Generation NXT - NXT recap for April 7, 2026

Tony D'Angelo heads to the ring to start tonight's show. D'Angelo says a lot of the fans have been with him since the beginning, and that he barely recognize the kid he was when he began. He now says he is not just a man, but the man, and he is now NXT Champion. He also says that he is the very first Grand Slam Champion in NXT history and that he has wanted this since he walked through the door, and while some choices have been better than others, he would not change a thing. D'Angelo then says his hands have an iron grip on the NXT title and not even "All Ego" Ethan Page, Ricky Saints or Joe Hendry can take it from him. Joe Hendry shows up and heads to the ring. Hendry gives credit where credit is due to D'Angelo and proclaims him to be the better man, then says it was on one night where they both had to deal with Ethan and Saints, and ponders if D'Angelo would still be champion if not for them. Ethan shows up and says that if anyone deserved a one-on-one title shot, it was him, and that if it were one-on-one, he would have beaten Hendry; instead, D'Angelo is champion. Saints then makes his way out to the ring. Saints reminds Ethan that he attacked him first and tells Ethan not to blame his shortcomings on him, and says that if Ethan had put his ego to the side, he would be two-time champion. D'Angelo tells all three men to get in line and that the result will be the same as it was Saturday. Suddenly, DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) shows up from out of the crowd and attack all four men in the ring while security rushes in as the show goes to a commercial break. (During the break, the announce table gets destroyed, and it also takes all the referees and the locker room to break up the brawl.)

Backstage, after the break, General Manager Robert Stone puts Tony D'Angelo, Joe Hendry, "All Ego" Ethan Page and Ricky Saints in an eight-man match with DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) later in the night. Sol Ruca then heads to the ring for the next match.

Izzi Dame beats Sol Ruca after Niko Vance saves Izzi Dame on the outside while Zaria hits Sol Ruca with a Spear as Shawn Spears distracts the referee. After the match, Zaria tells Sol Ruca that she says when this ends between them.

In backstage footage from earlier today, The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) meet with Blake Monroe and gift Blake her very own custom NXT Women's North American Championship. General Manager Robert Stone says Blake cannot self-proclaim to be champion, then puts Blake Monroe and a Vanity Project member of her choice in a mixed tag match with Tatum Paxley and Shiloh Hill. Blake picks Jackson Drake as her tag partner.

Backstage, Dorian Van Dux, Elio LaFleur, "Super" Sean Legacy and Elio LaFleur are in the locker room. LaFleur mentions that Dorian Van Dux and EK Prosper will be in the WWE Speed Championship tournament. Dorian Van Dux says he has been waiting for this moment, but EK Proposer says he is ready for the tournament and that he will be watching tonight's tournament match.

Keanu Carver beats Josh Briggs and Jasper Troy in a Triple Threat Match.

Backstage, Tatum Paxley tells Shiloh Hill that she thought she would be done with Blake Monroe after Saturday, but Blake just cannot stop. Shiloh Hill looks forward to punching Jackson Drake in the face. Ricky Saints shows up and mocks them for laughing during their conversation, but Shiloh Hill tells him to concentrate on his match with DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin), as they already gave him a beating earlier tonight.

Joe Hendry, Tony D'Angelo, Ricky Saints and "All Ego" Ethan Page beat DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin). At the end of the match, D'Angelo takes out Saquon Shugars, but Ethan hits D'Angelo with a pump kick to get the pin and the win. After the match, D'Angelo takes Ethan out.

On NXT Focus, we hear from Jaida Parker, who talks about how she beat Kelani Jordan at Stand & Deliver only for Kelani to attack her backstage afterwards. Jaida says she is who she says she is, and brags about how she has made Kelani's life a living hell with a brawl at the Performance Center and a confrontation at Kelani's car before their match next week.

Lexis King beats Chazz "Starboy" Hall to advance in the WWE Speed Championship Tournament. (Chazz "Starboy" Hall is formerly known as Starboy Charlie, and is the current men's WWE ID Champion.)

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone meets with Myles Borne when Tony D'Angelo shows up. Borne leaves, and D'Angelo says he wants "All Ego" Ethan Page. Stone says he can make that happen, then D'Angelo has a staredown with Keanu Carver.

