Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 22, 2019

WWE COO Triple H shows up to start tonight's show, and is soon joined by Seth Rollins. Rollins says it is surreal to be standing in the ring in his home state as Universal Champion after all that has happened not only two weeks ago, but also over the years. As the crowd chants "Welcome home" to Rollins, Triple H acknowledges that Rollins' WrestleMania plan became reality, and that the landscape has changed since then and the whole world is gunning for him. Rollins states that he is aware of that, especially because of Money In The Bank and his history with it, but that he will not let himself be taken unaware. Triple H tells him he should be focused on his next opponent, which will not be Brock Lesnar. Rollins asks what is next, and Triple H announces that everyone will find out tonight now that the best of the best are on Raw and are competing in two Triple Threat Match where the winners will face each other in the main event to face Rollins for the title at Money In The Bank. Suddenly, Samoa Joe shows up and states that he does what he wants when he wants and that he has arrived on Raw. He admits that Becky Lynch has an interesting concept of being double champion, and he is interested in Seth's Universal title. Rey Mysterio shows up and tells Joe he's not the only SmackDown Live star looking to make an impact, and that when all is said and done, he sees himself facing Rollins at Money In The Bank. Drew McIntyre then shows up and says he doesn't care what anyone thinks they deserve, as he has spent a year cleaning Raw up of dead weight and gotten zero title opportunity and it is now his time. He then says the only reason Rollins is Universal Champion is because Rollins got to Lesnar before him, and that he will fight his way to Rollins and beat him to become Universal Champion. The Miz then shows up and announces that he is back on Raw and that Rollins has something what they want. He says he has had a reboot thanks to Shane McMahon and feels he can beat a man worthy of the Universal title in a must-see match. Baron Corbin then shows up and says he is the most deserving man to challenge Rollins, saying that Rollins slayed a beast while he retired a legend, which nobody else in the ring has done. Then, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles shows up and asks Corbin if he ever shuts up and tells him that his face being as annoying as his voice. Styles then says that he will show why SmackDown Live was the house that he built, then give the people the Universal Championship match that they want. Rollins says he is ready, and that it does not matter who he faces at Money In The Bank, as he will burn it down.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles beats Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio with a powerbomb and Styles Clash to Rey on top of Joe to move on to tonight's main event for an opportunity at the WWE Universal Championship.

We see footage of John Cena as guest host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Before the next match, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce do not think highly of Naomi, and say that they have each other's backs before jokingly asking Naomi who has hers now that Bayley has been moved to SmackDown Live.

Naomi gets a surprise roll-up win on Billie Kay after stopping an interference attempt from Peyton Royce.

Baron Corbin beats The Miz and Drew McIntyre to face "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles in tonight's main event for an opportunity at the WWE Universal Championship after tossing Drew McIntyre out of the ring to pin The Miz after McIntyre hits Miz with a Claymore Kick.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, who says that it is the size of the fight in the dog and that he considers himself a bulldog who has more fight than Baron Corbin. He lists Corbin's accolades before listing some of his own, and says this is about picking a fight with the biggest bully in the yard and winning.

Sami Zayn shows up. He says that in the last few weeks, he has told the fans the truth about themselves and how they act and says that they have created a false narrative about him being a bitter person. Sami states that he is not bitter; he is a jubilant and happy person, and in the ten months he was away from WWE, he was having the happiest time of his life. We see Instagram pictures of Sami hiking in Switzerland, standing on fjords in Norway, relaxing on a beach in Mexico, and touring Scotland on the TitanTron, and Sami says that he was happy. When his return to WWE drew near, however, he started feeling unhappy and depressed, and he figured out that the fans were the reason why he did not look forward to it. Sami states that the fans have created a "toxic culture" that they have burdened everyone else but themselves with, and he holds the fans accountable for creating this "toxic culture." He then states that their toxic tribalism will not protect them from him and that he would rather be anywhere else but here, and says that if anyone has a problem with that, they should take a trip to Hell.

We get a video package for Cedric Alexander before the next match.

Cesaro beats Cedric Alexander in the latter's Raw debut after knocking him out of the air with a European uppercut.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso). They are happy to be on Raw and line everyone up to take them down. As they talk about the opposition, they are met by The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder). The Revival tells The Usos that they are in the "Revival Reformatory," then The Usos pretend to fall asleep before waking up and welcoming them to the Uso Penitentiary.

The Viking Experience (Ivar and Erik) - now renamed "The Viking Raiders" due to intense fan backlash following the initial renaming - decimate The Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado) before their match can even begin.

Backstage, Sarah Schrieber interviews Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. They admit that while The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) are powerful, but they are new. Meanwhile, they have been here a while and will not let anyone take the tag team gold that they have earned.

The Isley Family are the recipient of the Little Caesars Seat Upgrade.

Becky Lynch shows up. She says that there is something in the air tonight due to the Superstar Shake-Up, and while she doesn't mind being sucker punched - or doing the sucker punching - she does mind the woman throwing them. She also says she likes to slap bleach blondes who like to curry favors from management, and calls Lacey Evans a new face to an old approach. As she announces she is willing to face all comers and call out Alicia Fox, Lacey shows up. Lacey says she cannot understand why Becky Lynch allows her emotions to get the best of her, and chalks it up to Becky wanting to be the center of attention before telling her to stay in control, stop being a show-off and respect a lady with a Woman's Right. After Lacey proclaims that she will take both championships off Becky's waist, Becky calls Lacey "an absolute plank" who is getting on her last nerves and warns her not to confuse her happiness with contentment for she will dismantle her and go back to collecting on her debts.

Becky Lynch beats Alicia Fox with the Dis-arm-her, then Lacey Evans attacks Becky after the match.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Baron Corbin, who says that the one thing who will give him more satisfaction than proving the fans wrong is getting back at Seth Rollins for making his life miserable. He also exclaims that he is seeing through "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles.

