The Rascalz then get high before comedically arguing over who will get the title shot.

Before the next match, Eric Young tells Joe Hendry that this is his last chance before stating that Hendry is the problem and that he will learn the hard way. He says tonight will be Hendry's greatest contribution to wrestling and that the fans will believe in him instead of Hendry. Travis Williams then attacks Hendry from behind, starting the next match.

Joe Hendry beats Travis Williams, then runs away from Eric Young and Judas Icarus - who have been ejected from ringside for Icarus' involvement in the match - after the match. He says that Frankie Kazarian's opinion means nothing to him and that he is the present and future of TNA while Kazarian knows his time is running out and that all monarchs will fall. He says that Kazarian will soon be "King Nothing" while he will continue to be "the same old jarhead."

Backstage, The Personal Concierge George Iceman wants a stipulation for Ash by Elegance's Knockouts title match with Masha Slamovich from Director of Authority Santino Marella, stating that Masha is dangerous. Santino makes the match a no-disqualification Match by Elegance, then offers Indi Hartwell the opportunity to be the special guest referee. Indi accepts and says that she will call the match right down the middle, but the Concierge accuses her of bias. After the match, Guevara says that Philadelphia, Pennsylvania sucks, and when the crowd replies with a "Texas Sucks" chant, Guevara says he has to agree, which is why he moved to Orlando, Florida. This leads to a "Florida Sucks" chant before stating that this is a tribute show and that La Faccion Ingobernable - including Rush - has to be among Dean Rasmussen's favorite wrestlers. Guevara says LFI is stronger than it has ever been and that anyone with a title has a problem. Rush says that ROH is about to become their empire before everyone jumps Cheeseburger, Isom and Titus one last time.

We hear from "Vanilla Baby" Blake Christian and Lee Johnson. Lee Johnson admits he may have come up short, but he and Christian are always one step head. Blake Christian says they are also undefeated and undeniable, which makes him the flavor of inevitability after he held the ROH World Championship high above his head. Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for September 11, 2024

We see the aftermath of The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley), "The Problem" Marina Shafir and PAC betraying "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. Jon Moxley says Bryan Danielson does not have the stomach for this, and says The Blackpool Combat Club pledged to create something that would last for years that they could be proud of. He then says AEW is full of egos that are out of control and that he cannot take it anymore, then says he has been put here to become the one true king of these lands. He says that Danielson's approach of diplomacy has failed and that he chooses war.

Tony Schiavone interviews The Patriachy (Christian Cage, "The Prodigy" Nick Wanye, Killswitch, Mama Wayne) in the ring to start tonight's show. Christian Cage says that according to Nick Wayne, he has infinite aura, and since he has carried AEW on his back for the last year-and-a-half, he would say this is true, but with his contract, it is undeniable. He admits the year did not start off the way it wanted, and that they had to rally. He says that when Killswitch was about to choke slam him, Killswitch realized what he is and what he needed to be: a monster and the most complete big man in the business today. Christian says he was about to cash in his contract, but realized that Saturday was not the right time or place. He then says that Bryan Danielson's days are nothing and that being suffocated with a bag will be nothing compared to what he does to him. Christian proclaims that he will beat Danielson so badly that Brie Bella will wish she had CTE so she could not comprehend the beating, then declares that he is absolutely the next AEW World Champion. Kip Sabian is seen in the crowd as The Patriarchy leaves.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Don Callis, Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher and "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita. Don Callis asks Will Ospreay to join Kyle Fletcher in the Casino Gauntlet Match for a tag team title shot. Ospreay says he has enough on his plate, but Callis says he owes him a favor and Fletcher says that he is sick and tired of coming close to the tag titles and not winning them. Ospreay agrees to take part in the match for Fletcher.

