Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for September 30, 1999

Chris Jericho beats "Road Dogg" Jesse James by disqualification after Road Dogg tosses referee Earl Hebner out of the ring. Right after the match begins, Hardcore and Crash Holly show up and guest on commentary. After the match, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn pulls out a table and sends it to Road Dogg, who tries to powerbomb Jericho through it as he sets it up. Hardcore and Crash get in the ring and powerbomb Road Dogg through it instead, then proceed to beat up Billy Gunn. Curtis Hughes helps Chris Jericho to the back.

Lilian Garcia interviews WWF Chairman Vince McMahon. Due to The British Bulldog's recent actions of screwing The Rock out of the WWF Championship again, he makes a WWF Championship match where The British Bulldog will face Triple H for the title. Chyna will not be allowed in Triple H's corner, and Triple H has been fined $25,000 for putting his hands on the referee earlier this week on Raw. He also makes The Rock the special guest referee for the match.

Mankind shows up wearing his "Rock 'n Sock Connection" jacket. Last night, he shared one of the greatest celebrations of unity and camaraderie last Monday on Raw, and he was damn proud to be a part of it. The crowd chants "Rock 'n sock." Mankind gives a special thanks to the dozens - and dozens - of his fans for making it all happen, but says there was one man who tried to poop on their party by taking something that did not belong to him: Val Venis. Val Venis shows up, and tells Mankind he has two beautiful women in the back and he is a busy man, and that it is not his birthday. Mankind says he knows what Val Venis has in his pants, and he both wants and needs it. He then says he will turn his back, and tells him to whip it out and give it to him. Val Venis says he does not swing that way. Mankind says that what he is looking for is a few inches long, is white and has a big, beautiful head on it, and tells him to whip it out and place it in his hands, or else he will reach into his pants, whip it out and put it in his mouth. Val Venis says he had no idea Mankind was like that, and says he only putts from one side of the green. Mankind has to show him the GTV footage from Monday which shows Val Venis finding Mr. Rocko and stuffing it in his pants. Val Venis says that was a joke for all the guys in the back, but Mankind says he and The Rock does not appreciate his sense of humor, and says The Rock wants Mr. Rocko back. Venis gets out of the ring as Mankind grabs at his crotch and apologizes, saying he did not know that Mr. Rocko meant that much to him, and says he will head back to the back and find Mr. Rocko. Mankind then says that if Venis does not deliver Mr. Rocko, he will deliver Mr. Socko.

Triple H and Chyna are looking for WWF Chairman Vince McMahon backstage.

Triple H and Chyna confront WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and WWF co-owner Shane McMahon, and says Vince will not beat him. If Vince keeps finding new ways to screw him, he will find new ways to get out of them. He also tells him that "Stone Cold' Steve Austin will not beat him, either.

Lilian Garcia interviews The Rock, who says that if WWF Chairman Vince McMahon wants to give him the consolation prize by making him special guest referee for a WWF Championship match like it's Let's Make A Deal, then he will open door number 2 and shove Vince's roody poo candy ass right through it. In due time, he will become WWF Champion, but until then, he will call the match down the middle. He says that Triple H and The British Bulldog can beat the crap out of each other, and The British Bulldog can also bend down while Triple H sticks his three-inch nose straight up Bulldog's candy ass.

Edge and Christian beat The New Brood (Jeff and Matt Hardy) in the first march of a best-of-five series known as the "Terri Runnels Invitational," where whoever wins best three out of five will earn $100,000 and the managerial services of Terri Runnels herself. Terri Runnels guests on commentary as referee Jimmy Korderas ejects Gangrel from ringside before the beginning of the match, and explains the Terri Runnels Invitational series.

Heather Kozar, who guest stars on Shasta McNasty tonight after SmackDown goes off the air, is seen in the audience.

Terry Taylor interviews The British Bulldog, who thanks WWF Chairman Vince McMahon for sticking to his word and giving him a WWF Championship match against Triple H. He tells The Rock to stay out of his way.

Mankind tells The Rock about the situation with Val Venis and Mr. Rocko. The Rock offers to high-five Mankind, but when Mankind goes for it, The Rock threatens to slap him.

During the break, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen having a conversation with WWF co-owner Shane McMahon backstage.

Droz and Prince Albert guest on commentary for the next match.

Big Show beats D'Lo Brown by disqualification. During the match, Prince Albert leaves commentary, and waits until Big Show tosses D'Lo Brown out of the ring to go after Big Show. Big Show catches Albert as he comes down from the top rope, but Big Show grabs him by the neck. Albert kicks Big Show in the groin, but Big Show fights back and choke slams him after all. Droz then leaves the commentary table and attacks D'Lo Brown. Suddenly, "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry runs in and attacks Droz to save D'Lo, but when D'Lo gets up, he wants nothing to do with Mark Henry. Mark Henry grabs the microphone and tells D'Lo Brown he has something to get off his chest, and admits that he is a sex addict and that he has lost his fiancee, thousands of dollars from flying people to his house, and lost his best friend in D'Lo Brown. He says that even his mom is seeing him admit to this, as well as all the people in his hometown and where he lives. He starts crying, as he thinks everybody is laughing at his pain. He says that he wakes up in the morning and thinks about sex and things that he has never thought about before. He even says that at lunch, he thinks about sex. He says that he gets on base more times than Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa combined. He knows he has a long way to go, and that he needs help. He then leaves the ring. D'Lo Brown retains the WWF European Championship.

In footage from yesterday, Test and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon look at potential bridal gowns...or rather, Stephanie is looking thorough the catalog while Test is watching a game, and tells Stephanie that he isn't marrying a gown, he's marrying a girl, and that she will look beautiful regardless of what she wears.

Before the next match, Buh Buh Ray is seen wearing The Rock's "Rock 'n Sock Connection" jacket. When the match begins, Stevie Richards tells Mankind about this backstage.

X-Pac and Kane beat The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) and The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) in a Triple Threat Tag Team Elimination Match. The Acolytes are disqualified after Faarooq shoves referee Mike Chioda as he has X-Pac in the corner. After the match, The Acoltyes return and whip Kane into the steel steps before hitting X-Pac with a two-man powerbomb. Heather Kozar is seen in the front row again along with Cindy Margolis.

Mankind confronts Buh Buh Ray over wearing the other "Rock 'n Sock Connection" jacket. Buh Buh Ray tells him that if he wants it so badly, he'll have to come and get it.

Jeff Jarrett shows up with a shopping cart full of household objects such as pans, a mop, a vaccum cleaner and an ironing board (among other things) before telling Chyna she will get her rematch for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, but it will be the "Good Housekeeping" way. He tells Chyna she will understand the role of a woman, because he will beat her with every household appliance known to woman. As a little demonstration, he calls out any women who wants to "get their carpet cleaned" so he can give them "the old oatmeal demonstration." All of a sudden, he notices Cindy Margolis again, and asks if she learned a few weeks ago that a woman's place is in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant. He also notices Heather Kozar, and dares them to come to the ring for a 2-on-1 handicap match. All of a sudden, as Cindy and Heather climb over the guardrail, Debra shows up. The Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, Jacqueline, Lilian Garcia and Janet - all the women that Jarrett have put in the Figure Four Leg Lock - also show up and surround the ring. As Jarrett fights them off, Chyna gets in the ring and clotheslines Jarrett out of the ring, where all the other women hit Jarrett with brooms, pans and rolling pins before chasing him to the back. Moolah and Mae Young then grab Jerry "The King" Lawler.

Mankind tells The Rock what happened with the Rock 'n Sock Connection jacket. The Rock says it's okay, but Mankind tells him to stay put as he has work to do.

Terry Taylor interviews head of WWF security Jim Dotson, who says he did not deserve any abuse from "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman, as he has protected all the Superstars for years, including Blackman. Suddenly, Blackman crushes Dotson with the chain link fence in the background and stomps him in the back.

Mankind calls out Buh Buh Ray, telling him to either return the jacket or have it taken from him by force, as he will not be responsible for what The Rock does to him if he does not get it back. The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) show up from the side of the ramp, and as Buh Buh Ray and Mankind wrestle, Val Venis shows up with Mr. Rocko on his right hand. Mankind pulls out Mr. Socko, then D-Von grabs at Mankind's leg. Stevie Richards gets in the ring and hits Buh Buh Ray with a Stevie Kick behind the referee's back as Val Venis guests on commentary for a few seconds and Mankind gets The Rock's jacket back from Buh Buh Ray. Mankind then calls out Val Venis, who gets in the ring and makes it clear that he respects him, as nobody has done more for the business than him. He says that if it were not for him coming 20 feet down from the cell and destroying his body - among other things - his paycheck would not be what it is today. He gives Mr. Rocko back, but tells Mankind to close his eyes. He says he knew Mankind was a little crazy, but now he just wants to feel his nuts.Val Venis then grabs at Mankind's crotch with a testicular claw with Mr. Rocko, and Stevie Richard tries to pull him off. The Dudley Boyz come back, attack Stevie Richards, then attack Mankind before tearing up The Rock's jacket. Val Venis then walks away with Mr. Rocko.

Before the next match, The Rock mentions that The British Bulldog's home country of the United Kingdom has an anthem called "God Save The Queen." The Rock then says that on his show, they have an anthem called "God Save My Roody Poo Candy Ass." When The British Bulldog shows up, he confronts The Rock and pokes him in the chest, which leads to The Rock beating him up and punching him out of the ring.

