Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 27, 2026

General Manager Adam Pearce and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque are in the ring to start tonight's show as the Cell comes down. Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) are escorted to the ring for the official weigh-in for their match. Oba comes out first, followed by Lesnar and Heyman. Oba steps on the scale for his weigh-in first, and weighs in at 302 lbs. Lesnar and Heyman then arrive and make their way to the Cell for Lesnar's weigh-in. When Lesnar's police escort enters the Cell, however, Lesnar locks the Cell door, trapping Oba Femi in the Cell. Heyman announces there is a slight change of plans, as allowing Lesnar in the Cell is not a very good idea. Heyman calls Brock Lensar the most non-PG, most successful and most violent individual in the history of combat sports before telling Oba Femi that he is an underdog going into his Hell in a Cell match with Lesnar. Heyman says that Oba Femi will not beat Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell, then says that Lesnar stepped on a scale backstage and weighed in at 303 lbs. Lesnar then lays the key to the Cell on the floor to taunt Oba Femi, then tells Oba "I'll see you at SummerSlam, bitch!" As Lesnar and Heyman leave, Oba Femi takes his anger out on all of the police officers in the ring and attacks them. (Some of the police officers escoring Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar are played by indepedent wrestlers Lucas Riley, Dom Kubrick and Mathias.)

We look at "Chapter VI: Surprise," which chronicles Seth "Freakin'" Rollins vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2022 and their hatred for each other at the time.

The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, "Main Event" Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu) are seen arriving to the arena in two black SUV's.

WBC Welterweight World Champion Ryan Garcia is seen in the front row.

The Vision (Bron Breakker and Austin Theory) beats Alpha Academy (Otis and Akira Tozawa) after Logan Paul distracts the referee, allowing Theory to get the knees up to block Tozawa's top rope senton. After the match, The Vision continue to attack Tozawa, but Otis makes the save and stops Breakker from hitting another Spear. Maxxine distracts Otis as Otis goes up top, and Breakker and Theory powerbomb Otis out of the corner for a Bron Breakker Spear. On the way out, Theory grabs a metal folding chair and smacks Otis' head against the ring post with it.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews LA Knight. Knight says he is paranoid, as everything he has said would happen has happened, and at SummerSlam, he will be doing some fighting and putting The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, "Main Event" Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu) in a hole.

We hear from Raquel Rodriguez and Sol Ruca. Raquel says that Sol Ruca will not get lucky again and will not let the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship slip through her fingers. Sol Ruca says she knows what she is getting into and that Raquel will throw everything at her, but she has beaten her once and she will beat her again.

Comedian Fluffy, Hot Ones: Extra Heat host Sean Evans, All the Smoke Podcast host Matt Barnes, and "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart are seen in the crowd.

We see a video package of Chad Gable's road to SummerSlam.

We hear from Iyo Sky, who says that she has been in Liv Morgan's head since Queen of the Ring and that Liv is not as strong as she thinks she is. She says that Liv is not the greatest challenge of all time, which she has been in the presence of great champions and wrestlers that Liv pales in comparison to. Iyo says that Liv's arrogance will be her downfall and that Liv is scared to lose. She says she will prove Liv wrong again and face her for the World Women's Championship at SummerSlam, stating that she has beaten her once and she will do it again.

Je'Von Evans beats Rusev after escaping the Accolade twice.

We look at "Chapter VII: Old Ghosts," which chronicles what happened between Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

Joe Hendry and Danhausen perform a concert in the ring regarding their feud with The Judgment Day ("Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh). The Minihausens join in to dance and play tambourine, and "The Clipperhausens" (really the Los Angeles Clippers dance team) dance at ringside. WBC Welterweight Champion Ryan Garcia jumps the line and joins the ringside dancers before playing guitar in the ring. When Joe Hendry turns his back after noticing Garcia, Garcia hits Hendry from behind with the guitar before JD McDonagh and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio show up and lay out Danhausen. Dominik and McDonagh celebrate with Ryan Garcia.

We hear from Penta. He says that he is glad Chad Gable changed, but forgiveness does not erase the past and winning the International Championship will not earn him redemption.

Actor Harry Jowsey, actor and TV host Mario Lopez, actor and rapper O'Shea Jackson Jr., and actor Ashton Kutcher are seen in the crowd.

We see another vignette for Big Cass, who will return to WWE next week.

"All Ego" Ethan Page beats Rey Mysterio after blocking the 619 with the ring skirt.

We hear from Liv Morgan, who says that Iyo Sky does not understand who she is facing at SummerSlam. Liv says that everyone overlooked and underestimated her on her way to the top, and that she will do whatever it takes to stay there. She says she does not care about what people think; only the Women's World Championship, which means she has to care about Iyo. She says that Iyo is not in her head and that she is stronger than Iyo thinks she is.

Backstage, it is revealed that Danhausen and the Minihausens have been laid out in Danhausen's laboratory. General Manager Adam Pearce shows up and tells Danhausen to give the money back to "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, and Danhausen tells Pearce to put it on a pole for a match. Pearce makes a Human Monies on a Pole Match official for SummerSlam.

The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) head to the ring. Jey Uso warns LA Knight, Royce Keys and Solo Sikoa with a warning shot, then Solo Sikoa shows up out of the crowd and mocks them, saying The Usos started this by running back to Roman Reigns and that "the real Bloodline" had him in it. After Solo says that The Usos have no chance at SummerSlam, Jimmy says that Solo is just playing games before telling him to "run the play or else." Solo asks why he would come back to the family when he and everyone else loves where he is at, and tells The Usos that Roman Reigns can kiss his ass, then LA Knight shows up. LA Knight says his heart does not feel for The Usos' family drama and hopes that maybe they could patch it up before they pay penances for what they did to him and Royce Keys. He says that the talking is done, and he will see them at SummerSlam. Knight turns to leave, then turns around, takes off his jacket, and says he could walk down the aisle so that he and Solo Sikoa can stomp The Usos right now. Solo soon joins Knight in the ring, starting a tag team brawl that only escalates when Jacob Fatu shows up. Royce Keys soon arrives to even the numbers game, then brawls with Jacob Fatu. Jacob soon locks the Tongan Death Grip on Royce Keys before Solo breaks the hold and hits Jacob with the Samoan Spike. Knight hits Jacob with the BFT, and he, Solo and Royce stand tall in the ring.

We see a video package of a brief history of the Hell in a Cell Match.

Raquel Rodriguez beats Sol Ruca to become the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship! During the match, Roxanne Perez runs out to the ring and is taken out by Sol Ruca. Liv Morgan shows up and yanks at Sol Ruca from the outside behind the referee's back, and that allows Raquel to hit a big boot. Iyo Sky shows up and goes at it with Liv Morgan, hitting her with the Bullet Train Attack into the ring post. Sol Ruca then goes for the Soul Snatcher on Raquel only to be yanked down by Roxanne, and Raquel hits the Tejana Bomb for the pin, the win and the championship.

We see "Chapter VIII: The Grandest Stage," which chronicles Seth "Freakin'" Rollins' World Heavyweight Championship win at WrestleMania 41.

Roman Reigns heads to the ring. Before the fans can acknowledge Reigns, however, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up and heads to the ring. Rollins demands that the fans acknowledge him, and Reigns calls him an asshole. Rollins says that this is how he gets his, as some other people get things handed to them while people like him have to grind to survive. He admits that Reigns is everything he says he is and everything WWE wanted him to be, and while Reigns has an edge over him in so many departments, he will never be better than him at professional wrestling. Rollins says that when it comes to what goes on in the ring, he owns Reigns, and when it comes to what goes on inside Reigns' head, he owns Reigns there, too. He says that Reigns can call him an asshole, but he cannot call him a liar, and SummerSlam will not be any different. He says that Reigns can need to beat him all he wants, but he will not stand a chance. Reigns states that he is "the only true Superstar" and "the only true champion" around here, and that he meant it when he said that he needed to beat Rollins, and says that the whole industry needs him to beat Rollins. Rollins says it is funny what they need and that Reigns needs this so badly, then addresses Reigns needing his family to be there to see Reigns beat him as well as how he cashed in on him at WrestleMania 31 and sent him and his family home in tears. He then hopes that Reigns' family is there on Sunday so he can see them cry again after finding out that their father is a fraud, a loser and "forever Seth Rollins' bitch." Reigns punches Rollins in the face and attacks him. Reigns soon hits Rollins with the Superman Punch followed by the Spear, then grabs a metal folding chair and tries to hit Rollins with it only for Rollins to recover and hit Reigns with The Stomp.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 20, 2026

The Vision (Bron Breakker and Austin Theory) beat Je'Von Evans and Dragon Lee. After the match, The Vision beat down on Je'Von Evans until Alpha Academy show up and brawl with The Vision. Maxxine gets in the ring and slaps Otis, but Otis is unfazed, and Otis continues to take the fight to The Vision after Maxxine retreats. Alpha Academy then tear down the announce table for a powerbomb on Theory, but Bron Breakker saves Theory with a Spear. Otis gets in the ring, and Maxxine watches from the top of the ring post as Otis gets Speared.