"Scapegoat" Jack Perry retains the TNT Championship against Lio Rush.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews "Scapegoat" Jack Perrry. Perry says people like him are crucified in this life so they can be celebrated in the next before getting back in his black Ford E-350.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "Hangman" Adam Page. Hangman says that if he had found one thousand house that Swerve Strickland called home, he would have burned one thousands houses to ashes, and he would have waited an eternity to make Swerve pay for what he did to him and his family. He says that he meant everything he had done to Swerve, and for those who witnessed it, he wants them to make no mistake that he meant it, and if anyone stood in his way of Swerve, then he will find them and hurt them. All of a sudden, Hangman attacks someone, then starts staring down Top Flight (Darius Martin, Dante Martin, Leila Grey), Action Andretti, The Dark Order (Evil Uno, John Silver, Alex Reynolds) and even Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett says his family has seen people like Hangman take the same path, and while he is going the extra mile, it will end with him full of guilt, shame, remorse and regret. He tells Hangman that he will regret laying his hands on his wife and that he will find out that his most dangerous enemy will be the man in the mirror. Hangman then attacks Jarrett, saying nobody asked him before security shows up to force Hangman out.

Before the next match, The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley), "The Problem" Marina Shafir, and PAC attack everyone involved in the next match. PAC says they have been patient, but enough is enough, and that AEW is broken. He says that what happened at All Out was inevitable, and that they are inevitable "as a product of this festering environment." PAC says he was lost for a long time, but now he has a new purpose. He says diplomacy has failed, and the company is theirs.

Backstage, The Learning Tree ("The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho, "The Redwood" Big Bill, "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith) arrive in a blue Bentley convertible. Jericho says today is a gloroius day to be in The Learning Tree with his new car, his best top students in Bryan Keith and Big Bill, and the $7,000 jacket that Orange Cassidy ruined when he poured orange juice all over it four years ago. This is why he has taken Orange's backpack as collateral, and while he did not find his money in the backpack, he did find something interesting, which he will reveal later tonight. Big Bill says that "thou who does not pay his debt will suffer the consequences." Bryan Keith says "Suffer the damn consequences!"

Ricochet beats Sammy Guevara. After the match, Ricochet gets Speared by The Beast Mortos. Sammy Guevara sees what has happened and scares Mortos out of the ring with a metal folding chair before helping Ricochet up and raising his hand.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, who says that defending the Continental Championship at All Out was the hardest night of his life, but he did it, and it was easy. Don Callis and "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita show up, with Callis saying that Okada only won because he did not pin Takeshita. Okada says that Takeshita will not be Continental Champion, leaves, then returns and calls Callis a bitch before Takeshita confronts him.

Darby Allin heads to the ring. Darby says that somebody has been looking for him and that he is right here. Jon Moxley and "The Problem" Marina Shafir show up and head to the ring. Moxley says he does not know what Darby has seen or heard, then says nothing has changed between them. Darby tells Moxley he has had enough and that there is a lot to talk about. Darby says that they came from nothing and that they are fighting to make sure they never go back, and says that he wrestles the way that he does because he takes nothing for granted and AEW gave him everything. Darby says he tried to look for a hero in his first year in wrestling, and every time he thought he found that hero, they showed their true colors. He says that Moxley was the exception and that he wanted to be like him. He says that Moxley wrestled in a high school gym on the independents, and while he lost their match in the indies, he knew he belonged in the ring with someone like Moxley. Darby says he looked up to Moxley until he turned on Bryan Danielson, and decided not to be like him anymore. He wants to know what Moxley wants from him. Moxley tells him that he will not face Danielson at Grand Slam, as Danielson is "indisposed" and Darby is not ready to be World Champion, and demands Darby hand his shot at the World Championship to him. Darby asks if Moxley has been dropped on his head or started drinking again, and says that Moxley is starting to sound entitled. He then tells Moxley to do something about it if he wants that world title shot so badly, and Moxley says that if he has to earn it, he will earn it at Grand Slam on September 25th. He then says that he will beat Darby and that Darby will never be World Champion, and says that he does not have time to explain everything to him before telling Darby that the world title shot will be his and that he will have to teach him the lesson the hard way. Darby accepts Moxley's challenge, and admits that while he does not know what Moxley is trying to do, he will push Moxley into the fire if he is trying to burn AEW down.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Interim EVP Christopher Daniels. He says Darby Allin is a risk-taker and that what he is doing is unneccesary. Nigel McGuinness shows up and says that he needs to meet with him and Tony Khan, as they will both want to hear what he has to say.

