Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 20, 2026

The Vision (Bron Breakker and Austin Theory) beat Je'Von Evans and Dragon Lee. After the match, The Vision beat down on Je'Von Evans until Alpha Academy show up and brawl with The Vision. Maxxine gets in the ring and slaps Otis, but Otis is unfazed, and Otis continues to take the fight to The Vision after Maxxine retreats. Alpha Academy then tear down the announce table for a powerbomb on Theory, but Bron Breakker saves Theory with a Spear. Otis gets in the ring, and Maxxine watches from the top of the ring post as Otis gets Speared.

Backstage, The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) gang up on Danhausen, demanding their money. Danhausen demands that he be let go so he can find the money, and Dominik Myserio gives him thirty seconds.

We see another vignette for Big Cass, who is identified this time while reports of his out-of-the-ring activities are referred to in the vignette. We hear a voice talk about how even when one reaches the top, there is no telling how far one can fall.

Danhausen heads to the ring with a leather briefcase, presumably full of human money. Danhausen says he thought he took care of The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) at Saturday Night's Main Event, yet they still want their human money back. He says he does not want the money, but he does not want them to have it, either, and declares that he is giving it to the fans. The Judgment Day show up demanding their money, and Danhausen curses them before trying to run away only to be attacked. Suddenly, Joe Hendry shows up and makes the save for Danhausen, but Liv Morgan is able to get the briefcase.

We see "Chapter III: The Cash-In," chronicling "The Heist of the Century" in Seth "Freakin'" Rollins' Money in the Bank cash-in from WrestleMania 31.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce confronts The Judgment Day Liv Morgan, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) and is joined by Danhausen and Joe Hendry. JD McDonagh finds out that the money is fake, and when he tosses the leather briefcase away, he hits Oba Femi, who wants to destroy McDonagh. Pearce puts McDonagh and Oba Femi in a one-on-one match, and when Dominik complains that it is not fair, Pearce puts him in a match with Joe Hendry later tonight. Pearce then forces The Judgment Day to the ring.

Oba Femi quickly beats JD McDonagh after General Manager Adam Pearce forces "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh to the ring before Danhausen and Joe Hendry show up and send Dominik and McDonagh into the ring.

Solo Sikoa suddenly heads to the ring. He admits that he should not even be on this show, then proposes that Seth "Freakin'" Rollins meet him in the ring now. Rollins heads to the ring and wants to know if they are talking or fighting, and Solo says he is here to talk and not to fight. He knows that Rollins is focused on Roman Reigns, then says it is not just Rollins against Reigns, but the whole Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, "Main Event" Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu). He says he knows what they are going to do because he was a part of it and that they are going to make sure he does not win against Roman Reigns, then says it does not have to be like that and that he can watch Rollins' back at SummerSlam. Rollins says that Solo makes a lot of good points and is open to the idea, then asks Solo to let him think about it. Solo stops him, saying there is nothing to think about and that he could do for Rollins what Rollins himself did for "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. Jacob Fatu shows up, and Solo Sikoa retreats as Jacob threatens to dog walk Solo. When Jacob turns towards Rollins, Rollins superkicks him, then leaves.

Chad Gable and Penta beat "All Ego" Ethan Page and Rusev by disqualification with an ankle lock from Gable to Rusev after Penta leaps off Rusev's back to hit Ethan Page with a Mexican Destroyer.

We see "Chapter IV: The First Encounter," when Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and Roman Reigns squared off for the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank 2016.

Backstage, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins finds Jacob Fatu and dares Jacob to hit him only to mention that he is under strict order from Roman Reigns not to lay a finger on him. Rollins asks if he gets Jacob's services after he wins, and Jacob says that while Rollins got one up on him, it will not happen again, and that if there is anything left of Rollins after SummerSlam, he will beat his ass.

We hear from Paul Heyman, who hypes up Oba Femi vs. Brock Lensar in Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam, saying that Oba Femi is overrated and that Lesnar's unbeaten streak in Hell in a Cell will not be broken. He admits that Oba Femi has had the greatest rookie year on the main roster since Brock Lesnar, but says that Oba will not be able to beat Lesnar in Hell in a Cell, and that Oba's rookie year will come to a violent end.

We see "Chapter V: Back Together," where Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and Roman Reigns got The Shield back together. Rollins says this reunion never felt quite right, and Reigns calls it lost time before becoming the Tribal Chief that he will never get back.

Joe Hendry beats "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. During the match, Danhausen shows up and tries to curse Liv Morgan, but Liv punches him. Later in the match, Danhausen shows up with Iyo Sky, and Iyo Sky beats Liv Morgan up. As this goes on, Danhausen hits Dominik with the Triple D behind the referee's back, giving Hendry the win.

Before the next match, LA Knight talks about his SummerSlam match briefly, then mentions Solo Sikoa trying to help Seth "Freakin'" Rollins earlier tonight. Knight admits that he could not believe what he was seeing and that Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship makes him sick, saying that Roman was booed year after year until he was everything the fans wanted him to be. Knight says that he is not just what Roman Reigns wanted to be, but everything the boys in the back wanted Reigns to be but could not make happen. Knight says he is willing to team with Solo for one night, but he draws the line at allying with Rollins. Knight says that he wants The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, "Main Event" Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu) destroyed at SummerSlam so they are not a factor later on, then makes some Mortal Kombat references as he states that Jacob Fatu cannot stop him.

Jacob Fatu beats LA Knight. During the match, Jimmy Uso shows up, but Solo Sikoa shows up behind Jimmy from the timekeeper's area. Both Jimmy and Solo brawl on the outside, and Jacob hits Solo with a tope suicida. Jimmy goes for a pop-up Samoan Drop on LA Knight, but Knight slips out and hits the BFT just as Jimmy Uso starts distracting the referee. Royce Keys shows up and attacks Jimmy, then "Main Event" Jey Uso comes out of the crowd and superkicks Royce. Jacob then hits the top rope moonsault on Knight for the win. After the match, Jey, Jimmy and Jacob decimate Solo, Royce and Knight before raising a finger in the air to end the show.

Slammiversary 2025 - The LIVE Results

The Elegance Brand (Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance) retain the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships against The IInspiration (Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee) during the countdown after M by Elegance smacks Cassie Lee with her statue of Liberty torch on the outside.

The Northern Armory (Eric Young, Judas Icarus, Travis Williams) head to the ring. Eric Young calls New York City "a garbage city filled with garbage people" before saying that their sports teams suck. He then calls The Northern Armory three thoroughbreds and icons from "a real country." He says that there is a conspiracy against The Northern Armory and that everyone is against him, as he keeps getting kicked out of buildings and suspended while Cody Deaner was fired, and says The Home Town Man "is a fraud." As Eric Young dares the fans to fight him, The Home Town Man shows up and sends a referee to the ring. Judas Icarus and Travis Williams go after him only to get taken out, and an impromptu countdown match begins.

The Home Town Man beats Eric Young during the countdown after escaping the piledriver and sitting down when Young goes for a Sunset Flip after Young nearly fights the referee after a kick-out and The Northern Armory (Eric Young, Judas Icarus, Travis Williams) tries to fight the fans in the front row.

Before the next match, Real1 introduces Fourth Rope as well as Zilla Fatu and Josh Bishop before making fun of the opposition for tonight's match.

Real1, Zilla Fatu and Joey Bishop beat Steve Maclin, Mance Warner and Jake Something during the countdown after Mance Warner inadvertently clotheslines Jake Something.

The Star Spangled Banner is performed.

Mustafa Ali beats Cedric Alexander. During the match, Tasha Steelz is ejected from ringside for confronting the referee; she later comes back with a metal folding chair in hand only to be stopped by Cedric and hit with a Lumbar Check. As Cedric is still on the ground, Mustafa hits Cedric with a top rope 450 splash to get the win.

We are introduced to the French announce team of Handsome JF and Marc Blondin.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Joe Hendry. Hendry says the whole world is watching and that it has all come down to a Triple Threat Match, and while he respects Mike Santana and hates Trick Williams, the weight of the world is on him and everyone believes in Joe Hendry.

The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, JDC) and Matt Cardona beat DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) in an eight-man tag match.

