Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for April 8, 2021

Backstage, "The Cowboy" James Storm proposes to Chris Sabin and Chris Harris that they take their friendship to match number 2,000 and keep partying all night long.

Backstage, Nevaeh says she turned on Havok because she beat herself up and thinking she was the problem until it dawned on her that Havok was the weak one for begging and groveling to her every week trying to make their tag team work. Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K show up and congratulate Nevaeh on dropping the baggage, but Nevaeh says she has dropped one dead weight partner and does not need another. Kaleb reminds Nevaeh that tonight there is a six-Knockout tag team match with everyone randomly chosen, and that Nevaeh and Tenille are on the same time, and says that Tenille is not a dead weight partner and that Nevaeh should be lucky they are even on the same team. Nevaeh walks away, wanting none of this.

Backstage, Susan is in a room dancing and saying "Trust me. I am Susan!" when Deonna Purrazzo interrupts and reminds her that her match is on the pre-show.

Jazz beats Susan on the pre-show after slamming her head into the steel steps, knocking Susan unconscious.

Don Callis, Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) are seen entering the building.

Rosemary, Jordynne Grace and Havok beat Tenille Dashwood, Alisha and Nevaeh despite Nevaeh putting Havok through a table near the end of the match.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Matt Cardona. Cardona says he is a little confused when it comes to Brian Myers, and says he has challenged him to a match to shut up him only for Myers to tell him no. Cardona says he actually did not want to fight him and that he cames to Impact for himself, and asked Scott D'Amore to give him a match tonight with someone he can tear the house down with. He says it is him and Jake Something one-on-one tonight, and that while Jake Something is looking for a big break, it will not be at his expense, for he is always ready.

We see a vignette where a woman writes "Let's Get Wilde" on a bathroom mirror, followed by the message "Coming Soon April 2021."

We find out that Deonna Purrazzo has taken Susan to a doctor, who tells Susan "Your time has come." This triggers something in Susan.

Matt Cardona vs. Jake Something ends in a no-contest after Brian Myers runs out and attacks both men, ramming Jake Something's eye into the corner of the steel steps before telling Cardona that he accepts his challenge at Rebellion, saying that Cardona will be another victim of the Roster Cut.

Backstage, XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero) run into Trey Miguel, saying that he is a joke and lacks passion after Trey says that he wants nothing to do with Sami Callihan.

We hear from Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner, Rhino). Eric Young says that in every war, there are important battles and moments, and he says that their movement will move forward as they believe in it to much to allow it to fail. He tells Deaner that he failed last week, and with failure comes consequences, as failure causes the dise. He says that Violent By Design will not fail tonight and that Deaner will not fail, for they must prove that the world belongs to them and that the consequences will be more severe if he fails again.

Before the next match, Trey Miguel's entrance music plays twice, and on the second time, Trey Miguel shows up.

Despite their absolute refusal to get along, Trey Miguel and Sami Callihan beat XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero) with an Hourglass from Trey to Larry D.

At Swinger's Palace, "The Cowboy" James Storm and Chris Sabin head to the ring, and Storm asks Chris Harris to win some beer money at the blackjack table.

Chris Sabin beats Deaner after Deaner gets caught putting his feet on the ropes for leverage during a pinfall attempt. After the match, Eric Young shows up on the video screen, saying that the trap was set as the rest of Violent By Design hold Chris Harris hostage at Swinger's Palace. Suddenly, Storm is attacked from out of nowhere by Rhino, and Deaner joins in. Eric Young tells Storm that there was no other way and that the blood is on his hands

Backstage, Ace Austin talks to Madman Fulton when "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander shows up to say that their three-way match for the X Division Championship against TJP is official for Rebellion. TJP shows up and says he has beaten Austin and Alexander. Both sides nearly come to blows when Tommy Dreamer shows up and puts both Austin, TJP and Alexander in a three-way tag team match where both men have mystery partners.

Backstage, Eric Young is confronted by Tommy Dreamer, who says that justice comes to everyone sooner or later and that Eric Young is full of shit. Young says the sickness is everywhere and that nobody is more contaminated than Dreamer, and that sooner or later, he will get rid of him. Dreamer then challenges Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner, Rhino) to a match against him and a couple of friends at Hardcore Justice.

We hear from Jazz, who talks about how she started her career by training with The Junkyard Dog, tried out for Extreme Championship Wrestling, and how she got started wrestling women in WWE. She also talks about how what was supposed to be a brief run in Impact Wrestling for the Knockouts tag team titles led to a career vs. title match against Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts Championsip at Hardcore Justice. Jazz says she will become the Knockouts Champion.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Deonna Purrazzo, who says that seeing Jazz's career highlights reminds her of seeing women set the stage for real women's wrestling. She says that she is building upon a foundation Jazz has built but has crumbled under what she has done for a new generation. She says that she built "The Age of the Virtuosa" on her back, and the only to beat Jazz is by herself. She says she cannot go out there and be defeated or distracted, and that she will give back the only way she knows how by retiring Jazz.

Backstage, Brian Myers is confronted by Tommy Dreamer, who says that Myers is always pissing people off and that Jake Something wants a match against him. He puts Myers in a "Blind Games" Match where both men are blindfolded and in a hardcore match at Hardcore Justice.

Before the next match, Don Callis introduces Kenny Omega to the ring.

Willie Mack, Eddie Edwards and Rich Swann beat Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) despite Don Callis pulling Rich Swann out of a pinfall attempt after Swann escapes the One Winged Angel.

Here are the top five moments from tonight's show!