"The Glamour" Mariah May beats Queen Aminata in an AEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Match. After the match, Mariah says she still has yet to have her championship celebration, as something is missing and someone is missing. She then says that someone is Mira Shirakawa, who she asks to come back.

After the match, Mariah says she still has yet to have her championship celebration, as something is missing and someone is missing. She then says that someone is Mira Shirakawa, who she asks to come back.

Backstage, we hear from The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson). Matthew says that when they formed AEW, they wanted the greatest tag team division of all time, but now they have realized it is just them, because they are doing all the heavy lifting and nobody can beat them. He says that the fans should be mad at the rest of the division for not being good enough to replace them, and Nicholas says that they have created tonight's Tag Team Casino Gauntlet Match to see if any team can do just that before announcing that they will be watching live.

The Learning Tree ("The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho, "The Redwood" Big Bill, "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith) beat The Iron Savages (Boulder, Bronson, Jacked Jameson) in a trios match. After the match, Jericho mentions Orange Cassidy ruining his $7,000 jacket over four years ago, then states that Orange will not give him his money and that he will continue to take Orange's things. Jericho pulls out a portrait of Orange with his former best friends in Kris Statlander, Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta and says that Orange is still obsessed with friendship, telling him that there are no friends in wrestling and that he is being used. He then demands that Orange let go of his friendships and give him his $7,000, then Orange shows up on the video screen and says that "the boys" are bringing the cash. Mark Briscoe and Kyle O'Reilly then show up on a bulldozer and pours a whole bunch of coins into Jericho's Bentley.

Nigel McGuinness is in the ring. He announces that with Darby Allin putting his world title opportunity on the line, he says there will not be a world title match at Grand Slam. He says this is great for the champion, who is probably "strapped to an iron lung gasping for air like Justin Roberts when he was being choked out with his own tie," it is not good for AEW. He says that as a former World Champion, he feels Grand Slam should have the World Champion competing at the very least. He pulls out a contract, saying he has had to watch Danielson's career from the sidelines for years as an afterthought and postscript to a career that should have been his, and that Danielson is afraid of him and the one match that everyone wants to see. McGuinness then says Tony Khan is not afraid and knows a money match when he sees one, and at Grand Slam, it will be Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuinness, and while he can guarantee that Oasis will play him to the ring, he asks if Danielson will join him in the final countdown or if we will see the final match of "The American Dragon" before telling Danielson that the ball is in his court.

We hear from Hook, who says that he respects Roderick Strong and considers him one of the best wrestlers worldwide. He then says that his respect for him has been disturbed after Undisputed Kingdom's attack and Roderick complaining about his foot being under the ropes. He says he has fought tooth and nail to take back the FTW Championship, and wants to know when Roderick Strong will challenge him and try to take his title from him.

The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) watch the next match from the stage.

Owens tells him he is not on Monday Night Raw, but "The Kevin Owens Show," then says he has been in the same situation as Jey and that he has done a lot of bad things to a lot of good people and needing to make a change but finding it hard to earn respect and trust. He says that Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle are two people who do not want Jey here, and Owens admits there are people who still distrust him and do not want him here. He says Cody Rhodes is willing to give him a chance, and reminds him that Sami Zayn welcomed him with open arms. Owens then tells Jey that he has a long way to go to gain trust and respect and prove he is not the same as when he was in The Bloodline. Suddenly, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) shows up, and Finn Balor says that nobody speaks to Jey Uso like that, stating that Jey does not have to prove himself to Owens and that he does not have to prove himself to him because he and The Judgment Day respect him. Priest tells Owens he does not speak for the locker room and that he definitely does not speak for The Judgment Day because The Judgment Day runs the show, then tells Jey that if he needs time to make up his mind, their door is open and he just has to walk through it. Priest also uses Dominik as an example, saying he said no a thousand times but is now his best self as champion. Dominik picks up the microphone only to be booed without saying a word, and he says The Judgment Day has always been there for him at the highest of highs and lowest of lows. Priest says The Judgment Day came out here because they had a match with Owens and Sami, but wants to know where Sami is. Owens says he is not here, but he will fight alone if he has to, and Jey Uso suddenly offers to tag with him to earn his respect. Owens says "Let's do it!", and Jey Uso immediately superkicks Dominik, which leads to the two of them easily clearing out the ring.

