Fall Brawl 1999 - The Results

Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman and Eddie Guerrero beat Vampiro and The Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope). Rey has to be helped to the back after accidentally injuring one of his knees during the match.

The Revolution ("The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko) are interviewed by Chad Damiani for WCW.com. After Perry Saturn guarantees that The Revolution will win all of their matches tonight, The Revolution immediately leaves.

Lenny retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Kaz Hayashi with help from Lodi.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sting. Sting says Lex Luger is close from losing any kind of friendship they ever had, and that all he says to say is that tonight is huge for him, and if he sticks his nose in his business against Hulk Hogan, it will end the same way it did last week. He says there is a comfort level between himself and Hogan as Hogan has proven himself week after week and is walking the straight line, and he has no problem with him until they step in the ring. As for the potential of being a nine-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, he says that it is possible, and he tells Hogan that he is back in black and that tonight, it's showtime.

The First Family (Brian Knobbs and Hugh Morrus) beat The Revolution (Shane Douglas and Dean Malenko) in a no-disqualification tag team match.

Rick Steiner retains the WCW World Television Championship against Perry Saturn. During the match, it is announced that Buff Bagwell has not made it to the arena yet for his match against Berlyn, and that another WCW superstar will be taking his place. It is also announced that referees have been wearing black armbands and the announcers are wearing black bowties in memory of Brian Hildebrand aka referee Mark Curtis, who passed away last week in his battle with cancer.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund gets an impromptu interview with Hulk Hogan, who says he has been in the arena since noon and he is sick of everyone mistrusting him. He says he has sworn not to cross his kids or the fans. He says he does not do things' he plans things, and if he wanted to stab Sting in the back, he would have done it a long time ago. After all that has gone on, he will have to prove himself one more time. When he steps into the ring, he and Sting are friends, but when the match begins, he is all business. He says that if Lex Luger or anybody in the back wants a piece of him, they can come get it. He then says that Sting can turn his back all he wants, and that Sting is at his best when he pins him. He swears that there will be no stabbing in the back tonight.

It is announced that Buff Bagwell has not made it yet, and that his match with Berlyn is next. Another wrestler has agreed to take his place. After Berlyn shows up, it is announced that Bagwell has been replaced by "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan.

Berlyn beats "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan after Berlyn's bodyguard clotheslines Duggan at ringside into the exposed concrete floor. (In reality, Buff Bagwell is in the arena, but is not in the match due to refusing to lose to Berlyn backstage, and not wanting any part of the match. He is replaced with Duggan, but Duggan apparently wants nothing to do with it either, as he no-sells Berlyn's offense and refuses to cooperate with him in the ring.) After the match, Buff Bagwell makes it to the arena only to find out from production agent Mike Graham that his match is over. Bagwell runs into the ring and hugs Duggan, but Duggan pushes him away, angry at his loss againt Berlyn.

Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) beat The West Texas Rednecks (Barry and Kendall Windham) to become the WCW World Tag Team Champions for the ninth time. During the match, Curt Hennig hits Stevie Ray in the back of the head with the cowbell, but Stevie Ray is not the legal man. Booker T manages to get back in the ring and pin Knedall Windham to win the tag team titles.

Sid Vicious beats "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit to become the WCW United States Heavyweight Champion!

Goldberg beats Diamond Dallas Page. Before the match begins, referee Mickey Jay finds a chain on Diamond Dallas Page as he checks him for weapons. When DDP shoves him, he also drops a handful of quarters. He then attacks Goldberg from behind, starting the match early. Shortly after that, DDP threatens to leave if the fans do not stop chanting for Goldberg, which only causes them to chant for Goldberg even louder. DDP stays true to his word and tries to leave through the crowd, but Goldberg grabs him and brings him back into the ring. After this, DDP pokes Mickey Jay in the eyes as he kicks Goldberg in the crotch, allowing him to hit Goldberg with a foreign object. Later in the match, Bam Bam Bigelow and Kanyon get involved, with Bigelow distracting Mickey Jay while Kanyon smashes a a glass plate into the back of Goldberg's head, which does not help DDP win the match. As DDP confronts Mickey Jay over the near-fall, Bigelow and Kanyon get clotheslined before DDP turns around and gets Speared. Goldberg then hits the Jackhammer for the win.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up before the next match to wish both Sting and Hulk Hogan the best of luck.

Sting beats Hulk Hogan to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship for the ninth time. During the match, Diamond Dallas Page shows up and attacks referee Nick Patrick from behind before hitting Hogan with the Diamond Cutter. He then drags Sting on top of Hogan before dragging Sting towards Hogan, but Sting does not get the win. Hogan gets up and notices DDP in the ring, then Bret "The Hit Man" Hart gets in the right and fights DDP at ringside. Hogan fights Sting again, then Sid Vicious runs into the ring onlyu to receive a big boot. Lex Luger shows up with a baseball in his hand and Hogan attacks him, but Luger has handed his baseball bat to Luger. Sting hits Hogan with the bat, then puts him in the Scorpion Death Lock. Hogan is out cold, and Sting wins the World title. Luger and Sting hug after the match, revealing Luger and Sting were part of a plan against Hogan all along.
