Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 3, 2023

Triple H heads to the ring to start tonight's show. After praising WrestleMania for living up to its name, he thanks every performer that has ever graced a WWE ring and put their body on the line every single week and the staff and crew that make WWE's events possible, those behind the scenes for making the spectacle of what WWE does possible, and of course, the fans. He says that when WWE makes the news, that is all everyone wants to talk about, and says that the WWE that everyone loves and put over 160,000 to the rafters last weekend is going nowhere and they will be there week in, week out, venue after venue, because they are WWE, then, now, forever and together. Triple H then asks the fans to help him acknowledge one more person: Roman Reigns, who shows up with Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa. Triple H shakes hands with all three men as he heads to the back and they head to the ring. After Roman demands that Hollywood acknowledge him, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes shows up. Cody says he knows what he wants to talk about and admits that today is turning out a lot differently than he and a lot of people thought it would, then acknowledges that Roman was the better competitor. Cody also states while the world is watching, he knows Roman knows Roman has skated by on many matches and that he had Roman. Cody then says that he already knows what to talk about and that it is all down to one word: rematch. Roman lets Heyman speak, and Heyman says he was thinking on behalf of Roman when exactly Cody would like this "hypothetical" rematch. Cody bluntly proclaims "Tonight." Heyman says "No rematch, not tonight, not in Puerto Rico, not at SummerSlam, not at Survivor Series, not at Royal Rumble, not at Madison Square Garden, not at San Francisco." As the crowd chants "Bullshit," Heyman says this is called "calling the shots" from living on the island of relevance, but Cody says he is not in a normal mood for that after last night, and if Roman refuses to do a rematch, they can do a tag team match and at least do something. Heyman consults with Roman, then declares that he has been authorized by the Tribal Chief that his challenge is accepted, assuming that the partner - someone who wrestled this past weekend is willing to team with him - forfeits any chance at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. After Heyman mockingly asks Cody who he wants to talk about now, Brock Lesnar shows up. Roman gently holds Solo Sikoa back before they and Heyman leave the ring.

Omos quickly beats Omos.

Backstage, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) meet with Paul Heyman. Heyman says that Roman Reigns has stepped outside to talk to Solo Sikoa about strategy and that Roman appreciates their contributions last weekend and that the food on the plane is ready. After The Usos leave, Paul Heyman re-enters Roman's locker room, and he can be heard saying "I took care of it, my Tribal Chief."

Cathy Kelley interviews Bad Bunny at the front row. Bad Bunny says he is happy to be the host of Backlash in Puerto Rico this year. He says that tonight, he is just enjoying the show as the fan, but he is grateful for everything.

Rey Mysterio heads to the ring. Rey says that this has been an emotional week after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and thanks the fans for welcoming him with open arms and making this possible, and thanks Bad Bunny for the help last night. Suddenly, Austin Theory shows up and says the both of them deserve a little respect, as they both did what they said they would do at WrestleMania after he beat a legend and Rey beat "the product of his own bad parenting." The crowd chants "You tapped out!" as Theory says the difference is because Rey is too busy correcting the past, and says the fans tapped out because they didn't believe in him like Dominik Mysterio did not believe in Rey. He then says that John Cena told him that the fans would eat him alive tonight, then asks the fans where it is at before saying he does not suck because he beat John Cena, which leads to a "Cena" chant. Theory says Cena is not here because he is a part-timer, then says that the fans should be cheering Rey's name at the top of their lungs because he is just like Cena, and that he will beat him too and make him part of the collection. Rey tells Theory that all he will be collecting is his teeth after he hits him with the 619. This starts a match.

Austin Theory beats Rey Mysterio after Rey knocks an interfering Dominik Mysterio off the ring apron. After the match, Dominik hits Rey with mounted punches, then looks and points at Bad Bunny before confronting him at the front row. Dominik turns away, then Bad Bunny punches him when he goes for the cheap shot. Damian Priest then grabs Bad Bunny and throws him over the barricade, telling him he should not have gotten involved. Bad Bunny shoves Priest, then decks Dominik again before Priest lays him out. Priest then clears the announce table before choke slamming Bad Bunny, despite Corey Graves warning hm that this will cost him a lot of money. Dominik then gets in the ring and stomps Rey Mysterio before leaving with Priest. Rey then checks on Bad Bunny along with members of Bad Bunny's entourage, and Rey has to call for paramedics.

