Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for April 30, 2016

Matches from this episode are from Honor Rising: Japan 2016, except where indicated.

Hiroshi Tanahashi, "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin, Moose and Tomoaki Honma beat Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Cody Hall, Tama Tonga, Yujiro Takahashi).

Jay Lethal and Truth Martini talk about going to a Japanese massage parlor.

Jay Lethal retains the ROH World Championship against Lio Rush on April 1st as part of Night 1 of Supercard of Honor X. (The match was originally against Tomohiro Ishii for the ROH World Television Championship, but Ishii was unable to defend due to his commitments to Japan.) Jay Lethal then says there is nobody left to defend the title against, when all of a sudden, Colt Cabana makes a surprise appearance for the first time in five years. He says he left ROH to travel the world, and he has no regrets about becoming an independent wrestler. Jay Lethal says he's not worthy of a title shot after being gone for so long, but Colt says he can't live with himself if he didn't challenge him for the title, as it is the one big thing missing from his career. The next day, Jay Lethal considered Cheeseburger a more worthy contender, but as they wrestle, Colt Cabana demands a shot at the ROH World Championship. Lethal and Cabana brawl, and then have a match. Colt Cabana gets a surprise win against Lethal with a roll-up. They now face each other for the title at Global Wars.

Jay Lethal and Truth Martini go to the massage parlor...only to run into a strangely happy Delirious. We then see the superstars of Ring of Honor tour Japan.

The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) beat Bullet Club (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson).

We look back at ROH's time in Japan.

My predictions for WWE Payback 2016

AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns (c)

for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

AJ Styles has had a meteoric rise to the top since his debut at the Royal Rumble this year. After teaming with - and feuding against - Chris Jericho, AJ Styles has earned a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Will Styles take one of the most prestigious prizes in wrestling history and the most prestigious title in the WWE?

My prediction: Roman Reigns will probably retain.

Cesaro vs. The Miz (c)

for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

The Miz has taken the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Zack Ryder 24 hours after WrestleMania to begin his fifth Intercontinental reign...and now his wife, Maryse, has returned to WWE for the first time in years to make it happen. Now Cesaro has earned a shot at The Miz's title...can Cesaro give Miz less than a Hollywood ending?

My prediction: Cesaro will take the title.

Ryback vs. Kalisto (c)

for the WWE United States Championship

Yep, it's the rematch. It hasn't been built up, but build-up was hardly necessary. We all knew this match was coming.

My prediction: Kalisto will retain.

Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho

Finally, it's happening so many months after Night of Champions...which isn't even mentioned in this feud. Well, that's weird.

My prediction: Dean Ambrose will probably win this one.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

Well, they couldn't stand each other in NXT, and now they can't stand each other on the main roster either. Now they finally face each other on a main roster pay-per-view. How's this one going to pan out?

My prediction: Kevin Owens will probably win this one.

Natalya vs. Charlotte (c)

for the WWE Women's Championship

After Charlotte's arrogance took center stage the night after WrestleMania, the rest of the women's division walked out on her...and Natalya had finally had enough. It's now a battle against two wrestling dynasties at Payback. Who will win?

My prediction: Natalya will probably win this one and take the title.

Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady
vs.
The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch)

The winner of this match will take on The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

NXT is slowly taking over as The Vaudevillains take on the team of Enzo and Cass in the finals of the #1 Contenders' Tag Team Tournament. Who will go on to face The New Day?

My prediction: The Vaudevillains will probably win this one.

Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler

Because Baron Corbin has to start his post-Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal career on the main roster somewhere.

My prediction: Corbin will win this one.

Layin 'da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for April 28, 2016

Roman Reigns shows up to start tonight's show. He says he punched AJ Styles in the mouth on Raw, and at Payback, he'll do it again. He calls out AJ Styles, saying he doesn't believe him when he says that he doesn't want Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson involved. Instead, The Miz and Maryse show up. Miz tries to stir the pot, trying to prove what Roman Reigns is thinking, and says he deserves some recognition for that. In return, he gets punched in the mouth and knocked out of the ring by Roman as "recognition."

Roman Reigns officially takes on The Miz later tonight.

Renee Young interviews The League of Nations (Sheamus, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio). They say that they proved at WrestleMania that nobody can beat them, and with King Barrett out of the picture, they're stronger than ever. Rusev says that the three of them might as well be "The United Nations."

Kalisto, Sami Zayn and Cesaro beat The League of Nations (Sheamus, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio), who are officially no more, by count-out after Rusev and Del Rio walk out on Sheamus due to extreme arguing and miscommunication. Sheamus breaks out of the Cesaro Swing and walks to the back on his own, putting the cherry on the top of the irony sundae stemming from the earlier backstage interview.

