Generation NXT - NXT recap for September 10, 2024

In a tweet from last night, it is announced that The Rascalz cannot compete tonight, and will be replaced by The Street Profits in tonight's NXT Tag Team Championship match.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. Nathan Frazer and Axiom for the NXT Tag Team Championships is disrupted by Tama Tonga pulling Angelo Dawkins out of a pinfall attempt. Joseph Fatu and Tonga Loa also show up and decimate everyone in the match. Nathan Frazer and Axiom retain the NXT Tag Team Championships.



In footage from "NXT Anonymous," Tony D'Angelo asks a hooded figure to take Oba Femi out for disrespecting his family, and even hands this hooded figure an envelope full of money.

We see a video package of Giulia's road to NXT.

Giulia beats Chelsea Green in her NXT debut.



Backstage, Blake Howard interviews Trick Williams. Trick says he has never had a Last Man Standing match before and knows it takes grit and determination, and that nothing stop him from becoming NXT Champion again. He says that he respects Pete Dunne's game, but tonight, he will be the last man standing.

In a Twitter video from Jordynne Grace, Jordynne says the TNA Knockouts World Championship represents the best outside of WWE, and says she is holding an open challenge for her title in NXT before the locker room is stacked from top to bottom and because the more opponents she defeats, the more prestigious her title becomes. She tells NXT to bring their best, as she will bring hers.

We see Lexis King at the barbershop as he brags about his recent victories as well as his beard before he is suddenly jumped by Oro Mensah.

In the women's locker room, The Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Jazmyn Nyx) mocks Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan. Lola Vice dares them to step up to Jordynne Grace, and when they refuse, Lola says The Fatal Influence knows they will be making a fatal mistake. The Fatal Influence leaves before things get worse.

Charlie Dempsey retains the NXT Heritage Cup Championship against Je'Von Evans two falls to one (2-1). Dempsey scores the first fall with 2:00 (two minutes) left in Round 2 with a Dragon Suplex after ramming the back of Je'Von's head into the top turnbuckle as both men try to pin each other with a backslide pin. Je'Von scores the second fall with :10 (ten seconds) left in Round 3 following a splash from the top rope. Things nearly come to blows after Round 4 when Cedric Alexander has to pull Dempsey off of Je'Von during a post-round guillotine choke. Dempsey wins the third and deciding fall with :52 (fifty-two seconds) left in Round 5 after Wren Sinclair distracts the referee so that Tavion Heights - who is now back from Japan - can attack Je'Von from the outside.



We hear from Rosemary, who states that she and Wendy Choo have united under the . She says one reason will be revealed tonight, another will be revealed next week, and that one is for right now, saying that Tatum Paxley and Lyra Valkyria have made their bed but have failed to see what is hiding beneath and have also failed to check their windows. All the while, we see a dollhouse, which Rosemary and Wendy destroy.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews "All Ego" Ethan Page, who says that he should be thanked for the era that everyone is currently in and will continue to live in after October 1st. He says he has Pete Dunne figured out and that Trick Williams is "still chasing ghosts" after being lucky to be NXT Champion once, and that he gets to both men demolish each other before he picks up the scraps.

Oba Femi's opponent is revealed to be none other than Hammerstone from TNA.

Oba Femi beats Hammerstone, much to Tony D'Angelo's chagrin backstage.



Backstage, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger tell Robert Stone and Stevie Turner that they want a match with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, and they get it. We then hear from Duke Hudson, surrounded by Riley Osborne and Thea Hail, who calls Ridge Holland's actions inexcusable and wants Andre Chase to watch him give Ridge a Chase University-sized ass whupping.

In the women's locker room, Wren Sinclair asks Kelani Jordan if she has ever thought about holding an open challenge. Meanwhile, Jaida Parker is looking for The Fatal Influence, but Lola Vice says that after last week, Jaida looked like she needed help. Jaida says she will deal with Lola later and leaves. Kelani says that Jaida and Lola are the perfect choice for taking care of The Fatal Influence.

Ridge Holland beats Duke Hudson. After the match, Ridge continues to attack Duke Hudson, then throws him through the barricade. Ridge grabs the broken piece of barricade and throws it on top of Hudson before DDT'ing him on it.

Backstage, Jordynne Grace briefly meets Giulia.

We hear from Pete Dunne, who says that it all started when he told Trick Williams to figure it out, and says that he himself has been figuring it out his whole life. He says that Trick will be thinking about he did not figure it out while he becomes NXT Champion.

It is announced that The Miz will host a special edition of Miz TV on the premiere of NXT on The CW on October 1st.

Wes Lee suddenly shows up and tells Zachary Wentz that he is the reason Trey Miguel is out of action, and that they will end this in a street fight on October 1st.

Sol Ruca answers Jordynne Grace's open challenge for the Total Nonstop Action Knockouts World Championship.

Sol Ruca vs. Jordynne Grace for the Total Nonstop Action Knockouts World Championship ends with the lights going out and Rosemary and Wendy Choo showing up when they come back on, with Wendy putting Jordynne in a sleeper.



Backstage, Tatum Paxley shows Lyra Valkyrie around her dollhouse, then Lyra says they need to take Wendy Choo and Rosemary seriously. After Tatum says Wendy used her to get to championship gold, Lyra says they need to show them what they are made of.

Backstage, General Manager Ava congratulates Giulia - who has Funaki as a translator - on her debut when Roxanne Perez shows up and tells Giulia she will not take over her division. Giulia says Roxanne is and should be scared, and Ava tells Roxanne to leave the room.

Backstage, Shawn Spears gets in the middle of Brooks Jensen and Dion Lennox as Jensen wants Lennox to describe the gaslighting by Shawn Spears that Lennox speaks of. Lennox leaves, and Shawn tells Jensen that Lennox is telling him what to think instead of letting him think for himself, and wants to know what believes before telling him he will allow him to make decision for himself. Meanwhile, Eddy Thorpe runs into Ashante "Thee" Adonis, who still does not believe that Eddy isn't trying to date one of the many women that he is friends with.

Trick Williams beats Pete Dunne in a Last Man Standing Match to become #1 contender for the NXT Championship after "All Ego" Ethan Page shows up and Trick sends him through the announce table as he gets back up on his feet.



Backstage, General Manager Ava tells Robert Stone and Stevie Turner will be on NXT next week to announce something for October 1st.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 16, 2024

The Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz, Wes Lee) beat Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) in a six-man tag match. During the match, Joe Hendry shows up to guest on commentary.





Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Chase University (Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, Thea Hail, Riley Osborne). As soon as Kelly mentions Roxanne Perez, Thea Hail gets ready for her match, and Duke Hudson follows her. Andre Chase says that when Duke Hudson is hard to stop when on his A-Game and that tonight, Chase University will show up and show out. Riley Osborne says that Duke Hudson will beat the unbeatable and bring the North American Championship to Chase University.

Duke Hudson has to stop Thea Hail from attacking Roxanne Perez backstage.

Backstage, "All Ego" Ethan Page is in General Manager Ava's office, stating that NXT is in unsafe working environment when Oro Mensah shows up. Oro wants a shot at the NXT Championship, but Ethan tells him he cannot beat him and refuses to defend the title, saying Oro is not a worthy challenger. Ava refuses to make the match official due to Oro's anger, and Oro tells Ethan that the longer Ethan runs, the worse it will get. Ethan Page changes his mind on defending, then picks Dante Chen for his opponent.