Backstage, The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) gang up on Danhausen, demanding their money. Danhausen demands that he be let go so he can find the money, and Dominik Myserio gives him thirty seconds.

We see another vignette for Big Cass, who is identified this time while reports of his out-of-the-ring activities are referred to in the vignette. We hear a voice talk about how even when one reaches the top, there is no telling how far one can fall.

Danhausen heads to the ring with a leather briefcase, presumably full of human money. Danhausen says he thought he took care of The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) at Saturday Night's Main Event, yet they still want their human money back. He says he does not want the money, but he does not want them to have it, either, and declares that he is giving it to the fans. The Judgment Day show up demanding their money, and Danhausen curses them before trying to run away only to be attacked. Suddenly, Joe Hendry shows up and makes the save for Danhausen, but Liv Morgan is able to get the briefcase.

We see "Chapter III: The Cash-In," chronicling "The Heist of the Century" in Seth "Freakin'" Rollins' Money in the Bank cash-in from WrestleMania 31.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce confronts The Judgment Day Liv Morgan, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) and is joined by Danhausen and Joe Hendry. JD McDonagh finds out that the money is fake, and when he tosses the leather briefcase away, he hits Oba Femi, who wants to destroy McDonagh. Pearce puts McDonagh and Oba Femi in a one-on-one match, and when Dominik complains that it is not fair, Pearce puts him in a match with Joe Hendry later tonight. Pearce then forces The Judgment Day to the ring.

Oba Femi quickly beats JD McDonagh after General Manager Adam Pearce forces "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh to the ring before Danhausen and Joe Hendry show up and send Dominik and McDonagh into the ring.

Solo Sikoa suddenly heads to the ring. He admits that he should not even be on this show, then proposes that Seth "Freakin'" Rollins meet him in the ring now. Rollins heads to the ring and wants to know if they are talking or fighting, and Solo says he is here to talk and not to fight. He knows that Rollins is focused on Roman Reigns, then says it is not just Rollins against Reigns, but the whole Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, "Main Event" Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu). He says he knows what they are going to do because he was a part of it and that they are going to make sure he does not win against Roman Reigns, then says it does not have to be like that and that he can watch Rollins' back at SummerSlam. Rollins says that Solo makes a lot of good points and is open to the idea, then asks Solo to let him think about it. Solo stops him, saying there is nothing to think about and that he could do for Rollins what Rollins himself did for "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. Jacob Fatu shows up, and Solo Sikoa retreats as Jacob threatens to dog walk Solo. When Jacob turns towards Rollins, Rollins superkicks him, then leaves.

Chad Gable and Penta beat "All Ego" Ethan Page and Rusev by disqualification with an ankle lock from Gable to Rusev after Penta leaps off Rusev's back to hit Ethan Page with a Mexican Destroyer.

We see "Chapter IV: The First Encounter," when Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and Roman Reigns squared off for the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank 2016.

Backstage, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins finds Jacob Fatu and dares Jacob to hit him only to mention that he is under strict order from Roman Reigns not to lay a finger on him. Rollins asks if he gets Jacob's services after he wins, and Jacob says that while Rollins got one up on him, it will not happen again, and that if there is anything left of Rollins after SummerSlam, he will beat his ass.

We hear from Paul Heyman, who hypes up Oba Femi vs. Brock Lensar in Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam, saying that Oba Femi is overrated and that Lesnar's unbeaten streak in Hell in a Cell will not be broken. He admits that Oba Femi has had the greatest rookie year on the main roster since Brock Lesnar, but says that Oba will not be able to beat Lesnar in Hell in a Cell, and that Oba's rookie year will come to a violent end.

We see "Chapter V: Back Together," where Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and Roman Reigns got The Shield back together. Rollins says this reunion never felt quite right, and Reigns calls it lost time before becoming the Tribal Chief that he will never get back.

Joe Hendry beats "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. During the match, Danhausen shows up and tries to curse Liv Morgan, but Liv punches him. Later in the match, Danhausen shows up with Iyo Sky, and Iyo Sky beats Liv Morgan up. As this goes on, Danhausen hits Dominik with the Triple D behind the referee's back, giving Hendry the win.

Before the next match, LA Knight talks about his SummerSlam match briefly, then mentions Solo Sikoa trying to help Seth "Freakin'" Rollins earlier tonight. Knight admits that he could not believe what he was seeing and that Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship makes him sick, saying that Roman was booed year after year until he was everything the fans wanted him to be. Knight says that he is not just what Roman Reigns wanted to be, but everything the boys in the back wanted Reigns to be but could not make happen. Knight says he is willing to team with Solo for one night, but he draws the line at allying with Rollins. Knight says that he wants The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, "Main Event" Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu) destroyed at SummerSlam so they are not a factor later on, then makes some Mortal Kombat references as he states that Jacob Fatu cannot stop him.

Jacob Fatu beats LA Knight. During the match, Jimmy Uso shows up, but Solo Sikoa shows up behind Jimmy from the timekeeper's area. Both Jimmy and Solo brawl on the outside, and Jacob hits Solo with a tope suicida. Jimmy goes for a pop-up Samoan Drop on LA Knight, but Knight slips out and hits the BFT just as Jimmy Uso starts distracting the referee. Royce Keys shows up and attacks Jimmy, then "Main Event" Jey Uso comes out of the crowd and superkicks Royce. Jacob then hits the top rope moonsault on Knight for the win. After the match, Jey, Jimmy and Jacob decimate Solo, Royce and Knight before raising a finger in the air to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 13, 2026

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar head to the ring to start tonight's show. Five police officers show up to stand between the ramp and ringside in case Oba Femi shows up. Heyman says he has gotten the police involved because of Oba Femi, who he says turned down a guaranteed title match against either world champion because he is obsessed with Lesnar.He goes on to call Oba Femi "a stalker" and "the biggest dummy [he has] ever seen in his entire life," and while he is used to people being obsessed with Lesnar only to get hit and not be as obsessed, but now, Lesnar is now obsessed with Oba Femi. Heyman says that this scares him half to death and that Lesnar mentions it whenever he calls him, then says that he wants to protect his money, as that is what an advocate does, and has asked for a no-contact clause for the SummerSlam match. He then announces that he has went to a local judge and has gotten a restraining order on both Lesnar and Oba. He then asks Oba cannot come within 100 feet of Lesnar, and asks that Lesnar abide by his restraining order, for "this Beast is a law-abiding citizen." Oba Femi's entrance hits, and Oba shows up on the stage. The police officers get in the ring and stand in front of Heyman and Lesnar in a line. Oba says he is here for a fight, and demands an explanation for the police officers. Heyman tells Oba that he is in violation of a restraining order, and Heyman and Lesnar leave as an officer tries to arrest Oba. That officer gets decimated, as does the rest of the officers, then Oba wants to know what games Lesnar and Heyman are playing at and wants to know where "The Beast" is, saying he used to run the place but just runs away. He then tells Heyman that if he went for a title shot at SummerSlam, he and Lesnar would have cost him anyway. Oba says that at SummerSlam, there will be no more games, and Lesnar will not be able to run from him.

We see "Reigns vs. Rollins, Chapter 1," which focuses on Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins' time in The Shield (Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Reigns).

Iyo Sky beats Roxanne Perez after countering a pinfall attempt with a roll-up. After the match, Iyo fends off Liv Morgan, but Roxanne hits Iyo with a chop block. As Roxanne and Raquel Rodriguez gang up on Iyo, Sol Ruca runs into the ring and makes the save. Raquel soon slams Sol Ruca into the barricade and the ring post, and when Iyo Sky gets up and notices that Sol Ruca is down, Liv Morgan runs into the ring and hits Iyo with the Ob-Liv-Ion before smacking her in the face with the Women's World Championship.

The Vision (Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, Maxxine Dupri) head to the ring. Maxxine Dupri is credited by Logan Paul with helping Bron Breakker and Austin Theory win the World Tag Team Championships back, then Alpha Academy (Otis and Akira Tozawa) suddenly show up. Tozawa asks Maxxine if they can talk, and Maxxine asks the rest of The Vision to leave the ring, which they do. Tozawa asks Maxxine what she is doing, as this is not like her, and says that Theory is all wrong for her. Maxxine says she still loves Alpha Academy, but they gave her a choice, and the crowd chants "You sold out!" Maxxine mentions Alpha Academy telling her that if she was going to be with Theory, she could not be with them, and as Maxxine says that Otis and Tozawa do not know Theory, Otis says that Theory is bad news. Otis says he has known Maxxine for a long time, and that he has to get something off his chest. Theory laughs and finds this funny, as does the rest of The Vision, and takes this as Otis confessing his feelings for Maxxine. Theory implies that Otis is ugly and says the fans cheer him because they are losers like him, then says that people like Otis do not end up with people like Maxxine and that Maxxine is with him now. Theory then mocks Otis' size as he tells Otis to stay away, and Otis tosses Theory into the ring only for a brawl to break out between The Vision and Alpha Academy. Otis soon gets the upper hand and squashes both Breakker and Theory in the corner, then clotheslines Breakker out of the ring. Maxxine has to stand between Otis and Theory and tells Otis they can fix this, and as Maxxine is about to kiss Otis, Theory hits Maxxine with a low blow. Maxxine tells Otis that there is nothing between them, then Theory attacks Tozawa, who soon fights back only to be nearly broken in half with a Spear by Bron Breakker. Maxxine then hands brass knuckles to Austin Theory, who uses the knuckles to punch Otis in the face before holding Otis down for another Bron Breakker Spear. Maxxine and Theory then poses with a boot on Otis' chest.

