After Dark Elevation - AEW Dark Elevation recap for August 19, 2021

Proud 'n Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) beat Warren Johnson and Zack Mason.

"The Native Beast" Nyla Rose beats Steff MK despite Ashley MK switching out for her behind the referee's back. After the match, Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero realize what happened, and Nyla Beast Bombs Steff onto Ashley. Afterwards, Vickie Guerrero says that every week, she is disgusted with the fans supporting Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. as AEW Women's World Champion, as she represents weakness with the injuries she has suffered in AEW. She then calls Nyla "a picture of strength," and that she is indestructable and unbreakable, and tells the fans to take a long look at reality, "as broken Barbies get dumped in the trash."

Emi Sakura beats Madi Wrenkowski with a Dragon Sleeper.

We hear from "Smart" Mark Sterling and Jade Cargill. Sterling says Kiera Hogan has a huge opportunity tomorrow on Rampage in front of thousands of people in Chicago, Illinois and has been impressive as of late. Jade takes offense to that statement, saying anybody can be a slight bit impressive before saying Kiera Hogan is a nobody and that she does not care what Kiera has done, while she is the star in AEW. Jade says that tomorrow night, she will show Kiera why she is "that bitch."

Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) beats Will Allday and Edge Stone (the latter of whom does not even get to tag in).

Daniel Garcia beats Matt Sydal with a Sharpshooter.

We hear from Daniel Garcia, who says he could have gone to any wrestling company but chose AEW to get the best competition possible. He says that he got that tonight after beating Matt Sydal, then says he is going for the best on the roster. Garcia says he has been watching Jon Moxley for years and that he does not expect Moxley to know anything about him, but even after Moxley has been around winning titles and matches, his bones still break the same and his muscles will tear the same. He promises that Moxley will have no question in his mind who he is after he beats him tomorrow night on Rampage.