Roxanne Perez heads to the ring. Roxanne says that the fans are witnessing greatness before her eyes, yet give Lola Vice the standing ovation when it should have been her. She says that the fans do not deserve to watch her perform, even though she is so good before her prime and she is competing with the history books. Roxanne then mentions Charlotte Flair going from her first televised NXT match to become a future Hall of Famer with 14 women's world championship reigns, and says she is going to shatter all of her records. Roxanne then addresses Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer and the fans thinking they will beat her, and says that even they will not have a chance to beat her, much like Thea Hail, who has as much a chance of beating her as Duke Hudson has of beating Duke Hudson. Thea Hail shows up and says Roxanne Perez acts like she is owed respect when she is really owed nothing, then admits she used to look up to her. She then says that Roxanne is doubting her, and says that she has beaten doubters before. After Thea says she will rewrite the history books and become one of the youngest NXT Women's Championship, Roxanne says it will not be Thea's time or anybody else's time, then says Thea is not ready and that her title "is for big girls, not children." After Roxanne calls Thea "a little girl," Roxanne kicks Thea in the gut and starts a brawl, which ends with Thea putting Roxanne in the Kimura Lock before Duke Hudson shows up and pulls her off.



Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Kelani Jordan, who says she had to dig down deep to retain again Sol Ruca, and while one challenge ends, another one beings, and as champion, she will keep upping her game. Wendy Choo shows up and looks at the NXT Women's North American Championship briefly, then leaves.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Lola Vice. Lola says Roxanne Perez had to hit her with the Pop Rox five times to beat her, then Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx show up and tell Lola to go back to MMA, but Lola takes this as a challenge and sees Jacy Jayne as her next opponent.

Je'Von Evans beats Brooks Jensen after Shawn Spears shows up and distracts Josh Briggs, and Brooks Jensen tells Briggs not to waste his time on Spears. After the match, Brooks Jensen attacks Je'Von Evans, but Josh Briggs quickly pulls Jensen away from him.

Backstage, Charlie Dempsey meets with Tony D'Angelo and tells him that he gave Damon Kemp the car trunk treatment. D'Angelo is impressed, then Dempsey says he is in a bit of a situation and needs some advice a female witness catching him in the act. D'Angelo tells Dempsey he will be have to take care of this one on his own.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Dante Chen, who says that he trains for moments like tonight and that he knows that "All Ego" Ethan Page sees him as an easy first challenger, but he plans to make the most out of this opportunity.

Backstage, Trick Williams is on the phone, saying he does not recognize himself without the NXT Championship. Ilja Dragunov says there is nothing he can do now that he is on the main roster. After the phone call, Trick notices Pete Dunne, but when he asks him for advice, Dunne says "Figure it out."

"All Ego" Ethan Page retains the NXT Championship against Dante Chen. After the match, Oro Mensah tries to attack Ethan Page, but Ethan gets the better of him. Ethan Page leaves the ring, but Oro Mensah gets back up and continues their brawl, and this time, Oro gets the upper hand and "pins" Ethan Page.



We see a video package of Duke Hudson's time in NXT.

No Mercy is Sunday, September 1st! Halloween Havoc is Sunday, October 27th!

Backstage, Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) is furious with their loss to The Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz, Wes Lee). Joe Coffey mentions Joe Hendry, who then shows up. Hendry says he gets where they are coming from, then says he is sticking around in NXT, but Joe Coffey says nobody likes him and that people think of Gallus and Drew McIntyre when they think of Scotland, not some "flash in the pan." Hendry says they would feel better if they believed in him, then leaves. Joe Coffey is furious.

Tatum Paxley beats Izzi Dame. Wendy Choo shows up to watch from ringside during the match. After the match, Wendy Choo produces a doll with the head ripped off, and Tatum Paxley puts the head back on it before Wendy leaves.

Backstage, Duke Hudson thanks Ridge Holland for getting him a title shot. Hudson says Oba Femi is the man, but he can be beaten.

Cedric Alexander and Ashante "Thee" Adonis are backstage, and Adonis is distracted by all of the female talent. Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson catch Adonis' attention, particularly Jakara. Oro Mensah shows up and confronts Adonis, saying this is not happening, and as Adonis calmly takes offense to Oro's confrontational nature, Cedric has to step in. Lash and Jakara walk away.

Lola Vice beats Jacy Jayne. After the match, Fallon Henley attacks Lola Vice while Jazmyn Nyx checks on Jacy Jayne. Jacy, Jazmyn and Fallon all attack Lola, but Sol Ruca and Karmen Petrovic show up to even the numbers game, and they and Lola soon clean house.

Backstage, Kelani Jordan meets Tatum Paxley, who says that Tatum is too old to be playing with dolls. Kelani walks away, and Tatum Paxley produces a doll that looks somewhat like Kelani.

Backstage, "All Ego" Ethan Page refuses to do an interview as he leaves the arena.

The O.C. (Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, "Michin" Mia Yim) beat OTM (Bronco Nima, Lucien Price, Jaida Parker) in a six-person tag match.

Backstage, No Quarter Catch Crew (Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, Tavion Heights) is met by Wren Sinclair, who wants to be part of the group and threatens to rat them out. She then messes with Myles Borne before telling Charlie Dempsey she will wrestle her way into the group.

We see footage of Lexis King getting in Eddy Thorpe's DJ booth at the club, and security steps in as both men throw down.

Oba Femi retains the NXT North American Championship against Duke Hudson.



Backstage, Brooks Jensen blames his loss on Josh Briggs, then challenges him to a match next week. Briggs says he does not want to put him through what he went through again, but Jensen demands it be no disqualification before leaving.

THE NXT LVL - NXT LVL UP recap for June 7, 2024

Tank Ledger beats Tavion Heights.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Sarah Schreiber interviews Wren Sinclair. Wren says she has shown and proved that she can climb to the top with her combine performance and feels honored to be part of that combine, and despite falling short to Kelani Jordan last week, she is proud of herself. She says that Adrianna Rizzo is a tough competitor and is so talented, and she must give her all to take her down.

Adrianna Rizzo beats Wren Sinclair.

Chase University (Riley Osborne and Duke Hudson) beat Javier Bernal and Drake Morreaux.

Halloween Havoc, Part One - NXT recap for October 24, 2023

New Years Day performs "Vampyre" at the start of tonight's show.



Scarlett and Shotzi are the hosts for tonight's show. They announces that the Devil's Playground Match between Roxanne Perez and Kiana James is the opening match for tonight's show.

Roxanne Perez beats Kiana James in a Devil's Playground match after hitting Kiana with her own business bag before hitting a Pop Rox on it. After the match, it is revealed that there was a brick in Kiana James' business bag.



In backstage footage from yesterday, Vic Joseph interviews Carmelo Hayes. He says both he and Trick Williams wanted the NXT Championship, but he did not attack him. As for his NXT Championship match with Ilja Dragunov, it is all about not just the NXT title, but the title of "Him," and he cannot be "Him" without the title. When asked if he would be in this match had Trick not been injured, he says yes, as he has to do what he has to do.



Backstage, Shotzi and Scarlett predict a not-so-good future for Meta-Four (Noam Dar, Oro Mensah, Lash Legend, Jakara Jackson) through tarot cards, predicting that the NXT Heritage Cup will soon give Noam Dar grief. Akira Tozawa shows up and steals the NXT Heritage Cup from underneath Meta-Four's collective nose.

Lexis King beats Dante Chen in his NXT debut.



Backstage, Andre Chase and Duke Hudson talk about their tag team match with Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne when Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo shows up and wish Chase and Hudson luck tonight.

Kelani Jordan beats Arianna Grace to advance to the finals of the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament.



In footage from earlier today, Von Wagner is still undergoing rehab when Mr. Stone shows up. Mr. Stone tells Von Wagner that he knows he will get beaten up next week, but if he can knock the smirk off of Bron Breakker's face, it will be worth it. Von Wagner says he will not be anywhere near ready to be in Mr. Stone's corner next week, but Mr. Stone says he is not worried and that he has got this. Von Wagner smiles as Mr. Stone leaves.