We see a WWE.com interview where Bobby Roode - now with a handlebar mustache and going by "The Glorious" Robert Roode - calls Chad Gable "dead weight" and states that Ricochet reminds him of Gable.

"The Glorious" Robert Roode beats Ricochet.

We see a vignette called "Firefly Fun House" where Bray Wyatt is a children's show host who confesses that the evil part of himself is long dead and that he has a reminder of that part of himself: a cut-out of his former self that he cuts with a chainsaw. (For reasons unexplained, the segment is cut on the live Sky Sports airing in the UK.)

Next week: A Money In The Bank edition of A Moment Of Bliss where the participants of the men's and women's Money In The Bank Ladder Matches are revealed!

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles beats Baron Corbin to face Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship at Money In The Bank.

Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox) beat Apollo Crews and Bayley to advance to the finals of the Mixed Match Challenge Tournament after interference by The Singh Brothers (Samir and Sunil Singh) - who drag Alicia Fox out of the ring and out of a pinfall following a Bayley-To-Belly - pays off. The Singh Brothers receive Bayley-To-Bellys for their efforts, but Jinder boots Apollo Crews in the face and Alicia boots does the same to Bayley after she gets her back in the ring to get the win.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox). Jinder Mahal says he has seen this coming after training with The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh, and that he sees the two of them on vacation. Alicia says this has all happened because she is captain of the team. Asuka then shows up and says that she will win.

The Fabulous Truth (R-Truth and Carmella) beat Awe-Ska (Asuka and The Miz) to advance to the finals of the Mixed Match Challenge Tournament after Asuka turns on The Miz following miscommunication between Asuka and The Miz after Miz tosses Asuka into a superkick from Carmella. After an argument, Asuka turns on The Miz, hitting him with a flurry of punches and a few kicks before leaving The Miz high and dry.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 10, 2018

Seth Rollins is in the ring to start tonight's show. Rollins says "burn it down" will be his rallying cry when he puts the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Dean Ambrose, and that it will also be the theme for tonight. Instead of calling out Ambrose, however, he is here to spit some truth. He extends an invitation to General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin, saying it is time he heard some things as well as gotten a dose of reality. Corbin shows up, and tells Rollins that if he wants a conversation, then they can have it in private and that the door to his office is open to a Superstar of his caliber. Rollins refuses to buy this, and tells Corbin to shut up. He says that under Corbin's leadership, Raw has "sucked" and that it has sucked because of him puffing his chest out, abusing his power and ending careers. Rollins tells Corbin that what he has been doing has been wrong. Corbin says he is allowing Rollins to vent and that Rollins should watch what he says to him, but Rollins reminds him that the locker room is the most talented there is and that Corbin has no idea how to utilize it. He mentions that The Revival is deserving of better, and that some of the segments leave something to be desired, and also says that Corbin is just masking his insecurities at this point. He questions if Brawn Strowman hurt his feelings so badly that he decided to award the Universal Championship back to Brock Lesnar, who never wants to show up and has not wrestled on Raw in 16 years. Rollins concludes that "the Baron Corbin experience" has been an abject failure, as support and morale from both fans and the locker room as well as the ratings are all at an all-time low because of him. Corbin says he appreciates the feedback, but tells him to put it in writing so he can file it under "I don't give a damn," as he does not care what anybody thinks. He says that Raw is his show, and if Rollins doesn't like it, that's too bad. He says that if things are bad now, they will be worse for someone like Rollins. Rollins says it can't possibly be worse, but Corbin says Ambrose will win while he will win his own TLC Match by forfeit to become permanent General Manager. After that, he will put Rollins through hell until the day he quits, and Rollins proposes that he start tonight when they go one-on-one in the ring. Rollins then realizes that's not good enough, and decides to make their match a TLC Match. Corbin asks Rollins what he will do to him in a TLC Match, and says it will be the end of him, but Rollins considers it a tune-up match for Ambrose. Corbin says if Rollins wants to be a hero, it will cost him everything. He then says he will make an example out of Rollins for the rest of the locker room before declining. As Corbin talks about his responsibilities, Rollins keeps calling him a coward, and the egging on works as Corbin is forced to accept. Corbin then abuses his power to make the match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Backstage, Dasha Fuentes interviews Seth Rollins, who admits that while calling out General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin was not the smartest move, he has to be a locker room leader and take a stand against him. He says that he must take a stand to be a real champion otherwise, he is not worthy of the Intercontinental title.

Bobby Roode and Chad Gable beat AOP (Akam, Rezar, Drake Maverick) in a 3-on-2 handicap match to win the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships after Roode scores a crucifix pin on a showboating Drake Maverick.

Backstage, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable are interviewed by Charly Caruso. Roode says there hasn't been much reason for hope lately, but he and Gable knew if they put in the work, they would be champions. At the same time, if someone told them they would win gold tonight, they would have thought that person was crazy. Nevertheless, Gable says he feels glorious.

Natalya is in the ring. Normally, she has a huge smile on her face, but she wants to get something off her chest and that something is about Ruby Riott. Natalya says she loves the business, but that Ruby Riott does not respect anyone or anything in the business. She says Ruby made it personal between them, and says that she had to overcome much to enter the WWE. She brings up the Montreal Screwjob and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart punching WWF chairman Vince McMahon in the face, and says she had to overcome all that and more to get here, and she is proud to be Hart family and to be in the WWE. This Sunday, she will teach Ruby Riott respect as she dedicates the match to her father, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. Natalya tears up afterwards, and says it will take everything she has and drive her through a table and that there is nothing Ruby can do about it. The Ruby Riott then shows up with a table underneath a black cloth, then Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan leave before Ruby makes fun of Natalya. She says Natalya just feels sorry for herself, and says what Natalya needs is a good counselor. She then says that Natalya does not represent her family; instead, she disgraces them. She then announces she has a gift for her that will keep on giving: a table with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart printed on it. Ruby says Natalya and The Anvil were close, but this Sunday, they will be even closer than ever when she puts her through the table.