As per the Bioflex Injury Report, Trey Miguel is still not medically cleared, and Myron Reed will take his place tonight. KC Navarro is cleared following a knee injury, while Elijah is still out with a torn triceps but has successfully underwent surgery.

Gia Miller interviews Tim Malcom from TLC's 90 Day Fiance. Tim is enjoying the show, which is the first Slammiversary he has ever seen live on location.

Indi Hartwell beats Tessa Blanchard after hitting Hurts, Don't It? three times. After the match, Gia Miller interviews Indi Hartwell, but she is soon attacked by Tessa Blanchard, who also slaps Gia Miller and slams her head on the steel steps while Victoria Crawford holds Indi back.

Backstage, Director of Authority Santino Marella screams at Tessa Blanchard for her actions. Tessa says she was putting Gia Miller in her place, but Santino says there will be consequences, and Tessa is carried out of the building by security.

Backstage, The Elegance Brand (The Personal Concierge George Iceman, Ash by Elegance, Heather by Elegance, M by Elegance) are about to celebrate when The IInspiration (Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee) confront them for needing to cheat to win. The IInspiration then tell The Elegance Brand that they will now have a six-woman tag match.

Jacy Jayne beats Masha Slamovich to retain the NXT Women's Championship and win the TNA Knockouts World Championship! During the match, Jacy Jayne inadvertently knocks out the referee with a superkick. Masha hits the Snow Plow, but a second referee who shows up does not show up fast enough to count to three. Masha counters a Rolling Encore with a schoolkid pin attempt, but Jacy Jayne escapes it and hits the move the second time around to become a double champion. After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva personally awards Jacy Jayne both championships.

Backstage, Eric Young chews out Judas Icarus and Travis Williams, then says things are going to change and that they will either get on board or get lost.

Tonight's Slammiversary record attendance is 7,623, the most for a TNA show in North America in the company history.

Moose is seen sitting on a throne during his entrance before the next match.

Leon Slater beats Moose to become the TNA X Division Champion and become the youngest to ever hold the title at 20 years old, beating the record of 21 years previously held by Amazing Red since early in the company's history. Near the end of the match, Moose rolls away from an attempt at the top rope Swanton 450, but Slater hits him with a Swanton Bomb from the top rope successfully in defiance. He then hits a Swanton 450 from another corner to win the match and the title After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva is about to present Slater with the title when Moose takes it away and places it around Slater's waist in a rare sign of respect. Afterwards, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles shows up in TNA for the first time since he lost the TNA World Heavyweight Championship to Magnus (now Nick Aldis) in 2014. AJ Styles asks the fans if they missed him, then says it has been a long road, but he is back in the house where his name was built. He admits there was a time when people said he may not be able to come back, but he is here, and things are better than ever. Styles tells Slater he does not deserve the X Division Championship; he earned it, and that Slater made him realize why he loves this business. He tells Slater that he showed everyone tonight why it is not weight limits, but no limits, which was the foundation when he started. He calls Slater the future and that the X Division "is in phenomenal hands." Styles tells Slater that he has made history tonight, and that it is now time to make his legacy. He then raises Slater's hand.

3oh Black performs "We Outside" during Fir$t Cla$$' (AJ Francis and KC Navarro) entrance before the next match.

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The Nemeths ("The Wanted Man" Nic and "The Hollywood Hunk" Ryan Nemeth), The Rascalz (Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz) and Fir$t Cla$$ (AJ Francis and KC Navarro) in a four-way tag team ladder match to become the TNA World Tag Team Champions for the fourth time! During the match, all of the ladders get destroyed, and a thin rope ladder with plastic rungs drops down from the top of the arena. After the match, Bully Ray suddenly shows up and congratulates The Hardys on winning another tag team championship. He says that they are "catching up," and that they are a reason for an attendance record for tonight's show. He then reveals why he is here: he brings up their tag team ladder match at Royal Rumble 2000 and how their paths have crossed since then, then brings up the discussion of who the greatest tag team of all time is. Bully Ray says that everyone can agree it is The Road Warriors (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk), but as far as who the most successful is, it is all about giving fans the last great tag team match of all time. He says this is about something special that can never happen again, and announces that in October at Bound For Glory, The Hardys and Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) will face off in one last match. The fans chant "Where is Devon?" Bully Ray says that "Devon! Get the tables!" will be heard one last time.

Bound For Glory will be live on October 12th!

Director of Authority Santino Marella announces that Tessa Blanchard has been suspended indefinitely following her attack on Gia Miller before asking the rest of the countdown panel for their main event predictions. All of a sudden, Frankie Kazarian shows up and mocks the countdown panel, then says nobody has done more for TNA than him, as he is the uncrowned world champion, and since he is not champion, he will be guesting on commentary for the next match.

Mike Santana is played to the ring by Blass 89, while The Harlem Gospel Ensemble play Trick Williams to the ring before the next match.

Trick Williams retains the TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in a Triple Threat Match. During the match, Frankie Kazarian pulls the referee out of the ring after Joe Hendry hits Trick Williams with the Standing Ovation, and is promptly ejected from ringside and commentary. Also during the match, the medical team has to hold Trick Williams up during the match after Trick is supposedly injured, but the match ends with Trick getting back in the ring after Santana hits Hendry with Spin The Block twice and tossing Santana out of the ring to steal the win and retain the title.

Shawn Michaels meets with the Legends and Future Greats. For this week's challenge, "size matters," and that everyone will have to wrestle "big" or "small" according to their size.

The matches are made. Bayley will face Summer, Drake will face Chris, Penina will face Dani, and Elijah will face Anthony, with the idea from Bubba Ray being Elijah will fight from underneath even though he is muscular.

Elijah Holyfield beats Anthony Luke.

Dani Sekelsky beats Penina Tuilaepa by submission with Hell's Gate.

Drake Morreaux beats Chris Island. The Undertaker and Booker T note that the two of them managed to tell a story.

Bayley Humphrey beats Summer Sorrell.

The points are awarded. For the women, Michelle McCool votes for Penina for her domination and aggression during her match. Bubba Ray Dudley also votes for Penina, stating that Dani also did a good job but could not have done it without Penina's help. The Undertaker says that Dani and Penina told more of a story than Bayley and Summer did, and votes for Penina. Booker T votes Penina, saying he was going to vote for her anyway. Penina gets the point for the women unanimously. For the men, Michelle McCool votes for Anthony, saying that he established working big more than anyone else tonight. The Undertaker votes for Elijah, noting how he sold moves early in the match and then had the fire later on. Booker T votes for Elijah for standing out the most, saying that Chris Island has some work to do and that the season is up for the taking for Anthony Luke and that it is up to him whether or not to take it. Bubba Ray votes for Elijah, stating that Elijah was able to make himself look small. For the men, Elijah has scored two points, Harlem has scored one point and Shiloh has scored one point. For the women, Sirena has scored two points, Dani has scored one point, and Penina has scored one point. For the Legends, Team Booker has three points, Team Undertaker has two points, Team Bubba has two points, and Team McCool is finally on the board with one point.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling recap for July 20, 2025

Backstage, Jack Farmer is met by G.U.N.K. (Rob Shit and Casanova Valentine), who decide to do the intro for him. When asked about their match this week, they plan on winning.

Brandon Cutler beats Fidel Bravo.

Backstage, Jonny Loaqusto introduces CEO of Nearly Average Wrestling, Shane Hartline, and his security guard, Leroy. Hartline says that he is here in peace and that he is looking forward to the rest of the show, then wants to see the rest of the roster in Championship Wrestling.

Jonny Loaquasto interviews The Mighty Zaddies ("Hysterical" Shane Haste, Che Cabrera, Bad Dude Tito). Shane Haste talks about how he grew up on television while kids these days watch television on their phones. Che Cabrera says Damian Desire is stronger than he looks, but he looks forward to getting his hands around his neck. Bad Dude Tito says they have been champions for close to three years and that The Evantourage ("Main Evant" Evan Daniels, Damian Desire, Bryce Saturn) have to attack them from behind to get a chance. Loquasto then announces there will be a six-man tag match between The Mighty Zaddies and the Evantourage, who soon arrive and state that The Mighty Zaddies cannot beat them. Evan Daniels pokes Haste as he states that The Evantourage is tired of slapping them around, which starts a brawl that quickly has to be stopped.

