Underground Sound - Lucha Underground recap for April 6, 2016

Vampiro is in the locker room with his medication when Dario Cueto meets up with him. He knows that Vampiro wants to go after his Matanza, and Dario says Matanza went too far, but tells Vampiro that he won't get much further than Pentagon Jr. if he confronts him. Dario says he has an amazing main event tonight, and he wants him on commentary. Vampiro takes his medication after Dario walks away.

Cortez Castro and Joey Ryan report on Dario Cueto to the police captain. The captain wants them to get the job done. Joey Ryan says he's gotten Dario Cueto to put him in the Trios Title Tournament with Cortez Castro as one of his partners. The police captain says that if gets the closer to Dario Cueto, then they must win the Lucha Underground Trios Tag Team Championships.

Ivelisse beats Kobra Moon, giving Kobra Moon her first ever loss.

We hear from Killshot, learning about how he got his name after becoming a military sniper and became part of an elite squad. His team was captured and he became a prisoner for 13 months until he was finally able to escape. We seem him fight off some enemies in the Middle East and also see his proficiency with a handgun. He has no idea if his brothers are still alive, as he and his crew never existed. He is now in Lucha Underground to fight simply to forget.

Famous B gives his business card to Mascarita Sagrada, and says that he could be a huge star. As he leaves, we see Sexy Star on the weights, and The Mack wants her around for moral support as he has been teamed up with Marty "The Moth" Martinez and Mariposa in the Trios Title Tournament. Sexy Star says she can't. The Mack says that eventually, she'll have to make them pay for what they did to her, and he hopes she's there to collect. After he leaves, Sexy Star lifts the weights harder than before, tortured by what The Moth and Mariposa did to her.

Joey Ryan and The Crew (Mr. Cisco and Cortez Castro) beat The Mack, Mariposa and Marty "The Moth" Martinez to continue on the second round of the Trios Tag Tournament after a disagreement between The Mack and Martniez. After the match, Mariposa attacks The Mack, then Sexy Star confronts Mariposa to make the save. Sexy Star finally has enough and beats the crap out of Mariposa.

El Dragon Azteca Jr. and Rey Mysterio Jr. meet on the rooftop of the temple. Rey tells El Dragon Azteca Jr. he fights for the honor of their tribe, but he still has a lot to learn. Matanza will be beaten in time, but for now, they must get ready for their Trios Title Tournament next week, and their partner is none other than Prince Puma, who finally speaks on camera for the first time.

Matanza Cueto retains the Lucha Underground Championship against Fenix. After the match, Matanza attacks Fenix some more until Catrina tells Matanza to stop from the audience. This distracts Matanza, who is hit from behind by Mil Muertes, who forces Matanza and Dario Cueto to retreat. Fenix falls, but Mil Muertes simply leaves the ring. Fenix is looking at Catrina after he gets back up.
