Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) on their way out. The two of them state that they have receipts to hand out, and while Jey has nothing to say to CM Punk regarding his mentioning Roman Reigns' father, Jimmy says that they do, and they head back into the arena.
Bayley beats Lyra Valkyria, Raquel Rodriguez, Iyo Sky, Ivy Nile and Asuka in a WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender's Gauntlet Match. Raquel Rodriguez is eliminated after Liv Morgan distracts Iyo Sky only to be attacked and taken to the back by Stephanie Vaquer, allowing Iyo Sky to hit an inside cradle from the top rope for the win. Raquel attacks Iyo afterwards, throwing her into the ring post and hitting a Tejana Bomb on the ring apron, allowing Ivy Nile to pin and eliminate Iyo as soon as she enters the match. Bayley beats Asuka after Lyra Valkyria keeps Kairi Sane from attacking Bayley on the outside behind the referee's back, allowing Bayley to hit Asuka with a Rose Plant after rolling out of a sleeper hold to win the match and the title opportunity.
During the commercial break, Maxxine Dupri attacks Natalya during an interview.
Backstage, Danhausen meets with El Grande Americano I and tries to put his mask on. He then tells Danhausen to leave so he can focus, and Danhausen curses him before leaving. Los Americanos (Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano) are seen in the background, and they look like they are sneaking up on El Grande Americano I.
Penta heads to the ring. He thanks the fans, his friends, his family, WWE, and everyone who believed in him, including himself, as he knew that he would win the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which he dedicates to those who never gave up and "the fighters of the real life." He calls the championship the result of sacrifice and hard work, and states that together, he and the fans will make history before addressing his Mexican fans in Spanish. El Grande Americano shows up, but it is El Grande Americano II and not El Grande Americano I as expected.
Penta retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against El Grande Americano II.
We hear from Stephanie Vaquer. She says she has heard what Liv Morgan had to say and knows that Liv has learned as she could from the privilege of starting out in WWE, and that while Liv has all the tools to be great, she is too ignorant to use them, as she has others do her dirty work while clinging to Dominik Mysterio. Vaquer says that Chile made her who she is, and while Liv was forged by people around her with experience, she was forged in Hell. Vaquer says she and Liv took different road to get here, but they now both have the skills to be here. She says that Liv has gotten lazy, and that she can see more in Liv than Liv can see in herself. She says that Liv could be a great opponent, but Liv sees herself as a cheap blonde. Vaquer says that Liv takes the easy out to keep the championship, then tells her to bring everything she has, as she herself will bring everything she has to continue making history as Women's World Champion. Backstage, Liv Morgan is angry about what Vaquer had to see when Dominik shows up wanting to know where Finn Balor is. Dominik then heads to the ring.
Boxer Jose Valenzuela as well as members of the Seattle Seahawks are seen in the crowd.
The Judgment Day ("Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez) heads to the ring. Dominik demands a rematch for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, stating that he should be champion right now, but instead, Penta is walking around with his title. He blames this on Finn Balor, and while he wanted to do this privately, he now has to air this out publicly. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh show up and head to the ring. Dominik wants to know where Finn Balor has been, as The Judgment Day has been looking for him, and says that Finn Balor had better have a rematch set up for him. Finn Balor takes the blame for Dominik losing the Intercontinental Championship and apologizes. Finn says he was trying to teach Dominik that The Judgment Day is a family and that they will always have his back, and that in order to be the greatest Mysterio of all time, he must learn to fight his own battles. Finn says he has been trying to help Dominik for two years, but the more he tries to lead him in the right direction, the more he realizes that Rey Mysterio was right about Dominik being "a spoiled little prick." Dominik shoves Finn, and Finn hits a Pele Kick in response. McDonagh has to pull Finn off of Dominik. Finn eventually has to take down Dominik, and McDonagh hits Finn with a clothesline before Liv and Raquel attack Finn. Dominik grabs a chair, and Finn fights back only to eat a right fist from Dominik. Dominik then puts a ring bell hammer in his sneaker before going for and hitting the 619 on Finn. Dominik then hits a frog splash on Finn before grabbing the chair and handing it to McDonagh, who attacks Finn with it before referees try in vain to stop McDonagh from hitting the splash again on top of a chair that is on top of Finn.
Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce congratulates Je'Von Evans for his performance in the Elimination Chamber. Pearce leaves, then Grayson Waller and Kofi Kingston confront Je'Von. Kofi asks Grayson to let him speak with Je'Von alone, which Grayson does. Kofi admits that they started off on the wrong foot last time and that he can see a lot of himself in Je'Von, as he showed up with a lot of new moves and eventually became WWE Champion, and says that could be Je'Von if he has the right team around him. He tells Je'Von he does not have to answer right away, and that he knows he has dreams and that Je'Von does not have to do it alone.
Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Bayley and Lyra Valkyrie. Bayley looks forward to facing AJ Lee for the Women's Intercontinental Championship, and says she could not have gotten to this point without Lyra Valkyria. Lyra says that Bayley should become the next Women's Intercontinental Champion, and Bayley says that a lot of the locker room would not be here with out AJ Lee, who Bayley says it would be an honor to face in the ring. Bayley also mentions giving Lyra Valkyria the first shot at the title if she wins.
Oba Femi beats Rusev.
CM Punk heads to the ring. Punk says that Roman Reigns has never respected him during his entire career and that he will force Reigns to respect the position that he holds, and that championships are created to see who the best is. He says that the World Heavyweight Championship was created because Reigns shirked his championship duties and refuses to defend his titles, and says that he defends the World Heavyweight title because the fans deserve a fighting champion. Punk says that those who challenge him for the title are forced to level up, or else those who challenge him will be left confused and slack-jawed like Roman Reigns. He also admits that he lowered himself to Roman Reigns' level before The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) show up. Jey demands Punk apologize right now, but Punk wants to know why Roman is sending his cousins to do the heavy lifting. Jey says they were not sent and that he is here himself. Jimmy says this has nothing to do with Roman Reigns and everything to do with respect, and that he has a whole lot of respect for Punk for the kind of character that he is. He says that Punk can talk trash about Reigns all he wants, but he will not take the disrespect towards their late uncle. Jimmy then demands an apology. Punk mentions that his history with The Usos goes back further than people know, and admits that he did not know Sifa as well as he knew Afa, who he practically learned the business from in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He says that even Sifa could see how much of a conniving, backstabbing person Roman Reigns is, and Jey Uso stops Punk, just wanting him to say "I'm sorry." Punk says "I'm sorry," before saying he is sorry for how Roman Reigns treated his family and how he disrespected his mentor in Dusty Rhodes. He says that if Roman Reigns actually cared, he would be in the ring right now instead of his "young boys." The Usos shoves Punk down to the mat and leave to end the show.