Shotzi and Scarlett plug their "Chamber of Horrors" series on WWE's YouTube channel when Diamond Mine shows up. Julius Creed says that Humberto Carillo and Angel Garza cost them a tag team title shot, and Shotzi says the match should not just be a normal tag match. Shotzi spins the wheel, and The Creed Brothers' match next week becomes a Tables, Ladders and Scares Match.

Chase University (Andre Chase and Duke Hudson) beat The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo) to become the NXT Tag Team Champions! During the match, Jacy Jayne hands Andre Chase a crowbar, but Andre tosses it away, saying he does not need it to win. Jacy Jayne soon gets on the apron, and D'Angelo gets knocked into Jacy, knocking Jacy off the apron and distracting D'Angelo, allowing Andre Chase to roll D'Angelo up for the win and the tag team titles.



It's time for Nathan Frazer's Hard Home Hitting Home Truths. Nathan Frazer talks about his tiff with "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, then says he came back from injury last year to improve and that next week, he will face Dominik for the North American title.



We see some predictions from Ireland as to who will win between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women's Championship.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Baron Corbin, who says that he came so close to win but so close, and says that he did everything in his power to win. He also says that if he wanted to take Trick Williams out, he would do it to his face, then says anybody could have attacked Trick backstage last week. He says that all he cares about Ilja Dragunov and the NXT Championship, and says Dragunov should have his head on a swivel if he retains next week.

Blair Davenport beats Gigi Dolin in a Lights Out Match.



In backstage footage from yesterday, Vic Joseph interviews Ilja Dragunov. Dragunov looks forward to becoming a great champion, and says that his attack will only intensify now that he is no longer the challenger, and that Carmelo Hayes will break like he did at No Mercy. He says that Carmelo Hayes will enter their match next week as a desperate man and that Carmelo will not be as focused now than he was the first time, and that the intangibles will be the deciding factor.



Backstage, Carmelo Hayes is met by Shotzi and Scarlett, who say that the cards point to him when it comes to the attack on Trick Williams.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Tiffany Stratton, who says that she does not care who wins the Women's Division Championship and that she cares only about next week's title match. All of a sudden, Fallon Henley shows up dressed like Tiffany and makes fun of her, and Tiffany pretends to leave only to punch Fallon in the face and start a backstage brawl.



Lola Vice beats Karmen Petrovic to advance to the finals of the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament.



Backstage, Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne celebrate their tag team title victory when Piper Niven and Chelsea Green show up. This leads to Jacy and Thea arguing with Niven and Chelsea and Jacy proposing a match for the Women's tag titles.



Backstage, Noam Dar screams at a security guard when Lash Legend finds out through her phone that Akira Tozawa has taken the NXT Heritage Cup and that Noam Dar will have to come and get it at a haunted house to get it back.



Backstage, Carmelo Hayes is met by Bron Breakker, who says that he has proved he will do whatever it takes to stay on top and that Carmelo has done the same by attacking Trick Williams, and tells him that if he brings "that same 'Melo" next week, he will be champion again. He then says that after he knocks Mr. Stone out, it will be him versus Carmelo again.

Jade Cargill shows up and sits on a throne to watch the next match from a distance.

Lyra Valkyria beats Becky Lynch to become the NXT Women's Champion after reversing the Manhandle Slam into a pinfall attempt. After the match, Becky Lynch personally hands the NXT Women's Championship to Lyra Valkyria and riases her hand.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for October 17, 2023



Andre Chase and Duke Hudson last beat Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza in ten-team Bada Bing Bada Boom Battle Royal following the distraction by Brutus Creed, who was eliminated along with Julius Creed by Humberto and Garza after the latter team was tossed over the top rope while the referees on the outside were distracted by a brawl between The Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland and Butch) and OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price).



Backstage, Blair Davenport says it is not over between her and Gigi Dolin and that she is now more dangerous than ever, and that she wants to derail Dolin's career. She then challenges Dolin to a match at Halloween Havoc.

We hear from Lexis King, who says that he never really knew or loved his father Brian Pillman and that Pillman spent more time in hotel rooms than with him, and that Halloween Havoc is the start of his career, not the continuation of someone else's. He says he will start his own path and become a bigger name than his father ever was.



Carmelo Hayes heads to the ring. Carmelo talks about being in the ring with John Cena and The Undertaker before Baron Corbin shows up. Corbin says Carmelo sounds like a fanboy and that he thought Carmelo would be different from the rest of the locker room, saying fans should be in the stands and not the locker room. Corbin tells Carmelo to concentrate more on being a Superstar than a fan before Dijak shows up. Dijak tells Corbin and Carmelo to be more concerned about what he will do to them before he beats Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship and tells Carmelo that all the showboating will make no difference against him. Dijak also says that Corbin cries in the back because people do not want to shake his hand and that people are afraid of him, but Corbin says Dijak does not know him and that he is stupid. As Dijak threatens to beat both Corbin and Carmelo up, Dragunov shows up on the TitanTron and says all three men should be focused on their match tonight, as he will be watching to see who will challenge him for the NXT Championship. He also states that before the end of last week's show, he made one last decision, making their match a Fatal 4-Way with the last competitor being Trick Williams, who shows up. Dijak accuses Carmelo of stabbing Carmelo in the back and Corbin makes fun of Trick Williams' blue jeans, then Trick verbally fires back before telling Carmelo things are still good between them. Corbin accuses Trick of making the match a Fatal Four-Way behind Carmelo's back, but Carmelo is not shaken, saying he will beat whoever it takes to become champion. After Dijak asks Carmelo about Trick, Corbin and Dijak go for a cheap shot, but Carmelo and Trick fend them off as a team.

Backstage, Fallon Henley talks to the rest of the women's locker room about the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament from last year. Suddenly, Tiffany Stratton shows up and calls Henley a loser who spends time at a horse farm with dirt underneath her nails after Henley calls her a stuck-up, egotistical bitch.



Karmen Petrovic beats Jaida Parker by submission to advance in the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament.



Backstage, Tegan Nox is met by Natalya, who says she wanted to be here for tonight after she was there for her on Raw.

Lyra Valkyria beats Tegan Nox following the distraction from Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. After the match, Tegan and Natalya brawl with Chelsea and Piper to the back before Lyra says that nobody was standing in her way to a title match at Halloween Havoc and that all of her decisions have led her to a title match with Becky. She says that when Becky returned to her old wrestling school, she say something in her, but when she looked to becoming the first Irish-born NXT Women's Champion, Becky took that from her. She says that Becky may have won the title first, but she will still beat her for it. Becky shows up on the TitanTron and says she is proud of her and that she has been watching her for years, and that she has been wanting to share the ring with Lyra. She says that Lyra is good, but she is better, and when Lyra comes for her title, she comes for the reason she leaves her home and does what she does and she has to fight like her life depends on it. She says that when they step in the ring, Lyra will have to despise her and wear the chip on her shoulder that got her here.





Backstage, Carmelo Hayes talks with Trick Williams. Trick Williams says he got advice from John Cena before doing this, and apologizes for putting him through this. Carmelo then says that he has to do what he has to do, and Trick agrees, saying they will always be friends.

Backstage, Gigi Dolin says Halloween Havoc is her favorite event of the year, then reveals the wheel of stipulations and spins it. It lands on "Lights Out Match," and she tells Blair Davenport it will be lights out next week.

We see footage of Von Wagner in rehab from earlier this week. As Von Wagner struggles to get stronger, Mr. Stone says he may have started this, but when Von gets back to 100%, he will end things with Bron Breakker.

