Backstage, Tony D'Angelo meets with Legado del Fantasma (Elektra Lopez, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro) and tells them that he "handled" Santos Escobar and sent him to the hospital after laughing at him last week. After stating that Elektra Lopez has brought business up 18%, he then gives Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro one more opportunity to prove themselves or they will join Santos.

We hear from Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince), who talk about the "fashion forward" movement of Essex, how Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen have the NXT UK tag team titles, and mention that they will take the titles back.

Trick Williams beats Wes Lee after rubbing a lliquid onto his hands and getting it into Wes Lee's eyes. After the match, it is revealed that the liquid Trick placed on his hands was rubbing alcohol.

He then says that since his NXT return, he is proud to say his kids watch him every week and it brings excitement to his kids and to him. He says this excitement has brought a spark back to his career, then tells his kids that he loves him. Apollo then says that NXT is different and that there is a group of young and super-hungry athletes ready to take advantage of any opportunity. He says that he has asked what would happen if he had a match with Tony D'Angelo or Nathan Frazer, then says he will be watching the NXT Championship match tonight because he and Cameron Grimes would make magic in the ring. Suddenly, Giovanni Vinci shows up and says Apollo left him off his list, then says it is only because Apollo knows he could beat him and that he can not only keep up with Apollo, but outperform him in style. Apollo tells Vinci to get in the ring, but Vinci says Apollo has everyone fooled but him and that he is dressed for a night out tonight. He then says that next week, Apollo will find out who the best athlete is and will have seven days to have a good excuse for his kids.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Ivy Nile, who says that Diamond Mine is a group of alpha athletes with healthy egos. After she says that Diamond Mine is forever, she notices a quarrel in the women's division. Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Sofia Cromwell, Robert Stone and Von Wagner. Stone says that it is a travesty that Von Wagner does not have a match tonight, and he and Sofia blame it on the fans. Solo Sikoa shows up and says Robert Stone is making excuses, but Von Wagner says they can handle business right now. Both men have to held back almost immediately.