Backstage, WWE official Adam Pearce chews out Damian Priest for striking Bad Bunny, but Priest tells him that if Bad Bunny was not really his friend, Pearce would really have a reason to be angry.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn head to the ring. As the fans chant "You deserve it," Owens declares that they deserve the tag team titles but that the fans deserve them, too. The fans then chant for Sami, who says that it has been a crazy year for him, having gone from a match with Johnny Knoxville to becoming a tag team champion, and thanks the fans for making this possible. Sami then states that he knows that Los Angeles loves to celebrate, and Owens says that while this is pretty good, nothing says celebration like a good fight and giving his all. He also states that there are those in the locker room who want to make a name for themselves against the new tag team champions, then lays down an open challenge. The challenge is answered by The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford). Montez Ford congratulates Owens and Sami for winning the tag team titles, then Angelo Dawkins that he and Montez are also coming off a WrestleMania victory. Montez says they have put down stamp after stamp, but nobody knows their names.

The cast of Bel-Air on Peacock is seen in the crowd.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn beat The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford).

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Rollins says he is feeling good after hitting "The Stomp Heard 'Round To The World" and sending Logan Paul and KSI back to the wasteland of social media, then says something about tonight is missing and realizes that the party is in the ring. Seth Rollins then heads to the ring. After the commercial break, everyone is still singing Rollins' entrance theme as Rollins leaves.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Bobby Lashley. As he mentions not having a WrestleMania match, Bronson Reed shows up and says they are like uncle and nephew and that Lashley taught him how to lose, and that the student will eventually beat the teacher. As Lashley wants to fight Bronson, Bronson says that school is out tonight and that Lashley will eventually learn his lesson before leaving. Mustafa Ali then shows up and says that Lashley needs to learn how to think "positive-Ali" and not take no for an answer. Lashley comes to the conclusion that he should change his thinking and should not take no for an answer, then take someone into the ring before beating them up and make that someone Ali, which he does, much to Ali's surprise. Lashley then throws Ali around and throws him into the ring, starting an impromptu match. The match end in seconds after Lashley makes Ali tap out to the Hurt Lock.

Backstage, Roman Reigns asks Paul Heyman if The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) are gone. Heyman says they have gone to the jet, then Roman asks Heyman if he knew that Brock Lesnar would be here. Heyman says this is usually when Lesnar takes six to nine months off, then Roman asks how this could happen. Heyman says that he had no idea that Lesnar would answer the challenge despite not getting another chance at the undisputed title, and that Lesnar has nothing to lose. Roman says he will smash Lesnar and Cody Rhodes again, then he will tag Solo Sikoa so they can see who is ready now.

Bianca Belair heads to the ring. Bianca says that she is still Raw Women's Champion, and that he cannot be "The EST" without stepping into the ring, and that Asuka is definitely one of the best and most dangerous women she has stepped into the ring with. After thanking Asuka for pushing her to be the toughest she can be, Rhea Ripley shows up and says Bianca walks around calling herself "The EST" when she is the luckiest in WWE after she decided to challenge Charlotte Flair instead of her. She promises Bianca that they will get back to this and that she will beat her like she beat Charlotte at WrestleMania, then Bianca says Rhea made her decision for a reason and she wants to get in the ring with the best, including Rhea. Bianca tells Rhea that one day, when Rhea is ready, they will really see who is the best of the best. Rhea leaves the ring as if she is looking forward to this, then Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan show up for the next match.

Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan beat Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky) to earn a shot at the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

The Miz is in the ring. Miz says he was hoping not to take on four people in three matches, especially after being surprised by Snoop Dogg, then says WrestleMania is over and that he is done with surprises. Suddenly, Matt Riddle returns for the first time in months. Suddenly, Matt Riddle returns for the first time in months. After Riddle asks the fans if everyone missed him, The Miz hits Riddle with a cheap shot and stomps him in the corner, then Riddle lays Miz out and hits him with the Bro Derek.

