Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 22, 2025

Booker T shows up and hypes up the crowd for tonight's show as he makes his way to the announce table.

The Culling (Shawn Spears, Niko Vance, Izzi Dame, Tatum Paxley) beat Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, Zaria and Sol Ruca in an eight-person mixed tag match. During the match, Tatum Paxley finds one of her dolls in the ring. Suddenly, DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) briefly sohws up, but disappear, and when the lights come back on, Tatum Paxley has Zaria pinned for the win.

In backstage footage from earlier, Jordynne Grace finds out from General Manager Ava, who is surrounded by security, that she is barred from the building tonight after attacking Robert Stone and Evolve Prime Minister Stevie Turner last week. Jordynne says taht one way or another, she will get her hands on Blake Monroe tonight.

Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Jazmyn Nyx) head to the ring. Jacy Jayne says that love it or hate it, she runs women's wrestling, which is not bad for "a third wheel" or "the most beatable women's champion in history." Jacy declares that she is on top and that she did it herself without help or support, as the fans tried to write her off. She says that everyone wants to talk about making history to the point that it has become a wrestling cliché, then says there is nothing cliché about her being a double champion. Suddenly, Lash Legend shows up and says nobody expect Jacy to be the double champion, yet Jacy took her moment to become "the #1 girl." Lash then tells Jacy that she will not be on top for long, as it is time for her moment and time to lash out, as he proved she is the most dominant force in WWE at Evolution, and if she can go against the best at Raw and SmackDown, then she is ready for championship gold. Jaida Parker shows up and says she cannot take Lash's flowers away from her, but she has a direct line to the championship and that no matter who she has to deal with, she is the walking reality check and the face of the future of the women's division. Jacy says she will let the two of them hash things out for herself, then sics Fallon and Jazmyn on them. When Fallon and Jazmyn get confused, Jacy attacks Jaida, and this leads to a brawl. Lash and Jaida clean house, but bump into each other and start arguing.

Backstage, Ricky Saints runs into Je'Von Evans, who is coming up with some new moves. Saints tells Je'Von not to overthink things, then the two of them talk about Jasper Troy. Je'Von tells Saints not to overthink Jasper Troy, and Saints says that the revolution will be televised tonight. Je'Von says he will be watching.

Backstage, No Quarter Catch Crew (Charlie Dempsey, Tavion Heights, Wren Sinclair) are met by Myles Borne, who is ready to support them as they get psyched up for tonight's match. All of a sudden, Lexis King is seen kicking something in the background, and it happens to be an arcade machine.

Jasper Troy beats Ricky Saints by count-out after the entrance ramp collapses under Ricky Saints as Jasper Troy intimidates the referee and hits Saints with a senton before getting back into the ring before the ten count.

Backstage, Trick Williams is with The High Ryze (Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, Tyriek Igwe) as he is about tocall out The Undertaker. Wes Lee is ready to assist, but Trick says he must handle this man-to-man. Je'Von Evans laughs at Trick Williams, who tells him to be quiet as grown men are talking. Trick leaves, then Je'Von Evans says he has to see this.

WWE acknowledges the death of heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne - whose appearances in WWE span from WrestleMania 2 and beyond for almost four decades - who passed away earlier today at the age of 76.

Trick Williams heads to the ring. He brags about retaining the Total Nonstop Action World Championship at Slammiversary, then states that he is the greatest TNA World Champion of all time. Trick talks about how he is dropping records and diss tracks as well as everyone who is in his way, then addresses Team Undertaker (Shiloh Hill, Dani Sekelsky, Bayley Humphrey, Drake Morreaux) being in his way backstage last week and accuses them of snitching on them to The Undertaker. He says that The Undertaker may be one of the best ever, but he has never held down two brands at the same time. Trick then says that LFG not only has The Undertaker disrespected, but also soft, and he has no problem being the only man to call him out, which he does. The Undertaker shows up and heads to the ring, then calls Trick "a dead man walking" before complimenting Trick's wardrobe and telling him that he has everything that he needs except respect. The Undertaker says that he keeps up with everyone, and states that Trick Williams as TNA World Champion is not the same guy he watched scratch and claw his way to the top, stating that he was "hungry" and "had the dog in him." He says Trick can have the whole package and everything in the toolbox, but with his attitude, it is not a matter of him losing the title, but when. He says Trick's attitude will be downfall, and that is when the walls will start crumbling down. The Undertaker says he has seen this too many times and that Trick's attitude is what he tries to teach his LFG team, but Trick says he does not care about his team and that nobody in LFG or WWE is a superstar like he is. The Undertaker says Trick is "a little too light in the ass to step to an OG," and that if he wants to dance with the devil, he can flip that switch quickly, and when he does, he will make him famous. Trick goes for a cheap shot, but The Undertaker immediately counters with a choke slam.