The British Bulldog vs. Triple H for the WWF Championship ends in a no-contest. During the match, The Rock does not seem to care about either participant in the match - or the match itself, as he guests on commentary briefly - and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen watching the match from the locker room. Eventually, Triple H gets fed up with The Rock when he claps at him during a pinfall, and fights him only to get a Rock Bottom. The British Bulldog then goes for a pinfall as The Rock guests on commentary again, then The Rock counts the pinfall and speaks on a microphone at the same time, saying "One...two...it doesn't matter if The Rock counts to three!" The British Bulldog then grabs the WWF Championship and tries to hi The Rock with it, but The Rock sees it coming, punches him, grabs the WWF Championship and hits both Bulldog and Triple H in the head with it. After stomping Triple H a few times, he hits The Bulldog with The People's Elbow (with an impressive slide right before the elbow) before posing with the WWF Championship on the top rope and running off with it. When Triple H asks for the WWF Championship, timekeeper Mark Yeaton tells him that The Rock ran off with it. Triple H beats the crap out of Mark Yeaton, then heads to the back. Backstage, Triple H looks for The Rock, and punches people out as he does. He eventually finds The Rock, but in this case, The Rock finds him and hits him from the side with the WWF Championship. The British Bulldog then runs in and brawls with The Rock, and they both take it outside. Triple H gets the WWF Championship back after The Rock drops it, then heads to his locker room. He knocks on the door and asks Chyna to open the door when he finds out is is locked, and instead of Chyna, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin comes out and stomps a mudhole in Triple H. Triple H retains the WWF Championship.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for September 27, 1999

Hulk Hogan arrives to the arena on a black limousine. No sooner does he come out of the back door that scores of children show up to greet him, and one of them even gets his autograph. All of a sudden, Hulk is attacked from behind by Sting, and his left knee seems to be hurt.

We see a badly edited picture of Kidman with no hair as part of the announcement for Psychosis vs. Eddie Guerrero in a Mask vs. Hair Match for later tonight.

Mike Tenay reports that Hulk Hogan is turning down medical attention to enter the building. Sting is seen watching the show from a monitor backstage, and he says he did not get the job done.

Before the next match, Ernest "The Cat" Miller says Atlanta, Georgia may be his hometown, but he will still whup everyone in it. He says he is the greatest and that he is here to shake up the world...and whup somebody. He says he wants to fight somebody and he wants a title shot, and he is not leaving until he gets a shot tonight. He tells WCW to either send somebody with the gold around their waist, or else he will whup everyone in the building. "The Canadian Crippler" answers the challenge. The Cat says he wanted to start at the top, but since Benoit is out here, he has no problem starting with him and taking the WCW World Television Championship.

"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit retains the WCW World Television Championship against Ernest "The Cat" Miller after Benoit ducks a shot to the head with a red dancing shoe by The Cat, who accidentally nails Sonny Onoo instead.

We see a video package of Sid Vicious' streak.

Before the next match, Buff Bagwell says he's buff, but Atlanta, Georgia is the stuff.

Buff Bagwell beats Vampiro.

A low voice tells Tony Schiavone and WCW that this is the beginning of the darkness that will fall upon them.

We see footage of the inside of a funeral home, where Lex Luger is laying in a casket as a woman shrouded in black sits nearby. We see Lex Luger's spirit coming out of the casket saying that he is no longer with us. We then see the casket being lowered. The woman in black then shows as Luger cannot be referred to anymore as Luger but as "The Total Package," and removes her veil to reveal that she is Miss Elizabeth, who has not been seen in WCW in some time. Lex Luger is now posing in the center of the ring, bigger and in better shape than ever.

Hulk Hogan has a doctor check on him in the training room. All of a sudden, Hogan is attacked with a baseball bat to the leg by Sting.

Before the next match, Shane Douglas tells Dean that The Revolution (Douglas, Perry Saturn, "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit) will watch his back, but Dean Malenko wants nothing to do to it. At the same time, the rest of The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Kidman, Eddie Guerrero) all head back to the back with the rest of The Revolution.

Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Dean Malenko. During the match, Sid Vicious shows up at the arena in his own car, and gives Rick Steiner a fist bump on the way in.

Before the next match, Jimmy Hart says Goldberg is next.

Goldberg beats Hugh Morrus. During the match, Sid Vicious shows up, and hits Goldberg in the back with a steel chair as soon as Goldberg is tossed out of the ring. Nevertheless, Goldberg is able to kick out of No Laughing Matter and win the match. After the match, Goldberg tells Sid Vicious he has tossed him the ball. He is in his hometown and has never been more serious about kicking a man's ass in his life. He says it's not about who's left, it's who's next.

An ambulance is seen leaving the arena.

We see a video package of tryout for the new Nitro Girl in Cincinnati, Ohio.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is on the stage with Kimberly and Storm of The Nitro Girls. The two potential finalists from Cincinnati, Ohio are Celentria Adams and Jamie Flowers. Celentria and Jamie are then brought out onto the stage. Once again, viewers are reminded that they can vote on the finalist on WCW.com until 2 AM Eastern time. Next week, tryouts are in Kansas City, Missouri, and will take place at Gold's Gym at 9 AM and at Have A Nice Day Cafe at 9 PM.

Dusty Hill of ZZ Top and Ricky Medlock of Lynyrd Skynyrd are seen in the front row, having been seen earlier during Goldberg's post-match promo.

Before the next match, Berlyn demands total silence from the crowd during the match through ring announcer David Penzer. Not surprisingly, the boos directed at Berlyn get louder.

Berlyn beats Evan Karagias after Karagias is punched out by Berlyn's bodyguard as the referee is not looking. As Berlyn has Karagias in a submission hold after the match, Brad Armstrong runs in and kicks Berlyn out of the hold; this action is met with Berlyn and his bodyguard ganging up on him.

Goldberg is seen backstage looking for Sid Vicious. A person that he finds has Sid's car keys in his hand as he says he hasn't really seen him as of late. Goldberg takes the keys.

Backstage, David Flair gets on the phone and calls Torrie Wilson, asking if she has the number. He writes something down on a piece of paper.

Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) retains the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The West Texas Rednecks (Barry and Kendall Windham) after Stevie Ray hits Kendall Windham in the knee with one of the tag team titles behind referee Nick Patricks' back.

Goldberg makes a phone call to a towing company, telling them to come to the arena.

Before the next match, Rick Steiner tells Van Hammer that Sid Vicious has better things to do than to deal with him, and tells him to come into the ring and face him. Van Hammer shows up.

Rick Steiner beats Van Hammer after referee Charles Robinson has Van Hammer in a wristlock before allowing Rick to hit Van Hammer with a low blow. During the match, it is confirmed that Hulk Hogan was in the ambulance earlier tonight and is currently in the hospital.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Bret tells "The Total Package" Lex Luger that it will take more than a baseball bat to stop him. He then says that nobody is happier than him to come back to professional wrestling. He says that he has no respect for Luger or Sting anymore, as they are the lowest of the low and the scum of the earth, and when surrounded with people like that, you find people with class, dignity and newfound respect. He calls Hulk Hogan "the Elvis Presely of wrestling," as there will be nobody like him and that he is glad to be his partner. Hulk Hogan may be out, but he will be back. Suddenly, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up as Bret says he has respect for one man more than anyone else in the business: Flair. He says Flair is the best there is, was and ever will be, and he calls it an honor to tag team with him tonight. Flair tosses his Rolex watch away as he proposes they both team up tonight and kick Sting, Luger and Diamond Dallas Page's asses. Flair then tells Hogan he is downtown right now, but he and Bret side-by-side will make history tonight, as they are wrestling. Flair gets extremely fired up concerning Sting, Luger and DDP, and if Miss Elizabeth wants to get in the ring, he'll ride her, too. Bret tells DDP, Sting and Luger to bring it on.

David Flair calls Torrie Wilson, who - unbeknownst to David - is with The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Kidman).

Sid Vicious finds out from the same guy that Goldberg met earlier that Goldberg took his car keys.

Konnan vs. Perry Saturn ends in a no-contest. During the match, Psychosis, Juventud Guerrero, Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Silver King attack Konnan. The rest of The Filthy Animals (Rey Mysterio Jr., Eddie Guerrero, Kidman) run in to save Konnan, and the rest of The Revolution ("The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Shane Douglas) show up as Saturn beats up Eddie, dragging Saturn out of the ring. The Revolution argue over Shane Douglas helping Malenko and Saturn in their matches, with Saturn telling Douglas he did not need his help.

Sid Vicious finds out his car is still in front of the arena, but needs to find his keys. Suddenly, a tow truck shows up...

Goldberg talks to the man in the tow truck, telling him to have the car back at the arena by 11 PM tonight.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page, who says people both love and hate him because he is married to Kimberly, and that people will never forget him because he delivers the goods and is the best two-time World Heavyweight Champion. As for Lex Luger and Sting, he and the two of them are the greatest pool of talent ever, and says they will beat Bret "The Hit Man" and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair tonight.

Jesse Tuggle of the Atlanta Falcons and John Popper of Blues Traveler are seen in the crowd tonight.

Kidman beats Psychosis despite the interference of Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Juventud Guerrera. As per pre-match stipulation, Kidman keeps his hair and Psychosis must unmask. Juvi and Chavo attack Kidman as he tries to unmask Psychosis, and place a towel around Psychosis' face after Kidman unmasks Psychosis during a Tornado DDT. The rest of The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Eddie Guerrero) show up to even the odds.

It is announced that Hulk Hogan will not be in the next match, which will officially become a 3-on-2 handicap match.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beat Sting, "The Total Package" Lex Luger and Diamond Dallas Page in a 3-on-2 handicap match by disqualification after DDP and Luger choke out Bret with the baseball bat before Luger hits Flair with it. David Flair gets into the ring to fight Luger only to be hit with a baseball bat and a Diamond Cutter, then the ambulance from earlier is seen back at the arena with the back door open before Luger puts Flair in the Torture Rack. As Sting hits Bret in the gut with the baseball bat, Hulk Hogan hobbles to the ring with his left knee in a brace and fights DDP, Luger and Sting all at once before grabbing the baseball bat and hitting DDP and Luger with it. Sting dives out of the ring as soon as he sees Hogan with the bat. Hogan then checks on Bret and Flair.

