Fyter Fest, Week Two - Rampage recap for July 22, 2022

John Silver and "Hangman" Adam Page beat The Butcher and The Blade.

We see a video package for Daniel Garcia vs. Wheeler Yuta for the ROH Pure Championship at Death Before Dishonor.

Claudio Castagnoli heads to the ring. Claudio says the ROH World Championship has been the one championship that has eluded him his entire career, and says that he is the best because of the fans' support and belief in him. He talks about how Gresham has boasted he will outclass and outwrestle anyone in the ring, then says Jonathan Gresham has never faced him and that "The Foundation" is about to get cracked, as nobody can do what he can in the ring. He says he cannot think of a better way to start this new chapter in his career than to beat Gresham for the ROH World Championship. Tully Blanchard Enterprises is seen in the luxury box.

We hear from Wardlow, who says he wanted the TNT Championship because it was defended by the best against the best, and that he will beat the shit out of any locker room and welcome anyone into "Wardlow's World."

Lee Moriarty beats Dante Martin by reversing a roll-up with one of his own and grabbing the middle ropef or leverage. During the match, Stokely Hathaway shows up to watch the match from the stage. After the match, Matt Sydal confronts Lee Moriarty for using the rope for leverage, then tells him that next week, he is kicking his ass and Moriarty is not ready. Hathaway shows Moriarty his business card, but Moriarty simply smiles.

We see a video package for Serena Deeb vs. Mercedes Martinez for the ROH Women's World Championship at Death Before Dishonor.

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Jamie Hayter beat Skye Blue and Ashley D'Amboise with the Lockjaw from Britt Baker to D'Amboise.

We see a vignette for Ariya Daivari, who is just known as "Ari Daivari" and is coming to AEW soon.

Rapper Lil' Scrappy is the judge for the rap battle between Austin Gunn and "Platinum" Max Caster. Austin Gunn mentions Max Caster being one of Bobby Lashley's sisters in WWE and Max Caster dating Kris Statlander. Caster calls Austin Gunn's skills "cultural appropriation", then Ausitn Gunn says Max Caster is a bad rapping wrestler and that John Cena wants his gimmick back. Caster comes back with a scorching comeback in which he mentions Austin Gunn's brief time in ROH and says that Tony Khan bought the company to burn the match footage. After this, Austin Gunn cannot come back with a comeback and says that he is not "an ass boy," then Lil' Scrappy gets jumped by Billy Gunn when he says that Max Caster won. This leads to The Gunn Club (Billy, Austin and Colten Gunn) laying everyone out.

Backstage, Mark Henry interviews Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, Sonjay Dutt and Christopher Daniels. Daniels says Samoa Joe does not need him to stand up for him and that he is tired of hearing his name being dragged through the mud. Lethal says that Daniels should not be speaking first and that he will be dragging Daniels through the mud tonight. Sonjay calls Christopher Daniels an example of what happens when running one's mouth goes wrong.

Jay Lethal beats "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. After the match, Sonja Dutt and Satnam Singh attack Christopher Daniels, then Jay Lethal puts Daniels in a rear naked choke as Sonjay Dutt tells Samoa Joe that he is going down.