Backstage, Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Jazmyn Nyx) strategize how to deal with Lash Legend and Jaida Parker. Michelle McCool shows up and thinks Jazmyn should take on Jaida and Fallon Henley should take on Lash. Jazmyn says this makes sense, as only a baddie can take on another baddie. Jacy agrees, but nobody can figure out where General Manager Ava's office is.

Blake Monroe beats Wren Sinclair. After the match, Jordynne Grace shows up as Blake Monroe is still in the ring, and she fights off security to get her hands on Blake Monroe. When security intervenes, Jordynne levels them, then Blake Monroe hits her with a DDT into a metal folding chair.

"All Ego" Ethan Page is behind a podium in the ring, as the NXT North American Championship is on another podium covered with a black mantle. Ethan says this is the 56th day of his reign and that 17 Americans before him have had the honor and privilege of holding the title, but he hopes to bring more honor, diginity, pride and class to the title than all the other 17 champions combined. He plans to do this based on who he is and where he comes from, then talks about how his parents immigrated from Yugoslavia and how he got to see America. He says that if his parents made different decisions, he would end up like the fans, but he did not, as he was born in Canada. He reveals the two Canadian flags to his side, then declares that his title will no longer represent North America, as it represents "an absolute lie." He states that the title should represent the pure dominance of Canada over the United States, Mexico and every country on the continent. He says he was born in Canada but made in America, which makes him the greatest North American alive and affords him the privilege of tossing the North American Championship outside to the floor and replacing it with a variant of the title with a Canadian flag strap. Ethan says he is proud of being from Canada, and that to claim to be a great North American champion will come with a Canadian standard of excellence, as Canada is just a better country. He then states that as North American Champion, he takes great pride in holding the title, but his pride as champion pales in comparison to his pride of being a Canadian. He then sings "O Canada" so that a North American does not butcher his national anthem. All of a sudden, Total Nonstop Action Director of Authority Santino Marella shows up and heads to the ring. Santino says Ethan has a big mouth and should be ashamed, then puts the people of North America over and says Ethan's words make him sick. Ethan tells Santino to go back to TNA, but Santino says that the North American Championship should be held with someone with honor, digntiy, class and pride, none of which Ethan has. Santino says he has all that and will see Ethan next week, and when Ethan wants to go at it with Santino, Santino sends him retreating immediately by attemptting the Cobra.

Backstage, Trick Williams runs into Oba Femi, and Jacy Jayne walks between them.

Backstage, Je'Von Evans is taking more notes when Yoshiki Inamura asks him for advice. He wants to know if he is a bad friend for not listening to Josh Briggs, but Je'Von says Yoshiki has his own code. Yoshiki admits he does not like how Josh Briggs, but Je'Von says it is possible to love somebody and not like them. Yoshiki then tells Je'Von that he has plenty of time to figure out what is next, then says he knows what is next for him: the NXT Championship.

Backstage, Myles Borne meets with No Quarter Catch Crew (Charlie Dempsey, Tavion Heights, Wren Sinclair) when Bubba Ray Dudley shows up and hugs before telling Dempsey and Tavion that they have had a match that did not end so well and makes another rematch between them possible; if Tavion wins, he is out of the group; if Dempsey wins, Tavion stays. Lexis King shows up as Bubba Ray leaves, and Lexis accuses Myles of faking being deaf, saying that if Myles is deaf, he is blind. Myles says Lexis is neither blind or deaf, yet everyone in the locker room wishes Lexis was mute.

