The Teardrop Xplodes - Xplosion recap for February 2, 2024

Rhino beats Champagne Singh. After the match, Rhino is attacked from behind with a low blow by Crazzy Steve, who proceeds to blast Rhino with the Digital Media Championship. Crazzy Steve then tells Rhino has nobody to blame but himself and that he is a hypocrite, then says he is here to add notches to his belt and that Rhino can be the first.

We look back at Matt Morgan vs. Sting vs. Hernandez vs. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at No Surrender 2009.

Gia Miller interviews Jody Threat for Around The Ring. Jody Threat admits that she is a big fan of brunch due to the mood of it, and considers eggs benedict with salmon and a few capers, with either a Caesar (which is similar to a Bloody Mary, except with clam juice), a black coffee, or water, on a patio during an August late morning/early afternoon in Toronto at 32 degrees Celsius (89 degrees Fahrenheit) as a very good brunch. Gia Miller admits that she has had a raw oyster in a Bloody Mary before.

Before the next match, John Skyler says he is so excited that TNA is back, yet he is also disappointed that it is back in Orlando, Florida, as their most prominent citizen is a cartoon mouse. He says that would be an infestation anywhere else in the country, then says everyone will call Jason Hotch the man that beat a former world champion when he disposes of Rich Swann with "those good hands." After Rich Swann makes his entrance, AJ Francis shows up and guests on commentary for the match.

Jason Hotch beats Rich Swann after A.J. Francis distracts Swann as he goes for the Phoenix Splash, causing Swann to miss and giving Hotch the win.

Final IMPACT - IMPACT Wrestling recap for October 12, 2023

Alan Angels beats Laredo Kid in the BTI match after throwing his wrist tape at the referee to distract him in order to thumb Laredo Kid in the eyes prior to hitting the Angel's Wings.

The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) retain the IMPACT World Tag Team Championships against Rich Swann and Sami Callihan after Trey crotches Swann on the top rope while Wentz hits Sami with a low blow before The Raszcals hit Hot Fire Flame for the win.

Backstage, Kenny King talks to Sheldon Jean about how wrestling is "a cold game" and how he cannot find Director of Authority Santino Marella and keeps running into Scott D'Amore. He says everyone is ducking him and his contractual rematch. Sheldon also mentions that they have "a Heath problem." Kenny King then says Heath has a problem and that it will be just him and Heath, and that Heath will be atoning for his sins.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews KiLynn King. KiLynn calls Jody Threat "a cancer in the women's division" after she attacked her tag team partner and used the ropes to pin her. Director of Authority Santino Marella shows up, and KiLynn King reveals that she attacked Taylor Wilde, not Jody Threat, for being dead weight after they lost the Knockouts tag titles, and that instead of "Long live The Coven," it is "Long live the King."

Dirty Dango beats Jake Something, Dirty Dango, Jordynne Grace and Eric Young after Oleg Prudius - formerly known as Vladmir Kozlov in WWE - takes out both Eric Young and Champagne Singh before headbutting Jake Something from the apron, allowing Dirty Dango to get the pinfall and the win. As per pre-match stipulation, Dirty Dango will enter the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match at #20 while Jake Something, who was pinned, will enter at #1. After the match, Prudis celebrates with Dango and Alpha Bravo.

Backstage, Crazzy Steve sings about the Angel of Death coming to Tommy Dreamer's room and telling him it is time to go before saying he is both amazed and disgusted for Tommy trying to dictate his actions, and that he stabbed him in the back before he could do the same. He then says that when he takes the Digital Media title, he will not be his friend, but his angel of death. As far as Black Taurus goes, they are no longer friends, and that his Digital Media Championship shot is bigger than they ever were. He then says it will not be enough to beat Dreamer, as he has to teach him about pain and misery.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "Speedball" Mike Bailey. Bailey says that when one faces someone like Will Ospreay, one needs momentum, and while he understands Jonathan Gresham's frustrations, he must focus. He then issues an open challenge to anyone who thinks they are on Ospreay's level next week.