The League of Nations (Sheamus, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio) get into a huge pushing and shoving match before Sheamus declares The League is finished.

Baron Corbin beats Damien Sandow.

Renee Young interviews AJ Styles, who says he doesn't care what Roman Reigns thinks of him and doesn't answer to him. He plans to be at ringside for Roman Reigns vs. The Miz.

It's time for The Ambrose Asylum with Dean Ambrose. Tonight's guests are Charlotte and Natalya. Ambrose says Chris Jericho made a mistake in letting go of the Walls of Jericho on Monday, as he doesn't let go either. Ambrose plans to beat Jericho this Sunday at Payback. He then gets down to business and starts the show, and introduces Natalya first. Natalya says that Sunday will be different from previous weeks, as Bret "The Hit Man" Hart will be in her corner to keep an eye on Ric Flair in case he interferes. Charlotte and Ric Flair arrive. Charlotte considers Bret Hart being in the Women's Championship match "disturbing," saying she's parading Bret Hart around, but Nattie tells her to look who's talking, and that Ric's a creepy old man who's only around to help her win. Ric isn't impressed, as he's beaten Bret on multiple occasions. Natalya says she will win on Sunday and give the WWE Universe the Women's Champion they deserve.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) take over on commentary for the next match. You read this right.

Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady beat The Social Outcasts (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) as The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) watch from the top of the entrance ramp. After the match, Big Cass says he and Enzo will be the new #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Goldust meets with R-Truth in the locker room. Goldust wants to keep "The Golden Truth" going, but Tyler Breeze shows up and R-Truth says he and Breeze are teaming up tonight as "The Gorgeous Truth" and says he and Goldust are better off as friends. Fandango shows up and tries to comfort Goldust to no avail.

Apollo Crews beats Stardust.

AJ Styles sits at ringside for the next match.

Roman Reigns beats The Miz. After the match, AJ Styles confronts Roman Reigns...and so does Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. Roman goes after Anderson and Gallows but falls victim to the numbers game. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) show up to make the save, and go at it with AJ Styles. Roman gets back up and goes after Luke Gallows with a Spear, then fights AJ Styles again, forcing AJ to retreat.

She then tells Shane this is his last night running Raw, and that at Payback, Vince McMahon will decide who runs Raw once and for all. Shane then asks the crowd who they want to see run the show. Not surprisingly, they want him. Stephanie McMahon mocks the crowd for their choice, and when Shane tells Stephanie to get out the ring. Miz says that the "no" answer gave Gallows and Anderson permission to beat up Roman, but Styles says he doesn't need help to beat Roman Reigns at Payback. Miz still keeps insisting that Styles ordered an attack on Roman somehow and that his "no" answer is still an admission of guilt, and Maryse eggs him on to the point that the two of them make out. When Miz turns around, AJ hits him in the face with a forearm to end the segment.

Catrina shows her disappointment with The Disciples of Death (Barrio Negro, El Siniestro de la Muerte and Terce) for losing their match tonight. When Catrina ask them for a reason not to destroy them, El Siniestro de la Muerte rips out the still-beating blackened hearts of his teammates, killing them. His teammates are now smoldering piles of ashes as El Siniestro de la Muerte seemingly absorbs their power.

He tells Lashley to come out and finish the job, but instead of Lashley, Drew gets Rockstar Spud instead. Spud says that we will see the last of Jeff Hardy tonight, but Galloway is ticked off with him. He wants to fight him, but Tyrus shows up. He says that nobody can beat him, and says that is the last time we'll see him and Bram due to TNA not sucking up to him, and that he's taking the TNA King of the Mountain CHampionship with him. Bram has other ideas and doesn't follow Eric Young out of the ring when he tells him to come with him, as he is "sick and tired of being Eric Young's lackey." Young calls him a loser, but Bram stops him and says the King of the Mountain title would look better on him, and says that Young "doesn't have the balls." Young hits Bram with a low blow and a piledriver, then grabs a pair of scissors from a member of the ring crew and cuts Bram's beard, saying Bram grew it because of him.

Jeff Hardy says he knows what he has to do, and knows he can't quit tonight.

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett and Maria are in the ring. He talks about how Ethan Carter III "spiraled out of control" and blamed it all on him. He says they had a battle, but he came out on top and took his power. He then says this ring is now his "kingdom of miracles." Ethan Carter III shows up, and says Bennett only won by disqualification and that he beat his ass. After mentioning everything the two of them have in common, Bennett calls EC3 "a pathetic little boy" and says he's done with him. EC3 tells Bennett he will stalk him and make his life miserable until he faces him again. Bennett insists he will always win and EC3 will always lose and blame his loss on something other than himself. He challenges him to a match next week, where the only way to win is through pinfall or submission. Bennett accepts, and EC3 tells him it'll take a miracle to beat him.

