Layin 'da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for April 28, 2016

Roman Reigns shows up to start tonight's show. He says he punched AJ Styles in the mouth on Raw, and at Payback, he'll do it again. He calls out AJ Styles, saying he doesn't believe him when he says that he doesn't want Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson involved. Instead, The Miz and Maryse show up. Miz tries to stir the pot, trying to prove what Roman Reigns is thinking, and says he deserves some recognition for that. In return, he gets punched in the mouth and knocked out of the ring by Roman as "recognition."

Roman Reigns officially takes on The Miz later tonight.

Renee Young interviews The League of Nations (Sheamus, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio). They say that they proved at WrestleMania that nobody can beat them, and with King Barrett out of the picture, they're stronger than ever. Rusev says that the three of them might as well be "The United Nations."

Kalisto, Sami Zayn and Cesaro beat The League of Nations (Sheamus, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio), who are officially no more, by count-out after Rusev and Del Rio walk out on Sheamus due to extreme arguing and miscommunication. Sheamus breaks out of the Cesaro Swing and walks to the back on his own, putting the cherry on the top of the irony sundae stemming from the earlier backstage interview.

The League of Nations (Sheamus, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio) get into a huge pushing and shoving match before Sheamus declares The League is finished.

Baron Corbin beats Damien Sandow.

Renee Young interviews AJ Styles, who says he doesn't care what Roman Reigns thinks of him and doesn't answer to him. He plans to be at ringside for Roman Reigns vs. The Miz.

It's time for The Ambrose Asylum with Dean Ambrose. Tonight's guests are Charlotte and Natalya. Ambrose says Chris Jericho made a mistake in letting go of the Walls of Jericho on Monday, as he doesn't let go either. Ambrose plans to beat Jericho this Sunday at Payback. He then gets down to business and starts the show, and introduces Natalya first. Natalya says that Sunday will be different from previous weeks, as Bret "The Hit Man" Hart will be in her corner to keep an eye on Ric Flair in case he interferes. Charlotte and Ric Flair arrive. Charlotte considers Bret Hart being in the Women's Championship match "disturbing," saying she's parading Bret Hart around, but Nattie tells her to look who's talking, and that Ric's a creepy old man who's only around to help her win. Ric isn't impressed, as he's beaten Bret on multiple occasions. Natalya says she will win on Sunday and give the WWE Universe the Women's Champion they deserve.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) take over on commentary for the next match. You read this right.

Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady beat The Social Outcasts (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) as The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) watch from the top of the entrance ramp. After the match, Big Cass says he and Enzo will be the new #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Goldust meets with R-Truth in the locker room. Goldust wants to keep "The Golden Truth" going, but Tyler Breeze shows up and R-Truth says he and Breeze are teaming up tonight as "The Gorgeous Truth" and says he and Goldust are better off as friends. Fandango shows up and tries to comfort Goldust to no avail.

Apollo Crews beats Stardust.

AJ Styles sits at ringside for the next match.

Roman Reigns beats The Miz. After the match, AJ Styles confronts Roman Reigns...and so does Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. Roman goes after Anderson and Gallows but falls victim to the numbers game. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) show up to make the save, and go at it with AJ Styles. Roman gets back up and goes after Luke Gallows with a Spear, then fights AJ Styles again, forcing AJ to retreat.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
