Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for May 8, 2021

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels quickly beats Kyle Roberts.

In footage from earlier this week, "The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel says he has half a mind to tear up the Starrs' home - where he is being interviewed at - like the Cobra Cup trophy after being left out of the Cobra Cup Tournament, then says that he and Johnny Dotson had to throw a bigger stone back due to the disrespect caused by that. He says that next week at the Grind City Rumble, he and Johnny Dotson will not be kept out, and they will destroy everyone before winning the Memphis Heritage Championship and having a big celebration with Jerry Jarrett.

Derrick King, "Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black and Van Viciouss show up to the building in their white limousine while Nikki and Austin Lane get ready for tonight.

The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn).

Backstage, Action Jackson and DJ Brown draw their numbers for the Grind City Rumble. Danny B. Good, who is with them, secretly draws a number when they leave.

"The King of Pow" Chris Lexx beats Brandon Espinosa when Espinosa does not kick out in time. After the match, Espinosa goes for a cheap shot, but Lexx nails him with the DDT.

Backstage, "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt draws a number for the Grind City Rumble, then Precious shows up after Rembrandt leaves and apologizes to Cassandra Golden. Cassandra is having none of it while she and Precious draw a number. Cassandra then tells Precious he can make it up to her by wrestling the next person who draws a number. That person ends up being Mike Anthony. Precious is scared for his life.

We see a weird video message from The Crowleys with the definition of the word "revenant" displayed several times throughout.

Mike Anthony quickly beats Precious.

Backstage, Terrance Ward interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, who is keeping who he is representing in the Grind City Rumble a secret.

Austin Lane and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane beat Derrick King and "Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black. After the match, Derrick King lays out Austin Lane with a shoe, then superkicks Nikki.

Backstage, Norman Meklakov challenges anyone in an over-the-top-rope challenge in a preview of next week's Grind City Rumble, saying that nobody can toss him over the top rope and that he will prove it right now. After Meklakov enters the ring, the challenge is answered by Maxx Stone.

Norman Mekalkov beats Maxx Stone, Carter Matthews and Jay Smooth in an over the top rope challenge, but he soon meets his match in "Big Swole" Justin Cole, who tosses him over the top rope.
