Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for August 5, 2021

Crazzy Steve beats Fallah Bahh on the pre-show match after the rest of Decay (Rosemary, Havok, Black Taurus) scare Fallah and Steve threatens to bite Fallah's face off.

Chris Bey beats Juice Robinson as Finlay beats up "Switchblade" Jay White on the ramp. After the match, Jay White hands Chris Bey a Bullet Club shirt, and both of them do the "Too Sweet" hand signal, confirming Chris Bey as a member of Bullet Club.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Don Callis, Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson). Don Callis says you can put any three opponents against Omega and the Brothers and none will win. Omega takes offense to a #1 contender for the Impact World Championship being decided by a battle royal when Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner, Rhino) show up and enact their tag team title rematch clause against The Good Brothers at Emergence.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz). Kiera says that she and Tasha have taken a few losses, but they will bounce back, especially after Tasha found out what a good tag team partner looks like at Homecoming. After Tasha agrees with Kiera, Kiera says that Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering will also find out what makes a good tag team tonight.

We see a video package of Homecoming from last week.

Matthew Rehwoldt appears in the ring and introduces himself, then says he shares his spotlight tonight as Homecoming King with Homecoming Queen Deonna Purrazzo, who shows up. Roses are tossed into the ring while the crowd chants "No one like you!", then Deonna says she has been racking up accolade after accolade since coming to Impact, and that she was always the uncrowned queen of the Knockouts division. Suddenly, Mickie James arrives, and Deonna takes this as Mickie stealing her spotlight again. Mickie congratulates Rehwoldt and Deonna, then produces an official contract for Deonna's Knockouts title match at NWA Empowerrr. Before Deonna signs the contract, stating that she has beaten the unknown before and will do it again, she asks who her opponent at Empowerrr is. Mickie James mentions that her opponent is here right now. Suddenly, Melina arrives. Mickie asks Deonna if she is ready to make the match official after seeing who her opponent is, and Deonna signs the contract. After Melina signs the contract, Deonna introduces herself to Melina before saying it will be an honor to defeat her. Melina admits that Deonna is an impressive opponent, and says she is excited to do the exact same thing.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Taylor Wilde, who says that for the last two months, she was gone because someone reported her as a suspicion person, as she has to cross the Canadian border to work at Impact. She has reason to believe that Tenille Dashwood reported her, as the person filing a report on her was "Kelvin with a K." She says she took care of Kaleb with a K, then says she wants Tenille Dashwood next week.

We hear from Kimber Lee, who tells "Mother" that she wants to do what she wants her to do and bring her the souls that she desires. When she asks "Mother, may I?" to Su Yung, Su Yung says "Your time has come."

Jake Something beats Daivari, Rohit Raju and Trey Miguel in a four-way match to become the #1 contender for the Impact Wrestling X Division Championship.

Backstage, Rohit Raju says he had Jake Something dead to rights and that he should be #1 contender as he throws his bag around. Suddenly, Matt Cardona shows up and tells him he nearly hit Chelsea Green. After a tense staredown, Rohit and Shera retreat.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander. Alexander says that he shows up every week and demands opponents, and says that Jake Something earned his shot the right way. As he says that he can beat Jake, then Shawn Daivari shows up and says that if he was facing Alexander, he would be X Division Champion. Alexander tells Daivari that if he wants a match, all he has to do is ask, but Daivari says he doesn't fight for free and wants the X Division Championship. Alexander says that if Daivari can beat him next week, he will put the title on the line the following week. Daivari says he will get with Scott D'Amore to make the match official.

Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering beat Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz). After the match, a woman who is taller than either Kiera or Tasha shows up and attacks Kiera. Tasha folds her arms and looks down on Kiera, then leaves with the taller woman, who is identified on commentary as Savannah Evans.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Frankie Kazarian, who tells Kenny Omega that he would find him and that he found him in Impact Wrestling, which he helped build. He names off a list of legendary TNA and Impact names, then says he is here to deliver vengeance. As far as Sami Callihan and Eddie Edwards go, he trust Tommy Dreamer, and tells Sami and Eddie to handle their difference elsewhere. Kazarian then says that tonight is all about ripping out the heart of The Elite.

Backstage, Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner, Rhino) meet with Scott D'Amore. Eric Young lets D'Amore know that they will be enacting their tag team title rematch, then mentions that he was talking with Willie Mack and Rich Swann about the tag titles. D'Amore then makes the tag team title match at Emergence a three way dance between The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson), Violent By Design and the team of Swann and Mack.

Steve Maclin beats Jah-C. After the match, Maclin adds to an already deadly beating, first punching Jah-C before getting a steel chair. "The Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams runs into the ring, beats Maclin up and takes the chair, and Maclin slowly retreats.

It's time for All About Me. Tennille Dashwood mentions Taylor Wilde's attacks on Kaleb with a K, then introduces tonight's guest host, Dr. Ross Foreman, Impact's resident doctor. Suddenly, Scott D'Amore shows up and takes over for Dr. Foreman, then mentions Taylor Wilde's accusations against Tenille before stating that Taylor Wilde will drop charges against Tenille if Tenille agrees to a match with her. Scott D'Amore then tells Tenille Dashwood to get with Madison Rayne about using the old set for Locker Room Talk before leaving.

We see an advertisement for NJPW's United States return show in Los Angeles on August 14th.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Chris Sabin, who says that things are far from over between him and Moose and that he cannot think of a person he has hated more. However, he knows he can get under Moose's skin, too, as he has been a World Champion. He says that he will win the battle royal, become Impact World Champion, and make sure that Moose never wins the title.

Frankie Kazarian, Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan beat Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) in a six-man tag team match. After the match, Eddie Edwards is attacked from behind by W. Morrissey.