It is announced that Bad Bunny has been taken to a local medical facility for a separated shoulder.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interview Becky Lynch, Lita an Trish Stratus. Trish says being involved in a multi-generational face-off and beating Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky) was amazing, and Lita says that she is still on a high and that the three of them are just getting started. Becky says that after nine months of dealing with Damage CTRL, she can think of no better thing to do than elevating the women's tag team titles and beating Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan next week.

Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa vs. "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar ends as soon as it begins. When the match begins, Brock immediately hits Cody with two F-5s, steps on Cody's throat, then hits him with a release German suplex before running him into the barricade. After a vertical suplex into the timekeeper's table, Lesnar rings the ring bell before hitting Cody with a chair and throwing it into the ring. Lesnar then takes the ring steps and smacks them right into Cody, then throws them into the ring. He then hits Cody with another F-5, this time into the announce desk, and chases WWE official Adam Pearce away before getting Cody back in the ring and sending him into the ring steps with a fourth F-5. Lesnar then stands over a downed Cody on the ring steps before pretending to leave, turning around, chasing officials off, grabbing a chair and hitting and choking Cody with the chair. Lesnar then finally leaves the ring, and officials check on Cody. As paramedic bring out a stretcher, Lesnar comes back and flips off everyone in the ring to end the show.

Here are the highlights for tonight's show!

Edge tells Finn Balor that he has his WrestleMania match, then says he needs to accomplish what he needs to do before he runs out of time, then admits that Finn made The Judgment Day better after pulling them from under him. After mentioning everything that The Judgment Day has done to him while making his life a living hell, he announces that there is only one way for this to end: a WrestleMania match inside Hell In A Cell. Finn Balor says he has been in Hell before and that it spit him out because it could not handle his demons, then tells Edge he will see at WrestleMania before sicking Dominik, Rey and Priest on him. As The Judgment Day gang up on edge, Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae and Dexter Lumis jump in to help Edge and fight The Judgment Day.

The Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest) beat Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Cathy Kelley gets an interview with The Miz. Chad Gable shows up looking for Otis, and as Miz says he does not travel with pets like Gable does, Gable gets the idea of making flyers. All of a sudden, as Miz is asked about the idea of a WrestleMania co-host, Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky) are seen attacking Trish Stratus.

Omos and MVP head to the ring. After the commercial break, MVP says that Brock Lesnar is a terrific athlete but a terrible tactician for putting his hands on him and accepting a match against Omos at WrestleMania, then Lesnar shows up. Omos gently sends Lesnar out of the ring, and referees and officials stand between Lesnar and Omos.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes beats LA Knight. After the match, Cody says he keeps hearing warnings from Paul Heyman that he should stay out of Bloodline business, but he does not work for them, and if he wants to stand alongside Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens, he can do that. He also says that Heyman has said not to make this personal, but it has already been personal since he came back and has wanted to be somebody. Cody says he acknowledges Roman Reigns, but Roman needs to acknowledge him. He says that he has been a prince in the industry, but he has had no crown, and on April 2nd, when the sun goes down on Hollywood, it is going down on Roman Reigns' generational run when he becomes Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Rollins says that last week, Logan Paul acted like he won the lottery after landing the shot of a lifetime on his chin and knocked him down, but Rollins says no one can keep him down. Suddenly, The Miz shows up, and Rollins tries to scare him before The Miz says that Rollins lost control of the narrative before telling him that Logan Paul will conduct a live in-ring version of Impaulsive and that he expects to be invited as a guest. Baron Corbin shows up wanting to be The Miz's co-host for WrestleMania, but Miz says he does not have that much pull. Corbin offers Rollins some boxing lessons, but Rollins declines, saying he'd rather take lessons from his baby daughter. Corbin then says he has tried everything, and that he might as well beat up Rollins for his WrestleMania spot. Rollins takes this as a challenge, accepts, and leaves. Miz tells Corbin that if he can handle Rollins, he can put in a good word for Logan.

