Generation NXT - NXT recap for June 6, 2023

Baron Corbin is seen entering the arena and making his way to the ring. Corbin says that he never thought he would come back to NXT, and when he got the call, he cleaned out his locker, never look back and ascended to the top of Raw and SmackDown, but the call-ups went from coming with talent to coming with ego. He says that the NXT stars of today are entitled and that it makes him sick, especially when they are coming into a stack that he helped build as they went from FCW to selling out smaller arenas. Corbin says today's NXT superstars cannot look him in the eye and give him the respect he deserves, then says that he has control of the next and he will make some of them regret signing a WWE contract due to being soft, weak and not as good as they think they are. He blames Carmelo Hayes for this, then brags about beating him down last week and holding the NXT Championship last week before Ilja Dragunov shows up. Dragunov introduces himself to Baron Corbin and tells him that he is far from soft and has beaten everyone in front of him to the point that he is first in line to the NXT Championship. Corbin chalks this up to "NXT arrogance," but Dragunov does not care who he goes through next and if he has to ravage Corbin's body with pain, so be it. Corbin says that there is a difference between what Dragunov wants and what he gets , but Dragunov says he makes challenges while Corbin makes assumptions and wants to challenge him. Corbin asks him if he wants him after Battleground, and Dragunov shows him a scar Dijak gave him. Corbin tells Dragunov that he will be covered in bruises when he is done with him. Dragunov says he looks forward to that challenge and leaves, then Corbin is attacked from behind by Trick Williams until officials restore order.

In footage from earlier today, Thea Hail comes back from practice with Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey when she is met by Duke Hudson. Hudson appreciates the fact that Thea Hail is taking it, but reminds her that she is in a battle royal tonight.

In backstage footage from moments ago, it is revealed that Ilja Dragunov has been attacked backstage by Bron Breakker.

Schism (Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid, Ava Raine) beat Diamond Mine (Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Ivy Nile) after Ava hits Ivy Nile with her mask behind the referee's back after the referee checks on Jagger Reid after Ivy Nile puts him in the Diamond Chain. During the match, Baron Corbin vs. Trick Williams is announced as official for later tonight.

Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo visits Tony D'Angelo in jail. After finding out that Knuckles is here - and makes a mean steak - and that the guards got Tony a subscription to Peacock, Stacks says anybody could have ratted on Tony, but Tony tells him to follow his gut on Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang). As for how to handle them, it is up to Stacks.

In footage from earlier today, Mr. Stone and Von Wagner see a therapist. Wagner is reluctant after seeing someone leave the office crying, but when he finds out the therapist is a beautiful female instead of the two males that he screamed and yelled at in the recent past, he quickly changes his tune.

Blair Davenport beats Dani Palmer.

Dana Brooke announces outside of the arena that she will be in tonight's women's battle royal tonight and that she will be the last woman standing.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Tiffany Stratton, who says that everyone wants a shot at her title and that while the title makes the Superstar, the title has been elevated because of her, and everyone is envious of what she has. She notes that nobody was happy when she won the title, and that things will be the same when she retains. After admitting that Lyra Valkyria is the only person she sees winning tonight's battle royal, she will still retain her championship.

Baron Corbin beats Trick Williams.

It's time for Nathan Frazer Presents Hard Hitting Home Truths. Nathan Frazer talks about the recent happenings at Battleground and last week's show, then says he is not a fan of Noam Dar's new entourage before introducing his new senior international correspondent, Dragon Lee, who is also not a fan. Dragon Lee provides a top five for group names for Noam Dar's new entourage, then Frazer challenges Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup next week. Dragon Lee tells Nathan Frazer he will be in his corner.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Mustafa Ali, who says he is a free agent and that the ball is in his court. He says that he will become a champion when Wes Lee shows up and wants to defend his championship against him. Mustafa says he wants to earn his opportunity after facing Joe Gacy tonight, assuming Wes Lee is still champion in the end.

Mustafa Ali beats Joe Gacy. After the match, Ali is attacked by The Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid), but Wes Lee and Tyler Bate rush into the ring and make the save, returning the favor from last week.