G.U.N.K. (Rob Shit and Casanova Valentine) beat Auron West and Mathias. After the match, Mathias gets angry at Auron West and shoves him before leaving the ring.

We hear from the mysterious leader of Delirium (Slade and McCallion), who says that the awakening has begun and that we have seen the first ripples in the still waters of the tag team division, courtesy of Delirium. Slade says the tag team has seen what they are now up against, and McCallion says that when you crawl into the dark with them, you don't come back up. The mysterious leader of Delirium says that this is the first warning, and to stand with Delirium or be slayed by society.

Danny Limelight heads to the ring. He talks about his 933-day reign, but says he is pushing 1,000 days as his family sits in the front row. He issues an open challenge for the UWN World Championship, and says that he is not taking a loss in front of his family. Jack Farmer gets in the ring and asks Big Baby Slim if he is answering the open challenge. Big Baby Slim says he does not need the title or the fans, and that he will take on anyone. He says he is back because some people have big heads and leave "the real ones" on their own, taking off when they find success and leaving people like him at home, then offers the open challenge to Jordan Cruz, who then goes to work.

Jordan Cruz beats Danny Limelight to become the UWN World Champion! Danny Limelight's reign ends at 933 days.

Slammiversary 2024 - The LIVE Results

Tasha Steelz beats Xia Brookside, Faby Apache and "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw in a four-way match on the Countdown after Gisele hits Brookside with the Denouement only for Steelz to pull her out of the pinfall, pick the bones and get the win.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Fir$t Cla$$ (AJ Francis and Rich Swann). AJ Francis says he is not afraid of a street fight, and says everyone in Montreal will be against him. He also introduces rapper Smoke DZA and professional wrestler Josh Bishop, who will be paid handsomely if they do what they need to do. Francis says it is time for Rich Swann to get that money against KUSHIDA (who was originally scheduled to face Jonathan Gresham until flight problems caused him to miss the show), then Sami Callihan shows up and confronts Josh Bishop. Francis entertains the idea of Callihan being a potential employee for Fir$t Cla$$, then Callihan says he will be watching the next match and leaves. Francis then says he will make history by retaining both of his championships tonight.

Before the next match, KUSHIDA shows up dressed like a Japanese Buddhist monk, complete with the kanji written on his face and body, the flute and the straw basket for a face covering.

KUSHIDA beats Rich Swann by submission with a top rope Spanish Fly into the Hoverboard Lock on the Countdown.

Gia Miller interviews Ash By Elegance, but personal concierge George Iceman interrupts to introduce Ash as he knows how before they both walk away.

Alisha Edwards and Masha Slamovich retain the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships against Spitfire (Dani Luna and Jody Threat) on the Countdown after Masha introduces the championship belts into the ring. As the referee removes one of them from the ring, Alisha sets the other one up in the corner so that Jody Threat can be slammed into it so that the tag champs can retain.

Santino speaks in French and thanks the fans for being at TNA's biggest show in over ten years, then announces a bonus match for the Countdown. The match is Eric Young vs. Hammerstone, the latter of whom has not been seen in TNA in months.

Eric Young beats Hammerstone with a schoolkid pin on the Countdown. After the match, Hammerstone is none too pleased with the results and argues with the referee as Eric Young says it feels good to be home. He says tonight is a celebration for pro wrestling and the fans, for without the fans, TNA does not exist. He says that everyone on the show will give the performance of a lifetime, then says that this is Slammiversary and this is TNA Wrestling.

Annie St-Onge sings the Canadian national anthem in French and in English.

Matt Hardy beats JDC. After the match, Matt Hardy hits JDC with two more Twists of Fate.

We hear from The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose). Alisha says she and Masha Slamovich did what she said they would do. Eddie says that once again, it has been proven that The System works. Brian Myers says ABC will be great one day, but not tonight, because The System is greatness. Moose says that when one is as dominant and as great as he is, one must go through all obstacles, and tonight, he will prove why you should always trust The System.

We are introduced to the French announce team of Handsome JF and Marc Blondin.

ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) beat The System (Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers) to become TNA World Tag Team Champions for the third time after Alisha Edwards gets in the ring to protect Brian Myers only to take an Art of Finesse meant for Eddie Edwards.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "Speedball" Mike Bailey. Speedball says he will be wrestling the biggest match of his life in front of friends and family and that Mustafa Ali has tried to get out of this match, but tonight, they will put an end to this.

Mike Santana beats Jake Something.

The Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz, Wes Lee) beat No Quarter Catch Crew (Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, Tavion Heights) in a six-man tag match.

Before the next match, AJ Francis says that PCO is not appearing tonight. We see footage of First Cla$$ (AJ Francis and Rich Swann), Smoke DZA and Josh Bishop having attacked PCO, but before Francis can be declared the winner, PCO is brought to the stage and revived. Destro, having been seen behind a door in the footage of First Cla$$' attack on PCO, charges PCO up, and PCO heads to the ring for the next match.

PCO beats AJ Francis in a Montreal Street Fight to become the TNA Digital Media Champion and the Canadian International Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Josh Bishop hits PCO with a metal folding chair before powerbombing him into another one, Sami Callihan shows up to be laid out by Rich Swann, and Rhino shows up to hit Swann with a Gore before willing PCO back into the match. After the match, Steph de Lander shows up with an engagement ring with a giant skull on it and asks PCO if he will marry her. PCO says "Oui!"

Jordynne Grace retains the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Ash By Elegance. During the match, personal concierge George Iceman gets ejected from ringside for getting involved in the match, and as this happens, Rosemary is seen in the crowd. Rosemary soon sees George Iceman and chases him to the back with a knife.

"Speedball" Mike Bailey beats Mustafa Ali with the Sharpshooter to become TNA X Division Champion for a second time in a match that sees Trent Seven remove his riot officer disguise to get revenge on Mustafa Ali, Speedball coming close to winning only for Mustafa's foot to touch the ropes, the referee getting knocked out inadvertently by a Speedball thrust kick, and Mustafa calling Earl Hebner to the ring to screw Speedball out of the title only for Earl to not have the heart to do it. Speedball gets the win and the title after kicking a chair out of Mustafa's hands and making Mustafa tap to the Sharpshooter.

Backstage, personal concierge George Iceman tells Santino that Ash By Elegance should be champion, and Hammerstone soon shows up wanting a rematch with Eric Young. Santino combines the two rematches into a mixed tag match with Hammerstone and Ash By Elegance facing Eric Young and Jordynne Grace, but Hammerstone is not exactly thrilled to team with Iceman.

"The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth beats Steve Maclin, Moose, Joe Hendry, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander and Frankie Kazarian in a six-way elimination match to become the TNA World Heavyweight Champion! Moose is eliminated by Joe Hendry with the Standing Ovation, guaranteeing a new champion. Shortly after this, Alexander hits Hendry with a low blow and hits him with the C4 Spike to eliminate him, then punches and stomps Hendry, saying he is the heart and soul of TNA while Hendry is a joke. When the referee tries to stop it, Alexander shoves him and threatens him in the corner before Nemeth fights Alexander. After the match, Ryan Nemeth, Steph de Lander and all of the other TNA champions show up to celebrate with Nic Nemeth while Frankie Kazarian watches from the ramp.

Collision Course - Collision recap for July 20, 2024

Darby Allin beats The Beast Mortos. After the match, Darby Allin says that people tell him to slow down or else he won't be able to walk when he is 30 years old, then says he is 30 years old and feels wonderful. Darby then says he never takes a day off because he used to work as a dishwasher and he would rather be kicked in the face any night of the week than go back to dishwashing. He says that it is fitting that he is in his first Blood & Guts, as he still has a scar from Sting's last match. Darby then addresses The Young Bucks (Nicholas and Matthew Jackson), saying they do not care about Collision and that AEW is his baby now and that he would not be here if it were not for them. He also says that the TNT Championship means everything to him and that he will not rest until he beats "Scapegoat" Jack Perry for the title, and tells him "If you have the balls...let's play." He then tells the fans that he will see them at Dynamite.