Bronson Reed beats Elias.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley is interrupted by Chad Gable, who is looking for Otis. Becky Lynch and Lita shows up, but Cathy Kelley cannot get any answers regarding Trish Stratus' condition.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Kevin Owens. Owens says he has asked for help and has needed it for a long time but never got it, but when Sami Zayn asked for help, he did not want to help due to their history. As for "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, if he wants to help Sami, that is fine, but he does not need Cody's help, either. He tells Cody to focus on WrestleMania and that he does not want to see him out there, and that he will continue to keep fighting on his own.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Austin Theory is met by The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford). After Montez calls Theory a choke theory, Theory says that he got what he wanted last week, then wants to know who the tougher member of The Street Profits is. He then says that it is not Montez Ford, because he is a big bag of jokes who comes up short when given an opportunity, and while Montez has the smoke, all he does is choke. Dawkins says John Cena will humble Theory at WrestleMania, but he will do it tonight. Theory then says The Street Profits are doing nothing at WrestleMania before laughing and leaving.

Austin Theory beats Angelo Dawkins. After the match, Theory puts Dawkins in the STF to send a message to John Cena, then gets away when Montez Ford runs towards the ring.

Backstage, Cathy Kelly is interrupted by Paul Heyman, who says that The Bloodline has a Kevin Owens problem and that they will demonstrate that they solve their problems with violence with Solo Sikoa. He then says that the truth will imprison "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes into thinking it is personal with Roman Reigns, and calls Cody's acknowledgement of Roman a mockery before giving Cody a chance to really acknowledge him next week when Roman returns to Raw. Heyman then says that when Cody Rhodes acknowledges Roman Reigns, it will decide is Cody is a challenger or a problem that Roman Reigns would love to solve personally.

Rey Mysterio heads to the ring. Rey admits it feels good to be back on Raw and says his 20th anniversary celebration felt like yesterday, then says that now, they are celebrating the biggest moments of his life, and that his Hall of Fame induction is not just for him, but for the fans who helped build his career. Dominik Mysterio shows up and congratulates Rey for making it into the WWE Hall of Fame and says he deserves it after putting his entire life in the business at his expense. He asks Rey how it feels knowing that he went so many nights without having a father, then chews him out for no-showing his eighth grade promotion to be at WrestleMania and buying him a BMW when all his friends got Mercedes. Dominik calls Rey a sad, ugly excuse for both a father and a man, then challenges Rey to a match at WrestleMania. Rey says he does not know how many times he has to tell him that he will not fight him, as he still loves him and always will, and that there will be no match. As Rey walks away, Dominik tells Rey to do what he always does and run away like he did from him and his family through the years, as all Rey taught him is what not to be.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Becky Lynch, Lita and Trish Stratus. Becky says Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky) will get their heads kicked in, Lita says Damage CTRL should have finished the job, and Trish says that Damage CTRL should have hit harder and that they just pissed her off.

We see Rhea Ripley in a commercial for WrestleMania 39.

The Miz guests on commentary for the next match.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins beats Baron Corbin after throwing Corbin into The Miz at the announce table and leaping off Miz's back to hit Corbin with The Stomp for the win.

Backstage, Chad Gable continues to look for Otis when he is met by Mustafa Ali. Mustafa says he has not seen him, and as Mustafa tells him to be positive, Gable sees Maximum Male Models (Maxxine Dupri, Mace, Mansoor) do a photo shoot with Otis. After Mansoor says that Maximum Male Models' match is next week after he broke a nail, leaving them cosmetically uncleared to compete, Gable poses with Otis, but Mansoor says that Gable's grossness broke his camera, and Maxxine Dupri says that Gable is nowhere near as attractive at Otis. Shortly after Maximum Male Models leaves, Otis leaves with them, too, much to Gable's sadness.

Bianca Belair beats Chelsea Green. After the match, Bianca blocks an attack from Carmella and tries to fight off both her and Chelsea Green, but the numbers game takes over until Asuka gets in the ring and kicks Chelsea in the face. Bianca and Asuka then lay out Chelsea as Carmella runs away. Asuka then picks up the Raw Women's Championship and dances around with it before faking spitting blue mist at Bianca and finally handing her the title as she laughs.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 27, 2023

Before the next match, Jimmy Uso says it may look like there are cracks in The Bloodline, but family fights all the time. He says that if someone comes for one member of The Bloodline, they will get them all, and that nobody has one up on them. As he says that he and Solo Sikoa are here to remind everyone who runs Raw, The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up. The Street Profits mock Jey Uso's absence and mention that there are cracks in The Bloodline's armor, and Jimmy Uso says they talk a lot of trash for someone The Bloodline bodies, and tells them to keep Roman Reigns' name out of their mouth. The Street Profits then say that they want the smoke, and this leads to a brawl where The Street Profits come out on top.

Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa beat The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford). After the match, Solo and Jimmy continue to attack The Street Profits, then Solo gets a chair and wraps Montez's head around it before going for the hip attack. All of a sudden, Solo is superkiced by Kevin Owens, who also gives Jimmy a Stunner.

Brock Lesnar heads to the ring. After Lesnar makes himself comfortable on the couch, MVP shows up and says this was not what he had in mind. Lesnar apologizes for being early, then says he has no beef with MVP and that he is all about business. Lesnar then says he is here to listen to MVP and sell the fans on a fight between himself and Omos. MVP asks if he does not have to worry about being taken to Suplex City, to which Lesnar responds "No suplexes tonight." MVP gets in the ring, then Lesnar says there is nothing that MVP can do to insult him before asking MVP to hype a match with Omos to see if they can do business. MVP says Lesnar is "the Beast Incarnate" and that the second Lesnar puts his hands on a man, that man has no chance. He then says he had his hands full with Omos and says that when he puts his hands on a giant, the giant puts his hands on him back. He says a beast will destroy any man, but a giant can subdue and conquer a beast, and while Lesnar can destroy any man he wants, he will not be able to do that to Omos. Lesnar laughs and admits that MVP did a good job on hyping the match up, then tells MVP that was "damn good" and that he accepts his challenge. He also says they should shake on it and drink on it, then both of them look at the WrestleMania sign while Lesnar makes it official. Both men shake hands, then MVP is about to open the bottle in the ice bucket when Lesnar produces a whiskey flask. Lesnar says they should have "the good stuff" if they are going to make this official, then he drinks from the flask. MVP goes for the champagne, but Lesnar insists on the flask, asking "You don't intend for me to drink alone, do you?" After finding out that a drink called "White Lightning" is in the flask, MVP takes a swig, then spits it out in Lesnar's face. Lesnar is unfazed as he cleans his face with MVP's handkerchief, then he hits MVP with the F5.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Lita and Becky Lynch. Lita says that some of her favorite career highlights have been among legendary tag teams, so to walk out as a tag team champion is a true bucket list check. Becky admits this is also a good bucket list item despite the fact that she does not play well with others, and one way or another, she and Lita will walk out tag team champions.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes beats Chad Gable (and messes with Otis before the end of the match by getting him to look at a woman in the crowd). After the match, Cody addresses his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match with Roman, then says that Roman will be on SmackDown this week and that he will be there, too.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Baron Corbin. Corbin says it has been no secret that things are not going his way, and that he has heard what people are saying. Byron Saxton then notices Kevin Owens and cuts the interview short, then interviews Owens. Owens says that other people are suffering the consequences for their actions, and that he wants to see The Bloodline fall and that he does not want or need any help doing that.

We see Bianca Belair and Montez Ford re-enact a scene from Titanic for WrestleMania Goes Hollywood.

We hear from The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) backstage. Dominik Mysterio mentions what happened between himself and Rey Mysterio last week, then says he and Rhea Ripley will be there next week for their heart-to-heart talk and that Rey will not be able to do anything afterwards. Rhea Ripley then says that last week, she looked into Charlotte Flair's eyes and saw acceptance, as nothing Charlotte could say or do could keep her from accepting her fate, and that she will become the new SmackDown Women's Champion. Finn Balor it is over between him and Edge when he says it is over, and if Edge accepts his challenge, they will end it once and for all at WrestleMania.

Backstage, Maximum Male Models (Maxxine Dupri, Mansoor, Mace) meets with Otis. Maxxine Dupri asks Otis if he has considered her offer, and says that if he were to have a match tonight, they can be in his corner tonight. Otis likes the idea, and heads to WWE official Adam Pearce for a match.

Before the next match, Nikki Cross is behind Candice LeRae, and Candice notices.

