Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for April 7, 2021

In footage from earlier today, The Inner Circle is seen showing up to the arena in individual vehicles.

"Hangman" Adam Page beats "Platinum" Max Caster despite the constant interference by Anthony Bowens.

Tony Schiavone interviews Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero M, Rey Fenix). Before they can say anything, Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent, Orange Cassidy) shows up. Cassidy says it is nice to see all three members of Death Triangle in the ring again, then footage from Revolution 2020 of Death Triangle beating Orange Cassidy plays on the video screen. Taylor says it has been a while, but Best Friends still remember. PAC says that Best Friends are seeing the writing on the wall and want a shot at them, then tells them they have some work to do and are far from worthy, but Trent says that is not a problem when they have more wins than anyone else in AEW before telling them that "the boys are back in town" just as Kris Statlander shows up.

The Inner Circle head to the ring. Chris Jericho says that The Inner Circle are "back in black" after being given the beatdown of a lifetime by The Pinnacle, and while it gave them hospital stays and stitches, it gave them a wake-up call towards the bad decisions they have made over the past several months. He apologizes to the friend and says that those mistakes were caused by his "jerkoff friend" MJF, and while he is not smart about some things, he is smart about pro wrestling, which is why he took MJF into The Inner Circle to keep him under his thumb and use him for every ounce of his being and suck his life out. He says that he had everything perfectly planned and expected MJF to find out so they could kick his ass, but they did not expect MJF to be one step ahead. He says that MJF can do anything except put on a spray tan, saying that a few weeks ago, he was oranger than Orange Cassidy with more streaks than the toilet bowl that he shoved his face into last week. Jericho says that MJF may be at the pinnacle of the business at 25 years old and considers himself a fine wine who will get better with age, and that MJF wants that success now, but Jericho says those are some big shoes to fill and that he will have to be better than even the burbury scarf that he's been wearing for a few years now, going so far as to call the scarf gimmick infringement from five years ago. Jericho says that MJF is a mark who has been seeing what people think about him, and says that should be called "being a Max for yourself" before saying that MJF will never be better than him. He says that MJF failure to be better than him has caused the fine wine to ferment in his head, then goes on to mock the rest of the members of The Inner Circle, calling Tully Blanchard a third-rate Four Horsemen member, saying he cannot tell the difference between Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, and saying that Shawn Spears has no upside and that his aligning with MJF is as bad as "rocking a blond mohawk in 2021." He says that Wardlow has a million dollar brain and a thirteen-cent body, and that Wardlow is so stupid he has to strip naked to count to 21. Jericho then says the new Inner Circle will dominate AEW with the fans behind them, and while The Pinnacle may beat the crap out of them, they do not care because they like to fight and they plan to form The Pinnacle into a human centipede with MJF in the back. He says that if The Pinnacle want blood and guts, they will get it on May 5th in a Blood and Guts Match, and tells The Pinnacle that the worst is yet to come.

Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Christian Cage, who says that last week was the culmination of an entire year of scratching, clawing and grinding in solitude for a return to the ring and taking back what was taken from him seven years ago. He says that Frankie Kazarian took him to the deep water and that Kazarian knows he is not like everyone else, as anybody who gets in the ring with him has to level up. Suddenly, Taz show up and says seven years is a long time, and says that Team Taz (Taz, "The Machine" Brian Cage, "Absolute" Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook) can help him before flat-out offering him a spot in Team Taz. He tells Christian Cage to sleep on it before making a decision.

We see a cross-promotion video package combining Godzilla vs. Kong with footage of Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) and Bear Country (Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson).

Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) beat Bear Country (Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson) in what is billed as a "Godzilla vs. Kong Match."

We hear from QT Marshall, who says that ever since the beginning of their friendship, he has done all of "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes' work and that Rhodes left him dead in the water before his career in AEW could get off the ground, and says that Rhodes was playing second fiddle to Ted DiBiase Jr. and covering his face in paint because even when he was known as "Dusty's kid," he knew he "wouldn't amount to shit." He then says that Cody figured it out, went into the indies and surrounded himself with "vanilla midgets" to feel like the superstar he could never be. Marshall then says he has surrounded himself too, but that he has surrounded himself with men who are hungry and sick of waiting in the shadows. He then says that he is no longer worried about other people's success, that Aaron Solow will never be known as "just somebody's boyfriend and that Nick Comoroto will never be called a "body guy." Anthony Ogogo says that he is a household name in the UK, and that the British people follow him and cheer his every punch, and that he will do Subway commercials for business and hurt people for pleasure, saying that "shitty America" is not Great Britain, and that the Americans will learn the hard way. Marshall then says that this is his factory, and Comoroto throws a bucket of bluepaint at the Nightmare Factory logo on the wall behind him.