Sid Vicious finds out his car is back outside of the arena where he parked it...only it is now crushed into a cube.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 27, 1999

RAW

We see footage from earlier today where WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and the front office have addressed the grievances of and come to terms with the referees of the World Wrestling Federation. Jimmy Korderas is seen with a sling on his left arm as Vince McMahon tells the referees that they have all the authority the need to take care of business in the ring, and tells them to seize that authority and take control over the matches and the athletes. The World Wrestling Federation will back them up in any way possible, and asks them to set everything aside and do their jobs. The referee strike has officially ended, and the official referees return to work tonight.

Triple H and Chyna show up. Triple H says he does not give a crap what the fans think of him, and tells them they can rest assured that every single time he holds the WWF Championship in the air, they can kiss his ass. Last night, he proved to the world again that he is beyond the man, and that he is stronger than all and indeed the game. As a matter of fact, he is the best game there has ever been in this business. Last night, he got into the ring with six of the best professional athletes in the game today, and when all was said and done and everything was finished, he proved to the world that they were not even in his league. The sweet justice of it all and the best thing of the night was that none other than "Stone Cold" Steve Austin had to get down on his hands and knees and had no other choice but to count the pinfall on The Rock. He tells Austin it will not stop there, as he is next and he will be the last notch on his belt of success, as he will not rest until he beats Austin's ass right in the middle of the ring. Suddenly, The British Bulldog shows up and tells Triple H to forget about Austin right now, because both of them made a deal last night that if either one of them became WWF Champion at Unforgiven, the other would get the first shot the next night on Raw. He also tells Triple H he bailed him out last Thursday on SmackDown, and he did not come back to the WWF for nothing; he came back to become WWF Champion, and tonight, the title is going around his waist. Triple H tells Bulldog to calm down, and tells him "I lied to your ass. You ain't gettin' nothin.'" Bulldog says they can do it any way they want it, because tonight, he will take him out right now or he can take him out later tonight for the WWF Champion, and tells him the choice is his. Triple H tells Bulldog "screw you," and Bulldog calls Triple H an "arrogant son-of-a-bitch," says he would say that, and immediately hits him with a double leg takedown. Chyna hits Bulldog from behind, and Triple H hits Bulldog with a low blow before he and Chyna take the boots to Bulldog. Referees show up to restore order, then WWF Chairman Vince McMahon shows up. Vince congratulates Triple H on becoming WWF Champion once again, and hopes Bulldog caused him no bodily harm; however, he is disappointed to hear he is reluctant to defend the WWF Championship tonight. He will be doing that, however, it will not be against The British Bulldog; instead, it is against the person Bulldog screwed out of the victory: The Rock. Triple H is livid.

Jeff Jarrett is seen backstage with Miss Kitty, talking to "Doctor" Tom Prichard. Meanwhile, Mankind is seen with baloons and presents, while a person covered in a black cloth is following him into the arena. We then see Jarrett, Miss Kitty and Prichard heading towards the ring.

In footage from earlier today, Test and Stephanie McMahon get outfits for their wedding.

Jeff Jarrett, Miss Kitty and "Doctor" Tom Prichard show up. Jarrett tells Debra and Chyna to accept their challenge, and no other women will get hurt tonight. Last night at Unforgiven, they were completely out of hand, and tonight, he and Prichard will put them back in their place. He says it will be "a battle of the sexes," and says they will see if they have the balls to accept.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho brags about ending "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrocks' career and says he survived their encounter with only a body cast and traction to worry about, as he is one bad mamma jamma. He plans to add to his track record by ending the career of "the WWF's biggest waste in sperm" in Big Show, and when he is finished with him, he will never, ever bore the Jerichoholics again. Prince Albert shows up on commentary so he can get a closer look at Big Show, saying he will chop him down to size.

Big Show beats Chris Jericho by disqualification after Prince Albert goes up to the top rope and drop kicking Big Show as he has Chris Jericho up in the air for a choke slam. After the match, "Road Dogg" Jesse James shows up, beats up Curtis Hughes, and forces Jericho to walk off the ramp to take a shortcut to the back.

Mankind is seen taking to the person in the black cloth, saying that when The Rock sees them, he will go completely nuts. Stevie Richards shows up dressed like Dude Love, and asks Mankind a favor, saying he wants to be Dude Love because Dude Love is a chick magnet. Mankind tells him to go out there and have fun, and to stock up on the oysters and Vitamin C. He then tells the person in the black cloth "The chicks hated Dude Love; it was all part of the gimmick!"

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen heading to the ring.

TheRock.com - visit now!

Michael Cole interviews Chyna, who tells him that he couldn't stop him from getting in the ring with Jeff Jarrett and "Doctor" Tom Prichard after what happened last night at Unforgiven. She tells Debra that she has no grudge against her, but when she gets in the ring with her, she just might be a casualty, and warns her to stay away.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. Austin says one can only imagine that when he made it to Greensboro, North Carolina, he was a little surprise and even more pissed off that Triple H was ordered to defend the WWF Championship against The Rock, and not against him as promised. He wants what is his, and wants WWF Chairman Vince McMahon in the ring as he has some explaining to do. Vince shows up, and publicly thanks Austin for reinstating him to the World Wrestling Federation, and that he is still entitled to his title shot. He did not say when he would get the title shot, however; nevertheless, he will live up to his word and get it at No Mercy in three weeks' time regardless of who is the WWF Champion. Austin tells Vince that had better happen, or he will stomp a mudhole in his ass and walk it dry like never before.

We see GTV footage of Terri Runnels and The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) in the dressing room. The Mean Street Posse kick Terri Runnels to the curb, and Pete Gas complains to Rodney and Joey Abs about always being the caboose.

The encore of Unforgiven is tomorrow night on pay-per-view!

D'Lo Brown retains the WWF European Championship against "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman by disqualification after Blackman smacks D'Lo in the gut with a kendo stick. During the match, Droz shows up and guests on commentary. After the match, Blackman finds head of WWF security Jim Dotson in the front row and attacks him, and Droz both stomps and pukes on D'Lo Brown. "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry shows up to check on D'Lo Brown and make up with him as EMTs check on Dotson, but D'Lo Brown wants none of it.

Mankind tells the person in the black cloth not to be too nervous as he takes presents and balloons to the ring.

We see footage from during the break where Mankind and the person in the black cloth run into "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and invite him to come to the party that he is about to throw for The Rock. Austin respectfully declines.

WAR ZONE

Mankind shows up with presents and gifts. The person in the black cloth is not following him there. He says everybody knows what he did to The Rock at Unforgiven, and admits he now has to live it it. He has stayed up all night to find a way to make it up to The Rock, and he has it in the form of birthday balloons and presents, and says that in his heart, "The Rock and Sock Connection" lives on. He asks the production crew to play The Rock's music. If The Rock comes out, he will take it as a sign of forgiveness; if he does not, then "The Rock and Sock Connection" is dead. It does not take long for The Rock to show up, and says he is not in a very good mood after last night. He says he does not need any apologies, and if he got his ass whupped, he got it whupped by himself; if he whupped ass, he whupped it himself. He then asks Mankind what he wants as he a a title match tonight. Mankind says he has the feeling The Rock will like this, "this" being The Rock's life. Celebratory music plays as pyro hits above the ring, then confetti and balloons drop down the arena from the ceiling. Mankind then asks The Rock if he remembers a certain voice. A voice of what sounds like an old woman asks "Dwayne, would you like to answer that important question?" The person in the black cloth is at ringside now, but that voice is not coming from that person; it instead comes from The Rock's 6th grade home economics teacher, Mrs. Betty Griffith (though the name plate reads "The Rock's 6th grade English teacher, Mrs. Shubert;" she will be known from this point on as Mrs. Griffith). Mankind says that as The Rock's 6th grade home economics teacher, she was the first one to smell what The Rock was cookin'. The Rock remembers her, and asks if she remembers if the only thing he wanted to do in her class was make pancakes and she never let him make the pancakes; instead; he always made chocolate chip cookies and blueberry muffins, but never pancakes...until the end of the school year. The next day, however, she was all out of Aunt Jemimah. He asks if she still likes to cook and bake bread, and asks if she "knows her rolls." The Rock then tells Mrs. Griffith to know her role and shut her mouth, take a little walk down Jabroni Boulevard, take a right on Jabroni Drive, proceed to check her "Aunt Jemimah, no-pancake-havin' ass" directly into the Smackdown Hotel. Mrs. Griffith leaves the ring, and Mankind apologizes to her. Mankind tells The Rock he has another surprise for him. A gravelly, male voice is heard saying "Alright, Johnson...hit the ground and let me see you do me 20!" Coach Hart of the Freedom High School Warriors heads down to the ring, and credits him as the man who gave The Rock his testicular fortitude that became an All-American at the University of Miami (Ohio). (It is noted that Coach Everett Hart comes down to the ring to "I'll Be Your Hero," which was the same song used in the Lex Luger music video from SummerSlam 1993.) The Rock asks Hart if he remembers the last game of the season, when there was two minutes left and he made the quarterback sack, and when the quarterback went for a high-five, he gave him a boot and a DDT right in the middle of the field. He then chews out Coach Hart for making him run sprints in front of all of his fans for it. The Rock then says that is a really nice wrestle around Coach Hart's neck, and asks if that is the same whistle he used that night, and asks him to give it one more blow for The Rock. He then wants to do something special with that whistle: take the whistle, shine it up real nice, turn it sideways and stick it straight up his candy ass. Coach Hart leaves the ring, and The Rock tells Mankind to get this over with. Mankind then proceeds to show everyone (he initially says "the millions," but The Rock tells him to never do that again before doing it himself) a different side of The Rock that he knows pretty well: the sensitive side. A voice says "Dwayne...can I please run my fingers through your hair one more time." The Rock's high school sweetheart, Miss Joanne Imbriani, shows up. (SHe shows up to Lex Luger's "Narcissist" theme.) He asks Joanne if they remember every Saturday night when they sat on his parents' couch and they would kiss a little bit, and says she loved his tongue. He asks if she remembers when she nibbled on his ears and whispered "Go for it, go for second base." As he put his hand ever so gently on her knee, slid it up inch by inch, he got cut off on second base. He then says he is not the guy to hold a grudge, as she stands before him wanting to go one-on-one with The Great One and serve him a piece of "that poontang pie." The Rock says he loves pie, then tells her to "poontang [her] ass on outta here." As she leaves, The Rock then tells Mankind to shut up as everyone is chanting his name, and Mankind said that his home economics teacher would be a bitch, that his high school coach would be a jerk, or that his high school girlfriend would be a skank. He promises that tonight will be a special night, as they are going to open "The People's Presents." Mankind hands The Rock a box, and inside is a "Rock 'n Sock Connection" jacket. Mankind pulls out another one, and he puts his jacket on before staring a "Rock 'n Sock" chant. He hands him another present - this one much smaller than the first - and inside is a sock with The Rock's face on it, which has been christened "Mr. Rocko." He then reveals who the person in the black cloth is: Yurple the Clown. (Just like the last time she appeared, she comes out to Doink's face entrance. Yurple the Clown is perhaps best known before this as the clown that Mankind brought to Vince McMahon's hospital room last year.) Just like last time, she puts stickers on The Rock as well as a streamer. Mankind stands up for Yurple when The Rock says it doesn't matter what her name is, and tells The Rock that he is a very ungrateful little man. She then leads the arena in a "Happy Birthday" sing-along for The Rock as somebody brings a cake with two candles and a Brahma Bull on it to the ring. The Rock says he is naturally appreciative to all of his fans, but to Mankind, "The Rock's birthday is May 2nd, you stupid son-of-a-bitch!" Mankind says he knows that, but every moment he spends time with him, it feels like somebody's birthday. The proceedings are spoiled by Triple H, who runs in swinging a sledgehammer as Mankind, Yurple and The Rock get out of the ring (which puts an end to the highest-rated segment in Raw history).