Gail Kim finally wakes up to Decay.

Al Snow shows up in the ring and calls out the audience on their hypocrisy concerning their wrestling watching habits, saying that today's audience is ruining wrestling. He plans to give the audience - and Mahabali Shera - a lesson in how wrestling should be.

Eli Drake heads to the production truck. He announces his new segment for next week called "Fact of Life."

Decay (Abyss, Crazzy Steve, Rosemary) head to the ring with Gail Kim. They call out Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode), who show up. It becomes obvious they want to trade her for the tag team titles, and demand a shot at the titles. Beer Money tells them they've got it, but they don't let her go right away. Abyss wants the match to have no rules or regulations, and Roode tells them they've got it. They let Gail Kim go.

Next week: Drew Galloway vs. Tyrus! "Mike Bennett" vs Ethan Carter III! Bram vs. Eric Young for the KOTM title! Beer Money vs. Decay for the tag team titles!

The "I Quit" Match between Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy ends with a thirty-five foot Jeff Hardy Swanton Bomb onto Matt Hardy after Jeff makes Matt pass out via submission. Jeff, who doesn't want the match to end until Matt utters the word "I quit," is able to get up, but Matt has to be fitted with a neck brace and stretchered out of the arena.

Total Divas Island - Total Divas recap for April 19, 2016

Nattie, Eva Marie, Brie and Nikki have a dinner in Paris. Nattie gets a text that Mandy is upset. Eva Marie understands, but doesn't really want Mandy involved. A young man named Justin tries to hit on Brie until he finds out she's married. After dinner, the four of them watch the Eiffel Tower light up and make a wish. Nikki mentions that John Cena is okay with marriage as long as she doesn't become a mother.

Paige, Alicia and Mandy walk around town. Mandy thanks Paige and Alicia for the support last night. The three of them take a selfie.

Rosa and Bobby go sightseeing around Paris. When they talk about the eventual marriage, they don't agree on anything involving marriage, and they both realize they will have to figure this out eventually.

Alicia tells Paige and Mandy she wants to do a photo shoot with the three of them. Costumes are involved.

Nattie does some make-up with Mandy, and tries to make it up for Mandy for making her feel left out. Alicia tries to spy on them, and has the feeling that Mandy is ditching her and Paige for Nattie.

Alicia talks with Rosa and Paige concerning Mandy. Rosa notices there is lack of communication between the other Divas, and everyone is on a short fuse because of it. Even Eva Marie notices that there is a weird vibe and that stuff is elevating. Suddenly, everyone gets in on the conversation concerning Alicia's photo shoot, which she decides to cancel. Everyone talks, and they all realize that nobody is talking concerning what they want to do. Afterwards, Eva Marie talks with Mandy, and Eva says that leaving Mandy feeling left out was the last thing she wanted to, and that she went to dinner with Brie and Nikki to mend her professional relationship with them. Mandy says he feels Eva's apology is sincere, but at the same time, Eva is coming off as defensive.

The Divas take part in a photo shoot, and all of the Divas have dinner together. Bobby has already returned home. Alicia toasts to everyone's friendship, and especially to Rosa. Rosa is happy to see that the sisterhood between the Divas is still intact.

As the Divas take in a show on Paris, we hear from the Divas about how they cherish their friendship between one another.

The Divas head back to America for a show in New Orleans. Rosa does her last interview before she has time off for a couple of months. After the interview, everyone celebrates. Rosa mentions that she and Bobby have decided to let their child decide if she wants to be Christian.

Two months later, Nikki heads to the doctor for an MRI, and Nikki's mom is here to babysit her new French Bulldog, Winston. Nikki is concerned about the results, as she may have to get surgery.

Rosa and Bobby head to the hospital to have the baby.

Nikki talks with Brie on the telephone. Nikki tells Brie that the bulge on her neck has probably gotten worse, and that the disc is no longer bulging but herniated.

Rosa's baby, a girl named Jordan, is finally delivered. Bobby's mom Terri is there at the hospital with Rosa. Rosa and Bobby had the baby in Pittsburgh to have the baby closer to his parents, but Rosa wishes her mom was here.

Nikki tells her mom about the results of the MRI. Nikki is afraid that she may never be able to wrestle again.

Rosa is finally at home with Bobby in Pittsburgh. She has not heard from her mother in two months, all because she told her that she and Bobby were letting Jordan decide if she wanted to be a Christian later in her life. Nevertheless, Rosa and Bobby keep their heads up.

Nikki wonders if this is the end of her and Brie's careers.

Rosa and Bobby have a drive around the neighborhood. Bobby says Rosa's mom should have been there, and that she needs to step up and be a grandma. Rosa mentions how her mom told her to tell her daughter that she will burn in Hell when she told her mom that she was letting Jordan make her own decision concerning whether or not to be a Christian later in life. Bobby is so cross with her mom hurting her that he doesn't even want Rosa's mom near Jordan. At this point, neither does Rosa.