Jackson Drake and Blake Monroe beat Tatum Paxley and Shiloh Hill after Tatum goes to counter the Glamour Shot with Cemetery Drive only to hit Drake with a spinning wheel kick. That allows Blake Monroe to hit the Glamour Shot for the pin and the win.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews General Manager Robert Stone. Stone announces that the two-week special NXT Revenge starts next week. Tony D'Angelo will defend the NXT Championship against "All Ego" Ethan Page, Sol Ruca and Zaria will square off in a Last Woman Standing Match, Joe Hendry will be in concert, Kali Armstrong will make her NXT debut, and there will be a new WWE Speed Champion.

We see a vignette for Kali Armstrong's NXT debut.

Lola Vice heads to the ring for a championship celebration. Lola Vice talks about she became the first Cuban-American champion in WWE history and how she has waited so long to become champion. She also talks about how she was the biggest signing of 2022 and how WWE gave her a media tour. She talks about how she thought she was ready to become champion and expected to go straight to the top only to get humbled, and how she headed to AAA to get even more experience and take "Vice City" worldwide. Lola Vice says that she is undeniable and that earning something means more than having something handed to her, then Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) shows up. Jacy Jayne congratulates Lola before telling her to enjoy this moment, as it is the last win she will ever get off of her. She says that Lola has only set her up to become a record-breaking three-time champion. Jacy says Lola was only at Stand & Deliver on a technicality, then says she ran the women's division for almost ten months. General Manager Robert Stone shows up and gives Jacy her championship rematch at NXT Revenge. Lola tells Jacy that she will knock her out again, then Lainey and Fallon attack her from behind. Lola fights back and sends Fatal Influence running to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 7, 2025

General Manager Adam Pearce is in the ring to start tonight's show. Pearce welcomes Iyo Sky, followed by Bianca Belair, followed by Rhea Ripley. Pearce misidentifies Rhea as a member of The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Carlito, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez). Pearce takes responsibility for everything that has happened up to this point, and to right these wrongs, he makes the match for the World Women's Championship at WrestleMania a Triple Threat Match. After Pearce asks for three signatures, Bianca says this would have originally pissed her off, but after everything that has transpired recently, she has no problem overcoming a Triple Threat Match to become champion. She signs. Rhea is about to speak, but Bianca tells her to shut up and sign since she whined enough to get here. Rhea gets the hint and signs, then tosses it back at Bianca. Iyo stands between them, but when Rhea shoves her aside, she walks away at first, then drop kicks Rhea into Bianca before signing the contract.

Backstage, Finn Balor addresses him and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio challenging for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania. Liv feels that the more members of The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Carlito, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez) are challenging for the Intercontinental Championship, the merrier, so long as one of them wins. Finn says Dominik does not have what it takes to win at WrestleMania, then says he has a chance to prove everyone wrong.

Lyra Valkyria retains the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship against Bayley after rolling out of the Rose Plant and pinning Bayley with a jackknife pin. After the match, Bayley smacks Valkyria's hand away, then hugs her.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews comedian Bert Kreischer when American Made (Chad Gable, Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Ivy Nile) shows up. Chad Gable says he is not competing tonight, but The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus) and El Grande Americano are. Kreischer tells them he came for Alpha Academy (Otis, Akira Tozawa, Maxxine Dupri), not America Made, then he and Otis rip their shirts off.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. Styles says he gets to embarrass Logan Paul at WrestleMania because you cannot beat experience. Karrion Kross and Scarlett show up, and Kross says experience got him nowhere recently, then says he wants another side of Styles, saying that if he loses, WWE loses. Styles says he will give Kross another side of him in a match next week.

American Made (Julius and Brutus Creed) and El Grande Americano beat The Latino World Order (Dragon Lee, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro) in a six-man tag match after Ivy Nile hands a piece of metal to Americano to put in his mask. Americano uses it to headbutt Rey Mysterio when he calls this out, then does the same to Dragon Lee when Dragon Lee goes for his mask. He then wins the match with a flying headbutt to Dragon Lee.

