Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 1, 2023

The show begins with K-Toomer making his way to the ring through the crowd, with an escort by Big Dan, and Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk. K-Toomer says opportunities do not come too often and that he should be standing here the Heritage Champion, but someone wanted to make a name at his expense. When he hears that "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and Maurice The Strong is the main event, K-Toomer says the real event is when he shows up and raises hell, because The Circuz (Barnabas the Leader and Maurice the Strong) have no idea what they have done.



Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Van Viciouss, Jason Vain, ake and Elwood) at the announce desk. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock says that Diana Taylor has been avoiding him like the plague and has not been returning his calls, and wants her to call him. He also brags about getting rid of "Casanova" Colton Cage was the best thing to happen to the Clique. Van Viciouss says he stayed true to his word and got rid of Colton Cage, and that Colton Cage will never show his face in Memphis Wrestling again. Viciouss then demands an opponent.



In footage from earlier today, "Big Trouble" Ben Bishop intimidates a few people at the WrestleCenter, including one person who shakes his hand when he asks people to shake his hand.



The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) beat The Hollywood Clique (Van Viciouss and Jason Vain) after "Casanova" Colton Cage shows up with a chair, distracting the Clique and allowing Bradley to hit a big boot for the win. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Colton Cage, who says that everyone has seen the saga unfold and that a year ago, "Hollywood" Jimmy Clique promised him everything but proved he was nothing more than a con artist. He says that he and Van Viciouss were supposed to be co-stars, yet he was always the stunt double despite doing what he was supposed to, and that he was there so that Van Viciouss could get everything. When that did not happen, Blaylock snapped on him, and he had to leave the Clique. He also says that the five-on-one beatdown given to him by The Hollywood Clique is not the end of the story, and that the real final scene will be the end of Jimmy Blaylock.



Dustin Starr interviews Coliseum Coalition co-founder Marvin Stockwell, who says that Mayor Jim Strickland wants to tear down the Mid-South Coliseum and replace it with a soccer stadium, and while 901 FC is loved by the fans, the Coalition would like the stadium to be built somewhere else. Reverend Ash Taylor shows up with Jennifer Justice (dressed as a nun) and Bulletproof Bruce, and says the Mid-South Coliseum will be replaced with "a righteous refuge," as Memphis needs a chance to play, not a ruin of idols. He then says that they will destroy the Coliseum, starting with Marvin Stockwell, then "Big Swole" Justin Cole shows up. He says Memphis is a mecca for wrestling and that Mid-South Coliseum is "the Carnegie Hall," then says that if Ash Taylor wants to take Stockwell out, he will have to go through him. Reverend Ash Taylor says they will fight Big Swole on their time, then he and his congregation leave.



Action Jackson beats "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt.

We hear from Derrick King and Alan Steel, who talk about Ray Ray Sanders getting hurt in last week's street fight and how professional wrestling is not ballet. There is no time table on Ray Ray Sanders' return, but Steel says Ray Ray has a lot of fight. Derrick King says that when Ray Ray Sanders comes back, he will be coming for vengeance. We then see footage from after the match where Ray Ray Sanders is helped to the back.



Backstage, Big John Dalton meets with Mackenzie Mitchell and tells her to be careful and watch her back, as Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston have a nasty plan for her.



Cassandra Golden retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Mackenzie Morgan when she manages to get her foot on the rope and Mackenzie Morgan argues with the referee over the rope break.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels vs. Maurice the Strong ends before it can begin when K-Toomer shows up to raise hell as promised. Brett Michaels steps aside and sends the referee away so that K-Toomer and Maurice can brawl, and despite a brief distraction from Barnabas the Leader, K-Toomer comes out on top.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for December 31, 2022

Dustin Starr interviews Big John Dalton and "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk. Dalton says that for two weeks, he has had to sit with his father as his father was hurting. He then issues a challenge to Mike Anthony to a no count-out, no disqualification match. Dustin Starr and Brett Michaels both show concern, and Brett says from experience that Mike Anthony is on another level. Dalton insists on doing this, and says it will be him and Mike Anthony as soon as the bell rings. Brett Michaels says he will watch Big John Dalton's back from a distance, then says that regardless of whoever wins, Mike Anthony will have to watch his back, for he is coming for him.



Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders beat The Hollywood Clique (Van Viciouss and "Casanova" Colton Cage) to become #1 contenders for the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships after Colton Cage inadvertently punches out Van Viciouss with a punch meant for Derrick King after Derrick King ducks it, allowing Derrick King to hit the superkick for the win.