It is announced that this year's Survivor Series will take place in Houston on Saturday, November 28th, and that tickets will be on sale the morning of Friday, August 7th.

Jimmy Uso vs. Royce Keys - which is started by Jimmy Uso looking for Solo Sikoa only to be attacked by Royce Keys during the commercial break - ends in a no-contest. During the match, Jacob Fatu shows up at the arena and makes his way through the crowd to the ring to attack Royce Keys. After the match, Jacob brings a metal folding chair into the ring and hits Royce with it before wrapping it around Royce's head. All of a sudden, Solo Sikoa shows up to tell Jacob Fatu to stop. Solo tells Jacob that he understands now, saying that he was lost and he left his family, and that he was being stupid. He says he always knew that blood is thicker than water, and that he is coming home to The Bloodline. Solo Sikoa then raises a finger in the air, and Jimmy and Jacob soon join him. His finger then switches to a thumb, and Solo hits Jimmy with the Samoan Spike before brawling with Jacob. Royce Keys fights Jacob Fatu, who sends Royce into a superkick by Jimmy. Jacob then locks the Tongan Death Grip on Solo before LA Knight's entrance hits. LA Knight gets in the ring with a metal folding chair and sends Jimmy sailing over the top rope before hitting Jacob in the back with the chair to no effect. Jacob charges at Knight, and Knight sends him running after hitting him with the chair. LA Knight says he owes both Jimmy and Jacob, and tells them to get in the ring if they still want a piece. He then wants Jimmy and Jacob in this ring along with "Main Event" Jey Uso, as he realizes he does not have to do this by himself. Knight then challenges The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and Jacob Fatu to a six-man tag match against him, Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys at SummerSlam.

Backstage, The Vision (Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, Maxxine Dupri) are met by Paul Heyman, calling their recent actions "a vision for the future," then says that Maxxine Dupri was so magnificent tonight that he then says "What the hell do you need me for?" before walking off.

We see a video package giving a brief look at the 30-year history of Hell in a Cell.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce is met by Oba Femi. Pearce tells Oba Femi that the restraining order and police officers from earlier were all fake and mind games. Oba Femi says that Heyman and Brock Lesnar are scared, and that they will be even more scared at Hell in a Cell.

Bayley is in the ring, and she asks Lyra Valkyria to join her, which Lyra does. Lyra's appearance looks somewhat disheveled with her shirt torn as she enters the ring. Bayley then hands Lyra a microphone. Bayley says that they could be honest with each other and hopefully apologize, but Lyra says Bayley should be the one apologizing to her for holding her back for a year. It becomes obvious Lyra is not even wearing make-up. She says that Bayley stabs people in the back and that she has also been stabbed in the back, yet she does not make it her entire personality. Lyra says that she lied about everything she made her feel better, and tells her that she is a doormat. She says that she does not belong on the posters, that she is not a locker room leader, and that she is "the worst of the Four Horsewomen." Bayley says she knew this was a mistake, and that Lyra is not as special as she thinks she is. Bayley lists off her accomplishments before telling Lyra she will add to it by beating her ass at Saturday Night's Main Event. Lyra goes for a cheap shot, starting a brawl. Lyra then hits a Bayley-to-Belly to lay Bayley out.

We see "Reigns vs. Rollins, Chapter 2," which mentions the break-up of The Shield (Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns) and the immediate aftermath.

We see a vignette where it is revealed that a man who looks like Big Cass is coming back to WWE on August 3rd.

Chad Gable beats Joe Hendry, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, Je'Von Evans, Rusev and "All Ego" Ethan Page in an WWE Intercontinental Championship #1 contender's Gauntlet Match. Dominik Mysterio is eliminated after Danhausen shows up as Dominik is about to eliminate Je'Von Evans. Danhausen curses Dominik, yet the pyro comes out at the wrong ring post. As JD McDonagh confronts Danhausen, Je'Von Evans hits the OG Cutter on Dominik to eliminate him. Dragon Lee is eliminated following a counter into a roll-up by Je'Von Evans. After the match, both men show respect, then Rusev shows up from behind Je'Von and shoves Je'Von into Dragon Lee. Je'Von Evans is eliminated by Rusev by submission following three Accolade attempts. Rusev is eliminated following a Victory Roll by Chad Gable, and Rusev puts Gable in the Accolade afterwards until "All Ego" Ethan Page arrives. Gable beats Ethan Page and wins the match and the title shot by submission with an ankle lock after catching Ethan out of the air and keeping Ethan away from the ropes. After the match, Penta meets Gable in the middle of the ring, and both men shake hands.

General Manager Adam Pearce is in the ring to oversee the contract signing for Seth "Freakin'" Rollins vs. Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. Reigns is introduced first, followed by Rollins. Rollins is not traditionally introduced, however; he shows up almost as soon as Reigns is seated and signs the contract as soon as he takes his place at the signing table. Rollins says that some things are certain in life: death, taxes and Rollins beating Reigns every single time. He then tells Reigns to sign on the dotted line and get it over with. Reigns says that he listened to what Rollins had to say last week and that Rollins proved he is "The Tribal Chief's #1 hater," which leads to a "He's a hater" chant. He then says that Rollins is sitting there laughing about it when it is the only thing he is number one at, as Rollins has everyone believing the both of them are at the same level, which could not be any further from the truth. Reigns says that at SummerSlam, he will beat Rollins and show what number one really looks like, then signs the contract. Rollins hands the contract to Pearce and owes Reigns a debt of gratitude for keeping the World Heavyweight Championship warm for him until SummerSlam, then says he will see Reigns the next time he decides to show up for work. As Rollins leaves, Reigns asks Rollins where he is going and asks Rollins what will happen if he beats him at SummerSlam. He asks Rollins if he is going to carry the World Heavyweight Championship for a couple of months and get hurt again, as that happens every time. Reigns says that some would say it is self-sabotage, as some men cannot handle the weight and the pressure of being the top guy. This causes Rollins to head back to the ring and confront Reigns, who pokes at him. Rollins dares Reigns to say what he has to say and not to hold back, and Reigns says he will say it because everyone thinks it. He says that Rollins is still number two because after all these years, he still needs a Money in the Bank briefcase to become champion. He also says that Rollins had to fake an injury just to use it, and says that if there is ever a time to be Rollins to be number one, it is now, as Paul "Triple H" Levesque is "running the joint." Reigns says that WWE gave Rollins "all [his] stuff" and Rollins is still number two, and that Rollins will always be number two while he will always be number one. Rollins asks Reigns "Is that all you've got?" and are dares Reigns to tell him how he will never be as good as he is, and that anything Reigns want to tell him, he has told himself for the last fifteen years. He says that they are not fighting the same fight and that he has had to look in the mirror and be proud of what he fights for. Rollins then says he is glad he is not Reigns before punching him in the face and attacking him. Reigns stirs as Rollins leaves the ring, and Rollins notices this and goes for The Stomp only for Reigns to get back up and hit the Superman Punch. Reigns goes for a powerbomb through the table, but Rollins hits Reigns in the head with a microphone, hits Reigns with a Pedigree, then The Stomp.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 6, 2026

