Bicentennial Bash at the 2023 Dyer County Fair - The Results

Note: the matches are in order of YouTube upload and are not indicative of the order in which the matches took place.

Tim Bosby beats "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane by disqualified after "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane hits Bosby with a low blow in full view of the referee. "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship. After the match, Nikki Lane holds the Internet Championship against Bosby's back so that Austin Lane can smack it into Bosby's back with a clothesline from behind. Mackenzie Morgan then shows up, and Austin and Nkkki Lane both retreat, and Mackenzie makes it clear that she is tired of Austin and Nikki bullying Bosby and wants a mixed tag match. The match becomes official, much to Austin and Nikki's chagrin.

Tim Bosby and Mackenzie Morgan quickly beat "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane in a mixed tag match.



Before the next match, "Delicious" Van Viciouss wants Dustin Starr to tell the fans how big of a star he is and demands not only a proper introduction, but respect from the fans before heading back to the back.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against "Delicious" Van Viciouss after ducking a punch with a gold chain wrapped around it and hitting the GunShow Lariat after putting the gold chain in his trunks so Van Viciouss cannot use it again.



In the main event, K-Toomer, Mike Anthony and King Cobra beat The Roberts Family Legacy ("The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts, Cordale Roberts, Big Red) in a grudge match after Big Red inadvertently knocks Justin Case out with a closed fist with a chain wrapped around it before King Cobra hits Big Red with a pipe.



Reverend Ash Taylor suddenly shows up with his collection plate and says he should be on every single show that Memphis Wrestling has and that everyone should hear what he has to say. The fans beg to differ, but Reverend Ash Taylor says he does not care what the fans think. He then says that for 200 years, Dyer County, Mississippi has been "nothing but a cesspool," and he got here after being led by a whistling sound from the collective gaps of the teeth of the people of Dyer County. Reverend Ash Taylor says that he deserves a match and that he will have one, and when Dustin Starr tells him he does not have an opponent tonight, he entertains fighting someone in the crowd at first before entertaining fighting Dustin Starr, as "It would be short work, anyway." Dustin says that as much as he would like to punch him in the face, he is here to host, not fight. Reverend Ash Taylor then calls this a bunch of excuses and says that if Dustin will not fight him, he will fight referee David Knight, who is already in the ring, as nobody seems to be brave enough to fight him. He also says that he will have this fight whether Dustin wants him to or not. Dustin lets the match go ahead, and after Reverend Ash Taylor takes off his robe, David Knight hits Reverend Ash Taylor with the Stunner as soon as he turns around and gets the pinfall victory.



Ray Ray Sanders and Derrick King retain the Memphis Wrestlng Tag Team Championship against Ellsworth Enterprises (Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston) after Matt Williams inadvertently hits Gaston and Ray Ray Sanders hits the splash off a stack of hay bales.



Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's championship against "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx after ducking a belt shot from Nyxx and pinning her with a schoolkid pin.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for October 9, 2021

Pete Pranica guests on commentary this week.

Jordan Cruz retains the Hollywood Heritage Championship against Johnny Dotson with a Tornado DDT after whipping Dotson into Alan Steel, knocking Steel off the apron.



Dustin Starr interviews Austin Lane - who is now wearing an arm sling - at the announce desk. Austin says it is good to be back, and while it kills him not to be on today's show, he promises to tear K. Toomer in half, saying that everyone wants to be lions until it is time to do what lions do and that K. Toomer is his.

The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) retain the Memphis Tag Team Championships against The Skimahorns (Brad and Brian Skimahorn).



Backstage, Clay Travis tells Carter Matthews that he is tired of sitting on the sidelines and that it is time to get in the fight as he tosses him a roll of black wrist tape.

Dustin Starr interviews "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane and Rebel Kel at the announce table. Before Rebel Kel can make a big announcement, Amber Rodriguez and Skylar show up, and Amber says nobody cares about her announcement, saying that people want to see Kel's face get rearranged. She also asks Nikki Lane where Kamille is, saying she wants to rearrange her face, too. Kamille shows up, and the next match starts before the announcement can be made.



Kamille and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beat Amber Rodriguez and Skylar.



Dustin Starr introduces King Cobra as the special guest referee for the next match.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Alan Steel to become the Memphis Heritage Champion after special guest referee King Cobra knocks out Johnny Dotson when Dotson tries to interfere in the match.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for September 25, 2021

Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson are seen on their own announce table as "The Steel & Johnny Show" directly across from Dustin and Maria Starr's at the start of the show.

Uncle Mikey guests on commentary for the next match.

The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) beat Country Rock (Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes) after Brad distracts the ref and Uncle Mikey hits Chris Hayes with a cheap shot from ringside.



We hear from Mike Anthony, who says that he is next to become the Memphis Heritage Championship after being #1 contender, but Brett Michaels is in front of him. He says this had better be fixed, for it he has to fix it, bodies will hit the floor.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels heads to the announce table, where Alan Steel takes over on interviewing duties. Steel asks Michaels how may tears Brett shed when he crushed the Cobra Cup, then says the Memphis Heritage Championship belongs to him, not Brett. Steel then asks Brett how much of a chance he thinks he would have if he had another shot at the Memphis Heritage Championship, then says that chance is zero. Dustin Starr then announces that in two weeks, there will be another Championship Saturday. On that day, Steel will defend the Memphis Heritage Championship against Brett Michaels, and a brawl almost ensues.