Backstage, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen tell Fallon Henley that she has tonight's women's battle royal in the bag. Malik Blade and Edris Enofe then show up mentioning Hank Walker and Tank Ledger's match. They then find out that Briggs and Jensen know each other well when Hank and Tank show up and invite them for drinks. After they all leave, Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) then show up and says it does not matter if Malik and Edris are on the same page, as they will never beat them for their titles.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Noam Dar and his entourage (Oro Mensah, Jakara Jackson, Lash Legend). Noam Dar says he has to be surrounded by starts and that his entourage is full of "shooting stars." Oro Mensah says that only Noam Dar believed in him and that he is shooting off into a new stratosphere. Jakara says she is here to represent sugar, spice and everything not so nice, and Lash Legend says the camera cannot handle the brightness because they are shining. Noam then says that if Nathan Frazer wants a Heritage Cup match, he should know that he is not losing the Heritage Cup and that there is no stopping "The Meta-Four."

Eddy Thorpe beats Damon Kemp with a German suplex pinfall attempt despite Kemp's right foot being on the rope, which the referee does not see.

Backstage, Gigi Dolin is on the phone talking to her brother about the women's battle royal, then Kiana James shows up and mocks Gigi Dolin as she says that she will lose and that an outcast like her with her background and emotions will never be a champion. Gigi Dolin says she cannot wait to see the look on her face when she sends her over the top rope. Dabba-Kato then walks by them on the way to the ring.

Scrypts beats Dabba-Kato with a schoolkid pin following the distractions by Axiom. After the match, Dabba-Kato attacks Scrypts, then attacks Axiom when he tries to make the save.

Backstage, Joe Gacy is furious with Mustafa Ali, Tyler Bate and Wes Lee's friendship and promises to expose it next week. He then congratulates the rest of Schism (Ava Raine, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid) for pulling their weight while he fell short and that he must reflect, and Schism tells him they have his back.

Backstage, Mustafa Ali thanks Wes Lee and Tyler Bate for their help. Wes says they were returning the favor, and Tyler says they will tear the roots of The Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid) next week. Mustafa Ali tells Wes and Tyler that there is magic between them and that luck is better than skill, then tells them that everyone wants to see them face off one-on-one. Tyler loves the idea but does not want to ruin their friendship. Wes Lee says he understands and is down for the challenge. Mustafa Ali says they have a six-man tag match next week, and afterwards, they will figure out when Tyler and Wes tear the house down.

Thea Hail last eliminates Cora Jade and Dana Brooke after being absent for a good amount of the match, having not been eliminated, to become #1 contender for the NXT Women's Championship. During the match, Blair Davenport shows up to watch the match, and Tatum Paxley eliminates herself to ally herself with Davenport. After the match, the Chase University student section celebrates with Thea Hail in the ring.

Outside of the arena, Bron Breakker says he attacked Ilja Dragunov because he will not let him spit garbage about how he is the most intense in NXT and that he will hold everyone accountable from top to bottom. He then calls out Seth "Freakin'" Rollins for a match in NXT for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!

Generation NXT - NXT recap for January 24, 2023

We see an Instagram video of Grayson Waller entering the WWE Performance Center and brawling with Bron Breakker. There is also footage from other NXT Superstars, "NXT Anonymous" and a security camera.

Tiffany Stratton beats Indi Hartwell after feigning a knee injury. When the referee calls for a member of the medical team, Tiffany strikes Indi with a forearm as soon as Indi looks away.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Jacy Jayne, who says that when she attacked Gigi Dolin last week, it was not an accident, but an awakening, and that she realized that she has carried Gigi Dolin since the beginning and that she is the reason Toxic Attraction held championship gold for over a year. After stating that Gigi Dolin has weighed her down like an anchor, she says that people expect her to do something that has never been seen before.

Earlier in the week, Drew Gulak and Hank Walker bring some trainees to the Diamond Mine gym to get The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) ready. Gulak then has a shot at Julius Creed, but after Julius trips, Gulak gets upset and has to be held back.

