Super Bout, Part Two - Memphis Wrestling recap for March 19, 2022

Dustin Starr interviews Mickie James at the announce desk. Mickie says it is great to be here and defend the Impact Knockouts World Championship every chance she gets, and says that Skyler vs. Heather Monroe for the Memphis Women's Championship will be a great match. She also announces that she is looking for great champions and great women for NWA Empowerrr, and it is announced that Mickie James will be guesting on commentary.



"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane makes an appearance before the next match and watches from ringside throughout. Before the match begins, however, "The Mad Esthetician" Amber Rodriguez suddenly shows up. Dustin Starr interviews "The Mad Esthetician" Amber Rodriguez, who says that if anyone deserves championship gold, it is her. She then says she is in this match because she runs things here and she cannot wait to rip Skyler's skin from her flesh. It is announced that Amber Rodriguez filed a complaint on the championship committee, and as a result, the match is officially a Triple Threat Match.

Skyler beats "The Killer Bae" Heather Monroe and "The Mad Esthetician" Amber Rodriguez in a Triple Threat Match to become the Memphis Women's Champion after Mickie James and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane stop Heather Monroe from running away with the championship. After the match, Amber Rodriguez throws a glove at Mickie James and disrespects her only to get slapped and hit with a Mick Kick as Mickie and Nikki Lane celebrate with Skyler.



Dustin Starr interviews Country Rock (Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes) at the announce desk. Chris Hayes says he and Carter Matthews tried to handle things with Big Jack the honest way, but it has not panned out, and since Big Jack wants to claim he is the baddest man in Memphis Wrestling, they can settle this in the ring right here, right now. Big Jack shows up with another man who is as big as he is - who is identified as Bruce - and both men fight Country Rock. Big Jack has to slap Bruce once to keep him from getting worked up before they lay out Country Rock. It is not long before Bruce and Big Jack get the win. Big Jack and Bruce beat Country Rock (Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes.



Jonathan Gresham retains the ROH World Championship against "The National Treasure" Nick Aldis after Matt Cardona's voice is heard in the WrestleCenter, confronting Aldis for ruining his NWA World title celebration and asking Aldis if he wished he had the NWA World Championship. After the match, Gresham says that Matt Cardona thinks he owns the wrestling world, but the wrestling world belongs to men like him and Aldis and those who continue wrestling's legacy, and says he and Aldis will wrestle again with "no bullshit."

Championship Gold - Memphis Wrestling recap for March 5, 2022

The show starts with The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) trying to enter the building only to be stopped by security. The Posse threaten to call the police on them, then decide to wait in the parking lot.



"The Native Beast" Nyla Rose and Skyler beat "The Mad Esthetician" Amber Rodriguez and "The Killer Bae" Heather Monroe.



Dustin Starr interviews Kross, Jay Smooth and Martin at the announce desk. Kross says that instead of beating the clock, their opposition should be worried about beating them.

Austin Lane beats Martin in a Beat The Clock Challenge Match in just over three minutes after "The GunShow" Brett Michaels shows up with a sign saying "Precious," which distracts Martin. Brett then heads to the ring for the second half of the challenge while Austin Lane guests on commentary.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Jay Smooth in a Beat The Clock Challenge Match an even faster time after Austin Lane stops Martin from using a chair and Brett hits both Martin and Jay Smooth with GunShow Lariats. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Austin Lane and Brett Michaels. Austin tells Brett that he respects him and that he saved him because he has watched him and he does not want any excuses when he walks out as Memphis Heritage Champion. Austin then says "May the best man win," and Brett says "I will."



We hear from Walker Hayes, who says that fighting was the only thing that made him feel in control, and that before he knew it, he lost everyone he knew and loved and became a living, breathing monster. He then says that even he was not prepared for what would happen in the months to come.



King Cobra shows up with the Cobra Cup trophy before the next match.

Mike Anthony beats "Casanova" Colton Cage in the Cobra Cup Tournament Finals to win the Cobra Cup as "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock shows up to take notes on the match. After the match, King Cobra gets in the ring to shake Mike Anthony's hand, but Mike Anthony just takes the Cobra Cub from his hands and raises it over his head.





Terrence Ward runs down the card for the upcoming Super Bout event.



Dustin Starr interviews Tiger Joe and Rhyno at the announce desk. Tiger Joe says he is "the sexy beast," but he is here with "the manbeast," and Rhyno says he is taking Derrick King out.



Rhyno vs. Derrick King ends with Rhyno hitting Derrick King with a piledriver. After the match, Rhyno hits Derrick King with another piledriver to end the show.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for January 1, 2022

At the start of today's show, Dustin and Maria Starr apologizes for The Posse's (Simon and Lil Chris) actions from last week and state that The Posse are suspended indefinitely. As for Aaron Roberts, there will be an update on his condition when one is available.