Tony Schiavone interviews Sting on the stage. Once again, Jake "The Snake" Roberts shows up to interrupt, says that Darby Allin looks like "a little gerbil," and says that insanity is doing the same thing over again expecting different results. Lance Archer shows up, takes the microphone and says that if Roberts is crazy, then he is "one sick son of a bitch" and that he is sick of the agenda in AEW where he is put at the top only to go away afterwards. He says tht world will pay attention to him, and that Sting will pay attention to him because this is his time. Sting takes the microphone from Archer and says he is in agreement with Archer, saying he is main event material and that all he needs is Roberts channeling his anger in the right direction to stay on top and not disappear. Sting tells Archer he has what it takes and to go do it, then leaves. Archer laughs and then leaves along with Jake Roberts.

We hear from Team Taz (Taz, "The Machine" Brian Cage, "Absolute" Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook). Starks says that last night was great after "The Machine" Brian Cage got them the win and that the people need to hear from him, but Taz interrupts, saying they all need to be on the same page and that they have a potential offer with Christian Cage sitting on the table that they need to go for.

Darby Allin retains the AEW TNT Championship against JD Drake. After the match, Allin is attacked by The Butcher and The Blade, but before they can put Darby through a table, Team Taz is chased out by The Dark Ordre and Sting. All the while, The Bunny is yelling at the commentary team to move, but when she turns her back, she sees The Dark Order and is attacked by Tay Conti.

We see a video package chronicling the events leading up to Jon Moxley and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs. Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson).

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Chris Jericho, who is soon attacked by The Pinnacle. The Pinnacle soon bring Jericho to the ring to assault him . Backstage, The Inner Circle's dressing room door is bolted shut, but The Inner Circle soon breaks through the door. Suddenly, "Iron" Mike Tyson shows up and clears out the ring before punching Shawn Spears repeatedly. The Inner Circle then shows up, and The Pinnacle is forced to retreat. Afterwards, Jericho and Tyson shake hands.

In footage from earlier today, Tony Schiavone interviews Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Reba. Britt tells Tony Khan to give the people what they want: her facing Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women's World Championship. She calls the win-loss record "utter bullshit" and says it should be based on star power, merchandise sales and ratings, and says she will fix this system and pretend wins and losses actually matter.

Tay Conti beats The Bunny after The Bunny takes a cheap shot at Hikaru Shida, causing a brawl between The Dark Order and The Hardy Family Office that nearly gives The Bunny a chance to defeat Tay Conti with Hikaru Shida's Kendo stick before Shida is able to take her Kendo stick back from The Bunny.

Next week: Matt Hardy vs. Darby Allin for the AEW TNT Championship in a Falls Count Anywhere Match! Death Triangle (PAC and Rey Fenix) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) for the AEW World Tag Team Championships! Anthony Ogogo's in-ring debut! Red Velvet vs. Jade Cargill!

We hear from Red Velvet, who says that Jade Cargill keeps looking for her because she knew she could barely get the job done, and says that if Cargill wants to call herself "that bitch," then she had better be "that bitch who gets the job done."

Next week: Dax Harwood vs. Chris Jericho with "Iron" Mike Tyson as special ringside enforcer and all other members of The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle barred from ringside!

Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) beat Jon Moxley and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). Don Callis guests on commentary during the match. Later on in the match, The Young Bucks superkick Moxley when he goes for the win on Omega, and when Eddie Kingston show up, Gallows and Anderson hit him with the Magic Killer before doing the same to Moxley and putting Omega on top of Moxley for the win. After the match, The Good Brothres demand that The Young Bucks finish off Moxley, and they hit Moxley with simultaneous superkicks, and when Omega puts up the "Too Sweet," Matt Jackson gets everyone in for a group hug as the show fades to black.