Andre Chase, Duke Hudson and Thea Hail are in the ring for a Chase U award ceremony. Thea Hail is commended for achieving her first in-ring victory. After a verbal slip-up and a "That's Not PG!" chant, Thea Hail is awarded a plaque for her first NXT win. Andre Chase takes offense to his university being dragged into the ground and that this means everything, then questions Andre Chase not mentioning Duke Hudson before reminding Andre Chase that he is not a rookie. Duke holds Thea back as McDonagh says he is dressed to fight while Chase is dressed like a moron. Chase says that the first thing he teaches is to always be prepared, then rips off his robe and punches McDonagh out of the ring.

JD McDonagh beats Andre Chase after the inadvertent distraction from Duke Hudson, who gets so frustrated that he walks out of the match.

Backstage, Kiana James meet with Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen before their tag team match tonight.

Fallon Henley and Kiana James beat Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley after Kiana James yanks Ivy Nile away from Fallon Henley by the hair on the ring apron, then holds Tatum Paxley by the legs to keep her from making the save.

Backstage, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) are met by Edris Enofe and Malik Blade. The New Day praise Enofe and Malik for their work in NXT, then all four men are met by The Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid, Ava Raine). Xavier Woods then proclaims "The New Day Tag Team Invitiational," and that the winners of The Schism vs. Enofe and Malik will join them in their Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Apollo Crews is at the barber shop. Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams show up and get mad. Apollo says he will always be on Carmelo's radar, but Carmelo says he is a younger, better version of him. After Carmelo says that the NXT Championship looks good on him, Apollo says he is right, but that the title would look better on him. Apollo then proposes a rubber match in the form of a two-out-of-three falls match after noting that both men have a win on each other to settle their score. Carmelo calls Apollo the past, but Apollo says the past can predict the future.

The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) beat Drew Gulak and Hank Walker after Gulak is distracted by Charlie Dempsey. After the match, Julius Creed admits to Ivy Nile that he can be stubborn at times, but he has to be to be his best version of himself. He also admits the last few months have not been great, then thanks her for setting him and Brutus Creed straight. Brutus also thanks Ivy Nile for sticking by them and inspiring them to be "the old Creed Brothers" again, then Indus Sher (Jinder Mahal, Sanga, Veer Mahaan) show up. Jinder Mahal congratulates The Creed Brothers, then says Indus Sher is tired of earning everyone's respect and that they are taking it. He then says they want to find out who The Creed Brothers are in a match next week. Ivy Nile accepts the challenge on The Creed Brothers' behalf.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Gigi Dolin. She says that she is surprised but not shocked, then says Jacy Jayne is always the first person to cast her stone and that she is a bad person. She says that a rose has thorns and that thorns can be dangerous if one is distracted by the petals. She says Jacy can say what she wants, but she is not scared of her and she is not afraid to give Jacy a piece of her mind.

Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo head to the private room of a restaurant, complete with wine racks. D'Angelo says people are talking about Stacks, and that the first step is the most important. Stacks says he has to take on the biggest man he can find, and D'Angelo agrees. Both of them then toast to Stacks becoming the new underboss.

Elektra Lopez beats Wendy Choo. During the match, Valentina Feroz shows up to watch from ringside. When Elektra pulls some brass knuckles out of her tights, Valentina tries to warn the referee, but Elektra takes advantage of the situation and gets the win.

Backstage, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen talk with Fallon Henley about tonight's win. Jensen then says that he has went to "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels' office and that at Vengeance Day, Fallon and Kiana will tag again for the NXT Women's tag titles. Fallon is surprised, as she thought her team with Kiana would be a one-time thing.

Backstage, Valentina Feroz tells Elektra Lopez that she does know if she can play dirty as she still has friends, but Elektra says dirty gets the job done, then tells Valentina she can keep her friends while she keeps on winning.

McKenzie Mitchell interviews Stevie Turner remotely. Stevie says she is debuting next week, and that she looks forward to facing Roxanne Perez, although she will not be keeping her title past Vengeance Day.

