Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 6, 2018

General Manager Kurt Angle and Constable Baron Corbin show up to start tonight's show. Angle welcomes everyone to the show, and announces that tonight will be a historic night as "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey will be making her Raw debut, which she has no problem doing. Angle says Ronda does not whine or complain, but win or lose, she will be a champion in her book. He wishes that he could say the same about Brock Lesnar. Corbin tells him to watch it, but Angle says Lesnar has no class after last week's actions. He announces that Paul Heyman's job in WWE is intact after producing Brock Lesnar and that he will be interviewed later tonight by Renee Young. Before he can say much more, however, Roman Reigns shows up. Roman tells Angle that he has a respect for him as General Manager, but tells him he should have known better. He says that if you kick The Big Dog out, nobody is able to protect the yard, and that is why Lesnar wiped the floor with him last week. Corbin smiles, and Roman calls him out for standing there while Angle took a beating and running after Lesnar looked at him. Angle says nobody from the top down liked what Lesnar did last week, and Roman gets the feeling that the SummerSlam match will be postponed. Angle says that will not be happening, as he made sure Lesnar did not get suspended and that the SummerSlam match for the WWE Universal Championship happens. He hopes that Roman kicks Lesnar's ass. Corbin calls Angle's words unprofessional, but before Corbin can say what Lesnar would do to Angle, Roman verbally confronts him again. Corbin says he was being the better man and that he was worn out from his match with Finn Balor. Corbin says he is doing everything around here and that there is not much else he could have done. Angle tells Corbin he could have acted like a man, but Corbin tells Angle he is not much of a man. Corbin says Stephanie McMahon is the Commissioner and that Angle just makes matches and can't be trusted. Angle says he is right, and says that he sees a match right here. He then asks a referee to show up, as Corbin will take on Roman right now. Corbin hits Roman with a cheap shot to the face, then tells Angle to get out of the ring. Corbin runs his mouth, but Roman hits a Superman Punch, starting this match out with a near-fall.

Roman Reigns beats Baron Corbin after Finn Balor keeps Corbin from retreating to the back, allowing Reigns to hit a Superman Punch from the steel steps followed by a Spear for the win. After the match, Finn Balor gets in the ring and hits Baron Corbin with a dropkick to the corner as Corbin gets up, then hits the Coup De Grace to get back at him after last week.

Backstage, General Manager Kurt Angle is met by Seth Rollins. Rollins wants to get the Intercontinental title, but every time he gets momentum against Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre gets involved. He wants to see what can be done, as he has to take care of both men. Angle tells Rollins to find a partner, as he will take on both Ziggler and McIntyre in a tag team match tonight.

Bobby Roode beats Mojo Rawley.

Backstage, Elias tells his camera crew that tonight will be great as they try to get everything ready, and tells them that as long as they do their job, it will be perfect. A camera and a boom mike is in position as Elias plays guitar.

Elias is in the ring. He plays guitar, then asks who wants to walk with him. He talks about his album and how it has changed lives on a daily basis as well as torn up the charts. He then talks about his documentary. He says the documentary team tried their hardest but got it wrong, and he has a documentary team with him so he can get it done right and get it done his way. Before he plays, he asks the crew to switch position and focus the camera on his fingers, as this is where the magic happens. He then asks the camera crew to orbit around him as if he were the sun. He then says the audience are starting to become a problem, and asks the camera crew to blur their faces out or crop them out with a more attractive crowd to help him forget he is in Jacksonville, Florida. Elias is then showered with boos after that, and says that Bobby Lashley ruined everything last week and that it will not happen again this week. The camera crew begins to orbit around Elias as he plays guitar, but it is not long before Lashley shows up. Lashley says that once again, his name comes out of Elias' mouth, and once again, he appears. He says that he saw Elias' documentary and says it was an accurate depiction of him as well as some brilliant work, but Elias says it portrayed him as vain, egotistical and out of touch. Elias says he knows Lashley is out here to steal the spotlight from him, but it is not happening. He says he has been trying to steal the spotlight from him since his return, and says his comeback is a joke. Lashley fires back by telling Elias that everything about him is a joke, and the next time his name comes out of his mouth, what he will do him won't be. Elias asks the camera crew to head to the ring so they can film elsewhere so they won't be interrupted by somebody like Lashley, then checks the crew's notes before tossing them at Lashley and going for a cheap shot. Elias then proceeds to beat up Lashley, but Lashley fights back with a spinebuster before telling the camera crew to get back in the ring to shoot some footage of him hitting Elias with a delayed vertical suplex.