The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Damian Priest) beat Kevin Owens and "Main Event" Jey Uso when Jey inadvertently superkicks Owens and Finn hits Owens with the Coup de Grace. After the match, Jey apologizes to Owens, but Owens limps away.

Backstage, "Main Event" Jey Uso catches up with Kevin Owens and apologizes, saying the superkick was an accident, but tells him to find a new Bloodline in The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) and color his hair purple while he is at it.

Backstage, Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci) arrive at the arena in three-piece suits.

WWE remembers the September 11th attacks.

Miz beats Akira Tozawa with three Skull Crushing Finales, sending a message to L.A. Knight on the last one.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Raquel Rodriguez. Raquel says Rhea Ripley may be the most dominant woman to step into a wrestling ring with her strength and domination, but she is not like most people and even Rhea and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio know that. She says Rhea will learn that reality is worse than a nightmare when she finds out she is not the biggest, strongest and scariest in the ring.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler. Baszler admits Zoey Stark surprised her, then Chelsea Green shows up and mentions that she is looking for another tag team partner to stay women's tag team champion, saying they are "peers." Shayna proposes they get in the ring in a match to see how wide the gap is between them as far as them being "peers" is concerned. After Baszler leaves, Piper Niven suddenly shows up, takes one of the women's tag team title belts, and says "Medically cleared."

Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci) head to the ring to celebrate Gunther becoming the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion of all time. Ludwig Kaiser introduces Gunther, then Gunther announces that he has re-written history and is now officially the longest-reigning and greatest Intercontinental Champion in history. He says that the legends who held the title in the past contributed absolutely nothing and that he has taken the title to heights never seen before, then says he is running out of competition and competing against himself. Suddenly, Chad Gable shows up and says the two of them had a main event for the ages last week and that he is still feeling it tonight, then congratulates Gunther. Gunther tells Gable to enter the ring and says what he wants to say to his face. Gable then says that he saw the look in his eyes and on his face and that it told him everything he needed to know, and that out of everyone he defended his title against, nobody came as close as he did. He also says he saw the look on his entire family's faces after the match, and says that Gunther caused the tears his youngest daughter cried and announces that he now has a fire under him that will not burn out until he makes this right. Gable proclaims that he has beaten Gunther once and that he will beat him again, and he does not know where or when he will do it, but he will get another shot at the Intercontinental Championship and he swears to God that he will win the title and put a smile on his daughter's face.Gunther asks Gable if he wants to drag his family out to the beating of his life again and use his children as bait, and says that while Gable is a great wrestler, he is a terrible father. Gable punches Gunther, but Kaiser and Vinci grab Gable so Gunther can slap him. Otis runs to the ring and overpowers Kaiser and Vinci, but is taken down by Gunther. Gunther and Gable continue to brawl, and Gunther chops Gable before Kaiser and Vinci gang up on Gable and Otis. Suddenly, Tommaso Ciampa runs out with a chair and chases Imperium out of the ring.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Drew McIntyre is approached by Xavier Woods, who says he is more confused about Drew talking trash about Kofi Kingston. Drew says he has a lot of things on his mind and was hoping Kofi would talk to him man-to-man, but Woods stops him and chalks it up to jealousy due to Kofi winning the WWE Championship in front of 82,000 fans while McIntyre won it in an empty building. Drew says he does not want to hurt Woods, but if he is so anxious to get beaten up, he has his match, and what will happen to him will not be an accident.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Alpha Academy (Chad Gable, Otis, Maxxine Dupri) and Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa says that WWE official Adam Pearce told him to seize his moment, and that there is no bigger moment than Gunther celebrating his Intercontinental Championship reign. Gable says he hates Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci) and that this is not over by a long shot. Otis proposes that they and Ciampa face Imperium face them in a six-man tag match.

Drew McIntyre beats Xavier Woods.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes heads to the ring. Before Cody can talk about "Main Event" Jey Uso, however, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh show up. Dominik says he wants to talk about how happy he is that Cody brought Jey to Raw and how Jey is going to join The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) and make Cody look like a fool. He also says that once Jey is in The Judgment Day, it is going to be amazing, and that there will be nothing Cody can do about it while messing with Cody's tie. Cody punches Dominik, then Dominik and McDonagh gang up on Cody. Cody sends McDonagh over the top rope and hits Dominik with the Cody Cutter, then hits McDonagh with the Cross Rhodes before doing the same to Dominik.

