Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 4, 2016

Vince McMahon starts the show. When his music stops, everyone still sings the lyrics for a few seconds. He admits he enjoyed The Undertaker beating the crap out of Shane McMahon, but admits it got to him when Shane did the elbow drop at the top of the Cell. Vince says it proves that Shane can be foolish, but at the same time he has more respect for him. Vince acknowledges the craziness of the post-WrestleMania crowd, then thanks them. Shane McMahon makes a surprise appearance, and Vince says that he expected him to be in a hospital bed and that he has no right to be here. Shane says he's here for two things: to shake Vince's hand, and to thank the fans. He then says goodbye after Vince tells the fans it's their fault Shane got the hell beat out of him, but Vince tells him to get back here. Vince then decides to prove his point that Shane running the show would be a disaster by letting him Raw tonight.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up. They admit things did not go according to plan at WrestleMania, but still say that it was happening in Dallas. After advertising Booty-O's The Lion King-style, they promise they will walk out tonight still WWE Tag Team Champions.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) retain the WWE Tag Team Championships against The League of Nations (Sheamus and King Barrett). After the match, Sheamus gets upset and says he is sick and tired of The League of Nation's (Sheamus, Barrett, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio) lack of dominance, and says they're only as strong as their weakest link. Sheamus, Rusev and Del Rio then take their anger out on King Barrett, removing him from the group. All of a sudden, The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) take advantage of the situation and attack The League of Nations.

Renee Young interviews Vince McMahon, who is on the way out of the building. He says he's leaving because the show will be a disaster under Shane McMahon's eye.

Summer Rae is in the ring. She says that if she were in charge of her team, they would have won, and says that at least she didn't waste her WrestleMania moment flat on her face like Sasha Banks. Sasha Banks shows up, grabs the mic out of Summer's hand, says she's still The Boss and slaps the taste out of Summer Rae.

Chris Jericho answers, but he's not dressed for a match. Jericho says Roman is just another idiot, just like everyone in the audience tonight, and that nobody can compare to him, not even AJ Styles, and demands Roman put him at the head of the line for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship right now. They then notice The Dudley Boyz, and Enzo lays down some impressive insults before Big Cass challenges them. The Dudleys walk up to the apron, then jump off and head back up the entrance ramp.