Dustin Starr interviews Martin and Jennifer Justice at the announce desk. Martin says he and Jennifer Justice have noticed that some people need some attitude adjustments, and from now on, they will be known as "The Re-Adjustments." He also says they are the best intergender tag team in Memphis Wrestling. Martin then calls out The Golden Savages (Cassandra Golden and Gio Savage), who show up. Martin challenges The Golden Savages to a mixed tag match, and Cassandra Golden says she and Gio never back down from a challenge. Martin then adds a stipulation, and demands Cassandra Golden defend the Memphis Women's Championship. Cassandra accepts.

The Golden Savages (Cassandra Golden and Gio Savage) beat Martin and Jennifer Justice in a mixed tag match. Cassandra Golden retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship.





Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony at the announce desk. Mike Anthony says that he is 2022 and that he is 2023, then refuses to call Big John Dalton "big" because the word "big" has been thrown around way too much, especially when he put down Big Jack. Mike Anthony then brags about Dalton's father's blood being on his hand, then tells Dalton that he just signed his own death certificate before telling him that he accepts his challenge.



"Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt beats Action Jackson. During the match, Rembrandt brings a chair into the ring, but the referee takes it away. As the referee removes the chair from the ring, Rembrandt hits Jackson with a low blow.



Backstage, "Coach" Justin Klein meets with Ray Collins. Klein says Collins has some natural talent, but not wins, and says he can offer him clout and confidence before giving him an offer to join The Hot Shots. Ray Collins asks what is in it for him, then Klein offers him a ride in a Hummer and not in Collins' Nissan Versa.

King Cobra guests on commentary for the next match.

Mike Anthony retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against Big John Dalton in a no count-out, no disqualification match after putting Big John Dalton through a table. After the match, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels runs into the ring and checks on Big John Dalton alongside the referee.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for February 5, 2022

Action Jackson beats Carlos Alexander Rios to advance in the Cobra Cup Tournament.



We hear from Diana Taylor, who feels that she is not good enough to be the Memphis Women's Championship, then decides to put in the work.



Backstage, Derrick King and Danny B. Good talk about the Grind City Rumble. As Derrick King mentions that DJ Brown threw him over the top rope, Danny reminds him that Tiger Joe is really whom he should be worried about.



Danny B. Good and Derrick King beat The Elements of Wrestling ("Casanova" Colton Cage and Van Viciouss).



We hear from "Big Swole" Justin Cole. Cole says that he has his mind on the Memphis Heritage Championship, but he is continuously asked about The Posse. He states that he is no longer friends with them and that he does not agree with anything they are doing.



King Cobra introduces the new, more durable Cobra Cup, and it is announced that the cup can be turned in for an opportunity for any championship, any time, anywhere.



We hear from Austin Lane, who says that while K-Toomer may be the baddest man, he is still the best of the best and K-Toomer is getting Austin Lane the man and not the wrestler. He says he protects his family and friends as he mentions the fans' support. He says that it will all end this week, and that he will be glad to leave it all in the ring after all is said and done.

We see a video package chronicling the events leading up to Austin Lane vs. K-Toomer.



Dustin Starr interviews Meklakov at the announce table. Meklakov speaks in Russian before saying he is the greatest thing in professional wrestling before mocking the fans for being fat and lazy. He then issues an open challenge to anyone in the building to see if they can break out of the Mekla-Lock. Suddenly, Steve, a member of security and a trainee of the WrestleCenter, accepts the challenge. Meklakov puts Steve in the hold, but when Steve taps out, it takes four people to get Meklakov to let go.



Backstage, Uncle Mikey talks with The Skimahorns about how close he was to winning the Grind City Rumble. They both disagree on whether or not Mikey would have made it that far if The Skimahorns had not been in the match.

In backstage footage from earlier in the week, Dustin Starr meet with The Posse and tell them they are no longer allowed in the WrestleCenter after letting everybody down and stealing the Memphis Tag Team Championships unless they return the tag team titles. Lil Chris says they will be here next week with the belts. Lil Chris says they will be here next week with the belts. As The Posse leaves, Lil Chris tells Simon that the belts are not all they are bringing.

Austin Lane beats K-Toomer in a non-sanctioned match after K-Toomer fades from the STF following a Con-Chair-To.

Grind City Rumble, Part Two - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for January 15, 2022

We hear from "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, who says that today is the day and that when the dust settles and the smoke clears, all he will hear is a boom. We then hear from Mike Anthony, who says that today is the day that he rises to the top and Michaels' reign as Memphis Heritage Champion comes to an end, and that he will do whatever it takes.



Danny B. Good and DJ Brown beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn).



We hear from Zay Washington. He mentions that he will take care of The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) later; today, he is here to have his brother's back.



When asked about The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) backstage, "Big Swole" Justin Cole says he will focus on The Posse after the Grind City Rumble.



Action Jackson beats Carlos Alexander Rios. After the match, Action Jackson says he is Rumble ready.