We hear from Dolph Ziggler, who says that he plucked Drew McIntyre from obscurity and that maybe he should send him back. He says is neither the good guy or the bad guy; he is Dolph Ziggler. He says that he does not want or need Finn Balor, and while Drew should have pretended he was Balor, he is Dolph Ziggler.

Before the next match, Charly Caruso interviews Drew McIntyre, who says that nobody stays undefeated forever, not even himself. However, he is no less dangerous, as he beat Finn Balor up so badly he isn't here tonight and that he will beat him for good at TLC. He says that people listen when he speaks before proclaiming that he will make Raw a better place for all, and even if people do not like him, they will respect him. Drew also says he does not care what kind of guy Dolph Ziggler is, as he is the guy who is about to get his head kicked off.

Drew McIntyre beats Dolph Ziggler after Ziggler nearly wins on a desperation Zig Zag. After the match, McIntyre tosses Ziggler into the ring post before attacking him outside of the ring. Referees and officials separate both men, but McIntyre uses the calm afterwards to boot Ziggler's head into the LED board on the side of the ring.

Bayley beats Alicia Fox after Apollo Crews runs in and fends off Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers (Samir and Sunil Singh) alongside Sasha Banks after The Singh Brothers try to interfere. Before the match, it is announced that Apollo Crews will be teaming with Bayley tomorrow night on Mixed Match Challenge due to injuries Finn Balor suffered last week.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Dean Ambrose, who demands he not be called "The Lunatic Fringe" ever again and that Seth Rollins called himself "The Architect" to keep the attention on himself. He says that Rollins went into the ring tonight without a plan because he is a madman with a huge ego who always has to be "The Man," and if Rollins is still champion after tonight, he will take the title on Sunday and tell him what he really thinks of him to his face. When asked what Roman Reigns would think of this, Ambrose simply says "Who cares?" After a video package that shows Rollins and Ambrose's reactions to Roman Reigns' leukemia announcement and well as what happened between him and Rollins afterwards, Ambrose is unmoved as he walks away.

Elias is in the ring. He plays guitar, and says that in a radio interview from earlier today, Bobby Lashley said he would take every sports team in the city and move it somewhere cooler like Los Angeles. He says that if it were up to San Diego, California, they would not let Bobby Lashley perform here, and that he would rather perform in the Gas Light District instead of in front of "L.A. trash." Elias says he considers himself a pretty good guy, and while hitting kids with guitars is not on the top of his list, last week was a pretty good exception. Tonight, he will teach Lio Rush a lesson he should have learned a long time ago. He then performs a song where he proceeds to make fun of Bobby Lashley, which is interrupted by Lio Rush and Lashley. After the commercial break, it is revealed that the referee for this match is Heath Slater.

Lio Rush beats Elias after Lashley intimidates referee Heath Slater into not disqualifying Rush before smacking Elias with his own guitar.

The Mendez Family are the recipients of tonight's Cricket Wireless Seat Upgrade.

Backstage, General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin tells Heath Slater he did a good job, to stop worrying about Rhyno and that he has another match to referee tonight.

Alexa Bliss shows up, followed by Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka. Nia takes the microphone and states that this Sunday, she will become the Raw Women's Champion at the direct expense of "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. She says that UFC has done a number on Ronda's logic, and if she had any sense, she would lay the title at her feet to avoid the beating and humiliation coming her way at TLC. Nia says she realizes that Ronda comes from a world where one talks trash to hype fight, but she is a six-foot-tall Samoan woman, Ronda's worst nightmare and "the embodiment of the anti-Rousey." She then says that her fist - which broke Becky Lynch's face with one punch - is the secret to that, and when the bell rings and Ronda comes for her, he will punch her in the face and do it over and over again until she taps out just to stop her. Nia says she is not just the most imposing force in WWE history, she is also a strategist. She knows that Ronda has held multiple championships, and if Ronda manages to avoid her punch and grab her arm, she will open her first, pry Ronda off her and break her face. She then says she will hold the Raw Women's Title after erasing the myth of Ronda Rousey on Sunday. Suddenly, Ronda shows up and says she did not come here to hit poses and talk fighting; she came to fight. Ronda charges the ring, and Alexa, Nia and Tamina retreat. Tamina and Nia are about to surround Ronda when Ember Moon shows up to even the odds.

Ember Moon beats Tamina after "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey stops Nia Jax from interfering in the match.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin. Corbin says he simply accepted Rollins' challenge, and saying that if he didn't, he would have deprived the fans of some TLC action. He says that Braun Strowman is a one-armed man because of him, and while it may be his first TLC match, it will be a taste for Rollins, who will experience more when he becomes permanent General Manager. He then says that the locker room has no choice but to "All hail Baron Corbin."

It is announced that Elias vs. Bobby Lashley at TLC will be a Ladder Match with a guitar hanging above the ring, and the first person to grab the guitar will be allowed to use it as a weapon.

Heath Slater is the referee for the next match.

We see yet another vignette for Lars Sullivan.

Seth Rollins retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Baron Corbin in a TLC Match despite interference from referee Heath Slater, who attempts and fails to help Corbin win the title after toppling the ladder while Rollins is climbing it. After the match, Dean Ambrose shows up and stares down with Seth Rollins from the ramp.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 3, 2018

The show begins with a ten-bell salute for former United States President George H.W. Bush, who passed away last weekend.

"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey and Natalya vs. Nia Jax and Tamina ends before it begins when The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan) show up. Nia Jax and Tamina hit superkicks before the bell rings, then The Riott Squad beat on Natalya. Nia and Tamina intercept Ronda before she can get to Natalya, who is superkicked into a double-team powerbomb into a table by The Riott Squad. Referees and Ronda Rousey check on Natalya afterwards.