In the locker room, Seth Rollins is met by Tyler Breeze. Breeze offers his assistance as well as the nickname of "Crossfit Breeze-us." Suddenly, Roman Reigns shows up as Breeze goes arms in traditional Shield fashion, and asks if Rollins is serious. Rollins says everyone wants to be a member, and Roman says he has his back tonight. Rollins then puts Breeze's arm down and leaves.

Rezar beats Titus O'Neil following the distraction by Akam.

Backstage, Kevin Owens goes over some notes with Jinder Mahal for the return of The Kevin Owens Show, which Mahal will guest on when it comes up next.

Kevin Owens is on the stage for The Kevin Owens Show. Tonight's special guests are Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh. Owens says he cannot thank him enough, as he was originally skeptical of his methods of finding inner peace, but he has never felt more relaxed and it is all thanks to him. He says he thought he would live the rest of his life in pain after what Braun Strowman did to him at Extreme Rules, but this morning, he was able to wake up without pain and play with his children without aches in his body. Owens also says he and Jinder share something special, as they have both managed to beat Braun Strowman, despite the both of them doing it in entirely different ways. He says Braun tried to take everything from him at Extreme Rules, but at SummerSlam, he will take everything from Braun and become Mr. Money In The Bank. He plans to use the guaranteed title shot to take back the WWE Universal Championship. Owens admits he has never been the same since Extreme Rules, but he can feel the Universal title in his grasp again and he is so clear-headed that he proposes that Jinder take on Braun Strowman again. Owens then says Jinder has beaten Braun once, and that he can beat him again. Owens brings out Braun, but Braun does not show up. As Owens says that Braun wants none of them, the show's stage suddenly shifts on its own. Suddenly, the stages is toppled from under them, and Braun Strowman is seen behind the stage after he has completely toppled the stage over. This officially starts the rematch.

Jinder Mahal vs. Braun Strowman ends in a double count-out after two failed attempts by Kevin Owens to steal the Money In The Bank Briefcase from Strowman. After the match, Strowman goes after Jinder, but Sunil Singh grabs the Money In The Bank Briefcase. Strowman goes after Sunil, who tosses the briefcase back to him only to get booted, and Jinder escapes through the crowd.

We see footage of Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns inducting an audience member in the front row into The Shield as an honorary member.

Constable Baron Corbin tells General Manager Kurt Angle that he has a phone call from Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. Angle takes the phone call and tells Stephanie "I'll take care of it."

We see a sit down interview between Corey Graves and Roman Reigns from earlier today. Roman says there is no shame in saying he lost to Brock Lesnar, but he has also beaten him up in the past. Roman says that the first time it happened at WrestleMania 31, everyone knew it was a war. Brock did not beat him then. At WrestleMania 34, Lesnar got the best of him. Roman says it is about dusting yourself off and trying again, and he did just that at Greatest Royal Rumble. Roman feels he come out on top regardless of the outcome. As for what Lesnar did and said at Raw last week, he says there is no leader when you have a champion like Lesnar, and says Lesnar disrespects everything and that this has to end. Roman says that if he wins the WWE Universal Championship, he will do what Lesnar does not do as well as what the fans have waited for for over a year: come out every night and defend the title to set a new standard. He says Lesnar has knocked down a lot of men, but he has not knocked down someone like him. Roman says he must continue to get back up if he wants to win.