Dustin Starr interviews Heather Monroe at the announce desk. Heather says she will give the fans the best match they will see all year, then we see a video of Heather Monroe winning the Memphis Women's Championship. Heather then says that her Gauntlet For The Gold will be better than the first one because she is in it and that she will be defending the Women's title like the champion she is and the champion "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane no longer is.



Diana Taylor wishes us a happy new year before stating she will become the next Memphis Women's Championship.



We hear from Amber Rodriguez, who says that there is no better place for her and Skyler to have their discussion than in the Gauntlet For The Gold and that she will rearrange Skyler's face so badly that Skyler will hand the title to her. Meanwhile, Skyler's phone rings, but Skyler hangs up on it.





In footage from earlier this week, Country Rock (Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes) wish us a merry Christmas and a happy new year.



We see footage of The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) getting a ride from Derrick King and Danny B. Good to the hospital. We then see Danny B. Good talking with Derrick King. Danny B. Good says things will be better this year, and Derrick King hopes he is right, as he says 2021 was not good.





It is announced that there will be a strap match between Ivan Warsaw and Jacksyn Crowley next week.

Backstage, Ivan Warsaw says that The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley) has taken Walker Hayes' identity, then says that Hayes has shed that skin and that it is time to kill the snake that bit him. Hayes it is time for The Hollywood Horror Show to meet the monster they created.



Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley) at the announce table. Jimmy Blaylock blames Dustin Starr for next week's strap match existing and says he always rains on the Crowleys' parade. Blaylock pulls his belt off and says The Crowleys are immune to pain because he gives them medication, then hits them both in the back with a belt to prove his point. He also threatens to hit the fans with a strap if they get in the way.



We hear from Mike Anthony, who says he is starting off 2022 by beating "The GunShow" Brett Michaels in a street fight and a final showdown at Grind City Rumble where nobody can save Michaels. Anthony tells Michaels to bring his best, as we will bring the gift that keeps on giving in the form of brass knuckles. We hear from "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, who says that he hopes Mike Anthony is read, because he is ready, then says that Mike Anthony will have to earn the Memphis Heritage Championship and that he is coming to get him.



We see footage from the Memphis Wrestling 2021 Awards Banquet at the WrestleCenter.



We see a video package for K-Toomer.



"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane wishes the fans a merry Christmas and a happy new year, then says that being Memphis Women's Champion was special to her and how Heather beat her for it will be addressed. She says that right now, family comes first, and that Austin Lane will soon get better.

We look back on the Grind City Rumble.

We look back on the first Gauntlet For The Gold.



Before the next match, Heather Monroe says she will be giving other women opportunities to dethrone her in her Gauntlet For The Gold, and that therefore, she will be going last, not first. She also guests on commentary for the next match.



Heather Monroe retains the Memphis Women's Championship against Diana Taylor, Skyler, and "The Mad Esthetician" Amber Rodriguez in Heather Monroe's Gauntlet For The Gold. During the match, after Skyler shows up for the match, Amber Rodriguez says she has been trying to call her, then cries and says she is sorry and that she will lay down for her. She lays down, but when Skyler goes for the pin, Amber pins her with an inside cradle. She lays down, but when Skyler goes for the pin, Amber eliminates her with an inside cradle. Afterwards, Skyler attacks Amber from behind, rips out one of her eyelashes, and pulls one of Amber's fingernails before kicking her in the face. Heather Monroe then gets in the ring and pins Amber Rodriguez in the most casual manner possible, but Amber kicks out at two. It is not long before Heather hits Amber with a DDT to win and retain.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for November 13, 2021

We hear from Derrick King, DJ Brown, Danny B. Good and Mike Anthony. Danny B. Good says he is proud of everyone, and Mike Anthony makes it very clear that he wants Brett Michaels and the Memphis Heritage Championship, calling the Trios Tournament icing on the cake.



Country Rock (Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes) beat Van Vicious and "Casanova" Colton Cage by disqualification after Ryan Pyles jumps in the ring and gets physically involved.



Dusin Starr interviews "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane and Matt. Nikki says that Austin Lane is in recovery from surgery last week and is doing well, and while challengers are coming in from all directions, the Memphis Women's Championship is always going to be her belt. Heather Monroe shows up and says she is the direction Nikki should be looking, as the last time she beat her was a fluke. Rebel Kel shows up and says she has proven herself time and again and says she should be part of the title discussion. Nikki Lane then proposes a three-way match for the Memphis Women's Championship next week.