We hear from Skyler, who says that her actions speak for her and that Amber Rodriguez is hers. We then hear from Amber Rodriguez, who says she has heard nothing but ignorance and that she will burst her bubble and shatter her dreams as only she can so she can focus on new clients.





We hear from Heather Monroe, who says that everyone wants a chance at the Memphis Women's title but seems too distracted to actually get it, especially Amber Rodriguez and Skyler, who she hopes rip each other to shreds so she can take what is left because she is a smart and fighting champion.



Rashad Lee - who is Zay Washington's blood brother - vs. Jay Smooth ends in a no-contest after The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) show up and Rashad Lee dives at them from the top rope. After the match, The Posse attack Rashad Lee, then flee when Zay Washington shows up with a chair.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Heritage Championship against Mike Anthony in a no-rules Final Showdown after handcuffing Mike Anthony and hitting Anthony with a chain wrapped around his bicep during the GunShow Lariat.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for October 23, 2021

At the start of the show, it is revealed that two people have been attacked outside of the arena.



Gentleman Jervis beats Jay Smooth following a brief fight with Martin in the ring that almost causes the match to end in a disqualification (and then doesn't, despite the bell having been rung to call for the disqualification).



Dustin Starr interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and The Revenant of Walker Hayes and shows his disdain for Blaylock. Blaylock calls Dustin "biased," and Dustin takes it as a compliment. Blaylock says he has the meanest man in Walker Hayes and that he and Hayes will take anyone on in a hardcore match.



It is revealed that two more people have been attacked backstage.

We hear from "Big Swole" Justin Cole, who says he has two more weeks to raise money to fight cancer, and that he plans to add to that amount when he body slams Carlos Alexander Rios.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Carlos Alexander Rios. During the match, Cole hits three slams followed by the Swole Slam for another $100, bringing the grand total to $300.



K-Toomer beats Action Jackson.

Backstage, the police - who have been noticing the attacks on people backstage - interview some people on what is going on.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels quickly beats Kid Wrestling.



We hear from Amber Rodriguez and Skyler. Amber calls "Smokin' Hott" Nikki Lane "a sorry excuse for a champion" and Diana Taylor "a sorry excuse for a person," and that since Nikki can't compete this week after what happened last week, it's just them against Diana Taylor.



Amber Rodriguez and Skyler beat Diana Taylor in a two-on-one handicap match. During the match, Sarah Wolfe gets in Diana Taylor's corner, but Skyler knocks her off the apron to keep her from tagging in.



Derrick King and Danny B. Good guest on commentary for the next match.

The Yung GOATs (Zay Washington and Aaron Roberts) retain the Memphis Tag Team Championships against The Allied Empire (Ken Dang and Meklakov). After the commercial break, Derrick King admits that The Yung GOATs are great, but they are not Derrick King and Danny B. Good, saying that The Yung GOATs may think they are the new stars, but he and Danny B. Good are still here. Aaron Roberts calls the match "The Yung GOATs vs. The Old GOATs," which causes Derrick and Danny to get ready to fight and Derrick to take offense to the statement, saying that when he and Danny win, they will know why they are "the number one goats."



At the announce desk, Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony, who says that he warned everyone that either his #1 contendership problem gets fixed or else he fixes it. He says he got into the ring and beat "Big Swole" Justin Cole fair and square to become #1 contender to the Memphis Heritage Championship, and that nobody should have come before him and that he should have had Alan Steel one-on-one. He calls Dustin Starr out for favoritism towards "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and "fist bumping a bum," and challenges Brett Michaels to a match today at Commerce Street Market. He then implies that he was the one who attacked people backstage earlier today before flat out saying he did it, then the police show up. Mike Anthony allows himself to be arrested and says he will make bail, then Brett Michaels shows up and confronts Anthony as Anthony is taken to jail.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for September 11, 2021

Action Jackson beats Jay Smooth in his first appearance in weeks after Martin's interference attempt backfires due to Martin not knowing what to do with it. After the match, interim General Manager U-Gene shows his appreciation for Action Jackson before stating that he is excited about the Memphis Heritage Championship, saying that Alan Steel will have to defend the title against "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and Mike Anthony next week.



Diana Taylor and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beat Skyler and Amber Rodriguez. After the match, Skyler hits Diana with a chop block and attacks Diana while Amber holds Nikki back in the corner.



Backstage, Van Viciouss meets by BB Ryann and asks if she has seen Miss Beronica before hitting on Ryann.

Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) at the announce desk. Marko Stunt is in a burlap sack carried by The Revenant of Walker Hayes. Jimmy Blaylock says that Marko Stunt volunteered to be here today and that The Hollywood Horror Show is looking for new members. After threatening to hit Dustin Starr, he says that they have "The Revenant of Marko Stunt" and that today is a great day. Suddenly, The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) show up and demand that they let Marko Stunt go and let him come to them, but Blaylock says this is none of their business. Suddenly, Marko Stunt gets out of the burlap stack and fights alongside The Posse against The Hollywood Horror Show. Security and referees have to break up the brawl, which gets pretty close to the announce desk. Dustin Starr then interviews Marko Stunt, who challenges The Hollywood Horror Show to a six-man tag match against himself and The Posse next week.



In footage from earlier today, Austin Lane says that K-Toomer is about injuring people and not being the best of the best. He says he is about protecting the business and Memphis wrestling, and after taking challenge after challenge, he challenges K-Toomer next week.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Danny B. Good meets with Derrick King and proposes that the two of them become a tag team now that Derrick King has a fire back within him. Derrick King is not exactly thrilled about the idea.

Danny B. Good guests on commentary for the next match.

Derrick King beats Carlos Alexander Rios with a superkick after Danny B. Good talks Derrick King out of hitting Rios with the temporarily banned piledriver.



Backstage, U-Gene meets with "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane when Johnny Dotson confronts U-Gene for putting him in a match last week. U-Gene considers putting himself in a match against Dotson when he pulls the action figure out of his hand and throws it down on the ground.

We see another video of Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes, and this time, Hayes fist bumps Matthews. We then see the words "Country Rock."

The Allied Empire (Meklakov and Ken Dang) beat The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) by disqualification after Zay Washington inadvertently hits the ref and The Yung GOATs attack The Allied Empire with Kendo sticks.

Dustin Starr interviews Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson at the announce desk. Steel is furious he in a three-way title match and says that he will not be disrespected. As Steel says that U-Gene needs to go back where he comes from, Mike Anthony shows up wanting to fight Alan Steel. Brett Michaels then shows up and throws Steel into the ring while Mike Anthony brawls with Johnny Dotson. Mike Anthony and Brett Michaels stand tall in the ring as the show ends, but both men stare each other down in the center of the ring as the show ends.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for July 17, 2021

We see The Skimahorns (Brad Skimahorn, Briar Skimahorn, Uncle Mikey) relaxing like champions at a local park. Uncle Mikey says that next week, The Skimahorns will prove that they can wrestle like champions.



"The Gun Show" Brett Michaels beats The Revenant of Walker Hayes.



The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) beat The Crowleys (Jacksyn and Otis Crowley) to become #1 contenders for the Memphis Tag Team Championships.



Dustin "Five" Starr interviews King Cobra and Connor at the announce table. King Cobra says that he has been working with Connor, who has "the heart of a lion and the smarts of a fox," and says that things will be different against a bigger man. After Connor says that he looks forward to taking on Austin Lane, Austin Lane shows up. King Cobra says next time will be a different ouctome, and Connor says he is here to take on the best. Austin Lane asks King Cobra if Connor - who he admits has not been here long - is ready. King Cobra says he is ready, and so does Connor. Austin Lane says that if King Cobra says Connor is ready, he will give him another shot. Austin Lane says that while he respects King Cobra, the ring is his house, and he tells Connor to lace up next week, because he is prepared to hurt him.



Before the next match, Alan Steel - who now has the Memphis Heritage Championship back in his possession - finds out that Johnny Dotson has been barred from the building and becomes livid. As Alan Steel says that the deck has been stacked against him and Dotson since day one, Action Jackson shows up. Action Jackson says Alan Steel doesn't have Dotson to help him cheat, and when Steel says this is his only shot, Jackson says he will take advantage of it. Action Jackson says Alan Steel doesn't have Dotson to help him cheat, and when Steel says this is his only shot, Jackson says he will take advantage of it. Jackson then hits Alan Steel in the face and briefly beats him up before getting him in the ring to start the match.

Alan Steel retains the Memphis Heritage Championship against Action Jackson after nearly whipping Action Jackson into the referee, allowing Steel to hit a low blow as the referee is still looking back hoping not to get hurt.



We see a video package about the Gauntlet For The Gold for the Memphis Women's Championship.



"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beats Queen Katelynn, Claudia Solis, Lil Bit, Paris Kelly, Diana Taylor and Rebel Kel to win the Gauntlet For The Gold and become the inaugural Memphis Women's Champion! During the match, Eric McMahon enters the ring and produces a restraining order that keeps Diana Taylor from being anywhere near him or Paris Kelly. Diana Taylor hits Eric McMahon with a DDT, and Eric McMahon and Paris Kelly head to the back, eliminating Paris Kelly from the gauntlet match by count-out. After the match, Rebel Kel, Diana Taylor and Claudia Solis clap for Nikki Lane at ringside.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for June 19, 2021

The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) heads to the announce table. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock brags about destroying Brett Michaels and Austin Lane and says there is no telling who will be destroyed next, as nobody is safe. He then says it is time for The Hollywood Horror Show.