Shotzi Blackheart beats Kiana James after hitting Kiana with her own business bag and tricking the referee into thinking Kiana hit her with it after Roxanne Perez shows up to stop Kiana from cheating.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Lash Legend and Oro Mensah. It is (humorously) revealed that Jakara Jackson is not medically cleared. Akira Tozawa shows up looking for Noam Dar, and tells Oro Mensah that he is looking for Noam. Afterwards, it is revealed that Trick Williams has been attacked backstage.

It is reported by Kelly Kincaid that Trick Williams has been relocated to a local hospital for further evaluation and is out of tonight's main event, making the match a Triple Threat Match again.Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell tries to interview "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, and Nathan Frazer shows up and attacks Dominik. Their brawl goes all the way to the ring, and Rhea Ripley has to save Dominik from a Phoenix Splash.





Backstage, Shotzi notices that Roxanne Perez has become a lot better since they teamed up on SmackDown a year ago, then find the wheel of stipulations. Roxanne spins it and lands on "Devil's Playground Match," and says the playground will be Kiana James' hell.



Before the next match, Arianna Grace says it is always devastating to see someone get hurt and that her heart goes out to Jakara Jackson, as she was also sidelined by a worse injury and she came back better than ever. She hopes Jakara also comes back better, too, although it pains her deeply to accept her bye into the semi-finals of the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament. Suddenly, her new opponent, Brinley Reece, heads to the ring.

Arianna Grace beats Brinley Reece to advance in the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament after Arianna rakes Brinley's face and gouges her eyes outside of the referee's vision.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Bron Breakker. Bron says last week's episode was the biggest in history because of him, then Mr. Stone shows up. Bron tells Mr. Stone to run back to Wagner and help him with his rehab, but Mr. Stone confronts Bron for what he did to Von Wagner and says he wants him at Halloween Havoc. Bron laughs as he accepts the challenge, then tells Mr. Stone to call a hospital.



Carmelo Hayes beats Dijak and Baron Corbin after Corbin hits Dijak with End of Days and Carmelo hits Corbin from out of nowhere with Nothing But Net to face Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship at Halloween Havoc.



Backstage, Lyra Valkyria looks at a picture of herself with Becky Lynch, and says that in one time, Becky's title is hers. As she tears up the picture and leaves, Jade Cargill shows up on the nearby television and points at her wrist.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for September 19, 2023

Becky Lynch heads to the ring to start tonight's show. She says that the NXT Women's Championship Tour continues, then calls out numerous NXT Superstars before stating it feels good to be back and represent the fans, as the fans make NXT. Becky states that "Tiffy Time" is over, but admits that Tiffany Stratton pushed her to her limit and can have her rematch when she is ready. As Becky calls her an idiot and an asshole, Tiffany shows up. Tiffany says she is getting a rematch, stating that she deserves it, and while Becky may be number one, she is the future of WWE and the future two-time NXT Women's Champion. She then says she wants the rematch tonight. She then says she knew the fans would love that, and announces that the rematch is not happening tonight, as the fans cheered for her until Becky showed up. Tiffany wants her rematch on a bigger stage: No Mercy. Becky tells Tiffany that the results will be the same, not because she is not good enough, but because she is not hungry enough, for she is entitled. She says it is down to who wants it more, and that she wants it more than Tiffany. Tiffany says Becky should be thanking her for her return to NXT, for if she had not mentioned her, Becky would be heading to the next retirement home for the next legend to beat for some clout. Becky says they both might as well go punch for punch, then she punches Tiffany in the face only to be ambushed by Kiana James. Kiana holds Becky up so that Tiffany can hit her with a chair, but Becky fends them off and forces them to retreat.



Backstage, Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo look into possible contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championships, and decide to have them fight it out to see who wants an opportunity more.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Ilja Dragunov, who says that he is still suffering and yet he will still keep going, and at No Mercy, the dragon will cover his wings in gold. Becky Lynch shows up and Dragunov lets her have the floor, and Becky says she can go two-on-one with Kiana James and Tiffany Stratton tonight.

Kelly Kincaid interviews Meta-Four (Noam Dar, Oro Mensah, Lash Legend, Jakara Jackson) in the Meta-Four Lounge. Everyone is dressed like Morpheus from The Matrix as Noam Dar says he will retain the NXT Heritage Cup.

Backstage, Trick Williams is met by "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. Dominik says he knows how Trick feels living in Carmelo Hayes' shadow, but Trick says he is in nobody's show. Dominik says The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley) helped him shine when he got out of Rey Mysterio's shadow and that they can help him do the same. Trick says nothing or no one will drive a wedge between him and Carmelo, but Dominik says he used to say the same thing about Rey.



Butch beats Tyler Bate with ten seconds left in Group A of the Global Heritage Invitational and earns two (2) points. With five points, Pete Dunne is mathematically the winner of Group A and moves on to the finals.



In footage from earlier today, Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail head to an ASC store to go shopping. Thea Hail tries on some clothes, and ends up finding the perfect outfit. Jacy says she cannot wait for everyone to see the new Thea Hail next week.



Duke Hudson beats Joe Coffey with a schoolkid pin in Group B of the Global Heritage Invitational and earns two (2) points. This causes Nathan Frazer, Joe Coffey and Duke Hudson to be in a three-way tie with four points each.



Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Nathan Frazer, who says that he has a second chance with a Triple Threat Match to decide the winner. Kelly then tells him that she just found out that the Triple Threat Match is tonight.

We see a tweet from Mr. Stone, stating that Von Wagner is not in a good condition.

Roxanne Perez beats Lola Vice despite Lola Vice countering Pop Rox.



We hear from Eddy Thorpe, who sees the branch where Dijak whipped his belt into and tore the bark from. He says that Dijak wants him to display his viciousness and his wild side, and that Dijak wants to press buttons and call him "a savage." He says that there is a merciless savage inside of him and that he has insulted his culture and desecrated his land, and he wants to repay the favor with a strap match. Eddy Thorpe then tells Dijak that if he wanted a savage, he's got one.

Backstage, Becky Lynch is met by Roxanne Perez. Becky tells Roxanne to keep doing what she is doing. Roxanne says she took a page from Becky's book and that she isn't letting people walk all over her anymore. She also asks Becky to let her be her tag partner, but Becky tells Roxanne to ice up her shoulder and that she is not called "The Man" for nothing.



Ilja Dragunov guests on commentary for the next match.

Dominik Mysterio beats Carmelo Hayes by disqualification when Carmelo Hayes inadvertently throws Dominik Mysterio into Ilja Dragunov and Dominik follows it up by throwing Carmelo into Dragunov on purpose before slapping Dragunov in the face. After the match, Dragunov gives Dominik the beating of his life, but Carmelo runs into the ring and ends up the victim of a Torpedo Moscow after Dominik throws Carmelo into the path of it. As Dominik leaves the ring, he is superkicked by Dragon Lee, who then raises up the NXT North American Championship.





Backstage, Trick Williams is met by Joe Gacy and Ava. Gacy says everyone wants to be their own man but never thinks about how it affects everyone else. Ava says Trick's loneliness is written all over him, but Trick says he is still loyal to Carmelo. Gacy says their situations are the same and asks Trick to join them, but Trick tells them he knows how this movie ends.

Backstage, Andre Chase congratulates Duke Hudson on bringing Group B of the Global Heritage Invitational to a three-way tie, then fires him up for the Triple Threat Match.

Backstage, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price take part in some dice games and end up winning big. They look forward to dominating the tag team division, and Scrypts says this is why he hangs with them as they know what it is like to struggle and what it is like to dominate.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. Hank Walker says Bronco Nima and Lucien Price are big dudes, but so are they, and Tank Ledger says that they are here to feast on the tag team division and they have no problem working up the appetite.