We hear from The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn). Daddy Ass tells Caster and Bowens that Blood & Guts is about being the best wrestler alive and that it is time to "nut up or shut up."

Hikaru Shida beats Skye Blue by referee stoppage after landing low on Skye Blue's legs during a plancha. (It is later revealed that Skye Blue has suffered an injury.)

Backstage, Lance Archer is seen attacking people backstage. He then says that everyone has forgotten who he is and what he can do.

We hear from "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho, who says that he and Minoru Suzuki have waited for their match for four years, and this Wednesday, it happens. He says that the match is happening for the first time ever, but it will be a nightmare for Suzuki, who will suffer night sweats and night terrors thinking about what he will do to him. He says that their match will be violent, and if anyone can match Suzuki blow-for-blow, it is him, and he cannot wait to teach him some valuable lessons, including never to mess with him.

Before the next match, Tony Nese makes fun of the fans' fitness - or lack thereof - and says they have not had real athletes to look up to, then announces that "Smart" Mark Sterling made up a contract to give a lucky individual an opportunity and give the fans an opportunity to see what a real "Premier Athlete" looks like.

Tony Schiavone interviews FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) in the ring. Cash says "The Dynamite Kid" Tommy Billington has one of the brightest futures ahead of him, and that they would not let The Don Callis Family walk all over him. He also says it is no secret that FTR have had the greatest run of their careers and that he has gone through some personal things over the past year that have dragged his name through the mud and left a cloud hanging over his head, and that the ring was his only escape from it all. He thanks the fans for helping him getting past all of that and that all that matterd was wrestling every match like it was his last match, as he did not know if he would have a last match. Cash admits that he has a bit of a temper and can be hot-headed, but he will not let it happen outside of the ring, and for now, the only people FTR have their sights on are The Young Bucks (Nicholas and Matthew Jackson), and now, "it is time to go Buck hunting." Harwood says 2022 and 2023 were great years to be an FTR fan due to their four world tag team titles and three great matches with The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe), 58 minutes with Bullet Club Gold ("Switchblade" Jay White, "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) and beating The Young Bucks at Wembley Stadium, but right now, their win-loss record is not that great and he has had a serious back injury that he was afraid he would not come back from, and The Young Bucks have leapfrogged them as the best tag team in the world, which does not sit well with him. Harwood says he watched AEW while rehabbing his back for six weeks hoping The Young Bucks would take the tag team division to the promised land only to be completely let down, as they did not even defend their titles, and while he could be making the worst decision of his life, FTR's road to the AEW World Tag Team Championships begins next week, with the road ending at All In. Harwood admits he is hard to work with and can be abrasive, but if the fans can give him some love, FTR will give them passion, blood, sweat and tears and become three-time AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Hikaru Shida, who says she came here for a fight and is still looking for one. She then says she wants a fight with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., welcoming her back before telling her to get in line for the TBS Championship. Shida says that she made Britt bleed once before when she broke her nose, and that she will do it again on Dynamite.

Roderick Strong beats Tomohiro Ishii after Matt Taven and Mike Bennett get on the apron to distract the referee, allowing Strong to hit a low blow. After the match, Undisputed Kingdom (Strong, Taven, Bennett) gang up on Ishii before Mark Briscoe shows and Kyle O'Reilly show up to chase them off.

Hologram - whose debut has been hyped for the last few weeks - beats Gringo Logo.

Backstage, we hear from Kerry Von Erich, "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes, Marshall Von Erich and Ross Von Erich. Kerry says it is great to be back in Texas with his sons and his friends, and says tonight is a great night for Texas. Kerry looks back on working with "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and laments that there will never be another man like Dusty, then says that wrestling is changing and everything is a little different than from when he did it, and that Marshall and Ross could benefit from Dustin's advice. Dustin says that he has watched the Von Erichs for years and has learned well, then says that the storm has arrived and that two of the greatest legacies in wrestling are here tonight for the first time since 1978. Dustin tells Marshall and Ross that if they listen and watch, he and Kerry will lead them down a great road. He then tells Marshall and Ross that he has their backs.

Backstage, we hear from Mark Briscoe, who says that his schedule as Ring of Honor World Champion is heating up with his championship match against Roderick Strong at Death Before Dishonor. He says that he and Roddy have known each other for a long time, but he has grown wiser and tougher since they last wrestled each other, and he hopes Roddy is ready. He also talks about the upcoming Blood & Guts match, and tells The Elite (Nicholas Jackson, Matthew Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, "Scapegoat" Jack Perry) that pro wrestling runs parallel with society and that The Elite are an example of the problems in this world today due to their power and privilege. He says that Team AEW (Swerve Strickland, Darby Allin, "Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, Mark Briscoe) represents "the grinders in society," then says he will be disappointed if The Elite do not bring the fight.

"The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo beats Thunder Rosa in a Lumberjack Match after the lumberjacks brawl, allowing Taya Valkyria to hand Deonna Purrazzo a turnbuckle to use as a weapon.

Kip Sabian is seen in the background as The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne, Killswitch, Mama Wayne) head to the ring for the main event.

The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne, Killswitch) beat The Bang Bang Gang ("Rock Hard" Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) to become the AEW World Trios Champions after Mama Wayne gets on the ring apron and sprays Juice Robinson in the eyes before Christian Cage hits him with the Killswitch.

Big John Dalton beats Kirk Swiss.

Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Michael by submission after countering the Gator Feet with the ankle lock. Wes Adams is the championship official for this match. During the match, J. Webb is seen in the aisle and on the outside.

Dustin Starr interviews Mackenzie Mitchell at the announce desk. He says that everything was going great until she was attacked a few weeks ago, and that she can be cleared by tonight. She says that all she needs is the fans' love and that she will be back, then tells Nixi XS that she is not ducking her and that she will pin her in the ring.

Before the next match, Makkari Kandy and Diana Taylor head out to find some candy for Makkari's candy bucket, and Diana says that if Raven Black has a sweet tooth, she will knock her out.

Diana Taylor beats Raven Black with a schoolkid pin after Raven Black goes for Makkari's bucket of candy.

The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) beat Steele Cross (Ethan Steele and Alex Cross) after a grab of the tights during a roll-up.

Justin Case and "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts show up looking for a fight from anybody in the back. That challenge is answered by TJ Williams, whom Justin Case calls "K-Toomer after he took the Vader Bomb."

Final IMPACT - IMPACT Wrestling LIVE recap for July 20, 2023

Alan Angels beats Crazzy Steve in the BTI match. During the match, Angels demands to ring announcer Jade Chung that he be known as "Windsor's favorite wrestler," but Crazzy Steve responds by having Jade Chung ask the fans if they want to see him take "Windsor's favorite wrestler" and bite his face off. After the match, Angels is hit from behind by Heath with a Wake-Up Call.

Scott D'Amore is in the ring to start tonight's show. D'Amore thanks the crowd for their support and making Slammiversary one of the greatest nights of his life, and says that standing in the ring with A1, Eric Young and Darren McCarty is a moment he will remember forever. He then announces that since his politics with Bully Ray are over, so is his leave of office, and with Santino Marella getting ready to face Dirty Dango tonight, he is the acting Director of Authority. He also announces that we will hear from "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander for the first time since his return at Slammiversary, and that ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) will have their tag team title rematch against Subculture (Mark Andrews and "Flash" Morgan Webster) tonight. As he is announcing that Jake Something is here tonight, The Good Hands show up. John Skyler calls D'Amore "a typical Canadian" and a coward by hiding behind his position of authority before they can hand him a receipt. D'Amore dares them to get in the ring, which they do, and Jason Hotch calls D'Amore a thorn in The Good Hands' side as well as a roadblock before Skyler says D'Amore is overdue for a beating from them. D'Amore responds by saying that "good hands need to throw down," then announces their opponents for tonight: Rich Swann and Sami Callihan, who head to the ring for the next match.