Backstage, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are met by Constable Baron Corbin and General Manager Kurt Angle. As per Commissioner Stephanie McMahon, Roman is forbidden from tagging with Seth tonight after having faced him in a match. Roman says he is going out there anyway, but Corbin warns Roman that if he defies Stephanie's order, he will forfeit his match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Seth heads out alone, and Roman suddenly returns after leaving to ask Corbin if his ribs are all right. Corbin says "What?", then Roman punches him in the ribs and leaves.

Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre beat Seth Rollins after Ziggler superkicks Rollins and gets the pinfall victory despite the fact that McIntyre is the legal man.

The B-Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) vs. The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) ends in a no contest after the lights go out and Curtis Axel and Dash Wilder are suddenly replaced by Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt respectively when the lights come back on. The match ends with Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt wiping out both Bo Dallas and Scott Dawson.

Renee Young interviews Paul Heyman. Heyman has no idea where he and Brock Lesnar stand right now, and that Lesnar has cut off all contact with Heyman since last week. He then says that Lesnar will not like him talking about what is going between him and Lesnar in public, and that he is trying to get to the bottom of this as much as Renee is. He then says that he considers Lesnar and his family friends of his, as Lesnar never lets his family get close to anybody. Heyman breaks down emotionally, but he is still willing to answer questions. When asked who he has his eyes on as potential clients, Heyman says that this whole situation, much less this question, is inconceivable to him. When asked who will walk away with the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam, Heyman says he has known Lesnar for 16 years and has been through every up and down with him and has never seen Lesnar in a more focused, more prepared, more violent state. He says that Roman Reigns does not stand a chance.

The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan) beat Sasha Banks and Bayley after a black hooded figure pulls Liv Morgan out of the way of one of Bayley's moves. The hooded figure reveals themselves to be Ruby Riott, who has returned from injury, causing Sarah Logan to get the schoolgirl pin on a distracted Sasha Banks.

We see a video package chronicling the events leading to "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey's Raw debut.

Before the next match, Charly Caruso interviews Alexa Bliss. She says that she and Alicia Fox are bigger trailblazers than "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey, then tells Caruso to ask a better question. When asked what is is like to get in the ring with Rousey, Alicia says Rousey is banged up after last week and that this will be easy for her. Despite Rousey's accomplishment, she says that Rousey did not captain a Survivor Series team. Alexa then dismisses Charly Caruso, then says Alicia Fox is a trailblazer who paved the way for everyone else in the women's division and thanks her for her contribution. She then says Rousey is not worthy of a title shot against her, but she will deal with her at SummerSlam. As Alexa tells Alicia not to let Rousey steal her thunder, Rousey arrives with Natalya.

"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey beats Alicia Fox with an arm bar in her Raw debut. After the match, Charly Caruso interviews "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey, but Alexa Bliss tries to attack her from behind. The attack fails, and Ronda tells Alexa it doesn't matter how tightly she holds onto the Raw Women's title as it will be hers at SummerSlam.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 19, 2018

The crowd and the WWE Superstars pay a moment of silence and respect for the victims of the recent Parkland, Florida shootings and their families.

Charly Caruso interviews Roman Reigns before the next match. Roman says he is not concerned about tonight, but he is concerned about the Elimination Chamber, as he has never been in it before but he knows how brutal it can be. Roman knows he is going up against guys like John Cena, Seth Rollins, The Miz, Elias, Finn Balor and Braun Strowman on Sunday. Unlike him, however, they cannot beat Brock Lesnar, and it is his time and he can beat him. The crowd boos, but Roman reminds everyone to re-watch WrestleMania 31, as he could have beaten Lesnar that night.

This week on Mixed Match Challenge: Nia Jax and Apollo vs. Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode!