Joe Coffey beats Duke Hudson and Nathan Frazer in a Triple Threat Match to win Group B and move on to the Global Heritage Invitational finals after knocking Frazer out of the ring following Frazer's Phoenix Splash on Hudson and hitting Hudson with All The Best For The Bells. After the match, Butch and Joe Coffey have a staredown in the ring.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Mustafa Ali, who says that nobody but himself is in an uproar, for he is the true #1 contender for the NXT North American Championship and he promised Ilja Dragunov a shot after winning the title. He wants to know how Dragon Lee - who he beat - got a title shot before him on next week's Raw, and says neither Dragon Lee or Dominik deserve to hold the championship. He says he will deal with both of them next week on Raw. (This never happens, as Mustafa Ali gets released from WWE two days later.)

Backstage, Tiffany Stratton and Kiana James agree that they both hate Becky Lynch and that they will do some serious damage to Becky as she has no friends. Tiffany also says she has a surprise for Becky.

Backstage, Brooks Jensen cannot figure out why Myles Borne would turn on him and Josh Briggs, and as Josh Briggs and Fallon Henley argue, Baron Corbin shows up and tells them to shut up so he can enjoy his massage. Briggs says that he was glad Corbin heard that, as he thought his eardrums got blown lout last week, then calls Baron out for calling the locker room soft while having a massage before telling him he will need another one soon. Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria beat Tiffany Stratton and Kiana James. After the match, Tiffany Stratton hits both Becky and Lyra in the back with a chair, then lifts up the NXT Women's Championship over a downed Becky. Becky grabs the microphone and says that if this is how Tiffany wants to play, then their rematch will be an Extreme Rules Match.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for September 5, 2023

Tiffany Stratton retains the NXT Women's Championship against Kiana James after using Kiana James' business bag as a weapon. Tiffany misses and hits the 401K, but when the referee takes the bag out of the ring, Tiffany rakes Kiana's eyes and hits the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to retain. After the match, Becky Lynch congratulates Tiffany Stratton before mentioning that the NXT Women's Championship is the only title she has yet to win, and after Tiffany's appearance at Payback, she says it is time for The Man to come around in NXT. She announces that next week, Becky challenges Tiffany for the NXT Women's Championship.





Backstage, Diamond Mine (Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Ivy Nile) is back in their gym. Julius says there will be more drama or goofing off, and Brutus says they have invited the whole tag team division to the gym and that it time to get back to the top of the mountain. Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, and Julius thanks them for their help from earlier. Suddenly Edris Enofe and Malik Blade show up wanting a tag team title match. Stacks and D'Angelo decide to stick around, as it will be a long night.

Ilja Dragunov beats Oro Mensah. After the match, Wes Lee shows up and says he has the first shot at Carmelo Hayes, but Dragunov tells him that Carmelo Hayes is his and that he will go through everyone who gets in his way. Wes Lee says he has more heart than Dragunov can handle and that he will go through him to get to the NXT Championship. Carmelo Hayes shows up and says he has talked with Shawn Michaels and has gotten all the advice he has needed to hear. He says there is no asterisk next to his match with Dragunov, saying Dragunov took a risk and he took advantage. He also says Wes Lee can come up with any excuse he wants, but Wes took a risk and he took advantage. He then announces that Wes Lee and Ilja Dragunov will face each other, and the winner will face him at No Mercy for the NXT Championship. He hopes they show mercy on each other, because at No Mercy, he will not.





"Dirty" Dominik Mysterio is seen ripping pages out of a WWE rule book before looking at his purple striped referee shirt in the locker room.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Nathan Frazer, who says that he wants the NXT Heritage Cup back so badly as of late. Frazer says that he did not get to NXT by slowing down and that he will will not start tonight.

Backstage, Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail talk backstage when Gigi Dolin shows up and confronts Jacy for taking advantage of Thea. Blair Davenport shows up and calls Thea Hail a child trying to swim in shark-infested waters. This leads to Gigi Dolin and Blair Davenport arguing, and Thea Hail butts in and says she is a grown woman, not a kid, as she tells Gigi Dolin not to stand up for her. Gigi says she may not know Thea, but show knows Jacy, and says Jacy is not the kind of person Thea should be around. Thea refuses to listen and leaves with Jacy.

Nathan Frazer beats Duke Hudson in Group B of the Global Heritage Invitiational and scores two (2) points, putting him in a three-way tie with Joe Coffey and Duke Hudson. Meta-Four (Noam Dar, Oro Mensah, Lash Legend, Jakara Jackson) are seen watching from a distance during this match as well as tonight's other Global Heritage Invitational match.



At the Diamond Mine gym, Hank Walker and Tank Walker talk with The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) about how well they know each other. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price introduce themselves and say they are here to win and want tag team gold, then Scrypts shows up and says that the streets made Bronco and Lucien and that he can relate to that.

Tyler Bate beats Dabba-Kato after getting him in the airplane spin.



Backstage, Dominik Mysterio meets with Carmelo Hayes and talks about how hard it is to be a champion before heading to the ring to see who he defends his title against next.

Backstage, Lyra Valkyria and Roxanne Perez talk about how tired they are of Dominik Mysterio and Becky Lynch's appearance when Kiana James shows up and shows his displeasure with tonight's loss. Lyra tells Kiana that challenging for the title and winning it are two different things, and Kiana brags about taking the opportunity from Roxanne and her lack of hesitation towards doing it again, which starts a brawl between Kiana and Roxanne.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Baron Corbin, who says Bron Breakker and Von Wagner have something to prove and have to prove it to him. He does not care who wins tonight, and that he will enjoy watching both men destroy each other before he picks up the scraps.

In backstage footage from moments ago, Kelly Kincaid interviews Tiffany Stratton, but Tiffany refuses.

Mustafa Ali beats Dragon Lee to become the #1 contender to the NXT North American Championship following a fast count on an O'Connor Roll after Dragon Lee complains to Dominik about the cadence on the pinfall attempt from his sit-out powerbomb. After the match, Mustafa Ali punches Dominik Mysterio in the face, then shakes hands with Dragon Lee before the two of them leave.



Backstage, Ilja Dragunov tells Trick Williams that he meant every word he said about him, but questions Trick's confidence in Carmelo Hayes. Trick says Carmelo can beat Dragunov again, but Dragunov gives him a week to either stop lying to his friend or stop lying to himself.

Backstage, Drew Gulak confronts Myles Borne for meeting with Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen behind his back, and he, Charlie Dempsey and Damon Kemp tell him that he is not ready and that next week is his one shot to make an impression.

In backstage footage from last week, Eddy Thorpe says he was ready for Dijak and that Dijak cannot win without take shortcuts, and that he is not done with Dijak yet.

Axiom vs. Butch in Group A of the Global Heritage Invitational ends in a ten-minute time limit draw. Axiom and Butch both earn one point. After the match, Tyler Bate shows up.



In backstage footage from earlier today, Von Wagner is seen apologizing in advance to the announce table for putting Bron Breakker through it. When Mr. Stone shows up, Von Wagner tells him that Breaker is going to get tabled tonight.

Back at the Diamond Mine gym, the entire tag team division is there when Los Lotharios (Humerto Carrillo and Angel Garza) show up wanting the NXT tag team titles. D'Angelo tells them threatening the D'Angelo Family (D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo) is not a good idea, but Angel Garza says he and Humberto Carrillo will claw their way to the tag team titles. When D'Angelo tells Los Lotharios to claw their way out of the room, Garza throws a punch at D'Angelo, starting a brawl between all the tag teams.

Thea Hail beats Gigi Dolin with the Kimura Lock after Blair Davenport attacks Gigi Dolin on the outside as Jacy Jayne distracts the referee.



Backstage, Ivy Nile shows up at a destroyed Diamond Mine gym to see that The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) have never felt better after fighting the rest of the NXT tag team division.