Backstage, "Main Event" Jey Uso is met by Drew McIntyre, who says that he wants to finish business with him before he finishes business for tonight. Drew says Jey cannot stand on his own two feet and that The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) must sound pretty good, but Jey dares him to pull up next week. McIntyre takes this as a challenge and accepts.

"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler beats Chelsea Green by countering the Un-Pretty-Her with the Exterminatus. After the match, Piper Niven brawls with Baszler, then Zoey Starks shows up and annihilates Piper Niven with a kick to the face before Baszler takes out Chelsea. He asks if the fans remember the things that he has done, for the road to his success is lined with the bodies of those that trusted him. He says Rollins believe the weak exist to be consumed by the strong, and calls Rollins a manipulator, a deceiver and a lair who brings shame upon his family and has no remorse, then says he will strip him of his title and expose his lies. He then says he will challenge Rollins when he feels like it.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins heads to the ring. Rollins says he is a manipulator, a deceiver, a liar and everything Shinsuke Nakamura claims that he is, but he is also a father, a fighter, and the World Heavyweight Champion. He admits that for a long time, he did not know who he was and he tried everything in order to figure it out, and says that nothing worked. Rollins then says that he created a facade to hide from himself, but he found out that he had to be himself. He says that people love him not because he is a good guy or a bad guy, but because he is himself, and that this is why the people sing his song. Rollins says that the fans are why for the first time in his life, he can look in the mirror and into his daughter's eyes and be proud of the future. He then says he came here to fight, not to talk, and while management is telling him to slow down and not burn himself out, he was not built that way and that he is a workhorse who needs to run free. Rollins talks about how he called Nakamura out for a World Championship rematch only for Nakamura to say no, and while Nakamura was able to walk out of Payback and he was not, their match took more out of Nakamura than he is letting on. He then says that if Nakamura wants to play games, they can play games, and if Nakamura wants to do this on his own time, there is no better place and time than here and now. Nakamura's entrance theme hits, but Nakamura fails to show, and he is seen attacking Ricochet backstage. Nakamura says Rollins has bad timing and that while he could fight, he thought Rollins was not medically cleared, so he fought someone else. He attacks Ricochet again, then says he will not take Rollins' title today.

Backstage, "Main Event" Jey Uso is approached by Finn Balor, who says that they are both professionals and what happens in the ring stays in the ring. He mentions Jey superkicking Kevin Owens and approves of it, then says McIntyre is not a fan. He then says The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) are fans, however, and for him, the doors to The Judgment Day are always open.

Backstage, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) meet regarding "Main Event" Jey Uso, agreeing that the more isolated Jey is, the more likely he will join. Rhea Ripley then says that she will handle her business just like The Judgment Day handles theirs.

Backstage, Tiffany Stratton meets with WWE official Adam Pearce wanting to know where Becky Lynch is. Becky shows up so they can sign the contract for the NXT Women's Championship match. Stratton says she has been nothing but respectful towards Becky, but wants to know why she is coming after her. Becky says she has been forced to keep her eye on her after showing up on her show to show off her championship, and while Stratton could be the future, Stratton is concerned about material things. She then signs the contract while Stratton says she does not need Becky to be famous, then Stratton signs.

Rhea Ripley retains the Women's World Championship against Raquel Rodriguez in a match where "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio is barred from ringside after Nia Jax suddenly returns and attacks Raquel on the outside. After the match, Nia Jax headbutts Rhea Ripley and leg drops her on the bottom rope before hitting her with the Banzai Drop.

Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman show up to start tonight's show. Heyman says that Roman has allowed him to shed some light on recent history, for two weeks ago, Roman Reigns wrecked everyone and left as Universal Champion. Heyman also says that last week, Jey Uso stepped up and became the only beneficiary of a Fatal 4-Way and become #1 contender for the WWE Universal Championship; for that, Roman has bestowed him the honor of introducing Jey Uso. Jey Uso shows up, and mentions that he has love for Heyman, as he has history with his family. He thanks Heyman as he states that he will face Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Clash of Champions. Heyman tells Jey that he does not owe him any thanks, and that all credit is due to Roman. Roman then tells Jey he does not have to thank him, as they are blood, and they have thought for years about this. He says that Jey earned this and that the family is proud of him, and that Jey is going to have his moment and take a huge payday home to his family, then tells him he will "whup his ass" just like when they were kids and that he has to stay champion to keep the family where it is. Jey says that they are not kids anymore and that things are different, then King Corbin shows up. Corbin says that the Fatal 4-Way was a set-up all along and that Roman pulled a few strings to get a hand-picked opponent for his very first title defense, and that opponent happens to be Jey Uso. He accuses Roman of nepotism, saying it makes him sick. He says there is nothing that makes him more sick than seeing someone abuse their own power, than Sheamus shows up and says he has to agree with Corbin, saying the whole situation "stinks" and that the match should have been a Triple Threat Match. As Sheamus says he should have had time to prepare, Jey Uso cuts him off and propose they have a tag team match between "the blood and butt-mud." Sheamus charges at Jey only to get tossed out of the ring, then Jey lays out Corbin.

Sami Zayn is in the production truck, insisting he is the real Intercontinental Champion as he touches buttons on the controls and abruptly cuts the show to black.

Before the next match, Sami Zayn interrupts the opening ring announcement, stating the next match is not for the Intercontinental Championship because he is the champion and that WWE saw fit to crown a new sham champion when he took a few months off for personal reasons. Adam Pearce then shows up with two members of security to escort him from the building, and Sami Zayn insists he is the real champion as he is forced to the back. Meanwhile, Styles takes advantage of the situation to hit a cheap shot.

Bayley shows up with a steel chair, and she lifts it into the air near the bottom of the ramp before entering the ring. Bayley then sits in the middle of the ring, and after a video package of recent events leading up to Bayley's betrayal of Sasha Banks, Bayley says everyone is asking how Sasha is doing but not her. She also says that she enjoyed every single second of her betrayal of Sasha, then says she knows Sasha is watching and tells her she is not an idiot and that nobody knows her better than she does. Bayley says that Sasha was waiting for the perfect moment to strike and wanted to keep her close by pretending to be her best friend only to use her, and says she knows that because she was using Sasha to become a double champion like Sasha did. She then says she is a grand slam champion and the longest-reigning SmackDown Women's Champion thanks to Sasha, whom she says is now useless to her. When Nikki Cross walks down the ramp for the next match, Bayley walks by her only to turn around and smash her steel chair into Nikki's back.

After the commercial break, medical staff check on Nikki Cross, who decides to go on with the match. When Lacey Evans shows up, she tosses her skirt at Nikki.

Backstage, Otis tells Tucker that the Money In The Bank contract is in the big briefcase along with another lunchbox. Meanwhile, The Miz - stating that there is a loophole in every contract - and John Morrison find out they have Otis' lunch - and an apple core - again. Miz then gets on his cellphone to call for a favor.

It's time for Firefly Fun House. Bray Wyatt says that thanks to Roman Reigns, the WWE Universal Championship is gone again, then says that how one handles loss defines the person you will become. He then introduces the newest friend in the Firefly Fun House, who has went through so much to be here: Pasquale the Persevering Parrot. After opening a box, there is nothing but silence before Bray finds out Pasquale is dead. Bray says he should cut holes in the box, then comically throws the box away before the Vince McMahon puppet shows up and says that Bray has lost his trust in running the Fun House on his own, then introduces a new special advisor. A walrus in a suit pops up and introduces himself as Wobbly Walrus. After the Vince puppet says "This is such good shit!", Bray says "Oh, no!"

Jey Uso and Roman Reigns beat King Corbin and Sheamus. Once again, Roman does not show up at the beginning of the match, which ends up being a two-on-one handicap match until Roman shows up as Sheamus is about to Brogue Kick Jey Uso. After Jey Uso hits the top rope splash on Sheamus, Roman hits Sheamus with a Spear to win the match.