Backstage, we hear from ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey). Chris Bey says Slammiversary was supposed to be the best night ever, but The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) stopped them from retaining the World Tag Team titles. He tells The Rascalz to go somewhere else and that they will take their titles back. The Rascalz show up, and Trey Miguel wants a fight. Chris Bey stops Ace Austin at first, but then he throws the first punch. Security stops the brawl, and Scott D'Amore ejects The Rascalz from the arena. Johnny Swinger and "Outlandish" Zicky Dice then show up, and Swinger asks what he has to do to get a win. D'Amore admits the "fifty wins" idea was misguided, and says that if Swinger wins one match, he has a title shot. He then says the match is against Zicky, and if he loses, he is gone from Impact. Zicky tells Swinger he will lay down for him when D'Amore leaves, then D'Amore comes back and makes the match a Loser Leaves IMPACT match, putting Zicky's job at IMPACT on the line as well.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Eric Young, who says it feels "amazing" and "right" to be back home and that he has a story to tell and a history to address. He says that as much as he loves history and tradition, he loves change, then "The National Treasure" Nick Aldis shows up. Aldis welcomes him back and admits he does not like his loss from Slammiversary, then says that they both know each other and that he has a colleague in his war against Internet darlings who want to take over the company. Eric Young says he has mentioned what his new direction is, and while Nick Aldis has some good points and history is beautiful, he says that neither of them will be put in a box before saying they can have a match as part of "a beautiful history." Aldis and Eric shake hands.

We hear from Jake Something, who says that he is back and that everything in IMPACT will be his.

Courtney Rush beats Savannah Evans after Jessicka pulls "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw off the apron to stop her distracting the referee while Jody Threat shows up and carries Jai Vidal off after grabbing him by the ponytail.

We hear from The Coven (Taylor Wilde and KiLynn King) Taylor Wilde is irritated that Trinity is IMPACT Knockouts World Championship, and says that she and KiLynn King got screwed by Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly, now known as "MK Ultra." KiLynn King tells Dani Luna and Trinity that they are coming to kick their asses and make a statement, and Taylor Wilde says The Coven does not need batteries to glow.

IMPACT Wrestling thanks Windsor, Ontario, Canada, St. Clair College, Windsor Councillor Renaldo Agostino for their hospitality as last weekend was proclaimed and declared "IMPACT Wrestling Weekend" in the city of Windsor by Councillor Agostino. It is also announced that Slammiversary marked IMPACT's highest-attended event in four years, and that IMPACT hopes to return to Windsor in the near future.

In footage from earlier today, Tom Hannifan interviews Jonathan Gresham, who says that he can no longer hold his title anymore after Slammiversary, and asks why the X Division is not governed by a set of rules. He says that he fought for this in Ring of Honor, then says the X Division has no rules. Gresham then says this environment may not be for him, then leaves.

Dirty Dango beats Santino Marella after a person in riot gear shows up and attacks Santino as he goes for the Cobra. After the match, the person in the riot gear is revealed to be John E. Bravo.

Backstage, "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw and Savannah Evans run into MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly) as they look for Jai Vidal. Gisele tells them to get out of her way, and Masha tells her to make them. Jody then returns Jai Vidal and tells them this had better be the last time she carries him off. Jai Vidal is shaken as Gisele demands a wardrobe change.

Backstage, we hear from Eddie and Alisha Edwards. Alisha says Traci Brooks being the equalizer at Slammiversary was not going to happen and that Traci is not half the woman she is. Traci shows up with Frankie Kazarian, then both sides brawl and security has to rush in.

Subculture (Mark Andrews and "Flash" Morgan Webster) retain the IMPACT World Tag Team Championships against ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) after The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) show up. Wentz distracts the referee while Trey attacks Ace Austin from behind, and after a chain of pinfall reversals between Chris Bey and Mark Andrews, Andrews rolls Bey up to retain.

"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander heads to the ring. Alexander proclaims that it is good to be back, and that there is nothing that could wipe the smile off of his face right now. Alexander says that he loves the fans and that he loves Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and admits it is a little bittersweet being here, because the last time he was in an IMPACT ring, it was in Windsor, and it was one of the toughest days of his career and his life as he relinquished the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship that he fought so hard to win and keep. He tells the fans not to worry, as he will earn some gold, and with that being said, he took a lot of pride in being IMPACT World Champion, as he got to realize his dream when IMPACT took a chance on him and gave him the opportunity he needed and got, and he made the most of that opportunity. Josh then says it was all taken away from him in an instant due to a freak accident and he had to relinquish his title, and he promised that he would come back better than ever. Josh states he believed that promise wholeheartedly, but afterwards, he doubted himself for the first time in a long time as to whether or not he would follow through on that promise. When Rebellion happened, he watched as a fan, and at the end of the night, he saw Steve Maclin holding up the IMPACT World Champonship and got all the fuel he needed, and the sling come off and he went to work to get better. Josh says he worked to rehab and work more than the day before, and now, he is standing on his own two feet "100% medically cleared for in-ring competition." He then announces he is not here just to compete, but to take back the IMPACT World Championship. Josh admits he wanted to say this to Steve Maclin's face, but then Alex Shelley shocked the world and cemented his name amongst the greats when he became IMPACT World Champion at Against All Odds, and he was not surprised, for he knew how good Alex Shelley was. Josh then asks "Is Alex Shelley good enough to beat Josh Alexander?" Alex Shelley shows up, and says that while Josh coming back in four months is impressive, he knew he would consider the World Championship his because he never lost it. He then says the World Championship is his now, as he challenged for it twice and beat Maclin's ass the second time after having lost to Alexander. Shelley then reiterates Josh's question from earlier and talks about how Josh was able to live a dream as world champion, then tells Josh that at some point, he has to wake up. As for a rematch, Shelley says they should have one. Lio Rush then shows up and reminds both Josh and Shelley that he beat Chris Sabin and won the X Division Championship like he said he would, then states that if he wants to be World Champion, then there is only one thing he has to do: exercise Option C. KUSHIDA then shows up with the X from the Ultimate X Match around his neck and raises the microphone up before telling KUSHIDA there will be no Option C until Lio Rush faces him. Bully Ray then shows up, and as everyone in the ring is focused on him, Shelley, KUSHIDA and Josh are attacked from behind by Moose and Brian Myers, and Bully Ray joins in. Moose, Bully and Myers then give Lio Rush the opportunity to blast Shelley with the X Division Championship, but he walks out, and the three of them lay out Alex Shelley to end the show. (When the segment airs on AXS TV, it airs with absolutely no sound, and the show goes off with no warning after Bully Ray's entrance. The segment is also muted on Fight Network as well. Meanwhile, the YouTube members-only premiere was unaffected. As a result, the segment is aired in full on YouTube soon after the show goes off the air, and IMPACT Wrestling apologizes to the fanbase for the technical issues.)

Dalton Castle beats Shane Taylor in the finals of the ROH World Television Championship Eliminator Tournament to earn a shot at the ROH World Television Championship at Death Before Dishonor.

"The Technical Beast" Josh Woods beats Jame Stone in a Pure Rules Match.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Willow Nightingale and Tony Khan. Tony Khan announces that based on Willow's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament win and her win against Athena in the semi-finals, as well as their history in ROH, Willow will face Athena for the ROH Women's World Championship at Death Before Dishonor. Willow says she is still on a high from her Owen Hart Tournament win, then says she has been in the ring with Athena twice and has learned how to be in the ring with someone like her and not only has a win against her, but she has championship victories under her belt at this point and she promises to bring a big fight. Meanwhile, in footage from earlier today, Athena argues in vain with Stokely Hathaway and Jerry Lynn about having to defend her championship, saying she is not doing this match after having single-handedly carrying ROH and the women's division and that she will go over their heads and get Tony Khan to veto this decision. Tony Khan shows up and makes the match official, much to Athena's chagrin.

Athena beats Nikita in an ROH Women's World Championship Proving Ground Match with one punch while still wearing street clothes instead of her usual wrestling gear. After the match, Athena gives Nikita a beating and scares the referee out of the ring, then Willow Nightingale shows up and has a staredown with Athena in the ring.

The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) beat The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate). After the match, Evil Uno shows up with a chair, and Stu Grayson hits Nightfall on one of The Boys.