Candice LeRae beats Piper Niven with a stack-up pin after Nikki Cross charges at Piper Niven.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Johnny Gargano. Gargano mentions that he has a match tonight after Otis ran up to him wanting some "hot action" tonight. He says Otis beat him a few months back, then The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) shows up. After Gargano calls Priest "an adult going through a goth phase," Priest admits that Johnny Gargano has "a pair of stones" after he laid him out in the Elimination Chamber, and as Priest decides to lay him out again, Finn Balor stops Priest and says that Otis will flatten him and that if he does not get the job done, he will finish it himself. Gargano responds "Sounds delicious. I'll see you next week."

It's time for a WrestleMania edition of Miz TV. Miz mentions his ninth wedding anniversary with Maryse as well as the gift that Maryse gave him, and to announce this gift, he brings out tonight's special guest: himself. Miz announces that he is the host of this year's WrestleMania and proclaims it will be bigger than the Grammys and the Oscars, and that this year's WrestleMania will go viral. He runs down the card so far for this year's event, then Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up. Miz angrily asks Rollins what he is doing here, and Rollins laughs before congratulating him and saying he is not here to rain on his parade, but Miz says Rollins has done exactly that for the last three weeks. Rollins says he only stomped him because he was being a bit of a jerk and "being a bit of a b-hole." Miz says he is an A-type of person, not a B-type, and when Rollins asks if Miz is admitting he is an "A-hole," Miz says that is not what he meant. Rollins then says he has a favor to ask of him, as he has been trying to get a hold of Logan Paul and it has been proven difficult, and thinks Miz might have better success calling him as he knows him better. Miz declines, saying Logan Paul is Rollins' problem, not his. As he calls Rollins "a goofball in a stupid jacket," Rollins superkicks him. Rollins then notices Miz's cellphone and takes a picture of The Miz with it before tossing a chair out of the ring before getting a hold of Logan Paul and asking how Jake Paul is doing before proposing that Logan face him on Raw next week. Logan says they have a deal and that he would love to see him run his mouth, then Rollins says "Bye bye, bitch!" before hanging up on him. As Rollins leaves, he notices The Miz trying to get up, and he hits Miz with The Stomp.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky). Bayley says she is glad Becky Lynch and Lita are confident, as Damage CTRL has been everywhere and proving that nobody is a match for them. She then says this is more about championships, but also about their story. After Damage CTRL shows up, Austin Theory shows up and says everyone is talking about John Cena, not him, and that the fans only like his image of hustle, loyalty and respect when he is the image of it. He then says that he respects Cena and that he will look Cena in the eye and give him the respect he deserves, and all he asks is that Cena give him the same treatment.

Bobby Lashley beats Elias with the Hurt Lock as Rick Boogs is taking notes on the match backstage. After the match, Lashley says that he is not in a good mood right now, because he owned Brock Lesnar at Elimination Chamber and Lesnar resorted to a low blow. He says that he wants more of Lesnar, but instead, he gets Bray Wyatt and his "kid games." Lashley says he does not play "little kid games," and warns Bray to keep his name out of his mouth, or else he will hurt him. As Lashley leaves, Bray Wyatt shows up on the TitanTron and does the Muscle Man Dance as images of Lashley are shown throughout. Bray then warns Lashley that he should run.

WrestleMania 39 is 33 days away!

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 6, 2023

Edge and "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix head to the ring to start tonight's show. Edge says that he is back for The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio), which he admits is his fault. He says the idea was to elevate talent he felt truly deserved it, and it worked, and all of its members are in a better spot than they were a year ago. He then says that while Finn Balor did not have what it took to make him quit, he was forced to quit when the rest of The Judgment Day held his wife hostage and made him feel helpless. Edge mockingly golf claps for The Judgment Day, who he says made a bad problem even worse, because he is a "cruel, vindictive, sick bastard" who will sink to any level to get his pound of flesh. Beth Phoenix then tells The Judgment Day that if they have the stones, they are here to finish things. Suddenly, The Judgment Day - minus Rhea Ripley - show up. Finn Balor says they have beaten Edge down time and time again and that it is time for Edge to quit, then Dominik Mysterio says word on the street is that he has served hard time since Edge has been gone. He then tells Edge and Beth to run along before he does to them what he did to his "deadbeat dad," then Damian Priest tells Edge and Rey are something else and that they keep beating them down only for them to keep coming back. He threatens to make what happened at Extreme Rules look like child's play if he gets back up again, then says that after Angelo Dawkins is cooked and he qualifies for the Elimination Chamber, he will become United States Champion again. Dominik Mysterio then says he wishes Rhea Ripley was here so she could see what they will do to him, but Edge tells them to shut up and says that The Judgment Day do not know what they want, as they drop each other while he and Beth have each other's backs. Beth then says the only reason Rhea Ripley really is not here is because she Speared her soul out of her body, then says she is here to beat Rhea's ass. She then says that since Rhea is not here, she and Edge can fight Finn and Rhea at Elimination Chamber. Dominik accepts on Rhea's behalf, and Finn also accepts, then says that assumes Edge and Beth make it to Elimination Chamber. The Judgment Day then surround the ring, but as they go on the attack, Angelo Dawkins runs into the ring and fights Damian Priest just before their Elimination Chamber qualifier. After Edge hits Damian Priest with a Spear, Montez Ford shows up and throws Dominik into the ring so that Beth Phoenix can hit him with a Glam Slam.