Grayson Waller heads to the ring. He calls out Bron Breakker and says he proved he is tougher than Bron and the rest of the building, then shows his NXT Championship belt while Bron Breaker watches from backstage. Bron, obviously in the mood to deal with Grayson Waller, heads to the ring as the locker room watches and follows him to the ramp. Security tries to stop Bron, but Bron powers his way to the ramp and brawls with Grayson in the ring. Grayson Waller escapes the ring, but Bron Breakker quickly catches up to him, and both men are helped by numerous members of security and the locker room before Bron goes right through the barricade as he gets to Grayson. Grayson is shocked at first, then smiles before running away as referees and medical staff check on Bron.

We see Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) play pool and drink beer as they talk about their match at Vengeance Day. Wolfgang says that the other teams will find out what Europe already knows: that they are on top.

Kayden Carter and Katana Chance retain the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships against Alba Fyre. Right after the bell rings, Sol Ruca shows up to team with Alba Fyre, but the women's tag team champs retain. After the match, an angry Alba Fyre walks past Sol Ruca, then walks past Isla Dawn, who then follows her. Fallon Henley and Kiana James then show up on the balcony, and Fallon tells Katana and Kayden that she and Kiana will see them at Vengeance Day.

Wes Lee meets Dijak on his own turf. Dijak is surprised Wes Lee showed up, but Wes Lee says one has to "have a set" to be champion. Dijak gives Wes Lee one last chance to give him the North American Championship, but Wes Lee says he has been stupid enough to risk everything to get where he is now, and that he will keep his title, saying Dijak does not have to like it, but he has to respect it. He says that he will see him at Vengeance Day, then leaves. Dijak then says that he deals in justice, not sob stories.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Cora Jade, who says that while Lyra Valkyrie will be an integral part of the women's division, she will show Lyra her place. She then finds a black feather in her locker. Suddenly, it is revealed that Nikkita Lyons has been attacked in the parking lot.

It is announced that Nikkita Lyons has been taken to a local medical facility.

Backstage, Andre Chase confronts Duke Hudson. Duke says he and Andre are in the New Day Invitational after he talked to "The Hearbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods).

Booker T oversees a contract signing between Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne and Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Championship match at Vengeance Day. Gigi and Jacy are already at the table, and Roxanne is introduced into the ring. Gigi Dolin says Jacy Jayne is sitting on some witty pun she is dying to use, and Jacy says everyone has watched her carry Gigi for the last year and a half, and while the kick from last week was an accident, she wishes that it was not. She says that she dragged Gigi to success, and says that if it were not for her, she would be a one-hit wonder on the independent scene. Gigi says that Jacy is the most insecure person she has ever met, and gets so nervous she has to puke in a bucket before a match. Jacy asks Gigi if she has a funhouse mirror and says that nothing she says is true because she is a pathological liar, and Gigi asks Jacy who will hold her bucket while she holds the women's title. Booker T is loving what is going on, and Roxanne Perez wants some popcorn before mentioning that Gigi and Jacy insulted everyone in the locker room and made her life hell before saying that "karma is a toxic bitch." Roxanne says she thought her match would be a handicap match, but it looks like a real Triple Threat Match, and while the odds are still against her, she will still walk out champion. Gigi says Roxanne will be the shortest-reigning women's champion of all time, and says she does not have to pin Roxanne to do it. Jacy says she can pin Gigi, then says Gigi and Roxanne are beneath her. Gigi says Jacy was the third wheel of their group and will be the third wheel of their match, then Gigi and Jacy then verbally go at each other's throats before looking at Roxanne, grabbing her, beating her up and putting her through a table together before lifting up the NXT Women's Championship together, proving their tiff was all an act.

As they announce that they will celebrate in the parking lot, Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. show up. Doudrop says she loves a good party, then proposes that they have a match for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships at Worlds Collide. Both teams aggressively shake hands.