Gunther heads to the ring. Shortly after he enters it, "Main Event" Jey Uso heads to the ring from inside the crowd. Gunther laughs as Jey Uso smacks the microphone out of Gunther's hand and takes his sunglasses off, then asks Gunther if he has a mother and if he has talked to her. At this point, Gunther has stopped laughing. He asks if they have talked about the usual family stuff before he mentions how he talked to his mother about being laid up in a hospital bed with fifteen stitches across his head before she asked him why he did not protect Jimmy Uso. He says he was afraid and that Gunther was three steps ahead and playing chess while he played checkers, but that was not enough for him and he had to get his family involved. He addresses what happened last week, then says Jimmy's blood is on his hands and that he has never been so pissed off and "damn near scared." He says Gunther made the whole world stop when he violated his brother in front of him and made his heart stop. Jey says that in his darkest moment, a light bulb went off, and he realized that he is not afraid of Gunther anymore. He tells Gunther to hug and kiss family before WrestleMania, then says he will say a prayer for Gunther, more so for himself, and forgive him for the man he is about to become, as he will get Gunther for himself and his family and take the World Heavyweight Championship.

Backstage, Maxxine Dupri and Natalya get a tag team match on SmackDown. Rey Mysterio then meets with General Manager Adam Pearce and wants a WrestleMania match with El Grande Americano so he can expose him as a fraud. Pearce makes it official.

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe guests on commentary for the next match.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) beat The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik) by disqualification after Xavier Woods and Ivar fight over a metal folding chair and Ivar hits Woods in the gut with the chair. The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik) retain the World Tag Team Championships. After the match, Kofi swings at Ivar, then The New Day goes on the attack - with Woods choking Erik inside an open chair at one point - until officials back them up to the ramp.

Adi Shankar, Taylor and Daniel from Love Is Blind Season 8, and comedian Bert Kreischer are seen in the crowd.

Penta beats "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. After the match, Carlito attacks Penta from behind, but Penta fights back. Dominik grabs Penta by the ankle so that Carlito can hit the Backstabber, then Dominik and Carlito go on the attack before Bron Breakker shows up. Breakker throws himself into Carlito with a Spear, then hits Dominik with a Spear in the ring before doing the same to Penta. Suddenly, Finn Balor shows up from behind and hits Breakker with an elbow before holding up the Intercontinental Championship. Breakker goes for a Spear, but Finn Balor barely avoids it.

Paul Heyman is in the ring. He says that he will always be loyal to his Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. He also says he will be loyal to CM Punk. Heyman also proclaims that his loyalty to both of them does not mean he will be disloyal to either of them. Before he can make anything perfectly clear, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up and says tonight not about him, but about Heyman, and wants to know whose side Heyman is on. He wants to know if Heyman will be CM Punk's best friend or Roman Reigns' wiseman, and says Heyman is convincing everyone that he can be both yet it occurred to him last week that he is neither. Rollins tells Heyman that Roman Reigns does not give a damn about him, much less respects him, and only uses him, reminding him that when Roman disappeared after losing the WWE Championship, Solo Sikoa's Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Jacob Fatu) treated Heyman like the scum of the earth and did not come to his rescue. Rollins also reminds Heyman that CM Punk did not save him, either, and that he walked out on everyone in WWE - including Heyman - and tried to tear down everything here. Rollins also reminds Heyman about how he - not Punk - was the first choice for WarGames, even though he declined, and how Punk ended up being the last and only choice and only joined to get a favor out of Heyman. He says that CM Punk only loves himself, then admits that he feels bad for Heyman for being in a position where the only easy solution would be to remove himself from the situation entirely so he, Punk and Roman can battle it out for the soul of the industry. Rollins says he understands that Heyman will not betray Roman or Punk, and thinks about a way to remove Heyman for the situation before stating he would take it as a privilege to do it himself here and now with The Stomp. Rollins says that neither Punk or Roman is here to save Heyman, even quoting Punk by saying Punk is here to make money, then asks how much Heyman is worth repeatedly as he begins to smack him around. Heyman snaps on Rollins, telling him not to put his hands on him, but Rollins shoves Heyman to the corner. Punk shows up and fights Rollins before going for The Stomp on him. This ends with Rollins escaping and hitting The Stomp on Punk. Heyman checks on Punk, and when Rollins goes for The Stomp, Heyman is somehow able to avoid getting his head pummeled. Rollins then says to Heyman "Now you owe me a favor."