Backstage, Kelani Jordan talks with Lyra Valkyria about her recent loss when Dana Brooke shows up and accuses Lyra of trying to break them up as a team. Lyra says she had no problem with Dana up until now and says she was not teaching Kelani anything, but after she is done with Dana, Kelani may learn to make better friends.

In backstage footage from moments ago, Tiffany Stratton says she has done more in her first two years than Becky Lynch did, and while Becky Lynch may be a star, she is the center of the universe, and her championship is not going anywhere.



Baron Corbin guests on commentary for the next match.

Bron Breakker beats Von Wagner in a no-disqualification match despite Wagner powerbombing Breakker through the announce table. After the match, Breakker attacks Von Wagner with a chair before hitting him in the head with the ring steps, which the show blacks out to censor, ending the show.

In footage from earlier today, Kelly Kincaid interviews Karmen Petrovic. Petrovic says she grew up in a wartorn part of Eastern Europe, and she saw more by the age of five than most people see in their entire lives, so she is not intimidated by Ivy Nile. She admits Ivy is a force to be reckoned with and has more in-ring experience, but she has 23 years of combat experience in multiple disciplines and more medals than she can count. Petrovic says she is determined and she is ready to show who she is.

Generation NXT - NXT LIVE recap for July 11, 2023

The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) head to the ring to start tonight's show. Finn Balor says that NXT is the house that he built and that he is back to lay down some house rules with The Judgment Day. Damian Priest says Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams called them out to NXT to get a piece of them, but they are getting The Judgment Day that runs WWE and NXT, as they are "the murderer's row of WWE." Dominik tries to speak only to get booed, then Carmelo and Trick show up. Rhea takes offense to Dominik being interrupted, then Carmelo is about to say that Dominik is called "Dirty Dom" because of all the times that Dominik dropped the soap before Trick stops him. Carmelo then says that he appreciates The Judgment Day showing up and that it is all about Finn Balor, who is part of NXT Mount Rushmore, then says that NXT now has the "Trick and 'Melo" influence. He says that while Finn got the better of him on Raw, he is now in his arena and that the ball is in his court. Rhea laughs and says this was never about Trick and Carmelo, but Carmelo says he and Trick run things around here. Damian Priest says that is fair, but that is because he does not have The Judgment Day starting back at him every Tuesday night and he never misses a bullseye. Carmelo says Priest is cashing checks his mouth cannot cash, and Carmelo challenges The Judgment Day to a match before Finn Balor interrupts him to tell him that if he is to come at the prince, he had better not miss. Carmelo takes this as an acceptance of his challenge and simply proclaims "Let's do this, then."



In backstage footage from earlier today, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Tony D'Angelo. D'Angelo says he is at Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo's mercy, and that he honestly does not know him anymore as Stacks barely visits and he has been hearing some bad things lately.

We hear from Gigi Dolin, who says that everyone has a dark side and that she has put hers aside. She says Kiana James takes her anger out on her because she is the part of her she wishes she could still be, and after Kiana gave her a new coat of paint, she redecorated her office to remind her of a part of her that she cannot hide from. She says they are not that different, but she does not hide who she is while Kiana hides behind a lie. Backstage in the locker room, Kiana is surprised by some of the images from her past that Gigi Dolin has managed to dig up and is visibly shaken.



Andre Chase and Duke Hudson beat Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey with the Fratliner to Dempsey as Thea Hail has Drew Gulak in the Kimura Loc on the outside. During the match, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price are seen watching from the balcony, and the Chase University student section in the crowd does the wave, which goes across the arena.



We hear from Bron Breakker, who says that Ilja Dragunov made a big mistake thinking he was in the way of the NXT Championship when Dragunov himself was not even on his radar. Breakker says he leads the way, and while Dragunov will be champion again one day, there are not enough officials to stop him from breaking Dragunov on the way to The Great American Bash.

Backstage, Mr. Stone and Von Wagner talk about last week, with Von Wagner saying that while his parents tried to shield him from nastiness from other people that Javier Bernal's words reminded him of, they were not with him on the bus or at school, and the horrible treatment he received from other kids forced to go it alone and become the monster people thought he was to make it through life. He says he came to NXT to continue to be that monster, but when the crowd cheered for himself, he did not know what to do, and for the first time in his life, he feels like he is being himself, and he has Mr. Stone to thank for that.



Cora Jade beats Kelani Jordan. After the match, Cora grabs her Kendo stick, but Kelani evades getting hit and Dana Brooke fights Cora Jade, nearly hitting her with her own Kendo stick in the process.



We hear form Ilja Dragunov. He says that he will finish what Bron Breakker started a month ago and that Breakker will feel his wrath and fury, and tells Breakker that his fury is unmatched and will lead him to the NXT Championship.

In backstage footage from after last week's show, Eddy Thorpe thanks Gable Steveson for his help against Damon Kemp. Steveson says he has a lot to think about regarding his future, but he also loves being in NXT, too. Meanwhile, back in the locker room, everyone is impressed with Eddy Thorpe, but Dijak shows up and says that there is no way Thorpe is the toughest man in NXT after that match.



Ilja Dragunov beats Bron Breakker to become #1 contender for the NXT Championship at The Great American Bash.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Wes Lee. Wes Lee says that while he has treated every title defense like his biggest match, he admits that Mustafa Ali is a different animal. Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio show up and accepts an open challenge from Wes Lee despite Wes Lee not having an open challenge in so long due to things getting crazy every time he did, which Wes Lee mentions. Wes Lee then says he can make a match official right now, and Dominik tells him he will face him next week to give him time to prepare.



We hear from Baron Corbin, who torched his past last week and is now the master of his own destiny. He then says that he is now without a compass and wondering what his future holds, as his house and his life were built from the echoes of the last eight years. He says that he is fighting fate, and as he looks back, he can see that he had nothing in common with those he once portrayed to be, but now, he wonders who he is. Baron Corbin drives to a place where tiki torches are lit, and he sees a strange, hooded figure.



Tiffany Stratton beats Ivy Nile after shoving her way out of the Diamond Chain. After the match, Tiffany Stratton calls the fans annoying for chanting that she tapped out and tells them that she does not need to explain anything, as she beat Thea Hail fair and square.



Backstage, Thea Hail talks with Andre Chase about what she learned from Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey when Duke Hudson says that Thea Hail is getting to Tiffany Stratton. Andre Chase says Thea is not done with Tiffany, as she has made her tap out once and she can make her tap out again.



We find out via Twitter that Noam Dar has cancelled this week's Supernova Sessions due to not having the strength to carry on without the NXT Heritage Cup.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Blair Davenport, who says that while Roxanne Perez was a decorated champion, she has now arrived, and the women's division is now for grown women. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo beats Joe Coffey to free Tony D'Angelo from prison. (Had Joe Coffey won, Tony D'Angelo would have gone to trial.) During the match, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo lays down for Joe Coffey, but kicks out. Joe Coffey tells Stacks that they had a business deal, but Stacks tells Coffey he is no snitch. After the commercial break, we get a collect call from Tony D'Angelo, who states that Joe Coffey took the bait and that Stacks has Joe Coffey where they want him. Later on, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price briefly show up and distract Mark Coffey and Wolfgang. Later still, Mark Coffey tries to get involved in the match, but Stacks takes him out. Mark Coffey distracts the referee, but that allows Stacks to hit Joe Coffey with a crowbar before tossing it to Wolfgang and falling down, getting Wolfgang ejected from the match so he can beat Joe Coffey and free Tony D'Angelo.



Backstage, Ivy Nile is met by Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid, Ava Raine) and their followers. Ivy Nile blames Joe Gacy for The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) for being forced to leave NXT, but Joe Gacy says it is not possible because he was out of the building by that point, and Ava Raine says there is always room for one more in Schism.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon about Noam Dar, but they are soon interrupted by Los Lotharios (Humberto Garcia and Angel Garza), who want them to join them for the rest of the evening so they can put smiles back on their face. Valentina and Yulisa want none of this, with Valentina telling them to introduce themselves before hitting on them, Los Lotharios are soon met by Nathan Frazer and Dragon Lee, and they walk away.