Oba Femi retains the NXT Championship against Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura in a Triple Threat Match after Briggs and Inamura fail to get along during the match.

Backstage, Je'Von Evans is met by The Undertaker, who tells him to keep going after the biggest dog in the yard.

Gunther heads to the ring to start tonight's show. As this happens, it is announces that Raw will be on SyFy for the next two weeks. Gunther says he has taken time to reflect on what he said to Damian Priest last week, and that he meant every word that she said last week, calling Priest and the fans in the arena "bums." He says that what is stake is the honor, prestige and reputation of this great sport and the World Heavyweight Championship, which he says Damian Priest does not live up to. He also goes to call Priest "a pretender" and "a wanna-be," and says that he knows who Damian Priest is through his friends and that today is the day that he judges The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) collectively as "street trash." Gunther then asks Priest to come to the ring and hand him the World Heavyweight Championship that he is not worthy of carrying, and Damian Priest shows up and heads to the ring. Priest almost immediately punches Gunther in the face, and referees quickly rush in to try to stop the ensuing brawl. Security also shows up, as do other backstage officials, but Priest starts laying security out before going after Gunther again.

Backstage, Rhea Ripley meets with the rest of The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) and Carlito to focus on club business, and says it is not long before they have all the gold again. Dominik asks Rhea about Jey Uso, but Rhea says they are just playing around. Rhea then mentions what is going on between Dominik and Liv Morgan. Finn Balor proposes that Dominik should take care of Jey Uso once and for all, but Rhea sees no point in going to war with him. Finn tells Dominik he knows what he has to do.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Priest welcomes Drew McIntyre back to Raw in front of the two referees that McIntyre refused to apologize to last week.

CM Punk heads to the ring. CM Punk announces that he is medically cleared, that he and Drew McIntyre will fight and that he will get his pound of flesh, then calls McIntyre out so he can get the beating he deserves before putting on his wrist tape. McIntyre shows up and says he has waited for this, and says there is nothing stopping him from getting in the ring and tearing him apart, except for the part where he does not want to. Punk says he wants to, and referees and officials have to hold him back as McIntyre says their match is a big money match, then says that he turns to family to calm down when he gets emotional and produces Punk's bracelet. General Manager Adam Pearce shows up and says McIntyre is officially reinstated and Punk is officially medically cleared, then makes their match official for SummerSlam. He also says that the match will be off if they lay hands on each other before then, and that the person who throws the first punch will be suspended. He then introduces the special guest referee for the match: Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Rollins shows up and says Punk and McIntyre both hate each other and that their chaos has scared everyone away from getting between them. He then says he is "a solution guy" and not "a problem guy," and says he knows a guy who thrives on chaos. He also says this guy would love nothing more than to put them both in their places, and it is himself.

Backstage, Carlito tells The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) that they must divide and conquer, and that he and JD McDonagh go one way while Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio go another way to look for "Main Event" Jey Uso. Liv Morgan catches up with Dominik and says everything will be okay, but Dominik says everything is okay. Liv leaves when Finn Balor shows up.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Sami Zayn. Sami says Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov went to war for his title and Bron Breakker earned his shot, and that he is taking Breakker seriously. After the match, Chad Gable shows up with The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed). After the commercial break, Gable says there is something in him that keeps him wanting to help his former crew, then mocks Otis for teaming with Xavier Woods and losing and says using his brain was never Otis' strong suit. He compliments The Creed Brothers, then demands that Otis come back to his coach and rejoin him, even promising some extra protection The Wyatt Sicks. Otis says that Gable fled the scene instead of protecting The Creed Brothers last week, and refuses to re-join. Gable asks Maxxine Dupri and Tozawa if they will let Otis speak for them, then sics The Creed Brothers on Otis and Tozawa, and The Creed Brothers go to town before Otis overpowers them and grabs Gable. The Creed Brothers attack Otis before he can do anything to Gable, but as Gable hands them metal folding chairs to use as weapons, The Wyatt Sicks make their presence known. "Abbie," "Mercy," "Ramblin' Rabbit" and "Huskus" show up, but Uncle Howdy shows up behind Gable in the ring and hits him with Sister Abigail.

