Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for October 16, 2021

We see footage of "The GunShow" Brett Michaels celebrating with the fans after last week's Memphis Heritage Championship victory.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Tyler Knight. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Brett Michaels, who says there is a new man in the house and that he was the man to begin with, and to get ready for "the era of The GunShow."

We hear from Diana Taylor. She says Skylar tried to take her knee out last week, but she has something for her: a DDT.

Sarah Wolfe beats Gemma Jewels.

We see another vignette for Warsaw.

Dustin Starr interviews Shane Russell, the son of late legendary Memphis Wrestling announcer Lance Russell. Before the interview can get anywhere, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock shows up. Blaylock makes fun of Shane's "banana nose," and Shane says he would not have come here in one of his father's jackets if he knew Blaylock would show up, and says that Lance said that Blaylock is like a snake in the grass who was not to be trusted. Blaylock says Lance was biased and that he did nothing but insult him, then tears up a picture of Lance in front of Shane, who then grabs Blaylock by the shirt collar only to be attacked from behind by The Revenant of Walker Hayes. Hayes and Blaylock then pull off and violate the jacket before Hayes attacks Shane Russell some more. Security and referees have to pull Hayes off of Shane Russell and force him and Blaylock to the back.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Martin after Jay Smooth and Kross grab Martin's foot, not knowing it is Martin, allowing Justin Cole to hit the Swole Slam for the win. With this and two body slams earlier in the match, that is $75 donated to the fight against cancer.

We hear from Mike Anthony, who says he has been overlooked time after time after time. He says that last time he sent a warning, and now, he is done talking, and next week, it is time to be about that action.

Dustin Starr interviews Austin Lane at the announce table. Austin Lane, whose arm is still in a sling, says he wants K-Toomer in the ring and promises it will not be long before he is medically cleared and K-Toomer is his. Suddenly, K-Toomer shows up, and Austin Lane fights him. K-Toomer gets Austin Lane in the ring and hits him with a big splash, hurting his arm. "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane fights K-Toomer and gets taken out, then someone shows up with a chair. This is Austin and Nikki's friend from Arkansas, Matt, and the chair has no effect when he hits K-Toomer with it. K-Toomer grabs Matt and hits him with the Big Bang.

We see Gentleman Jervis at Tops Bar-B-Q. As he is about to have his meal, he suddenly realizes he does not have a mouth.

Amber Rodriguez guests on commentary for the next match.

Skyler beats Diana Taylor following the distraction from Amber Rodriguez.

We hear from multiple tag teams about the upcoming Tag Team Turmoil Match to decide #1 contenders for the Memphis Tag Team Championships. As we do, Danny B. Good - who has gotten Derrick King fired up over the last few weeks - gets Derrick King to team up with him one more time.

The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) guest on commentary for the next match.

The team of Derrick King and Danny B. Good beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn), the team of "Casanova" Colton Cage and Ryan Pyles and Country Rock (Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes) in a Tag Team Turmoil Match to become #1 contenders for the Memphis Tag Team Championships.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for September 4, 2021

In memory of Blazing Star, 1966 - 2021.

We see never-before-seen footage of Tiger Joe being taken to the hospital at the end of last week's show.

BB Ryann beats Rebel Kel (although one of Rebel Kel's shoulders seemed to be up). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Rebel Kel, who says she had to come back to Memphis after all the hospitality she has been given. She also admits that the women's division is talented and competitive, simply saying the division is "Wow."

Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes). Jimmy Blaylock says that The Hollywood Horror Show gave Simon "a Hollywood make-over" and apologizes for not being there to control The Hollywood Horror Show. Suddenly, Marko Stunt shows up. Marko Stunt says that something is not sitting well with him, and that the Walker Hayes he sees is not the Walker Hayes he knows. Blaylock denies Walker Hayes knew him, but Marko shows concern for Hayes and tells him to snap out of it. He then slaps Walker Hayes for not looking or listening to him, then Blaylock sneaks up behind Marko Stunt and covers his nose and mouth with an ether-covered cloth. The Hollywood Horror Show then carry Marko Stunt off.

In footage from earlier this week, Dustin Starr interviews Derrick King. Derrick says Tiger Joe deserved to be piledriven for coming into the ring and making a zoo out of it, and that Tiger Joe will never be coming back after he got rid of him. He also says that Tiger Joe came to his neck of the woods to pick a fight with him and got what he deserved. It is then announced that the piledriver has been banned from Memphis Wrestling as a result, which Derrick King disagrees with. Derrick King says that he is the king of Memphis Wrestling and that he does what he wants when he wants.

The Yung GOATs (Zay Washington and Aaron Roberts) beat Martin and Jay Smooth. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The Yung GOATs. Aaron Roberts says it is good to be back, but they would have been back earlier if it weren't for The Allied Empire, and says that if they wanted a match, they should have just met them with the challenge.

We hear from Nikki Lane, who says that she has proved she is the best and that anyone who watches any of her matches will be impressed.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Tyler Knight.

We see Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes outside of the arena.

At the merchandise table, Van Viciouss buys all the 8x10s of Miss Beronica.

Nikki Lane beats Amber Rodriguez with a schoolkid pin. During the match, the mysterious woman - now identified as Skyler - shows up and watches the match, as does Diana Taylor. After the match, Skyler and Diana Taylor get in the ring. Diana stands with Nikki, while Skyler stands with Amber Rodriguez.

Backstage, Austin Lane confronts K-Toomer backstage. Both men have to be immediately held back.

Dustin Starr interviews U-Gene at the announce table. He announces that he will be the Interim General Manager for the next few weeks, and says he wants to put on the best Memphis Heritage Championship match ever. Suddenly, Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson shows up and says the last time a general manager put him in a title match, he still walked out the champ. As Stell says U-Gene cannot make matches willy-nilly, Mike Anthony shows up. After U-Gene shakes his hand, Mike Anthony says he couldn't help but hear the Memphis Heritage Championship be brought up and that a title conversation cannot happen without him. Suddenly, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels shows up and gets in the ring. U-Gene makes a tag team match between the team of Steel and Dotson and the team of Brett Michaels and Mike Anthony, then guests on commentary.

Mike Anthony and "The GunShow" Brett Michaels beat Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson. After the match, Brett Michaels and Mike Anthony have a staredown in the middle of the ring over the Memphis Heritage Championship.
