Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for October 23, 2021

At the start of the show, it is revealed that two people have been attacked outside of the arena.

Gentleman Jervis beats Jay Smooth following a brief fight with Martin in the ring that almost causes the match to end in a disqualification (and then doesn't, despite the bell having been rung to call for the disqualification).

Dustin Starr interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and The Revenant of Walker Hayes and shows his disdain for Blaylock. Blaylock calls Dustin "biased," and Dustin takes it as a compliment. Blaylock says he has the meanest man in Walker Hayes and that he and Hayes will take anyone on in a hardcore match.

It is revealed that two more people have been attacked backstage.

We hear from "Big Swole" Justin Cole, who says he has two more weeks to raise money to fight cancer, and that he plans to add to that amount when he body slams Carlos Alexander Rios.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Carlos Alexander Rios. During the match, Cole hits three slams followed by the Swole Slam for another $100, bringing the grand total to $300.

K-Toomer beats Action Jackson.

Backstage, the police - who have been noticing the attacks on people backstage - interview some people on what is going on.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels quickly beats Kid Wrestling.

We hear from Amber Rodriguez and Skyler. Amber calls "Smokin' Hott" Nikki Lane "a sorry excuse for a champion" and Diana Taylor "a sorry excuse for a person," and that since Nikki can't compete this week after what happened last week, it's just them against Diana Taylor.

Amber Rodriguez and Skyler beat Diana Taylor in a two-on-one handicap match. During the match, Sarah Wolfe gets in Diana Taylor's corner, but Skyler knocks her off the apron to keep her from tagging in.

Derrick King and Danny B. Good guest on commentary for the next match.

The Yung GOATs (Zay Washington and Aaron Roberts) retain the Memphis Tag Team Championships against The Allied Empire (Ken Dang and Meklakov). After the commercial break, Derrick King admits that The Yung GOATs are great, but they are not Derrick King and Danny B. Good, saying that The Yung GOATs may think they are the new stars, but he and Danny B. Good are still here. Aaron Roberts calls the match "The Yung GOATs vs. The Old GOATs," which causes Derrick and Danny to get ready to fight and Derrick to take offense to the statement, saying that when he and Danny win, they will know why they are "the number one goats."

At the announce desk, Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony, who says that he warned everyone that either his #1 contendership problem gets fixed or else he fixes it. He says he got into the ring and beat "Big Swole" Justin Cole fair and square to become #1 contender to the Memphis Heritage Championship, and that nobody should have come before him and that he should have had Alan Steel one-on-one. He calls Dustin Starr out for favoritism towards "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and "fist bumping a bum," and challenges Brett Michaels to a match today at Commerce Street Market. He then implies that he was the one who attacked people backstage earlier today before flat out saying he did it, then the police show up. Mike Anthony allows himself to be arrested and says he will make bail, then Brett Michaels shows up and confronts Anthony as Anthony is taken to jail.
