Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 10, 2021

Asuka, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke beat Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler after Baszler's leg gives out on her and Asuka hits her with a Shining Wizard. During the match, Alexa Bliss and Lilly show up on the swingset, and Alexa Bliss says that she and Lilly are here to keep their eye on someone. After the match, Charlotte Flair lays out Asuka, then Alexa Bliss and Lilly are seen laughing.

Backstage, Matt Riddle meets with The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) and announces that he and Randy Orton will be an officially registered tag team. The three of them then talk about Elias hitting Randy Orton with an tomato, then Randy Orton shows up. The three of them try to butter up and act like it was funny, but Orton says the only things he finds funny are ending careers, killing legends, kicking people in the head and setting things on fire.

Backstage, MVP meets with Braun Strowman, and tells him that Drew McIntyre beat him last week, not Bobby Lashley, and that Lashley has called Strowman the strongest person he has ever fought and could have beat him had it not been for McIntyre. He says that if Lashley had to lose the WWE Championship, he would rather lose it to Strowman, as McIntyre has already had his opportunity, and says that if McIntyre were too injured to wrestle on Sunday, it would just be the two of them.

Adam Pearce meets with Damian Priest, The Miz and John Morrison. Priest states that if Morrison can beat him tonight, Morrison gets to pick the stipulation for Priest's match with Miz on Sunday, but if he wins, he gets to choose. Morrison accepts, much to Miz's chagrin.

We hear from Jinder Mahal, who says that nothing smells better than fresh competition and that he is glad to be back on Raw. He then announces that he has returned with Veer and Shanky, and that he will be reminding people of why he was once WWE Champion. (Veer and Shanky are - respectively - former Indus Sher member Rinku Singh and Dilsher Shanky, one of the competitors from Superstar Spectacle earlier this year.)

Jinder Mahal beats Jeff Hardy.

Backstage, Charlotte Flair meets with WWE official Sonya Deville.

Backstage, Elias and Jaxston Ryker meet with "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and Omos. Ryker has a basket of tomatoes ready, while Elias has a song about the four of them being a team. AJ Styles is not of the mood for any of this, and says that they should be taking the match more seriously as they are Raw Tag Team Champions. Styles then hands Omos a tomato, then Omos squashes it after saying "This will be our opponents."

Matt Riddle, Randy Orton and The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) beat "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Omos, Elias and Jaxson Ryker in an eight-man tag match after slinking into the ring and hitting Elias with an RKO after The New Day distract Omos by spinning Styles around on the outside. After the match, Randy Orton hits The New Day with two RKOs. Riddle asks Orton how they are going to have friends if he keeps doing things like this, but Orton just walks away.

Backstage, WWE official Sonya Deville meets with Rhea Ripley and Asuka, telling them that they have a match against each other tonight after being given an idea earlier today. Ripley thinks this is Charlotte Flair's idea, while Asuka says she has no problem competing again tonight. Ripley tells Asuka she will beat her like she did at WrestleMania, then says Charlotte Flair can have all the good idea she wants, as they will not save her this Sunday.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews MVP and Bobby Lashley. MVP says Lashley has nothing to prove, as he has proven himself the better man once and tonight will be no different. Lashley says that he has beaten Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman before, and after having beaten Strowman last week, he will beat McIntyre again. On the subject of meeting with MVP, he says that he does not comment on ongoing business negotiations.Lashley says that he has beaten Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman before, and after having beaten Strowman last week, he will beat McIntyre again. On the subject of MVP meeting with Strowman, he says that he does not comment on ongoing business negotiations. MVP then tells Kevin Patrick to leave.

Before the next match, Sheamus says that Mansoor and Humberto Carrillo tried to take advantage of him last week only to get Brogue Kicked, then asks why he would want to walk into the footsteps of "has-beens" when he can make his own legacy. He says that previous champions would give even Adnan Virk - who he says is "out of his depth" on commentary - a shot at the championship, and says that potential opponents have to earn their shot. He says that guys like Mansoor and Carrillo are not on his level, and that Carrillo will take him on again only to become "meme of the week" when he gets another Brogue Kick.

Sheamus beats Humberto Carrillo by referee stoppage after Sheamus lands on Humberto's left knee as Humberto hits him with a Sunset Bomb to the outside.

We see a vignette for The Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik).

We see Eva Marie's vignette from last week.

Shelton Benjamin beats Cedric Alexander after Cedric starts toying with him following the Lumbar Check.

Backstage, Angel Garza is doing a photo shoot when Drew Gulak confronts him for embarrassing and humiliating him with his actions last week, and Garza says that next time, he will shove his rose down Gulak's throat.

Rhea Ripley beats Asuka. During the match, Charlotte Flair shows up to guest on commentary for the match, and she distracts both Rhea and Asuka during the match.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews Drew McIntyre, who says he had no involvement in getting involved last week until Braun Strowman put his hands on him. As for MVP's business proposition, he will deal with it if it happens, but tonight, he will beat Bobby Lashley. After that, he will become WWE Champion on Sunday.

Damian Priest beats John Morrison to pick the stipulation for his match against The Miz at WrestleMania Backlash despite interference from The Miz. After the match, Miz attacks Priest and goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Priest breaks out of the move and Miz quickly retreats. Priest then hits Morrision with Hit The Lights one more time.

Backstage, Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley have a staredown.

We see another vignette for Eva Marie, where Eva Marie says she has reached heights of fame and fortune she never though possible as she does a photo shoot. She says that she has everything she ever wanted and wants the same for other people, but they will have to put in the work. She says that life is not picture-perfect and that it takes 99 bad pictures to get one good one.

Backstage, Damian Priest tells Adam Pearce that he wants a lumberjack match against The Miz this Sunday so that The Miz has nowhere to run. Pearce tells Priest he can consider it done.

Drew McIntyre beats Bobby Lashley by disqualification after Braun Strowman gets in the ring and attacks Strowman before hitting him with a running powerslam. After the match, McIntyre helps Lashley up, and when Lashley hugs him, McIntyre hits Lashley with a running powerslam. He then grabs McIntyre and hits him with the running powerslam again. Strowman then leaves the ring, grabs MVP's cane when MVP confronts him, tosses it away and puts Lashley through the barricade with another running powerslam in front of MVP before returning to the ring and hitting McIntyre with yet another running powerslam. As he does this, he tells McIntyre that his loyalty lies with no one.