Backstage, Sami Zayn arrives for tonight's show and meets with "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. Sami says that Cody thinks he will beat him, then tells him that this is not happening and that he is walking out of the ring as champion. Cody tells Sami that he will be the one that wins, and when Sami says "We'll see about that" and leaves, Cody is suddenly attacked by Gunther. Gunther then tells Sami that he, not Cody, is his problem now and that his championship victory is a fluke. He then says that he will come after him, then boots Cody into Sami's car and bloodies him up to show Sami what will happen when he does.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Rollins welcomes everyone to tonight's show in Chicago, Illinois, then everyone starts chanting for CM Punk. Rollins tells everyone that he could care less about Punk right now. Rollins states that his business is beating Roman Reigns and getting back the World Heavyweight Championship that he never lost at SummerSlam. He then says that Roman is not here either because he felt it not important to be here or "the check wasn't big enough." He says that Reigns has been "the chosen one" from day one and that nobody wants to hold him responsible. He goes on to say that The Shield debuted as a trio, yet it was clear that Reigns would be the chosen one. Rollins says that it did not matter how good Reigns was at anything, from cutting a promo to wrestling his way out of a paper bag, he would be the star. He says that did not sit well with him, and says that since he was a boy like the kids in the front row, he wanted to be a star. Rollins says that seeing his dream to be a star handed to someone else broke something in him. He felt that he and Reigns were running the same race, but now he knows he is mistaken. Rollins then mentions Reigns admitting that he worked ten times less than him and made ten times more than him with such bravado it made him want to puke. Rollins says it was not about the money or the mansion, but the work, the hustle, the grind and the ability to make something of himself. He says that Reigns has to beat him at SummerSlam because he needs to justify what he has been trying to prove to himself for the last fifteen years: that he is not a fraud. Rollins then says that he has to beat Reigns just as much to prove to his younger self that through hard work, sacrifice and dreams, one can achieve greatness. Suddenly, Rollins is interrupted by LA Knight. LA Knight makes his way to the ring, and Knight says that there is no way that he is going to listen to this again after boring everyone to sleep with Reigns two weeks ago, then says that Reigns and Rollins bloviate each other and talk about their greatness. He says that this somehow got Rollins a title shot, even though he lost in the first round of the King of the Ring Tournament just like he did, and says that the difference between himself and Rollins is that he is not making a claim for nostalgia's sake. Knight says that Rollins has had so many world title shots that he will not be able to catch him, then states that while business was picking up, he was the one on top. He says that while he made his climb, The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, "Main Event" Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn) and The Vision (Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Austin Theory) both cut him off. He says that Rollins and Reigns are trying to push him back down to the bottom, but they cannot do it, and says that while they are great at keeping people down, he will rise because he must. Rollins asks Knight if he is done, then tells Knight that while he does not like him, he does respect him, as he is a shining example of everything that he just described - hard work, grind, and hustle - and believes his time will come. He then says he cannot worry about Knight, for he must take back the title he never lost, and if Knight wants it, he can be the first person he puts in the dirt. As Rollins leaves, Jimmy Uso gets in the ring and superkicks Knight for talking about his family the moment that Knight turns around.

Backstage, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce kicks Gunther out of the building, and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis also shows up. This leads to both men arguing, and Aldis blaming Pearce for Cody Rhodes potentially being injured.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews The Vision. Logan Paul is about to speak when Paul Heyman arrives and shoes Cathy away. Heyman tells Breakker that he did not take out Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and Theory that he did not take out Joe Hendry, then tells them to come back with something worthy of him or not to come back to him at all.

The Vision (Bron Breakker and Austin Theory) beat The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) to win the World Tag Team Championships for a second time after Angelo Dawkins is about to use Logan Paul's brass knuckles as Logan Paul distracts the referee only for Maxxine Dupri to show up and hit Dawkins from behind with a low blow. After the match, Maxxine Dupri and Austin Theory make out at the bottom of the ramp.

Backstage, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes is at medical. Cody insists that he is fine, but the doctor insists that he needs some scans before he can consider clearing him after General Manager Adam Pearce shows up.

Backstage, The Vision (Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory) and Maxxine Dupri celebrate taking back the World Tag Team Championships. Paul Heyman shows up and says it is only the first step, but something has been accomplished tonight. Theory thanks Heyman, then says that he was referring to Maxxine. The Vision and Maxxine then leave in a black SUV. As this goes on, Akira Tozawa and Otis come out of hiding from behind, now knowing what Maxxine is up to.

Backstage, Liv Morgan says that The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) will do everything in its power to ensure Raquel Rodriguez walks out as Women's Intercontinental Championship. Raquel says that she will rip the title off of Sol Ruca and make the title hers.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Penta, who is excited to see who will face him next for the Intercontinental Championship when "All Ego" Ethan Page and Rusev. Ethan and Rusev brag about putting Rey Mysterio on the shelf, then Dragon Lee shows up to stand up for Penta. When Rusev tells Dragon Lee to learn English before he crushes him, Chad Gable then joins Penta and Dragon Lee, and Ethan and Rusev soon walk away.

Sol Ruca retains the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship against Raquel Rodriguez after Iyo Sky shows up and takes out both Roxanne Perez and Iyo Sky after they both get involved in the match.

Paul Heyman is in the ring. Heyman addresses Oba Femi, saying he walked into WWE like he owned the placed and sauntered to the ring until he was kicked in the groin by Brock Lesnar, then says that this will be nothing compared to the pain he will suffer inside Hellin a Cell. He says that Oba Femi has inspired, compelled and motivated Brock Lesnar to become "The Beast" and made the biggest mistake of his life by accepting Lesnar's challenge, then says Oba will not come out of Hell in a Cell when Lesnar destroys him. As Heyman leaves, Oba Femi makes his entrance so he can give Heyman a face to talk to. Heyman says he is valuable because he prevents people from making bad mistakes, and says Oba made a bad mistake. Heyman reminds Oba of who he is stepping into Hell in a Cell with Brock Lesnar by mentioning Lesnar's Hell in a Cell accomplishments, then tells Oba that he has entered "The Brocktagon," where he says Lesnar is unbeatable. He says that only one man will leave Hell in a Cell with their reputation intact as the truly unbeatable Superstar in WWE, and that the one man will be Brock Lesnar. Oba mentions that Lesnar showing up last week proved that everything he said about Lesnar got under Lesnar's skin and that Lesnar watches the show, then mentions that Heyman talks about how great Lesnar is and says that he is just "a mouth" for Lesnar. He says that mouths need to be fed, but one cannot be fed if one has no head, and says Heyman is only here because he is scared and because of damage control. Oba says that a man knows when his time has come, and that this is the end for Heyman and Lesnar. Oba says he will beat Lesnar in front of his family and his children, then says one must walk through Hell to get to Heaven and tells Heyman to tell Lesnar that he will see him in Hell.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Sami Zayn. When Sami Zayn finds out that "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes is no longer able to compete tonight, Sami is surprised, saying that while they have their differences, he does not wish ill on Cody, who he wanted to test himself against. General Manager Adam Pearce shows up and tells Sami Zayn to prepare to defend the WWE Championship, as he has promised a championship match tonight.

We see footage of El Grande Americano at the England vs. Mexico match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with AAA ring announcer Andrea Bazarte.

"All Ego" Ethan Page and Rusev beat Chad Gable and Dragon Lee by submission with an Accolade from Rusev to Dragon Lee. After the match, Chad Gable gets in the ring as Rusev refuses to let go of the Accolade. Gable deadlifts Rusev from behind only to be attacked by Ethan Page, and Rusev then puts the Accolade on Gable while Ethan goes on the attack. Joe Hendry shows up and fends off both Rusev and Ethan, but Rusev hits the Machka Kick on Hendry as Hendry goes for the Standing Ovation on Ethan. Ethan hits Hendry with the Ego-Plex, then Rusev puts Hendry in the Accolade. Officials have to get in the ring and make Rusev break the hold, but that nearly leads to Rusev going back on the attack.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Jimmy Uso as Jimmy makes his way out. Jimmy says it is time for him to step up, and that he will take care of Solo Sikoa on SmackDown. LA Knight shows up and confronts Jimmy only to be attacked by Jacob Fatu.

We hear from Bayley, who says that she watched Lyra Valkyria grow as a performer and also credits Lyra Valkyria with keeping her level-headed. She says that she never had a reason to question her trust in her after sharing everything with her, and cannot understand why Lyra could not just talk to her instead of taking the easy way out. Bayley then tells Lyra to meet her face-to-face next week.

Backstage, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce is on the phone when SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis shows up and tells him that he has secured a replacement for "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, and that this Superstar is in the building.

We hear from "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, who tells Danhausen that if he thought last week was bad, then he should wait until Saturday Night's Main Event, as McDonagh will dance on Danhausen's head regardless of who his back-up is. Dominik demands that Danhausen give them the money and uncurse McDonagh, or else The Judgment Day will make his life a living hell.

Sami Zayn's opponent is revealed to be CM Punk, who has not been seen since losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns.

CM Punk beats Sami Zayn to win the Undisputed WWE Championship for the third time, making him an eight-time world champion overall, after Sami Zayn is unable to hit the Helluva Kick and CM Punk hits Sami Zayn with a GTS. Sami Zayn's reign as Undisputed WWE Champion ends after just nine days, becoming the shortest reign since The Miz lost the title to Bobby Lashley in 2021. After the match, CM Punk celebrates in the crowd.

Dragon Lee beats Rusev when Rusev tries to re-apply the Accolade only for Dragon Lee to slip by and win with a schoolkid pin.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 15, 2026

Roman Reigns meets with The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) as he heads into the arena. As he three of them head to the ring, they are joined by Jacob Fatu. Eric Andre is seen in the front row in the corner between the ramp and the outside of the ring. Roman Reigns says that the four of them are feeling good, as Jey Uso has made it to the next level, and tells the fans to acknowledge Jey. Roman says there are people who are trying to poke holes and piss him off by seemingly only favoring Jey, saying that if it were not for Jimmy Uso, there would be no Bloodline. He then tells the crowd to acknowledge Jimmy.Roman then address Jacob for not wanting to The Usos. Jacob snatches the microphone from Roman and says that Roman is the only one that he acknowledges. He then slowly hands the microphone back to Roman. Roman says there is no need for "yes men" around here, then calls for somebody to bring a small wooden box with an ula fala in it. Roman takes the ula fala out of the box. Roman says that the locker room is getting scared and knowing that The Bloodline is taking over again, then says The Bloodline has always been here and will be forever, noting past accomplishments and achievements by past members of the Anao'i family. Roman then tells Jacob that he is no longer on the outside and that he is on the inside now, and welcomes Jacob to the family business and to The Bloodline. He then puts the ula fala around Jacob's neck, then all four members gradually raise one finger in the air. Eric Andre is acknowledged by commentary afterwards. When Eric Andre touches Jacob Fatu's ula fala after high-fiving Roman and The Usos on their way out, Jacob attacks Andre, and officials have to stop the beating. Roman gets back to the ring and has to tell Jacob not to do it, then changes his mind and has Jacob hit Eric Andre with the splash from the top rope. Just when it seems to be over, Roman has Jacob Fatu hit Eric Andre with one more top splash, and Jacob obliges.