Braun Strowman beats Roman Reigns, John Cena, Seth Rollins, Elias, Finn Balor and The Miz in a Gauntlet Match that spans the first two hours of Raw, making it the longest match in Raw history at 106 minutes and 55 seconds (and breaking the previous record for the longest match in WWE history in August of 1964, when Bruno Sammartino defended the WWWF Championship against Waldo Von Erich for 81 minutes). Shortly after Elias gets into the match, Renee Young interviews John Cena, who says that Seth Rollins has the attributes to call himself "Mr. Monday Night," and appreciates his tenacity. Cena admits he is juggling multiple things at once, but at the same time, he needs to win on Sunday. When Seth Rollins is the third man eliminated, he leaves the ring with 65 minutes logged in the match - the longest anybody has wrestled in a match on Raw - and a standing ovation. After Seth Rollins is eliminated, he is interviewed by Renee Young backstage. Seth talks about how he pinned two of the best back-to-back in one night, but it does not mean anything if he does not win on Sunday. After Elias is eliminated, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel show up on the stage and head to the ring to distract Finn Balor, allowing The Miz to attack from behind. Some time after that, he is interviewed by Renee Young. Elias says he has the advantage Sunday, win against Seth Rollins and "five other Seth Rollins," then go to WrestleMania and show what "WWE" really stands for. Finn Balor is eliminated by The Miz with help from The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel), and when Renee Young interviews him, Balor says that while Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel helped Miz cheat, they will be locked out on Sunday while Miz is locked in with him and five other guys. He plans to win and go on to WrestleMania. When Braun shows up, he chases Miz into the crowd, grabs him and proceeds to slowly decimate him. After the match, Charly Caruso interviews Braun Strowman, who says he does not fear the unknown; instead, the unknown fears him. He says that like tonight, the Elimination Chamber will be the same, and he will come for Brock Lesnar. He tells Brock Lesnar that he is not finished with him, and at WrestleMania, Lesnar will get these hands. Strowman then tells Charly Caruso he has some unfinished business to attend to, and runs back into the ring, dragging Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel into the ring as they try to drag Miz out. Bo and Axel easily fall victim to running powerslams, then Braun Strowman chases Miz all the way to the back. Braun grabs Miz and tosses him back out onto the stage, down the ramp and into the ring for a running powerslam. Braun Strowman teases leaving the ring, then goes for another running powerslam on The Miz before leaving for real.

"Double J" Jeff Jarrett is the next inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

Before the next match can happen, Renee Young interviews Asuka. Asuka says she controls her own destiny, and that her destiny is to win the Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania. She says that Nia Jax's words are strong, but Nia Jax is not so strong after their last match when she was limping away from the ring. Asuka then says that Nia Jax likes to talk, but someday, she will not be talking; instead, she will be tapping out. Suddenly, Nia Jax tries to ambush Asuka, but Asuka senses her coming. Nevertheless, Nia Jax hits Asuka with a Samoan Drop followed by three leg drops to the neck.

We see a video package on "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey.

Apollo Crews and Titus O'Neil - the former now known as just "Apollo" - get another upset win against Sheamus and Cesaro after Apollo rolls Cesaro up.

Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt is official for Elimination Chamber.

Bray Wyatt is on the TitanTron. According to him, some say the end is near, but he holds the light not just for the people but for Matt Hardy. Meanwhile, Matt Hardy says he and Bray have engaged in battle since the dawn of time, but they have just begun. Both men say the other is a liar, and that they will destroy each other to the point that the other man will face reality.

Before the next match, we hear from Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville), who say that they will come out on top in the Elimination Chamber as the Chamber ruins the friendships of all the other women in the match.

Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mickie James beat Alexa Bliss and Absolution (Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville) with a Banks Statement to Alexa Bliss. After the match, both teams brawl, and Absolution make short work of Bayley before doing the same to Sasha before focusing on Alexa Bliss. Suddenly, Mickie James makes the save for Alexa, and she and Alexa both double-team on the signature Mickie James DDT on Sonya Deville.

She then introduces The Acolytes Protection Agency (Ron Simmons and JBL), who have protected a lot of people and made a lot of money. They reminisce about their most famous celebrity clients as well as getting people to knock on the door, and JBL proposes they re-open for one night. JBL then tells Ron he locked them out, and Ron finds out he does not have a key to the door, either. The show starts in the Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York, where we are welcomed by Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler. We then head to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, commentary is back at ringside for one night only.

Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and SmackDown Live Commissioner welcome everyone in the Barclays Center to the show. On behalf of the McMahon family, Shane thanks everyone who has stepped between the ropes for the last 25 years to make Raw the success that it is. He also thanks the unsung heroes - all the employees in the back - who make the show what it is. He also thanks the fans for making Raw a big success. We then see a video package of the last 25 years of Raw. Stephanie then thanks everyone for 25 years, and say they are just getting started. She then says we have one person to truly thank for all this and had the vision and determination to make it all possible: WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon shows up, and he is rained down with "Thank you, Vince!" chants. He does not normally pat himself on the back for his own achievements, and he does not smell the roses for long, but tonight, he will smell the roses, and they smell good. Before Vince leaves after telling everyone to enjoy the show, he is presented with a commemorative plaque for 25 years of Raw. Vince says the plaque feels a little cheap, "but then again, we are here in Brooklyn." Vince then says plaque is what each and every person has in their teeth and arteries, and he shows that he is not at all impressed with the commemorative plaque. He then says he has one person to thank in the entire world for this, and Vince is immediately called an "asshole" by the crowd for it. He thanks himself, as he was the only person who did it, but before he can go any further, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up and has a conversation with Vince. Stephanie gets out of the ring, but Vince and Shane stay in the ring. Vince tells Austin that he looks great, but that nature has not been as kind to him, and that he is a senior citizen, that Shane is in his prime and that Shane is so good he can fly from one side of the ring to the other. Austin responds by hitting Shane with a Stone Coldd Stunner. Vince says "I don't blame you; he had it coming" as he carries two Miller Lites in his hand. He offers one of the cans to Austin, then they toast. Vince drinks the beer, then hugs Austin. Austin raises Vince's hand, and they both hug. Vince stops. He has the feeling he is about to be hit with a Stone Cold Stunner. They toast one more time, then Vince eats a Stunner. Shane gets up and toasts with Austin, then Austin gives him

Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James and Asuka beat Nia Jax, Alicia Fox, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville with a Banks Statement to Alicia Fox. After the match, Asuka turns on her teammates and tosses the out of the ring Royal Rumble style.

We head to the Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York as we look back on The Undertaker's countless Raw moments.

At the Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York, The Undertaker returns. For the first time since WrestleMania, The Undertaker steps into a WWE ring. He says the carnage began on this sacred ground of evil 25 years ago. For 25 years, he has been digging holes, and any person who dared step foot into the dark side got buried. He has taken legends and ripped them off their pedestals, and thrown them into the cold, dark earth. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin answered to the Reaper, as did Mick Foley. Even his own flesh and blood Kane had to answer. He says they all tried, and they all failed. Now, on this sacred ground, he declares for all those who have fallen that it is truly time to rest in peace.

Backstage, Heath Slater and Rhyno are seeing playing poker with The Acolytes Protection Agency (Ron Simmons and JBL). Once again, JBL and Ron Simmons are as good at poker as ever. The Miz beats Roman Reigns to become the WWE Intercontinental Champion for the eighth time, making him the second man to do so after Chris Jericho. During the match, The Miz removes the turnbuckle pad in one corner as Roman fights off Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel at ringside, which the referee - who eventually tosses Bo and Axel out - is focused on at the time. Later on in the match, The Miz sends Roman Reigns into the exposed turnbuckle to win the title for the eighth time.

Jeff Hardy, MVP and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) are now in The Acolytes Protection Agency's (Ron Simmons and JBL) poker game.

Christian is now in the ring to host The Peep Show. Tonight's guests are Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins. It is announced that Edge cannot be here to prior obligations. Seth gets cheers when he speaks, but when Jason Jordan speaks, he gets booed out of the building. He calls it an honor to be in Christian's presence, then thanks General Manager Kurt Angle for making everything possible, and says that his father does not suck. Suddenly, Sheamus and Cesaro show up. Sheamus tells Jason Jordan to slow down, as he has it all wrong. He says all the legends have been wanting their autographs, as they do not set the bar, they are the bar. He also says the same legends and Superstars expect him and Cesaro to take back the Raw tag team titles, and thanked them in advance for doing so. Cesaro tells Jason that Angle doesn't suck; Jason sucks. Sheamus and Cesaro start a Kurt Angle-style "You suck" chant, but Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins fight them off. Jordan holds Cesaro back, but Cesaro dodges out of the way and Seth knees Jason in the face.