K-Toomer beats Carlos Alexander Rios.



Backstage, Van Viciouss meets with Rebel Kel and hits on her only to get slapped.



"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Van Viciouss. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Justin Cole. It is announced that $25 gets donated to fight cancer when Cole slams someone. Cole says that after a hypothetical $100 from this week, he will go for $200 next week.





We see Big Jack working out in the gym in a mission to "rebuild and reclaim."



We hear from "Casanova" Colton Cage and Ryan Pyles. Pyles says that while Danny B. Good is good for his time, they are the best right now and they have more money than anyone else, and soon, Danny B. Good will be "Danny B. Gone."



Derrick King guests on commentary for the next match.

Danny B. Good beats "Casanova" Colton Cage after Ryan Pyles grabs Danny B. Good from behind at the ring apron only to be punched off the ring apron inadvertently by Colton Cage. After the match, Derrick King gets in the ring and punches Colton Cage.



Dustin Starr interviews Jordan Cruz at the announce table. Jordan Cruz says he is enjoying himself in Memphis, Tennessee, then announces that he came here to be a fighting champion and will defend the Hollywood Heritage Championship in two weeks, then says he is ready to fight right now. Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson shows up, and Steel says he wants the title as there is only one Heritage Championship. He then says Dotson is looking for some gold, and Dotson challenges Cruz to a title match before attacking him alongside Alan Steel. "The GunShow" Brett Michaels runs into the ring and stops Steel and Dotson from getting into the ring, and Steel says he and Dotson will do this on their own time.



Dustin Starr is about to interview NWA Women's World Champion Kamille in the ring when "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane shows up. Both of them have a staredown in the middle of the ring while holding up their respective championships, then Amber Rodriguez and Skyler show up. Amber tells Nikki Lane that she never "finished her consultation," and that she is willing to offer her "aesthetic services" to her and re-arrange her face.

Kamille guests on commentary for the next match.

"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beats Amber Rodriguez - now wearing purple hospital scrubs and calling herself "The Mad Esthetician" - by disqualificaton after Amber refuses to let go of an illegal hold at the instruction of the referee. After the match, Skyler takes the boots to Nikki Lane, then Kamille gets in the ring and beats Amber and Skylar up before checking on Nikki Lane.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for September 4, 2021

In memory of Blazing Star, 1966 - 2021.

We see never-before-seen footage of Tiger Joe being taken to the hospital at the end of last week's show.



BB Ryann beats Rebel Kel (although one of Rebel Kel's shoulders seemed to be up). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Rebel Kel, who says she had to come back to Memphis after all the hospitality she has been given. She also admits that the women's division is talented and competitive, simply saying the division is "Wow."



Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes). Jimmy Blaylock says that The Hollywood Horror Show gave Simon "a Hollywood make-over" and apologizes for not being there to control The Hollywood Horror Show. Suddenly, Marko Stunt shows up. Marko Stunt says that something is not sitting well with him, and that the Walker Hayes he sees is not the Walker Hayes he knows. Blaylock denies Walker Hayes knew him, but Marko shows concern for Hayes and tells him to snap out of it. He then slaps Walker Hayes for not looking or listening to him, then Blaylock sneaks up behind Marko Stunt and covers his nose and mouth with an ether-covered cloth. The Hollywood Horror Show then carry Marko Stunt off.



In footage from earlier this week, Dustin Starr interviews Derrick King. Derrick says Tiger Joe deserved to be piledriven for coming into the ring and making a zoo out of it, and that Tiger Joe will never be coming back after he got rid of him. He also says that Tiger Joe came to his neck of the woods to pick a fight with him and got what he deserved. It is then announced that the piledriver has been banned from Memphis Wrestling as a result, which Derrick King disagrees with. Derrick King says that he is the king of Memphis Wrestling and that he does what he wants when he wants.



The Yung GOATs (Zay Washington and Aaron Roberts) beat Martin and Jay Smooth. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The Yung GOATs. Aaron Roberts says it is good to be back, but they would have been back earlier if it weren't for The Allied Empire, and says that if they wanted a match, they should have just met them with the challenge.



We hear from Nikki Lane, who says that she has proved she is the best and that anyone who watches any of her matches will be impressed.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Tyler Knight.



We see Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes outside of the arena.



At the merchandise table, Van Viciouss buys all the 8x10s of Miss Beronica.



Nikki Lane beats Amber Rodriguez with a schoolkid pin. During the match, the mysterious woman - now identified as Skyler - shows up and watches the match, as does Diana Taylor. After the match, Skyler and Diana Taylor get in the ring. Diana stands with Nikki, while Skyler stands with Amber Rodriguez.



Backstage, Austin Lane confronts K-Toomer backstage. Both men have to be immediately held back.



Dustin Starr interviews U-Gene at the announce table. He announces that he will be the Interim General Manager for the next few weeks, and says he wants to put on the best Memphis Heritage Championship match ever. Suddenly, Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson shows up and says the last time a general manager put him in a title match, he still walked out the champ. As Stell says U-Gene cannot make matches willy-nilly, Mike Anthony shows up. After U-Gene shakes his hand, Mike Anthony says he couldn't help but hear the Memphis Heritage Championship be brought up and that a title conversation cannot happen without him. Suddenly, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels shows up and gets in the ring. U-Gene makes a tag team match between the team of Steel and Dotson and the team of Brett Michaels and Mike Anthony, then guests on commentary.



