Alexander says that he loves the fans and that he loves Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and admits it is a little bittersweet being here, because the last time he was in an IMPACT ring, it was in Windsor, and it was one of the toughest days of his career and his life as he relinquished the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship that he fought so hard to win and keep. He tells the fans not to worry, as he will earn some gold, and with that being said, he took a lot of pride in being IMPACT World Champion, as he got to realize his dream when IMPACT took a chance on him and gave him the opportunity he needed and got, and he made the most of that opportunity. Josh then says it was all taken away from him in an instant due to a freak accident and he had to relinquish his title, and he promised that he would come back better than ever. Josh states he believed that promise wholeheartedly, but afterwards, he doubted himself for the first time in a long time as to whether or not he would follow through on that promise. When Rebellion happened, he watched as a fan, and at the end of the night, he saw Steve Maclin holding up the IMPACT World Champonship and got all the fuel he needed, and the sling come off and he went to work to get better. Josh says he worked to rehab and work more than the day before, and now, he is standing on his own two feet "100% medically cleared for in-ring competition." He then announces he is not here just to compete, but to take back the IMPACT World Championship. Josh admits he wanted to say this to Steve Maclin's face, but then Alex Shelley shocked the world and cemented his name amongst the greats when he became IMPACT World Champion at Against All Odds, and he was not surprised, for he knew how good Alex Shelley was. Josh then asks "Is Alex Shelley good enough to beat Josh Alexander?" Alex Shelley shows up, and says that while Josh coming back in four months is impressive, he knew he would consider the World Championship his because he never lost it. He then says the World Championship is his now, as he challenged for it twice and beat Maclin's ass the second time after having lost to Alexander. Shelley then reiterates Josh's question from earlier and talks about how Josh was able to live a dream as world champion, then tells Josh that at some point, he has to wake up. As for a rematch, Shelley says they should have one. Lio Rush then shows up and reminds both Josh and Shelley that he beat Chris Sabin and won the X Division Championship like he said he would, then states that if he wants to be World Champion, then there is only one thing he has to do: exercise Option C. KUSHIDA then shows up with the X from the Ultimate X Match around his neck and raises the microphone up before telling KUSHIDA there will be no Option C until Lio Rush faces him. Bully Ray then shows up, and as everyone in the ring is focused on him, Shelley, KUSHIDA and Josh are attacked from behind by Moose and Brian Myers, and Bully Ray joins in. Moose, Bully and Myers then give Lio Rush the opportunity to blast Shelley with the X Division Championship, but he walks out, and the three of them lay out Alex Shelley to end the show. (When the segment airs on AXS TV, it airs with absolutely no sound, and the show goes off with no warning after Bully Ray's entrance. The segment is also muted on Fight Network as well. Moose says he has something to prove, and while Rich Swann beat him, they will beat Rich Swann and Sami Callihan.
We hear from Dirty Dango. He says that he hadn't watched pro wrestling since "it was cool" in 1998, and when he got into the business, he was let down by how much it had changed. He says that the nearby concrete buckling is more fun than getting in the ring with someone who is nervous and will injure him, and tells the IMPACT roster to go back to school. He calls Director of Authority Santino Marella "a one-hit wonder" who is still living in 2005 and is the wrestling equivalent of "Yoko Ono performing in concert and yodeling the whole time." He also calls Heath, who he will face next week, as "another hanger-on" who will never get the jump on him again before telling him he should find work at Home Depot, and says the last thing Heath should be doing is becoming the next Santino Marella.
Jonathan Gresham beats Angels with the Octopus. After the match, Deaner tells Angels to leave the ring when Gresham offers to shake Angels' hand. We hear from ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey). Suddenly, The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) show up wanting a shot at the tag team titles, but Bey tells them that while they have won tag team gold elsewhere, they have never won it in IMPACT, and that they need to go to the back of the line. She proposes that they prove that next week when she issues a championship open challenge so she does not forget that. Trinity says she will not forget if Deonna educates herself before Slammiversary.
Before the next match, John Skyler says picked a fight with Scott D'Amore, who has taken a leave of absence from IMPACT Wrestling, only to have a fight with PCO, who has taken a leave of absence from reality. He says that monsters are usually scary, but after looking at the crowd, he cannot tell between PCO and "the mutants out here in Georgia" before stating that PCO will be the monster who is slain by "these good hands."
PCO beats The Good Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) in a two-on-one handicap match. After the match, Jason Hotch confronts Scott D'Amore, and when he pokes D'Amore in the chest, D'Amore takes his glasses and watch off. Hotch slaps D'Amore, but D'Amore fights back and hits him with the Sky High. Before he can hit Hotch with a Canadian Destroyer, Bully Ray shows up, and Steve Maclin shows up from behind and hits PCO with a low blow before smacking D'Amore with a chair. Bully Ray gets in the ring and hits both PCO and D'Amore with the chair before Maclin handcuffs D'Amore to the top rope. Maclin instructs Hotch to get a table out from underneath the ring, and a handcuff D'Amore spits at Maclin before Bully Ray throws D'Amore's watch at him.