We hear from The GunGOATs ("The GunShow" Brett Michaels, Zay Washington, Aaron Roberts). As Washington and Roberts say that they have beaten their Trios Tournament competition in the past, Brett Michaels tells Mike Anthony to be careful what he wishes for.



K-Toomer beats Kid Wrestling by referee stoppage with one kick.



We hear from Ivan Warsaw, who warns The Revenant of Walker Hayes that no weapon shall prosper against him.

Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Horror Show (Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes). Jacksyn Crowley says that they will win the Trios Tag Team Tournament, but is told they have been eliminated when their match from last week did not even start. Jacksyn asks where The Boogeyman is, and tells Dustin that The Hollywood Horror Show is "The Boogeymen."



Backstage, we hear from The Skimahorns (Brad Skimahorn, Briar Skimahorn, Uncle Mikey). Uncle Mikey says he is scared of nobody, and that Brad and Briar should not be scared, either.

Skyler beats Shalonce Royal with a roll-up after putting her feet on the ropes for leverage. After the match, Skyler declines an interview. Shalonce Royal tries to get a word in edgewise, saying Skyler cheated to win.



Big Jack quickly beats Rashad Lee with one Death Valley Driver. After the match, Big Jack helps Rashad Lee up.



We hear from The Posse (Simon and Lil' Chris) and "Big Swole" Justin Cole. They look forward to facing The GunGOATs ("The GunShow" Brett Michaels, Zay Washington, Aaron Roberts) in the finals, and Justin Cole says that his Breast Cancer Awareness Month challenge was a dress rehearsal for the Trios Tournament.



The Skimahorns (Brad Skimahorn, Briar Skimahorn, Uncle Mikey) beat The Hollywood Horror Show (Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes).

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for October 30, 2021

Gentleman Jervis guests on commentary for the next match.

The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris, dressed as Luigi and Mario, respectively) beats The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn, dressed as poop and toilet paper, respectively) in a Halloween Costume Lumberjack Match after Gentleman Jervis rocks a lumberjack in a Spider-Man costume to sleep, The Skimahorns wake "Spider-Man" up, and The Posse - now dressed up like Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick in capes - hit The Skimahorns in the back with bags full of candy.



We see some backstage footage from the Halloween Spooktacular.



We hear from Van Viciouss, who says that "Big Swole" will not slam him once before he wins his match and goes on a night on the town with the hottest woman in Memphis.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Van Viciouss, slamming Van Viciouss four times for $100, bringing the grand donation total for Breast Cancer Awareness Month to $400.





Diana Taylor and Austin Lane guest on commentary for the next match.

"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane and Sarah Wolfe beats Amber Rodriguez and Skyler after Amber leaves Skyler high and dry. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Austin Lane at the announce desk. Austin Lane says the fun and games are over when K-Toomer put his hands on Nikki, saying K-Toomer woke something up in him. He says he will prove why he is the best of the best and tells K-Toomer that he is going to hurt him.



We hear from Mike Anthony, who says that security stopping him from coming to work will not stop him, because he will come back and Hell will be coming with him. We then see Mike Anthony's mugshot. Afterwards, we hear from Brett Michaels, who says that if Mike Anthony wants to beat people up around the arena, then he will be there next week and he will not be hard to find.

We see some footage of the audience from The Halloween Spooktacular.



Country Rock (Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes) beat Colton Cage and Ryan Pyles, who are now calling themselves "The Elements of Wrestling."



Ivan Warsaw beats The Revenant of Walker Hayes in a Halloween Hardcore Match with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb into a pile of thumbtacks.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for October 16, 2021

We see footage of "The GunShow" Brett Michaels celebrating with the fans after last week's Memphis Heritage Championship victory.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Tyler Knight. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Brett Michaels, who says there is a new man in the house and that he was the man to begin with, and to get ready for "the era of The GunShow."



We hear from Diana Taylor. She says Skylar tried to take her knee out last week, but she has something for her: a DDT.

Sarah Wolfe beats Gemma Jewels.



We see another vignette for Warsaw.

Dustin Starr interviews Shane Russell, the son of late legendary Memphis Wrestling announcer Lance Russell. Before the interview can get anywhere, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock shows up. Blaylock makes fun of Shane's "banana nose," and Shane says he would not have come here in one of his father's jackets if he knew Blaylock would show up, and says that Lance said that Blaylock is like a snake in the grass who was not to be trusted. Blaylock says Lance was biased and that he did nothing but insult him, then tears up a picture of Lance in front of Shane, who then grabs Blaylock by the shirt collar only to be attacked from behind by The Revenant of Walker Hayes. Hayes and Blaylock then pull off and violate the jacket before Hayes attacks Shane Russell some more. Security and referees have to pull Hayes off of Shane Russell and force him and Blaylock to the back.