The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Damian Priest) beat Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams During the match, Dominik Mysterio tries to get in the ring with a chair but is stopped by the referee, and Damian Priest tries to use his Money In The Bank Briefcase as a weapon only to be stopped by Ilja Dragunov, who gets inadvertently taken out by Carmelo Hayes, who is aiming for Priest. This allows The Judgment Day to win the match. After the match, Carmelo is furious with Dragunov.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for May 9, 2023

Tiffany Stratton beats Gigi Dolin to advance to the semi-finals of the NXT Women's Championship Tournament after targeting Gigi Dolin's injured left arm throughout the match.



Backstage, Joe Gacy says he sacrificed himself for The Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid), and he has no doubts that The Dyad will bring gold to The Schism (Gacy, Fowler, Reid, Ava Raine). The Dyad leave, then Gacy tells Ava Raine that he has taken her advice to heart and asks he to guide The Dyad like he would.

Earlier today at the barber shop, Trick Williams talks about his match with Bron Breakker. Carmelo tells Trick that he appreciates him standing up to Bron Breakker for him, even though he did not have to do this. Trick says he has been working and that he will beat Bron Breakker. He says that he has to take care of Bron Breakker, as Carmelo's biggest test is defending the NXT Championship while his biggest test is tonight.

Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) retains the NXT Tag Team Championships against The Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid) after Ivy Nile runs out and attacks Ava Raine.



In backstage footage from earlier today, Thea Hail talks about the WWE Draft with other Chase U classmates when Javier Bernal shows up and mocks Thea for not being in the women's title tournament when Duke Hudson shows up. Javier Bernal still thinks Duke Hudson is faking what he is doing, and Hudson challenges him to a match.

We see someone wearing a hoodie watching footage of multiple attacks at the Performance Center.

Backstage, Von Wagner and Mr. Stone talk. Mr. Stone brings up the photo of Von Wagner with stitches on his head from last week. Suddenly, Luca Cristafino shows up and aggravates Mr. Stone and Von Wagner, and Von Wagner nearly beats him up.



Backstage, Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) celebrate until Diamond Mine (Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Ivy Nile) show up. Gallus tells Diamond Mine to stay out of their business, and Julius Creed tells them to watch their tag titles. Gallus are undeterred as they leave to go out and party.

Eddy Thorpe beats Damon Kemp.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Kiana James. Kiana says she has the most difficult first-round opponent, but she thrives under pressure and the last year has spoken volumes. She says he has done everything she has wanted to do in NXT except winning the NXT Women's Championship.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Bron Breakker. Breakker says he has stopped caring after carrying the NXT Championship and the brand on his shoulder for over a year for nothing, and while the fans have chosen Carmelo Hayes, Carmelo is probably still pulling splinters out of his ass after what he did to him. He then says he will put Trick Williams in the same hospital he put Carmelo Hayes in.

Ilja Dragunov beats Dijak by disqualification after Dijak shoves the referee into the corner and hitting Dragunov with a chair. After the match, Dijak continues to attack Dragunov and choke slams him into the ring apron, then traps him underneath the ring steps while simultaneously standing on them.



Backstage, Wes Lee sees a meditating Tyler Bate in a smokey locker room and thanks him for his help last week, then tells him that he has his back tonight. He then tells Tyler that his match is next and that they will not let Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey suck the life out of NXT. Tyler Bate then wakes up and says he was in a deep trance-like state, then they both head to the ring.

A Twitter video from Dani Palmer reveals a challenge between the team of Tank Ledger and Hank Walker and the team of Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen.

Charlie Dempsey beats Tyler Bate after Drew Gulak distracts the referee and Joe Gacy - who shows up earlier in the match - hits Tyler Bate with a cheap shot.



Via Twitter, Carmelo Hayes hears Bron Breakker's message, then leaves the barber shop and says he cannot let Trick Williams handle his business by himself.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Dragon Lee. He says that Noam Dar only cares about himself and his Heritage Cup, then Noam Dar shows up on the nearby monitor, offering him an opportunity to be the special guest on the revival of Supernova Sessions and skyrocket his career. Dragon Lee says he will be at Supernova Sessions.



Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen beats Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. Near the end of the match, Tank Ledger loses a front tooth, and Tank spits it out and puts it in his singlet. Both teams shake hands after the match.



We hear from Lyra Valkyria, who says that one must evolve or be left behind and that she is not the same person from across the Atlantic from last year. She says three women have been marked on her road to the NXT Women's Championship, and Kiana James is the first.



It's time for Nathan Frazer Presents Hard Hitting Home Truths. Frazer talks about how seventeen NXT talents have moved to Raw and SmackDown, and that a world of talent are battling out for opportunities. Frazer then talks about how Noam Dar has carved out his own niche with the Heritage Cup and Supernova Sessions and how he was the show's first guest, then mentions the stark difference between his show and Noam's. He then brings up Noam Dar's strange behavior with the Heritage Cup before stating that Noam Dar will not have the Heritage Cup one day and that his world will come crashing down.



Lyra Valkyria beats Kiana James to advance to the semi-finals of the NXT Women's Championship Tournament.

Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) have drinks at the bar when they are met by Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo. D'Angelo tells Gallus he and Stacks wants the next shot at the titles, then Joe Coffey produces a bat and says they have no business. D'Angelo says they will eave and that they will get their tag team title match, and after being surrounded by Gallus and four random men who are also in the bar, D'Angelo and Stacks leave.



Bron Breakker beats Trick Williams with the Steiner Recliner. After the match, Bron Breakker puts Trick Williams in the Steiner Recliner again, but Carmelo Hayes rushes out and fights Breakker out only to be hit out of the air with a Spear. Bron Breakker then tells Carmelo that the NXT Championship should still be his.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for April 11, 2023

Carmelo Anthony and Trick Williams head to the ring to start tonight's show. Carmelo says everything between himself and Bron Breakker was supposed to be about respect, and that he let his guard down and he got caught slipping. He says that he gets that defeat is cold and lonely, but he says that he took the torch and that Bron did not pass it to him. Carmelo says that everybody wants him now and not Bron Breakker, and while they have done battle for a long time, WrestleMania weekend was just one chapter in their history. He then offers Bron Breakker a spot in the Fatal 4-Way match to decide a #1 contender at Spring Breakin'. Suddenly, Dragon Lee shows up, and he congratulates Carmelo on winning the NXT Championship before saying that Bron disrespected Carmelo and that Carmelo wants revenge, then says that he wants to face the best and that the NXT title proves who is the best. He knows that Carmelo wants Bron Breakker, but it will be the two of them for the NXT Championship. Carmelo welcomes Dragon Lee to NXT, but warns him not to interrupt the champion before giving him a pass because he is new and that he is not champion without reason. JD McDonagh then shows up and tells Carmelo that he should keep his head on a swivel as champion, as his armor of invincibility has slipped already and he and Trick got laid out by Bron Breakker. McDonagh says that if it were him, he would have headbutt Carmelo to hear how it sounds, then says ego is loud and confidence is quiet and that Carmelo will find out that he is number one. Carmelo reminds McDonagh that he still need to get over the rainbow to get to the pot of gold, and after he says that this was a leprechaun joke, Grayson Waller shows up. Grayson Waller shows up and insults Dragon Lee before saying a real superstar will take the NXT Championship from him, then Carmelo says that everyone wants to be the superstar before asking who will do what it takes to become it, as they are plenty of "Thems" and he is "Him."