We hear from Kiana James, who says that she knows how to get things done. She says that Zoey Stark had a chance at the NXT Women's Championship and blew it, then calls her a "try-hard" who overpromises and under-delivers. She says that after she beats Zoey Stark tonight, it will be a long time before Zoey has another championship match.

We hear from The Schism (Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid, Rip Fowler). Joe Gacy says that they have more chances to grow, and while Cameron Grimes may be wealthy, time is money and it is time for him to decide his future. He tells Grimes the offer is his to accept.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams are not in the mood for an interview outside of the arena.

The Schism (Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid, Rip Fowler) are in the ring. Joe Gacy says that their way of life is undeniable and that by defeating Legado del Fantasma, Reid and Fowler scored a victory for those who live in harmony, and for that, they will be rewarded. Joe Gacy gives Reid and Fowler yellow smiley-face pins for their accomplishments, and Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler thank Gacy before saying that together, they are gracious, whole and empowered. Gacy says he is pleased by their growth and hopes that others will find a home underneath their tree, then tells Grimes that he has reserved a special seat for him to join and follow in Reid and Fowler's footsteps. Cameron Grimes shows up and heads to the ring, then tells Gacy he is here not to be part of his celebration, then says that the more he thinks about it, the more it makes sense that he does not need The Schism - or anyone - to go to the moon. Gacy tells Grimes his loneliness is killing him, and while he says these words, beneath the surface is nothing but misery. He says it is tough to go all in and lose, and while Grimes is one of the toughest in NXT, he wears a mask that hides all of his insecurities. After mentioning Grimes losing the North American title and losing to Bron Breakker, he tells Grimes to admit that they are right and say that he is lonely so they can leave him alone. Grimes says he is right, but he can get back to the top. As Grimes leaves, Gacy says that it is another night without anything for Grimes, and that leads to Grimes beating up Reid and Fowler. When he confronts Gacy, Gacy hugs him, and Grimes nearly gets ambushed by Reid and Fowler. Grimes manages to get away from the ring as The Schism stretches their hands toward him.

We hear from Roxanne Perez, who looks back on Cora Jade turning on her and tearing her heart in two. She wanted to hurt Cora as much as she hurt her, but when she had the chance, she could not bring herself to do it, and she paid for it. She says that while their friendship is over, it is not over between them in the ring.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews JD McDonagh, who says that while his meticulous self-care may be extreme, every second is accounted for. He says that he would rather be creepy than "emotionally fragile" like Wes Lee, who called him creepy.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Blair Davenport. Davenport says NXT and NXT UK were built off the back of the women's division, but no woman has done what she is about to do: unify both brands' women's titles. Rhea Ripley soon shows up and says she built both brands when she grabbed them by the balls and won both titles, then her she has a chance to make history and unify the titles to carry on the legacy. She then says to Davenport: "You look confident...don't screw it up."

Backstage, Nathan Frazer is reading a Seth "Freakin'" Rollins comic book and talking to someone with a New Day comic about being on both NXT and NXT UK. The person with the New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Big E) comic is Axiom. As Frazer talks about how Axiom would have loved it in NXT UK, Axiom says "Maybe our worlds will collide." Frazer brings up the Heritage Cup rules match and how Axiom could catch on to one quickly, but Axiom proposes a "best of three" match. Both men then shake hands and exchange comic books.

Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) beats Diamond Mine (Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Damon Kemp) after Roderick Strong shows up and tries to explain himself to Damon Kemp. Kemp stomps Strong's phone, then gets back in the ring only to get clobbered by Joe Coffey. After the match, Pretty Deadly show up and attack both teams, and referees and security have to break everything up as Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen also jump into the brouhaha. The locker room then runs in to help restore order.

Backstage, Bron Breakker is met by Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa says Breakker has done a lot in his time in NXT, then says there is a responsibility and a passion to the title and that the NXT brand means a lot to him. He says the brand belongs to Breakker right now, then tells him that everything he is feeling right now is normal and that he should embrace it when the bell rings and represents NXT. He tells him to uphold NXT's legacy and win.