Otis Crowley beats Connor. After the match, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock reiterates that The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) will destroy everyone in their way, and says that they will return.





Eric McMahon and Paris Kelly head to the announce table. Eric says that Paris Kelly still has emotional trauma and loss of vision and that Diana Taylor has one last chance to make things right. He calls out Diana Taylor, who shows up. Eric demands Diana apologize to Paris, and Diana tells Paris that she did not mean to hurt her.Eric demands Diana apologize to Paris, and Diana tells Paris that she did not mean to hurt her. Eric accepts the apology, but wants Diana Taylor to admit that she caused physical trauma and loss of vision, but Paris says she is not responsible for it is her job. As Diana leaves, Eric commands Paris Kelly to attack Diana Taylor, and Paris does that with one of her own high-heeled shoes before referees show up to restore order.



"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beats Lil Bit. During the match, it is announced that today's main event is Action Jackson vs. Johnny Dotson, and if Action Jackson wins, he gets a match with Alan Steel. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Nikki Lane, who says that she wants to see a women's title with all the championship talk going on.



Austin Lane heads to the announce table. Austin says that The Crowleys and Walker Hayes gave him a fight last week, saying he feels like he was powerbomb through a bunch of bricks. Austin Lane says that he will have a special "Best of the Best" open challenge on tonight's Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night and prove he is the best of the best, then Derrick King and "The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black show up for the first time since the Grind City Rumble. Derrick King accepts Austin Lane's open challenge for tonight's show.



Jay Smooth vs. Maxx Stone ends in a no-contest. During the match, The Skimahorns (Brad Skimahorn, Briar Skimahorn, Uncle Mikey) show up wanting to know where the tag team titles are at. Dave Brown says this will be addressed after the match, then The Skimahorns attack both Jay Smooth and Maxx Stone. The Skimahorns then continue to demand the tag team titles, then The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) and The Posse (Lil Chris and Simon) show up. Dave Brown then reveals the Memphis Tag Team Championships, and that one of the three teams at the announce table will walk out of tonight's show with the titles around their waists.





Ken Dang vs. "Big Swole" Justin Cole ends with Norman Meklakov attacking Justin Cole in the middle of the match. After the match, Meklakov shoves the referee before he and Deng continue to assault Justin Cole. Afterwards, Justin Cole says he will have to find a tag team partner to face Ken Dang and Norman Meklakov. He then challenges Meklakov to a Flag Match at Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night.





Maria Starr confronts Van Viciouss at the announce table, saying she wants nothing to do with him. Van Viciouss says he has seen the way she looks at him, and says that he knows she wants him. Maria slaps Van Viciouss in the face, but Viciouss takes it as her wanting him. Maria slaps Van Viciouss in the face, but Viciouss takes it as her wanting him. After Maria shows Dustin Starr a DM that Van Viciouss sent her, Dustin Starr takes off his watch and jacket and gets in the ring, but Viciouss attacks him. Dustin Starr soon fights back and clotheslines Van Viciouss out of the ring, and Van Viciouss retreats after blowing a kiss at Maria. Dustin Starr says he has been waiting to do this for a long time, and tells Van Viciouss he poked the bear by putting his hands on Maria before challenging Van Viciouss to a match at Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night.



Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson head to the announce table. Dotson says he is happy to have today's match, for he will show why he is pound for pound the best in the business with the top dog of Memphis wrestling at his side.



Action Jackson beats Johnny Dotson to earn a Memphis Heritage Championship match against Alan Steel.

The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) head to the announce table. Jimmy Blaylock says that they will be at Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night looking for "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and that they will hurt Brett Michaels. He says that he does not care who they take down, and says that nobody should get in their way. We then see a message from Brett Michaels, who has a bat in his hands as he tells The Hollywood Horror Show they have messed with him for the last time. He says he will be at Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night and that he will not be coming alone. Blaylock responds by saying that tonight, somebody is going to get hurt.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for May 29, 2021

Memphis Grizzlies announcer Pete Pranica is on commentary this week.

"The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson show up. Steel says that if they wanted to attack Jerry Jarrett, they would have done it, and Dotson says that "The GunShow" Brett Michaels put his hands on him because he is jealous. Suddenly, Brett Michaels and Action Jackson show up. Action Jackson shows up, saying they are tired of the disrespect before challenging Steel and Dotson to a tag team match against him and Michaels. Michaels says that the Memphis Heritage Championship is coming home to him next week.

The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) show up. Brad says that their back-up is coming as they head to the ring to face The Yung GOATs (Zay Washington and Aaron Roberts).