Thorne says Gargano's speech is not necessary and that Gargano has to have the spotlight on him, and while Gargano is a pillar of NXT, NXT will be just fine without him. He then says that with the right person in the spotlight, it will be even better. Thorne then tells Gargano to take a bow and take a walk, but Gargano says he's not going anywhere and superkicks Thorne. Generation NXT UK - NXT UK recap for September 11, 2019

Imperium (Walter, Fabian Aichner, Marcel Bathel, Alexander Wolfe) shows up to start tonight's show. Barthel states that their arrival in NXT UK was necessary, as their champions - just like their country - are a sign of weakness, and while they may not comprehend how they do things, the people will respect their rules, teaching and ways of life. Wolfe says they are here to protect the honor of the mat and the sport, and if the people are not willing and decide to reject them, they will experience pain and suffering and they will fall. Walter states that at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff, Imperium disposed of Tyler Bate and British Strong Style, and that there is no one left to step up to "this group of supreme athletes." Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown Live recap for September 11, 2018

WWE has a moment of silence and a ten-bell salute to commemorate the 17th anniversary of the September 11th attacks to start tonight's show.

Before the next match, Jeff Hardy says that demons are all around us, tempting us, taunting us and tearing us apart at times. He has had his share of demons, but he stands before the fans a better man. He says they will always be around and the only way to deal with them is to tackle them head-on. On Sunday, he will deal with one in the form of a serpent in Hell In A Cell, and while Randy Orton may think he will inflict pain, he does not know an opponent like him who has dealt with his own personal Hell. While Orton may be a demon, he is a daredevil, and he has no fear. Jeff says he has prepared his entire life for this, and he will unleash an entire lifetime of suffering, pain and agony on Orton until he fades away and classifies himself as obsolete. As for tonight, he cleanses himself of a demon of his recent path in "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura. After this, he is going straight to Hell.

Jeff Hardy beats "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura by disqualification. After the match, Randy Orton rams Jeff Hardy's head into the steel steps outside of the ring, then grabs a steel chair and smacks it into his back. Orton continues to hit Jeff Hardy with the steel chair, then lies in wait for the RKO. Jeff Hardy sees it coming and goes for the Twist of Fate, but after Orton escapes it, Jeff Hardy hits Orton with the chair. Jeff Hardy hits the Twist of Fate on Orton followed by the Swanton Bomb.

Kayla Braxton interviews The Miz and Maryse. The Miz cuts Kayla off, and says that tonight, his wife is taking the spotlight, and he demands a little respect by having Maryse's name announced first. Maryse says it took Daniel Bryan three years to get back in the ring, and that it took her five months after giving birth to come back. She is ready to go out there tonight, make Miz proud and show her daughter how to punch Brie Bella in the face. The Miz then calls Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan's marriage "a marriage of convenience," as he needs Brie Bella to fight his battles and cannot possibly fluster his wife.

We see footage from earlier today where "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles says that Samoa Joe knows his temper is his greatest temper, and that the easiest way to get him to lose it is to involve his wife and daughter in their feud. He knows that Joe wants to get into his head to get an advantage, but after 20 years of friendship, he knows a lot about Joe, too. He knows about Joe's family, and between the two of them, he would never mess with another man's family due to his integrity. He says that Joe's strength are running his mouth, intimidation and being a piece of garbage, but that will all be his weakness as nobody will have the upper hand on him and the talking will stop and the intimidation will end. Styles says that Joe has gotten a taste of what happens when he talks about his family, and on Sunday, he will learn how phenomenal he is, as SmackDown Live is the house that he built. He says that it is not for rent, and he is "for damn sure" that it is not for sale.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Charlotte Flair. Charlotte has asked for a match tonight because she thrives on competition. She says that unlike Becky Lynch, she doesn't just talk about it; she does it. She says that Becky is the one with the opportunity and the one who is insecure, not her, and that Becky will learn it is easier to talk the talk on Sunday. She hopes that Becky is watching tonight.

We get a closer look at Seth Rollins, courtesy of Just For Men Control GX shampoo.

We see a video package chronicling the events leading up to Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship in a Hell In A Cell Match at Hell In A Cell (even though it all took place on Raw).