Tasha Steelz beats Courtney Rush.

We see a video package for "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander vs. Alex Shelley for the IMPACT World Championship at Bound For Glory We then see footage of "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander teaming with The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Frankie Kazarian beats Eddie Edwards two falls to one (2-1) in the Killer Impact Match. Eddie earns the first fall by pinfall following the Boston Knee Party. Kazarian earns the second fall by submission making Eddie tap almost immediately to the crossface chickenwing after getting up from taking a backpack Stunner. Kazarian earns the third and deciding fall under Last Man Standing rules by putting Eddie through a table after having done the same to Alisha Edwards earlier.

Final IMPACT - IMPACT Wrestling recap for October 5, 2023

Savannah Evans beats Jessicka in the BTI Match.

Tasha Steelz beats Killer Kelly after "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo pulls the referee out of the ring as Kelly has Tasha in a sleeper hold.

Backstage, John Skyler asks Savannah Evans to be her tag team partner. "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw says everyone knows Skyler has been begging online, but Skyler calls Savannah "the first girl" he has asked. Jai Vidal tells Skyler he just messed up, but Gisele mentions Jai Vidal costing her a victory recently and makes him Skyler's tag team partner, much to Skyler's aggravation.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Jonathan Gresham. As Gresham talks about incompetent refs and wrestlers getting away with things, "Speedball" Mike Bailey confronts Gresham wanting to know what he is doing. Gresham walks away.

Tommy Dreamer heads to the ring. Dreamer says he has asked IMPACT for this time to address Crazzy Steve, and calls Crazzy Steve out. Crazzy Steve shows up and heads to the ring with his Feast or Fired briefcase. Dreamer mentions Steve's attack on him with the Feast or Fired briefcase, then mentions that he and Steve have been friends for a long time and that Steve is also legitimately blind. Dreamer also talks about the one night he taught Steve how to drive and how it was the one time he felt normal, then compares what Steve had to go through his mother with what he had to go through with his own father. He says that if Steve wanted a Digital Media title shot, all he had to do was ask, as he and the fans love him, and at the end of the day, it is all about creating moments and Steve is his friend and he deserves it. A visibly sobbing Crazzy Steve hugs Dreamer, but it is all a ruse to stab Dreamer in the back with a fork. Steve tells Dreamer that he is not his friend as referees and security plead with Steve to stop, then leaves with his briefcase.

Jake Something, Dirty Dango, Champagne Singh, Eric Young and Jordynne Grace beat Brian Myers, Shera, KiLynn King, Jody Threat and Bully Ray in a ten-person tag match after Jake Something attacks Dirty Dango and the rest of his team and hits Shera with Into The Void. His team will go on to the five-way match next week that will determine the #1 and #20 spots in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match at Bound For Glory.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Josh Alexander. He says it may not be the wisest decision to take on Kon tonight, but having been a champion, he does not back down from a challenge. He says that iron sharpens iron and that is how one challenges one's self. Alex Shelley shows up and says a champion's mentality can get one in a lot of trouble, and while he has a lot of respect for Alexander for what he has done, he wants to make sure Alexander is at his best at Bound For Glory and will be in his corner to ensure that.

We see a video package chronicling Mickie James' relinquishing of the Knockouts Championship and her return to the championship scene against Trinity at Bound For Glory.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Trinity. Trinity says Mickie James' rematch was to be expected as she never lost the title, but she has known Mickie for years and she owes it to her to bring her best. She also plans to walk out the same way she walks in: as champion.

Before the next match, John Skyler calls the Memphis, Tennessee fans "a bunch of insufferable, illiterate pigs," and says that when he tosses Ace Austin and Chris Bey out of the ring "despite [his] horrible tag partner," he wants the fans to whip them with their good hands.

ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) beat John Skyler and Jai Vidal in a Fans' Revenge Match.

We see a video package chronicling the feud between the team of Eddie and Alisha Edwards and the team of Frankie Kazarian and Traci Brooks.