Backstage, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey calls for help for Natalya. A trainer shows up.

Alexa Bliss shows up. She talks about how Baron Corbin picked her to oversee the Raw Women's Division last week, and she promises to work hard every week to give the best the division has to offer. Alexa admits last week's open forum with Sasha Banks and Bayley didn't go according to plan, and decides to try it again by introduces Sasha and Bayley again. Once again, Alexa says that once again, there is no limit to what can be asked. Bayley brings up the attack from last week, and Alexa says she has reprimanded Alicia Fox, Mickie James and Dana Brooke for it. A man in the front row asks Sasha and Bayley how both women feel about social media rumors that Sasha is using Bayley. Sasha responds with some sarcasm before saying she and Bayley will be tag team partners for life. Someone else asks who Sasha and Bayley would face if they would face anybody from any era. Sasha and Bayley immediately respond with Trish Stratus and Lita at WrestleMania. Yet another person asks Sasha and Bayley what kind of superpower they would have. Bayley wants to make things disappear, starting with Alexa Bliss. Alexa is not amused. Sasha says she agrees with Bayley. Another person asks Sasha and Bayley what changes they will bring to the Raw Women's Division in 2019. Bayley says that they want to be "the first WWE Women's Tag Team Champions." Suddenly, Dana Brooke, Mickie James and Alicia Fox show up, and Alexa Bliss stops them. Alexa then makes a tag team match between Sasha and Bayley and the team of Mickie James and Alicia Fox.

Sasha Banks and Bayley beat Mickie James and Alicia Fox.

Country music artist Morgan Wallen, who will star on Tribute To The Troops (and whose nameplate on the screen reads "Morgan Waller"), is in the crowd tonight.

Backstage, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey confronts Alexa Bliss for The Riott Squad's (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan) attack. Alexa says she has sent The Riott Squad home, but Ronda still wants to fight Nia Jax and Tamina. Alexa tries to calm Ronda down and find her a tag team partner, but Ronda says Alexa has no conscience and will find a tag team partner herself.

We see a video package that puts General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin on a pedestal.

Backstage, General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin is met by Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, who wants a rematch with AOP (Akam and Rezar) for the Raw Tag Team Championships. Roode also wants to get his hands on Drake Maverick after last week. Baron Corbin tells them they'll have their rematch if Bobby Roode wins his match against Drake Maverick tonight, and also mentions that AOP and Chad Gable are banned from ringside during this match.

Before the next match, Scott Dawson says they have a failure to communicate with The Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado) and that something is lost in translation, and says The Lucha House Party don't respect tag team wrestling. He says that if they can't respect their lessons in tag team wrestling, he will have to teach them a wrestling in a one-on-one match. It is then announced that this match will be contested under Lucha House Party rules, effectively making this match 3-on-1.

The Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado) beat Scott Dawson.

Backstage, General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin is handed a box. Corbin opens the box and likes what is inside, then tells the person who handed him the box to get everything ready for Drew McIntyre Appreciation Night.

General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin is in the ring. He says that he will become permanent General Manager in two weeks when he beats Braun Strowman by forfeit, and admits it has been quite a journey to this point. He says that he is living proof that you can achieve anything when you are born better than everyone else, and while he had a few thorns in his side, his journey has been pain-free thanks to one man, and declares tonight "Drew McIntyre Appreciation Night." After a video package of Drew McIntyre is shown, Corbin then introduces McIntyre into the ring. Corbin produces the box from earlier as he thanks McIntyre for his hard work and unwavering support, and says he is on the right side of history. He commemorates this with Raw's Gold Medal of Excellence, saying Raw needs a new gold medalist. McIntyre thanks Corbin, saying this means the world to him. He states that he did what others were not strong enough to do: stamp out weakness and eliminate complacency, as Superstars had no fire in their eyes and no desire to reach the top. This is why he decided to reform Raw in his image: the home of the strong, the mighty and the desire to give 150% every night in the ring. McIntyre then focuses on Finn Balor, saying that he is nothing more than a boy in a man's world, and at TLC, he will hurt him and break his spirit. Suddenly, Dolph Ziggler shows up. Ziggler tells McIntyre that they had an alliance, and mentions that he was not in the video package from earlier at all and that he wasn't invited. McIntyre tells Dolph he was never invited, as he does not meet the height requirement and that he was the whole package. He says that their business arrangement does not work for him anymore, and for succeeding at bringing him into a prominent position, he thanks him and tells him to leave. Dolph refuses to leave, and Drew decides his thanks aren't good for him, saying Dolph should be kissing his feet for his help in making him relevant for the first time in ten years. Dolph then fights McIntyre and hits the Zig Zag. Corbin tells Ziggler he will not ruin Drew McIntyre Appreciation Night, and if he wants a fight, he's got one right now.

Dolph Ziggler beats Drew McIntyre. During the match, McIntyre gets on the microphone and says that he has a soft spot for Ziggler, and decides to pretend he is Finn Balor before smacking him into both the guardrail and the ring apron. Shortly afterwards, Finn Balor shows up and watches from ringside, and he helps Ziggler get the win by sending McIntyre into the barricade.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Drew McIntyre, who says that Dolph Ziggler was just an asset, but is now an enemy. He says that Dolph knows how dangerous he can be after attaching to him like a parasite, and he will crash down on him like a mountain. As for Finn Balor, he is a marked man.

Elias is in the ring. He plays on his guitar, then says he has been searching for Bobby Lashley all day so he can wrap a guitar around his head. He says Lashley is hiding because he knows he will find out at TLC that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias." Elias then performs a song, but is soon interrupted by Lio Rush, who shows up on the stage with Bobby Lashley. Lio says that the spotlight belongs to Lashley tonight after Elias saw and felt Lashley's power last week, and he will feel it again at TLC. Lio proceeds to put Lashley's physique on a pedestal, and Elias finally has enough. He rushes at Lashley with his guitar, which starts a brawl between the two men. Elias chases Lio off the stage before chasing Lashley to the back. Suddenly, Lio Rush is back on the stage, and Elias smashes his guitar into Lio's back. Finn Balor is then seen, and it is revealed that Finn tossed Lio Rush back onto the stage.