Before the next match, "Road Dogg" Jesse James tells the entire tag team division that if they think that they are not worthy of wearing the tag team titles, then any two men in the back can challenge them right now. Hardcore and Crash Holly are then seen backstage. Crash asks Hardcore if The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) meet the super heavyweight requirements. Hardcore says he doesn't know, but there is only one way to find out, and tells Crash to get the scale.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) are in the ring when Kane and X-Pac show up. It is not long before Hardcore and Crash Holly come out with the scale and guest on commentary, bewildered that Kane and X-Pac have answered the challenge, saying they had their shot long ago and do not belong here as Hardcore has beaten both of them.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat Kane and X-Pac by disqualification when Hardcore and Crash Holly attack the Outlaws. Kane and X-Pac help the Outlaws out, then both teams shake hands with X-Pac after the match.

Terry Taylor interview Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah. Moolah says she and Mae Young are here to teach Ivory a lesson: respect her elders. Mae Young calls Ivory a tramp. Moolah tells Mae to calm down, as they are about to teach Ivory that you are never too old to kick some ass.

The Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young beat Ivory in a 2-on-1 Handicap Evening Gown Match. Ivory drop kick Moolah in the back after the match, but Mae Young, who was stripped to her bra and panties before Ivory, chases after Ivory.

We see GTV footage of Val Venis looking into a trash can and pulling out "Mr. Rocko." He then proceeds to stick Mr. Rocko down his pants.

Before the next match, Jeff Jarrett asks Chyna if she will run and hide like every woman should, or if she has a set to step into a man's world. When Chyna fails to show up, he says women are good for cooking and cleaning, but is unable to say the third thing when Chyna shows up. Chyna says Jarrett is confident that she can't beat him, and tells him to put his money where his mouth is. She will face him under one condition: if she pins him tonight, she wants her rematch for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at No Mercy. She then questions if Jarrett has the balls. Jarrett says there is no chance in Hell she will win. Debra then shows up and flashes her puppies on the apron, and a distracted "Doctor" Tom Prichard gets a low blow from behind by Chna.

Chyna and Debra beat Jeff Jarrett and "Doctor" Tom Prichard. As Jeff Jarrett goes for the Figure Four Leg Lock on Chyna, Debra gets in the ring and grabs Jarrett by the hair. Miss Kitty gets in the ring to pull Debra off, but this results in a catfight between Debra and Miss Kitty. "Doctor" Tom Prichard grabs Jarrett's guitar and hits Chyna in the back of the head with it as referee Teddy Long is dealing with Debra and Miss Kitty on the outside, and Chyna falls on top of Jarrett for the three count, giving her the rematch for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at No Mercy.

Triple H nearly trips on the way to the ring in the backstage area.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin guests on commentary for the next match.

The Rock vs. Triple H for the WWF Championship ends in a no-contest. During the match, Triple H punches out referee Earl Hebner after being confronted for bringing a steel chair into the match, then take sthe chair and smashes it into The Rock's head. Triple H then calls out "Stone Cold" Steve Austin from the middle of the ring, and Austin gets in the ring and fights Triple H. Austin hits Triple H with a Stone Cold Stunner, then The Rock hits triple H with a Rock Bottom. The Rock and Earl Hebner both roll towards Triple H at the same time, but The British Bulldog rushes into the ring and attacks both The Rock and Triple H, ending the match. Triple H retains the WWF Championship.

Unforgiven 1999 - The Results

In footage from earlier today, WWF referees are still on strike.

Val Venis brings "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman's duffel bag full of weapons to the ring before the next match. He then says that "The Big Valbowski" figures that the remnants of Hurricane Floyd are still within the boundaries of North Carolina, because this morning, he was blown from one end of the stage to the other.

Val Venis beats "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman. The Brooklyn Brawler is the referee for this match. After the match, Venis grabs a Kendo stick out of Blackman's duffel bag, but Blackman stops him and hits Venis in the head with the Kendo stick, knocking him out cold. Medical help comes to the ring, and Blackman confronts the female EMT. Head of WWF security Jim Dotson tells Blackman to back off, and when he doesn't, he takes him down.

Michael Cole interviews Big Show. He says The Undertaker's name is not on the roster, while his is. He has been through the learning tree, the tough love and the hard knocks. He now has a killer instinct that nobody can compare with, and he is not leaving without the WWF Championship tonight.

Lilian Garcia interviews "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry, who is standing between two men. When told about D'Lo Brown's shot at the WWF European Championship, Henry says "Never mind that...let me tell you what I want a shot at." He whispers something into her ear, and an offended Lilian Garcia slaps him.

The WWF referees are still on strike and still outside of the arena.

Before the next match, "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry is accompanied by the two women he was seen with backstage. He says there will not be a European Championship match tonight, and tells the two women accompanying him to start the car. They leave the ring, and Henry says he would normally go on with the match, but he got slapped in the face and something "just popped." He says "I think I got a brainurysm or something," then says he will do this tomorrow night on Raw. D'Lo Brown shows up before Mark Henry can make it to the back.

D'Lo Brown beats "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry to win the WWF European Championship! "Doctor" Tom Prichard is the referee for this match.

Michael Cole interviews The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw). Bradshaw says quite a few people have said that they have met their match, but they have already sent one team from Extreme Championship Wrestling (Public Enemy - Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock), and tonight, they will destroy The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley). Faarooq says the only way they have met their match is that both teams have a White man and a Black man in them, and once and for all, The Dudleys will learn they are no match for tem. Suddenly, Hardcore and Crash Holly are seen attacking Chaz along, as is Droz and Joey Abs. Dave Hebner gets Chaz out of the room and says to him "Nobody wants you here! Leave!" It becomes apparent that Chaz is being ostracized due to allegations of abusing Marianna.

Lilian Garcia interviews Debra and Miss Kitty. Debra says she and Jeff Jarrett had their difference, but the first time he laid a hand on her was the last time. Jarrett suddenly shows up and takes this as a threat, and tells Debra to stay out of her business before grabbing Miss Kitty and taking her to the ring.

Jeff Jarrett retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Chyna by reverse decision. Harvey Wippleman is the referee for this match. During the match, Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah are seen in the front row. Later in the match, Jarrett catapults Chyna into Harvey Wippleman in the corer, and Miss Kitty hands Jarrett his guitar to use as a weapon. Suddenly, Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah jump the barricade and attack Jarrett until he clotheslines both of them. As Jarrett continues to attack them, Debra shows up, shoves Miss Kitty to the floor and smashes the guitar into Jarrett's head as he goes for a Figure Four Leg Lock on Chyna.Chyna gets the pinfall, and Wippleman recovewrs enough to make the three-count to win the title almost. "Doctor" Tom Prichard runs in and tells Wippleman what happened, and a replay of what happened appears on the TianTron. The decision is reversed, and Chyna beats the crap out of Prichard before giving him a low blow and a Pedigree.

Officials have to help Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah to the back before the next match. Buh Buh Ray says Charlotte, North Carolina sucks before asking D-Von Dudley if the fans are making fun of him. D-Von Dudley says The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) may have given their souls to the dark side, but their asses belong to them.

The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) beat The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) after Stevie Richard shows up impersonating an Acolyte - only with random symbols on his pants and the United Paramount Networks logo on his chest - superkicks D-Von. After the match, The Acolytes beat him up before shaking his hand and thanking him as he lies in the middle of the ring. Jimmy Korderas is the referee for this match.

Ivory attacks Luna Vachon from behind with a garbage can as she makes her way to the ring, getting their hardcore match for the WWF Women's Championship started early.

