Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for August 11, 2021

In memory of Bobby Eaton, 1958 - 2021.

We hear from MJF and Wardlow, who mocks Chris Jericho for passing labour after labour, saying it makes for great television, and says that Jericho will be stopped at arm's length from the finish line tonight by Wardlow. MJF says that if Jericho somehow gets his rematch with him after all the blood, sweat and tears he has went through. Wardlow says he will beat Jericho, then MJF puts his apple in Wardlow's hand and tells him to get the job done tonight.

Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson) beat Dante Martin and The Sydal Brothers (Matt and Mike Sydal) in a six-man tag team match. After the match, Don Callis tells the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania crowd that they have never seen a winning team like The Elite before and that is great to be out here with them when Christian Cage shows up. Don Callis calls Christian "the Stanford stooge" and says there are 10 of The Elite and one of him, then Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) shows up. After the commercial break, Don Callis mentions Christian Cage's world title shot at All Out, then says that Christian is "a hell of a wrestler" and has one of the best finishes in wrestling, which Kenny Omega cannot wait to kick out of. Callis says that Christian will get the five-star match he has always wanted in three weeks, then says that Kenny Omega will not wrestle Christian in Pittsburgh. Christian Cage calls Don Callis a "carny piece of shit" and a "carny jackoff" and says that while the World title match is locked in, Kenny has more than one World title, and that following talks with Scott D'Amore and Impact Wrestling management, Kenny will wrestle him in Pittsburgh on Friday on Rampage for the Impact World Championship. Jungle Boy then says that he also talked to Tony Khan, and that next week, they will face The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Kenny Omega is absolutely livid as The Elite leave.

We see a promo where Malakai Black speaks in Dutch before saying that he is not really the bad guy here, as he has made good on what he has promised before stating that he who tells the truth is labelled a fool. He says that Cody Rhodes has one foot in the grave and asks Cody where he wants to plant the other one, then says that he will make the rest of the locker room so desolate that all they will be able to talk to is shadows and realize they have been arguing with God.

We see a trailer for "Rhodes to the Top," which premieres September 29th on TNT.

We hear from Miro, who says he is a humble man who wants to serve his vengeful god. He says that he forgave Lee Johnson after beating him, then says that anyone who says they will die for AEW should prove it against him. He then says that Fuego del Sol will get a contract if he can beat him on Friday, and says that this will not happen.

Darby Allin beats Daniel Garcia. After the match, Sting and Darby Allin brawl with 2.0 (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee) on the entrance ramp and come out on top.

Backstage, Death Triangle (PAC, Penta el Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix) - who are now united again - talk about what Andrade el Idolo are trying to do to them. PAC tells Rey Fenix and Fenix to let him take care of Andrade while they focus on the tag team titles, as they deserve gold. PAC then tells Andrade that they do not know him and do not know why he is so obsessed with them, then says this stops now and that Andrade can have a go if he has a problem with it, for he is easy to find.

The Hardy Family Office (Matt Hardy, Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy) beat Best Friends (Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, Wheeler Yuta) following distractions from other members of The Hardy Family Office at ringside and the interference from Nyla Rose - who attacks Kris Statlander before their match - during the match.

Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Andrade el Idolo. He and Chavo Guerrero tell PAC that he is ungrateful after all they have done for him, and Andrade tells PAC to be careful what he wishes for. Chavo tells Andrade to show PAC who is boss at All Out. Andrade says he is the boss, and Chavo says they both know Andrade is the boss and that PAC will find out at All Out.

We see a video package chronicling the feud between Proud 'n Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) and FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler). Proud 'n Powerful want a rematch, stating that FTR pack it up and go home at the first sign of trouble and that the second time around will be different as they tell FTR to bring their A-game.

Kris Statlander beats "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose.

We hear from The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and Brandon Cutler. Matt Jackson brag about their win tonight and state that they have dominated and proven themselves the best of all time for the past year. As Nick Jackson goes for a lay-up with the basketball in his hands into a nearby basketball hoop, Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) shows up and commits flagrant fowls on The Young Bucks.

We see a video package for Red Velvet vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. for the AEW Women's World Championship this Friday on Rampage.

Tony Schiavone interviews Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. in the ring. Britt says she cannot comment on Red Velvet's rise, because she cannot relate due to being the best in the women's division and "the baddest bitch on the block." She then says that she can relate to Red Velvet's fearlessness, as she was not afraid to step up when AEW and the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania needed a new Women's World Champion, saying she presents hope to the city after a difficult year. She then says Red Velvet would have a glimmer of hope if she were wrestling here in any other city besides "Brittsburgh," then says that she will drag her into the deep end as she swims with sharks when they square off in the main event of this week's Rampage. Afterwards, Red Velvet rushes into the ring and attacks Britt Baker, and referees quickly move into place to stop the brouhaha.

We see a video package for "Absolute" Ricky Starks vs. "The Machine" Brian Cage next week on Dynamite.

Scott D'Amore guests on commentary for the next match.

The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) retain the Impact World Tag Team Championships against The Dark Order (Evil Uno and Stu Grayson) after Gallows throws one of the tag team titles into the ring, distracting the referee and allowing The Good Brothers to take out Evil Uno and hit the Magic Killer on Stu Grayson for the win.

We hear from NWA Women's World Champion Kamille, who says that Leyla Hirsch will not sweep her off of her feet at NWA Empowerrr when the whole world watches her beat Hirsch.

Tony Schiavone interviews QT Marshall and Aaron Solow in the ring. Schiavone says he should be apologizing to him after the disrespect from the last few weeks, then says he will apologize to him not for the shake on his head, but for what they will do to his son Chris. Nick Comoroto drags Chris Schiavone into the ring, and Solow and Marshall attack Chris as Comoroto holds Tony down. When Tony is forced to apologize, he calls Marshall a son of a bitch, which causes Marshall to hit Chris in the gut. Suddenly, Paul Wight shows up. Marshall throws Solow at Wight, who grabs Solow by the throat and choke slams him while Marshall and Comoroto retreat.

Chris Jericho beats Wardlow in the Fourth Labour of Jericho after MJF gets ejected from the match by referee Abrey Edwards for trying to hand Wardlow the Dynamite Diamond Ring to use as a weapon, allowing Jericho to hit Wardlow with Floyd the baseball bat followed by the Judas Effect for the win. After the match, Jericho is attacked from behind by Shawn Spears, much to MJF's delight, but he is stopped by Sammy Guevara. Wardlow tosses Guevara off Spears, then MJF grabs Jericho and puts his injured arm in the Salt of the Earth. Suddenly, Jake Hager runs into the list and chases MJF, Wardlow and Spears out of the ring. An angry MJF tells Jericho that for their rematch next week, the stipulation is that Jericho cannot use the Judas Effect or come out to "Judas" by Fozzy. Also, MJF announces that if Jericho hits him with the Judas Effect, he will automatically win. He then tells Jericho that he has met his match as well as his successor in Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
