchandise sales and money, and tells him to get out of the ring. Despite the no-contact clause, Neville attacks Enzo anyway in a fit of rage. Enzo tries to stumble away, but the rest of the Cruiserweight Division keeps him from getting away and moves him back towards Neville, who continues to beat the crap out of him. The rest of the Cruiserweight Division claps before Neville hits the Red Arrow.

After the show went off the air, Braun Strowman shows up, hits Enzo Amore with the running powerslam, then the entire Cruiserweight Division beats up Enzo.