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams bring up the fact that Carmelo is not on Worlds Collide, and Carmelo says that he is going to the ring to address this.

He says that he is "flyer than a reindeer in the winter" and that he is about to change. He says life is not perfect, but that nobody lives the life of Quincy Elliot, "The Super Diva." Quincy Elliott is coming soon to NXT.

Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen vs. Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) vs. Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) vs. The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Tag Team Match for the NXT and NXT UK Tag Team Championships is official for Worlds Collide.

Carmelo Hayes ang Trick Williams head to the ring. Trick Williams says that Carmelo Hayes puts out "banger after banger" in the ring, yet Carmelo is not on Worlds Collide. He says they are serious tonight, and tells Carmelo to tell the fans what he told him in the back. Carmelo wants to know why he is being kept off Worlds Collide, especially when he unified two titles eight months ago. He says that he is the greatest North American champ of all time, and says that he is not "secondary" like the title. He then says that he will not be defending his title at Worlds Collide, as there is no one beneath him, let alone at his level. Suddenly, the lights go out, and Ricochet shows up. Ricochet tells Carmelo and Trick to shut up for five seconds - which leads to a "Shut the hell up" chant from the fans - then says Worlds Collide should not be just NXT and NXT UK and needs SmackDown. He then tells Hayes that Hayes cannot do it like he does, and Hayes tells Ricochet that while he is "the one and only," he will be one of many to get stepped on, and that there is no room for the both of them. Ricochet says it is amazing that Hayes has had multiple title defenses because nobody remembers any of them, then says he is a giving man and will be giving the fans "a 'Melo match they can remember." Ricochet then says he has held the North American title once and can hold it again, then Trick Williams tries to go for a cheap shot only to get rocked with a roundhouse kick. Carmelo Hayes leaps off the ropes, but he too gets laid out. Ricochet then raises up the North American title to end the show.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!

Generation NXT 2.0 - NXT 2.0 recap for July 26, 2022

Zoey Stark heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Stark says it feels good to be back in the ring and that she was never sure if she would be here ever again after tearing her ACL straight off the bone at Halloween Havoc, and doctors told her she would be out for well over a year. She says that was a hard pill to swallow, but she knew she could beat that timetable and got straight to work at physical therapy. She also says that her only concern would be whether or not the fans would still remember her. Stark says she got back four months ahead of schedule, and when she returned in last week's battle royal, the fan reaction made all the hard work and hard times worth it. Now that she is #1 contender to the NXT Women's Championship, Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne) - the same women who took her out and nearly ended her career - stand in her way. Suddenly, Cora Jade is on the balcony. Cora Jade makes it clear she is not happy to see Zoey Stark, and says she would have been #1 contender if nineteen people were not chasing after her and Zoey Stark ruined her moment. Zoey says Cora is the piece of trash, not the tag team title belt she threw in the garbage, but as Cora says she did more with the NXT women's tag team titles in one week than Zoey ever did, Toxic Attraction show up. Mandy says Cora and Zoey talk a big game, but when it comes to the NXT Women's Championship, only she wins, and tomorrow, she becomes the fourth-longest reigning NXT Women's Champion in history. As Mandy demands respect be put on her name, Zoey tells Mandy to put the title up on the line against her tonight, but Gigi Dolin tells Zoey she does not call the shots and that she will put her back on the shelf.

Backstage, Grayson Waller brags about his social media clout and tells everyone to watch when the Grayson Waller effect kicks in as he embarrasses Wes Lee.

Backstage, Tony D'Angelo talks with his family. He says that he likes the direction the family is going, but he says that respect is not a "one-and-done thing." He says they will crush Diamond Mine, which he says is just business.

Grayson Waller beats Wes Lee after Wes Lee is knocked out near the guardrail by a disguised Trick Williams.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews The Schism (Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid, Rip Fowler). Jagger Reid says they have stepped into the light and they can see and reach potential they have never knew existed. Rip Fowler says they are now in a community where they have been recognized. Joe Gacy says he sees the loss of a father figure and that he can be that father figure for Cameron Grimes if he just reaches out.