The Yung GOATs (Zay Washington and Aaron Roberts) beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn). After the match, The Posse (Lil Chris and Simon) show up, and Simon makes fun of The Skimahorns for losing. Suddenly, The Skimahorns call for Uncle Mikey, who is their back-up, and Uncle Mikey shows up.





Backsage, Action Jackson meets with "The GunShow" Brett Michaels about what happened at the end of last week's show, then says that while Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson are feared, they are disrespectful, and he plants to get even. Brett Michaels tells Action Jackson that if he can have his back this week, he can get the first shot at the Memphis Heritage Championship when he wins it.

Eric McMahon and Paris Kelly guest on the announce table for the next match.

"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beats Diana Taylor after Eric McMahon gets on the apron, distracting Diana Taylor as she goes for the DDT and gives Nikki Lane an opening to win.



Dustin Starr interviews Austin Lane. Austin says he is here because he has always been a fan of Memphis wrestling, and that Championship Wrestling From Memphis has the best talent in the world and can put them against anybody. He says he wants to prove he is the best in the ring, and starting next week, he will issue an open challenge to anybody in the world who wants to step up to him to prove he is a wrestling machine.



"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Maxx Stone. After the match, Big Swole heads to the announce desk for an interview, but he is soon attacked from behind by Norman Meklakov, who puts him in the full nelson.



Dustin Kelly interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, who says that "The GunShow" Brett Michaels should be in anger management, and says that Michaels is a loser who cannot win a match when Action Jackson and Brett Michaels show up. Blaylock tells Michaels that "they" are coming for him very soon before he heads to the back.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for May 22, 2021



"The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson show up and are interviewed by Dustin Starr at the announce table in the debuting Wrestlecenter. Steel has the feeling he was not wanted as the first Memphis Heritage Champion, and Dotson says he and Steel are the hottest thing going around here. Steel says he and Dotson are the highlights in Championship Wrestling From Memphis, then we see a video package chronicling events from Steel and Dotson's debut and Steel's win in the Grind City Rumble. Steel then says that Dotson's opinion is the only one that matters, and says that in just a little while, they will make one more highlight when Jerry Jarrett awards him the Memphis Heritage Championship and raises their hands in victory.



We see footage of The Posse helping to build the announce table for the Wrestlecenter after The Posse shows up wearing hard hats. Dustin and Maria find out they are on The Posse's "no-prank" list as it is announced that The Posse will be facing The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn).





The Posse (Simon and Lil' Chris) beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn). After the match, The Skimahorns are angry with their inability to win and people showing up to play games, and Brad says that back-up is coming while Briar says it is "all a political game."





Dustin Starr interviews "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane at the announce desk after some highlights. Nikki says she did what she came to do: slay "The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black and dethrone Derrick King. She says that she is now focused on winning the women's championship. Afterwards, Eric McMahon makes a surprise appearance, saying he fired Super Ed after neither of them showed up at the Grind City Rumble, then says his new client Paris Kelly was in a bad accident a couple of weeks ago. Paris Kelly shows up, and we then see a picture of her from after the accident. Eric then calls out Diana Taylor, who is about to face Nikki Lane, and Diana says that she did not mean to hurt anybody. Eric McMahon demands an apology, and when Diana apologizes, Eric says it is not good enough and to not talk to his client, for they will be suing her in county court for damages.





"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beats Diana Taylor by count-out when Diana Taylor leaves and heads to the back, unable to focus on the match with Eric McMahon and Paris Kelly at ringside.



Dustin Starr interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock at the announce desk. Blaylock demands he be called a director, not a wrestling manager, and says he directs people to kick butt and that he will do this as he directs the "Hollywood Horror Show." As he says he does not care about "The GunShow" Brett Michaels - whom he calls "a big crybaby" - Brett Michaels shows up and Dustin Starr is caught between them. Brett Michaels says the fans know he should be Memphis Heritage Champion right now, then heads to the ring after apologizing to Maxx Stone, saying Jimmy "cost [him] every bit of this right now."



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Maxx Stone. After the match, Brett Michaels chases "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock to the back, then it is announced that Brett Michaels will get a one-on-one Memphis Heritage Championship match against Alan Steel in two weeks. Brett Michaels says he has bigger fish to fry after what's happened to him in Championship Wrestling From Memphis so far, and that he will become the next Memphis Heritage Champion.



"The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson show up accusing Dustin Starr of being friends with "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and giving out title shots, then Steel demands to know how much longer he has to wait to be given the Memphis Heritage Championship. After being told that Jerry Jarrett is indeed here, Steel says he and Dotson are the only people they worry about and demands that Jerry Jarrett get out to the ring.