Iyo Sky beas Raquel Rodriguez to advance to the Queen of the Ring Tournament finals.

Backstage, Liv Morgan says that The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez, JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) will be focusing on her and Dominik at this point. Roxanne says that Charlotte will not be at 100% on Friday. Liv Morgan then meets with Danhausen, hoping that he can curse somebody, but Danhausen wants to be part of Liv's music career in addition to wanting a lot of money. Liv walks away.

We see a video package of Danhausen and NBA Champions the New York Knicks, who went all the way after Danhausen uncursed them.

We hear from Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. He says that he brought Bron Breakker into his vision and tries to give him the world, but Breakker took his world from him. He says that Breakker took away the World Heavyweight Championship and months of his career that he will never get back, and says that at Night of Champions, they will settle things in a steel cage.

After meeting with Lyra Valkyria involving a match, General Manager Adam Pearce is met by LA Knight, who says that everything happened as he expected it to regarding The Bloodline, then says that he still does not trust Pearce and that he will do things his way.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Chad Gable. Gable says that after losing the mask and gaining respect for the mask and lucha libre itself, he knows he has gotten a lot wrong and that he has a lot of people to make amends to. He says that he has other people to make amends to after beating Rusev, then heads to the ring, briefly meeting Maxxine Dupri on the way.

Chad Gable beats Rusev by submission with the ankle lock after breaking out of the Accolade. After the match, "All Ego" Ethan Page attacks Chad Gable, and Rusev joins in. All of a sudden, Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee run to the ring. Ethan gets back in the ring after an initial retreat, but Rey and Dragon Lee soon send him packing. Afterwards, Rey and Dragon Lee help Gable up, then raise his hands in victory.

Backstage, Roman Reigns is met by The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso), who want to know what was up with Jacob Fatu earlier. Roman says that they cannot have infighting as everyone hates them, then wants to know why LA Knight has not been handled yet, and wants to sic Jacob Fatu on him. Jimmy says he will deal with Knight.

Lance Corporal Jheyco Borda is hailed as a WWE Hometown Hero for fighting off an attempted carjacking in Oxon Hill in Baltimore. We then see Jheyco Borda in the front row.Middleweight boxer Jalil Hackett and light heavyweight boxer Nasheed Smith are also seen in the crowd.

We hear from Bron Breakker, who says that Seth "Freakin'" Rollins has relied on underhanded tactics to create his career, yet plays the victim. He says that Rollins is a sheep in wolf's clothing, not a visionary, then says he will be locked with him in a steel cage at Night of Champions. He says that in the end, the dog always makes it out of the cage.

LA Knight heads to the ring. He talks about how he ended up laid out on SmackDown and how he was right about The Bloodline, then talks about how he had to get to Baltimore, Maryland. He says that with or without a championship, it is still his game. He says that he has always fought the odds and has never quit or given up because he does not know, then talks about how he is not part of a famous wrestling family before recapping what happened to him on Friday. This leads to Jimmy Uso making his way to the ring and telling him that the past is the past and that things are different, and that Solo Sikoa does not run with The Bloodline. Jey Uso shows up and says that he is better than Jey and that he knocked him out of the tournament, then says that he wants Knight one-on-one Friday and he wants Knight to acknowledge him.Knight wants to make sure that the match is one-on-one, then acknowledges Jey Uso kissing his ass. This starts a brawl, and Jimmy Uso has to superkick Knight as Knight pummels Jey. Jey grabs a chair, but Jimmy stops Jey as Jey is about to go after Knight. Jey goes after Knight anyway, and Knight overpowers Jey and hits both of The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) with the chair. Jacob Fatu then runs into the ring, puts Knight in the Tongan Death Grip, and leaves.

Backstage, The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) argue when Jacob Fatu says that they did not get the job done and that things had to be done "the OTC way."

We see Alexa Bliss' road through NXT as part of this week's NXT Origins.

Charlotte Flair beats Roxanne Perez by submission with the Figure Eight, despite Roxanne doing damage to Charlotte's right hand throughout the match.

Jackie Redmond interviews Je'Von Evans in the ring. Je'Von says he knows Jey Uso is watching and that he knows Jey Uso has all the experience, but he plans to knock Jey out of the King of the Ring Tournament. All of a sudden, Logan Paul shows up with Austin Theory. Logan is wearing a cast that covers his entire left arm. Logan says he has been watching Je'Von Evans and that Je'Von is "a generational talent," then says Je'Von has untapped potential, then says he cannot be a ruthless killer without the right people. Logan then invites Je'Von to join The Vision (Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory), to which Je'Von replies "Hell naw." Logan says that this was a mandate, not an invitation, and Je'Von demands Logan leave the ring. Theory demands Je'Von join, and Je'Von removes his pants to reveal ring gear underneath. Je'Von then calls for a referee, and this leads to a match.

Je'Von Evans beats Austin Theory by disqualification after Bron Breakker shows up and Spears Je'Von out of the air in the middle of an OG Cuter.. After the match, The Vision are about to gang up on Je'Von when The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up. The Street Profits soon clean house and take out Theory and Breakker.

Backstage, Jacob Fatu tells Roman Reigns that LA Knight is handled, and that The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) are not happy about it. Roman says The Usos do not understand, and that as long as they are together, they are understandable. Roman then gives Jacob one more command, to which Jacob says "Say no more."

Next week's show has a special start time of 2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific due to being in London, England.

Oba Femi beats "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio to advance to the King of the Ring Tournament finals after decimatng both him and JD McDonagh. After the match, Oba says he is one match away, and then the ruler will have his crown. He is also surprised that Brock Lesnar did not show up, as he used to look up to him before Lesnar made him question if he is a man at all. Oba then says he knows who he is, and that it is how he will also be he remembered. He says he will be the king while Lesnar will be remembered as the man who ran from Oba Femi.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 1, 2026

Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) make their way to the ring to start tonight's show. Roman says he has been waiting for this day for a long time because there is no day like acknowledgment day, and Jey Uso wants to know where Jacob Fatu is on his first day on the job. Jacob Fatu shows up, and Roman and Jey tell Jacob that he knows what time it is. Jacob takes the microphone from Jey's hand and tells Roman that he knew what he was getting into when he challenged Roman to Tribal Combat, as he has been taking L's his whole life and it brought him here. He admits that last night, his children saw their father take a loss and keep his word, and he lost to his Tribal Chief. He tells Jey he did not lose to him, then acknowledge Roman Reigns as Tribal Chief and takes a knee beforeraising his right hand. Roman takes Jimmy by the hand, and Roman tells Jacob that while he does not understand this right now, he loves him. Jimmy says this is a warning shot that "they the twos and we the ones."

We are introduced to the French announce team of Michele Posa and Luca Franchini.

Oba Femi beats Solo Sikoa, Penta and Carmelo Hayes in a Fatal 4-Way Match to advance in the King of the Ring Tournament. After the match, Oba says Paul Heyman asked if he could take a beating and asked what he does after taking a beating that included seven F-5's, then says he is standing, winning and still here after taking Brock Lesnar's best shot, and he will become King of the Ring. He reminds Lesnar that they are 1-1 and that he will see him down the line.

Cathy Kelley introduces Sol Ruca to the ring. Sol Ruca states that winning the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship is a dream come true, as she and the fans all believed in her and that she could be a champion. Sol Ruca then thanks the fans and gives credit where credit is due to Becky Lynch despite Becky being against the match and feeling she was not ready to face the very best only to be proven wrong. She then says that as tough as it was to beat Becky, her work is just getting started, as the Women's Intercontinental Championship and the fans deserve a fighting champion, which she promises to be. She then says that if anyone thinks she is a rookie or if they underestimate her, she will snatch their soul walk out the champion.

In footage from after the show, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns have a chance meeting. Backstage, Roman Reigns meets with The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso), telling Jey to stay on Cody as he is the only one who understands tough love. He then tells Jey to go in at the King of the Ring Tournament, take the Undisputed WWE Championship and head to SummerSlam. Roman says there are two ends to the table, and he needs Jey to level up. He then asks Jimmy to stay with him, saying that Jey needs to do this on his own.

Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee beat "All Ego" Ethan Page and Rusev.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce tells Penta that he will make the Intercontinental Championship defense against Rey Mysterio happen. After Penta leaves, LA Knight shows up and accuses Pearce of siding with Roman Reigns. Pearce says he was talking business with Roman last night and that he has no idea what Knight saw, but Knight says that Pearce only wants Roman as World Heavyweight Champion before threatening to take Pearce out of retirement just to put him back in it. Pearce says Jacob Fatu is a liabilty and that Knight can believe whatever he wants, but he is trying to keep Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) in line. When Pearce points a finger at Knight, Knight raises Pearce's finger up into the air, taking it as more proof that Pearce is siding with Roman.

Iyo Sky beats Giulia, Roxanne Perez and Lash Legend to advance in the Queen of the Ring Tournament.

Backstage, Maxxine Dupri is shocked to find out she is not in the Queen of the Ring Tournament. General Manager Adam Pearce tells her that the tournament is stacked and that he had to make some tough decisions, and when Maxxine says she has been overlooked again, Pearce tells her that if an opening comes up, she will be at the top of the list. Otis tells her that he and Akira Tozawa have her back, but that they have noticed that Maxxine has been hanging out more with Austin Theory instead of them. Maxxine tells Otis that she knows what she is doing and to trust her on this.

We see the recent events regarding Danhausen and the New York Knicks, who have reached the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 since Danhausen uncursed the team.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. Bayley says the two of them can do the Queen of the Ring Tournament and the Women's Tag Team Championships at the same time. Lyra notices Sol Ruca and congratulates her on beating Becky Lynch for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship, then says that she wants to challenge for the Women's Intercontinental Championship, which she could not challenge for while Becky was still champion. Sol Ruca says she would be honored.

Backstage, Liv Morgan shows up as Roxanne Perez is frustrated with her Queen of the Ring Tournament loss. Liv Morgan says that it has been a rough couple of weeks, but they are still family. Liv says that they take opportunities, not pout over them, and that one of them will take it all back for The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez, JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio), win the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments, and take over Raw.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins beats Bron Breakker. During the match, Austin Theory shows up only to get taken down by Rollins, and Paul Heyman has to distract referee Chad Patton so that Theory can hit Rollins with one of the World Tag Team Championships. Montez Ford shows up and takes out Austin Theory with a tope con hiro over the ring post, but gets Speared by Breakker. Breakker then hits Rollins with a Spear, but Rollins kicks out. Rollins soon hits Breakker with The Stomp, but Heyman puts Braekker's foot on the rope. Rollins confronts Heyman, who says he has no respect for Rollins, and Breakker goes for a Spear on the outside only for Rollins to pull Heyman in front of himself, leading Breakker to Spear Heyman through the barricade. An angry Breakker goes after Rollins with another Spear, but Rollins uses Theory's World Tag Team Championship as a shield and hits The Stomp for the win.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 25, 2026

Paul Heyman is in the ring to start tonight's show. Heyman says that he is here to hype everyone up for a match that needs no hype: Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy. The crowd chants for Oba, and Heyman tells everyone to shut up before we hear from Brock Lesnar in a video package. Lesnar says that he can take an ass beating, then asks if Oba can do the same, saying that Oba will take an ass beating and a conquering from "a retired Beast" and that he will rule over Oba Femi. Heyman says that Oba Femi has awakened Brock Lesnar, then Oba Femi shows up and heads to the ring. Oba corners Heyman in the corner of the ring, asking what four F-5s from Brock Lesnar has awoken in him, then says he will not touch him because he needs him alive and well so that Heyman can tell the tale of how he retired Lesnar a second time. He also says that this is personal despite what Heyman might say about the rematch being just business, then signs the contract on Heyman's shoulder before telling Heyman to tell Lesnar that last time, he fought to beat him, and now, he is fighting to kill him.

Penta retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Je'Von Evans. After the match, Penta wants to shake hands with Je'Von, but Je'Von angrily walks past him.

Backstage, Paul Heyman looks through the Clash in Italy contract for Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar when Austin Theory shows up, not knowing what to do now that Logan Paul is out. (Logan Paul is currently out with a torn tricep following Saturday Night's Main Event and will be out for months.) Heyman says he expects Theory to defend the World Tag titles with Bron Breakker, which Theory appreciates. Theory then says that he wants to take out every last person who took out Logan Paul. Heyman tells Theory that he knows exactly what to do tonight and to whom.

Joe Hendry is in the middle of a concert in the ring when he is attacked from behind with a metal folding chair by Austin Theory. On his way out, Theory smashes Hendry's head into the ring post with the chair.

Backstage, Angelo Dawkins is met by Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, who apologizes and says that he knows how it feels to be screwed over by The Vision (Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, Austin Theory). He then says The Vision is at its weakest without Logan Paul, and that Theory is the most violent he has ever been. Montez Ford shows up and says nothing good happens with Rollins around, but Rollins says that when he was not here, they did not become tag team champions. Rollins tells them that they have to work together to take out The Vision. He also says that he is the only one in the three of them to main event WrestleMania, but Montez says he has never stabbed his brother in the back. This leads to Montez challenging Rollins to a match tonight, much to Dawkins' chagrin.

Next week's Raw in Turin, Italy has a special start time of 2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific.

Backstage, Je'Von Evans is met by Penta. Je'Von apologizes for being unprofessional after the match, then tells Penta he will see him for the Intercontinental Championship against soon. Je'Von leaves, then Rey Mysterio shows up and says that Mexican pride is at an all-time high. Penta congratulates Rey on becoming the General Manager of AAA, then says that he wants to be a fighting champion and leave a legacy, and that there is no one he would like to face more than Rey for the Intercontinental Championship. Rey is hyped up for the match.

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria beat The Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez) after "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio's attempt at interfering in the match by tossing the AAA Mega Championship into the ring backfires, as Bayley sends Roxanne into Dominik during a tug-of-war over the title before pinning Roxanne and winning.

Backstage, General Manager meets with Roman Reigns. Roman says he has to go back to his old ways and assert power, then says that there must be consequences. He says that should Jacob Fatu loses, he either serves Roman or gets fired. If Jacob wins, he becomes the new Tribal Chief.

WWE acknowledges Memorial Day in the United States.

We see footage of The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and Bayley and at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum.

LA Knight heads to the ring. Knight says he has not been in front of the fans since WrestleMania, then wishes everyone a happy Memorial Day and thanks the American troops for their service. He says that he has put The Vision in the rear view mirror with The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso), then mentions that he has thrown his hat into the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship and Roman Reigns. Knight says that he is trying to bring back The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso), and that The Usos that are running with Roman are different from The Usos that he knew. Suddenly, Jimmy Uso heads to the ring. Jimmy says that he has a lot of respect for Knight and fought alongside him, then says that The Bloodline is not like they used to be. Jimmy has no problem with Knight going for King of the Ring, saying that he will get a fair shot at Roman Reigns if he wins. Knight is not convinced after what The Usos did to Jacob Fatu and says that he does not want Jimmy to be third fiddle to Roman and be his errand boy again. Jimmy says Knight should be lucky Jey is not here, otherwise they would not be talking. He also tells Knight to tread lightly, or else his family will become Knight's business. Knight stops Jimmy, saying he is the one that he likes out of him and Jey, and says Roman only needed Paul Heyman and The Usos because he could not get it done on his own. He says that if the family business becomes his business, then so be it.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio meets with General Manager Adam Pearce, who discuss Rey's potential match with Penta as "All Ego" Ethan Page demands an Intercontinental Championship rematch. Rusev also shows up, and Ethan tells Rusev that the General Managers of Raw and AAA are conspiring against him. Rusev is also incensed, and Rusev and Ethan demand Rey earn his title shot. Rey is game, and Pearce makes a match between Rey and Rusev official.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins beats Montez Ford with The Stomp after avoiding a top rope 450 splash from Rollins. After the match, Angelo Dawkins is attacked with a metal folding chair by Austin Theory on the stage.

Backstage, Montez Ford meets with General Manager Adam Pearce when Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Montez tells Rollins that he is right, then checks on Dawkins. Rollins says he needs to cut off the head of the snake and that he wants Bron Breakker.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Becky Lynch. Becky says that some people get punched in the face and become the face of the industry, but other people get punched in the face and realize that they are way in over her head. She says that Sol Ruca has realized this, and says that time is running out for Sol Ruca to get a big win. Becky says that her name is etched in stone and hopes that Sol Ruca can come around to Clash in Italy as she will and realize that she is standing across from greatness.

"All Ego" Ethan Page guests on commentary for the next match.

Rey Mysterio beats Rusev for a shot at Penta and the WWE Intercontinental Championship after slipping out of the Accolade after Rusev catches the 619 and stacks Rusev up for the pin and the win. After the match, Rusev attacks Rey, then Dragon Lee shows up and fights Rusev. "All Ego" Ethan Page leaves the commentary table, and Dragon Lee sends Ethan into Rusev and sends him packing. Dragon Lee hits the dive on Ethan before Rey hits Rusev with a 619.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce personally ejects Austin Theory from the building. Heyman escorts Theory away from Pearce, and Theory glares at Alpha Academy (Otis, Akira Tozawa, Maxxine Dupri). Otis has a bad feeling about what has been going on as of late.