Nikki calls John Cena on her way to the arena to talk to Mark Carrano. Nikki is worried about her career ending, but John tells her her priority should be being pain free.

Rosa and Bobby spend with Jordan. Rosa really wants to move to Pittsburgh after all that's happened between her and her mom, as she's happier with Bobby and his family. Bobby tells Rosa to take the good out of her situation with her mom and not to focus on the bad.

Brie and Nikki meet with Mark Carrano considering their careers at this juncture. Even Carrano is prepared for the possibility that Nikki's career might come to an end. After the meeting, Nikki feels like she hasn't had her last match yet. Brie thinks a lot of change is coming.

We see a preview of Total Bellas, coming this fall.

Bonus clip: Nikki calls John Cena after her MRI.

Bonus clip: Nattie does Rosa's make-up.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 18, 2016

The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) try to recruit Apollo Crews as their new fourth member after Curtis Axel mentions that Adam Rose is on "a half-baked, transdimensional search for a bunny" (obviously a jab on Adam Rose's second Wellness Policy violation and 60-day suspension). After the three of them come up with potential punny nicknames for Crews, Crews says he'll join...if one of them can beat him tonight. If they can't, they have to leave him alone...forever.

Dean Ambrose starts tonight's show with The Ambrose Asylum. His guest tonight is Shane McMahon, whom Ambrose credits for "giving him his big break in this talk show business." We see the footage of Shane diving off the top of the Cell for an elbow drop at WrestleMania, then Ambrose gives Shane kudos for having the guts to do it. When Ambrose asks what Shane's agenda is, Shane says it's the fans as they deserve better, and that WWE has now evolved and that this is the beginning of a new era. Suddenly, Kevin Owens shows up, and says he's saying the same crap as ever: a McMahon mad with power who has a personal vendetta against him, especially after Shane tossed him out of the building last week for threatening to beat up Sami Zayn. Owens says that Sami Zayn isn't good enough to make it on his own, but Sami Zayn shows up and says he got the call-up before Owens, and that he knows it drives him crazy and caused him to throw their friendship down the drain. He says that Owens wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him, and that Owens has now made a name for stabbing his friends in the back. Chris Jericho shows up. Jericho agrees with Owens, saying that Shane is "drunk with power" and that Shane should remember that he is the best at what he does after ending The Highlight Reel. All four men argue, and Dean tells them all to be careful around the potted plant in the ring. Shane then makes some matches: Jericho vs. Ambrose and Owens vs. Zayn, both at Payback. Shane then gets out of the ring, and Ambrose hands him the potted plant. All four men fight, and Zayn tosses out both Jericho and Owens.

Chris Jericho beats Sami Zayn after thumbing Zayn in the eye.

He tells Roman he's one heck of a champion and that he has it all, but he says that having the match of his life is what he does and that it will make him champion. Roman says he feels everything AJ said, as he had the match of his life at WrestleMania and that it's the reason the WWE Universe likes AJ. Roman says he will still win at Payback, as he'd rather be respected with the title than liked with out. AJ says he'd rather have both happen, as that would make him a phenomenal champion. AJ leaves, then Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson show up and attack Roman from behind.

Backstage, AJ Styles tells Roman Reigns that he did not expect Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson to attack him, but Roman doesn't believe him because they attacked The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) last week. AJ says he doesn't need his friends to win the title, but Roman tells him to bring all his friends, as in the end, he doesn't care.

Dolph Ziggler guests on commentary for the next match.

Baron Corbin beats Fandango after throwing him into Dolph Ziggler. After the match, Ziggler attacks Corbin from behind, but Corbin lays Ziggler out before he hits End of Days on him outside of the ring.

It's time for Miz TV. Tonight's guest is Cesaro...who shows up after The Miz and Maryse talk about Prince George before making out. Cesaro says the only royalty Miz is is "a royal pain in the ass." Both men argue about the WWE Intercontinental Championship, then The Miz quotes Taken when he promises he will retain the Intercontinental title at Payback. When he re-does the last part twice, Cesaro shuts Miz up and says he'll be the one taking the title. After Cesaro quotes the quintessential line from "Rowdy" Roddy Piper from They Live, Miz takes that as a challenge, but tells Cesaro he has a match against Rusev, who shows up with Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio. Cesaro says he's talked with Shane McMahon, saying he knew this would happen, and says that this match is now The Miz and The League of Nations (Sheamus, Del Rio and Rusev) vs. himself and The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods).

Heath says that sounds good and he will take on Sugar Face.

Kalisto beats Heath Slater after using Curtis Axel for leverage during the Salida del Sol.