Backstage, General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin is met by Jinder Mahal, who tells him that he has done a great job with Raw and that he will beat Braun Strowman at TLC. He asks to take care of Finn Balor for him, and Corbin says that is a great idea. After Jinder and The Singh Brothers leave, Heath Slater and Rhyno show up. Corbin tells them there is only enough room on Raw for one of them, and allows one of them to quit to allow the other guy to keep their job. Neither man can figure out, and Corbin puts them in a match against each other where the winner stays on Raw and the loser is gone.

We look back at the very first TLC Match for the WWF Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam 2000, courtesy of Just For Men Mustache & Beard.

AOP (Akam and Rezar) and Drake Maverick beat Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. The match is initially Bobby Roode vs. Drake Maverick, but during the match, AOP (Akam and Rezar) is seen backstage attacking Chad Gable. General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin runs in and tells them that they are in the match, effectively making it a 3-on-1 handicap match. Chad Gable then shows up, but he falls victim to the Super Collider just before Maverick tags in to win the match for himself and AOP.

John Cena is the winner of the Sports Illustrated Muhammad Ali Legacy Award for his work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Six men in SWAT gear and gas masks walk halfway down the ramp before Dean Ambrose - wearing a gas mask of his own - shows up as sirens play during his entrance music. The men in the riot gear then surround the ring before he gets in it. Ambrose apologizes for his drastic actions, and says he needs them to protect him for the people and the diseases they are carrying as well as to protect him from Seth Rollins. He talks about Rollins' attack on him last week, and admits he said some things to trigger Rollins, saying it was easy to rile him up before claiming Seth is needy just like the fans. He asks the fans if they have any idea what it is like to live with somebody who has to be in control and always has to be right and have their way, and says if they had any guts, they would slap that person in the mouth. Ambrose goes on to say the fans have weak character, as does Rollins, and says The Shield used to be something to be proud of before Rollins and Roman Reigns started caring about being role models to the fans. The fans chant that they want Roman, but Ambrose tells them that life sucks and that they don't always get they want. He says that Rollins and Roman have sold out, but he has not, and he still has his integrity. Ambrose then says he is guilty of trusting people, but no more, and he stands in the ring as the true compass of WWE. He then tells Rollins that at TLC, he will drop the ball and he will lose control of himself, his emotions, the situation and the Intercontinental title. Once that happens, it will fall safely into his hands. After this, Seth Rollins shows up, and Ambrose sends his riot squad into the stage. Rollins shows up from the stands and tosses Ambrose out of the ring before fending off the riot squad. Ambrose escapes through the crowd, but Rollins catches up with him and the two men have a brawl before Ambrose hits him with a gas mask at ringside. The brawl ends with Ambrose hitting Dirty Deeds at ringside before the riot squad put Rollins back in the ring so he can hit it again.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Nia Jax and Tamina. It is announced that "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey will be teaming up with Ember Moon. Nia says that it is a shame, as she hopes Charly would be Ronda's partner, saying Ronda having a partner is ridiculous. Nia says Ronda picked Ember because of their attacks on her, and that they attack Ember from behind so they don't have to see her face. Tonight, they will have to, and they will have to rearrange her appearance like she did Becky Lynch. They will then isolate Ronda Rousey before torturing on what will be Nia Jax's historic path to reclaiming what is hers: the Raw Women's Championship.

Heath Slater beats Rhyno. As per pre-match stipulation, Heath Slater stays on Raw while Rhyno is fired.

Backstage, Heath Slater is thanked backstage by General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin, who tells him that his days as a wrestler are over before handing him a referee's shirt and telling him he is staying on Raw as a referee.

Finn Balor beats Jinder Mahal after Apollo Crews beats up The Singh Brothers (Sumil and Samir Singh) for getting involved.

We see a vignette for Lars Sullivan.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Finn Balor, who is quickly attacked by Drew McIntyre before referees show up to pull McIntyre off of him. McIntyre backs off, then pounds on Finn Balor again, and this time, a backstage official and another referee keep McIntyre away.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 27, 2018

Roman Reigns shows up to start tonight's show. Roman said he told Braun Strowman he would meet him at the start of the show, and he did not win the Universal Championship to hold it; instead, he is here to defend. If Braun doesn't show up, then this match will be the "Shield Workhorse Open Challenge." It doesn't take long for Braun Strowman to arrive, and he laughs at the term "workhorse" after Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins saved him last week. Roman says The Shield is a brotherhood of workhorse, and that nobody tells them what to do. He says they made their choice and know what it's like at the top of the mountain while Braun has no clue, and that while Braun's hands have lifted objects, his hands have lifted every title in WWE. He then tells Braun to step up and have their title fight tonight. Braun says he isn't cashing in tonight, because they and everyone knows that if he did, Ambrose and Rollins would try to save Roman again. Instead, he makes a deal: he will not cash in until September 16th, and all Roman has to do is show up for a Hell In A Cell Match, a place where they have never been before. Roman says that Braun is starting to sound like a monster, and offers his hand. Braun and Roman shake hands, then Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre show up. Ziggler complains about losing the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Seth Rollins after help from Dean Ambrose, saying the title was stolen from him. He says Seth has been playing catch-up since day one, and when he invokes his rematch clause, it will be on his terms as he and McIntyre will prove themselves to the entire world. McIntyre then says Strowman and Roman are a different story. Ziggler says he and McIntyre need a new challenge, and they're it. McIntyre mentions that Strowman and Roman sit at the top of the red brand mountain, but as they sit at the top, the only way to go is "tumblin' on down." Ziggler says they'd be more than happy to have that happen for them tonight. Roman says they sound tough from the stage, but they can get in the ring if they want to do it right now. Suddenly, Acting General Manager Baron Corbin shows up. Corbin tells everyone to settle down, and says this is why Commissioner Stephanie McMahon made him Acting General Manager. He announces Strowman's cash-in at Hell In A Cell is approved. He then makes a match that nobody could have dreamed up and will take Raw to the next level: McIntyre and Ziggler vs. Strowman and Roman. Strowman tells Roman that at Hell In A Cell, he is taking the Universal title, but tonight, Ziggler and McIntyre will get these hands. After everyone else leaves, Baron Corbin brags that he is an improvement over Kurt Angle as a General Manager, and for his third match, he makes one Angle didn't have the guts to make: himself vs. Finn Balor, the man. He says that he has prepared for this match for the last week while Finn Balor has just found out, and that match is next. Balor eventually shows up after Corbin keeps calling him out.

