Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 11, 2016

The pre-show begins with a stunning announcement: due to overwhelming demand, Shane McMahon will be running Raw for a second straight week.

Tonight's episode is in memory of Robert Windham, better known as "Blackjack Mulligan."

Shane McMahon starts tonight's show. He says that Vince may have been amused by him running Raw last week, but here he is again. He announces Natalya vs. Charlotte for the WWE Women's Championship as well as a tag team tournament where the winners take on The New Day. AJ Styles takes on Roman Reings for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but first he has to face Sami Zayn...and if Sami Zayn wins, the world title match at Payback will become a triple threat match. Suddenly, Kevin Owens shows up and says that Sami Zayn doesn't deserve a world title shot and that he's tired of being screwed over. Shane calls Owens out on everything as Owens keeps insisting that he was robbed, and that he still hasn't gotten his rematch for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Shane gives him a shot at the title, but he has to beat one man tonight: Cesaro.

Cesaro beats Kevin Owens to earn a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship after reversing two pop-up power bomb attempts and repeated focus on his injured shoulder from Owens.

Charlotte is still irritated that the entire women's division ruined her moment last week, and that Natalya has earned a shot at the WWE Women's Championship. Suddenly, Dr. Phil shows up and congratulates Charlotte, but says that Ric Flair is holding her back from being who she really is due to his constant interference and tells her to quit cheating. He also "wooos" Ric Flair before Flair can "wooo" at him.

Kevin Owens tells Shane McMahon he's been screwed again, this time by Cesaro, and that whatever happens to Sami Zayn tonight will be on him. Shane kicks Owens out of the arena as a result.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up. They say that the tag team division is on fire, and they all want the tag team titles. We see the tournament bracket (which is New Day themed), and the first match of the tournament is about to begin.

The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto) to continue on to the semi-finals of the tag team tournament. Before we get to the match from commercial break, D-Von seriously hurts Kalisto with a nasty clothesline, and Kalisto is down for the rest of the match. After the match, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady show up and tell The Dudley Boyz to step aside after Bubba Ray and D-Von tell them they're only in WWE because of teams like them.

Kevin Owens is escorted out by security.

Roman Reigns shows up. Roman talks about his world title match at Payback. As he says that he plans to keep the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for a long time, The League of Nations (Sheamus, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio). Sheamus says he's not so tough, but Roman isn't shaken. After talking about kicking King Barrett out of the League, they say they're missing out on some world title action, and as each man makes their case, Roman isn't convinced and tells them all to get in the ring so he can beat them up. Suddenly, The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) shows up and fight alongside Roman Reigns before focusing on him. Shane McMahon shows up and puts them on the same team tonight, as Roman and Bray take on two members of The League of Nations tonight for the main event.

Dr. Phil shows up for the next match.

Natalya beats Charlotte with the Sharpshooter...by disqualification after Ric Flair tries to interfere. Charlotte retains the WWE Women's Championship, then Natalya chases her out of the ring.

Renee Young interviews Sami Zayn. He says he's more than ready to be world champ. In walks AJ Styles, who agrees with him, but says that he's the only number one contender and that he plans to keep it that way.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) beat The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater and Curtis Axel) to continue to the semi-finals of the tag team tournament. As The Usos fight off The Social Outcasts, they are attacked by a surprise tag team: Luke Gallows (aka Doc Gallows) and Karl Anderson.

Maryse yells at a backstage assistant over blue M&M's and plain bottled water before Jojo comes in for an interview. As he says that he is Cesaro's kryptonite, Cesaro shows up and says he will take his leading role at Payback.

AJ Styles beats Sami Zayn.

Seth Green is in the audience tonight.

AJ Styles and Sami Zayn are talking in the back when Shane McMahon congratulates them on a match well fought. Both men shake hands after the match.

Chris Jericho shows up for a surprise Highlight Reel. Tonight's special guest on "the biggest Highlight Reel in history" is himself. He owes his success to himself as he gives the audience "the gift of Jericho." He gushes over his career accomplishment and says that nobody can touch him until Dean Ambrose makes his first appearance since WrestleMania with a potted plant and a sign. He takes over The Highlight Reel, canceling it and replacing it with The Ambrose Asylum, with Jericho as the first guest. Jericho tells him to get out of the ring, then knocks the microphone out of Ambrose's hand. Ambrose hits Jericho with Dirty Deeds.

The Golden Truth (R-Truth and Goldust) take on The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch), while Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady take on The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor). Both matches round out Round 1 of the tag team tournament, and both are happening this Thursday night on SmackDown.

Goldust and R-Truth meet in the locker room. Goldust expected an audition, and finds out that the audition is the tag team tournament. He then wants to know who made them a tag team in the tournament. Dr. Phil is in the room and wants to say something, but he's a loss for words.

Apollo Crews beats Adam Rose.

We see another Primo and Epico vignette.

We see a Baron Corbin video package.

Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt beat The League of Nations (Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio) after Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan show up to attack Rusev outside of the ring.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