Charly Caruso interviews Alexa Bliss. Bliss says she is not just a champion; she is a goddess. Suddenly, Charlotte Flair shows up, and says the only reason Alexa is champion on Raw is because she is on SmackDown Live, and she doubts she will be champion after WrestleMania. She says Alexa does not have what it takes to be champion, and to be the woman, you've got to be the woman. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up and says Charlotte Flair will be champion forever.

We look back at Edge's career on Raw courtesy of Carl's Jr and Hardee's.

The top of the Empire State Building in New York City is lit in red tonight to celebrate 25 years of Raw.

Elias is now in the ring. He plays guitar, then asks who wants to walk with him. Elias says it took the WWE 25 years to find him, and after 25 years, they got it right. He then says that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias." He says Royal Rumble will be great, but tonight is full of celebrities, and he has a song just for the occasion. Elias threatens to leave before he can play the song after the crowd calls him a stupid idiot, but changes his mind after mentioning that Jimmy Fallon is in the front row. Elias makes fun of some WWE legends, including Chris Jericho and The Rock. When he makes fun of John Cena, saying that Cena is like Brooklyn, New York because neither of them have balls, however, Cena shows up. John Cena mentions Brooklyn has balls and points at a beach ball in the stands. It gets confiscated, then the security guard who does it gets called an asshole. Elias tells John Cena to shut up, as nobody wants to hear Cena and everybody came to hear him, and he ruined it. Cena tells Elias to do something about it. Elias tells Cena that is not how it works when Cena dares him to throw the first punch, and says he does not take orders from him or "any of these Brooklyn scumbags." Elias teases leaving the ring, but Cena and Elias go at it only for Cena to hit the moves of doom.Elias escapes the Attitude Adjustment, however, and hits Cena with a low blow. He then grabs his guitar and smashes it into Cena's back, then hits Drift Away.

The New Day are now in The Acolytes Protection Agency's (Ron Simmons and JBL) poker game. Heath Slater is accused of cheating by Dana Brooke, and cards fall out of his shirt. Heath wants to fight, but JBL tells him to take the fight to the back. "The Million dollar Man" Ted DiBiase wins it all with a Royal Flush, and Ron Simmons says "Damn!"

Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews vs. Heath Slater and Rhyno ends when the match gets out of control and the match is stopped. All of a sudden, The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) show up, wanting to take on both teams at oce. Both teams get out of the ring, but The Dudleys want to take on both teams at once. Heath Slater gets tossed into the ring by all three other men, and he falls victim to What's Up. The Dudleys then pull up a table, and nobody else from the match even stops them. Heath Slater then takes a Dudley Death Drop through the table.

Charly Caruso interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. Styles says he has arranged someone to do the interview with him, and that someone is revealed to be "Mean" Gene Okerlund. He will not let that happen, as he will hit them hard and fast.

At The Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York, D-Generation X re-unites. Triple H and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels make their way to the ring. Shawn says it's been 25 years, and people have asked him what his favorite Raw moment is. However, he cannot remember 25 minutes ago. He mentions moments that can't be mentioned on TV. Shawn then says he used to be the boss of DX, but now Triple H is the boss of everything and he can't do anything anymore. After Shawn plugs the WWE Network, Triple H talks about how it all started in the Manhattan Center 25 years ago. Triple H then says the fans lit the spark that created what is here now. 20 years ago, he and Shawn started DX, heading to the ring with "Ravishing" Rick Rude and Chyna, doing and saying whatever they wanted to. He says DX has always been at the forefront of this, whether it was driving a tank to WCW's door or being here for the 25th anniversary of Raw, they came here, because the Manhattan Center is home. He then says DX will be at the forefront for 25 more years, and says he and Shawn did not come alone. The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) then show up. After their classic entrance, they bring out X-Pac. The crowd chants "1-2-3!" He says this is a DX reunion, but they can't have a celebration without Razor Ramon, who shows up. After the commercial break, Razor Ramon says everyone knows you can't have a party on Raw without him. He has been watching the show from both locations, and he says everyone can agree that tonight is just too sweet. All of a sudden, Finn Balor, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson show up. Everyone "too sweets" each other, and as Billy Gunn is about to speak, The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) show up, as does a referee.

Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) beat The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder). After the match, Scott Dawson puts his hands on Razor Ramon. X-Pac hits Dawson with the X Factor, then "Road Dogg" Jesse James hits his trademark jabs before Billy Gunn hits him with the Fameasser. Wilder gets Sweet Chin Music followed by a Pedigree from "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and Triple H, respectively. Finn Balor then gets the coup de grace on Dash Wilder with the Coup De Grace, and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn says "If you're not down with that, we've got two words for you: suck it!"

Back at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, General Manager Kurt Angle shows up with a host of WWE Legends and Superstars. Angle talks about the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble. Braun Strowman is the first person to be brought out, followed by Kane and Brock Lesnar. Superstars begin to fill the ring as Kane makes his way to the ring, creating a human wall between Kane and Strowman. Paul Heyman then shows up to introduce Lesnar. Heyman says Lesnar is ready for a fight, not for a nostalgia trip, and tells the crowd that Lesnar is relevant. As Superstars empty the ring to head Lesnar off at the pass, Strowman and Kane go at it, and Lesnar makes his way to the ring. Lesnar takes Kane out with an F5, but Strowman tosses Lesnar around like he is a child. Strowman then breaks down the announce table and drives Lesnar through it with a running powerslam.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 15, 2018

Braun Strowman shows up to start tonight's show. Strowman tells the crowd a short story with a happy ending: a beast and a machine met a monster at Royal Rumble, and the last one standing was the Monster Among Men, and he became the Universal Champion. Suddenly, General Manager Kurt Angle shows up, flanked by a team of security guards. Angle tells Strowman he has a story that doesn't have a happy ending. He could have maimed Kane and Brock Lesnar, and he also destroyed thousands of dollars in equipment. Strowman says it could have been a lot worse. Angle says Strowman created an unsafe working environment, and he is responsible for everyone at the show. Strowman tells Angle to do his job, as he did his last week. Angle tells him things are settled in the ring, but Strowman says he does what he wants, when he wants and how he wants to do it, and he will do anything it takes to become WWE Universal Champion. Angle tells Strowman that he should be lucky that Kane and Brock Lesnar can still compete, then tells Strowman the match at Royal Rumble will not be a Triple Threat Match and that he will not be in it. Angle then proceeds to fire Braun Strowman, then heads towards the back. Strowman follows him, and the security guards follow Strowman.

Security guards try to escort Braun Strowman out of the building, but Strowman turns around and dares them to make him leave.

We look back on September 19, 2011, when Hugh Jackman guest starred and helped Zack Ryder beat Dolph Ziggler.

Security continues to escort Braun Strowman out of the building. When one of them puts his hand on Braun and tells him to leave, Braun attacks and eventually overpowers the security guards, with one of them getting Biel Tossed through a table. Strowman then yells "I'm not finished yet! I'm not leaving until everybody gets these hands!"

Braun Strowman finds General Manager Kurt Angle's office and kicks the door down. Nobody is inside, and he proceeds to trash the room.

Sasha Banks and Finn Balor will take on "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura and Natalya this week on WWE Mixed Match Challenge.

At catering, someone warns everyone that Braun Strowman is coming. Strowman shows up and wrecks catering, then grabs Curt Hawkins and choke slams him through a table before taking a slice of cake and eating it.

Enzo Amore and "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese shows up. Enzo agrees that Braun Strowman is a monster among men, but so is he. He may be walking into Royal Rumble battered and bruised, but he will walk out champion. If he is Frankenstein's monster, then Cedric Alexander is Dracula because he sucks. If Cedric wants a piece of him again, he'll have to get through his garlic in Tony Nese. Cedric Alexander then shows up and brings out Goldust. He confronts Enzo for comparing himself to Boris Karloff, and says if he was a movie, he'd go straight to DVD. Meanwhile, Cedric is a box office smash. He then says that when Cedric wins at Royal Rumble, only one word will describe him: champion. Cedric takes the microphone and calls Enzo "sawft."