General Manager Adam Pearce is in the ring for the contract signing for Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship between Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns at Clash in Italy. Jacob Fatu arrives first, followed by Roman Reigns. After the commercial break, Jacob Fatu signs the contract, then throws the chairs and the table in the ring at security standing at the foot of the ramp. Roman Reigns shows up as security confronts Jacob Fatu, and he surveys the carnage that has just taken place before entering the ring and signing the contract. Roman then takes the microphone from Pearce and says "Leave us." Pearce asks if security is still necessary, and Roman tells Pearce that Jacob signed a blood oath and cannot touch him until the match. Pearce calls security off and leaves with them. This leaves Roman and Jacob alone in the ring, Roman tells Jacob that all he had to do was acknowledge him so that they could move on, but Jacob makes it clear that he does not want to and that Roman is the reason the family has the life that it has and is on top of the mountain.He then says that Roman could only take it so far and that it is time for a change and another direction and destination, then says Roman bent the rules to win by any necessary at Backlash. He then says that anything goes in Tribal Combat, and that he will dog walk Roman. Roman says that if Jacob Fatu cannot win, he will domesticate Jacob like a dog and that Jacob will not only learn from him, but love his Tribal Chief. Jacob says it looks like a win for him, as he will still have a job here if he loses. He then says that if he wins, everybody - especially Roman - will learn how to acknowledge him. Both men then shake hands to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 11, 2026

Roman Reigns is met by General Manager Adam Pearce as he enters the building. Pearce is considering firing Jacob Fatu, but Roman wants Jacob to acknowledge him in the ring, especially since he was the one to bring him here. Roman then heads to his dressing room.

The Vision ("The Oracle" Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory) heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Heyman praises Breakker's win over Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and says that Rollins is the one who is not ready, as he was not ready Breakker's physical onslaught and not ready for his wisdom, and Rollins will never be ready to have a vision of victory over The Vision. Heyman allows Theory to air his grievances. Theory addresses The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford), who keep putting their nose in The Vision's business and need the tag team titles "because Bianca [Belair] can't pay the bills anymore." As Theory mentions Joe Hendry, The Street Profits show up. Montez says that since Bianca is busy with the baby, somebody had to come to Raw to beat The Vision's asses all over Knoxville, Tennessee. He also says that The Street Profits have returned for the World Tag Team Championships and that they are always up and wanting the smoke. Logan Paul says The Street Profits are a legendary team, but they are old news and have done nothing but organize a baby shower for the last six months. He also says that Bianca is better than Montez for stating that The Vision is always ready. All of a sudden, Joe Hendry shows up with his guitar and sings about getting Logan Paul fired again before the show goes to a commercial break.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and Joe Hendry beat The Vision (Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory) in a six-man tag match after Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up and stops Breakker's attempt at a Spear on the outside behind the referee's back, allowing Angelo Dawkins to pin Bron Breakker with a schoolkid pin for the win. After the match, Theory attacks Dawkins, but Rollins makes the save. He then helps Dawkins up, but Breakker takes out Dawkins with a Spear. As The Vision regroups, Montez confronts Rollins for Dawkins getting hurt.

General Manager Adam Pearce gets to know Los Americanos Hermanos' (Bruto and Julio) names, then Liv Morgan and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio show up wanting to know is next for Dominik. El Grande Americano I takes offense to the interruption, and Dominik says El Grande Americano I is not a real luchador. This leads to Pearce putting Dominik in a match against El Grande Americano I with the AAA Mega Championship on the line. Afterwards, Los Garzas (Angel and Berto) shows up asking Pearce for an opportunity.

Penta heads to the ring. Penta says that heard about "All Ego" Ethan Page talking about the Intercontinental Championship, and dares Ethan Page to say it to his face. Ethan Page shows up, says that Penta painted his face and put it under a mask to hide his identity while he is who he says he is. He also talks about how he pinned Penta in the middle of the ring last week, which makes him #1 contender, and says that Penta is afraid to lose to him again. Penta says he is not afraid to defend his title against him and that they can go right now, and Ethan says that while Penta is ready to go, he is not, then mentions the prestige of the Intercontinental title and says it needs the spotlight it deserves. Ethan then challenges Penta for the title at Saturday Night's Main Event, and Penta says that he is ready for the world and will face Ethan any time, anywhere. All of a sudden, Rusev shows up and tells Ethan Page that he is next in line for the title and tells Ethan to watch what he says, but Ethan says that he has talked to General Manager Adam Pearce and says he is the new guy while Ruev has been here longer. As Ethen says that even Je'Von Evans has said that he cannot beat Rusev, Je'Von Evans shows up to take on the rumor that he said that (he did not), then gets accosted and attacked by Rusev and Ethan. This starts a brawl where Je'Von and Penta come out on top.

Je'Von Evans beats Rusev.

We see a video package for the AAA Mega Championship.

Backstage, Iyo Sky is met by Asuka. The two of them hug, and Asuka says she was looking for someone to take over her position and that Iyo Sky became that person, and she is so glad it was Iyo. Iyo says that even if they fight, they will always be family. Iyo then says goodbye to Asuka, who says "See you later" before leaving the building with her suitcase.

Brie Bella and Paige head to the ring. Brie addresses The Judgment Day's (Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez) proposition that they come to Raw, and says that they are here. Paige says they are ready for a fight, and Brie wants The Judgment Day to come to the ring. Raquel and Roxanne head to the ring, and Raquel welcomes them to Raw before Roxanne talks about how she saw Brie and Paige on TV while they were still young and relevant, and how she met the both of them as a young girl. She says that Brie set the bar so low as to expect her to continue the Bella legacy. Brie says that she has her confused with Liv Morgan and wanted Roxanne to make her own legacy, then says that Roxanne's mom is disappointed with her. Raquel tells Brie and Paige to save them the embarrassment and hand them the women's tag team titles, as they do not deserve them. Paige strikes Raquel with one of the titles, starting a brawl. Liv Morgan shows up and hits Paige with a Codebreaker, and the numbers game takes over before Liv, Raquel and Rodriguez celebrate.

Backstage, Roman Reigns is met by Jimmy Uso. Jimmy says that "Main Event" Jey Uso is waiting for Jacob Fatu to dissuade him from coming to the ring. Jimmy asks Roman to move on from Jacob, but Roman says they had a deal and that Jacob signed on the line. Roman says that if Jacob Fatu does not respect him, then no one else will, and Jacob will be out of here. Jimmy says he will find Jey.

We hear from "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, who says that he has held the AAA Mega Championship for eight months and has not only become king of the luchadors, but has outdone everything Rey Mysterio has ever done. He says that El Grande Americano will never get his hands on his title.

Iyo Sky beats Sol Ruca with a crucifix pin after narrowly avoiding the Sol Snatcher.

Backstage, Jimmy Uso meets with "Main Event" Jey Uso and tells Jey that Roman Reigns wants Jacob Fatu to show up and acknowledge him. Neither of them believe that Jacob will acknowledge Roman.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford). Angelo Dawkins says that they came back for the World Tag Team Championships, then Seth "Freakin'" Rollins says that it is about time that they talked. Montez is not in the mood, but Dawkins wants to hear Rollins out. Rollins says that he was wrong, but Montez says they do not need him to win the World Tag titles.

Backstage, Iyo Sky meets with Sol Ruca. Iyo says that Sol is the future and that they will fight again one day. Iyo leaves, then Becky Lynch shows up and says that Sol cannot beat Iyo and that the lights are too bright for her.

Before the next match, Oba Femi declares that the open challenge has begun, then General Manager Adam Pearce shows up and says nobody was willing to answer the challenge and that the open challenge is cancelled for tonight. Oba Femi leaves the ring and heads to the back, saying that everyone is a coward, then finds and grabs Angel, throws him into Berto, and carries the both of them into the ring.

Oba Femi quickly beats Los Garza (Angel and Berto) in a two-on-one handicap match in the Oba Femi Open Challenge.

We hear from El Grande Americano I, who says that the AAA Mega Championship is a title of prestige and belongs around his waist, as "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio is not prestigious. He says that the Mega title will soon be around his waist.

Backstage, Finn Balor attacks JD McDonagh as he accompanies "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio to the ring and takes him out of commission.

"Dirty" Dominik Mysterio retains the AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano I. During the match, Los Americanos (El Grande Americano II, Rayo Americano, Bravo Americano) distract both the referee and El Grande Americano I, and Los Americanos Hermanos (Julio and Bruto) show up and even the numbers game. El Grande Americano I goes for El Grande Americano II's mask, and that allows Dominik to hit the 619 and the top rope splash to win and retain.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Logan Paul and Austin Theory. Logan says that if he has to listen to Joe Hendry's song one more time, he will "Vincent Van Gogh himself" and cut off his own ears. As Logan complains about the song, Theory wants Logan to relax. Logan and Theory then take a car out of the arena.

Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso head to the ring. It is not long before Jacob Fatu arrives, and "Main Event" Jey Uso tries to tell Jacob to think about this, as he will create a lot of problems for himself and his family is he does what he is about to do. Jacob responds by headbutting Jey and attacking him. Jacob then looks at the camera and tells Roman that he will have to beat the acknowledgment out of him before heading to the ring. Jacob lays Jimmy Uso out when Jimmy confronts him, then brawls with Roman in the ring and overpowers him until Roman counters a tope suicida attempt with a Superman Punch on the outside. Roman then produces a chair from underneath the ring and hits Jacob with it, but when he goes for a Spear, Jacob superkicks him before locking in the Tongan Death Grip and sending Roman out of the ring for a tope suicida. Jacob clears the announce table, and Roman hits Jacob with another Superman Punch. He goes for yet another Superman Punch, but Jacob puts Roman in another Tongan Death Grip and headbutts him before powerbombing him through the announce table. Officials finally make their way out, and Jacob locks the Tongan Death Grip on Roman again before officials force him to let go. That does not stop Jacob form trying again, and even tossing General Manager Adam Pearce away in the process. Jacob Fatu then lifts up the World Heavyweight Championship, then heads to the back before rushing back and plowing Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) through the barricade to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 4, 2026

As Roman Reigns heads to the ring, General Manager Adam Pearce tells him that Jacob Fatu is not in the building yet. Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up and tells Roman "You're in my way." Rollins then heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Before Rollins can get in the ring, he is attacked from behind by Bron Breakker. Security and officials have to keep Breakker away from Rollins, but Breakker attacks security before faking heading to the back, rushing to the ring and Spearing Rollins.

The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) meet backstage. Liv knows that Finn Balor was in the clubhouse and that Roxanne Perez did not tell her. Perez says she made it very clear to Finn Balor to leave the clubhouse, and that she is loyal to The Judgment Day. She also apologizes for not telling Liv. Liv asks Roxanne to promise to not keep secrets from The Judgment Day. Roxanne promises.

JD McDonagh beats Finn Balor after Liv Morgan distracts referee Jessika Carr so that Roxanne Perez can hit Finn Balor with the ring bell hammer. During the match, Roxanne Perez shows up at ringside, and after the commercial break, so does Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Roxanne tries to distract the referee as "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio trips Finn Balor off the top rope, but the referee turns around, catches Dominik in the act and ejects him from ringside.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Rollins says he will be fine after what happened earlier and says that if Bron Breakker is willing to take chances, then he should be willing to finish the job. Rollins then says "I ain't dead yet," then walks away.

Backstage, Bron Breakker speaks with Austin Theory and make fun of both Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and Joe Hendry. After Paul Heyman asks if Rollins is still breathing, Logan Paul says that Hendry will not be, and wants to hospitalize Hendry at soon as Heyman says he can. Hendry wants Logan that he will get suspended after what happened to Breakker, and says that Theory will do the job. Theory says he will take care of Hendry, and Breakker says they will get them all.

"All Ego" Ethan Page and Rusev beat Je'Von Evans and Penta after Rusev slams Penta on the announce desk after Ethan trips Je'Von off the top rope as Je'Von goes for a splash through the announce desk on Rusev.

General Manager Adam Pearce is in the ring with a contract in his hand. He announces that today, Sol Ruca will be signing her Raw contract. Sol Ruca heads to the ring, and Pearce congratulates her before handing her the contract. As Sol Ruca says it will feel real good to sign her contract, Becky Lynch suddenly shows up, insisting that this was her allotted time for greatness and complains about having to be in a match with Iyo Sky, who she calls "Iyo Janetty." Sol Ruca asks Becky if she is done, and when Becky goes on about who says she is the greatest, Sol Ruca says that not everything revolves around Becky and Becky has come off as the exact person everyone says she is: a rude, big-headed bitch. Sol Ruca signs her contract, and Becky asks Sol Ruca who she is. Sol tells Becky who she is, and says that if Becky interrupts her again, she will kick her ass and snatch her soul. Becky punches at Sol Ruca, but hits Adam Pearce, who then yells at Becky as Becky tries to apologize. Sol Ruca takes advantage of the situation and hits the Sol Snatcher on Becky.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) as they are about to enter Roman Reigns' dressing room. Jimmy says tonight is a big night and that Jacob Fatu needs to know how Roman does business, and Jey says that Roman knows how to handle things and that they are there for just in case. Jey says Jacob Fatu is swimming in deep water and they respect that, but he will find out who he is messing with at Backlash.

Before the next match, Joe Hendry sings about having Logan Paul fired again. Logan Paul shows up with Austin Theory and insists that TKO cannot fire him because he is business and that he is "unfireable" and the heart and soul of WWE. Hendry continues singing, and when Theory rushes into the ring, Hendry clotheslines him back out. The next match starts.

Joe Hendry beats Austin Theory by disqualification after he is attacked from behind by Logan Paul. After the match, Joe Hendry fights back against Logan Paul, but the numbers game catches up. All of a sudden, The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up and brawl with Logan and Theory, and quickly clean house. Bron Breakker shows up, and he annihilates The Street Profits. He goes for a Spear on Angelo Dawkins, but is stopped by Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, who throws Breakker into the ring steps and goes to town on him. Rollins goes for The Stomp, but after Montez Ford somersaults over him and the ring post to get to everyone else, Breakker hits Rollins with a Spear.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh). Liv Morgan says they are getting all the gold and crushing everyone who gets in their way. Raquel says that Paige and Brie Bella's nostalgia tour was cute for one night, but now it is time to get serious. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria show up wanting a match with The Judgment Day, but Liv waves goodbye and The Judgment Day walk away.

Before the next match, Oba Femi proclaims that the Oba Femi Open Challenge will now begin. Oba Femi's open challenge is answered by Akira Tozawa. Tozawa suddenly have his misgivings upon stepping up to Oba, and Otis takes his place.

Oba Femi quickly beats Otis.

Backstage, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins gets in an argument with The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and Joe Hendry, saying that he does not even trust himself and that they are all fighting The Vision. Rollins says he will stay out of The Street Profits' way while they stay out of his.

In footage from earlier today, Iyo Sky and Asuka have a face-to-face meeting overseen by General Manager Adam Pearce. Iyo says she has avoided this for years and that Asuka is who she says she is. She says that she loves Asuka and still have the ultimate respect for ever despite everything that has happened, and did not want to fight her. She says Asuka has changed, but Asuka says the situation has changed. Iyo says she has changed, and she has to fight her. Asuka says the Iyo Sky she taught is no longer in front of her, and asys she does not know anyone who is this disrespectful. She calls Iyo Sky her biggest disappointment, then says she is done with her, and at Backlash, she will cut her out of her life for good. Iyo says she is ready for Asuka, then Asuka spits blue mist into Iyo's face. A furious Adam pearce kicks Asuka out of the room and demands a medic for Iyo.

Backstage, Cathy Kelly interviews El Grande Americano I and Los Americanos Hermanos, Julio and Bruto (who are Julius and Brutus Creed, respectively). El Grande Americano I says the no-contact rule applies only in Mexico, and in the United States, all bets are off. She says that Chad Gable - who he says is still out with an injury - has done him a favor by pairing him with Los Americanos Hermanos, then heads to the ring.

El Grande Americano I and Los Americanos Hermanos (Julio and Bruto) beat Los Americanos (El Grande Americano II, Rayo Americano, Bravo Americano) in a six-man tag match.

It is announced that John Cena will announces some history-making news at Backlash.

Roman Reigns heads to the ring. General Manager Adam Pearce is in the ring with the contract for Roman Reigns' World Heavyweight Championship defense against Jacob Fatu at Backlash. Jacob Fatu enters the ring afterwards. Roman says that the fans respect him and that the respect has been earned over the last twelve years, then says that he held the door open for Solo Sikoa, who in turn helped Jacob Fatu in. He says that there must be a code of conduct that his family must hang its hat on, and addresses the Tongan Death Grip by saying it should not be used on family. Jacob Fatu says that he is desperate and against the wall and that it is him against the world, and that he has no choice but to take Roman out and take hits title and everything that comes with it. He says that he will put a choke hold on this game and squeeze every dollar and every cent just like how WWE has done to their family for decades, and says that he will move forward and never come back to where he came from. Jacob Fatu says he is desperate enough to feed his household, even if that means going through Roman. Roman cuts to the chase and signs the contract, then says he has grinded for multiple households and provided for multiple generations because he can. He says that WWE is all his, and in his family, everyone is equal. He then says that in the ring, Jacob is beneath him. Jacob goes for the Tongan Death Grip, but Roman fights back and hits him with a chair. He tries to hit Jacob Fatu with the World Heavyweight Championship, but is forced to fight with his fist when Jacob goes for the Tongan Death Grip again. Jacob nearly locks it in, but Roman escapes and hits the Superman Punch. Jacob finally locks in the Tongan Death Grip and nearly puts Roman Reigns through the table, then signs the contract as officials get in the ring.
