After Dark Elevation - AEW Dark Elevation recap for April 5, 2021

"Hangman" Adam Page beats Bill Collier.

The Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) beat Dean Alexander and Carlie Bravo.

Before the next match, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. makes light of the fact that Alex Gracia is enhancement talent before saying Gracia had a tremendous showing against Thunder Rosa. She says that since she wants to elevate the women's division on AEW Dark Elevation and Gracia is not going to win, she asks for the crowd to put respect on "The Pink Dream." She then says that this match will be a clean exhibition match and gets on her knees to give Gracia the first shot, but Britt Baker immediately counters into the Lockjaw and locks it in. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. beats Alex Gracia.

Preston "10" Vance beats Danny Limelight with a full nelson.

Big Swole beats Jazmin Allure with the Texas Cloverleaf.

Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Matt and Mike Sydal. Matt says that after last week, he felt pretty beat up, but he bends and does not break, and he stands on his own two feet against to fight alongside Matt. Matt says he is disappointed in Scorpio Sky for welcoming him to AEW only to turn out to be another phony, and says his and Mike's bond is unbreakable and that Scorpio Sky and "All Ego" Ethan Page have payback coming their way tonight. Matt says he and Mike see through them and their makeshift partnership, and tonight, they will see what they are saying.

M.T. Nakazawa beats Vary Morales after Vary Morales nearly runs into the referee, allowing Nakazawa to hit Morales with the laptop for the win.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts guests on commentary for the next match.

Lance Archer beats Baron Black. After the match, Jake "The Snake" Roberts wishes he had more time on the announce table, then says nobody wants to fight him or Archer anywere, and says they have invited themselves. Archer says it is his time, but everyone else gets an interview instread of him while everybody is scared of him. Archer says that he respects Sting, for without Sting there would be no Lance Archer, but ever since Sting returned to TNT, it was all about Sting and not him. He says that people will chant his name before too long, because Sting's time is his time, and sooner or later, it's showtime.

Ryo Mizunami beats Tesha Price.

"Platinum" Max Caster beats Colt Cabana aftre Anthony Bowens gers on the apron, tosses Caster's chain to Evil Uno to distract referee Aubrey Edwards, then slides the boombox in so Caster can trip Cabana into it with a drop toe hold.

The Butcher, The Blade and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) beat Adam Priest, Ryzin, D3 and Fuego del Sol in an eight-man tag team match.

As part of a new segment of the show called "Showcase," Paul Wight interviews John "4" Silver. Silver says he had a long journey to make it to AEW, and mentions that he started at 14 years old (and at 110 pounds) and that Alex "3" Reynolds started training about the sime time he got started. He says that it took 15 years for him and Reynolds to be taken seriously as a potential hire, and it was not until Evil Uno and Stu Grayson recruited them into The Dark Order that they got their big break. Silver calls Brodie Lee a big influence on his career, and says that Brodie Lee truly cared about them and The Dark Oder getting better not only as performers but as people. Silver also mentions his shoulder injury in his TNT Championship match with Darby Allin and says that he needs to heal up, then mentions that he got respect from the back from Darby Allin and Sting in the back after the match. Silver says that when he heals up, he will be going for championship gold.



Matt Hardy beats Alan "5" Angels with a guillotine choke, which he calls "The Leech." After the match, Matt Hardy says the fans should be watching him instead of college basketball, and now that he is making money again, he is going through each member of The Dark Order with the "Hardy Family Office" until they are destroyed. He says that the Hardy Family Office will talk all the money and all the titles, then addresses Darby Allin calling him a "sell-out," saying that he smartened up, not sold out, and that Darby Allin is on his list.

Scorpio Sky and "All Ego" Ethan Page beat Matt and Mike Sydal.
