Layin' da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for April 7, 2016

Roman Reigns starts tonight's show. He says he fought The Authority (Triple H and Stephanie McMahon) and won, and took back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Now he's got to do what he's go to do, and that's beat AJ Styles. Styles appears, tells Roman he had a heck of a WrestleMania, and Styles congratulates him on becoming champ, then says he had a heck of a Raw on Monday Night with the #1 contender's match, and now he's coming for Roman's title. If he has to beat "The Guy," then so be it. Roman tells him to be the champ, he's got to have the championship, and although Styles may have beaten guys all over the world, he's never beaten him and never will.

The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) beat The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto) in their main roster debut.

Charlotte and Ric Flair guest on commentary for the next match.

Natalya beats Summer Rae with the Sharpshooter. She stares down with Charlotte and almost goes after her after the match.

Before the next match, Maryse makes an appearance. She introduces herself, tells the WWE Universe they should already know who she is, then introduces The Miz.

The Miz retains the WWE Intercontinetal Championship against Zack Ryder, after Maryse removes a turnbuckle and tosses it into the ring, distracting the ref and Ryder and allowing The Miz to hit Ryder in the eye before connecting with the Skull Crushing Finale.

The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) play Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who faces Apollo Crews. Curtis Axel wins.

Apollo Crews beats Curtis Axel in his first SmackDown appearance, despite the interference attempts of Bo Dallas and Heath Slater.

Baron Corbin isn't in the mood for an interview. He says that the End of Days isn't coming...it's already here.

Renee Young interviews Becky Lynch. She pokes fun at the stitches around her left eye, and says she won't give up reaching for the WWE Women's Championship. As she desires to face Charlotte again to repay her for the black eye, Emma shows up and says that Becky has had opportunities to her when she should really be at the back of the line. Becky tells her to back off before she also gets a black eye.

Dean Ambrose quickly beats Tyler Breeze. After the match, Chris Jericho suddenly makes an entrance for his match, which is next. Ambrose waches him walk down the ramp before heading to the back.

R-Truth manages to trick Goldust into joining him as part of "Golden Truth" in Los Angeles on Monday night with a "Goldust Audition."

Cesaro and AJ Styles beats Chris Jericho and AJ Styles after the distraction from Sami Zayn, who is kept from entering the ring by WWE officials. Owens goes after Zayn and attacks him after the match, and Owens ends up being the one being held back by officials as the show ends.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