Action Jackson beats "The King of Pow" Chris Lexx. After the match, Action Jackson says "The King of Pow" Chris Lexx can go all day, then gets the crowd pumped one more time.



Jerry Jarrett is in the ring with the Memphis Heritage Championship as "The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson make their way there. Jarrett speaks with Steel and Dotson, then awards the Memphis Heritage Championship to Steel and raises Steel's hand. Suddenly, Steel jerks his hand away and Steel puts on his black gloves after Dotson hands them to him. Suddenly, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels gets in the ring but gets outnumbered, and Action Jackson runs into the ring to make the save for Michaels. Michaels and Jackson then clean house. Jerry Jarrett, who has left the ring at the beginning of the brawl, gets in the ring with Michaels and Jackson and thanks them before raising their hands.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for May 1, 2021

In the parking lot, a white limousine pulls up in front of the building.

Jase Osei beats Super Ed with a knee to the face after Super Ed puts his hat on Jase Osei's head. After the match, Eric McMahon hands Jase Osei a business card, but Jase Osei tosses it away.



Outside of the building, Nikki and Austin Lane try to get into the white limousine.



Backstage, Terrence Ward interviews Derrick King, Van Viciouss and "The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black, who are already in the building. Derrick King says that if Austin Lane wants to find them, he is anywhere, anytime and anyplace, for he runs from nobody, especially Austin Lane.

We see footage of The Crowleys (Jacksyn and Otis Crowley) holding Walker Hayes hostage.



Jonny Lyons draws a number for the Grind City Rumble. He says he has faced some of the biggest men that the business has to offer, and says it is not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. Suddenly, Jimmy Blaylock shows up and draws a number for the Grind City Rumble, not for himself, but for somebody else that he refuses to identify.



The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) beat Big Ace and Big Jack when The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) show up with silly string and Hawaiian shirts and inadvertently spray silly string into the faces of Big Jack and Big Ace when The Posse duck.



Nikki and Austin Lane vs. Derrick King and "The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black is next week!



"The Genetic Nightmare" Mike Anthony beats Maxx Stone.



Backstage, Action Jackson and "The Last Hotstepper" DJ Brown talk about their upcoming big matches when DJ Brown's father, Danny B. Good, shows up, saying he is supporting Brown for his big match today and that he will be by his side.



Diana Taylor beats Cassandra Golden after Precious and "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt - who show up shortly after the start of the match - start arguing with and shoving each other.



Backstage, Norman Meklakov draws a number for the Grind City Rumble. He says that he will soon become the Memphis Heritage Champion.



"The Last Hotstepper" DJ Brown beats Izaiah Zane. DJ Brown's father, Danny B. Good, is seen in the audience during the match.



Backstage, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels draws a number for the Grind City Rumble. He says it has been "a hell of a ride" before he gets his number, then says he is not done with Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson and that he will come after them if they mess up today.



"The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson beat Bam Bam Malone and Action Jackson after Dotson hits Action Jackson with a low blow when the referee is not paying attention. After the match, Steel and Dotson continue to take the boots to Bam Bam Malone, then "The GunShow' Brett Michaels runs in and fights both Steel and Dotson, sending them both over the top rope.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Hollywood recap for April 24, 2021

At the start of the show, Honest John shows up to sell a pair of headphone as well as Todd Kenneley's cellphone to commentary.

Acting matchmaker Jamie Iovine, Cece Chanel, Viva Van and Halston Boddy head to the ring. Iovine says he has given a name to his pains in the past, and it is Heather Monroe, who he says is now gone. He says it will be a bright, sunshine-y day, then congratulates Halston Boddy for playing a two-year long game by putting Halston Boddy's name on Coastline Clash this year. Iovine then congratulates Viva Van on joining his family before releasing Cece Chanel from her servitude to him while keeping her under contract to the company, then says he is not good at letting go before commanding Viva Van to attack Chanel from behind.



Richie Slade beats Piranacanrana thanks to the distraction and interference from Flex McCalleon. After the match, Richie Slade takes the boots to Piranacanrana, and Flex McCalleon joins in. They then spray paint the letters "BC" on Piranacanrana's back, and Flex says this is the first of many brandings they will do.



Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews Howdy Price and Levi Shapiro. Shapiro says there is no need for worry, for he is a tag team partner and Howdy Price has big plans. Howdy Price says all his plans need is settling. Honest John then shows up and tries to sell a pair of sunglasses and a brush, and Howdy Price tells Honest John they should talk.

Midnight Heat ("Rockin'" Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) beat Action Jackson and Watson following the distraction from Guy Tweakacetti.



Mylo Matters beats Sandra Moon with an O'Connor Roll.