"Legit" Leyla Hirsch beats Nicole Matthews.

The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) beat The Bollywood Boyz (Harv and Gurv Sihra), The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry) and the team of Action Andretti and Darius Martin in a four-way tag team match.

Fyter Fest, Week Two - Dynamite recap for July 20, 2022

Brody King beats Darby Allin. After the match, Brody King attacks Darby and chokes him out again, but Sting shows up. As he goes for the Scorpion Death Drop, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Malakai Black and Sting are staring each other down in the ring. Brody King chokes out Sting, and Malakai Black spits black mist into Sting's eyes. Sting soon fades, then Miro shows up and stares Malakai and Brody down from the ramp.

Backstage, Tony Schaivone interviews Cole Karter when Team Taz ("Absolute" Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs). Ricky Starks makes reference to the death of Cole Karter's previous gimmick Troy Donovan from NXT, then says nothing has changed since last time and nothing will change tonight. Karter tells Ricky Starks that his future will start looking a little dim when he takes the FTW Championship from him tonight.

William Regal and Orange Cassidy guest on commentary for the next match.

The Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta) beat Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta) with a seatbelt pin from Yuta to Chuck Taylor.

We see a video package for Claudio Castagnoli vs. Jonathan Gresh for the ROH World Championship at Death Before Dishonor.

Swerve In Our Glory (Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee) heads to the ring for their tag team title celebration. As rapper Kevin Gates is seen in the crowd, Swerve says that he had Kevin Gates come through with their new theme, then Keith Lee wants to know when Gates is dropping the deluxe version of his new album before thanking the fans. After revealing a new Swerve In Our Glory T-shirt, he says that it is due to the fans that they are on top of the tag team division before stating that they do not look down and having a toast to their tag title reign. "Smart" Mark Sterling and "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese soon show up and tells Swerve In Our Glory that they got lucky and that Keith Lee is lucky that Swerve did not stab him in the back. He then says their petition to remove Swerve from AEW is almost complete. Sterling also asks Kevin Gates to sign the petition, but Gates refuses. Sterling then tells Gates that he is untrustworthy and his music sucks, then Gates crosses over the guardrail and Tony Nese stands between him and Sterling only to get punched out. Swerve then throws the nearby celebration cake into Sterling's face.

Backstage, John Silver gifts The Butcher with a "Butch" shirt. Alex Reynolds also gitts The Blade with a "Butch" shirt. The end results is The Butcher and The Blade beating Silver and Reynolds up until Adam Page chases them away with a chair.

Christian Cage and Luchsaurus beat The Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.). After the match, Jungle Boy returns for the first time since Christian turned on him with a chair in his hand. Luchasaurus stands between him and Christian, but soon stands next with him. Jungle Boy chases Christian into the crowd.

Backstage, Lexi Nair interviews The Gunn Club (Billy, Austin and Colten Gunn). Colten says they would not accept a match with The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) after cutting them out of their lives, and Austin got tired of being in their raps. Austin then says he wants Max Caster in a rap battle this week on Rampage.

Jim Ross joins commentary for the second hour.

"Absolute" Ricky Starks retains the FTW Championship against Cole Karter. After the match, Starks says he has a little more left in the tank and that this is the right time to keep it coming, then asks for another challenge. That challenge is answered by Danhausen. Starks tells Danhausen that the match is not happening right now, but makes it official for next week.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale and Athena. The three of them agree that they should re-evaluate what they want in WWE, then Willow says that she and Athena have The Baddies under control tonight.

Wheeler says that 2022 has been a good year for them and that there was no bigger match than at Supercard of Honor when they went to war with The Briscoes until Saturday's rematch. He says that The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) have helped lift tag team wrestling up, but they will not take from them what they have worked for. Dax Harwood talks how his daughter had a hole in the bottom of her heart and worked hard for three years for that hole to shut. He says that if his daughter will fight that hard for something that is not promised, then he will "fight like an eight-year-old girl" in order to maintain a legacy his daughter will be proud of.

Backstage, Lexi Nair interviews Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh. Dutt only cares about Lethal becoming ROH World Television Champion on Saturday, then Christopher Daniels then shows up and says Samoa Joe will get the job done on Saturday. Christopher Daniels then challenges Lethal to a match on Rampage.

Before the next match, Stokely Hathaway says that the bad news is that Leila Grey is unable to compete, but the good news is that Kris Statlander is banned from ringside, as "there will be no head slappin' up in here." Jade Cargill says that everyone from friends to fans to family are in the house tonight and that she will show why she has been, is and will always be "that bitch."

The Baddies (Jade Cargill and Kiera Hogan) beat Athena and Willow Nightingale.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Thunderstorm. Thunder Rosa says that Miya Yamashita may be the best in Japan, but she is keeping the AEW Women's World Championship. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Jamie Hayter shows up and says she hopes Thunder Rosa loses before stating that she and Hayter will be in tag team action on Rampage.

Before the next match, The Jericho Appreciation Society (Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker, "Magic Daddy" Matt Menard) are locked in a shark cage that is raised up into the air by Ruby Soho.

"The Painmaker" Chris Jericho beats Eddie Kingston in a Barbed Wire Everywhere Match. During the match, Tay Conti shows up and attacks Ruby Soho. Anna Jay runs in and confronts Tay before attacking Ruby Soho herself and lowering the shark cage so that Tay Conti can unlock it. The Jericho Appreciation Society (Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker, "Magic Daddy" Matt Menard) go to town on Eddie Kingston, but Ortiz and The Blackpool Combat Club run into even the numbers game. Ortiz hits Jericho with a madbull, then Kingston suplexes Jericho through a table. Jericho hits Kingston with a Codebreaker and the barbed wire chair, but Kingston throws the chair at Jericho as he goes for the Lionsault and hits the spinning back fist, then grabs some barbed wire from underneath the ring and tries to make Jericho tap. Sammy Guevara shows up and attacks Kingston, and Jericho is able to hit Kingston with the Judas Effect to get the win. After the match, Kingston fends off Jericho and Guevara, then throws him into the web of barbed wire in front of the ring to end the show.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 20, 2021

Samoa Joe heads to the ring to start tonight's show. He tells Karrion Kross that he has come to smack his clock, then NXT General Manager William Regal shows up and tells Joe that this is not what he had in mind, and tells him he cannot call out Superstars. Joe reminds Regal of the "unless provoked" agreement, but Regal tells Joe that he was in a referee capacity, not a management one. Joe tells him that semantics do not matter and that Kross needs to be put under control. Regal tells Joe that Kross is on his way and that all hell will not break loose, as Joe will handle this peacefully. Joe tells Regal it will be the end of this, but he will not guarantee it will be peaceful and that tonight, someone will be going to sleep.

We hear from Xia Li, who says she has been waiting for this moment, as it is the most important of her career and she will be NXT Women's Champion. She plans to do to Raquel Gonzalez what she did to Mercedes Martinez, and leave tonight as the first Chinese NXT Women's Champion.

Bobby Fish and KUSHIDA beat Diamond Mine (Roderick Strong and Tyler Rust) with a Hoverboard Lock from KUSHIDA to Tyler Rust.

In footage from earlier today, Cameron Grimes gets LA Knight's bags. Drake Maverick offers to help, and when LA Knight offers to help, Knight confronts Maverick and proposes they have a match later tonight while Grimes fumbles with the bags.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory. Gargano says he has been better, but he is doing okay. Meanwhile, Kyle O'Reilly shows up and confronts Austin Theory for his comments about him. Kyle O'Reilly then challenges Austin Theory to a match, and Theory accepts. Gargano then tells Theory he is on his own tonight, telling him he got himself into this and that he will have to get himself out of it.

For the next two weeks, NXT will be moving to Tuesday nights on SyFy at 8 PM Eastern/7 PM Central.

In footage from earlier today, Wade Barrett interviews Bronson Reed. Reed calls winning the NXT North American Championship a big moment in his life, but suddenly, he was no longer champion. He says he has to push forward and fight harder than ever. Regarding his match with Adam Cole next week, everyone considers Cole the best, and he wants to face the best. He says he shut Cole down for running his mouth, and next week, he will finish the job.