Dempsey says he has tapped Wolfgang out once and next time will not be any different, but Teoman will have a challenge with A-Kid, who is not to be taken lightly in a one-on-one fight. When Dempsey asks what the eye sees, Teoman says the eye has seen that A-Kid's focus is elsewhere, and that while pain is temporary, it will be permanent for A-Kid. The three of them then toast to their continued success.

In footage from earlier this week from the UK Performance Center, "Bomber" Dave Mastiff and Jack Starz train, as does Gallus (Joe and Mark Coffey). As Mastiff and Starz are more vocal about their training, this earns them a confrontation with Joe Coffey.

Charlie Dempsey beats Wolfgang. During the match, Teoman's eye appears on the TitanTron, and when Wolfgang knocks Rohan Raja off the apron, Charlie Dempsey beats Wolfgang with a German suplex pin.

Eliza says Amale did not even know her name last week, but now she lives rent-free in Amale's head and is here for both Xia and herself, and when she debuts next week, somebody is going to get battered.

Backstage, Assistant to the General Manager Sid Scala moderates a face-to-face meeting between Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) and the team of Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith. Scala produces a contract for a match between them for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships in two weeks time, and it will be a two-out-of-three falls match.

In backstage footage from during the break, Wolfgang is met by Joe Coffey and Mark Coffey. Wolfgang wants to know where Joe and Mark were during his match earlier when Teoman's eye appeared.

Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for April 7, 2021

In footage from earlier today, The Inner Circle is seen showing up to the arena in individual vehicles.

"Hangman" Adam Page beats "Platinum" Max Caster despite the constant interference by Anthony Bowens.

Tony Schiavone interviews Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero M, Rey Fenix). Before they can say anything, Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent, Orange Cassidy) shows up. Cassidy says it is nice to see all three members of Death Triangle in the ring again, then footage from Revolution 2020 of Death Triangle beating Orange Cassidy plays on the video screen. Taylor says it has been a while, but Best Friends still remember. PAC says that Best Friends are seeing the writing on the wall and want a shot at them, then tells them they have some work to do and are far from worthy, but Trent says that is not a problem when they have more wins than anyone else in AEW before telling them that "the boys are back in town" just as Kris Statlander shows up.

The Inner Circle head to the ring. Chris Jericho says that The Inner Circle are "back in black" after being given the beatdown of a lifetime by The Pinnacle, and while it gave them hospital stays and stitches, it gave them a wake-up call towards the bad decisions they have made over the past several months. He apologizes to the friend and says that those mistakes were caused by his "jerkoff friend" MJF, and while he is not smart about some things, he is smart about pro wrestling, which is why he took MJF into The Inner Circle to keep him under his thumb and use him for every ounce of his being and suck his life out. He says that he had everything perfectly planned and expected MJF to find out so they could kick his ass, but they did not expect MJF to be one step ahead. He says that MJF can do anything except put on a spray tan, saying that a few weeks ago, he was oranger than Orange Cassidy with more streaks than the toilet bowl that he shoved his face into last week. Jericho says that MJF may be at the pinnacle of the business at 25 years old and considers himself a fine wine who will get better with age, and that MJF wants that success now, but Jericho says those are some big shoes to fill and that he will have to be better than even the burbury scarf that he's been wearing for a few years now, going so far as to call the scarf gimmick infringement from five years ago. Jericho says that MJF is a mark who has been seeing what people think about him, and says that should be called "being a Max for yourself" before saying that MJF will never be better than him. He says that MJF failure to be better than him has caused the fine wine to ferment in his head, then goes on to mock the rest of the members of The Inner Circle, calling Tully Blanchard a third-rate Four Horsemen member, saying he cannot tell the difference between Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, and saying that Shawn Spears has no upside and that his aligning with MJF is as bad as "rocking a blond mohawk in 2021." He says that Wardlow has a million dollar brain and a thirteen-cent body, and that Wardlow is so stupid he has to strip naked to count to 21. Jericho then says the new Inner Circle will dominate AEW with the fans behind them, and while The Pinnacle may beat the crap out of them, they do not care because they like to fight and they plan to form The Pinnacle into a human centipede with MJF in the back. He says that if The Pinnacle want blood and guts, they will get it on May 5th in a Blood and Guts Match, and tells The Pinnacle that the worst is yet to come.

Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Christian Cage, who says that last week was the culmination of an entire year of scratching, clawing and grinding in solitude for a return to the ring and taking back what was taken from him seven years ago. He says that Frankie Kazarian took him to the deep water and that Kazarian knows he is not like everyone else, as anybody who gets in the ring with him has to level up. Suddenly, Taz show up and says seven years is a long time, and says that Team Taz (Taz, "The Machine" Brian Cage, "Absolute" Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook) can help him before flat-out offering him a spot in Team Taz. He tells Christian Cage to sleep on it before making a decision.

We see a cross-promotion video package combining Godzilla vs. Kong with footage of Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) and Bear Country (Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson).

Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) beat Bear Country (Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson) in what is billed as a "Godzilla vs. Kong Match."

We hear from QT Marshall, who says that ever since the beginning of their friendship, he has done all of "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes' work and that Rhodes left him dead in the water before his career in AEW could get off the ground, and says that Rhodes was playing second fiddle to Ted DiBiase Jr. and covering his face in paint because even when he was known as "Dusty's kid," he knew he "wouldn't amount to shit." He then says that Cody figured it out, went into the indies and surrounded himself with "vanilla midgets" to feel like the superstar he could never be. Marshall then says he has surrounded himself too, but that he has surrounded himself with men who are hungry and sick of waiting in the shadows. He then says that he is no longer worried about other people's success, that Aaron Solow will never be known as "just somebody's boyfriend and that Nick Comoroto will never be called a "body guy." Anthony Ogogo says that he is a household name in the UK, and that the British people follow him and cheer his every punch, and that he will do Subway commercials for business and hurt people for pleasure, saying that "shitty America" is not Great Britain, and that the Americans will learn the hard way. Marshall then says that this is his factory, and Comoroto throws a bucket of bluepaint at the Nightmare Factory logo on the wall behind him.

Tony Schiavone interviews Sting on the stage. Once again, Jake "The Snake" Roberts shows up to interrupt, says that Darby Allin looks like "a little gerbil," and says that insanity is doing the same thing over again expecting different results. Lance Archer shows up, takes the microphone and says that if Roberts is crazy, then he is "one sick son of a bitch" and that he is sick of the agenda in AEW where he is put at the top only to go away afterwards. He says tht world will pay attention to him, and that Sting will pay attention to him because this is his time. Sting takes the microphone from Archer and says he is in agreement with Archer, saying he is main event material and that all he needs is Roberts channeling his anger in the right direction to stay on top and not disappear. Sting tells Archer he has what it takes and to go do it, then leaves. Archer laughs and then leaves along with Jake Roberts.

We hear from Team Taz (Taz, "The Machine" Brian Cage, "Absolute" Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook). Starks says that last night was great after "The Machine" Brian Cage got them the win and that the people need to hear from him, but Taz interrupts, saying they all need to be on the same page and that they have a potential offer with Christian Cage sitting on the table that they need to go for.

Darby Allin retains the AEW TNT Championship against JD Drake. After the match, Allin is attacked by The Butcher and The Blade, but before they can put Darby through a table, Team Taz is chased out by The Dark Ordre and Sting. All the while, The Bunny is yelling at the commentary team to move, but when she turns her back, she sees The Dark Order and is attacked by Tay Conti.

We see a video package chronicling the events leading up to Jon Moxley and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs. Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson).

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Chris Jericho, who is soon attacked by The Pinnacle. The Pinnacle soon bring Jericho to the ring to assault him . Backstage, The Inner Circle's dressing room door is bolted shut, but The Inner Circle soon breaks through the door. Suddenly, "Iron" Mike Tyson shows up and clears out the ring before punching Shawn Spears repeatedly. The Inner Circle then shows up, and The Pinnacle is forced to retreat. Afterwards, Jericho and Tyson shake hands.