Mike Anthony and "The GunShow" Brett Michaels beat Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson. After the match, Brett Michaels and Mike Anthony have a staredown in the middle of the ring over the Memphis Heritage Championship.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for August 21, 2021

The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) beat "Big Swole" Justin Cole and Mike Anthony after Mike Anthony inadvertently hits Justin Cole with a running drop kick to the face. After the match, Mike Anthony tells both Dustin Starr and Justin Cole they are not a team, and that he simply made a statement last time. He says that he is sick of this situation and sick of Justin Cole. After Justin Cole says he has always been paired together with Mike Anthony in matches since day one, Dustin Starr annoiunces that both men will face each other in a Memphis Heritage Championship #1 contender's match. When it comes time to shake hands, Justin tells Mike to pack a lunch, then Mike says he accepts the match before telling Justin to be ready to accept "the ass-whippin' of a lifetime."



Austin Lane heads to the announce table, and states that he wants to know what happened to Connor as King Cobra arrives. After King Cobra says that he wants to see what happened to Connor - as well as a commercial break - we see security camera footage. In the footage, we see that Connor has been laid out by K-Toomer backstage. Afterwards, Austin Lane is attacked from behind by K-Toomer. King Cobra gets between K-Toomer and Lane, and K-Toomer backs off. Austin Lane has to be helped to the back.



Dustin Steel interviews Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson at the announce table. Alan Steel says people say he sucks because they think him holding the Memphis Heritage Championship is unfair, then says there is nothing anybody can do about it and that the fans should be grateful to be in their presence. Lil Chris suddenly shows up in the ring, and Johnny Dotson says he will beat Lil Chris "to death." Steel and Dotson get in the ring and corner Lil Chris, but Steel is attacked from behind by Simon, and Lil Chris hits Dotson with his skateboard. Lil Chris tosses Dotson out of the ring, then Steel gets a skateboard to the gut before Dotson pulls Steel out of the ring. After Steel and Dotson say this is not over before heading to the back, Dustin Steel interviews Chris and Simon, and Simon says that it has been seven years since they put their skateboard on the shelf and stopped busting other people's skulls. He says that he and Simon have put smiles on people's faces, and they had done it with everybody one but one. Simon says he does not want to do this, but next week, he will bust Steel's head, break his face and head to Beale Street with the fans, Dustin Starr and the Memphis Heritage Championship.



The Revenant of Walker Hayes quickly beats Carter Matthews (who asked for this rematch) while The Crowleys (Jacksyn and Otis Crowley) creep Dustin and Maria Starr out at the announce table.



Backstage, Van Viciouss meets with Miss Beronica and invites her to check him out in his match, which is up next.

"The INKredible" Darius Lee beats Van Viciouss. During the match, Miss Beronica shows up to watch the match. Near the end of the match, Van Viciouss goes up top, but takes too long while talking to Miss Beronica and gets knocked off by Darius Lee, who hits a monster frog splash for the win. After the match, Viciouss attacks Darius Lee, but Miss Beronica gets in the ring and tells him to stop. Aside from one last cheap stomp, Viciouss stops and follows Miss Beronica to the back.



Outside of the arena, The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) are attacked with Kendo stick from behind by The Allied Empire (Meklakov and Ken Dang), and Meklakov states that The Allied Empire will become the next tag team champions.



We hear from Jay Smooth and Kross, who still cannot believe the strength of Lance Archer and reveal that Precious got knocked out so hard by Archer that he forgot his own name. Kross then says he has some ideas on how to take advantage of this as he and Smooth laugh.



Dustin Starr interviews "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane at the announce table. She admits that Diana Taylor is her favorite wrestler and is happy to have her as an opponent as she knows she will fight fair, but says that she will retain the Memphis Women's Championship.



Diana Taylor vs. "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane for the Memphis Women's Championship ends when the women with the black hair from last week - now identified as Emily Syler - attacks both competitors. "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane retains the Memphis Women's Championship. Emily Syler lays out Diana Taylor, then flees after ducking a clothesline from Nikki Lane.



Dustin Starr interviews Joe Exotic - now known as just "Joe" - at the announce table. He says that he has combed the town and admits the people are pretty nice, then says he has not found another king and doesn't know if Derrick King is "worth a damn" and said he could have knocked him out last week if given the chance. After Dustin states that he wants no physicality this week, Derrick King arrives and says nobody puts a hand on him or tells him what to do, especially Joe, and if Joe wants to wrestle somebody, he can wrestle him. Joe says it was "just a slap," then says they can wrestle if they can find "one of those hotel rooms" before saying he had no idea people took wrestling seriously. King says it has been life for the last 25 years and asks Joe what he is thinking making a mockery of wrestling. After King pokes Joe in the chest, Joe shoves him, and King says they can wrestle right now. Joe says his leg hurts at first, then says he "is no Carole Baskin" and will accept Derrick King's challenge.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for August 7, 2021

Jay Smooth vs. Precious ends with Lance Archer suddenly showing up and decimating both men. Afterwards, Lance Archer corners Dustin Starr and says that everybody dies and that he is not done.



Austin Lane heads to the announce desk. It is mentioned that Connor's whereabouts are still unknown, and Austin Lane nobody, including himself, has not heard from him either. He then says there will be another Best Of The Best Challenge right now. The challenge is answered by Uncle Mikey, and The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) guest on commentary for the match.

Austin Lane beats Uncle Mikey in a Best of the Best Challenge Match despite the distractions from Briar Skimahorn.



Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson head to the announce table. Steel says he has slept well all this week after breaking simon's arm, and says that when you mess with "the living legends of Memphis wrestling," you become a memory. Dotson brags about breaking Lil Chris' arm and keeping him from doing things, but when he messes with some fans, he gets hit with a steel chair to the back by Lil' Chris, who then brawls with Steel in the ring despite a broken arm. Steel soon sends Lil' Chris broken arm-first into a ring post, but Lil' Chris fights back with a chair shot to Steel's back.



We hear from Cece Chanel, who says that Heather Monroe has been chasing championship gold for a long time and admits that Heather is good, and says that while Nikki Lane is a rising star, she is a tough opponent. She says that she has been working hard too, and that she will be coming for the Memphis Women's Championship, too.



We hear from Diana Taylor, who says that she cannot wait to hit Paris Kelly with a DDT tonight at Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night.



Before the next match, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock gets angry with "The GunShow" Brett Michael for injuring The Revenant of Walker Hayes' face. He then removes the cover from Walker Hayes' face to reveal that Hayes is wearing a mask before directing him to the ring.

The Revenant of Walker Hayes decimates Carter Matthews after The Crowleys (Jacksyn and Otis Crowley) force Matthews into the ring when Matthews tries to get out of the match. Jacksyn is noted to have two different colored eyes.



"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane retains the Memphis Women's Championship against Heather Monroe. During the match, Lil Bit shows up and hits Nikki Lane with Heather's fan, but Nikki kicks out.



Before the next match, Lance Archer says that he would come back and that he wants to see what Championship Wrestling From Memphis has. Uncle Mikey and The Skimahorns head to the ring and surround it. Lance Archer takes them all down one by one with a couple of clotheslines, and the three of them regroup before going for an all-out assault on Archer, which has virtually no effect. Archer goes for a choke slam on Mikey, and while Brad and Briar hit him with stereo chop blocks, even this has no effect. Mikey goes for a suplex only for Archer to chuck him from one corner to the other. Archer then choke slams Briar onto Brad, then hits Mikey with a nasty chop. He gets him up top, chops him again, then hits Mikey with the Blackout in the middle of the ring. Suddenly, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels gets in the ring with Archer. Archer goes for a choke slam, but Brett escapes it and hits the GunShow Lariat. Security and referees have to stop an angry Archer from getting back in the ring.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for July 17, 2021

We see The Skimahorns (Brad Skimahorn, Briar Skimahorn, Uncle Mikey) relaxing like champions at a local park. Uncle Mikey says that next week, The Skimahorns will prove that they can wrestle like champions.



"The Gun Show" Brett Michaels beats The Revenant of Walker Hayes.



The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) beat The Crowleys (Jacksyn and Otis Crowley) to become #1 contenders for the Memphis Tag Team Championships.



Dustin "Five" Starr interviews King Cobra and Connor at the announce table. King Cobra says that he has been working with Connor, who has "the heart of a lion and the smarts of a fox," and says that things will be different against a bigger man. After Connor says that he looks forward to taking on Austin Lane, Austin Lane shows up. King Cobra says next time will be a different ouctome, and Connor says he is here to take on the best. Austin Lane asks King Cobra if Connor - who he admits has not been here long - is ready. King Cobra says he is ready, and so does Connor. Austin Lane says that if King Cobra says Connor is ready, he will give him another shot. Austin Lane says that while he respects King Cobra, the ring is his house, and he tells Connor to lace up next week, because he is prepared to hurt him.



Before the next match, Alan Steel - who now has the Memphis Heritage Championship back in his possession - finds out that Johnny Dotson has been barred from the building and becomes livid. As Alan Steel says that the deck has been stacked against him and Dotson since day one, Action Jackson shows up. Action Jackson says Alan Steel doesn't have Dotson to help him cheat, and when Steel says this is his only shot, Jackson says he will take advantage of it. Action Jackson says Alan Steel doesn't have Dotson to help him cheat, and when Steel says this is his only shot, Jackson says he will take advantage of it. Jackson then hits Alan Steel in the face and briefly beats him up before getting him in the ring to start the match.

Alan Steel retains the Memphis Heritage Championship against Action Jackson after nearly whipping Action Jackson into the referee, allowing Steel to hit a low blow as the referee is still looking back hoping not to get hurt.



We see a video package about the Gauntlet For The Gold for the Memphis Women's Championship.



"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beats Queen Katelynn, Claudia Solis, Lil Bit, Paris Kelly, Diana Taylor and Rebel Kel to win the Gauntlet For The Gold and become the inaugural Memphis Women's Champion! During the match, Eric McMahon enters the ring and produces a restraining order that keeps Diana Taylor from being anywhere near him or Paris Kelly. Diana Taylor hits Eric McMahon with a DDT, and Eric McMahon and Paris Kelly head to the back, eliminating Paris Kelly from the gauntlet match by count-out. After the match, Rebel Kel, Diana Taylor and Claudia Solis clap for Nikki Lane at ringside.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for July 3, 2021

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Van Viciouss. After the match, Brett Michaels says he is back and he is not going anywhere, and after what The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) pulled on him, he has put a target on all of them and that he will take them out regardless of how many of them he has to take out at once.





Austin Lane heads to the announce table. He says that the Best of the Best Challenge has brought the best and toughest challengers, then says that he has proven that he is the best of the best every time before declaring the challenge again. The challenge is answered by Connor.