Ivory retains the WWF Women's Championship against Luna Vachon in a hardcore match. At the end of the match, Tori shows up, but Ivory grabs the metal rod out of her hands and uses it against her before getting the victory.

Lilian Garcia interviews Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah. Moolah says Jeff Jarrett should stay out of their business, not the other way around. When Ivory runs in and says she is a real women's champion, Mae Young and Moolah beat the crap out of her, and officials have to step in to restore order.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) retain the WWF Tag Team Championshisp against Edge and Christian. after The New Brood (Gangrel, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy) attack Road Dogg, Edge and Christian behind the referee's back. Jimmy Korderas is the referee for this match. After the match, Edge and Christian chase after The New Brood.

Lilian Garcia interviews The British Bulldog, who says The Rock is a bit too cocky and that he was the man to bring him down. Triple H tells Lilian not to worry about his relationship with The British Bulldog as he says that you get the job done any way you can. The Bulldog will do his job, and he will do his as he leaves tonight as WWF Champion.

Michael Cole interviews The Big Boss Man, who does not regret what he has done to Pepper at all as he threatens to ram his nightstick up Michael Cole's ass. He has spent his whole life with people in cages, and tonight is no different. He says that tonight will be a night that nobody will ever forget.

Lilian Garcia interviews Al Snow, who says that tonight, he will be all over The Big Boss Man's ass like a one-man crime spree in Pepper's memory.

Al Snow retains the WWF Hardcore Championship against The Big Boss Man in a Kennel From Hell Match after breaking out of Boss Man's handcuffs from the corner and pulling Head out of a sack full of weapons introduced by The Big Boss Man and using Head as a weapon. The match becomes a notorious dud in the years to come due to the Rottweilers not being the attack dogs that they are supposed to be compared to previous weeks, with one of the dogs relieving themselves on their way into the cage. Once the dogs are in, they are more interested in each other than Al Snow and The Big Boss Man. After the match, The Big Boss Man quickly gets out of the cage, and the dogs - with their handlers - go after him as he runs to the back. The Brooklyn Brawler is the referee for this match.

Michael Cole interviews Mankind, who says that if the opportunity presents himself, he will look up at the crowd as his dozens and dozens of fans chant "Rock and Sock," and he will proceed to lay the smacketh down on The Rock's candy ass.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho welcomes the fans to "Charlotte is Jericho." Not only is he here to save the World Wrestling Federation and the city of Charlotte, North Carolina, he is here to save this pay-per-view by giving the fans what they really, truly wanted to see: him. He says that if X-Pac were foolish enough to take "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock's place, that is just fine, because he will have to end his career as that is what all the Jerichoholics came to see.

X-Pac beats Chris Jericho by disqualification. "Doctor" Tom Prichard is the referee for this match. During the match, Curtis Hughes gets in the ring and punches Prichard out before doing the same to X-Pac. Prichard calls for the bell as Hughes and Jericho gang up on X-Pac. "Road Dogg" Jesse James runs out and evens the odds, and he and X-Pac fight back against Jericho and Hughes, who high-tail it out of the ring.

Triple H beats The Rock, Big Show, Mankind, Kane and The British Bulldog in a Six-Pack Challenge to win the WWF Championship for a second time. Jimmy Korderas is the referee for this match, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is the special guest enforcer, though Austin guests on commentary as soon as the match begins. During the match, the real referees of the World Wrestling Federation show up to watch this match from ringside, and they eventually drag Korderas out of the ring to gang up on him for crossing the picket line. Austin runs down to the aisle and fights all the other referees, then has to run into the ring to count a near-fall for The Rock as he pins Triple H as Korderas is incapacitated. Austin gets dragged out of the ring by Big Show, Bulldog hits The Rock with a steel chair, Triple H hits Bulldog with the chair, then Triple H hits The Rock with a Pedigree. Austin counts the three-count for Triple H, who takes back the WWF Championship. Triple H snatches the title from Austin and raises it up, and Austin answers by hitting him with a Stone Cold Stunner.

Francine spears Miss Congeniality, immediately starting a catfight as Dreamer fights both Doring and Roadkill. Numerous ECW wrestlers come out of the locker room to make this brawl even bigger, then New Jack shows up with a bunch of weapons and mutilates everyone.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for September 23, 1999

WWF co-owner - now chairman - Vince McMahon shows up to start tonight's show. He introduces the fans to the man who claims to be the next WWF Champion and the man to win the first-ever Six-Pack Challenge to win the title at Unforgiven this Sunday: Triple H. Triple H and Chyna show up. Now that he is back in control of the WWF, being called an asshole is not good for Triple H. The headache he gave him on Raw is nothing compared to "the full-blown migraine" he will give him tonight. He doesn't want Triple H to think he holds a grudge just because he attempted and threatened bodily harm on every one of his family members, attempted to manhandle his son, soon-to-be son-in-law and wife, and busted him open. Instead of holding a grudge, he will get even, and rather than wait until this Sunday's Six-Pack Challenge, he will have face all those opponents individually. He will face The Rock in a Brahma Bullrope Match, The Undertaker is a Casket Match, Mankind in a Boiler Room Brawl, Kane in an Inferno Match, and Big Show in a Choke Slam Challenge Match. In fairness, he does not have to win all the matches to keep his place at Unforgiven, saying three out of five will do it. An angry Triple H lashes out at Vince, but Vince tells him to save his aggression for his Choke Slam Challenge Match with Big Show, which happens next.

Big Show beats Triple H in a Choke Slam Challenge, being able to choke slam Triple H before he can do the same to Big Show. After the match, Big Show choke slams Triple H again. Harvey Wippleman is the referee for this match. Triple H is 0-1 in his challenge.

We see footage from outside the arena from earlier today where the referees are on strike. The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) attack Teddy Long with garbage cans to send a message to The Acoltyes (Faarooq and Bradshaw), saying they've made it personal.

Stanley Cup champion Brett Hull is in the audience with his son.

Lilian Garcia interviews Chris Jericho, who says he has challenged "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock to a First Blood Match because he has proven week after week that he, not Shamrock, is the world's most dangerous man, and he will not wait until Sunday to see his blood and end his career. When his blood is shed all across the ring, it had better not get on his clothes as he guarantees that everyone will not see his own blood tonight.

D'Lo Brown guests on commentary for the next match.

X-Pac beats "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry by count-out. "Doctor" Tom Prichard is the referee for this match. "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry retains the WWF European Championship. After the match, D'Lo Brown go at it near the commentary table, and Henry sends D'Lo into the ring post.

Lilian Garcia interviews Luna Vachon, who likes to thanks Ivory forgiving a shot at the WWF Women's Championship as she finally gets her opportunity to take the title and put it around her waist where it belongs. He then asks one more favor of Ivory: make it a hardcore match.

Jeff Jarrett and Miss Kitty show up. Debra is conspicuous by her absence. Jarrett introduces himself and says he is a man's man and that this is a man's world. He says men are dominant and women are weak, and when he bitch slaps Chyna at Unforgiven, she will understand reality. Jarrett then says that Debra's "malnourished puppies" are at home, licking their wounds, because she entered his world and got the Figure Four Leg Lock for it. Jarrett then eyes a female stage manager at ringside who is telling him to wrap his promo up, calls her a skank, and asks if she is telling him what to do. He gets out of the ring, tosses her notes into the ring and tells her to get in there and do what women are designed to do: clean crap up. After she gets in, Jarrett attempts to lock in the Figure Four Leg Lock when Chyna runs in and hits Jarrett in the back of the head with a frying pan. He then places a frying pan and soup ladle in his hands before dressing him in the apron before taking Jarrett's wrestling shorts and putting them on. Chyna tells Jarrett that at Unforgiven, he will be seeing who is wearing the pants as well as his Intercontinental title.

Triple H beats Kane in an Inferno match. . The Brooklyn Brawler is the referee in this match. During the match, X-Pac is seen lying on the stage, and Kane notices this as well as The Undertaker, Mideon and Viscera approaching X-Pac, who is bloodied. Kane goes up to the top rope, jumps over the flames and goes after Mideon and Viscera, who set Kane on fire, ending the match. After the match, Kane checks on X-Pac. Triple H is now 1-1 in his challenge.

Kane is distraught after the pain that X-Pac has been put through. Lilian Garcia is then seen interviewing The Undertaker, Big Show, The Undertaker, Mideon and Viscera. The Undertaker asks Big Show if he warned him about what would happen if he betrayed him. He says that Kane is now sitting there like a sniveling little idiot holding X-Pac in his hands. The Undertaker says their job is done, and that it is time to venture off into the night. Lilian Garcia reminds The Undertaker about his Casket Match about Triple H, but The Undertaker says nobody orders him to do something he does not want to do, and that there will be no Casket Match. WWF Chairman Vince McMahon shows up and confronts him about it, and says he will not be in the Six-Pack Challenge at Unforgiven. The Undertaker then says he may not be participating in anything, and tells Vince to deal with that.