"Big" Bronson Reed vs. Pete Dunne ends before it begins when Sheamus suddenly shows up and attacks both men. Pete Dunne narrowly misses the Brogue Kick when he rolls out of the ring, but Bronson Reed gets nailed with it.

Backstage, Rhea Ripley finds out what happened regarding "Main Event" Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. Finn Balor says he is tired of being disrespected week after week and that he and JD McDonagh will beat respect into Jey and Sami. He also says that if Gunther wants to call them a joke, then he will beat him in the ring. Rhea tells The Judgment Day (Finn, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, McDonagh) and Carlito that nobody is supposed to touch Jey Uso, then finds out about Liv Morgan meeting with Dominik backstage and takes him to the ring.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Sheamus. Sheamus says he knows the business like the back of his hand and knows "Big" Bronson Reed wants to take him out to make a name for himself. As for Pete Dunne, they can either settle their differences over a pint like "proper fellas" or settle their differences in the ring.

Rhea Ripley heads to the ring and forces "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio in with her. Rhea then calls out Liv Morgan, telling her that if she wants Dominik, she can come get him. Liv Morgan's music hits, but Liv shows up inside of the crowd and not at the ramp. Liv says she is not coming to the ring because she actually has some self-control, as she has waited for all this time and she can wait for her until SummerSlam. She then says she has feeling for Dominik and that Dominik has feelings for her and even Rhea cannot deny it. She says Rhea cannot deny it because gorgeous men like Dominik do not go for women who look like Rhea and instead go for women who look like her. Dominik tries to stop Rhea when Rhea tries to leave the ring. Rhea gets angry at Dominik, and Dominik asks Rhea to let him handle this. Liv asks the crowd to let Dominik speak, as she knows what he will say and that she feels the same way, and tells him to say "those three little words." Dominik tells Liv that he hates her and that she has ruined his life, and chews her out in both English and Spanish. Liv starts crying and slowly walks away, and Rhea then whispers something in to Dominik's ear before licking and kissing him.

Cathy Kelley interviews Zelina Vega, whose right arm is wrapped up, on the stage. Zelina says her injury will not stop her and that nobody will keep her down. She says she has been underestimated her entire people and that it is time to shut some people up.

Zelina Vega beats Zoey Stark after Lyra Valkyria, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter go after Sonya Deville and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler for getting involved in the match and Zelina Vega uses her arm brace to her advantage and hits the Code Red for the win.

Backstage, Xavier Woods asks General Manager Adam Pearce for a one-on-one match with Karrion Kross, saying that he has to handle this on his own. Pearce grants Woods the match. Woods leaves, then McIntyre confronts Pearce for introducing Seth "Freakin'" Rollins into his SummerSlam match as a special guest referee. Pearce tells McIntyre to take it up with Rollins when he tells him the special instructions for the SummerSlam match next week.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn). Isla says they will have a message for the former Women's Tag Team Champions at SmackDown, then Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville and Zoey Stark and says they are the ones who run the division. Alba and Isla remind them of Zoey's loss, then Sonya says they will be their biggest issue and the ones to take their tag titles. Isla says they are welcome to try, but Sonya says they will do it.

We hear from Gunther, who mocks the previous World Heavyweight Champions before stating that he cannot respect entertainers and that he is the only one who can take the title to a level never seen before. He says that Damian Priest will fail and that he will represent the power, presentation and prestige that the business desperately needs when he becomes World Heavyweight Champion.

CM Punk shows up, but tells Starks and says he is more mad at himself and that he is proud of Starks, as he cannot stand an honest man and say he never cheated and pretend the fans have not done so, either. He says that if the New Jersey Devil had the same wherewithal as Starks, they would have made it past the first round, he says that he can live with his loss before asking Starks if he can live with his win after how he beat him. As CM Punk leaves, Starks says his bag isn't the same as CM Punk's, and Punk comes back and and asks Starks if he wants a shot at what is in the bag or if he just does not want him to have it before calling himself "the real world's champion." Suddenly, Christian Cage and Luchasaurus show up, and Christian says that while they are contractually obligated to be here, Punk and Starks are taking too long and he does not want to be in New Jersey any longer than he has to be. Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for July 22, 2022