Austin Lane beats Connor in a Best of the Best Challenge. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Connor, who says that Austin Lane is the best of the best for a reason and that he wants to compete with the best of the best. Suddenly, King Cobra shows up and shakes Connor's hand. King Cobra says that Connor is doing a good job, but needs a little more polish and says that he could be a big star one day. King Cobra then offers to take Connor under his wing, and Connor accepts.





It is announced that the first Memphis Women's Champion will be crowned in two weeks.

Eric McMahon and Paris Kelly head to the announce table. Eric says he and Paris Kelly have taken out Diana Taylor, and that they are now focused on the Memphis Women's Championship. When asked if she is ready to get back in the ring for the first time since her injury, Paris Kelly says "Yes...and that's all I've got to say." Suddenly, Rebel Kel, "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane, and Claudia Solis show up, and Kel and Claudia say they are ready. Nikki says that she is ready for some six-woman tag team action.



"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane, Rebel Kel and Claudia Solis beat Paris Kelly, Lil Bit and "The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black in a six-woman tag team action.



In footage from earlier today, Alan Steel leaves his bag on the ring apron when someone gets his attention, and The Posse (Simon and Lil' Chris) swap the Memphis Heritage Championship with a fake children's title belt.



Alan Steel heads to the announce table with the tiny children's title belt in his hand. Steel accuses the crowd, Dustin Starr and Action Jackson of being in on the joke. He tells Dustin Starr to give this to Action Jackson, saying it will be the closest he will ever get to being champion. When Dustin Starr announces that Alan Steel will defend the Memphis Heritage Championship against Action Jackson in two weeks, Alan Steel says Action Jackson will step in the ring with the real deal for his first and only title shot. Alan Steel says that Action Jackson will enter a challenger and leave a victim.



Backstage, "Big Swole" Justin Cole asks Mike Anthony if he has his back today. Mike Anthony tells Justin Cole that he didn't have it the last time, and that he was there only to make a statement.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Meklakov after Mike Anthony shows up and yanks Ken Dang off the apron and beats him up.



Backstage, Uncle Mikey and The Skimahorns have a meal at Top's Bar-B-Q in an attempt to "eat like champions." When Uncle Mikey bails on the bill, they have to wash dishes to pay the tab.



The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) heads to the announce table. Jimmy Blaylock says that Brett Michaels is afraid of them, and says that if you want to see some fireworks explode, that is what is about to happen, as they are about to explode right now.



The Crowleys (Jacksyn and Otis Crowley) beat The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) with a double-team top rope Spanish Fly. After the match, The Crowleys continue to attack The Yung GOATs, then Brett Michaels shows up and hits The Crowleys with a baseball bat. The Revenant of Walker Hayes gets in the ring, but Jimmy Blaylock holds Walker Hayes back as The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) retreat.

Van Viciouss beats Maxx Stone.



"The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black and Lil Bit beat Diana Taylor and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane after Diana Taylor tags herself in only to be hit with a Codebreaker by Lil Mix as Katelynn yanks Nikki Lane off the apron.



In footage from Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night, Austin Lane beats Derrick King by submission.

Derrick King and Queen Katelynn are at the announce table. Derrick King says it does not get any better than him, and Danny B. Goode shows up as he speaks, getting the next match started. Derrick King and Queen Katelynn then guest on commentary for the next match.

Danny B. Good beats Precious. After the match, Derrick King gets in the ring and superkicks Danny B. Good.



The Memphis Women's Championship is revealed for the first time.



In footage from Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night, The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) beat The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) and The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) in a three-way tag team match to become the inaugural Memphis Tag Team Champions after Uncle Mike pulls Aaron Roberts out of the pinfall and The Skimahorns pick the bones.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole heads to the announce table and announces his tag team partner is Mike Anthony, who shows up. When Swole asks if he will be his tag team partner, Anthony walks away, and the next match is a handicap match.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Meklakov and Ken Dang in a two-on-one handicap match. During the match, Mike Anthony shows up and tags himself in, and his efforts help put Ken Dang away after Justin Cole clotheslines Meklakov to the outside. After the match, Mike Anthony says he does not like "Big Swole" Justin Cole and never will, then says he will no longer be overlooked as he is loved by few, hated by many, respected by all and dared by none. He says that if they line them up, he will knock them down.





In footage from Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night, Dustin Starr beats Van Viciouss.

Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson head to the announce table. Steel says they are sick and tired of the games being played here and says that stacking the odds against them only led to them raising the show's ratings. Dotson blames last week's lost on a crooked referee as well as propaganda from Dustin Starr. As for Action Jackson's Memphis title opportunity, Steel says he is the one who calls the shots and that Jackson will get his chance when he says so. When they find out that they are facing The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) next, Steel says that like them or hate them, they will be respected and they will be better than The Posse ever will be.



Action Jackson guests on commentary for the next match.

The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) beat Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson after Action Jackson gets in the ring as the referee is preoccupied with the action going on on the outside and hits Alan Steel with the Sliced Bread.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for June 19, 2021

The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) heads to the announce table. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock brags about destroying Brett Michaels and Austin Lane and says there is no telling who will be destroyed next, as nobody is safe. He then says it is time for The Hollywood Horror Show.



Otis Crowley beats Connor. After the match, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock reiterates that The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) will destroy everyone in their way, and says that they will return.





