Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling From Memphis recap for August 7, 2021

Jay Smooth vs. Precious ends with Lance Archer suddenly showing up and decimating both men. Afterwards, Lance Archer corners Dustin Starr and says that everybody dies and that he is not done.

Austin Lane heads to the announce desk. It is mentioned that Connor's whereabouts are still unknown, and Austin Lane nobody, including himself, has not heard from him either. He then says there will be another Best Of The Best Challenge right now. The challenge is answered by Uncle Mikey, and The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) guest on commentary for the match.

Austin Lane beats Uncle Mikey in a Best of the Best Challenge Match despite the distractions from Briar Skimahorn.

Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson head to the announce table. Steel says he has slept well all this week after breaking simon's arm, and says that when you mess with "the living legends of Memphis wrestling," you become a memory. Dotson brags about breaking Lil Chris' arm and keeping him from doing things, but when he messes with some fans, he gets hit with a steel chair to the back by Lil' Chris, who then brawls with Steel in the ring despite a broken arm. Steel soon sends Lil' Chris broken arm-first into a ring post, but Lil' Chris fights back with a chair shot to Steel's back.

We hear from Cece Chanel, who says that Heather Monroe has been chasing championship gold for a long time and admits that Heather is good, and says that while Nikki Lane is a rising star, she is a tough opponent. She says that she has been working hard too, and that she will be coming for the Memphis Women's Championship, too.

We hear from Diana Taylor, who says that she cannot wait to hit Paris Kelly with a DDT tonight at Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night.

Before the next match, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock gets angry with "The GunShow" Brett Michael for injuring The Revenant of Walker Hayes' face. He then removes the cover from Walker Hayes' face to reveal that Hayes is wearing a mask before directing him to the ring.

The Revenant of Walker Hayes decimates Carter Matthews after The Crowleys (Jacksyn and Otis Crowley) force Matthews into the ring when Matthews tries to get out of the match. Jacksyn is noted to have two different colored eyes.

"Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane retains the Memphis Women's Championship against Heather Monroe. During the match, Lil Bit shows up and hits Nikki Lane with Heather's fan, but Nikki kicks out.

Before the next match, Lance Archer says that he would come back and that he wants to see what Championship Wrestling From Memphis has. Uncle Mikey and The Skimahorns head to the ring and surround it. Lance Archer takes them all down one by one with a couple of clotheslines, and the three of them regroup before going for an all-out assault on Archer, which has virtually no effect. Archer goes for a choke slam on Mikey, and while Brad and Briar hit him with stereo chop blocks, even this has no effect. Mikey goes for a suplex only for Archer to chuck him from one corner to the other. Archer then choke slams Briar onto Brad, then hits Mikey with a nasty chop. He gets him up top, chops him again, then hits Mikey with the Blackout in the middle of the ring. Suddenly, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels gets in the ring with Archer. Archer goes for a choke slam, but Brett escapes it and hits the GunShow Lariat. Security and referees have to stop an angry Archer from getting back in the ring.