Stephanie McMahon is in the ring to start tonight's show. She announces that earlier tonight, her father Vince McMahon retired from WWE, and that he wanted to make sure that he thanked the fans, the crew and even the Superstars. She then leads a "Thank you, Vince" chant.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up from out of the crowd. Angelo Dawkins says that next Saturday, anything is possible, and they will be the next undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. Austin Theory shows up and says no one cares what they are doing, as everyone cares what he is doing: taking back the United States title before cashing in and becoming the new WWE Undisputed Champion. Theory says he does not care who he cashes in on, then The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) show up. Jey says some people cannot keep Roman Reigns' name out of their mouths, and Jimmy threatens to beat Theory up if he does it again. The Street Profits laugh at Theory, who says that Montez Ford and Bianca Belair are leaving SummerSlam without championship gold. Montez tells Theory that he won't be leaving without "these hands," which strangely starts a brawl between The Usos and The Profits. Theory is about to side with The Usos in the brawl when Madcap Moss shows up to even the numbers and help The Street Profits stand tall in the ring.

Ludwig Kaiser beats Shinsuke Nakamura following the cheap shot from Gunther. After the match, Gunther teases punishing Kaiser, then pats him on the back before chopping him in the chest anyway.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Liv Morgan and "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. Ronda dismisses Kayla so she can talk to Liv alone. Ronda tells Liv that she respects her and calls her "a breath of fresh air," then says that she will beat her at SummerSlam and expect Liv Morgan to shake her hands. Liv Morgan says she will be the one because she loves this, wants this and needs this more than her, then says that she will shake Ronda's hand. Ronda appreciates her passion and sees why everyone likes Liv except her.

Pat McAfee is attacked from out of nowhere by Happy Corbin at the announce table. McAfee chases Corbin to the back, and both men soon brawl. Officials have to separate both men, and WWE official Pat McAfee tells the other officials to get Corbin out of here.

Pat McAfee gets in the ring and says that before he returns to commentary, he has one thing to say to Happy Corbin: at SummerSlam, it will be one-on-one, and when he punts Corbin in the head, he will put Corbin down for good.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) guests on commentary for the next match.

The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) beat Jinder Mahal and Shanky by count-out after tossing both men around and tossing Jinder into The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods).

Backstage, as WWE official Adam Pearce is on the phone demanding that Happy Corbin be kicked out of the building, Sonya Deville shows up and mocks Pearce for not havng a handle on the show. Pearce then says that something he planned will go as intended tonight, then tells Sonya she is in a match with Raquel Rodriguez tonight.

The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland Butch) head to the ring. Sheamus says that tonight, they are going to make history. He says tonight was supposed to be the night that he kicked Drew McIntyre's face off to head to Clash at the Castle, but Sheamus tried to cut his head off last week. Sheamus says the match is not happening until McIntyre's sword is banned, and as he says that he will do everything in his power to make sure that happens, McIntyre shows up with his sword. Sheamus says the sword has no place in the ring, and promises that Ridge Holland will get Butch out of the ring if McIntyre puts the sword away. McIntyre puts the sword in a sheathe in the corner. McIntyre then asks Sheamus what happened to him and when he became a bitch after a long friendship, then says WWE's two world championships are being held hostage and that there needs to a be a new champion to bring prestige to the titles. He then tells Sheamus to have some passion and "have some balls" and that they need to have a #1 contender's match. Sheamus says he has goosebumps down his arms, then says they will have the match, just not tonight. He says that he has spoken with upper WWE management, who have agreed to make the match official for next week and that while McIntyre's sword is not allowed, shilelaghs are, as their match is an Irish Donnybrook Match. WWE official Adam Pearce shows up and makes the match official, and as Sheamus celebrates the match being official, McIntyre cuts Sheamus' shilelagh in half with his sword.

Backstage, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) fire themselves up for tonight's main event when Paul Heyman tells them to exploit what Austin Theory brings to the table and get the win before they end the night with Theory face down on the canvas.