Eric McMahon and Paris Kelly head to the announce table. Eric says that Paris Kelly still has emotional trauma and loss of vision and that Diana Taylor has one last chance to make things right. He calls out Diana Taylor, who shows up. Eric demands Diana apologize to Paris, and Diana tells Paris that she did not mean to hurt her.Eric demands Diana apologize to Paris, and Diana tells Paris that she did not mean to hurt her. Eric accepts the apology, but wants Diana Taylor to admit that she caused physical trauma and loss of vision, but Paris says she is not responsible for it is her job. "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beats Lil Bit. During the match, it is announced that today's main event is Action Jackson vs. Johnny Dotson, and if Action Jackson wins, he gets a match with Alan Steel. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Nikki Lane, who says that she wants to see a women's title with all the championship talk going on.



Austin Lane heads to the announce table. Austin says that The Crowleys and Walker Hayes gave him a fight last week, saying he feels like he was powerbomb through a bunch of bricks. Austin Lane says that he will have a special "Best of the Best" open challenge on tonight's Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night and prove he is the best of the best, then Derrick King and "The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black show up for the first time since the Grind City Rumble. Derrick King accepts Austin Lane's open challenge for tonight's show.



Jay Smooth vs. Maxx Stone ends in a no-contest. During the match, The Skimahorns (Brad Skimahorn, Briar Skimahorn, Uncle Mikey) show up wanting to know where the tag team titles are at. Dave Brown says this will be addressed after the match, then The Skimahorns attack both Jay Smooth and Maxx Stone. The Skimahorns then continue to demand the tag team titles, then The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) and The Posse (Lil Chris and Simon) show up. Dave Brown then reveals the Memphis Tag Team Championships, and that one of the three teams at the announce table will walk out of tonight's show with the titles around their waists.





Ken Dang vs. "Big Swole" Justin Cole ends with Norman Meklakov attacking Justin Cole in the middle of the match. After the match, Meklakov shoves the referee before he and Deng continue to assault Justin Cole. Afterwards, Justin Cole says he will have to find a tag team partner to face Ken Dang and Norman Meklakov. He then challenges Meklakov to a Flag Match at Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night.





Maria Starr confronts Van Viciouss at the announce table, saying she wants nothing to do with him. Van Viciouss says he has seen the way she looks at him, and says that he knows she wants him. Maria slaps Van Viciouss in the face, but Viciouss takes it as her wanting him. Maria slaps Van Viciouss in the face, but Viciouss takes it as her wanting him. After Maria shows Dustin Starr a DM that Van Viciouss sent her, Dustin Starr takes off his watch and jacket and gets in the ring, but Viciouss attacks him. Dustin Starr soon fights back and clotheslines Van Viciouss out of the ring, and Van Viciouss retreats after blowing a kiss at Maria. Dustin Starr says he has been waiting to do this for a long time, and tells Van Viciouss he poked the bear by putting his hands on Maria before challenging Van Viciouss to a match at Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night.



Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson head to the announce table. Dotson says he is happy to have today's match, for he will show why he is pound for pound the best in the business with the top dog of Memphis wrestling at his side.



Action Jackson beats Johnny Dotson to earn a Memphis Heritage Championship match against Alan Steel.

The Hollywood Horror Show ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jacksyn Crowley, Otis Crowley, The Revenant of Walker Hayes) head to the announce table. Jimmy Blaylock says that they will be at Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night looking for "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and that they will hurt Brett Michaels. He says that he does not care who they take down, and says that nobody should get in their way. We then see a message from Brett Michaels, who has a bat in his hands as he tells The Hollywood Horror Show they have messed with him for the last time. He says he will be at Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night and that he will not be coming alone. Blaylock responds by saying that tonight, somebody is going to get hurt.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for May 29, 2021

Memphis Grizzlies announcer Pete Pranica is on commentary this week.

"The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson show up. Steel says that if they wanted to attack Jerry Jarrett, they would have done it, and Dotson says that "The GunShow" Brett Michaels put his hands on him because he is jealous. Suddenly, Brett Michaels and Action Jackson show up. Action Jackson shows up, saying they are tired of the disrespect before challenging Steel and Dotson to a tag team match against him and Michaels. Michaels says that the Memphis Heritage Championship is coming home to him next week.

The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) show up. Brad says that their back-up is coming as they head to the ring to face The Yung GOATs (Zay Washington and Aaron Roberts).

The Yung GOATs (Zay Washington and Aaron Roberts) beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn). After the match, The Posse (Lil Chris and Simon) show up, and Simon makes fun of The Skimahorns for losing. Suddenly, The Skimahorns call for Uncle Mikey, who is their back-up, and Uncle Mikey shows up.





Backsage, Action Jackson meets with "The GunShow" Brett Michaels about what happened at the end of last week's show, then says that while Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson are feared, they are disrespectful, and he plants to get even. Brett Michaels tells Action Jackson that if he can have his back this week, he can get the first shot at the Memphis Heritage Championship when he wins it.

Eric McMahon and Paris Kelly guest on the announce table for the next match.

"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beats Diana Taylor after Eric McMahon gets on the apron, distracting Diana Taylor as she goes for the DDT and gives Nikki Lane an opening to win.



Dustin Starr interviews Austin Lane. Austin says he is here because he has always been a fan of Memphis wrestling, and that Championship Wrestling From Memphis has the best talent in the world and can put them against anybody. He says he wants to prove he is the best in the ring, and starting next week, he will issue an open challenge to anybody in the world who wants to step up to him to prove he is a wrestling machine.