Before the next match, Fallon Henley meets with Kiana James. Kiana says that she wants the "Yee-Haw" Fallon and not the goody two-shoes Fallon and that they need to win by any means necessary after Fallon brings up Brooks Jensen. When Josh Briggs shows up asking about Brooks Jensen, Kiana tells him and Fallon that Jensen is not here and that he does not want to be near either of them right now.

We see a TikTok video where Tiffany Stratton chews Sol Ruca and Dani Palmer out for making a TikTok video about their debut in the (public) parking lot and telling them that nobody cares about Dani's debut or their match tonight.

Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre retain the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships against Fallon Henley and Kiana James. Shortly after the beginning of the match, Brooks Jensen shows up and heads to the arena, and when he grabs Kiana's purse, Fallon screams at Jensen as he is ejected from the match by the referee. Jensen then shoves Briggs on his way out.



We hear from Noam Dar, who says that he will take NXT to a new level and that is a combination of swag and style and has unlimited potential. He says that there is only one Supernova and that he wows everyone while breaking jaws, then brings up the Heritage Cup rules as he says that he is bring his title and his talents to NXT. Noam Dar says that the future of European wrestling belongs to him as he sees what the best of NXT has to offer, and asks who will step up for the cup before saying there are levels to this and that he is the top.



Andre Chase, Duke Hudson and Thea Hail hold an awards presentation for Hudson in the ring. Andre Chase says that Hudson's recent success have made him "most valuable player," and while they have not always seen eye to eye, he knows that Hudson will fight for him. After being stopped for saying "motherfuckers," Duke Hudson is presented with the Chase University MVP Trophy. Hudson says that he hates awards celebrations and that he does not want the spotlight him, as it is not about "Chase Me," but about "Chase U," but in the biggest night of his career, he took Chase U to the promised land. He says that it was a group effort, but he was the one who led the march towards evil. Hudson thanks Andre Chase and Thea Hail before declaring himself Chase University's MVP. He then says that as much as he loves spelling "MVP," he also love spelling "Chase U." As he leads the spelling chant, Bron Breakker interrupts, saying the NXT Championship is a curse on his career and that he does not need the fans' approval anymore. He then says the fans will see a side of him that they have never seen before, and if anyone should take his place in the #1 contender's match, it should be Duke Hudson. Hudson and Bron shake hands, then Bron pretends to leave before hitting Andre Chase with a Spear. Hudson runs off with the trophy, then Bron Breakker tears up the nearby Chase University flag before dropping it on Andre Chase.



We hear from Gigi Dolin, who is near her now boarded-up childhood home where he and her brother dealt with their mother's demons and where she ran away and never looked back at the first opportunity. She says that Jacy Jayne knew all about this, and while Jacy broke her heart, she will never break her spirit. Gigi says her story may have started out ugly, but it bloomed into something beautiful.



We see Twitter video from "NXT Anonymous" where Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo attack Elton Prince with a crowbar and shove Kit Wilson in the trunk of their Chrysler 400.



Eddy Thorpe beats Javier Bernal as Damon Kemp shows up and watches the match from the ramp.



In backstage footage from earlier today, Tank Ledger is met by Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang), and Joe Coffey) picks a fight with Ledger as Ledger mentions his incoming NXT debut. After Tank Ledger is held back, The Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid, Ava Raine) confronts Gallus, and Joe Gacy makes it clear that The Dyad (Fowler and Reid) want the NXT tag team titles and that they have been been ostracized from them. Wolfgang says all they had to do was ask, but Jagger Reid says "We're not asking you...we're telling you."



We hear from Scrypts, who asks Axiom in written prose if his biggest fear is his future or his past and if he is afraid to see the guy behind the mask. He says that what will come next for Axiom will not be anything new, as Axiom cannot expose him because he has exposed Axiom.

Tiffany Stratton beats Sol Ruca.



Backstage, Duke Hudson thanks Andre Chase for taking one for the team and mentions tonight's Fatal 4-Way Match, saying he will be the first person to bring gold to Chase University.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Diamond Mine (Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Ivy Nile). Ivy Nile says she has taken care of Tatum Paxley, and Julius Creed states that Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) has run out of surprises for their tag team title match next week. Brutus Creed says that they are not done with Gallus yet, and that they will be watching Joe Coffey Suddenly, Tiffany Stratton shows up and brags about tonight's win before wondering why she is not #1 contender for the NXT Women's Championship.

Cora Jade heads to the ring. Cora asks if she has everyone's attention now, then says she returned to NXT only to find the women's division completely flipped upside-down and that it is time to humble some people, starting with Zoey Stark. She says that while Stark can do some things she cannot do, the one thing Stark cannot do is never be champion because she will always be the challenger. Cora then says that she put Roxanne Perez on the map the second she put the NXT women's tag team titles on her back, and while she will not touch what she has been through because it is real, she asks how long she will use that as her crutch. She says that Roxanne Perez is not "a special exception" and proof that some handle the pressure better than others. Cora then mentions Gigi Dolin, stating that she has broken away from Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne)before stating that the NXT Women's Championship is hers, not Dolin's. After telling Dolin not to let the door hit her "Instagram famous" ass on the way out, Cora Jade tells Tiffany Stratton that she runs NXT, not her. Cora then admits she knows nothing much about Lyra Valkyrie and is not a fan of birds, yet Lyra attacks anything with a pulse and shows no fear. She then says Lyra should be fearing her. Finally, Cora mentions Indi Hartwell, telling her that this is her NXT and that she is the hero of this story, as this is not Indi's fairytale. Lyra Valkyria shows up and tells Cora to shut up, then says that while she can cut through the women's division with her vicious tongue, the division took a step forward. Lyra asks if watching Stand & Deliver caused jealousy and gave Cora Jade "a big reality check," and tells her that if she wants to come back as a house of fire, she can give her her crown right here and now, but if she goes for the women's title, she will rip her eyes out. Cora slaps Lyra, but Lyra knocks her out of the ring.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Wes Lee. Wes Lee says he still has a chip on his shoulder and that he has to remain on point as Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey show up. Gulak says he is a fan of his aerial offense, but asks if Wes Lee can get it done if he is grounded. After Dempsey asks how it will feel when he tries to destroy him, Wes Lee says that he has only one goal, and it is to retain his title.

Ilja Dragunov beats Von Wagner. As per pre-match stipulation, Mr. Stone is gone as Von Wagner's manager due to Von Wagner's loss. After the match, Mr. Stone tells Von Wagner that he is done, then Dijak shows up. Instead of coming down coming down the ramp, he shows up behind Dragunov, but Dragunov figures this out and still wants a fight. Dijak says it is great that pain makes Dragunov feel alive, because he will make him immortal.





Backstage, Hank Walker asks Tank Ledger if he is ready for Joe Coffey. Tank says he is not supposed to debut for a couple of weeks, but he will show Joe Coffey what he is all about tonight.

Joe Coffey beats Tank Ledger. After the match, The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) and The Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid) both show up, and both teams and Gallus all brawl in the ring as multiple referees try to restore order.





Backstage, Roxanne Perez is met by Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo. Perez says she has had a bit of a break, but she is back and coming for the NXT Championship. As D'Angelo offers his services to Perez, Zoey Starks shows up, and Roxanne tells her that she has all the strength to beat her next week. After Roxanne leaves, Stacks tries to ask Stark something when he and D'Angelo are attacked from behind by Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince).





Grayson Waller beats Duke Hudson, Dragon Lee and JD McDonagh in a Fatal 4-Way Match to earn a shot at the NXT Championship at Spring Breakin' after hitting Dragon Lee with a rolling cutter after Dragon Lee hits Hudson with a powerbomb and pinning Hudson for the win. After the match, Carmelo Hayes shows up and has a staredown with Grayson Waller to end the show.
