Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for July 2, 2022

Pete Pranica guests on commentary this week.

Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk. K-Toomer says he knows who Mads Kruger is, then tells him he is "the punishment of God" and that he will put something on him so cold he will be asking if he can wear house shoes in an apartment.

"The True American" Trace Lee Hunt beats Norman Meklakov in The Great American Clash Match after Meklakov swings a chair at Hunt only for Hunt to duck it and Meklakov to accidentally hit himself. After the match, Matt Williams confronts Trace Lee Hunt only to be trapped between him and Austin Lane. Matt slaps Austin, who then hits Matt with a piledriver, which is grounds for suspension by the championship committee.

Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique at the announce desk. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock says something needs to be done about Derrick King, then says that he has been looking for a tag team and has found one of the best: The Elements of Wrestling ("Casanova" Colton Cage and Ryan Pyles). Colton Cage says that the last time The Elements of Wrestling were here, they were robbed of the Trios titles. He says that they have received a call from Blaylock promising them everything they have ever wanted and they are back to take care of business.

The Elements of Wrestling ("Casanova" Colton Cage and Ryan Pyles) beat Country Rock (Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes) following the distraction from The L.A. Hustlers (Bradley and Lamont).

Backstage, McKenzie Morgan interviews Cassandra Golden says she has been training everyday to entertain the fans, and while she has not earned the Women's title yet, the next time she has it, it is coming home with her.

Cassandra Golden vs. Nyxx ends with "Dangerous" Diana Taylor attacking both of them. After the match, Diana Taylor goes for a double DDT, but Nyxx and Cassandra send her running.

We hear from "Big Swole" Justin Cole. Continuing from last week's interview, he says that he will get up tomorrow like he always does, go to the gym, drink his protein shake and work harder than ever before to get back to the top and be back better than ever.

DNA beats Adam Priest following the distraction from Brandon Espinosa. After the match, Espinosa and DNA shake hands, then Espinosa gives DNA a contract saying "Target: Memphis Wrestling."

We hear from Buff Bagwell, who says that he is back and excited to be in Memphis Wrestling as he signs autographs, then says he will be in the ring next week with a bone to pick against Mike Anthony.

Dustin Starr interviews Brad Skimahorn and Uncle Mikey, who pass around flies with "#FreeBriar" printed on them. Uncle Mikey says he and Brad want Briar back. Brad states that The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) have challenged them to a match for the tag titles in exchange for Briar. Brad says he and Mikey are challenging The Posse and that Briar is coming back home. Uncle Mikey says they have seen The Posse lurking around, and Brad threatens to find them if they do not show up. The Posse soon show up without Briar, and Mr. Chris says that if they can beat them, they can get Briar back. However, if The Posse win, Briar joins The Posse forever. Brad picks Briar over the tag team titles, as they have the Trios titles and he and Mikey do not have to prove they are the best tag team.

K-Toomer beats Mads Kruger.