Aliyah confronts Lacey Evans as she mocks the crowd, then Lacey soon hits Aliyah with a Women's Right.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett says it is an honor to be a special guest referee at SummerSlam and that the support is overwhelming, then says the tag team title match between The Street Profits and The Usos is the biggest in SummerSlam history. He says WWE management would not be swayed, intimidated or affected by the bright lights, and that is why WWE picked him to call it down the middle.

We hear from Maxxine Dupri (formerly Sofia Cromwell from NXT), Mace and Mansoor. Maxxine says that the 2022 Beachwear Collection will debut next week.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and Madcap Moss beat The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and Austin Theory by disqualification after Theory hits Moss with his Money In The Bank briefcase. After the match, Theory continues to attack Moss with the briefcase, then Brock Lesnar suddenly shows up, gets in the ring and hits Theory with an F5 before attacking Theory with the briefcase. Lesnar then hits Theory with an F5 on the briefcase.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 22, 2021

In footage from after Slammiversary went off the air, Juice Robinson and David Finlay attack The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) and force them, Don Callis and Kenny Omega to retreat, but Jay White gets back in the ring and lays out Juice Robinson.

For the first time since March 2020, there is a crowd around the ring for Impact Wrestling's weekly show (with fans having already returned at Slammiversary).

"The Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams and Trey Miguel beat Kal Herro and Tony Gunn with a Sharpshooter from Petey Williams to Kal Herro on the pre-show.

In backstage footage from Slammiversary, Chris Bey unknowingly finds a Bullet Club shirt, thinking it is Rohit Raju's.

Chris Bey beats Rohit Raju. After the match, Jay White meets Chris Bey backstage and asks him if he got his message. Chris says yes, and Jay White says they are looking for guys who could fit into Bullet Club, but Chris Bey says he walks alone. Jay White asks Chris Bey how that has been going for him, then tells him t consider the offer, because it will expire.

Backstage, Gia Miller gets another interview from Don Callis, who says that Kenny Omega was injured at Slammiversary and is not just his family, but a multinational conglomerate and that being injured costs them money. Don Callis says he enjoys certainty and that nobody told that "Switchblade" Jay White would be at Slammiversary, and says that Jay White is either here to join the Elite or stab people in the back. He says that working conditions in Impact suck and that he does not want to be here, but Omega is Impact World Champion, and and anyone who wants to be on top will have to go through them.

Mickie James heads to the ring. Mickie says it feels to be good in Impact again, and that it also felt good to kick Deonna Purrazzo in the mouth. She also says that Slammiversary did not go the way she planned, as she had serious intentions when she returned. She then says she intends to finish her business from Slammiversary and asks Deonna Purrazzo to come to the ring. Deonna shows up. Mickie thanks Deonna for coming to the ring and that she did mean for Slammiversary to be physical. She says that her intentions at Slammiversary were true and real, and asks her to be at NWA Empowerrr and a part of history with her. Deonna says she showed up to give Mickie the benefit of the doubt and a chance to do the ring, then says Mickie is here for herself and that she knows she is the greatest. She says that Mickie needs her to make NWA Empowerrr the best all-women's wrestling event in history, and demands Mickie James grovel at her feet and apologize right now, threatening to slap her into next week if she does not. Gail Kim arrives and tells Deonna Purrazzo that she told Mickie James to show up at Slammiversary and ask her to appear at NWA Empowerrr, and Mickie asks Deonna if she wants to further cement her legacy. After Mickie asks Deonna one more time to appear at NWA Empowerrr, Deonna shakes hands with Mickie, accepting the offer.

We see another vignette for "The Drama King" involving a candelabra.

Jake Something, Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green beat Tenille Dashwood, Sam Beale and Brian Myers in a six-person tag match after Taylor Wilde shows up for the first time in some time to pull Kaleb with a K off the ring apron as he distracts Chelsea Green.

Backstage, Eddie Edwards says he sees W. Morrissey walking around like he owns the place and that he had him beaten at Slammiversary until he hit him with the chain. He says that if Morrisey is down to fight, then they can fight in the parking lot right now.