Backstage, Braun Strowman's path of terror continues, as he nearly pushes a dumpster into two referees.

Cedric Alexander beats "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese. After the match, Enzo walks away from the ring and from Tony Nese.

General Manager Kurt Angle, flabbergasted at the damage Braun Strowman has done as he looks at his backstage office, is considering calling the cops when referee John Cone tells Angle that Strowman is approaching the production trucks - which are worth $12,000.

Backstage, Braun Strowman enters a production truck and gives everyone a hard time. He scares everyone out of a room, then leaves. Everyone heads back to their stations when the truck suddenly shakes. Braun Strowman has disengaged the tractor, then gets out of the truck and tries to topple it over. General Manager Kurt Angle shows up and tells him he called the cops. Braun leaves, but returns and topples the truck anyway. Strowman then screams in Angle's face and leaves again, and security begs for him to leave. The security guards try to reason with Braun Strowman, who turns around and warns them to get away. Strowman then heads to the stage. Strowman looks at the commentary table, and everyone at the table runs away. Michael Cole is not so lucky, and Strowman nabs him before carrying him like a child. Angle shows up with a bevy of security guards. He tells Strowman that he has called off the cops, and that Commissioner Stephanie McMahon has rehired him. He asks that Strowman let Cole go. Braun Strowman leaves, but notices Cole is still near him. Strowman grabs Cole, then Biel Tosses him off the stage and into the security guards.

The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) quickly beat two unnamed opponents. After the match, Scott Dawson asks Charly Caruso if she is sure they want to give The Revival a live microphone, then says what we just saw was tag team excellence. He says that has been missing from the back for quite some time. He says he and Dawson are students of the game, and all they are worried about are getting in holds and winning matches. As for what old school star they would like to meet next week, Dawson says there is nothing old-school about beer shots and crotch chops. He says those things have made a mockery of wrestling, and they are professional wrestlers, not sports entertainers. Scott Dawson says they are as real as they get and WWE cannot change them. Even during next week, WWE is still their universe. He then says only one team will set the tone for the next 25 years of Raw, and that is The Revival.

We look back on March 10, 2014, when Daniel Bryan led the Yes Movement in the ring and got his match at WrestleMania 30.

Elias hopes that Michael Cole is okay, then says he here is for two reasons: to teach the people that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias," and remind everyone that the Royal Rumble Match is on the horizon and that he is concerned about one Superstar in it: John Cena. Elias sings about Cena and plays guitar, saying that Cena is destined to fail at Royal Rumble, then goes for another song. He then introduces The Miztourage.

The Miztourage is still in the ring. The Miz says that last week, he returned after a six-week absence and received a "Welcome back" chant, which he says was awesome. He says the fans knew something was missing during those six weeks. He says that he was the spark the show was missing, not John Cena or Brock Lesnar. Whether General Manager Kurt Angle likes him or not, he knows, and give him his Intercontinental Championship rematch, which he says felt awesome, as did laying waste to Roman Reigns. He says he is responsible for some unforgettable moments, and now USA Network has asked him and Maryse to film a new reality shows. Next week, he will over-deliver like he always does, and people will talk about him for 25 more years. Miz then says the Intercontinental title is his, and he will take it back from him next week and it will feel awesome.

Matt Hardy beats Heath Slater.

It is announced that Goldberg is the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

We look back on May 17, 1993, when The 1-2-3 Kid got a surprise victory on Razor Ramon.

Seth Rollins beats Finn Balor. During the match, Sheamus and Cesaro show up, and during the ringside chaos that also sees Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) fight Sheamus and Cesaro at ringside, Jason Jordan trips Finn Balor up, allowing Seth Rollins to hit Finn Balor with the Curb Stomp - the first time the move has been executed in three years - to get the win.