Damien Priest beats Angelo Dawkins to qualify for the United States Championship Elimination Chamber Match. In footage from before the match, WWE official Adam Pearce forces the match to be one-on-one by banning everyone except Priest and Dawkins from ringside.

In footage from earlier today, Austin Theory arrives at the arena in a black Lamborghini.

Backstage, Maximum Male Models (Maxxine Dupri, Mace, Mansoor) are now official members of Raw. Chelsea Green then shows up wanting to know why she is not in the women's Elimination Chamber match and threatens to call WWE Adam Pearce's manager before demanding an opportunity. After the match, Lashley confronts the ref, and when another referee gets in the ring, Lashley inadvertently hits him. He then says he was extended an invitation by Sheamus' team on SmackDown and could not turn it down, then says he has returned the favor and is not here alone before The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, Butch) head to the ring through the crowd. Suddenly, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) show up, and Rhea Ripley says the only thing people will be talking about after Saturday is how many women she destroys, then tells Sheamus' team that they are lost and are on the show that they run. Dominik Mysterio tells Sheamus' team to also say hello to his "deadbeat dad," then Finn Balor says he is here to collect and that he hopes The Bloodline wins. He also says that The Judgment Day will not be so nice if they show up on Raw again. Sheamus tells Finn Balor he does not respect as he is the sort of "plastic patty" that he has come to despite. Finn Balor says even salt looks like sugar and that he is "one salty Irish bastard." Sheamus says he has no problem facing Finn Balor one-on-one, but proposes The Judgment Day face The Brawling Brutes. The Judgment Day accepts. Both teams brawl in the ring, but The Brawling Brutes quickly come out on top.

Kevin Owens guests on commentary for the next match.

The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, Butch) beat The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio). During the match The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) and Mia Yim - now known officially as Michin, despite repeatedly being called "Mia Yim" by Corey Graves - show up to watch the match from the stage. After the match, Damian Priest and Finn Balor brawl with The Brawling Brutes, then Gallows kicks Priest in the head. Finn Balor is frozen in the middle of the ring when Kevin Owens appears behind him and hits him with the Stunner.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Johnny Gargano. Gargano says The Miz realized he could not beat him last week, so he has challenged him to a rematch tonight. As for Dexter Lumis, he wants The Miz to do the right thing and pay Dexter Lumis, but both men have agreed to handle their own business and Gargano wants The Miz one-on-one.

Before the next match, The Miz says he would love to have a rematch, but he injured his right hand while making a TikTok video by slicing his hand through a cactus. He then says the cactus did not survive, but he will and he will beat Dexter Lumis. He then says that since he could not compete and because Johnny Gargano wants to put on a show, he has found a suitable opponent: Omos.