Before the next match, The Rock says Triple H runs his mouth about how he is "the game," and tells him to go back to the drawing board because his game plan absolutely sucks. He also has a game of his own: earlier tonight, he was talking to a couple of athletes by the name of Mike Modano and Brett Hull, and he told them that tonight, he will whip Triple H's ass all over the arena in the first-ever Brahma Bull Match, but he wanted to do something a little extra special for Dallas, Texas. He asked if he could borrow the Stanley Cup, and after they agreed, he says that this game is special as he will take the Cup, hold it up to the light, shine it up real nice, turn it sideways and stick it up Triple H's candy ass. Mankind shows up, and tells The Rock that he does not know a lot about Lord Stanley, but when he heard The Rock needed a cup, he got him one. He then pulls out a protective cup, as he speaks for everyone when he says that "The People's Jewels" must be protected so that one day, we can have a "Rocky Jr." running around. He has to disagree with him on one thing: he wants to see the Brahma Bull Match, but he says people want to see his Boiler Room Brawl match more. He says he knows every inch of the boiler room, and what he has there is a special metal pipe. He plans to take that metal pipe, shine it up real nice, turn it sideways and...hit him right over the head with it, due to The Rock starting a hole through him. Suddenly, "Road Dogg" Jesse James is seen for the frist time since Chris Jericho injured his back five weeks ago. He tells The Rock and Mankind are overlooking the fact that they are the WWF Tag Team Champions, and that means a little something to him. He says he's got registry at The Smackdown Hotel, but he is not sleeping single as nobody wants to see a Brahma Bullrope Match or a Boiler Room Brawl, but they do want to see a tag team match. He brings out "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, and for the first time since earlier this year, Road Dogg and Mr. Ass are back together as The New Age Outlaws. He then tells The Rock to reach down and see if he an find his family jewels. Mankind says he is a big fan of The New Age Outlaws, but if they want to challenge them for the tag titles, The Rock 'n Sock Connection back down from no one.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat The Rock and Mankind to win the WWF Tag Team Championships for the fourth time. This is the fourth reign for Road Dogg and the seventh for Billy Gunn. Interestingly, the referee for this match is Jimmy Korderas, even though the regular referees are on strike. After the match, The New Age Outlaws reintroduce themselves.

WWF Chairman Vince McMahon tells Mideon and Viscera that tonight's Casket Match will be a handicap match between them and Triple H. Meanwhile, Chyna tells Triple H to give up the challenge, but Triple H refuses to give up, and he says that he will not let Vince McMahon break him down.

Al Snow is waiting for someone backstage. He also finds out his watch is broken.

Triple H beats Mideon and Viscera in a 2-on-1 Handicap Casket Match after Viscera accidentally splashes Mideon, allowing Chyna to hit a confused Viscera with a low blow and Triple H to hit both Viscera and Mideon with Pedigrees before placing Mideon in the casket. At least, that is what Triple H thinks. After the match, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up and tells Triple H he has not won yet as he has to place Viscera in the casket as well.

Viscera and Mideon beat Triple H in a 2-on-1 Handicap Casket Match. Harvey Wippleman and The Brooklyn Brawler are the referees for this match. Triple H is now 1-2 in the Triple H Challenge.

Lilian Garcia interviews Ivory, who is concerned to get in the ring with Luna Vachon, saying she is crazy and that rules do not apply to her. At the same time, she has something to defend that has honor, dignity and class. She accepts Luna's challenge to a hardcore match at Unforgiven, as she is not willing to let Luna embarrass the title.

Before the next match, Hardcore Holly says that earlier this week on Raw, he did him and Pepper a favor by beating the hell out of The Big Boss Man, leaving him blind and senseless. He wants Al Snow to return the favor by coming down to the ring. Before he can say more, Snow shows up. This starts their match.

Hardcore Holly beats Al Snow. During the match, The Big Boss Man is seen backstage via the TitanTron, having attacked a dog handler while mocking the Rottweilers. After this, Crash Holly distracts Snow by trying to attack him, but even after Snow fights back, Hardcore Holly takes advantage. After the match, Boss Man shows up with a dog chain wrapped around his hand, and punches out both Hardcore Holly and Al Snow. He then pulls out a can of Alpo dog food, and tries to shove it down Snow's throat.

"Doctor" Tom Prichard is the referee for the next match: the Boiler Room Brawl between Triple H and Mankind. As soon as Triple H gets in the boiler room. Prichard immediately locks the door on him and Mankind immediately goes on the attack.

Triple H beats Mankind in a Boiler Room Brawl after Mankind tries to jump from 15 feet into the air only to pushed off and into a nearby table.

The British Bulldog looks for WWF Chairman Vince McMahon backstage.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho shows up dressed in Buffalo Sabres hockey gear, complete with helmet and hockey stick.

The British Bulldog talks with WWF Chairman Vince McMahon, saying tht that he was promised a shot at the WWF Championship Match. Bulldog is placed in the Six-Pack Challenge at Unforgiven, replacing The Undertaker. The Bulldog then says he wants to return the favor by being the special guest referee in the Brahma Bullrope Match between Triple H and The Rock. Vince makes it so.

Triple H beats The Rock in a Brahma Bullrope Match. During the match, Jeff Jarrett shows up from out of the crowd, hits her in the back of the head with a frying pan, places the frying pan in her hand and then applies the Figure Four Leg Lock on her as she is knocked out cold before retreating through the crowd as The British Bulldog, The Rock and Triple H are on the stage. Shortly after this, The British Bulldog clotheslines The Rock before hitting him with the running powerslam, despite having a confrontation with Triple H earlier in the match. Triple H hits the Pedigree to win the Triple H Challenge 3-2 and save his spot in the Six-Pack Challenge at Unforgiven. After the match, Bulldog and Triple H continue to attack The Rock.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for September 20, 1999

Sting has officially signed for a return match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Hulk Hogan for Halloween Havoc.

Psychosis and Juventud Guerrera beat Rey Mysterio Jr. and Kidman. During the match, it is announced that WCW Mayhem will be released for Nintendo 64 and Sony PlayStation in 3 days, 3 hours and 50 minutes. (At the top of the show, members of the audience behind Tony Schiavone and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan are seen holding an oversized box of the N64 version of the game and an oversized box simulating the jewel case for the PlayStation version of the game.) After the match, Juventud Guerrera and Psychois are attacked by Konnan and Eddie Guerrero at ringside, and Kidman tries to unmask Psychosis only to be pulled off him Chavo Guerrero Jr. Eddie Guerrero has to keep Chavo away from everyone else, and Chavo argues with Eddie for hanging with Rey, Kidman and Konnan. Afterwards, Psychosis says he will put his mask on the line if Kidman will put his hair on the line. Kidman accepts the challenge, and the Lucha de Apuestes match is made for next week. Kidman says they don't have to wait until next week and that they can do it right now, but Chavo, Psychosis and Juvi head to the back.

Before the next match, Jimmy Hart says that he and Jerry Flynn turned their back on him for one brief second because he said he came in peace, and then Flynn was out on his back in the middle of the ring the next. He says that this week, it won't happen, and that Goldberg is next. Brian Knobbs tells everyone to shut up before telling Goldberg that he's been running around like he is the toughest man on the planet, then says he is the nastiest man on the planet. Just like all the losers in Cincinnati, Ohio and just like the Cincinnati Bengals got squashed, he will kick Goldberg's ass.

Goldberg beats Brian Knobbs, despite the use of a megaphone and a steel chair as weapons and the distraction and attempted interference by Jimmy Hart. After the match, Goldberg addresses Sid Vicious, saying he packed his bags and left like a little girl when he threw a challenge his way. He says Sid has amassed quite a record, but so has he, and since Sid has the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, he wants it. Since he has to go through him, he is going to get it. He says Sid has been a great intimidator over the last several months, but intimidation is his game. Once the hunted, he is now the hunter, and there is no fear in his eyes; only anger, which is directed and will be taken out on Sid. Goldberg gives Sid five weeks, because at Halloween Havoc, the United States title is his and Sid is next.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. As Flair arrives, it is announced that as per the WCW Executive Committee, a match involving Ric Flair has been signed. Flair says we have a real live ballgame now, and tells Sting and Lex Luger they can kick his ass again tonight, as he is here and they have another chance to do so and he is still up and running. He then tells Sting he will slap the paint off his face tonight. All of a sudden, "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit shows up, and says he does not mean to rain on his parade. He says that Flair deserves a shot at Sting - or what is left of him - after he gets done with Sting tonight, as he has a contract for a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He says he has been waiting for two weeks, and he will not wait for a third. He tells Sting that if he is man enough, he will come to the ring and defend the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against him. Flair says that if Benoit has a contract, he wants Sting out here now. Benoit says it is his time, and tells Sting to face him alone for the World title if he has the guts, because the rest of The Revolution (Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Shane Douglas) will be in the back, he has something to prove to the world and Sting will find out how intense he is. Flair says he is coming to find Sting backstage right now, and runs to the back.

We see footage for the Nitro Girls tryouts in Raleigh, North Carolina. "Mean" Gene Okerlund then introduces Kimberly and Tygris to the stage. Kimberly says there is a new finalist representing North Carolina: Ashley Beck. Tygris then talks about the tryouts for Cincinnati, Ohio, saying that the turnout was bigger than in any other city they have been to so far. The two potential finalists are Keisha Simpson and Robbi Spencer. The two finalists are brought out to the stage, and viewers can vote on who goes on to the finals at WCW.com. The next tryouts for the Nitro Girls contest are at Main Event Fitness at Marietta, Georgia and the $3 Cafe in Buckhead, Georgia.

"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit vs. Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship ends in a no-contest.. Before the match begins, it is announced that for the first time ever, Hulk Hogan, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart will be on the same team next week in a six-man tag team match against Diamond Dallas Page, Lex Luger and Sting. During the match, Sting shoves Benoit into referee Nick Patrick, sandwiching him into the corner. Benoit hits Sting with a Tombstone Piledriver, but Nick Patrick is out cold and Benoit tries to revive him. Benoit puts Sting in a German Suplex bridge pin, but Lex Luger runs into the ring and hits Benoit with a baseball bat. Patrick rolls over and tries to count the pinfall, then "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up and goes after Luger only to be leveled with a Diamond Cutter by Diamond Dallas Page, who has just run into the ring. Suddenly, Hulk Hogan shows up, and DDP, Luger and Sting clear the ring. Sting retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship

Berlyn beats Scott Armstrong after Berlyn's bodyguard punches Armstrong in the face with a taped fist. Before the next match, it is announced that Diamond Dallas Page and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair will go one-on-one later tonight. After the match, Berlyn puts Scott Armstrong in a submission maneuver with his knee on Armstrong's back, and Brad Armstrong runs into the ring to protect Scott.