Finn Balor beats Baron Corbin by disqualification after Corbin uses a steel chair as a weapon...almost. After the match, Corbin says he forgot to make this match a no-disqualification match, and restarts the match as such. He hits Finn in the back with a steel chair, then hits End of Days to get the win.

Backstage, Dean Ambrose is met by Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh. Jinder says he has sensed a great anger in him since his return and that he can guide him to spirituality instead of brutality. As he tries to guide Dean to inner peace, he asks Dean what he sees. Dean says he sees himself kicking Jinder in the teeth and breaking his face and his ribs before Jinder cries in pain. He then tells Jinder to get out of his face.

Seth Rollins shows up. Seth says that lat week was about taking care of some family business, and says The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Rollins, Roman Reigns) prides themselves on being workhorses and fighting champion. This week is Intercontinental Championship business, but since Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, his dance card is wide open. He then issues an open challenge for the WWE Intercontinental Championship for anyone in the locker room who has the guts. The challenge is answered by Kevin Owens. Owens says he is so glad that Rollins is happy, but since he himself has come back to Raw, his life has been a living hell. He has wished to come back after being moved to SmackDown Live, but since then, things have not been good. He says that Rollins had a good SummerSlam only had his best friend by his side, and says that if he had his friend by his side, he would have beaten Braun Strowman and become WWE Universal Champion right here, right now. Unfortunately, Sami Zayn has been injured at the hands of a brute, and tonight, his awful summer will come to an end when he leaves with the WWE Intercontinental Championship tonight. He then says Montreal, Quebec, Canada would be a better place to win than in Toronto, Ontario, Canada before speaking French, then tells Rollins he is taking his title right now.

Seth Rollins retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Kevin Owens after Owens misses big on a top rope moonsault.

Backstage, Acting General Manager Baron Corbin is met by Braun Strowman. He hands the Money In The Bank contract to him, and tells him to bring it to Hell In A Cell.

McIntyre says Roman and Strowman not as kings of the jungle, but as small wounded animals ready for slaughter.

The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) beat The B-Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) after an accidental inside cradle reversal fails. After the match, The Revival hits Bo Dallas with a Shatter Machine as he checks on Curtis Axel. They then take the Raw tag team titles into the ring. Dawson says over the last few months, the tag team division has been a joke due to the B-Team. Wilder says they are tired of The B-Team making a mockery of the history of tag team wrestling. Dawson tells The B-Team to hold on to the tag team titles, as they just proved they can take the titles away from them any time they want to.

It is announced that SummerSlam 2019 will take place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Elias is in the ring. Elias plays guitar for the Toronto, Ontario, Crowd, then says everyone is gathered to see who wants to walk with him. He then says the fans will be tested and times will be tough, but as long as they do not stray from the universal truth that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias," they will be okay. Suddenly, Elias has an epiphany, and says that when Drake sang about staring from the bottom, he said that Toronto, Ontario, Canada was the bottom and there is no city lower than it. He says that he has been told that there is no bigger disappointment in life than going from New York City to Toronto, then all of a sudden, Trish Stratus shows up. Elias says things have changed since she left and that he is kind of a big deal, and while Trish is a big fan of his music, she wants him to silence his cellphone, turn off his camera and shut his mouth if he is going to badmouth Toronto. Elias says one of his performances is like the Stanley Cup as Toronto will never see it in their lifetime. Trish says that Elias will never win the WWE Championship in his lifetime. Trish then admits that after she retired and took her place in the WWE Hall of Fame, she never imagined that we would be less than two months from an all-women's WWE pay-per-view and that she would face Alexa Bliss in it. Elias hopes it will be a "swimsuit model pillow fight," but Trish tells him to pack up his guitar, take his floral kimono and scarves and walk up the ramp to the back. Elias says Trish is only here because she wants to walk with him just like thousands of other women, then breaks it to her that he "doesn't date women in their 60s." Trish slaps him for that, then "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey shows up. Natalya soon joins her on the stage, and they both head to the ring for the next match.

Before the next match, Alexa Bliss makes fun of Natalya, Trish Stratus and "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. She compiments Trish Stratus on the yoga program before telling her all the yoga won't save her from the beatdown she will give her at Evolution. As for Rousey, she failed to break her arm so that she couldn't face her again, and she is not only medically cleared, she is invoking her rematch clause at Hell In A Cell. Alexa tells Ronda to enjoy the moment, because she is taking the Raw Women's title back. As for Natalya, they have a friend that she and Trish know all too well: Mickie James, who joins Alexa and Alicia on the way to the ring.

Natalya beats Alicia Fox with the Sharpshooter after Trish Stratus and "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey force Alexa Bliss and Mickie James to run away through the crowd. After the match, Natalya pays tribute to her late father Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart before she, Trish and Ronda celebrate in the ring.

Corbin brags about beating Finn Balor, but Lashley calls him out for changing the rules on the fly before asking why he was brought in. Corbin says he does not want to be forgotten, and says he has a match right now. As for his opponent, Corbin doesn't know who it is.