Kyle O'Reilly beats Austin Theory after O'Reilly snaps, unloads a flurry of offense on Theory and puts him in the heel hook. After the match, the referee has to break the hold.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez. Raquel says that Xia Li will not fulfill her destiny, and Dakota says that Raquel will destroy Xia Li for taking the spotlight from them last week. Raquel says that Tian Sha (Xia Li, Boa, Mei Ying) does not scare her, and that when she is done, there will be no one left.

Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza) is in the ring for a mariachi celebration, but Santos Escobar says that he will not need the mariachi band tonight. He then says that he was going to give the fans a taste of his musical heritage, but he changed his mind. Escobar says he will not lower himself to entertain the fans, for they are not worth it, and says he will not do "the Hit Row thing" to embarrass himself in a battle of styles, as his style is being the true and real champion. He then says he will take the NXT North American Championship and hold it with respect, then Hit Row (Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, Ashante "Thee" Adonis, Top Dolla, B-Fab) shows up. Ashante "Thee" Adonis says Escobar is "talkin' spicy," then B-Fab calls mariachi music "trash." Top Dolla says he is like Pablo Escobar, and says that he smells cats when he sees Legado del Fantasma. Top Dolla then makes fun of Legado del Fantasma's height before Swerve calls winning the North American Championship payback for Swerve keeping him from winning the Cruiserweight Championship, then makes fun of how Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza joined Legado del Fantasma and says he will make Escobar his bitch. Escobar tells Swerve he can make "nursery rhymes" all night, as he is taking the North American Championship to Mexico. Hit Row enters the ring, and both groups brawl. Escobar grabs a guitar, but B-Fab takes it away and hands it to Swerve. Escobar ducks the guitar and runs away, but Swerve catches Joaquin Wilde getting in the ring. Wilde is quickly surrounded and outnumbered, and he ends up the victim of a guitar shot to the back.

Backstage, The Way (Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Austin Theory, Indi Hartwell) agree that things have been going awfully before them. As Gargano, Hartwell and Candace argue, Theory leaves, saying that The Way is falling apart.

Backstage, General Manager William Regal tells a pacing Samoa Joe to calm down, and Joe tells him he will be the first person to greet Karrion Kross when he gets here. Regal tells him to end things with Kross peacefully.

Odyssey Jones beats Andre Chase to advance in the NXT Breakout Tournament.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews MSK (Nash Carter and Wes Lee). Nash Carter says that they are looking for the next challengers, as they will take on any and all challengers. As MSK address what "MSK" means, they are interrupted by Imperium (Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel). Marcel Barthel says the mat is sacred to them, and Fabian Aichner calls the rest of the tag team division an embarrassment. After Barthel says that they will protect the sanctity of pro wrestling by any means necessary, the fans miss out on the meaning of "MSK."

We hear from Pete Dunne and Oney Lorcan. Pete Dunne says he dared anyone who thinks they are badder or a better technician to step up, and Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher did. He and Oney then challenge them to a match. Oney Lorcan says he is down for a scrap, and that next week, he and Dunne will see how tough Thatcher and Ciampa really are.

Drake Maverick beats LA Knight after Maverick shoves Knight's head into the Million Dollar Championship as Knight demands that Cameron Grimes hold it up in the air at ringside at all times. Drake Maverick takes advantage of this and shoves Knight's head into the championship to get the win. After the match, Knight attacks Maverick, then blames Grimes for the loss. An angry Grimes then pulls Knight off Maverick and tells him the match is over, but Knight tells Grimes to attack Maverick. Grimes walks away, but Knight throws Grimes back into the ring and tells him to uphold their deal. A reluctant Grimes then punches Maverick in the face, then Knight celebrates.

Outside of the arena, Samoa Joe runs towards a black sports car and pulls the driver out. The driver tells him that Karrion Kross is already here and is out front.

Raquel Gonzalez retains the NXT Women's Championship against Xia Li. During the match, Xia Li is hurt, and medical staff have to check on her. Xia Li is soon released back into the match by medical staff, but this allows Raquel Gonzalez to hit Xia Li with a choke slam and retain. After the match, Samoa Joe gets in the ring and calls out Karrion Kross, who tells him that there will be a reckoning and that he will stomp him all over the arena. Karrion Kross appears on the TitanTron and says this is not the same world he walked out of, that this is his NXT and that this is his future, and that the NXT Championship allows him to do whatever he wants, including hurting General Manager William Regal, who is knocked out. As Joe runs to the back, Kross asks Joe if he thinks he is still in control, then drives off. An angry Joe barely misses Kross on his way out.

We hear from "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes, who tells Aaron Solow that he has been in the business for five decades. He says that there are times when one must choose a side, and that Aaron Solow picked the wrong side by joining The Factory and hitting him with a steel chair. He then says that Solow is stepping into his backyard, and tonight, he needs him to strap up, look deep into his eyes and know he is taking him out.

The Blade beats Ryan Mantell.

Thunder Rosa beats KiLynn King with the Peruvian Necktie.

The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) beat The Dark Order (Alan "5" Angels and Preston "10" Vance) and The Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) in an eight-man tag match. Despite Julia Hart takes the boombox away from Anthony Bowens, Private Party is able to hit Angels with Gin and Juice, allowing Max Caster to get the win. After the match, Bowens apologizes to Julia Hart for his comments last week, then says he and Caster don't give a shit. He says he and Caster are tired of playing second fiddle to a tag team whose strongest member is a cheerleader who loves to be tag teamed, and says they will not stop until they get a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

The Bunny beats Big Swole. During the match, Diamante shows up and calls Big Swole "Big Mouth," distracting Big Swole as she takes a seat at the timekeeper's table to get a closer look at the match. Later on in the match, Diamanate kicks Big Swole in the head as The Blade distracts referee Aubrey Edwards, allowing The Bunny to grab the tights during a schoolkid pin to win the match.

Wardlow quickly beats Chad Lennex by referee stoppage.

Backstage, Big Swole calls out Diamante, saying she does not like people messing with her money or her winning streak like she just did, and says that Diamante is wanting attention. She says that the match Diamante wants can be done any place and any time that Diamante wants.

Before the next match, QT Marshall says that Austin, Texas was at one point the home of Aaron Solow, and that people are booing him because he left the town to go to Georgia to make it big in professional wrestling . He then says he is not a glory hog and gives the microphone to Solow, who says that this is a big night for him, as he is facing "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes and has never been on big a stage as this. After making fun of the local bars, he tells the crowd to cheer very loudly for Dustin, as he is in his prime while Dustin has been in the business for five decades, and that this is probably the last time Dustin will wrestle in Austin, Texas.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 20, 2020

Seth Rollins and Murphy show up to start tonight's show. It is announced that Rey Mysterio's eye was not severed last night and that there is hope that he will be able to recover and maintain his vision. As the crowd shames Rollins, Rollins mentions that Rey Mysterio's eye came out of its socket, and that he understood going into his match last night what the "Eye For An Eye" stipulation entailed. Rollins then admits that what happened last night will stay with him for the rest of his life, as it was "disgusting, barbaric, violent and more than [he] expected," and it made him sick to his stomach both figuratively and literally. When asked if he regrets his actions, Rollins asks the fans if they regret what they have done to him, as this was not his decision and they made him the "Monday Night Messiah," and blames them for what happened to Rey. Rollins also mentions that Rey asked for this stipulation, and that actions have consequences. He then mentions that what happened last night was ugly and unfortunate, but the past cannot be dwelled on, as Rey is "out of sight" and Raw is free to fulfill its potential. As Rollins says that nobody is left to stand in the way of the greater good, Aleister Black shows up. Aleister tells Rollins that what happened last night is on his hands, and that he is here to rectify everything. He then runs into the ring and kicks Murphy on the way over there, and he is soon forced to beat Murphy up. Aleister sends Murphy over the announce table before chasing Rollins out of the ring.

Seth Rollins beats Aleister Black. After the match, Rollins sics Murphy on Aleister, and the two of them go on the attack. Rollins them slams Aleister's right arm into the ring post and attacks it further by slamming it on the announce table while screaming "When's enough enough?!?" Rollins then stomps the top of the announce table into Aleister's right arm before referees show up to check on Aleister.