Moose beats Bhupinder Gujjar. After the match, Steve Maclin shows up and heads to the ring. After the commercial break, Maclin says that the Feast or Fired Briefcase and the World title shot that comes with it is his and that Rhino stopped him from getting it, and demands that Moose hand him the briefcase. Moose says Maclin may be crazy, but he is not dumb, and says there is two of him and one of Maclin, and thinks this is a trick by Bully Ray. Maclin says this is no trick and that Bully Ray has gone soft, then says he is not scared of PO after beating him and he is not scared of Moose. He says that Moose will either give him the briefcase, or he will take it from him. The lights go out, then lightning strikes, and when the lights come back on, PCO is in the ring. Moose and Maclin fight over the briefcase after Myers is booted out of the ring, and PCO clotheslines them both. As Maclin makes his way to the back, he is Gored from out of nowhere by Rhino.

The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) tag the tag team titles with a big green "R," and as Director of Authority Santino Marella chews them out, ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) shows up and challenges The Rascalz for the titles at Bound For Glory. Sami Callihan and Rich Swann show up and mention that they have beaten Subculture, then Santino locks in ABC's cash-in at Bound For Glory before giving a title shot to Sami and Swann.

We hear from Chris Sabin, who says that he and KENTA will make history when they face each other for the first time at Bound For Glory and that he will be walking out as the X Division Champion.

Alex Shelley guests on commentary for the next match.

"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander beats Kon. During the match, the ref goes down after Big Kon's boot hits him as Alexander tries to keep him up. Deaner tries to hit Alexander with a chair on the outside, and Shelley takes the chair away only for Alexander to inadvertently hit him. After the match, Shelley and Alexander have a verbal confrontation in the ring, and when Alexander walks away, Shelley hits him with Shell Shock.

It is announced that Trinity - formerly known as Naomi in WWE - will debut with a live microphone tonight.

Brian Myers and Moose beat Bhupinder Gujjar and Yuya Uemura.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviws Steve Maclin, Champagne Singh and Shera. Maclin says everything he does is tactical and that he knows there are shots coming in every directions. He says allying with someone makes sense, then Singh says rubbing elbows with the World Champion is something money cannot buy. Maclin says tonight's main event is not going to be a six-man tag match, as there is nobody dumb enough to tag with PCO. Singh then gives Gia Miller some money.

Backstage, Dirty Dango tries to get to the bottom of who attacked Director of Authority Santino Marella, and Joe Hendry appears. Dango admits that he lost the tuft of hair that Santino gave him as he focuses on the wall of pictures (which also has George Michael, Tyler Breeze, Tomko and Larry D on it), and says it all leads to Mike Tenay. Joe Hendry mentions Trey Miguel not being happy with being put in a Triple Threat Match that he got angry.

Before the next match, Deaner tells Sami Callihan that he made the biggest mistake of his life when he smashes him in the face with a baseball bat. He then tells the fans that if they think he deserved it, then they are giving Callihan a false sense of hope that he can withstand the challenge in front of him right now. Deaner then tells Callihan that he has not accepted a challenge to face him, but a challenge to fight Kon, who then attacks him. Angels then hits Callihan with the ground and pound before the match.

Sami Callihan vs. Kon ends when The Design's (Deaner, Angels, Kon) army of people in yellow hoodies swarms the ring and attacks Callihan. Deaner then calls off the people in the yellow hoodies and grabs Callihan, telling him he made a mistake. Callihan yells "Do it, bitch!" as Deaner hits Callihan with a baseball bat.