In footage from earlier today, Jack Famer interviews Darwin Finch, who announces that Gentleman Jervis has bruised and torn muscles and will be on the road to recovery, and if he has to hold up The Friendship Farm, he will do it. He says it will take a while for Gentleman Jervis to return, but he will be the one who will get him there.

It is announced that Jack Banning and "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater have been suspended by the United Wrestling Network until Coastline Clash, when they will face each other in a Last Man Standing Match. It is also announced that Ray Rosas is injured.

Jack Cartwright and Anthony Idol vs. Levi Shapiro and Honest John is a no-contest after Anthony Idol turns on Jack Cartwright and shakes hands with Howdy Price.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for April 17, 2021

The Memphis Heritage Championship is introduced for the first time, and it is announced that the first champion will be decided in an over-the-top battle royal knwon as the Grind City Rumble.



Backstage, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels says he wants "The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson any way he wants them, even if it means having them in a two-on-one handicap match. King Cobra shows up and tells him eh is undertaking a big task, but Michaels proposes that King Cobra watch his back. King Cobra says he will be glad to watch his back.



Cece Chanel beats Amber Rodriguez by submission after countering a submission by Rodriguez into a leg lock of her own.



The Grind City Rumble is May 15th!



Backstage, Eric McMahon is on the phone, saying that nobody wants him to manage them and that he needs the Memphis Heritage Championship. Suddenly, Super Ed shows up, much to Eric's displeasure.



Action Jackson beats "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt after using Rembrandt's own momentum against him after a top rope cross body, pinning Rembrandt. Rembrandt raises Jackson's hand after the match.



"The Genetic Nightmare" Mike Anthony beats Jonny Lyons after Anthony shoves the referee into the ropes to trip Lyon off the top turnbuckle. During the match, "Big Swole" Justin Cole - who is currently not medical cleared due to not passing concussion protocol - is kept away from the ring by referees during the match.



"The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black vs. "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane ends in a no-contest after Derrick King and Austin Lane keep getting involved. This leads to a short brawl where Nikki and Austin Lane stand tall in the ring.



The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn). During the match, Big Ace and Big Jack show up. When Zay Washington inadvertently kicks the referee in the face and The Skimahorns hit The Yung GOATs with cheap shots, Big Ace and Big Jack attack The Skimahorns. A second referee shows up and counts The Yung GOATs' double pinfall attempt, giving The Yung GOATs the win.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats "The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson in a two-on-one handicap match. During the match, King Cobra shows up to stand in Michaels' corner, and when Dotson tries to get in the ring with Michael's baseball bat, King Cobra takes it from him. This distracts Dotson and allows Michaels to hit the GunShow Lariat for the win.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for March 27, 2021

Backstage, Brett Michaels shows up with a metal baseball bat looking for Johnny Dotson and Alan Steel. He finds out from security that they are not here, then Brett says they had better not be here, because he will take them out.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels quickly beats Jay Smooth.



Backstage, Precious tells Cassandra Golden she makes for a pretty good opponent and proposes they could make a pretty good tag team. Cassandra says "Maybe," then leaves.



Backstage, Terrance Ward interviews "Big Swole" Justin Cole, who is soon attacked by Mike Anthony, who is soon seeing kissing a brass knuckle on his left hand.



Backstage, Terrance Ward interviews Cece Chanel, who is happy to be in the arena as well as in Memphis. Suddenly, Amber Rodriguez shows up and insults Cece Chanel, saying Terrance is interviewing the wrong person and that she will show how it's done.



Amber Rodriguez beats Diana Taylor by submission.



We hear from King Cobra, who is excited that wrestling is back in Memphis and is happy to be a part of history with the Cobra Cup. He calls the destruction of the Cup last week "heartless" and compares it to having an arrow put through his heart, but says there will be repercussions. King Cobra goes on to say that "The GunShow" Brett Michaels will come back after what happened last week.



The Crowleys (Jacksyn and Otis Crowley) beat The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) after Otis grabs the tights when pins Zay Washington with a schoolkid pin. After the match, Humongous shows up, and Aaron Roberts has a staredown with him as The Crowleys take the boots to Zay Washington. Humongous soon grabs Roberts by the neck and choke slams him.



Backstage, Van Viciouss tells Queen Katelynn that "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane wants to challenge her. Katelynn calls Lane a "peasant" before saying she will accept the challenge on her own time, as she wants Derrick King to show her how it's done first.



Action Jackson beats Bam Bam Malone.



"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane vs. Queen Katelynn is announced for next week before the next match.

Derrick King beats "The King of Pow" Chris Lexx after Queen Katelynn grabs Lexx by the foot from the outside, distracting the referee so that Van Viciouss can nail Lexx in the head with a briefcase and allowing Derrick King to win with a superkick.