Before the next match, Acting General Manager Baron Corbin shows up on the TitanTron and finally remembers the name of Lashley's opponent...or rather, opponents, as it is a 2-on-1 handicap match against The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor).

Dean Ambrose beats Jinder Mahal.

Roman Reigns is met by Braun Strowman in the locker room. After the match, Strowman grabs Roman Reigns and beats him up, then directs traffic and has Ziggler and McIntyre go to town on Roman. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins run in to make the save for Roman, but they are both easily overpowered. All three members of The Shield (Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns) fall victim to running powerslams from Strowman before Strowman, Ziggler and McIntyre celebrate to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 6, 2018

General Manager Kurt Angle and Constable Baron Corbin show up to start tonight's show. Angle welcomes everyone to the show, and announces that tonight will be a historic night as "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey will be making her Raw debut, which she has no problem doing. Angle says Ronda does not whine or complain, but win or lose, she will be a champion in her book. He wishes that he could say the same about Brock Lesnar. Corbin tells him to watch it, but Angle says Lesnar has no class after last week's actions. He announces that Paul Heyman's job in WWE is intact after producing Brock Lesnar and that he will be interviewed later tonight by Renee Young. Before he can say much more, however, Roman Reigns shows up. Roman tells Angle that he has a respect for him as General Manager, but tells him he should have known better. He says that if you kick The Big Dog out, nobody is able to protect the yard, and that is why Lesnar wiped the floor with him last week. Corbin smiles, and Roman calls him out for standing there while Angle took a beating and running after Lesnar looked at him. Angle says nobody from the top down liked what Lesnar did last week, and Roman gets the feeling that the SummerSlam match will be postponed. Angle says that will not be happening, as he made sure Lesnar did not get suspended and that the SummerSlam match for the WWE Universal Championship happens. He hopes that Roman kicks Lesnar's ass. Corbin calls Angle's words unprofessional, but before Corbin can say what Lesnar would do to Angle, Roman verbally confronts him again. Corbin says he was being the better man and that he was worn out from his match with Finn Balor. Corbin says he is doing everything around here and that there is not much else he could have done. Angle tells Corbin he could have acted like a man, but Corbin tells Angle he is not much of a man. Corbin says Stephanie McMahon is the Commissioner and that Angle just makes matches and can't be trusted. Angle says he is right, and says that he sees a match right here. He then asks a referee to show up, as Corbin will take on Roman right now. Corbin hits Roman with a cheap shot to the face, then tells Angle to get out of the ring. He then talks about his documentary. He says the documentary team tried their hardest but got it wrong, and he has a documentary team with him so he can get it done right and get it done his way. Before he plays, he asks the crew to switch position and focus the camera on his fingers, as this is where the magic happens. He then asks the camera crew to orbit around him as if he were the sun. He then says the audience are starting to become a problem, and asks the camera crew to blur their faces out or crop them out with a more attractive crowd to help him forget he is in Jacksonville, Florida. Elias is then showered with boos after that, and says that Bobby Lashley ruined everything last week and that it will not happen again this week. The camera crew begins to orbit around Elias as he plays guitar, but it is not long before Lashley shows up. Lashley says that once again, his name comes out of Elias' mouth, and once again, he appears. He says that he saw Elias' documentary and says it was an accurate depiction of him as well as some brilliant work, but Elias says it portrayed him as vain, egotistical and out of touch. Elias says he knows Lashley is out here to steal the spotlight from him, but it is not happening. He says he has been trying to steal the spotlight from him since his return, and says his comeback is a joke. Lashley fires back by telling Elias that everything about him is a joke, and the next time his name comes out of his mouth, what he will do him won't be. Elias asks the camera crew to head to the ring so they can film elsewhere so they won't be interrupted by somebody like Lashley, then checks the crew's notes before tossing them at Lashley and going for a cheap shot. Elias then proceeds to beat up Lashley, but Lashley fights back with a spinebuster before telling the camera crew to get back in the ring to shoot some footage of him hitting Elias with a delayed vertical suplex.

In the locker room, Seth Rollins is met by Tyler Breeze. Breeze offers his assistance as well as the nickname of "Crossfit Breeze-us." He says he thought he would live the rest of his life in pain after what Braun Strowman did to him at Extreme Rules, but this morning, he was able to wake up without pain and play with his children without aches in his body. Owens also says he and Jinder share something special, as they have both managed to beat Braun Strowman, despite the both of them doing it in entirely different ways. He says Braun tried to take everything from him at Extreme Rules, but at SummerSlam, he will take everything from Braun and become Mr. Money In The Bank. He plans to use the guaranteed title shot to take back the WWE Universal Championship. Owens admits he has never been the same since Extreme Rules, but he can feel the Universal title in his grasp again and he is so clear-headed that he proposes that Jinder take on Braun Strowman again. Owens then says Jinder has beaten Braun once, and that he can beat him again. Owens brings out Braun, but Braun does not show up. As Owens says that Braun wants none of them, the show's stage suddenly shifts on its own. Suddenly, the stages is toppled from under them, and Braun Strowman is seen behind the stage after he has completely toppled the stage over. This officially starts the rematch.

Roman says that the first time it happened at WrestleMania 31, everyone knew it was a war. Brock did not beat him then. At WrestleMania 34, Lesnar got the best of him. Roman says it is about dusting yourself off and trying again, and he did just that at Greatest Royal Rumble. Roman feels he come out on top regardless of the outcome. As for what Lesnar did and said at Raw last week, he says there is no leader when you have a champion like Lesnar, and says Lesnar disrespects everything and that this has to end. Roman says that if he wins the WWE Universal Championship, he will do what Lesnar does not do as well as what the fans have waited for for over a year: come out every night and defend the title to set a new standard. He says Lesnar has knocked down a lot of men, but he has not knocked down someone like him. Roman says he must continue to get back up if he wants to win.