We see footage from earlier tonight where Violent J and Vampiro tells Shaggy 2 Dope to be aerial and to be careful in his match tonight.

Tony Schiavone plugs the WCW Hotline.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP says nobody has done more for professional wrestling than him and that he has done more for professional wrestling than Pete Rose has done for baseball. He says the only thing more pathetic than the fans in Cincinnati, Ohio is "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. At one time, he thought Flair was the greative active former World champ of all time, but Flair just won't go. He says Lex Luger and Sting tried to help Flair find his way last week and help him retire, which he says is something that has to happen. He says that Flair is no longer the man, and that it must kill Flair that he has done all that Flair has done in over 25 years in a mere five. He says he is above Flair in every way imaginable, and tonight, he will take Flair to "Bang Town" permanently.

Halloween Havoc is coming live to pay-per-view on Sunday, October 24 at 8 PM Eastern!

Evan Karagias beats Blitzkrieg. Near the end of the match, Sid Vicious shows up with referee Charles Robinson, and makes quick work of both Blitzkrieg and Karagias. Sid's streak increases to 85-0, then Sid tells the crowd for Goldberg if they want to. He tells Goldberg that he comes out to the ring with his police protection and challenges him as he accuses him of jumping people from behind. He tells Goldberg he does what he wants, and at Halloween Havoc, he will give Goldberg what he thinks he wants, but they will play by his rules. Between now and Halloween Havoc, Goldberg cannot come within 10 feet of him or touch him. If Goldberg doesn't do what he says, he will lose his opportunity. If he is a good boy, he will become just another work on his march to the year 2000, when he will be declared "The Millennium Man" and hold the record of WCW, and there is nothing anybody can do about it. Sid then puts Karagias in a powerbomb before pinning him, increasing the streak to 86-0.

We see a video package for The Revolution ("The Canadian Crippler" CHris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Shane Douglas).

Perry Saturn beats Eddie Guerrero after Shane Douglas punches Eddie in the back of the head with a steel chain as referee Nick Patrick deals with the rest of The Revolution ("The Canadian Crippler" Chris, Dean Malenko, Douglas) and the rest of the group that is now officially christened The Filthy Animals that Eddie is a part of (Rey Mysterio Jr., Konnan, Kidman) at ringside. Perry does not like this, and reluctantly takes the win.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund talks about how Hulk Hogan lost the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Halloween Havoc last year, and how he has become the new people's champion in the last year. He then interviews Hogan. Hogan says Las Vegas, Nevada is on the tip of his tongue, but it is nice to see the red and yellow running wild in Cincinnati, Ohio. He tells Sting he is not impressed, and come Halloween Havoc, he will train, say a prayer and kick his ass. He is not happy with Lex Luger hitting him with a bat and hitting Bret "The Hit Man" Hart with a low shot with the bat, and tonight, he saw him trying to take out "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Due to these actions, the WCW Executive Committee made next week's six-man tag team match, where he will kick Lex Luger's ass on the way to Halloween Havoc. He also says he never thought that he and Bret had anything in common, but they do. He also never thought he would have something in common with Flair, but they do. Next week, he, Flair and Bret will take Sting, Luger and Diamond Dallas Page and kick their asses before he kicks Sting's ass at Halloween Havoc.

Before the next match, Vampiro and The Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope) hold up signs saying MTV, radio and "your mama" fear ICP.

Lenny retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Shaggy 2 Dope after Shaggy 2 Dope is shoved into Lodi, who lands on Violent J and Vampiro at ringside as he keeps them at bay. When the match again, the crazed Lodi fan from previous weeks gets decked by Lodi after charging the ring, and gets escorted out of the arena.

We see a video package for The Nitro Girls. The search for the Nitro Girl will take place in Atlanta, Georgia (September 25); Kansas City, Missouri (October 2); Biloxi, Mississippi (October 9); Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (October 16); and Phoenix, Arizona (October 23).

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Rick Steiner. Rick says there are only two men who can walk the road, and if you are not a Steiner, you have no chance. He fears no man because he is the man, and there is no man who can outwrestle or outfight him. However, he has two respect for two men: Sid Vicious, who will take Goldberg's head off, and his brother Scott Steiner, who appears for the first time in quite some time with his arms bigger than ever. Scott says he is back, and asks Okerlund if he has seen an arm bigger than his. He says he was watching SportsCenter the other night and hearing about athletes beating records, but he has been chasing the record of Wilt Chamberlain, who says he has laid down 20,000 women. Come January, he will meet that milestone, and he asks if any freaks want to help him break that record, all they have to do is meet him in the back, as all his freaks know that there's nothing finer than Scott Steiner and that nobody pushes it like Poppa Pump. He tells all the freaks that he is his hook-up, and to holler if you hear him. Last time he was in WCW, he was the United States Heavyweight Champion; now Hulk Hogan has left the nWo and is making him puke yellow and red. He says that Hogan has forgotten the nWo's motto: "You don't leave the nWo until we tell you." He tells Hogan to pray that God strikes him down, as he can take all the vitamins and saying all the prayers he wants, because he will be kissing his ass as nobody leaves nWo without paying the price. He tells Hogan he is coming after him and that Hell is coming with him.

Booker T beats Kanyon. Before the match, is is announced that WCW Mayhem will be released for Nintendo 64 and Sony PlayStation in three days, one hour and thirteen minutes.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats Diamond Dallas Page by disqualification. During the match, Sting gets in the ring and tries to hit Flair with an elbow drop, but he rolls out of the way and puts Sting in the Figure Four. Luger shows up and hits Flair with a baseball bat, ending the match. Hulk Hogan then runs in and fights Luger, but Sting hits him in the leg with the baseball bat.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 20, 1999

RAW

WWF co-owner and Champion Vince McMahon shows up to start tonight's show. He says that for those who do not believe anything can happen in the WWF, they have to be a believer now. When Triple H personally provoked him last week on SmackDown, it was not about the WWF Championship; it was about kicking his ass. Thanks to - of all people - "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, he became the WWF Champion. Being the champion is all business, however, and as per a previous contract, he is prohibited from participating in day-to-day business activities. He is living up to his word and relinquishing the WWF Championship, and declare as a WWF spokesperson that the winner of this Sunday's Six Pack Challenge will become the undisputed WWF Champion. Austin shows up, and even though he still hates his guts and that Vince may still may hate his, the WWF has not been the same without him. Austin says that by relinquishing the title and taking himself out of the Six-Pack Challenge at Unforgiven, that leaves five people in the match, and nobody knows a six-pack better than him. He proposes taking his place in the match and taking the WWF Championship back. Vince says he cannot do that, as that would be going against the contract. Triple H then shows up with Chyna and his police escort, and tells Vince he cannot and will not. He does not know what they are trying to do, but he has every right to be in the match at Unforgiven. He accuses Vince and Austin of stealing from him like thieves in the night, and taking the WWF title from him. Vince says "I think, here in Houston [, Texas], they're calling your name again, which sets off a flurry of "asshole" chants. Triple H says he doesn't care what the fans think, and says they can all kiss his ass. Austin says he can't hear Triple H because he's got 19,000 people calling him an asshole. Triple H tells Vince he has two choices: give him his slot in the Six-Pack Challenge, or one of his family members will take a ride out of the arena on a stretcher. WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up, and says nobody in his family will be hurt by the likes of him, and that tonight, he and Chyna will face him and Vince in a tag team match because "the McMahon boys wanna get them some." Austin asks Vince when he will stop letting his son - whom he calls "hot-headed" - run his company, grow some balls and take the WWF back. Vince says nothing would make him easier, but he states that the contract they signed before Fully Loaded is what is keeping him from doing just that after The Undertaker failed to defeat Austin. Austin asks Vince if his lawyers read the fine print, because the fine print states that only one person can reinstate him into the World Wrestling Federation, and that person is him. Austin says he will reinstate him right now if he grants him a title shot. Vince gives him his title shot, but it will not be at Unforgiven. It will be against the winner of the Six-Pack Challenge, and he knows it will be Triple H as there are five other guys who want to kick Triple H's ass as much as he wants to do it. Triple H says that's fine, but tells Vince "Screw you." Vince says "Screw me, Vince McMahon? No, no, screw you!" Since the referees are on strike, there is a special guest enforcer for the Six-Pack Challenge, and that enforcer is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Triple H is absolutely livid.

The Rock meets an elderly security guard whose birthday is today. The Rock sings for her, and hands her $100. He almost tells her to stick a bottle of Maalox up her own candy ass, but he cannot bring himself to do and just wishes her a happy birthday.

Mankind is seen in the boiler room of the arena.

The Undertaker, Big Show, Mideon and Viscera are seen conducting business backstage. Suddenly, Mideon shows up in the boiler room and attacks Mankind. Mankind fights back with a trash can, then Viscera shows up and answers with one of his own before he and Mideon get him out of the boiler room. Big Show then grabs Mankind and joins in.

During the commercial break, Big Show, Mideon and Viscera continue to take the boots to Mankind until The Rock shows up and fights them all. Mankind tries to give The Rock a high-five, but The Rock walks away.

It is announced that Chris Jericho will take on "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock at Unforgiven. We then see a video package chronicling the events between them.

We see footage from outside the arena from earlier today where the referees are still on strike.

Michael Cole interviews Mankind, who says The Rock saved him backstage because that is what best friends do. He then challenges The Undertaker and Big Show to a match for the WWF Tag Team Championships. Suddenly, The Rock shows up, complaining that Big Show, Mideon and Viscera broke his specially-made Rolex before placing his new shirt on Michael Cole's head. He says that if The Undertaker wants to talk about how his mouth writes checks that his ass can't cash, and says that The Undertaker is acting like he just found out he talks trash. The Rock says that he can talk trash in his sleep. Tonight, he will lay the smack down on The Undertaker's candy ass. Mankind then takes the shirt off Cole's head and says that everything between him and The Rock is strictly platonic.

