Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for August 14, 2021

Ian Riccaboni substitutes for Quinn McKay at the start of this week's show.

We hear from Holidead and Max The Impaler prior to their ROH Women's Championship Tournament match. Amy Rose speaks for Max The Impaler, saying that Holidead punched her ticket to destruction and that it will only be a matter of time before Max The Impaler is ROH Women's Champion.

Max The Impaler beats Holidead to advance to the quarterfinals of the ROH Women's Championship Tournament.

Next week: Rok-C vs. Quinn McKay and Miranda Alize vs. Nicole Savoy in the quarterfinals of the ROH Women's Championship Tournament!

We hear from Matt Taven, who says that life is meaningless without the memories it brings, yet the meaning of those memories can change, and happiness becomes a source of anger. Taven says his ego is what brought him to ROH, and that both he and Vincent would be nothing without their ego. He says that Vincent owes everything to him, and Vincent has tried to repay him by taking everything from him. He says that he will not let that happen, and that he will find out why he is Matt Taven at Glory By Honor. He then says that he will once again become ROH World Champion.

The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe), EC3, Josh Woods and "The Mercenary" Flip Gordon vs. VLNCE UNLTD (Chris Dickinson and Homicide), Bandido, Jonathan Gresham and Dragon Lee in an Champions vs. All-Stars Match. Both teams continue to brawl on the outside as Flip Gordon stands tall in the ring.
