Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 28, 2022

Brian Myers guests on commentary for the BTI match.

Bhupinder Gujjar beats Vincent after Maria Kanellis-Bennett is ejected from ringside and Vincent is distracted by Heath's theme. After the match, Heath shows up from behind and hits Vincent with a Wake-Up Call.

In a recap of what happened last week, we find out that "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander did not make it to the ring at the end of last week's show because he was attacked by Shera.

Eddie Edwards beats "Inevitable" Ace Austin after Kenny King and Chris Bey both get ejected and brawl their way to the back.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Heath. He says he tried to do it the right way with Honor No More, but the right way is impossible with those who have no honor. He says if Honor No More wants to be dishonorable, he will hit them all with a Wake-Up Call.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander. Alexander says Shera is a challenge, but as World Champion, there are challengers coming at him from all angles at all times. He says he has beaten some tough opponents as of late and cannot back down, then Alex Shelley shows up. Shelley says that being the biggest and the strongest does not make the best wrestler, and Alexander says skill makes the best. Shelley tells Alexander to take care of Shera and asks him to come out unscathed so he can take the World title from the best.

Trey Miguel and Laredo Kid beat Johnny Swinger and "Outlandish" Zicky Dice.

Backstage, Brian Myers runs into Bhupinder Gujjar and says someone else has a shot at the Digital Media Championship. Crazzy Steve and says it is Black Taurus, then Scott D'Amore shows up to make the match between Myers and Taurus official.

Tiffany Nieves beats Jada Stone in an Ohio Valley Wrestling showcase match. After the match, Killer Kelly shows up. Tiffany Nieves confronts Killer Kelly and shoves her, and Killer Kelly answers with a boot in the face followed by a sleeper hold before laying out Jada Stone.

Backstage, Eric Young tells Deaner and Doering that they failed last week. Deaner admits that they did not expect KUSHIDA. Eric Young tells them that they will take out The Motor City Machine Guns first, then they will take out KUSHIDA.

We see a video package for Alex Shelley's World title shot at Emergence.

"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander beats Shera with an ankle lock after making Raj Singh think twice about tangling with him on the outside.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Moose, who says there is no alliance between himself and Steve Maclin, and that he did not need him tainting his victory against Sami Callihan.

Backstage, Eddie Edwards tells the rest of Honor No More that Impact is trying to screw them and that it is time to take what they want. They soon run into Scott D'Amore. Vincent wants D'Amore to do something about Heath, and Matt Taven demands a tag team title shot. Suddenly, Bennett is implied to be attacked backstage, and D'Amore wishes Eddie Edwards good luck with being Honor No More's leader.

Backstage, VXT ("The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green) are met by Jessicka as they talk about a party. Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie show up and tell Jessica not to wander off and that she is not partying, even though Jessicka has a killer mimosa recipe.

In the ring, Raj Singh says "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander should be disqualified for what he did and that Shera should be the winner, and that he is not leaving until there is justice. All the while, a referee checks on Shera. The lights go out, and when they come back on, Sami Callihan is in the ring. He hits Raj Singh with a baseball bat followed by a Cactus Driver '97, then says he does not care if Moose and Steve Maclin are working together. He then says both men have a date with The Death Machine.

The Impact Plus Ric Flair Moment of the Week is the formation of Fortune 4 and the Woo-Off between Flair and Jay Lethal from the June 17, 2010 episode of Impact.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Mia Yim. Mia says she came back to Impact to show that he can still go with the best and the baddest and that she is better than before. She says that while she respects Jordynne Grace and considers her a great champion, she will find out why she is the HBIC when she becomes Knockouts World Champion. All of a sudden, a burst of static is heard and the rest of the interview - which is not much - is silent. When Tom Hannifan and "The Drama King" Matthew Rehwoldt apologize, Scott D'Amore finds out Honor No More is trying to invade the production truck. After the commercial break, Mike Bennett says that Scott D'Amore has never wanted them to be here since day one. D'Amore puts Honor No More in a five-on-five match against Bullet Club, and if they win, they get a tag team title shot. However, if Honor No More loses, they will be forced to disband, as D'Amore gives them the same chance that Team Canada was given years ago. Honor No More is furious.

KUSHIDA beats Rich Swann with a Hoverboard Lock off the top rope.

Here are all the vignettes and backstage segments!