"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Maxx Stone. After the match, Big Swole heads to the announce desk for an interview, but he is soon attacked from behind by Norman Meklakov, who puts him in the full nelson.



Dustin Kelly interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, who says that "The GunShow" Brett Michaels should be in anger management, and says that Michaels is a loser who cannot win a match when Action Jackson and Brett Michaels show up. Blaylock tells Michaels that "they" are coming for him very soon before he heads to the back.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for May 22, 2021



"The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson show up and are interviewed by Dustin Starr at the announce table in the debuting Wrestlecenter. Steel has the feeling he was not wanted as the first Memphis Heritage Champion, and Dotson says he and Steel are the hottest thing going around here. Steel says he and Dotson are the highlights in Championship Wrestling From Memphis, then we see a video package chronicling events from Steel and Dotson's debut and Steel's win in the Grind City Rumble. Steel then says that Dotson's opinion is the only one that matters, and says that in just a little while, they will make one more highlight when Jerry Jarrett awards him the Memphis Heritage Championship and raises their hands in victory.



We see footage of The Posse helping to build the announce table for the Wrestlecenter after The Posse shows up wearing hard hats. Dustin and Maria find out they are on The Posse's "no-prank" list as it is announced that The Posse will be facing The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn).





The Posse (Simon and Lil' Chris) beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn). After the match, The Skimahorns are angry with their inability to win and people showing up to play games, and Brad says that back-up is coming while Briar says it is "all a political game."





Dustin Starr interviews "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane at the announce desk after some highlights. Nikki says she did what she came to do: slay "The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black and dethrone Derrick King. She says that she is now focused on winning the women's championship. Afterwards, Eric McMahon makes a surprise appearance, saying he fired Super Ed after neither of them showed up at the Grind City Rumble, then says his new client Paris Kelly was in a bad accident a couple of weeks ago. Paris Kelly shows up, and we then see a picture of her from after the accident. Eric then calls out Diana Taylor, who is about to face Nikki Lane, and Diana says that she did not mean to hurt anybody. Eric McMahon demands an apology, and when Diana apologizes, Eric says it is not good enough and to not talk to his client, for they will be suing her in county court for damages.





"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beats Diana Taylor by count-out when Diana Taylor leaves and heads to the back, unable to focus on the match with Eric McMahon and Paris Kelly at ringside.



Dustin Starr interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock at the announce desk. Blaylock demands he be called a director, not a wrestling manager, and says he directs people to kick butt and that he will do this as he directs the "Hollywood Horror Show." As he says he does not care about "The GunShow" Brett Michaels - whom he calls "a big crybaby" - Brett Michaels shows up and Dustin Starr is caught between them. Brett Michaels says the fans know he should be Memphis Heritage Champion right now, then heads to the ring after apologizing to Maxx Stone, saying Jimmy "cost [him] every bit of this right now."



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Maxx Stone. After the match, Brett Michaels chases "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock to the back, then it is announced that Brett Michaels will get a one-on-one Memphis Heritage Championship match against Alan Steel in two weeks. Brett Michaels says he has bigger fish to fry after what's happened to him in Championship Wrestling From Memphis so far, and that he will become the next Memphis Heritage Champion.



"The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson show up accusing Dustin Starr of being friends with "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and giving out title shots, then Steel demands to know how much longer he has to wait to be given the Memphis Heritage Championship. After being told that Jerry Jarrett is indeed here, Steel says he and Dotson are the only people they worry about and demands that Jerry Jarrett get out to the ring.

Action Jackson beats "The King of Pow" Chris Lexx. After the match, Action Jackson says "The King of Pow" Chris Lexx can go all day, then gets the crowd pumped one more time.



Jerry Jarrett is in the ring with the Memphis Heritage Championship as "The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson make their way there. Jarrett speaks with Steel and Dotson, then awards the Memphis Heritage Championship to Steel and raises Steel's hand. Suddenly, Steel jerks his hand away and Steel puts on his black gloves after Dotson hands them to him. Suddenly, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels gets in the ring but gets outnumbered, and Action Jackson runs into the ring to make the save for Michaels. Michaels and Jackson then clean house. Jerry Jarrett, who has left the ring at the beginning of the brawl, gets in the ring with Michaels and Jackson and thanks them before raising their hands.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for May 8, 2021

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels quickly beats Kyle Roberts.



In footage from earlier this week, "The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel says he has half a mind to tear up the Starrs' home - where he is being interviewed at - like the Cobra Cup trophy after being left out of the Cobra Cup Tournament, then says that he and Johnny Dotson had to throw a bigger stone back due to the disrespect caused by that. He says that next week at the Grind City Rumble, he and Johnny Dotson will not be kept out, and they will destroy everyone before winning the Memphis Heritage Championship and having a big celebration with Jerry Jarrett.



Derrick King, "Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black and Van Viciouss show up to the building in their white limousine while Nikki and Austin Lane get ready for tonight.

The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn).



Backstage, Action Jackson and DJ Brown draw their numbers for the Grind City Rumble. Danny B. Good, who is with them, secretly draws a number when they leave.



"The King of Pow" Chris Lexx beats Brandon Espinosa when Espinosa does not kick out in time. After the match, Espinosa goes for a cheap shot, but Lexx nails him with the DDT.