In footage from earlier today, Tony Schiavone interviews Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Reba. Britt tells Tony Khan to give the people what they want: her facing Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women's World Championship. She calls the win-loss record "utter bullshit" and says it should be based on star power, merchandise sales and ratings, and says she will fix this system and pretend wins and losses actually matter.

Tay Conti beats The Bunny after The Bunny takes a cheap shot at Hikaru Shida, causing a brawl between The Dark Order and The Hardy Family Office that nearly gives The Bunny a chance to defeat Tay Conti with Hikaru Shida's Kendo stick before Shida is able to take her Kendo stick back from The Bunny.

Next week: Matt Hardy vs. Darby Allin for the AEW TNT Championship in a Falls Count Anywhere Match! Death Triangle (PAC and Rey Fenix) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) for the AEW World Tag Team Championships! Anthony Ogogo's in-ring debut! Red Velvet vs. Jade Cargill!

We hear from Red Velvet, who says that Jade Cargill keeps looking for her because she knew she could barely get the job done, and says that if Cargill wants to call herself "that bitch," then she had better be "that bitch who gets the job done."

Next week: Dax Harwood vs. Chris Jericho with "Iron" Mike Tyson as special ringside enforcer and all other members of The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle barred from ringside!

Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) beat Jon Moxley and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). Don Callis guests on commentary during the match. Later on in the match, The Young Bucks superkick Moxley when he goes for the win on Omega, and when Eddie Kingston show up, Gallows and Anderson hit him with the Magic Killer before doing the same to Moxley and putting Omega on top of Moxley for the win. After the match, The Good Brothres demand that The Young Bucks finish off Moxley, and they hit Moxley with simultaneous superkicks, and when Omega puts up the "Too Sweet," Matt Jackson gets everyone in for a group hug as the show fades to black.

Ciampa calls tonight's show and match the most anticipated since his match with Johnny Gargano at TakeOver: New Orleans, and says that he has "been through it" and has had a career, started a family and got into the best shape of his life. He says he is in the best position for his match against Walter, and while he knows it will be special, he says the match will be special. Ciampa proclaims that he has so much to prove tonight, and says he is better than he was two years ago, and that if Walter doesn't think so, he will be in for the night of his life, for Walter cannot hang with him physically. As for what he wants to do before he retires, he wants to hold the NXT UK Championship after having held the NXT Championship.

Samoa Joe interviews Walter. Walter feels that he needs to catch up on six months of inactivity after having held the NXT UK Championship for two years, and that he wants to put on the best match possible. On the subject of Tommaso Ciampa challenging him for the title, he says that the Ciampa of 2018 is similar to who he is now, and says that wrestling isn't the main priority in his life anymore after having succeeded in the sport. He says that his match with Ciampa will not cement his legacy and will be the next challenge for him, saying that every step counts, and while he loves to defend the NXT UK title in America, NXT UK is his top priority. Raquel says she is confident going into her match with Io Shirai, and says it is an honor that Shirai has chosen her as her competitor for tonight's show, calling it validation of the Superstar she wants to be and a chance to prove she can hang with the best. She says that Io Shirai leaves nothing behind in the ring, but that she is confident in her own abilities and the ability to take what Shirai dishes out. As for being tonight's main event, she says that this means a lot to her considering the journey she had to take to get here, and she is confident that when she beats Shirai tonight, she will smile and be full of pride in everything that has come to this moment knowing that she is in the best place of her life and career.

Samoa Joe interviews Io Shirai. Shirai says she was the champion in Japan for over three years and became the best of the best in Japan before coming to America and WWE to become the best in the world and reach the top. She says that she challenged Raquel Gonzalez after beating the best in the top brands of WWE because she is a big up-and-coming wrestler and because she wants a moment in her career where she wrestles and beats a bigger opponent like Rey Mysterio. She says there is a lot of responsibility and pressure in being in the main event, but she has represented the women's division and the women's title, and the division has come a long way because of her.

Shamrock says that Callihan has no respect for anyone trying to make a living in the ring, and while he wants to win, he will not do it at the expense of others.
