Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for April 5, 2016

Before the opening match, Eric Young says that this will be Jeff Hardy's last day in professional wrestling as he will piledrive him from the top of the cage.

Jeff Hardy beats Eric Young in Six Sides of Steel.

Dixie Carter pits Gail Kim against Madison Rayne and Jade with the Knockouts title on the line backstage...and also makes it clear that she's tired of Maria Kanellis' crap.

Jeff Hardy has a big bag of ice after what Eric Young has done to him, and says that "Hardy's Revenge" is successful.

Jeremy Borash gives Matt Hardy and Drew Galloway the last word before they face each other tonight. Matt Hardy shows up first and says that he deserves to be world champion, not Drew Galloway. Galloway shows up and says calling this the last word was a mistake because Matt Hardy won't shut up. Hardy keeps saying he is a champion, and calls Galloway a theif who stole the title that he's taking back. Galloway says he and Jeff Hardy had an awesome match last week, and even though he can barely walk, he will walk away champion after he beats Matt. Suddenly Tyrus grabs the microphone and states that he is considering cashing in his Bound For Gold title shot for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship that he won back at Bound For Glory.

The Pope has his Street Fight with Lashley tonight...and he's ready.

Tyrus meets Ethan Carter III backstage. EC3 congratulates Tyrus on his decision making as of late, but reminds Tyrus that "karma is a Carter" and that he cost him a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Tyrus asks EC3 if he has a crystal ball, as he says that only he himself knows what he's going to do. Tyrus tells EC3 he hates him, but EC3 tells him he hates him more.

Lashley beats "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero in a Street Fight. Lashley continues to attack The Pope after the match, but Ethan Carter III shows up and stares him down. Lashley casually leaves the ring, then EC3 is suddenly attacked from behind with a steel chair by "The Miracle" Mike Bennett.

After the break, EC3 gets up and tells "The Miracle" Mike Bennett to get back here and finish the job if he wants a fight. Maria shows up to speak, but EC3 tells her to stuff it and tells her to bring Bennett out here. Bennett shows up and says he's nothing like Ethan Carter III, and tells him to stop making excuses. After Bennett calls him "a sad, pathetic little bitch," and says he was on top of the world until he lost the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and became absolutely nothing. He has no problem fighting him because he knows how it will all end. EC3 tells him to finish the job, and Bennett says he will...but not tonight. He'll do it next week. EC3 goes after Bennett, and they both brawl, taking the fight all the way to the parking lot. They brawl until Bennett hits Ethan Carter III in the gut with a tire iron, then escapes in a getaway car.

Tyrus and Rockstar Spud talk backstage. Spud thinks this is a plan to hand the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, but Tyrus tells him he's no fool and that he's been planning this for a while.

Jade beats Gail Kim and Madison Rayne to become the TNA Knockouts Champion after Maria shows up and knocks Gail Kim off the top rope.

Drew Galloway is impressed with Tyrus for making tonight more interesting, but says he will still walk out TNA World Champion after tonight.

Gregory Shane Helms says he gave Eddie Edwards a golden opportunity last week. He and Trevor Lee head to the ring to see if he takes it.

Billy Corgan confronts Al Snow backstage over his actions on Grado last week as Snow tries to justify his actions. Snow is suspended one week without pay and must publicly apologize.

Gregory Shane Helms and Trevor Lee are in the ring. Helms calls out Eddie Edwards, wanting to know what his decision is concerning teaming up with Trevor Lee for a run for TNA World Tag Team Championship. Eddie Edwards respects Helms and appreciates the offer, but says Helms is in it for the automatic title shot when that shot belongs to him and Davey Richards. He also questions being part of a "Helms Dynasty" when there's the Wolves Nation. He declines the offer. Helms says he'll get what if he wants, and if he can't get it with him, he'll get it through him. Enter Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode), who show up, make fun of Helms' jacket and says that if he wants some, to come get some. Storm then tells the tag team division to "keep linin' 'em up so we can knock 'em down." Suddenly, Decay (Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, Abyss) show up and challenge them. The two teams then brawl until security breaks them up.

Matt Hardy says he lives by a motto: "Matt Hardy will not die." As Matt keeps saying that Drew Galloway stole the world title from him, Tyrus draws near. When Matt turns around, he asks if Tyrus is ready. Tyrus simply stares at him.

Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) issues an open challenge for the TNA World Tag Team Championships next week!

Drew Galloway retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Matt Hardy with the Iron Maiden despite interference from both Tyrus and Rockstar Spud and with the help of Jeff Hardy, who takes Tyrus out of the equation.

Next week: "The Miracle" Mike Bennett vs. Ethan Carter III! The grudge between Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy escalates!