Michael Cole interviews Big Show and The Undertaker. The Undertaker tells The Rock to get everyone who writes his jokes for him to write him a eulogy, because tonight, his mouth has written a check his ass can't cash. If they want a match, they will do it their way, and makes it "Dark Side Rules." He also says there will be a little surprise. He tells The Rock to keep talking and entertaining, but they will find out what The Rock is made of, and that it is not much.

Ivory shows up. She says that the baggage claims department in the local airport smelled like animal urine, three rodents running through his dressing room and that there are plenty of cockroaches around town. She then announces that Luna Vachon has stepped forward and requested a match for the WWF Women's Championship at Unforgiven. Because the title finally has class, style and grace behind, she will defend the title against any "skank" or "filthy" beast on the WWF roster, and tells Luna she has her match. She then issues an open challenge to any woman in the crowd. A woman is picked out, but wshe removes her hair - which turns out to be a wig - and reveals herself to be Luna, who beats Ivory in an impromptu match with Steve Lombardi aka The Brooklyn Brawler as the referee.

Michael Cole interviews D'Lo Brown, who states that his match with "Sexual Chocolate' Mark Henry is about a friendship lost. He says that he was helping Mark get in shape only to get stabbed in the back. When he did, he drew a big line in the stand. At Unforgiven, he will take two steps over the line, look him in the eye and kick him the gut so he can bend over and pick up his "punk" card and he can beat the dogshit out of him. He is then attacked from behind with some props by Mark Henry.

WWF co-owner Vince and Shane McMahon get ready for their match with Triple H and Chyna.

D'Lo Brown is seen leaving the arena, supposedly looking for "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry.

Terry Taylor interviews Test and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon. Test says Jeff Jarrett may get his rocks off by playing with the girls, but he went too far last week when he put his hands on Stpehanie. Tonight, they're having a street fight. Jarrett shows up with Debra and Miss Kitty, and says the only way their having a fight is they do it on his terms, and he challenges him and Stephanie to a mixed tag team match. Test is reluctant, but Stephanie tells Jarrett "you're on."

The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) show up. Before the next match, Buh Buh Ray Dudley says Houston, Texas sucks, and introduces himself and D-Von Dudley. D-Von tells The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) that they are as dumb as The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw), then repeats The Dudley Commandments: thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and thou shalt not mess with The Dudley Boyz. The Acolytes show up to guest on commentary for the next match. Bradshaw states The Acolytes have commandments, too: thou shalt not drink our beer, thou shalt not mess with our racks, and thou shalt not cut a promo on The Acolytes. He also says that Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) did not tell them about the third one. Stevie Ray then shows up dressed as a Dudley Boy, and fights Gangrel outside of the ring. Bradshaw goes on to say that they run Public Enemy out of the WWF, and that they will do the same to The Dudley Boyz.

The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat The New Brood (Jeff and Matt Hardy). The referee in this match is Harvey Wippleman. After the match, The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) attack The Dudley Boyz. Stevie Richards also gets attacked as soon as he gets involved in the brawl, which spills into the crowd.

Jeff Jarrett attacks Janet, the makeup woman, before the next match. Jim Dotson and Sgt. Slaughter have to pull Jeff off of her before he can lock in the Figure Four Leg Lock.

Jeff Jarrett and Debra Test and Stephanie McMahon. The Brooklyn Brawler is the referee in this match. During the match, Debra refuses to be tagged in, and Test tags Stephanie McMahon in to make the pin. After the match, Jarrett chews Debra out, then puts her in the Figure Four Leg Lock. Miss Kitty begs for Jarrett to stop. Jarrett is called an asshole on his way out.

The Undertaker is seen talking to Kane in a tractor trailer backstage.

We see more footage from outside the arena from earlier today, where the referees are still on strike.

WAR ZONE

Before the next match, The Rock says The Undertaker runs his mouth about "Dark Side Rules" like it is supposed to impress him, and asks if that means that he is going to show up with Mideon and Viscera come down with him and Big Show. He says Mideon has Mickey Mouse tattoos and a 57-pound head, and Viscera looks like a fat-ass Fat Albert wanna-be. The Rock says he writes all his material, then tells The Undertaker to come down to the ring so he can check him into the Smackdown Hotel. The Undertaker then guests on commentary, and says "Dark Side Rules" says he does not come to the match without a plan. Mideon and Viscera show up and become Big Show's tag team partners for the match.

During the match, Kane shows up, gets on the top rope and hits Big Show with a diving clothesline before knocking Big Show out of the ring. The Undertaker says Kane will pay for this as leaves. Mideon falls victim to a Rock Bottom and The People's Elbow as Mankind puts the Mandible Claw on Viscera.

Terry Taylor interviews Marianna, who has a big red bruise on the left side of her lips. She says that she has done some things that she is not proud of and, in some cases, downright ashamed of. He says that the incident with Shawn Stasiak was a big mistake, and that she has tried to apologize to Chaz repeatedly. Chaz shows up, asking Marianna what she is talking about, and ends up being escorted out of the arena by the police.

Backstage, The Undertaker tells Mideon, Viscera and Big Show that he is sick and tired of Kane, and that he wants Kane's heart in his hands by the end of the night.

As the next match begins, Val Venis shows up with "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman's duffel bag full of weapons, and guests on commentary.

Shawn Stasiak beats "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman. Harvey Wippleman is the referee for this match. During the match, Blackman grabs his bag of weapons and finds a vibrator in his bag. This distracts Blackman, and Stasiak gets the schoolboy pin for the win.

As The Undertaker looks for Kane, WWF co-owners Vince and Shane McMahon talk strategy for their match with Triple H and Chyna.

The Undertaker shows up. The referees are seen watching the ring from a balcony level in the building. The Undertaker tells Kane that enough is enough, and that he has given him every opportunity to earn his respect and his forgiveness for everything he has ever done, but he is weak and a coward. He says that it ends here, and tells Kane to get in the ring as someone is leaving flat tonight. Kane shows up, and The Undertaker says he is going to do what he should have done a long tme ago. Big Show, Mideon and Viscera show up, and Kane notices them. THe Undertaker pushes Kane out of the ring, and Big Show and Mideon attack Kane as Viscera pours gasoline on Kane. As Big Show tries to light a blowtorch, Mankind shows up and strikes them all with a baseball bat before The Rock shows up and does the same.

We see a nearby cemetery in what seems to be footage from earlier today. Outside of the cemetery is a makeshift grave, and Al Snow stands in front of it with two Rottweilers as he holds a shovel in his hand. A cross with the word "Pepper" on it is at the foot of the grave. He apologizes for Pepper for not putting him in a real grave, as the people at the cemetery would not let him. He says he has called the police, and that he has finally given him a real, proper burial of sorts. He hopes that Pepper rests in peace now that his suffering is at an end, and while he let him down in life, he will not let him down in death. Come Unforgiven, he will make sure The Big Boss Man pays for what he did to him and burns in Hell. We then see a still image from GTV of The Big Boss Man urinating on Pepper's grave, as the footage is so vile that it cannot be shown on TV.

Before the next match, The Big Boss Man tries to speak before Hardcore and Crash Holly show up. Hardcore Holly tells The Big Boss Man it takes a big, tough guy to pick on a poor, defenseless animal, and decides to see how tough he is by challenging him to a hardcore match to see if he has what it takes to become a Hardcore Champion. He says he knows he is tough and hardcore 24/7, and since Boss Man is always walking about hard times, but from what he has seen backstage, he couldn't give anyone a hard time, let alone be hardcore.

Hardcore Holly beats The Big Boss Man. The Brooklyn Brawler is the referee for this match. During the match, Hardcore Holly hits The Big Boss Man with a drink pitcher to the face, cutting Boss Man near the eye. Also during the match, Al Snow shows up on the TitanTron. Boss Man responds by handcuffing Hardcore Holly to the middle rope, and Crash Holly hits Boss Man in the head with a turnbuckle bolt to help his cousin get the win.

A camera is seen at a nearby strip club. "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry is seen being entertained by a dancer when he is attacked by D'Lo Brown.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett tries to attack Chyna with a guitar backstage. Referees try to restore order and keep Triple H away as Chyna clubs Jarrett repeatedly in the back. WWF co-owners Vince and Shane McMahon makes some last-second preparations.

Before the next match, Triple H says that at Unforgiven, he will prove once again to the world that he is the game, because he will once again be the WWF Champion. When he goes through five others - Undertaker, Mankind, Big Show, Kane and The Rock - he will be the undisputed champion in the World Wrestling Federation, and there is not a damn thing anybody can do about it, including WWF co-owner Vince McMahon and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Austin may be the special guest enforcer, but if he sticks his nose in his business, he will put him back on "the cripple shelf where he left him last summer."

We find out that WWF co-owner Shane McMahon is on his own for the next match as WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is trapped in his dressing room with a forklift...almost. Shane is joined by Test for this match.

Test and Shane McMahon beat Triple H and Chyna by disqualification. "Doctor" Tom Prichard is the referee for this match. During the match, Jeff Jarrett shows up and attacks Test, and Chyna attacks Jarrett before chasing him to the back, leaving Triple H on his own. After Triple H hits Shane with a low blow, he punches out Prichard before laying Test out with a Pedigree. He then does the same to Shane after another low blow. Triple H then grabs a steel chair and works on Test's injured shoulder before hitting Shane with the chair. As Triple H leaves, he is attacked with a steel chair by WWF co-owner Vince McMahon, who is now freed from his dressing room.