Charlotte Flair beats Sonya Deville with the Figure Eight. After the match, Charlotte takes a selfie with some fans, and one of them attacks her. It is none other than Becky Lynch in disguise, who puts Charlotte in the Dis-Arm-Her.

We hear from Samoa Joe, who reads a book called "Night Night AJ." Once again, he talks about AJ Styles' family as well as how he will destroy him at Hell In A Cell for the WWE Championship.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interivews Becky Lynch, who simply tells her that she will break Charlotte Flair's arm after she takes her title at Hell In A Cell.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) guest on commentary on their own commentary table for the next match.

A disguised Kofi Kingston - as "Kramer Kingsman" - is about to interview Sheamus and Cesaro, but Sheamus and Cesaro head to the ring in the background.

Rusev and Aiden English beats The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) after Aiden English takes a Brogue Kick for Rusev to earn a match against The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Hell In A Cell.

We see a video package chronicling the events between Alexa Bliss and "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey for the WWE Raw Women's Championship at Hell In A Cell (which is, once again, another Raw package).

Andrade "Cien" Almas beats R-Truth after grabbing the jean shorts during the roll-up as Carmella pulls Zelina Vega off the apron.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Asuka. Suddenly, Naomi shows up wanting to know why Asuka helped her last week. Asuka says The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) are mean, hard to understand and fun to punch. Naomi and Asuka leave after some comedic banter between each other, during which Naomi confused the world "kagayaki" (a Japanese word meaning "to shine") with "teriyaki."

Brie Bella beats Maryse by disqualification in what is Maryse's first match on SmackDown Live in over eight years. During the match, Brie grabs the microphone and tells Maryse that she always knew she was a little coward. Miz grabs a microphone, taking offense to that statement, and says Brie doesn't deserve to be in the same ring as Maryse. Miz then says that Brie - and the entire city they are in - do not deserve this match, and says this match is over. He says that he and Maryse will see her and Daniel Bryan at Hell In A Cell. As Miz and Maryse leave, Brie runs up to Maryse, sends her back to the ring and goes on the attack. The match ends with The Miz dragging Brie out of the ring during a Yes! Lock. Daniel Bryan goes after The Miz, and as he does, Brie is suddenly hurt by The Miz, and The Miz attacks Daniel Bryan from behind as he checks on Brie. Maryse then attacks Brie Bella from behind, but Brie fights back with a Lou Thesz Press. Miz gets back in the ring, but Brie sees him coming. Maryse goes for a French Kiss DDT, but Daniel Bryan attacks The Miz after Brie reverses the DDT. Brie punches Miz in the face, then Daniel Bryan clotheslines Miz out of the ring.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 11, 2017

The show starts with a moment of silence in recognition of the World Trade Center attacks of September 11th, 2001 and in tribute to those who lost their lives in the attack. A brief message is shown on the TitanTron.

It is announced that Brock Lesnar is here tonight, and that Braun Strowman will take on John Cena tonight.

Roman Reigns beats Jason Jordan. John Cena is seen watching the match from backstage during the match. Jason Jordan and Roman Reigns shake hands after the match after Roman eschews it at the beginning. Charly Caruso interviews John Cena, who says he has something to say to Roman in the ring.

After the commercial break, John Cena shows up as Roman Reigns waits in the ring. He hands Roman a microphone, and says he is excited to hear what Roman has to say. Roman says he was having a great match with Jason Jordan - who gave him as much trouble as Cena - and that having great matches is something Cena knows nothing about. He says he has had more great matches in two years than Cena has had in his entire career. Cena tells Roman that he has skill, but he has his head up his ass like a one-man human centipede and that he does not run the place like he thinks he does. Cena also says that nobody has cut Roman down to size yet, and that is why he is here. Cena says he is not spinning things; instead, he is challenging himself every day to try everything, and says that Roman says and acts like he feels like he has made it in the WWE. Cena goes on to say that once you feel like you've made it in something, that is the beginning of the end, and that Roman will learn what real failure is all about. He has come out week after week to take Roman to school, and Roman keeps on failing. He says that "the guy" steps up, not fails over and over again, and if Roman really was "the guy," he will get up, dust himself off and take him at No Mercy, which he says will be a cakewalk at this point.