W. Morrisey meets Eddie Edwards in the parking lot, and both men brawl. Morrissey retreats after Eddie Edwards hits him with two Kendo sticks.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Brian Myers and Tenille Dashwood. Myers says that he and Tenille are like a bow and arrow and that their two losses are like a pullback, and after Myers says Tenille is under his learning tree, Tenille wants nothing to do with him. This is especially true after Sam Beale asks Tenille Dashwood what Taylor Wilde is accusing her of, which causes Tenille and Kaleb with a K to leave. Myers chews out Sam for costing him a tag team partner for Homecoming. Sam Beale says he will fix everything and find Myers a partner, but Myers tells him not to do it.

"Switchblade" Jay White heads to the ring. Jay White introduces the Impact fans to himself and his accolades and says the he is "the real belt collector," and that he is here in Impact Wrestling for one man: David Finlay. He says that David Finlay cannot hide from him at Impact, and says that Finlay is hoping for a resurgence of his family name that was once respected but is now laughed at at NJPW Resurgence. He says that Finlay may have beaten him for the NJPW Cup, he will not beat him for the NEVER Openweight Championship. He then addresses The Good Brothers, calling them "the true fans of Bullet Club" as well as himself. He says The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) are only relevant when they can tie their names to Bullet Club, and while they are desperate to re-join, this is his era of Bullet Club, and Bullet Club has standards. He says that The Good Brothers are not good enough anymore. Jay White says that The Good Brothers cannot rejoin Bullet Club, but he is a nice guy and willing to allow them to appeal that decision. Suddenly, The Elite ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows, "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson, Kenny Omega) show up. Don Callis says that Jay White was always one of his favorite talents when he was in New Japan, then says he remembers what "the real Bullet Club" was like when The Elite was in it. He says that while Jay White was doing things for the veterans in the dojo, The Elite were selling out the Tokyo Dome, and says that Jay White's Bullet Club is full of mid-carders. Callis then says that Jay White should be asking to join The Elite. Jay White makes light of the fact that Don Callis got fired from Impact Wrestling, and reminds The Elite of the night that he beat Kenny Omega. Omega says he and Callis will talk things over in the back, then let The Good Brothers talk with Jay White. The Good Brothers say that Jay White should be thanking them for making his way up and "earning a liveable wage" after they left America to get rich. Jay White says it never changes, saying The Good Brothers still do nothing but talk and that their careers peaked when they lost the 2012 G1 Final and he became everything The Good Brothers wish they could have been. This starts a brawl between Jay White and The Good Brothers, with The Good Brothers quickly overpowering Jay White. As The Good Brothers go for the Magic Killer, Chris Bey runs into the right and fights The Good Brothers. The Good Brothers soon retreat after Jay White is back on his feet.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander, who says that he will keep lining up contenders and knocking them down after bringing the X Division to new heights. As he says that he can be a champion that Impact and its fans can look up to, Kenny Omega and Don Callis show up, and Omega confronts Alexander for saying he wants to be the face of the company, and Don Callis has to hold him back.

Backstage, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) ask Jay White if he has forgotten where he come from before saying he should be thankful to them for giving him the life that he is living, and that by putting his hands on them, they have started a war. Gallows tells Jay White that he hopes he is enjoying his liveable wave, then challenges him and Chris Bey to a tag team match next week.

FinJuice (Juice Robinson and David Finlay) beats "Inevitable" Ace Austin and Madman Fulton after Juice Robinson stacks up Madman Fulton. After the match, Austin and Fulton attack FinJuice, but Finuice soon fight back before they are attacked by Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera. After Juice Robinson is laid out, Ace Austin hits Juice Robinson with The Fold.

We hear from Rich Swann and Willie Mack. Swann says that Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner, Rhyno) has told them that they have a target on the backs due to costing them the Impact tag team titles, and says when they lost the tag titles, they blamed themselves. Swann says that if they have something to prove, they are not hard to find. Willie Mack is about to challenge them to a match when the lights flicker and Violent By Design ambush them. Eric Young says they found them, and next week, Violent By Design ends them.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Moose as he knocks on Scott D'Amore's door. Moose says that Chris Sabin got lucky at Slammiversary, and demands a rematch against Chris Sabin. Sabin shows up and says he is game for a rematch. D'Amore tells them that they will have their match next week, and Sabin tells Moose that he cannot wait to beat him again.