Backstage, "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt draws a number for the Grind City Rumble, then Precious shows up after Rembrandt leaves and apologizes to Cassandra Golden. Cassandra is having none of it while she and Precious draw a number. Cassandra then tells Precious he can make it up to her by wrestling the next person who draws a number. That person ends up being Mike Anthony. Precious is scared for his life.

We see a weird video message from The Crowleys with the definition of the word "revenant" displayed several times throughout.

Mike Anthony quickly beats Precious.



Backstage, Terrance Ward interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, who is keeping who he is representing in the Grind City Rumble a secret.

Austin Lane and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beat Derrick King and "Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black. After the match, Derrick King lays out Austin Lane with a shoe, then superkicks Nikki.



Backstage, Norman Meklakov challenges anyone in an over-the-top-rope challenge in a preview of next week's Grind City Rumble, saying that nobody can toss him over the top rope and that he will prove it right now. After Meklakov enters the ring, the challenge is answered by Maxx Stone.

Norman Mekalkov beats Maxx Stone, Carter Matthews and Jay Smooth in an over the top rope challenge, but he soon meets his match in "Big Swole" Justin Cole, who tosses him over the top rope.

"The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel says that "The GunShow" Brett Michaels took the beating he gave him personally, and says he is not the first and will not be the last.



"The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel beats Maxx Stone. After the match, Johnny Doston and Alan Steel continues to attack Maxx Stone, then "The GunShow" Brett Michaels runs them out of the ring with a metal baseball bat.



Backstage, Terrence Ward interviews Norman Meklakov, who says he is going to destroy all American competitors in Memphis.



We hear from Action Jackson and "The Last Hotstepper" DJ Brown, who talk about their match next week. As Jackson is excited for next week, Brown is more focused on his match this week.



Amber Rodriguez guests on commentary for the next match.

Cece Chanel beats Diana Taylor.



"Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt beats Precious. During the match, Cassandra Golden inadvertently distracts Precious as she watches from the entrance, and "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt gets the win with the Sunset Flip.



Backstage, Terrance Ward interviews Jonny Lyons, who says he has shown the heart, passion and fire of a lion and that "The Last Hotstepper" DJ Brown is going to find what he brings to the table.



"The Last Hotstepper" DJ Brown beats Jonny Lyons.



Da Russell Twins (Allen and Kameron Russell) beat The Skimahorns (Briar and Brad Skimahorn). During the match, The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) show up to watch the match (and also have some Tops Bab-B-Q). Later in the match, The Posse scare Brad Skimahorn as he is on the top rope, tripping him off the top and allowing Da Russell Twins to get the win.



Backstage, "Big Swole" Justin Cole is met by Super Ed.



Eric McMahon - now with his manager's license - guests on commentary for the next match to do some scouting.

"The Genetic Nightmare" Mike Anthony beats "Big Swole" Justin Cole.



"Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black beats "Smokin' Hott" Nikki Lane after Derrick King grabs Katelynn's ankle to keep Nikki from suplexing her back into the ring, allowing Katelynn to win with a schoolkid pin as Nikki takes a swing at Derrick. After the match, Nikki Lane slaps Derrick King in the face, and Derrick King slaps her back. Suddenly, Austin Lane shows up and chases Derrick King out of the ring, then ducks the briefcase shot from Van Viciouss and takes Viciouss down.

Humongous beats Jonny Lyons. After the match, The Crowleys (Jacksyn and Otis Crowley) show up, but Humongous holds them back.



Backstage, Mike Anthony tells "Big Swole" Justin Cole that he is the one who does the calling out, then accepts Justin Cole's challenge. He then says that he will only do it on his time, and his time is today.



Backstage, Terrance Ward interviews "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane, who says that the women's division has been civil for the most part, then mentions Queen Katelyn thinking she is bigger than everybody and having her own locker room. She then entertains the idea of challenging Queen Katelyn to the match.



Derrick King guests on commentary for the next match. (The match is supposed to be Derrick King's in-ring debut, but Van Viciousss takes his place here instead.)

Van Viciouss beats "The King of Pow" Chris Lexx with a briefcase planted in the corner by Queen Katelyn after Katelyn distracts the referee.



Backstage, The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) finds out that The Skimehorns (Brad and Brian Skimehorn) have knocked out Dreadhead Kev.

Backstage, Terrance Ward interviews "New Money" Salena Dean, who says that she is "new money," that "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane is overlooking her and that she will have to go through her first to get to Queen Katelyn.



"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beats Precious with a schoolkid pin out of the corner.



In footage from earlier this week, King Cobra praises "The GunShow" Brett Michaels for his progress and victory in the Cobra Cup Tournament, and says he will be honored to award him the Cobra Cup.



"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats "Genetic Nightmare" Mike Anthony with a roll-up.



We see a brief video package chronicling the results of the recent Cobra Cup Tournament.



King Cobra enters the ring with the Cobra Cup. His entrance is followed by that of "The GunShow' Brett Michaels, whom King Cobra awards the Cobra Cup. Suddenly, Memphis Wrestling legend Johnny Dotson approaches Brett Michaels, but it is a set-up for Brett Michaels to be attacked from behind by "All That" Alan Steel, who puts the boots to him along with Dotson. As Dotson punches Michaels several times, Steel stomps on the Cobra Cup and breaks it.

Backstage, Dreadhead Kev takes a picture of The Skimahorn Brothers (Brad and Briar Skimahorn), but gets pushed around by one of them. They leave when The Posse (Lil Chris and Simon) show up.