"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Martin after Jay Smooth and Kross grab Martin's foot, not knowing it is Martin, allowing Justin Cole to hit the Swole Slam for the win. With this and two body slams earlier in the match, that is $75 donated to the fight against cancer.



We hear from Mike Anthony, who says he has been overlooked time after time after time. He says that last time he sent a warning, and now, he is done talking, and next week, it is time to be about that action.



Dustin Starr interviews Austin Lane at the announce table. Austin Lane, whose arm is still in a sling, says he wants K-Toomer in the ring and promises it will not be long before he is medically cleared and K-Toomer is his. Suddenly, K-Toomer shows up, and Austin Lane fights him. K-Toomer gets Austin Lane in the ring and hits him with a big splash, hurting his arm. "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane fights K-Toomer and gets taken out, then someone shows up with a chair. This is Austin and Nikki's friend from Arkansas, Matt, and the chair has no effect when he hits K-Toomer with it. K-Toomer grabs Matt and hits him with the Big Bang.



We see Gentleman Jervis at Tops Bar-B-Q. As he is about to have his meal, he suddenly realizes he does not have a mouth.



Amber Rodriguez guests on commentary for the next match.

Skyler beats Diana Taylor following the distraction from Amber Rodriguez.



We hear from multiple tag teams about the upcoming Tag Team Turmoil Match to decide #1 contenders for the Memphis Tag Team Championships. As we do, Danny B. Good - who has gotten Derrick King fired up over the last few weeks - gets Derrick King to team up with him one more time.



The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) guest on commentary for the next match.

The team of Derrick King and Danny B. Good beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn), the team of "Casanova" Colton Cage and Ryan Pyles and Country Rock (Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes) in a Tag Team Turmoil Match to become #1 contenders for the Memphis Tag Team Championships.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for September 11, 2021

Action Jackson beats Jay Smooth in his first appearance in weeks after Martin's interference attempt backfires due to Martin not knowing what to do with it. After the match, interim General Manager U-Gene shows his appreciation for Action Jackson before stating that he is excited about the Memphis Heritage Championship, saying that Alan Steel will have to defend the title against "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and Mike Anthony next week.



Diana Taylor and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beat Skyler and Amber Rodriguez. After the match, Skyler hits Diana with a chop block and attacks Diana while Amber holds Nikki back in the corner.



Backstage, Van Viciouss meets by BB Ryann and asks if she has seen Miss Beronica before hitting on Ryann.

Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) at the announce desk. Marko Stunt is in a burlap sack carried by The Revenant of Walker Hayes. Jimmy Blaylock says that Marko Stunt volunteered to be here today and that The Hollywood Horror Show is looking for new members. After threatening to hit Dustin Starr, he says that they have "The Revenant of Marko Stunt" and that today is a great day. Suddenly, The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) show up and demand that they let Marko Stunt go and let him come to them, but Blaylock says this is none of their business. Suddenly, Marko Stunt gets out of the burlap stack and fights alongside The Posse against The Hollywood Horror Show. Security and referees have to break up the brawl, which gets pretty close to the announce desk. Dustin Starr then interviews Marko Stunt, who challenges The Hollywood Horror Show to a six-man tag match against himself and The Posse next week.



In footage from earlier today, Austin Lane says that K-Toomer is about injuring people and not being the best of the best. He says he is about protecting the business and Memphis wrestling, and after taking challenge after challenge, he challenges K-Toomer next week.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Danny B. Good meets with Derrick King and proposes that the two of them become a tag team now that Derrick King has a fire back within him. Derrick King is not exactly thrilled about the idea.

Danny B. Good guests on commentary for the next match.

Derrick King beats Carlos Alexander Rios with a superkick after Danny B. Good talks Derrick King out of hitting Rios with the temporarily banned piledriver.



Backstage, U-Gene meets with "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane when Johnny Dotson confronts U-Gene for putting him in a match last week. U-Gene considers putting himself in a match against Dotson when he pulls the action figure out of his hand and throws it down on the ground.

We see another video of Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes, and this time, Hayes fist bumps Matthews. We then see the words "Country Rock."

The Allied Empire (Meklakov and Ken Dang) beat The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) by disqualification after Zay Washington inadvertently hits the ref and The Yung GOATs attack The Allied Empire with Kendo sticks.

Dustin Starr interviews Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson at the announce desk. Steel is furious he in a three-way title match and says that he will not be disrespected. As Steel says that U-Gene needs to go back where he comes from, Mike Anthony shows up wanting to fight Alan Steel. Brett Michaels then shows up and throws Steel into the ring while Mike Anthony brawls with Johnny Dotson. Mike Anthony and Brett Michaels stand tall in the ring as the show ends, but both men stare each other down in the center of the ring as the show ends.