Omos beats Johnny Gargano.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins is interviewed. Rollins says he has never felt better despite events from recent weeks, then reminds everyone that he asked for a Triple Threat Match for the United States title because he wanted to kill two birds with one stone. He says that one only survives a wild Bobby Lashley if one is prepared, and that while Austin Theory has lost everything and is more dangerous than ever, he is still the stupidest person on the face of the earth. He then goes on to say that Theory is stupid for jumping him from behind last week and trying to beat him at his own game, which he says does not work well for anyone. He then tells Theory to call Cody Rhodes and ask if picking a fight with him is a good idea, then says that the Triple Threat Match is going to be a war with three men who do not like each other going at it and ready to snap at any second. Rollins says he has dealt with brutes like Lashley and that he knows Theory because he was once like Theory, then asks what Theory and Lashley will do to prepare for him. He then says that regardless, he will walk out as United States Champion. Meanwhile, Theory is watching from backstage. Theory says nobody understands him and that hitting rock bottom is the best thing to happen to him, as he is not the kid he was once and is a new man who will be taken seriously, and after Saturday, the business will know what time it is. He says the disrespect ends here, and anyone who steps up gets sent home. Theory tells Lashley and Rollins to watch what he does to Mustafa Ali tonight, as it is a preview of what will happen at Survivor Series.

Austin Theory beats Mustafa Ali. After the match, Bobby Lashley shows up on the TitanTron and tells Austin Theory to stay in the ring so they can give the fans a preview of Survivor Series. After the commercial break, Bobby Lashley shows up and says he is surprised Austin Theory is still in the ring, then says that Theory will not stand in his way of the United States Championship even after he could not get the job done. Theory says he would be United States Championship if it were not for Lashley, then says he remembers Brock Lesnar kicking Lashley's ass before Seth Rollins beat Lashley for the title and Lashley lost to Lesnar again. He then says that Lashley is not getting in the ring with the same kid he faced and that he will walk into the ring Saturday and become United States Champion, and that there is nothing Lashley or Rollins can do about it. Lashley then says that there is no way Theory is walking out of the ring tonight before both men brawl. Theory hits Lashley with a chair, but it has no effect, and Theory runs through the crowd to the back while Lashley gives chase. Theory pushes a hurt Ali into Lashley, then Ali hits Lashley thinking Lashley attacked him before Lashley puts him in the Hurt Lock on the stage.

Elias and Matt Riddle beat Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis).

Backstage, JBL and Baron Corbin are playing poker and making fun of Albany, New York when Drew McIntyre shows up. JBL says that Corbin would have beaten McIntyre with him in his corner and that Roman Reigns will get his hands on McIntyre on Saturday. McIntyre then proposes they put that theory to the test and challenges Corbin to a match. Corbin says they can settle things right here, right now, and McIntyre says that he respects his elders, he does not respect Corbin, and hits Corbin with a cheap shot.

Drew McIntyre beats Baron Corbin after Akira Tozawa, now with blonde hair and his previous, non-ninja wrestling gear, shows up, steals JBL's hat and runs through the crowd.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) Styles says that emotions are running high as he and Finn Balor were close, but he has realized that The O.C. is his family and that this must come to an end. He says that he will give Finn Balor the beating he deserves and it will be phenomenal. Finn Balor then shows up and says that he is not the bad guy; he is worse and he is the devil, and when once dances with the devil, one never dances again. The rest of The Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) attacks The O.C., starting a backstage brawl. Security shows up as the brawl escalates outside of the arena.

Before the next match, Bianca Belair says that her, Asuka and Alexa Bliss' war with Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky) will come to an end at WarGames, and while she has won the battle, she has not won the war, and she cannot win it alone. She says that her team will win and that Asuka will give them the advantage. Alexa says she is ready for war and ready to throw Bayley in the trash where she belongs. Asuka says they are ready for war, but nobody is ready for them. Bianca says to wait and see who her team's fifth member is, and Asuka says Rhea Ripley is not ready for her. Bianca then says that when she makes her decision this Friday on SmackDown, nobody will be disappointed. Rhea Ripley shows up with Damage CTRL and Nikki Cross, and Bayley says that Bianca's team is either stalling or having a hard time finding somebody else who likes her, as nobody respects Bianca. Bayley brags about what has happened to Mia Yim as well as how Damage CTRL have gotten the upper hand, but Asuka tells her to shut up so that she and Rhea can fight. Rhea Ripley tells Asuka that she will eradicate her.

Rhea Ripley beats Asuka in a WarGames Advantage Match to give her team a one-person advantage in the women's WarGames Match. After the match, both WarGames teams brawl around the ring, then Mia Yim shows up and fights Rhea Ripley. After this, Asuka takes everybody out with a cross body from the top rope. Officials show up to check on everybody, then the show ends with a run-down of the Survivor Series card.