Backstage, Dirty Dango and Joe Hendry interrogate Trey Miguel. Joe Hendry finds out that Trey Miguel is not missing some hair, and lets him go. Trey has no idea what to make of what is going on.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Nick Aldis. Aldis says things are moving fast and there is an electricity in the air since he has returned, and everyone is wondering when he will face Steve Maclin for the IMPACT World Championship. He says he does not expect to waltz into a title shot for a championship with a twenty-year legacy, and he expects to prove his worth on the roster all over again and go through the entire locker room if he has to as he climbs every step on the ladder. Kenny King shows up and says everyone has bending over backwards to welcome him back like he is the second coming, then asks if he is on the fast track or work his way up like everyone else. Aldis accuses Kenny of being a gatekeeper and says he is knocking on the gate, and if he wants to be his first match, he has no problem with it. Kenny says he will have to work his way up to an audience with him and leaves.

Jody Threat beats Alisha Edwards.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley). Sabin says he and Shelley will always be The Motor City Machine Guns no matter what, but that does not mean they can be successful as individuals. He says he is a record-breaking eight-time X Division Champion and wants to be a nine-time champion. As for Shelley, he says that he is considered one of the best to never win the World Championship and that he is going to go and win the World Championship.

We see part two of Gia Miller's backstage sit-down interview with Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian talks about his time in Ring of Honor and how he re-invented himself to the point that he would be part of the ground floor of what became All Elite Wrestling. While he enjoyed being in AEW, he had to bet on himself and return to IMPACT, as his history, legacy and future is here.

PCO's tag team partners are revealed to be Heath and Rhino. Rhino says that while PCO wants to beat Steve Maclin, Champagne Singh and Shera all by himself, he and Heath still have beef with Singh and Shera.

PCO, Heath and Rhino beat Steve Maclin, Champagne Singh and Shera in a six-man tag match.

Backstage, KiLynn King catches up with Taylor Wilde as she prepares a candle for a spell, then talk about the duality of magic and nature before Wilde states that when the candle disappears, so will Jordynne Grace and "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo.

Backstage, Rosemary reluctantly summons Father James Mitchell and brings up someone blocking their access to the Undead Realm. James mentions someone more powerful that The Coven is blocking them and asks Rosemary to come with him, as it may be a long time before they work something out. Rosemary reluctantly accepts, and when Jessicka asks to come with her, Rosemary refuses and hands her an hourglass while promising to leave for the Undead Realm armed, and says that when the sand runs out, she and James will be back. Rosemary and James then head into the Undead Realm.

Jonathan Gresham beats "Speedball" Mike Bailey with the Octopus.

Backstage, Sami Callihan asks Rich Swann for help with The Design (Deaner, Angels, Kon), saying he owes him one. Rich Swann says Sami has a history of picking up fights that he has a slim chance of winning, but Sami wants to know if Swann is going to help him or not.

In backstage footage during the break, Steve Maclin wants Scott D'Amore to take care of Rhino. D'Amore puts him in a match with Rhino with the IMPACT World Championship on the line next week.

Trinity makes her way to the ring. Trinity thanks the fans for the warm welcome and says it feels so good to be in an IMPACT ring and in a place where she can glow. She re-introduces herself as Trinity and announces that she has arrived in IMPACT Wrestling, and proclaims she has chosen IMPACT for its storied women's division and fierce competition, which she wants a piece of. Trinity not only wants to win championships, but she wants to win more, then warns the Knockouts Division to watch out because she is ready to shine. She says she came to IMPACT to make an impact and win the Knockouts World Championship, then "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo shows up. Purrazzo takes the invocation of her name as an opportunity to be the first to welcome Trinity to IMPACT and says Trinity has done her homework on how to make history, then warns her that when she steps in the ring with her, it is something she cannot just walk out on. Trinity tells Purrazzo that when she gets in the ring with her, she will wish she got fired again. Jordynne Grace then shows up and asks if it is hot in here or if it is just the heat between Trinity and Purrazzo, and reminds Purrazzo that they still have their rematch and that she does not plan to lose to her for a fourth time. She then tells Trinity that if she wants to fight Purrazzo, she can be her guest, but if she wants a title shot, she can come find her, because she will be champion after Under Siege. Trinity tells Purrazzo and Jordynne that they have business to settle at Under Siege and that she will be waiting, then tells whoever wins "Let's dance."