Backstage, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are met by Constable Baron Corbin and General Manager Kurt Angle. As per Commissioner Stephanie McMahon, Roman is forbidden from tagging with Seth tonight after having faced him in a match. He then says that Lesnar will not like him talking about what is going between him and Lesnar in public, and that he is trying to get to the bottom of this as much as Renee is. He then says that he considers Lesnar and his family friends of his, as Lesnar never lets his family get close to anybody. Heyman breaks down emotionally, but he is still willing to answer questions. When asked who he has his eyes on as potential clients, Heyman says that this whole situation, much less this question, is inconceivable to him. When asked who will walk away with the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam, Heyman says he has known Lesnar for 16 years and has been through every up and down with him and has never seen Lesnar in a more focused, more prepared, more violent state. He says that Roman Reigns does not stand a chance.

She then says Rousey is not worthy of a title shot against her, but she will deal with her at SummerSlam. As Alexa tells Alicia not to let Rousey steal her thunder, Rousey arrives with Natalya.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 30, 2018

In memory of Nikolai Volkoff, 1947 - 2018.

In memory of Brian Christopher, 1972 - 2018.

The show begins with a shot of Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman backstage.

Roman Reigns shows up. Roman gives credit where credit is due and says that he respects Bobby Lashley after having gone to war with him, which is more than he can say for Brock Lesnar, whom he has zero respect for. He says that Lesnar never has time to come to work, but plenty of time to show up in the UFC, get in Daniel Cormier's face and run his mouth. He then says that Lesnar will not do to him what he did to Cormier. Suddenly, Paul Heyman shows up and says Lesnar has authorized him to offer his most profound congratulations for his victory against Lashley last week to face Lesnar at SummerSlam. However, from his personal perspective, he calls Roman's quest to beat Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship the dictionary definition of insanity, saying Roman should be in a padded cell rather than the SummerSlam main event. After Heyman says that Lesnar will put Roman down at SummerSlam and become a two-sport champion, Roman tells Heyman to shut up, as nobody cares what he has to say and everybody is here for Lesnar. Heyman announces that Lesnar is in the arena right now, and that he will come out of the locker room and to the ring if and only if he feels like it. He then says it is because everyone - including the music industry - knows that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias," and says he could have beaten Drake and went even higher on the charts, but he was interrupted by Bobby Lashley. He says that Lashley was in a hurry to lose to Roman Reigns last week, and says Miami, Florida is the same city that worships "a garbage musician like Pitbull" and "a low-life like The Rock." This leads to the fans chanting for The Rock. Elias says The Rock wants no part of him, and says he has written a song about the whole thing. Before he can play it, however, Lashley shows up. Lashley says he is a big fan of Elias, and since Elias said his name, he has decided to take a front row seat and hear whatever he has to say. Elias says he can see right through him and says he is out here not just to walk with him, but to sing with him. Lashley says he fights, not sings, and Elias is convinced Lashley wants to sing with him. He asks the crowd if they want to see this, then says that for one night only, Lashley will sing with him. He then says he will keep it "slow and simple" just like him, so he can keep up, and Lashley can come in whenever he feels it. Curtis Axel says people live to dream, but they dream to live, and they don't want to wake up. Bo then thanks the fans for their support, but when reminded about Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy, Curtis Axel mentions their post-match sneak attack. Bo says they are sore losers, and Axel says they can beat any team now that they are champions. Suddenly, the lights go in and out and Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt appear in the ring. Matt Hardy calls The B-Team's success "a cosmic anomaly," and that they have disturbed space and time. Bray says that dreams are fleeting, while nightmares are real, and that they are their nightmares manifested. Matt Hardy says they will haunt The B-Team until they are deleted, then The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) show up. Scott Dawson says he does understand what anybody has just said, and asks how everyone else in the ring is at the top of the tag team division while they are the ones to beat Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns in tag team competition. He tells everyone else to stand aside while The Revival handles business and gets stuff done. Bo Dallas then says they will step aside, but when he touches Bray, this starts a brawl between all three teams. After Heyman pleads with him to go to the ring, Lesnar grabs Heyman by the jacket and tells Heyman he is not his friend and that Heyman works for him, not the other way around. Lesnar then tells Heyman to march to the ring and do his job.

Next week: Bobby Roode vs. Mojo Rawley!

General Manager Kurt Angle and Constable Baron Corbin show up. Angle says he has given Paul Heyman until the end of the night to produce Brock Lesnar, and that he has had Roman Reigns removed from the building. He asks that he bring out Brock Lesnar, or tonight will be his last night on Raw. Heyman shows up, and is very melancholy as he introduces himself. He enters the ring as everyone sings "Na Na Hey Hey (The Goodbye Song)," then announces that Brock Lesnar is not coming out to the ring tonight. Angle tells Heyman that a real champion shows up, defends the title at any cost, and does good community works in WWE, and that Lesnar does none of this. He goes on to call Lesnar "the worst WWE Universal Champion of all time." Heyman says he will not argue with Angle, and says he tried to mold Lesnar into championship material as well as in Angle's own image, but Lesnar will not listen to him. He says that if he has any ramifications to take out, it should be on Lesnar, not him. Angle tells Heyman he is full of crap, but Heyman tells Angle that if he wants to do something, to do it to Lesnar, as he does not care. He says Lesnar has no respect for Angle, but he does. Angle tells Heyman his contract is now terminated, then Lesnar shows up, much to the glee of Heyman. Lesnar takes the microphone and asks Angle and Corbin if they have a problem with him before hitting Angle with an F5. Corbin leaves the ring as Heyman laughs at Angle, then hands the Universal Championship back to Lesnar. Heyman and Lesnar then look down at Angle, then Lesnar grabs Heyman by the jaw and forces him to the mat. Lesnar then heads to the back to end the show.
