Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 14, 2022

Bhupinder Gujjar beats Johnny Swinger in the BTI match after taking out "Outlandish" Zicky Dice.

Backstage, Deaner tells Joe Doering that he has not heard from Eric Young and that they are on their own for their six-man tag match. Deaner then realizes this could be a test to prove themselves before they both head to the ring. Eric Young does not show up until everyone else makes their entrances.

The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander beat Violent By Design (Eric Young, Deaner, Joe Doering) in a six-man tag match with a Border City Stretch from Shelley to Deaner as Alexander puts Eric Young in an ankle lock. After the match, Chris Sabin hands the World Championship to Alexander, but briefly refuses to let go as if to call his shot at the world title.

We see another vignette for Killer Kelly.

Steve Maclin beats "The Cowboy" James Storm after Storm hits an exposed turnbuckle head-first. After the match, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Sami Callihan is in the ring with a barbed wire baseball bat, but Maclin is on the ramp.

The Impact Plus Ric Flair Moment of the Week is Ric Flair's involvement in Team Hogan (Abyss, Jeff Hardy, Jeff Jarrett, Rob Van Dam) vs. Team Flair (Desmond Wolfe, "The Cowboy" James Storm, Robert Roode, Sting) in a Lethal Lockdown Match from Lockdown 2010.

Backstage, The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) meet with Scott D'Amore. Sabin mentions that he felt something deep within his heart and soul when he held the world title earlier tonight, and while he does not want to take credit for his world title victory, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander would not have heard of Option C if it were not for him, and asks him to take this into consideration for Alexander's next world title opportunity. Scott D'Amore says that world title oportunities are earned, then puts Sabin and Alex Shelley in a match against each other with the winner facing Alexander for the world title at Emergence.

Chelsea Green beats Mickie James after using the bottom rope for leverage after rolling Mickie James up to counter the DDT.

Backstage, Taya Valkyrie meets with Rosemary. Rosemary tells Taya to follow her directions to the letter, and that they go into the Undead Realm, get Havok, and get out. They then teleport to the Undead Realm. Taya and Rosemary end up in what looks like a forest, and Rosemary tells Taya to stay close and not to follow the light. Taya soon sees a light and strays from Rosemary, and ends up in a completely white area. Rosemary then runs into Havok, then realizes that Taya has moved into the light. Rosemary finds the light and walks in, then finds Havok and Rosemary. Taya then mentions that Havok's name is Jessica. Jessica smiles.

Backstage, Brian Myers is met by Bhupinder Gujjar, who demands his Digital Media title shot. Myers says that they were just figuring things out, and that Gujjar will have to do more to get his title shot.

Mash Slamovich quickly beats Tenille Dashwood.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "Speedball" Mike Bailey. Bailey says he has been thinking about Deaner a lot, and that his being a fighting champion with the X Division title has gotten a lot of attention. He says that if Deaner wanted to fight him, all he had to do was ask, and that they will have their match next week.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Micie James, who says "You're only as good as your last match" and that she is going home.

Vincent is attacked on stage by Heath before the next match.

Honor No More (Eddie Edwards, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Kenny King) beat Bullet Club ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows, "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson, "Inevitable" Ace Austin, Chris Bey) after Maria Kanellis-Bennett hits Gallows with a low blow to stop a Magic Killer on Matt Taven.