Backstage, Ron Simmons tells MVP and Bobby Lashley to think about what he has told them, and that there is a better way. Simmons leaves, then R-Truth shows up with a frying pan in his hand. MVP asks R-Truth to join them, but R-Truth declines as he does not want to be put in the full nelson. Suddenly, Shelton Benjamin attacks Truth from behind and pins R-Truth to become the new WWE 24/7 Champion. MVP asks Shelton to join him and Lashley, which Shelton accepts.

MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin show up. MVP declares that he became the new WWE United States Champion last night without breaking a sweat after Lashley ragdolled Apollo Crews so hard that he stayed home. He says he makes history, not excuses, and that his victory was a foregone conclusion, and once they are done with Ricochet and Cedric Alexander, they are going to party. Cedric says that all he sees is a coward carrying a championship he did not earn while standing behind Bobby Lashley, and that he and Ricochet will become champions again without him. MVP says he, Lashley and Shelton are "the hurt business" while Ricochet and Cedric are "two kids who should have stayed in catering" and challenges them to a tag team match. Ricochet and Cedric reveal they have a third man waiting to return to Raw: Mustafa Ali, who has not been in a WWE ring in months. Lashley rushes at them only to eat three superkicks, then Ricochet and Cedric force MVP and Lashley to retreat.

Backstage, Randy Orton says that he thinks about the moments back in time that changed his life, and Orton says that while he does, the one moment he is referring to is when he slammed a steel chair into Edge's neck back in January. Orton says he made a lot of friendships, but those friendships are not etched in stone and those friendships are gone, and while he has friends who have saved him from himself, it felt good when he laid them out. Orton says he will punt Big Show in his skull and enjoy ending his career once and for all tonight.

Backstage, Ron Simmons is seen talking with The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik).

We see a video package of Big Show's professional wrestling career.

Christian is interviewed via satellite. Christian says that Randy Orton is one of the best in the business, and while he knew what he was getting into with his unsanctioned match with Orton, he did not expect to be attacked by "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. He says that he will never look at Flair or Orton the same way, and that he may never be the same again. He says he would face Orton again if it meant Orton getting what was coming to him, and says that Show has a lot of people in his corner and is ready for any traps Orton has for him. He says he cannot wait for Big Show to knock Orton out cold.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Bianca Belair, but she is soon encountered by Peyton Royce, who calls Belair nosy for sticking her nose where it didn't belong. Ruby Riott shows up and mocks Peyton Royce as well as Billie Kay's absence. Peyton tells Ruby Riott that she has beaten her once before and that she should forfeit, and tells Bianca to talk less and think more before she ends up like Liv Morgan. Bianca stands between Peyton and Ruby and says that Peyton will get "an IIconic ass whuppin'."

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Angel Garza, Andrade and Zelina Vega. Zelina says that playtime is over and that Garza and Andrade are on the same page while The Street Profits have been in hiding. She says that The Street Profits will be too scared to show up, and Andrade says they will be one step closer to becoming tag team champions. Garza says that he is ready for the opportunity, then gets jumped by The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford). Andrade and Garza are attacked by Ford and Dawkins, who then run away.

Backstage, Zelina Vega chews out Andrade and Garza. Andrade and Garza say they are on the same page, and Zelina tells them to prove it.

Bayley and Sasha Banks show up. Sasha says people are accusing her of stealing the Raw Women's Championship, but says that she fought for the title while Asuka had it given to her. She also says that the referee in the match could not continue after getting the green mist in his face, and that Bayley had to don the referee's shirt. Bayley says she had to do the right thing and make the count, but the people do not get it. Sasha then brags that she and Bayley have all the gold, then The Kabuki Warriors show up. Asuka says Sasha was not ready for her, and she was not ready for a thief. Asuka says the Raw Women's title is hers, and Bayley dares her to come and get it, then Stephanie McMahon show sup on the TitanTron. Stephanie declares that Sasha did not win last week, but neither did Asuka, and next week, there will be a match to determine the rightful champion, and if she is either counted-out or disqualified or if Bayley gets involved, she will lose. The Kabuki Warriors then rush into the ring and force Bayley and Sasha to regroup.

Kairi Sane beats Bayley after countering the Bayley-To-Belly into a schoolkid pin. Backstage during the match, Charly Caruso interviews "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, who is watching the match from backstage. She says nobody deserves the spotlight more than her, and that she has a vested interest in the match like a shark has a vested interest in prey.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Drew McIntyre, who says that he feels like he has fallen down several flights of stairs after last night and that he is heading to the ring to discuss his future.

Drew McIntyre shows up. Drew gives credit where credit is due to Dolph Ziggler for his stipulation from last night, as it completely swayed the match to his favor and he took the stipulation to the fullest to the point where he almost had him. He then says that almost doing things is the story of Ziggler's career before he focuses on SummerSlam, saying he wants a worthy opponent. Suddenly, Ziggler shows up. Ziggler says he saw fear in McIntyre's eyes for the first time in a long time last night, and that he came close to becoming WWE Champion. As he says nobody talks about his journey, McIntyre tells him to bugger off. Ziggler persists, saying that McIntyre saw what he was capable of, but McIntyre says he will save him the embarrassment and leave. Ziggler grabs him, but he gets headbutted, and McIntyre tells Ziggler that the answer is no. Ziggler grabs the microphone and tells him not to leave, and says he deserves a rematch, even going so far as to let McIntyre name the stipulation. McIntyre says that Ziggler changed his mind, and that he accepts before leaving. When Ziggler asks what the stipulation is, McIntyre says he will do exactly what Ziggler did to him and tell him right before the bell rings at SummerSlam.

We hear from Big Show, who says that Randy Orton has had an incredible year so far from lashing out at anyone who tells him there is more than living off his last name. He knows he is on Orton's list, and he would be foolish not to know what jeopardy his health and career is in. He had hoped that version of Orton would never show up again, but the voices in his head got a little too loud. He says that regardless of who turned up the volume between Orton and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, it has influenced Orton to take people out permanently. Big Show goes on to talk about their history of being on the road together and how they talked about being tigers that couldn't change their stripes, which bonded the two of them as friends as they knew what the other was dealing with. He then says that has changed now, as Orton is now a sadistic killer with his name on it. Big Show has asked himself if this is the end of the line for him, and admits it might be, but says that tigers are most dangerous when they sense the end. He says it is because tigers will do anything and everything to survive, and that he will do anything and everything to ensure Orton does not write the ending to his story.

Next week: Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler! Drew McIntyre picks the stipulation for their match at SummerSlam (even though Drew has said that he will make Ziggler wait until SummerSlam not even that long ago)!

Jonathan Gresham beats Kenny King, Jeff Cobb and Dalton Castle in a Four Corner Survival Match after timekeeper Amy Rose handing a shoe to Kenny King backfires when Gresham gets the shoe and hits Kenny from behind outside of the referee's field of vision. Once again, Amy Rose heads to the back with Kenny King.

Backstage, Eli Isom says The Shinobi Shadow Squad (Cheeseburger, Ryan Nova, Isom) feel great to be #1 contenders to the six man titles. Cheeseburger says it will feel even greater when they win the titles. Ryan Nova says they will take what is theirs when they storm Villian Enterprises ("The Villian" Marty Scurll, Brody King, PCO) and leave them bankrupt.

It is announced that Sumie Sakai will return to action and take on Karissa Rivera in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

LifeBlood ("Overkill" Mark Haskins, "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams, Bandido) show up. Haskins says that Villian Enterprises ("The Villian" Marty Scurll, Brody King, PCO) thought they could pull a fast one by having Flip Gordon fool them only to join Villian Enterprises, then calls them out. Villian Enterprises and Flip Gordon show up, and Scurll introduces Flip as Villain Enterprises' newest employee before telling Flip he did more than enough at Best In The World. He asks him to take the night off and watch how they do business in the back. As for LifeBlood, he is not defending the six-man titles, but Tracy Williams they are here for a fight, not for the titles, and proposes that they have a six-man Philadelphia Street Fight. Scurll accepts the challenge, and tells LifeBlood to be careful what they wish for.