Backstage, Ariana Grace expresses her irritation with Indi Hartwell from last week's battle royal with the women's division when Indi shows up and says she would have done the same thing and that NXT is not a beauty pageant.

Apollo Crews beats Xyon Quinn.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne). Mandy says that tonight, Gigi will put Zoey Stark back in the hospital when Sarray shows up wanting a title opportunity. Jacy entertains beating her up, and Mandy says she did not forget her ruining her face. She says that next week, she does not care which version of Sarray she gets.

We hear from Solo Sikoa, who gives Von Wagner props for being able to scrap. He says that if Von Wagner wants to throw the rules out the window, then they can keep that going in a Falls Count Anywhere match.

Zoey Stark beats Gigi Dolin, then superkicks Jacy Jayne and nearly gets her hands on Mandy Rose. Afterwards, Zoey Stark is attacked from behind with a Kendo stick by Cora Jade, then Roxanne Perez shows up and chases Cora Jade out of the ring.

JD McDonagh is seen entering the arena.

We see Wendy Choo having nightmares about Tiffany Stratton before remembering how she landed on her body pillow in last week's battle royal. She then drops her body pillow before eventually waking up. Wendy Choo says this is not over and that it will be lights out for Tiffany Stratton when they meet again.

JD McDonagh cuts a promo from the crowd to re-introduce himself to the fans. We hear from Nikkita Lyons, who says that she will toss everyone in tonight's 20-woman battle royal over the top rope and that Mandy Rose will no longer be ducking her.

We hear from Tiffany Stratton, who is offended she is in tonight's 20-woman battle royal and that she is the only woman worthy of the NXT Women's Championship.

Cora Jade heads to the ring. Cora says she should have stabbed Roxanne Perez in the back sooner, as she has been the face of the NXT women's division for the past year after the fans declared her the next big breakout star. When this happened, she got Roxanne through the door, but then the fans' attention went from her to Roxanne, and Roxanne was declared the next big breakout star. On top of this, she became a champion along with Roxanne. She then says that not even thirty minutes later, Roxanne wanted to cash in her NXT Women's Breakout Tournament contract and become NXT Women's Champion when she wanted the women's tag titles to be the ones that mattered. Cora then felt that their friendship was a lie and that Roxanne used her to get into NXT, and calls Roxanne "selfish." She then brags about attacking Roxanne in the parking lot, and that her plan was about to play out perfect until Roxanne ruined her moment. She then says it felt so good when she hit Roxanne in the back, and that the look on Roxanne's face was priceless. After declaring that Roxanne will not be able to compete due to a broken heart, nobody will stand in her way of winning tonight's battle royal. As for her half of the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships, all it represents is a lie. She declares this the end of a naive Cora and the beginning of "the real generation of Jade" before throwing the championship belt in a trash can.

Backstage, Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) compliment each others' looks before saying it is time to "cowboy up" and win the NXT UK Tag Team Championships. Meanwhile, as Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen look forward to Fallon Henley winning the battle royal, Fallon says it is easier to lose their tag titles than to keep them. Jensen tells Pretty Deadly they are in for a country ass-whipping.

He then addresses JD McDonagh showing up and putting him through a table, and says it is a "next man up" sort of thing and that he knows who McDonagh is. He says that if McDonagh wanted his attention, he has it, and he will pay for what he did to him. Suddenly, McDonagh shows up on the TitanTron. McDonagh asks how the shoulder is holding up, but Bron tells him to get in to the ring for himself. McDonagh says that he has been studying him and that he is going to dissect him. He then talks about how there are eight major muscles in the shoulder and that they are all important and necessary, then says he knows how to tear tendon from bone and that there is only so much trauma the brain can go through before shutting off. McDonagh asks Bron to ask himself how much he wants to keep the NXT Championship, but Bron tells him to get in the ring and to get his balls from the mannequin behind him if he does not have any. McDonagh says they will meet again, and tells Bron to mind his shoulder until then. Bron says he will take McDonagh's shoulder and beat him over the head with it.
